Note
I just remembered this prompt from wattpad or Tumblr and that it's good for angst.
Request for a Brother!reader x Percy Jackson, where the reader is slowly getting tired of always just being compared to Percy (about how he did so much while the reader just did small things for camp) which leads to reader holding some animosity towards Percy, so he just run away due to Percy not saying or even noticing what's happening to his brother leaving Percy to be sad and wishing he could've been there to stop some of the comparison
(sorry if this was too long, also, you can decide what happens to the reader after running away)
thank you for requesting!
----------------------------------
I stared at my reflection. I don't look much like Percy. Less muscled, for sure, but when one of us has ten times the life experience of the other, that's bound to happen.
I don't even know if I look like my dad; my mom always said I had his nose, a strong, Grecian nose. Both Percy and I have his eyes, though mine have always been... more muted, like the ocean in December.
"Hey, c'mon, we gotta practice."
Percy's voice filtered through the door of the bathroom and I sighed, zipping up my hoodie and throwing the hood over my head. "Yeah, yeah, like you need the practice."
He threw his arm around my shoulders and grinned at me. "Okay, then you gotta practice so I don't have to cover your ass every time there's a battle."
I ducked my head and elbowed him. He backed off, laughing, and I kept my eyes to the ground to hide my scowl. He didn't mean it, I know he didn't, but it still pierced through my ribs, icy and sharp.
There were about a dozen people in the amphitheatre, choosing weapons, slashing at dummies and each other. Percy uncapped Riptide, bronze blade gleaming in the midday sun, and gestured for me to unsheath my own weapon. I pulled out my shortsword from it's sheath at my side, the enchanted iron a familiar weight in my hand.
Already there were whispers surrounding us; watching Percy fight was a spectacle for a lot of campers. I doubted it even mattered that he was just here to help his incompetent brother, they were waiting to see him kick someone's ass. In this case, it would be mine.
I took a deep breath, shaking off some of the negativity. This was Percy, who I trusted to be able to resist the siren call of a performance in favour of actually being a good teacher. It shouldn't matter that there were more people here than there were a minute ago, he was here for me.
That gave me a little encouragement, and I faced him, sword at the ready. He grinned at me, and I managed a smile back. "Come on then, Jackson, what're you waiting for?"
He lunged forward and I swiftly sidestepped, slashing towards his arm. My sword hit against his armour and he spun round, aiming for my side. I could tell he was taking it easy on me, giving me a chance to learn to anticipate his moves.
I was almost having fun. For a moment, it was just me and my brother, the way it was when we first came to camp. I remember being terrified I would never see him again each time he was sent off on a quest, that I would lose my brother forever but he always came back, eventually.
For a split second, I gained the upper hand, pushing Percy back from the assault and attacking rather than defending. Swordplay had never been my strong suit, but I was good enough.
Until somehow he slipped under my arm, dodging the mad swing I made for him and twisting so he ended up with Riptide at my throat from behind. Both of us were panting, and I realised I really should have taken my hoodie off before I started fighting.
There was a cheer from around us, and Percy took his blade away from my neck, clapping me on the shoulder. "Maybe next time," he panted, backing away slightly. I made to turn and reply, but Percy was already swamped, younger campers and friends congratulating him. Annabeth sauntered over to him, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
"Don't know why they're so excited, it's not like it was a difficult fight." She said it quietly, in his ear, but I heard it anyway. Percy just laughed, and pecked her lips.
I was torn- I tried! I tried to fight him properly, I swear, it wasn't an easy fight, at least I don't think so. Even if it was, why should he get all the praise and attention? No one else other than Annabeth was willing to fight him, I was holding my own against him.
I shrunk in on myself, hiding as much as I could in my hood, and slipped away from the amphitheatre. My sword tapped against my leg in it's sheath as I slunk back to the Posiden cabin. I shut the door, not bothering to lock it behind me; it's not as if anyone would come looking for me now wonder boy was outside.
Rooting around under my pillow, I withdrew a photo. It was a couple years old now, creased in the middle. I traced the fold lines, time separating me from my mom. She died trying to protect me from a monster that came to kill me when I was 12. I still have some of her things, everything else was burned down with the house.
