Yandere Straw Hat Pirates Headcanons (Platonic)

❝tw: possessive and obsessive behavior, overprotection, unhealthy platonic relationships, and implied murder.

❝👒pairing: platonic!yandere straw hat pirates x gender neutral!reader.

The Straw Hats are a really different crew of pirates than the rest. There is no direct hierarchy between them, they respect each other and have affection for each other. Although they obey their captain, there is no tyranny between them but genuine friendship and care.

You were a resident of a small and little-known island in the East Blue, it wasn't really important or rich, so pirate activity was very uncommon there and you were grateful for that. Having grown up and taught that pirates are bad and everyone is a murderer and thieve, you had no desire to meet one.

You were a very calm person and lived humbly and peacefully and liked the way your life was. Until the day pirates arrived on your island. You were immediately alarmed, as were the other residents by their arrival, except that they were not ordinary pirates but the Straw Hats and your life took an unexpected turn.

They arrived and, contrary to the stories your parents told you, they didn't seem threatening or murderous but rather good people. This caught your attention and you were kind to them and even offered them food. Little did you know, that was your biggest mistake.

Their captain, Monkey D. Luffy, found himself attracted to you and he knew he wanted you to join his crew. When you politely declined the offer, he was determined to convince you to accept. He met with the other members and they all agreed with him.

It wasn't easy to get you to accept becoming a pirate, considering you never liked them, but you found yourself attracted to the offer. The idea of being completely free and being able to see the world was what made you accept, albeit reluctantly, Luffy's offer. You have officially become a member of the Straw Hats.

Monkey D. Luffy is very charismatic and funny, kind and a great friend. You adored him and respected him as your captain. Luffy was so pleasant to be around that you never really observed him closely as his actions are quite selfish towards you.

He is selfless, but Luffy still has a selfish side and doesn't want to share his attention with anyone. He is not possessive, but controlling. Luffy wants to know everything about you, where you're going, who you're with and what you've done. He demands to know and will get angry if he doesn't know. Luffy watches over you a lot, not only as your captain, but as his friend. He just wants to make sure that you are happy and satisfied with your friends and, most importantly, with yourself.

Roronoa Zoro, although a little more distant, has a troubled affection for you. He's not close and has that air of arrogance around you, which made you think he doesn't like you. But the truth is that he doesn't know how to deal with you, with the feelings he has. So he thinks it's best to stay away, fearing for his own sanity.

But Zoro can't do it. He wants to be close to you and he will, his main reason is when he feels jealous of your closeness to the rest. He doesn't want to be left aside, so he decides to become close to you. Zoro is possessive and arrogant, he wants to be preferred and feels jealous when someone steals his attention. He's not very easy to deal with, but Zoro knows how to be nice when he wants to be. He is very overprotective and will fight anyone to protect you, including his own friends.

Nami is relaxed and fun, she likes to take you to have fun with her, usually to drink. She is very persuasive and manipulative, you can hardly say no to her. Nami is cunning and doesn't usually get into fights, preferring to let her friends get involved, but for you, she won't care and will get into fights to protect you.

She wants to be your favorite, your number one and the one you go to for comfort or guidance. Nami is very worried about you and cares a lot about your well-being, she gets easily upset when you are sad or angry, and will take satisfaction from anyone who hurt you. However, she will not recognize if she is the cause.

Usopp is very anxious and insecure, although he tries his best not to show it, there is no denying that he feels very bad about himself often and will count on you to pull himself together. He is very sentimental and is easily hurt and will be furious if it is you who hurt him, but will become unbearable if someone makes you sad.

He loses his cool very easily and cries so easily it's ridiculous and Usopp will always go to you for comfort. He values you so much and it will get to the point where he will pretend to be sad just to receive any form of affection from you, he lives for that. He has no qualms about lying to have you hug him or whisper words of comfort to him.

Sanji is calm and rational, always very polite and it is very rare to see him lose his calm. He is very careful around you and loves to load you up with food, cooking your favorites and prioritizing you at every meal. Sanji is very nice and always makes you laugh, loving to hear you laugh or smile. He makes you feel comfortable around him, with his unwavering politeness and calm.

He never acts without thinking and everything he does is carefully planned, especially when it's about you. Sanji is the one who takes care of you the most and is always checking up on you, whether it's listening to you talk or watching you, he never fails and is always calm and smiling. Although he is very kind, Sanji will have no problem having to deal with anyone who dares to harm or hurt you.

Tony Tony Chopper is very kind and attached to you, more than he is to Nami. He is very shy at first, preferring to hide and watch you from afar, fascinated by you but afraid to get closer. He loves to imitate you and takes care of you, especially when you are hurt and need medical attention, often freaking out before realizing he is a doctor.

He is a great friend, very fair and loyal, constantly following you and making sure you are well and comfortable. Although he doesn't feel as comfortable with humans, the affection and care he feels for you is undeniable. He smiles and dances happily when he is praised by you.

Franky loves to flirt with you and does it constantly, even if he is just joking. He loves showing off for you and does it very often, going shirtless around you and trying to get your attention. Franky is a spirit and loves breaking the rules and will try to convince you to break them with him, he is always encouraging you to do what you want without caring what you think.

Although he acts this way, Franky is very protective and kind towards you and knows when to act maturely around you and is always trying to make you smile because he loves your smile. He takes great care of you and is selfless to the extreme, always putting himself first when you are in danger. Franky wants you to be well and happy and he will go to extreme lengths to make sure you are safe and happy.

Brook is eccentric and a shameless pervert and he flirts and hits on you more than anyone and feels no shame or regret in doing so. However, he truly enjoys your company and is kind to you, always prioritizing your wants and needs above anyone else's. He despises meanness and will go against anyone who is mean or acts wrong towards you.

He is very fair and compassionate towards everyone, but when it comes to you, there is an obvious preference and care. Brook is very polite, but he has his limits and will become furious if something happens to you. He has his morals and is empathetic, but that quickly changes when you get involved.

Robin is the calmest of the crew, always calm and reserved, it's impossible to know what she's thinking and she's not as open or transparent as the others. She rarely shows her emotions and this reflects on the way she acts towards you. Robin is very calm in her obsession and no one will be able to notice what she feels for you, her feelings are very well disguised and controlled.

It's very rare to see her lose her cool or get angry and when that happens, everyone gets scared. Robin has become less calm after meeting you and she, although reserved about her feelings, will make a point of taking care of you and showing you all the care and affection she can offer you.

Jinbe is very proud to be a fishman and has great honor. He hates pirates, even though he is one. He has mixed feelings for you, he admires you but hates the fact that you're a pirate and doesn't usually spend so much time by your side, but he cares deeply for you in his own way.

He is not dangerous and will never hurt you or show any violence towards you, he wants to take care of you and will do so in any way he can. Jinbe is very kind and tries his best to make you happy.

The Straw Hats are very overprotective of you and everyone cares and cares in their own specific way, but what they all have in common is the care and affection they have for you. They will fight anyone who thinks of causing you any kind of harm. After all, you are a member of the crew and they will take great care of you.

Everyone's hands are full when he gets hungry because how do you keep out to world's nimblest creature with the added ability of a gumgum fruit?

Please try the cat temperament test he dangles very well in your grip and swings side to side then suddenly his but and back legs are on the ground as his body oddly stretches, it's hilarious

Extremely cuddly, he realized the sun felt amazing but even better if he could toast his fur and toe beans while lying in your lap. You will be stuck there for several hours

Luffy once the laughs are over and he is no longer amused at himself is hissing and growling and fluffed demanding to go find and fight the user to get his normal body back

This realization probably came when he couldn’t kiss you, or when his hat became a prison as he was too small to fit and it was the same as covering him in a box

Choppers test of catnip on him was adorable at first, watching him roll over and over and how he purred up a storm

Then Nami was screaming and Franky had to build a quick cat tower because Cat Luffy was high on life and wanted to zoom and climb like a possessed demon of the night

All in all, it was an amusing time and he was also very amused by it again once back to normal

I hope you are strong enough as Luffy wants to try the cat temperament test again now that he is back to normal

Please tell him he’s cuter the normal way because secretly he’s worried for a moment or two that you’d be disappointed to have lost your kitty cat

Once he understands it was nice but you prefer him he’s bouncing and sunny again, please pay no mind to his babbled plans to get you guys a kitty to play with at the next island…or maybe pay attention to them because he means it

Everyone turns to look at him, glancing at one another confused about the blond’s outburst.

“Whoever did this is going to be-”

You raise your hand, snacking on an apple. “It was me.”

A wide smile stretched across his face, showing the others how much he favors you. “Forgiven because everyone deserves a second chance.”

“Wow, if I did that, I’d be dead.”

“Now you know,” he points (the now ruined) knife in Usopp’s direction. “Don’t mess with a man’s knives or something bad will happen to you.”