My mouth tasted bitter as I remembered that Percy, only a year older than me, had found me and taken me to camp in the middle of the school year. I'd idolised him, and for a while we were inseparable until he kept being chosen. He was special, he was the one sent on quests and given power and was more connected to our dad that I would ever be.
I took a shuddering breath, looking down at my mom and feeling that gnawing, craving ache of grief; for her, for never knowing my dad, for feeling like I was losing the only other family I had.
There was a noise outside, a few feet from the door. I snapped my head up, eyes watery. From what I could hear, it was a couple of kids, no older than 8 years old.
"That's Percy Jackson's cabin!"
"Whoa, cool! He has a whole cabin all to himself?"
"No, dummy, his brother lives there too, duh."
"He has a brother? I didn't know that."
"Did you know he defeated Ares when he was like, 12? That's so cool."
They walked away, fully invested in their hero worship of my brother. People didn't even know I was his brother? Maybe they were new, they didn't know anyone, it wasn't fair to be angry at them for something out of their control.
They knew him, though.
That voice was insidious, echoing in my skull. They might have been new, but they knew who Percy Jackson was.
I folded the photo back up, and went to put it back under my pillow. Slowly, I reached into the drawer of the bedside table, pulling out a notebook and slipping the photo into the middle of it.
Without even really meaning to, I found my backpack stuffed into a corner. I scanned the room for my stuff, acknowledging that it couldn't all fit in my bag. Didn't matter, I didn't need much.
Some of my clothes went into the bottom of the bag. The contents of my bedside table was packed, a couple toiletries, as much as I could fit. I changed my shoes, finding a sturdier pair than the ones I was wearing.
I needed food. It was about lunchtime, I could grab some stuff and give an offering to Posiden for safe passage or something. Not that he'd be much help. I found a plastic box from somewhere and hid it in my clothes. I was out and back in 20 minutes, ignoring the few attempts at conversation. The plastic box was filled with food, and I swiped a cannister with water from a table.
I waited until it was dark, the sun just dipping below the horizon and painting the sky in dusky pinks and purples. Everyone would be getting something to eat after a long day at camp. Perfect.
The door shut quietly behind me, backpack slung over my shoulder and my sword at my hip. I should be able to get out unnoticed if I cut through the forest, and I slipped into the shadows of the trees.
A cough came from by my side.
I jumped a foot in the air and swore loudly, clapping a hand across my mouth a little too late. Nico di Angelo was leaning against a tree, dark hair not quite hiding his judging look.
No, not judging. Curious.
Feeling a little under the microscope, I let him take in everything about me- there was no reasonable explanation as to why I'd be here.
After a painful minute of silence between us, he shrugged. Reaching into a pocket, Nico tossed me a piece of plastic; a phone.
"Someone should know where you are."
I nodded and Nico seemed to melt into the shadows of the trees. I was alone, actually alone. Maybe I should have been worried he would immediately run to Percy or Chiron, but I trusted him. He didn't try to stop me, it seemed like he just wanted to make sure I didn't die.
Which, in a weird way, is the most caring thing anyone's ever done for me.
I steeled myself, slipping the phone into my pocket. I couldn't see the barrier that kept camp safe from here, but I knew I'd know once I passed through it.
Deep breaths. Let's get out of here.

hii!! I was wondering if you could write percy jackson x reader with prompt 3 or 7? I know that you wrote an enemies to lovers recently but those are the vibes that these two prompts give me. maybe it can be something else! feel free to do whatever you're comfortable with!! love you, thank u!!
Hidden feelings…
An unexpected convocation from the gods leads to a messy confession behind the closed doors of a elevator…
Prompts 3 and 7: “Wait- are you jealous?” “You wanna kiss me so bad~”
pairing: Percy Jackson x reader
word count: 1.4k
Warnings: none
————————————————————————————
A/n: Hi darling! I deeply apologise for making you wait so long! 😓 In the start I had promised myself I would have written your story pretty early, but then I didn’t have a scenario in mind! So I’m really sorry if you waited like- two months, before getting your request done, hope you won’t unsubscribe because of this 🧡😭 anyway, enjoy your reading!
P.S. I tried making this a bit longer as an apology
————————————————————————————
You couldn’t believe it. You were walking to the Empire State building with Percy Jackson, the famous son of Poseidon, the hero of the Olympus and also your enemy. You didn’t really hate each other, you simply couldn’t stand him because he always took the spotlight on himself, leaving the others with no time to shine. Even if he claimed that he didn’t want all the attention for himself and that he even tried to hide from the spotlight you didn’t quiete believe him. But here you were, walking by his side after a flash convocation from the Olympus, what did they possibly want?
You had tried to figure that out since Chiron had called you over at the big house, but you didn’t give yourself a proper answer. You kept walking and you tried to ignore the glances that sometimes Percy sent your way. “Today the sky is really cloudy” he said in a attempt to try and make conversation “I bet the king himself didn’t wake up with the right foot” he joked, trying to ease at least a bit the palpable tension between the two of you. “I bet that he’s going to fulminate you one day if you keep talking about him like that” you said with a sharp glare threw in his direction.
After walking for about ten minutes more you both arrived at the entrance of the enormous building. “Here we are” you said, and before Percy could add anything else you were already inside the skyscraper.
You entered the building and went straight to the receptionist “600th floor” You simply said, giving the poor employer a death glare. He looked back emotionless “we don’t have a 600th floor” he was doing his job, you didn’t really blame me for it. “Look, you’re talking to a child of g/p and a son of Poseidon so you better let us in-“ before you could finish Percy stepped in, gently pushing you aside.
“Sorry for my friend here, but you see, they are having a bad day and a convocation from the gods really was the cherry on the top, but we need to get on Olympus as soon as possible, you wouldn’t want Poseidon or g/p mad at you because you didn’t let their children up, would you?” He pulled out a confident smile and you rolled your eyes.
The man looked between the two of you before stamping something on a paper sheet. “And what might your names be?” He asked, and you were starting to lose it “Listen here you little-“ but before you could add anything else Percy pulled you back again “Percy Jackson and Y/N L/N, now may we enter the elevator… please?” He looked at the employer expectantly.
He stamped something else before getting up and starting walking “this way” Percy let out a sigh of relief. You and the son of Poseidon followed him until you were arrived “Have a nice trip to Olympus” he said flatly, before walking back to his desk.
The two of you entered the elevator and when the door closed leaned over the mechanical box’s “wall” to catch your breath.
”I’m not your friend” You suddenly blurted out “I didn’t come here to keep you company or anything, I came here cause I was summoned by Zeus himself, so don’t make up strange ideas in that head of yours.” You warned and crossed your arms.
He looked at you slightly hurt “Has a manticore stung you or something? You’re more bitter than usual.” You shot him a death glare but said anything, his eyes had caught your interest, they were beautiful… For Hades, what were you thinking?!
You quickly looked away and waited as it played in the background an old song named “You make my dreams (come true)” by some old singer you couldn’t remember the name of. You wondered who had chosen the elevator playlist, it had probably been Apollo or one of the muses.
You glanced around and found Percy staring over at you, he had a strange look on his face, and you couldn’t quite place the emotions he was feeling. “What is it? Do I have something on my face?” You asked, not because you were actually worried about your appearance, more to break the strange atmosphere that was building up.
He quickly shook his head “no no, I was just looking at you… you’d be even prettier if you smiled more sometimes” he stated, and you looked at him, your mouth slightly agape. You tried to hide the forming blush of your cheeks, but you failed miserably. At that he let out a chuckle.
That only made you blush more, the tips of your ears red from embarrassment. “I…” you tried to come back at him with something, but you just couldn’t, he was too handsome in that moment. “Just shut it, would you sushi prince?” It was meant to be a sort of mocking insult, but it came out cuter than you expected.
You saw Percy take a step closer “Sushi prince?” He ask, trying to be serious, but barely managing to hold in a laugh. “Yeah, cause you’re a son of Poseidon, and fish call you prince, and you use fish to make sushi-“ I looked up at him “you know what? Drop it, it wasn’t that great of an insult” You simply concluded.
“No why? No one had ever called me that, it’s… creative, let’s say” he tried. You gave him a look that said ‘really?’ And them the two of you bursted out laughing. Maybe he wasn’t so bad after all…
You unintentionally took a step closer to the boy, there had always been something that had attracted you to him in the years, but you denied it behind the excuse that you didn’t like him, but oh boy if you did, liked him. But then something he said pulled you out of your thoughts. The elevator had stopped. Why? You asked yourself. Of course it would have been you.