“I don’t know if I like him anymore,” Usopp pouts, no longer feeling the need to reach for the food laid out on the swinging table in front of the couch.

“I’m sorry,” you tell him.

“I know and I forgive you.”

“Thank you. Will a hug be a better form of my apology?”

Zoro furrows his brows, “is your nose bleeding?”

The chef immediately denied it, using his kitchen towel to wipe his nose. “I need to change my shirt. There’s too many… stains.”

“His shirt wasn’t even dirty,” Luffy says, not realizing what he’s pointed out.

It has to be a dream...

One moment ago, you were just studying for your college midterms and the next thing you knew, black spots covered your vision causing you to pass out on your desk. Well maybe passing out was your fault since you stayed up for a whole two days straight with nothing but caffeine to keep you energized.

But how did it comes to this?

"Oi...Are you dead?"

A pair of curious eyes poked your form the moment you started to wake up. A somehow familiar face greets you. Tan skin with a noticable scar on the lower left side of his eye and a straw hat. Unlike him, His crew had a look of suspicion as they surround the two of you.

'No way....'

How come you found yourself staring face to face with the Strawhat pirates?!

"What...?"

You can only gawked in shock. There in flesh were Luffy, Sanji, Nami, Zoro, Usopp, Vivi and Chopper. All staring back at you with a mixed of bewilderment and cautiousness.

"Where....Am I...?"

"Hey....Are you okay?! Stop that! Your hurting yourself!"

You questioned yourself, slightly distraughted.

Sweet Chopper got worried seeing how tightly you started gripping your hair with both of your hands. Because of his natural caring nature as a doctor, he immediately approached and grab your hands to stop you from hurting yourself further.

"Nooo! I can't take my exams now!"

Seeing that Vivi and Karoo are with the crew, you concluded that you were transported during the Alabasta arc. With Chopper already being there, that means that they had already been to Drum Island and are now on their way to stop the war brewing in the sand nation.

The Strawhats were somehow nice enough to let you stay with them for a while, although deep down, you knew it was because of seeing you in your most pathetic state.

Well most likely since you're a woman and Sanji is the type of man that will never deny a damsel in distress.

But ofcourse, you didn't want to end up on any of their bad side, and since they allowed you to stay with them, you decided to atleast try to be useful to help around the ship.

Only to find out that you have zero experience in managing a ship. You can't tie knots nor lift heavy equipments, Chopper had to help you out when the Going Merry's cannon accidentally fell on you.

All you could do was learn by observing others do their tasks, respectively.

Zoro was far more suspicious along with Usopp who was wary of you, so you couldn't ask any of them for any pointers. Nami, tried to teach you how to stir the ship but you somehow managed to get off course, so she had to step in, not after yelling at you ofcourse.

As much as Chopper helped you out whenever you were struggling, he was a bit too afraid to actually talk to you. And you like Sanji, but you hate how he treats you like a delicate and fragile glass to the point that he never let you help out whenever he's nearby.

Luffy and Vivi were the only ones who are normal around you. Luffy being somehow curious with your mannerism and weird habits. You were slightly glad that he was still the Luffy you knew in the show.

"Where did you came from, (Name)?"

He would often ask the most random questions about you. And whenever you answer, you could feel the eyes of the crew lingers your form.

"Some where really far away..."

"But I doubt that I can return back..."

You answered honestly. It had been a few days since you got sent into this world and you still don't understand how you managed to get here. You knew that you don't belong here, and without the Strawhats, you would probably be dead by now.

The Grandline is indeed a terrifying place, so you have to do what you must if you want to survive in this world.

Luckily for you, you read a few isekai mangas along with those popular korean manhwas back in your world. So with your One Piece knowledge, you have a slightly advantage of knowing what will happen next. However, you kept silent of that, as you were still trying to figure out what you were suppose to do.

In the world of pirates, a sane person would ask the crew to drop them off to a nearby island, however you were far from sane.

You are in the One Piece universe, how can you miss all those major event, nor miss the opportunity to meet some of your favorite characters.

There were two options for you, To become a pirate or marine. You did considered trying to join the revolutionary army, but you didn't like people bossing you around as you go on missions.

As much as you want to see the adorable Captain Koby as a marine, you weren't that keen to get beatened up by pirates. What if you meet those famous characters of the series, you'll definitely die.

So your only option is to become a pirate, being already on board the Going Merry. Besides, you doubt Luffy will let you go now that he has taken an interest on you, not that you know what he saw on you anyways.

You stayed up a few nights, trying to recall the future events that might happen soon. You wrote them down on a notebook that Nami gave you, not before giving you an interest of paying her back. She was slightly suprised on how you just smiled and told her that you'll somehow find the berries for it.

And now, your habit of not sleeping came back. It's like your studying your notes for an upcoming quiz again. You wrote down everything you remembered regarding the current arc you were in right now.

But first, you have to earn the crew's trusts. So you made a lot of effort to get to know them.

Their personalities were still the same like how it is on the series. There was also somethings that weren't mentioned yet you were able to notice small details while being around them.

Whenever Luffy goes feral at the sight of meat, he would let out small growls when someone approached him. It became noticeable whenever he's really hungry.

You were never a threat, Zoro saw that. You were just a weird helpless woman who somehow just ended up in their ship. Surely he was cautious around you, but seeing how you trip on your own two feet made him rethink of his assumptions that you were a spy sent by baroque works.

"Please...! Teach me how to fight...!"

At your most desperate tone, you plead Zoro to train you. If you have to survive, then you need to learn how to fight.

"Worry not, Mademoiselle! For I shall be there to protect you from those filthy trolls that dares to lay a even a finger on your delicated skin...!"

Sanji straight up told you with hearts on his eyes as he fawn over you having him as your Prince charming on a white horse. You won't learn anything from him.

"Sorry, (Name). I'm not exactly an adept brawler like Sanji, Luffy or Zoro."

"Fighting is not really my expertise. Just ask the guys about it."

Nami and Usopp aren't really much of a fighter, so they wouldn't be able to help that much. And Luffy is out of the question.

"Fighting? Just throw hard punches like this! Oh wait, you can't stretch..."

As much as you like Luffy, his fighting style is a bit too reckless for your liking and you doubt that he can teach you without getting side tracked.

And you can't just ask Vivi, like Nami, she's more of a dictator rather than a fighter. Surely she can fight, but you doubt using whip like weapons is fit for you.

So Zoro was your last hope. Watching anime for as long as you can remember, swords is something you were familiar of and You always wanted to learn how to use a sword, and Zoro being a skilled swordsman could maybe teach you a thing or two to atleast defend yourself.

"If you're asking for my help, you must have a good reason. But why should I help you..?"

Zoro was still wary of you, yet you can see that he was less hostile than he was when you first ended up at Going Merry's deck.

"Unlike any of you guys here, I'm the most vulnerable...! I'll die the moment the Navy or another pirate ship appears!"

Okay, you could have sworn that you sounded and look like another Usopp in his eyes.

"If you're serious about learning to fight, you'll have to prove your dedication. Show me you're worth the effort, and maybe, just maybe, I'll consider teaching you a thing or two."

Zoro was dead serious. But it also look like he's willing to teach you how to weild a sword if your resolve was strong enough.

"I'll do it! I want to learn how to defend myself. I can't rely on you guys all the time."

Seeing him suddenly grin, you knew you were about to experience hell.

A/C: Sorry for delay in posting, my college comes back to classes and kill my time, but here it is. sorryfor the mistakes and enjoyy (we'll have part 3)

Part 1

"(n/n)! (n/n)! Look what I find! "

Your relationship with Uta a lot improved, since from that day on, Shanks tried to make you interact more with the crew, you learned a little with each officer on the crew. Beck taught you how to fight with Shanks, some medicine with Hongo, improve your aim with Yasopp, cooking with Roux, and your music skills with Monster and Punch.

"a sheet music? where did you find it?"

"Here on this bench, can you read sheet music?"

"very little, but I understand that one a little. shouldn't we talk to these strange uncle or Shanks?"

"Nah, It's okay, you worry too much. they don't know anything, that uncle wants me to stay here, and stop being the singer for the Redhair's pirates!"

"Uta... This weird uncle loves your voice maybe..."she shush you with her index finger in your lips.

"Don't you dare behave like Shanks! He says the same thing! I belong to the Red Hair pirates like you! We are Shanks children! We will be the most powerful of the New Genesis!" She removed her finger away from your lips. "Let's play this song! I start and you accompany me with the flute, okay?"

You sigh: "Fine. Let's do with! I wanna see Monster face after this!" You giggled putting your flute near your lips.

Uta take a breath and...

Everything went out.

It was like a blink of an eye, you felt the noise of the waves… and murmurs. Soon you heard words… but you didn't understand.

"Boss... waking up." You tried to concentrate more.

"Guys.. slowly... she... hit... head... hard" You felt a headache and begin to regain the conscience.

"(y/n) are you awake?" Shanks voice come into your ears.

"hm... Shanks? What... What happened?" You tried to get up, but Hongo hands pinned you in the bed.

"At least she didn't hit her head so hard." Beck says. he was stand up beside Hongo.

"Uncle Beck..."

"Thank God, she didn't lose her memories." Hongo sigh in relief. "do you wanna sit up?" You nod and Beck aproached you and put his hand under your shoulder and sits you up in the bed.

"There you go, Troublemaker." He smiles, and Shanks aproached you.

"How are you feeling, little archer?"

"What happened?"

"You've already asked this question." the capitain teased with a smile while his hand brushed your hair.

"And you didn't answer..." You rubbed your head.

"I wanna bring some painkillers for her, I will be right back" Hongo stand up and smile faintly to you and left the room.

"I will warn the others, that our little Devil is awake..." Beck pat your shoulder and left.

You notice the sudden silence. Shanks finaly spoke.

"You slept for three weeks... You worried me..."

"Three... weeks...? I... I... don't remember anything after I close my eyes for start play my flute... Wait. Where's Uta? Is she fine? Does She? Does she..." Tears started to fall as you thought the worst. Shanks quickly cut those thoughts short.

"Uta is fine, don't worry."

"I want to see her!"

"(y/n). Uta stayed in Elegia." Shanks smile faded for a while. "She will become the best singer in the world, and she couldn't do that with us. She decided to stay."

"That... That... That's a lie, Shanks!" You shouted your tears running out your eyes. "She said... She said..." You sob "She said she wanted to stay with us! She wanted to stay with us! You abandoned her?! If you did this please tell me!"

"I didn't abandon Uta, (y/n). Listen, I know you've been through a lot and are very mature for a 10 year old… but you're still a child… all I can say is that you and Uta messed with a sheet of music that you shouldn't move." he hugged you. "Do you want Uta to make her dream come true?" You nod. "So be happy, I know you're sad, but you have to be strong. When the time comes, we'll see her again, and when that day comes, we'll be very proud. Promise you'll be happy for your younger sister?

You took a while to respond. "I promise"

He smiled.

12 years later

“already awake at this time, (y/n)?” Robin says when she sees you in the kitchen "you slept really late last night."

"I wanted to sleep more, but a certain commotion invaded my room." You sit in the table, ruffling.

"(y/n)-chan! I'm sorry that you sleep has been interrupted!" Sanji runs after you with heart in his eyes with a tray with a glass of milk and cookies. "I made these cookies for you! But before you eat, Let me know who are the bastards who bothered you."

"Don't worry I already take care of it."

"what is this (y/n)? Why so much violence towards us?" Luffy says rubbing his head followed by Usopp and Brook, the three has huge cocks in their heads.

"We just got a little carried away, there was no need to hit us, like that." Usopp say walking towards you.

"Stop giving excuses like Uncle Yasopp!" You shouted while hit Luffy who tried to eat your cookies. "If I had known that spending a few months with you would be such chaos, I would have stayed with Shanks."

"Even Brook was among them?" Nami asked.

"He took advantage of these two idiots coming in to invade my room."

"Don't get me wrong, (y/n)-chan, I was just curious to know the color of your panties."

"PERVERT!" Sanji kicked him.

"You are too, wire eyebrow!" Zoro shouted.

"SILENCE!" Nami put an end to the chaos. "What (y/n) would think about us?"

You giggled.

"No problem, I'm used with Luffy. And I can see, you are pretty excited. What happened?"

"I'm so excited to met princess Uta!" Usopp shouted and you froze, your cookie fell in the ground with your glass of milk.

"(y/n). You okay?" You woke up from your trance of amazement, with Robin's voice.

"Uh, I'm fine. Just... surprised..." you went to pick up the broken glass, but Sanji stopped you.

"she has the same name as your sister, Is it not h-"

"It's just a coincidence Luffy." You cut him. "You must be excited, Brook, they say Elegia is a song heaven."

"Yes, it feels like I'm living a dream. But you must be excited after all you are an instrumentalist too."

"It had been a long time since I played a complete song" You had learned to use your flute as a weapon, you were from a windy island after all, maybe using this knowledge and the power of wind manipulation that you acquired from your island could launch stronger attacks. and you also coated your flute with Haki, which made it more resistant, as well as your archery attacks.

"We're coming to Elegia, Luffy." Jinbe's voice resounded as everyone went upstairs to pack their things to dock the ship.

...

"I can't believe it, Shanks! Did you really bring us here?!" Uta exclaimed, jumping off the ship.

"Elegia, the paradise of music! Feel free, girls." Shanks yelled putting you on his shoulders.

"Can I ask a favour to you, (n/n)?"

"Of course."

"When you see that Uta is going to get into trouble, activate big sister mode, okay?" You nod. "Uta is in your little hands..." he smiled and placed you on the ground "anything that happens, you can call any of us"

"Okay!" you jumped and did a somersault, running to the entrance of the island. "Run inside!"

"(y/n)!"

"(Y/n)."

"Ah Zoro." the swordsman broke you out of the trance of memory "did something happen?"

"We've already docked."

"Ah, thank you for warning me. You can go ahead, I'll meet you."

You came to a conclusion, when you saw Elegia, you had already been transported to Uta's world. just like all the Straw Hats. You had to tell Luffy and the others the truth, but you didn't want to and couldn't meet your little sister.

you went to the remote side of the island, where your memories took you. Soon a song started, you knew the melody right away.

"Our song..."

"Uncle Punch! Monster!" you came running to Punch and Monster. Punch smiled picking you up.

"look who it is! Our favorite flutist!" Monster who was on his shoulder laughed along with him.

"What's wrong (n/n)? you're really happy."

"Why didn't you wait for me (n/n)?" Uta came running as you giggle.

"You are too slow!"

"Ok! ok! What the two little ladies want?"

"We write a New song together!"

"Uta!" You shouted.

"A song?" Monster came down from Punch's shoulder

"Together?!" Punch shouted happily picking up Uta too "I can't believe these little girls wrote a full song! Boss will love hear that!"

"Shhhh!" Uta says "It's a secret! we only told you because we want help.”

"what kind of help do you two want?"

"I'm having some problems with the sheet music." you said.

"and I want more things in our song!"

"what did you want?" Monster asked.

"a flute solo that (n/n) is going to do!"

"Will you play a flute, (y/n)?!"

"Well... I didn't agree 100%..."

"but I decided that she will!"

Monster and Punch laugh, and Punch put you two down.

"Fine we'll help you two, but we need to know one thing..."

"What" You and Uta ask together.

"the name of the song you fools!" Monster giggled at the comment.

"Your... what?" You gritted your teeth at the monkey.

"The name... the name... name..." Uta pondered "I know! New Genesis!"

you stopped chasing Monster and he stopped running. "New Genesis? It's wonderful, I loved it!"

you were deep in thought when you hit something, or someone.

"Don't you watch where you're going? You idiot."

"I should be asking that question, (y/n)-ya.”

"Trafalgar Law?!" You and Law have known each other for many years... you exchange favors from time to time, largely because of the alliance between him and you.

"Wait? What are you doing here? Don't tell me..."

"Don't even think that." he said in his serious tone, extending a hand to help you. "I came to accompany... Bepo." You remembered how much the polar bear liked Uta. "but I have to admit, she's quite strange, she just arrested Big Mom's crew, she seems to be extremely strong, not just anyone can defeat Oven, But there's something I want to know."

"what would it be?"

"strawhat-ya said something a few minutes ago... about Uta-ya..."

"yes...she's my sister."

"WHAT?! YOU ARE UTA'S SISTER?!" Bepo shouted surprised.

"Adopted."

"Oh! It's the same thing! Why didn’t you ever tell me?!”

"Bepo... it's enough" Law cutted his firstmate.

"I'm sorry." bepo apologized, you almost let out a rare laugh, when you felt a strange tingling. You activated your Observation Haki.

"Luffy has problems. Uta captured his crew and him."

"I see"

"Sometimes I forget you have Observation Haki"

Law rolls his eyes and extends his hand. "Room. Shambles." Luffy appear near you together with Bartolomeo.

"Bartolomeo?!"

"(Y/n)?! Oh Trafalgar you are here too. Wait, what's happening here?"

"(Y/n), You won't believe who I found." Luffy says he excitedly.

"Let me guess: my younger sister?" you replied seriously.

"your younger... wait did you know? Why didn't tell me?"

"we don't have time for that stawhat-ya, we have to run away."

"But-"

"Law is right. we have to go. Uta is coming here."

"Welcome to Elegia, the music heaven" a weird Old Man call your attention. "Red haired pirates I guess, Feel free, I see you brought two beautiful little girls, may I know their names?"

"I'm Uta, and she is my big sister, (y/n). She is a flutist and I am a singer." Uta introduced you and her to the old man.

"Uta, let (y/n) introduce herself"

"It's okay Uncle Beck."

"a singer... and a flutist, you're too young to know how to play such a complicated instrument."

"(Y/n) She may be very young but she plays very well." Shanks says like a prouldly father. "She is a genius!"

"I would like to see your talents." the old man told you and uta to follow him... You looked at Shanks before follow Uta.

"(y/n)-ya, focus." Law's voice called you again... but it was different. you felt like you were in a different place, in Law's arms. you blinked to focus. "you were going to hit your face against the wall"

"Oh, I'm sorry and thank you."

"Why didn't you stop me from banging my head against the wall?"

"she wasn't being stupid."

"(y/n) are you a little too quiet? Is Uta?"

"What?"

"you always diverted the topic when we talked about her. Why Shanks did-"

"That's not the time to talk" you cutted him.

"It is!'

"What are you doing? Run away now, when we're safe, we'll hear the answers. Right (Y/n)-ya?"

You sighed getting up. "I promise, I'll give the answers for all of your questions" You looked up. "We need to hide, now" You looked at the Uta soldiers.

"Hey all of you!" All of You look up. "Come here."

It was a man, a old man with gray long hair in the laterals and no single hair on the top, a scar is noticed of his head, and the voice is so familiar.

"You grow up, (y/n)."

"Gordon..."

Applause, applauses and more applauses.

To Uta.

You are beside her and you just hear the sound of the people screaming Uta's name and you are invisible.

"Amazing! Please Uta stay here in Elegia and I will teach you the music art! I'm begging!" This broke your little heart in little pieces, you walked away slowly whimpering while Beckman picks you up and lets you cry on his shoulder queitly. You feel a hand rub your back softly for a second before leaving.

"You did great, troublemaker"

"No one even listen my song... Uncle Beck"

"(y/n)?" Luffy said. "What happened to you today?"

"I already say: nothing."

"Who are you?"

"I ruled Elegia a time ago, my name is Gordon."

"This was a Kingdom? But I don't see anyone here!"

"Elegia has once known as a greatst musical Kingdom in th world, but it dissapeared overnight."

"This place just dissapear?"

"They say the island was attacked by a famous pirate."

"Let me guess: Twelve years ago?"

Your voice caught everyone in suprise.

you stop listen, in some time... you don't when, but your mind was in your sister. Shanks said he didn't abandon her, and you believed him. she was the perfect sister. The singer everyone loves.

One Piece - Sanji x Female Reader

Warnings - NSFW. 18+Only

The One Piece rewatch is progressing slowly but surely (I forgot how much I loved this series, it’s just so much fun) and of course this beautiful moron wins me over. Hence, this silliness.

You had mixed feelings about the Straw Hat Pirates’ cook, even before you had officially joined the crew. He was a skilled fighter, you had witnessed that first hand countless times by now, and his food was delicious, but his shameless ogling of practically every woman (including you and the other Straw Hat Ladies) he came across was downright absurd.

But, as you watched him quietly from the dining hall as he worked away in the kitchen preparing dinner, certain other things you had noticed about him were beginning to make themselves more known.

Such as the observation that Sanji had very, very nice hands.

Long, elegant fingers gripped the handle of his knife as he deftly cut up some ingredients, blond hair falling softly over his eyes. His handsome face – normally lit up with near delirious delight at the sight of whatever woman had entered his line of sight – was much more collected, his gaze laser focused on preparing the food in front of him, a small, confident smirk tugging at the edge of his lips. It wasn’t cocky or anything – it was the smile of a man who knew exactly what he was doing, and knew he was doing it well.

You’d been imagining Sanji with that expression in other contexts for the last couple of hours, and it was doing things for you.

“Finished, my dear lady!”

Sanji looked up at you from the counter, that dopey, lovesick expression filling his face, and for a moment you thought the spell was broken. Maybe you would just accept the meal he was making and move on with your day. Then Sanji turned to grab a plate, and your eyes slipped over his strong, lean body, the glimpse of his toned chest between the buttons of his clean white shirt.

…damn it.

“…thank you, Sanji.”

You quietly ate your food, watching as Sanji cleaned up the kitchen, a merry spring in his step – “There’s no greater joy than preparing a meal for a beautiful woman!” he undoubtably would say that to any woman he made a meal for but it made you feel a rush of fondness for the fool, regardless – bending over slightly to put something away. His long white shirt pulled up slightly, drawing your attention to the way his black pants hugged his tight, firm, delectable-

Fuck it.

You finished your meal, then stood up from the table. “Sanji.”

He turned towards you, a crooked grin on his pretty, pretty face. “Yes?”

“Thank you for the food.” You said mildly, stepping around the table and towards the counter.

Sanji watched you, his eyes running over your body, before landing on your chest, his tongue practically on the floor. “Of course-!”

You grabbed the bottom of your shirt and peeled it over your head, leaving your breasts bare and exposed. Sanji’s sentence died on his tongue, his eyes practically popping from their sockets, a loud clatter of cutlery crashing to the floor as it tumbled from his hands.

There were a few seconds of silence, before you cleared your throat. “Sanji, I want to have sex with you.” Best to be upfront, you thought.

Sanji said nothing, eyes glued to your chest, his jaw hanging open. His cigarette slowly slipped from his mouth to fall to the counter. “…eh?”

“Sex, Sanji. Me. You. Now, preferably.” You crossed your arms over your chest, which seemed to jolt Sanji to life. His mouth snapped shut, his entire body seeming to quiver, a deep flush of colour rushing to his face. You turned on your heel and started walking – the Women’s Quarters were closer, and you’d apologise to Nami and Robin later.

There was a loud thud and a strangled curse as Sanji presumably ran into the counter as he stumbled after you. You were barely halfway down the hall when Zoro walked in, heading towards the dining room you had just left. The swordsman gave you a cool nod in greeting, although his head quickly snapped around to follow you as you strolled past him.

“What the hell-?”

“W-wait!” Sanji yelped from somewhere behind you. There was a confused “Hey!” from Zoro as Sanji nearly collided with him, but you kept walking, until Sanji’s rapid footsteps thudded closer. “Did…are you-?”

Sanji seemed to be having trouble forming coherent sentences, so you used the opportunity to grab the collar of his shirt, tugging him through the door to the Women’s Quarters. You turned sharply, placing a hand in the centre of his chest, the firm, warm muscle of his torso radiating through the thin fabric. You pushed firmly until Sanji stumbled backwards into the door, knocking it shut.

Sanji stared at you with wide eyes. You huffed softly, stepping closer, your chest pressing against his. He made a strangled, wheezing sound, his eyes darting from your face to your breasts.

“Sanji.” You trailed a hand upwards, fingers lightly hooking around his collar, tugging his head down towards yours. “If you bleed on me, I’ll throw you overboard.”

Sanji stiffened, his face flushing. “Ah…” He choked out, a nervous grin twitching onto his lips as he squirmed between you and the door. “I…I…”

You yanked on his collar, tugging his lips down to meet yours, pulling hard enough to yank the first few buttons of his shirt loose. Sanji gasped, his lips parting, and you slipped your tongue into the warmth of his mouth. He groaned and bucked against the door, his hands grasping for your sides, as though desperate for something to anchor himself to. You kissed him hard and deep, and he clumsily returned the gesture, moaning softly as you pulled back, sucking lightly on his lower lip.

“Sanji…” He looked dazed and flushed, his fingers barely grazing your hips, as though unsure where to put them. “…have you done this before?”

Sanji sucked in a breath, another warm, rosy flush filling his cheeks. You softly reached up to cup his jaw, peering up into his eyes with a small, reassuring smile. “Do you want to do this, Sanji?”

Sanji swallowed thickly, eyes raking over you in a way that sent a warm, pleasant rush over your skin. “Yes.” He croaked out. His grip tightened ever so slightly on your hips, his thumbs lightly slipping under the waistline of your pants to lightly stroke your skin. “Yes.” He said again, louder and more firm, a grin fighting its way onto his blushing, handsome face.

You smiled at him, softly stroking his sharp, pretty jawline, hands sliding down to his torso. “Okay then.” You grabbed either side of his shirt and yanked hard, sending buttons scattering noisily across the floor as you tore it open.

Sanji yelped in surprise, his hips stuttering and breath hitching as you ran your fingers down the toned flesh of his torso, hissing through his teeth as your nails lightly raked over his sculpted abdomen. Heat flared in your gut as you admired the way his muscles rolled and flexed under his smooth skin, the way his lean, powerful body quivered eagerly under your touch.

“You’re a beautiful man, Sanji.” You spoke honestly, reaching up to gently grasp his jaw again. Sanji flushed prettily, his mouth falling open to speak, but you kissed him again, making him moan softly instead. Your words seemed to have sparked his confidence, however, as his hands slid around your hips to grab at your rear, a low, pleased growl deep in his throat as he tugged your hips against his, grinding eagerly against you.

You gasped and arched against him, your fingers tangling in his blond hair as you pushed your body backwards, allowing you both to stumble blindly in the general direction of the bed. You both fumbled with buttons and tugged at fabric, Sanji groaning happily as his fingers danced between your thighs, nearly tripping over his pants as you pushed them impatiently down his hips. His length sprung free eagerly, damn it he was pretty everywhere.

The back of your knees struck the mattress, and you tumbled together, a messy tangle of grasping hands and limbs. Sanji tore his mouth from yours, eyes wide and wild, his gaze immediately shooting downwards to your chest, rising and falling as you chuckled breathlessly beneath him.

“…do you like them?” You knew the answer already, of course, but you relished the way Sanji’s gaze needily followed the slow, deliberate movement of your hands as they brushed over your breasts. You hooked your thighs around his hips, squeezing hard and tugging him down, his face falling into the valley between your breasts. He groaned deeply, his hands sliding up and down the bare skin of your sides.

“Yes….!” He panted, tongue flickering against your skin, his voice vibrating in your chest. You shivered pleasantly as his eager mouth began slowly exploring your flesh, his hot tongue caressing your skin as his hands reached up to gently cup your breasts. “They’re…you…they’re so pretty…”

You moaned, arching your back slightly, digging your heels into Sanji’s rear as you squeezed your thighs around his hips. You ran your fingers through his hair, breath hitching as his lips worshiped your chest. “Well…” You murmured, lightly raking your nails across his scalp. “I suppose that’s your reward for being such a good boy…”

“Oh, fuck—”

Sanji’s back went rigid, a strangled moan spilling past his lips as he buried his face in your chest, his hips bucking wildly. He slumped on top of you, his full weight dropping on you so suddenly it briefly knocked the air from your lungs.

You lay there together quietly, Sanji’s heavy breathing tickling your skin. You blinked a few times, glancing down at the messy tangle of his blond hair, mused from your fingers. “…Sanji, did you just…?”

Sanji made a weak, mumbling sound, reluctantly lifting his gaze to meet yours. His face was crimson, his expression somewhere in the range of completely mortified. “I…I’m sorry, it…it just happened…”

You didn’t think you’d ever seen Sanji so thrown off balance. It was rather sweet, really. You stroked his jaw slightly, shooting him a small grin. “Sanji, it’s fine. It’s a little flattering, actually.”

Sanji gave you a grateful look, before taking a deep breath. “It won’t do. What kind of gentleman doesn’t let a lady go first…?” His lips brushed lightly against your skin as he began wriggling down the bed, his palms rubbing along your thighs. “Let me make it up to you.”

“Sanji, you don’t-ah, ah….!” You gasped as Sanji’s tongue reached its target, your fingers digging into the sheets as Sanji began his earnest, enthusiastic apology. “S-Sanji…” You groaned, breathing turning heavy as Sanji slipped your thighs over his shoulders, glancing up at you with a small, pleased grin.

It was the smile of a man who was about to do something, and knew he was about to do it well.

“Where’s Sanji?!” Luffy cried out, slumped over the dining room table, in the throes of despair. “We’re gonna staaaaaaaaaarve!”

Robin stepped around the hungry Captain, glancing curiously into the kitchen. “It does seem odd for Sanji to just take off right before dinner. Perhaps we’ll get lucky and he’ll be back any moment.”

Zoro snorted into his bottle. “Somebody’s getting lucky, anyway.”

“What?”

“Nothing—”

“YES!”

Everyone startled as your voice rang out across the ship, followed by muted moans. Zoro lowered his drink to the table, then promptly clamped his hands over Chopper’s ears.

“Hey!” He protested, squirming in confusion. “What’s the big idea?!”

“I’ll tell you when you’re older.”

“YES, YES, YES, SANJI, YES—”

Usopp began to blush furiously, while Luffy tilted his head, blinking rapidly, before a bright smile filled his face. “Hey, she found Sanji!” He hopped up from the table, only to be quickly yanked back down by Robin, her expression bemused.

“Not right now, Luffy.”

“But—”

“Nope.”

Luffy looked puzzled as he settled back into his seat, your blissful cries rising in volume. Nami clasped a hand over her mouth, smothering laughter, while everyone else immediately tried to find something else to focus on.

Nobody saw you and Sanji for the rest of the night.

a/n: idk what this is but I thought of it! And it’s been a while since I’ve written headcanons/imagines like this so this is kinda weird and badly written this time LOL

with a giant grin plastered across his face, luffy’s response is instant and genuine, “im so lucky to have you too!” he laughs boisterous and bright as he continues, “that’s perfect isn’t it? im lucky to have you and you’re lucky to have me! we sure do make a great team.” you can’t help the way your body shakes with warm laughter at his sincerity.

there’s a moment of silence as law gathers himself. you think he didn’t hear you but then he coughs to break the silence and gain your attention. the tips of his ears are pink and he’s avoiding eye contact with you as he mumble his response, “yeah well, thanks for putting up with me.”

zoro pauses briefly turning to look at you with mild surprise. but before he’s even had time to fully process your remark, he finds his lips quirking into a smirk as you add on “i mean you are a bit of a moron, but you’re MY moron, ya know?” and with that he’s laughing the most he has in a while (but you’ve always had that affect on him, always made him feel things he didn’t think was possible), “you took the words right out of my mouth, dumbass.”

“my love,” sanji exclaims, “it’s me who should be considered the lucky one!” he gently reaches for your hand to bring it to his lips. he places a delicate kiss to each of your knuckles before continuing his sentiment, “i get to see your wonderful face and spend time with you each day. it’s far more than i am worthy of!” but then your eyebrows knit together and your lips are being pulled into a pout and sanji feels his love for you grow tenfold as you object to his statement, “you deserve all my love and affection!” and sanji concedes immediately because your word is law.

wordlessly, ace pulls you into a tight embrace, burying his face in the crook of your neck. “you okay?” you ask, and the concern in your voice is enough to make his heart melt. “yeah, can we just stay like this for a little.” he whispers into your skin. you nod, understanding his need for this reassurance, “i mean it though, i really am lucky to have you.” and as you slowly run your fingers through his hair, ace whispers “i really really love you.”

a cheeky grin sneaks across shanks’ face “you sure are! i am pretty funny, sexy, caring, and intelligent.” you snort at his expected response, “not to mention humble.” he gasps in faux shock, “of course! how could I forget humble?!” as you burst into a fit of laughter so beautifully unrestrained shanks can’t help but think that out of the two of you, he is, most certainly, the lucky one.

Drinking with Ace was not a smart idea ‘cause while the alcohol went directly on your brain, it seemed that Ace burned it as soon as it touched his lips. So it’s not a big surprise when at the end of the evening you were drunk, but he was perfectly fine. “So” you smirked at him, with a courage you usually didn’t have. “You catch fire only to the fist or even up the elbow?” it was such a dumb line that you should’ve feel embarrassed even if drunk, but Ace found it endearing. “You are so out your mind right now, y/n” he told you, helping you get to your room. “You make me out of my mind” you kept going, ignoring his laughter. “Whatever you say” he respond to you. “Usually I’m better at flirting” you mumble to yourself. “You’re going great, why don’t you try when your sober?” he asked you with a smirk, leavening you at the door at yours room without words. The next time you hanged out together, Ace kept an eye on you. “Try to remain sober this time, y/n” he winked at you. “I really wanna satisfy your curiosity”.

that night he did satisfy your curiosity… and not just that

( 📁 ) THINGS THEY DO TO MAKE IT UP TO YOU

synopsis: they can't apologize like normal human beings, so they do their quirky acts to make you forgive them

characters: sanji (shocker), zoro & luffy!

warnings: swearing, (unintentional) angst for luffy..

☆ whenever you and SANJI have had a fight or disagreement of any sort, he folds first. he is always the first one to give the 'cold-shoulder' act up.

☆ usually, he wouldn't ever stop talking about how much he loves you and how absolutely drop-dead gorgeous you are, but the moment he should talk about all that, he doesn't.

☆ he knows he fucked up.. but he can't bring himself to charm you up like usual.. so- he decides to bake his way out of this problem!

☆ your favorite cake, fruits, drinks, chocolate, and anything you ever mentioned to enjoy will be made and presented to you by your truly apologetic sanji <3

☆ he'd be standing in the kitchen for hours on end. not taking a break because he feels like it's 'his responsibility' to make you forgive him the hard way.

☆ eventually, after being presented more than a month's worth of desserts.. you got worried about the state your charming blonde lover was in.

"not that i forgot our fight.. but you should take a break, sanji.. you've been overworking yourself since this morning!" you tell him, trying your hardest not to sound worried. he gives you an exhausted smile, dropping the cutlery he had in his one hand and the spatula he had in the other one. "you talked to me," he spoke, barely louder than a whisper, before he let out a sigh of relief.

you felt your heart ache, seeing him in his current condition; sweat dripping from his forehead, hands cramped up from all the work he had done, and his apron splattered with a mixture of flower and melted chocolate.

your eyes met his almost immediately, which resulted in him instinctively noticing your sorrowful eyes. "what's wrong, darling? you alright?" he dusts his hands off with the kitchen towel before making his way to you swiftly. "my love why are you giving me your sad puppy eyes right now?" he chuckles as he cups your face in his cold hands, caressing your cheeks with his thumbs.

"because you overworked yourself because of me.. your hands are all cramped up because i was too stubborn to forgive you right away! i don't deserve you sanji.." he gasps, almost offended. "now that is the bullest crap i've ever heard. darling, i've gone way longer with way more pressure on me to complete dishes for a full-house back at baratie." he chuckles yet again, this time more relaxed. "what i did today was a mere exercise to make sure i was still able to perform under some pressure," a big smile growing on his face.

"sweetheart, if anything i don't deserve you.. i'm sorry for upsetting you earlier.. i was deep in the wrong, yet i'm only apologizing now. forgive me, my love." sanji gives kisses your forehead while grabbing your hands, interlocking them with his. "then let's say we're even now.." you two make up and after forcing sanji to let you help clean up the kitchen, you do just that.

☆ sanji tells you he won't 'bake his way out of a fight' anymore, but knowing him, you didn't believe that statement one bit. you told him to "just make sure you don't overwork yourself anymore.. wouldn't want your pretty hands to hurt.." ~ which ended with him teasing you the whole afternoon.. "you think i have pretty hands~? how very endearing, my love."

☆ now anytime you and ZORO fight, with him being in the wrong, his pride always gets in the way of him owning up to his shit and apologizing. that's all you need from him, an apology. you don't expect him to bake you desserts or write you a poem declaring his live for you, no you just want an apology that isn't forced out of zoro by sanji or nami, or even usopp!

☆ you ignore him because he messed up big time and won't even acknowledge it? ha, child's play, he ignores you. you don't even know how this petty fight escalated so far that both of you haven't talked for a good couple days.

☆ usopp is basically begging you two to make up. considering he had been forced given the role to communicate things between the two of you. zoro needed to clean his sword but didn't know which cleaning agent to use, because you always gave him the right cleaning agent? ⟶ usopp is sent to you asking you which cleaning agent is best to clean zoro's swords with. receiving the dirtiest glance from you, you tell him to tell zoro "he should pay attention more to what others say, instead of staring at his reflection off of his sword 24/7!" ⟶ usopp goes to zoro and delivers the message. zoro scoffs and chuckles lightly before angrily giving usopp yet another message to deliver to you. ⟶ after a while usopp started hiding from the both of you, not wanting to get sent to other anymore.

☆ nami is on your side, of course, sending dirty glances to zoro any chance she gets. she doesn't give him the silent treatment, but instead aggressively tries to let him acknowledge his faults so he could own up to his shit and just apologize!

"y'know zoro, i'm not even in this relationship, yet your ego still somehow found a way to suffocate me! fucking realize you've been acting like a child and just own up to the fact that you messed up, damn it." nami blurts out, all in one breath, before she walks off annoyed.

zoro let's out yet another scuff before sanji makes his way to the moss head. "don't you even start-" zoro sends him an angry glance which has sanji raising his hands in defense, chuckling slightly. "i just can't stand seeing my beloved y/n in distress like this. i don't know the details, i don't want to know the details. all i know is that if you don't want to lose her, i'd act fast if i were you.." he just as quickly turned away and resumed his kitchen activities.

out of all the things the crew told him, hoping to convince the stubborn moss head to apologize to you, this stuck with him for the rest of the day.

after having a rather silent diner with the crew, the same as the past few days, you finished first, leaving the table immediately. "thank you, sanji, the soup was delicious, as expected," you tried to smile at him which resulted in your lips becoming a wobbly line.

"anytime, darling, i'm glad you enjoyed.." sanji noticed your sorrowful expression, as did the rest of the crew. you sent him a forced smile again before leaving the kitchen, heading for your and nami's room.

zoro sighed before standing up from his spot, leaving the kitchen to follow you. reaching your room's door, he notices you locked it. "hey! open the door," zoro leans against the handle, his forehead against the door. "come on now, just open the door for me baby.." his voice softens, realizing how fucking stupid he's been acting, neglecting you in so many ways. "listen.. i'm sorry for being such an ass- you didn't deserve my shitty attitude, i shouldn't have acted so stubborn, i'm sorry. i- i just can't lose you okay? please open the door and talk to me, yell at me, scream your lungs out, just please let me see you baby.. " with that he balled his hand that was leaning on the door into a fist, remorse dripping out of his mouth as he finally realizes how wrong he has been acting, how bad he's been treating you, how much more you deserved.

what surprised him was that the moment you opened the door, you weren't carrying an annoyed expression. no, your eyes were teary, your upper lip was trembling, cheeks a red shade, and your eyebrows furrowed. "h-hey, don't cry now.." zoro wrapped his arms around you, whispering endearments into your ear whilst caressing your back.

you two ended up cuddling on you small framed bed, that barely kept the two of you on it. not a word communicated between the two of you. just you laying on his chest, playing with his fingers while his chin rests on top of your head, still caressing your back.

"i'll do better for you.." zoro breaks the silent, planting a kiss on your head. "i can't lose you, i won't lose you.." you look up at his last statement, putting your hand on his cheek. "you won't lose me.. you'll never lose me."

☆ yeah, fights with this man sure are extreme.. but you two make it work

☆ every once in a while, on a full moon, you and LUFFY experience a disagreement lead to a big fight. of course your relationship isn't always all rainbows and butterflies. but considering luffy's nature of not taking most things serious, lots of fights were prevented. you thought luffy was flirting with a waitress when you left? he laughed so hard, getting cramps in his stomach, because he thought it was the most stupid thing ever that you believed he would flirt with someone other than you. he made you feel ridiculous, thinking of such a thing! ⟶ fight prevented!

☆but sometimes, this very nature of his was what lead to some of the most dreadful moments of your life.

☆ anytime such an event would take place, luffy would be the furthest away from it, the furthest away from you.. it's not that he's angry at you, per se. he just needs his time alone to review all his actions leading up to the fight that may have caused for it to get this big. most of the time he'll be dozing off, too tired to look back on his actions. he doesn't even know himself why he always ends up avoiding you for a couple hours after a fight. all he knows is that he, somehow, always ends up understanding what went wrong between the two of you.

☆ but this routine action of his doesn't always receive a positive reaction from you..

there he went, yet again, neglecting his responsibility in this fight. it was petty, you knew it was, still you wanted him to own up to it! it wasn't fair that he'd leave you shaking, crying, screaming at the top of your lungs, out of nowhere. you were talking, well actually arguing, about how luffy had been avoiding you lately, how he'd turn around once he'd see you, sit at the other side of the table, leave the room the second he saw you enter it, but what hurt the most was that he'd shake off your touches..

you finally confronted him about this, not wanting to bottle up your emotions any longer. luffy reacted as usual, disregarding the issue jokingly, he assured, "it's not a big deal~ you're just seeing things." and then you snapped, everything you bottled up 'till this moment, unleashed. you were a sobbing mess. he had never seen you in this state, shit even you have never seen yourself like this.

you asked him what happened, what you did wrongfully. why was he ignoring you? why did he act like he was allergic to your touches, your voice, your conversations, to you? why all of a sudden? what changed between you? you wanted, no, needed him to answer; you hoped he would realize how stupid he was acting, how neglecting he had been. you needed him to take you in his arms and assure you he still loved you, that he still cared, that he always will..

as if all your sobs were disregarded. instead of talking to you, he stood up wordlessly and walked out of your room, gently closing the door behind him. which resulted in your cries escalating as you tried muffling your sounds with a pillow.

where did he go? why did he leave all of a sudden? does he not care about you? all of these thoughts were racing in your mind, overwhelming you to the point you were gasping for air. at this point, nami came sprinting to your shared room, worried about your condition. "what did that boy do?!" she questions with a mix of distress and anger.

all the while, luffy was sat on the figurehead of the going merry, the sheep. he was enjoying the cold breeze as he kept breathing in and out, trying to understand what had just happened. he soon realized he walked out on you the moment you needed him most. and oh how it should've hurt him, how his heart should be aching right now. instead, he feels nothing except the subtle chilly breeze flowing against his skin, through his hair, moving his flip-flops. he knows he should care, he knows he should run back to you, embrace you in his arms, and tell you he loves you. but he doesn't because as much as he wants you to feel loved and cared for, he can't be the one to make you feel that way. it's not fair to you, you deserve someone that means it when he tells you he loves you and always will be there for you.

he can't put on this facade anymore. he stopped caring a while back, but he believed it to be a decent thing to have you believe he was still the guy that would comfort you when you had a nightmare, the guy that would give you his last piece of meat to show you he cares, the guy that would cuddle you to sleep whenever it was too cold..

he thought it'd be easier for you. oh, how it turned out to be quite the opposite. because he faked your relationship this long, and it had come to an end like this; you didn't only lose your lover tonight, you lost your friend.

summary. zoro realised his feelings for you through unfortunate events, whereas you come to a conclusion that his actions speak louder than words

zoro stole a glance at you, the soft rocking of the ship causing some bottles with strangely-looking fluids to move around your desk. luffy grinned and patted you on your back, causing a small smile to bloom on your lips.

“so, we’re arriving in a moment. let’s get the meds we need and have some free time! How does that sound?” he asked with enthusiasm.

“and i’ll buy some fresh ingredients. i would lose my mind if i had to work with almost-rotten vegetables for even a day longer…” sanji grunted, causing zoro to roll his eyes “is our medic craving something special?”

“hmm, maybe… what about a sweet pudding? i haven’t eaten one in a while” you hummed. luffy’s eyes shone with excitement. sanji winked, drawing a disgusted face from the green-haired man.

“your wish is my command. and you, mosshead, should respect this lady more. she’s really saving our asses” the blond haired man commented.

the truth was, it was mostly sanji or usopp who you were saving. while zoro made it safe and sound out of his fights, so did luffy and nami. usopp, well, he was more on the clumsy side, while sanji occasionally had some wounds when he accidentally cut or burned himself while cooking. after almost losing zoro, the crew knew that a medic would be a useful addition to the crew… and just one day luffy found you on your island, working as a volunteer in a local health care centre. and persuaded you into joining them. (a certain tall, green-haired man also had an influence on your choice).

“we arrived!” usopp suddenly bursted into the room. you grabbed your bag and looked around the room.

“does anyone want to go with me?” you asked.

“to buy meds and smell herbs? i’d rather take a nap” zoro mumbled and lazily left the room, secretly hoping sanji would turn down your offer too.

“i’ll go with sanji! maybe they’ll have some local food to offer…” luffy hummed. you nodded and then all three of you left going merry.

usopp left later, causing nami and zoro to be the only ones left.

as you strolled around the cozy city, you took in the sight of people and the sound of the rustle. living on a ship can get quite lonely sometimes, so you enjoyed the chaos of the town. even though zoro kept you company most of the time. he’d just… come into your room and watch you brew tea for sanji or study your medical books. you both enjoyed such closeness, even if not a word was said. sure, you had conversations too - and you were surprised to realise how funny zoro is. you couldn’t lie, you were aware that you have a crush on him. zoro though, seemed uninterested. like now, just saying that he’ll pass. his answer made you a little disappointed - besides buying new meds, you were hoping for some time alone with zoro.

“well, he’s the one missing out” you mumbled t6o yourself and shook your head as if to get the swordsman off your mind.

suddenly, you smelled a delicious aroma of fresh bread. walking closer to one of the shops, you realised it’s a bakery. maybe you’ll grab a snack and ask if there’s any herbalists around…? sounds like an idea.

when you disappeared inside the local, someone smiled mischievously and backed away to return to his boss.

“... herbs?” the man repeated, thinking out loud. he didn’t look like a regular bakery employee but you ignored that. he was selling delicious chocolate buns! “down the road. there’s a pharmacy but we do have a local herb seller, he wanders in the woods often. after i’m done with my shift, i can lead you to him”

“oh, that would be great! i’ll go to the pharmacy then and be back!” you hummed, smiling. what a nice guy!

you spent way more time in the pharmacy than you intended to: the lady working there was really lovely and professional, the products she was selling were top quality. you chatted about meds and certain ingredients, shared recipes. and when you mentioned that you use some herbs to make teas, she seemed intrigued so you explained to her the purpose.

in the end, you left with two more bags than you planned to. while returning to the bakery, the sun started to set; sky was painted in deep oranges with purple strokes, announcing the farewell of the bright day.

“sorry i was late…” you started and saw the guy get up immediately. he had a slight frown on his face.

“no worries. let’s go” he mumbled and grabbed your wrist, urging you to leave. you stiffened and your jaw clenched but you followed him, too curious about the herbs to let an alarm ring in your head.

“why does he wander in the woods?” you asked quietly, observing how people closed their stalls and shops in hurry before it gets completely dark.

“dunno. he’s just a weirdo. probably there’s a lot of wild plants there” he huffed. nodding to yourself, you gulped. good thing he’s accompanying you, it wouldn’t be too safe to walk around the woods alone, at night.

after what felt like hours, you realised you left the city far behind. the sky was decorated with blinking stars, open navy sky embracing you.

“i… is it far away?” you mumbled, stopping in your tracks. he turned around, the darkness surrounding you didn’t allow to read his facial expression.

“five more minutes, i promise” he said… his voice more calm now.

“o-okay. i need to go soon, so we better be quick” a quiet murmur left your mouth. you started to regret not urging zoro to go with you.

the man was right; you soon enough found yourself in the middle of woods.

“so… um, where’s the guy?” you asked, looking around. your hands started to hurt from the bags you had to carry. besides, there was a rumbling in your stomach.

“he’ll show up in a second, trust me. so, what did you buy in the pharmacy?” he asked.

luffy entered the ship, humming something underneath his breath, with sanji carrying a bag. usopp looked at them curious.

“so, what didya buy?” he asked, almost jumping out of his seat “what are we having for dinner?”

“something fancy, for sure. i still need to think about it. we’re having a pudding for dessert though because y/n wanted it… speaking of which, is she in her room? i forgot to ask if she wanted a vanilla or a chocolate one”

“what?” zoro asked, stopping in his tracks, swords halting mid-air. the guys looked at each other.

“what ‘what?’? we thought she was back already” luffy blinked slowly and noticed nami approach.

“she didn’t, i thought she joined you” usopp stuttered and shifted his gaze to zoro “didn’t you leave at some point too?”

“yeah, to look around? but there was nothing interesting to do so i came back and took a nap…?” he mumbled.

“you did not just let y/n wander around here” nami said, fear in her voice.

“well, apparently, we did” luffy gasped “why?”

“this city is like, known for being totally not-women safe. especially after dark! that’s why i didn’t want to go there, luffy” she hissed “and why i didn’t leave the ship! god! y/n can’t even f–”

“she’ll be okay, she can fight–” usopp started.

“fight” nami finished.

“y/n can’t fight…?” zoro’s heart skipped a beat.

“there’s no time to explain. we should go look for her, idiots!” nami grunted. zoro, full of regret and worry, followed her. he wasn’t sure why he got so scared why nami said that but all he knew for now is that he had to find you.

you didn’t even realise when that happened. a group of muscular and tattooed men appeared from nowhere, not looking like herb enthusiasts at all.

“so this is the pretty lady, huh?” one of them stepped out. he was bald and definitely scary-looking “you have something we want… but before i take it, tell me. is this your first time here?”

you nodded weakly when he approached you.

“and it will be her last!” one of them snickered, drawing laughs from the rest.

“aren’t you a cute little thing, trusting strangers in a city you’ve never been to… ah” he laughed and grabbed your chin, forcing you to look into his eyes “why did you buy poppy seeds?”

“t-to make medicine…” you stuttered. you noticed the one from bakery standing behind the bald one’s back.

“medicine! ha! you’re pretty funny! you know what we make here out of poppy seeds?” he hummed, leaning in way too close to your liking. you could smell his nasty breath, your hands going limp. you dropped the bags, its content spilling around your legs “drugs”

you gulped and tried to move back but he yanked you by your wrist. this action caused you to bump into his chest.

“so, we’ll take them. and the other goodies you bought, too. and then… we’ll take you!” he laughed.

shaking your head, you pushed him away and tried to run away.

you failed, a sharp yank of your shirt causing you to trip and fall on the ground.

“by take i mean two things” the bald man chuckled and kneeled down, looking for the poppy seeds amongst the scattered products.

you tried to crawl away when he did so, heart thumping against your ribcage. if only you could fight… you wouldn’t be so scared and-

“where do you think are you going?” he growled and pulled you back by your leg. your head hit the ground, a unpleasant tinnitus-alike sound overtaking your ears.

“leave me alone!” you yelled out. the man must have said or do something that caused two other guys to grab your hands and tie them.

“only after i’m done with you!” he grunted and suddenly you felt his weight over you, caging you between the ground. starting to squirm around and kick, you were yelling your throat out; tears starting to spill from your eyes. “shut up, bitch!”

then you felt it. a sudden, stinging pain spreading in the left side of your face.

he just hit you.

the impact was so strong that you immediately felt the blood trickle from your nose.

“i’d hate to kill you because after we’re done, we’d sell you… but if you keep squirming…” he grunted and leaned in. he put a hand on your hair and stroked it gently. he leaned to your ear and licked your earlobe before adding: “then i’ll have to slit your throat”

you hoped that the scream you just left out was hearable from afar.

“get off her right now or its your throat that’s going to be slit first”

you gasped, trying to look for the source of the voice: zoro. zoro is here. or are you dreaming?

“and who the fuck are you?” the bald man said and laughed, his hand landing on your neck “i’ll do whatever i want”

his fingers tightened the grip on your neck. he was either lucky or skilled enough to know which places to squeeze because you felt your flow of oxygen being cut off.

“says who?” zoro huffed and with one swift move yankled the man by his shirt and got him off you. taking a deep breathe in, your vision went blurry - it was either the tears or the result of sitting up too fast.

“you’re a real piece of shit to attack girls, huh” zoro grunted and after effortlessly defeating another one of the bald man’s minions. the swordsman wanted to destroy the others, let them suffer and die in pain. normally, he’d take his time.

but it was about you. which made it even worse – he wanted to kill them slowly, one by one… demolish to the ground because they hurt you. then again, he wanted to make it quick so he can check if you’re alright as fast as possible.

and just when only the boss was left, he heard your scream. one that was full of pure pain.

turning his head back, but not losing focus from the guy, he saw one of them stand above you. he must have slipped away when he was busy with the bald guy but…

then he saw it, shining in the moonlight.

the dagger’s blade shun with silver tints, stuck in your ribcage.

zoro didn’t hold back. it took one swift move to throw one of his swords right between the attacker’s eyes and one precise move to synchronise both of his hands, cutting the bald’s man body in half.

then he ran up to you, grabbing you in his arms gently. your face looked pale, whether it was the moonlight or just the color draining off your face.

“don’t take this out” you grunted, moving your hand to his arm “and… take the meds…”

“fuck the meds, you’re bleeding” for the first time in ages zoro felt helpless. and disappointment in himself. you tried to scoff, the action bringing more pain to your body than you predicted

“don’t… the meds are just as important” your voice went quieter and quieter; zoro noticed that you struggled to keep your eyes open. which was, he assumed, a bad sign.

“don’t pass out on me, okay? keep it together, doctor” the green haired man breathed out and in one swift move he carried you in a bridal style. someone from the crew was supposed to arrive here too, if he passes them by he’ll just say that they need to take the meds.

zoro felt your body going limp in his arms, his heart dropping. running for his (and your) life, careful enough not to hurt you, he felt the strange heavy sensation in his chest.

for the next two days, a sinking feeling of guilt in zoro’s stomach wouldn’t go away. you were unconscious, the atmosphere on the going merry was tense.

“we didn’t know she can’t fight. if we did, we’d obviously accompany her” sanji grunted, hands never stoping mixing whatever he was mixing.

“why y/n never told us?” luffy sighed, voice small. as a captain, he felt disappointed he wasn’t able to protect you. on the other hand, he was glad you’re here now. nami bit her lip and looked at zoro.

“she didn’t want to seem weak” the orange-haired girl explained “i promised her i’ll teach her some basic moves but… we never…”

usopp entered the room, he was just talking to your unconscious state. well, more like to himself but–

“the doctor said she’ll be okay, right?” he asked, sitting next to zoro.

they figured that if you got medication somehow, there must be someone who knows at least has basic medical knowledge. in no time usopp came back with a pharmacist that talked to you – the lady was really saddened by your wounds too.

she scolded them for letting you go on your own (as if zoro haven’t already made a mental promise to himself to never do that again) and then proceeded to take care of you, telling them to change the bandages and apply some meds.

zoro left the dining space and slowly padded to the captain’s room. they figured that i’d only be safer if you stayed in a more stable position (rather than a hammock) for the time being.

entering the room, he stopped in his tracks upon seeing you… sitting at the edge of the mattress, changing your own bandage. sweat was dripping down your forehead, face pale.

“what the hell do you think you’re doing?” he asked calmly, stepping closer to you. your eyes widened, meeting his.

“hi” you breathed out, shaky fingers halting.

“hi” zoro replied softly and then suddenly placed his hands on your arms, gently pushing you to sit against the wall.

then he grabbed the old bandage and threw it away. he desinfected his hands with a special liquid and grabbed new bandage.

“how long have you been up?” he asked, looking at the wound. it still needed some healing but it wasn’t open and bleeding anymore.

“dunno, moments from usopp’s leave. how… how long i’ve been asleep though?” you asked wearily and pointed at a cream on the nightstand “apply this first, then the bandage”

“two days” zoro replied, grabbing the container with a herbal smell. he was trying to find a good way to word out his worries, but (as usual) they came out harsher than he intended “why didn’t you tell us you can’t fight?”

a heavy sigh left your mouth, which caused a glimpse of pain run through your face.

“i just didn’t want to be a burden” you mumbled. the man noted the slight difference of what you said and what nami said your reasoning was.

zoro’s calloused yet tender fingers applied the cooling substance on your wound. you hissed due to the sting, your hand flying to grab his free one.

“you’re not weak nor a burden” he said, letting you squeeze his hand; he didn’t mind and found it quite… warming “i will teach you”

you smiled. he didn’t offer, he didn’t insist. he stated that.

“thank you. and i’m sorry for scaring you all like that” a whisper left your lips, watching as zoro started to put the bandage now. you leaned a bit closer so he could wrap it around your back, causing your breath to hit his neck. zoro tried to stay focused, the sudden realisation of how close you were making him hyper-aware.

“you scared some of us to death” he answered suddenly “next time just… don’t be such an idiot. if it weren’t for me…”

“humble as always” you snickered and watched him finish bandaging you.

“i…” the green-haired man hesitated. for a moment your eyes met and you saw it in the mirror of his ebony irises: i’m sorry. i was worried. so fucking scared and angry, feeling guilty and terrified. he smiled gently “just don’t do this again, m’kay?”

“i’ll try. and… thank you for saving me” you returned his smile.

you stayed like that for a moment, your hand still on his. too afraid to move, to speak out – yet the silence was speaking volumes.

roronoa zoro cared for you.

he just didn’t know how to say it out loud yet.

but just like wounds, he needed some time. and you were - oh so - willing to give him it.

Just a little something that came to mind while I was searching for inspiration~

Drip drip drip, the rain pattered the windows of the Sunny interrupted only by drop-

“Luffy you break my plate again I break your face!” Snarled Sanji unbeknownst to either gentleman, a lone figure was braving the storm outside. The ship bobbed in the harbor as waves rolled under its hull, the figurehead at the bow almost imperceivable in the torrential downpour. Yet standing at the rail not far from the carved lion you stood, Nami’s voice calling somewhere below decks falling deafly on your ears drowned out by the punishing droplets and wind.

It would not be Franky to notice first but Chopper's soft question to Robin at the dinner table that would draw the attention of the rest of the crew. His high voice asking sweetly where you had gone, shouldn’t they wait for you to start dinner? Sanji’s neck nearly broke as his head snapped up. Dropping Luffy and Ussop on the floor he looked around in earnest, heart jumping into his throat.

“Where are they?” A frown crossed his face, worry sending his fingers to his pocket drawing out yet another cigarette. “When was the last time someone saw them? DAMMIT-”

Before Robin could answer that you’d simply wanted to watch the lightning dance out over the ocean Sanji had kicked the door open.

“HEY BE CAREFUL OUT THERE IT'S STORMING!” Yelled Franky getting up to grab the door as the wind and rain held it open to the dark night. “HEY CRAZY COOK-” “Let him be,” Chuckled Zoro “Love chef is looking for his lover there's no stopping him.” Indeed within moments Sanji had found you, yelling something unintelligible he yanked you into his arms trying to cover you in his jacket to stop anymore rain soaking you to the bone. “HEY YOU-” He couldn’t call you an idiot but the fright he had gone through in those few minutes praying you had not gone overboard was enough to make him tremble. “Come inside you’re going to get sick like this what were you thinking mon amour?” His gentle chastising was spattered with reassurance that he had you. And indeed no protests or explanations were heard by him as he carried you back inside and straight to the bathroom. You had scared him half to death and he was sure to tell you that. As well as tell you how you were still so beautiful dripping wet like this. Eventually he would calm down, and be able to hear you as he got clean clothes and warmed them for you as you bathed.

“Watch the storm? From outside? What if you got struck by lightning or washed overboard?” But despite his worry he would eventually bundle you up in a blanket and carry you off for a piping hot bowl of soup. “Fine if it means that much to you we can watch it together next time, I’ll buy you the nicest rain jacket money can get in the next town. Anything for you my love just please don’t frighten me like that again?”

There would be many needed kisses and reassurance that you were in fact okay and safe the entire time. Warm hands running all over your body, he would spend the night wide awake fretting over you even as you slept in his arms. And when you woke up with a cold he would do everything in his power to nurse you back to health, swearing he’d never let you out into such weather again…Although the smitten cook would find himself in a month or so breaking such promise as he held you tight on the deck of the Sunny watching the sky open up over the ocean in a cataclysmic fashion. But he had you so soggy and cold, he was still happy to stand there for however long it made you happy.