He looked at you “there’s no need to worry, Annabeth explained me once how these things work, we just have to call in the emergency” he stated calmly as he pressed the yellow button. “Annabeth, huh?”you asked him. You couldn’t quite place what was the strange feeling that you felt in the pitch of your stomach when he named her, but you didn’t like it.
“Yeah, Annabeth” he replied and you just stared at him “you and her are pretty close, aren’t you?” You ask, annoyed. Percy just looked at you, slightly confused. “Well, yeah, but we’re only friends.” He stated, and you could hear in his voice that he was telling the truth. Then why didn’t you believe him? “Oh yeah, just friends, got it” you retorted back, and you cursed yourself for not having held your tongue.
He seemed surprised but then… a sly smirk formed on his lips. “Wait- are you jealous?” He smiled like a little kid on Christmas day. You looked away “No…” but your redness was hard to hide now. “You’re jealous! Oh gods, you’re all red” he laughed, and maybe, but just maybe, his voice wasn’t as annoying as you remembered.
“What if I am?” You then asked him, still leaning on the wall of the elevator. He smiled even more cheekily “No nothing, I just think it’s cute” he said, and leaned closer. You didn’t push him away, yet you didn’t lean in.
“Why do you hate me?” He asked “I don’t hate you” you paused “I just think you are incredibly self-centred sometimes” you admitted. “Oh, thank you” he replied sarcastically with a playful roll of his eyes “Just so you know, I don’t find you self-centred, annoying or anything like that, you’re just impulsive” he stated, and he was standing so close…
You glanced at his lips, because how could you not? You then forced your glance back on his. His usual smirk returned “You wanna kiss me so bad~” he teased and then leaned over the wall, pinning you to the elevator wall, but you weren’t intimidated. “So, what if I do, Jackson?” You asked in anticipation of what was about to come.
“Oh nothing” he answered and leaned closer, your lips just a few inches away “maybe I want too” and then his lips crashed onto yours, and nothing else mattered, it was only the two of you, and you wouldn’t trade that feeling for anything else.

"Not that I'm complaining, but why are we in a secluded waterfall area, going skinny-dipping?" Percy asked as he pushed his long hair from his face as he took off his shirt and pulled down his pants and underwear. He stood before his boyfriend, naked as the day he was born.
Y/N tried not to stare at Percy's trident as he took off his own clothes as well. "To ease your mind."
"Ease my mind about what?"
Instead of answering, Y/N got closer to Percy until he wrapped his arms around the son of Poseidon's neck. Their cocks touching together as Percy inhaled sharply. He looks into Percy's sea blueish-green eyes. The color of the water on a sunny day as he kissed him softly on his lips before he looked at him. "Listen, I know you've been jealous of Jason lately. You probably think I have a crush on him or falling out of love with you, but that's not true, Merman. I love you, Perseus Jackson."
Percy blushed and was at a loss for words before he could say anything, Y/N pushed him towards the water as Y/N gave a loud whoop and joined him as he and Percy shared a kiss underneath the water.

"Your Big Bro is Gonna Keep You Safe."
Pairing: platonic Percy Jackson x half-sibling reader
Summary: You have a nightmare, and your older brother protects you
Warning: Nightmares, mentions of death but only in nightmares, brief mentions of natural disasters, poisonous snakes and spiders, falling from high places, and drowning
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You've never had a good track of sleeping well. You've always had nightmares, some worse than others. You'd honestly just assumed you have insomnia. Going to sleep and staying asleep have both been a struggle for as long as you can remember. You'd often have sneak into your mom's bed at night to get any sleep at all.
Tonight, you've been tossing and turning. When you awoke abruptly, there was sweat on your forehead, and you could feel dry tears along your cheeks. Your blanket was laying only on half of your body, the rest of the blanket hanging off the bed.
You've come to hate these nights.. They'd become less frequent since coming to camp. You had assumed some monster or god placed a curse on you to have these nightmares because of that fact. But you still had them.
They were about all sorts of things. But mainly about you dying in all sorts of ways. Natural disasters, the Chimera, Medusa, the Fur- Kindly Ones (you still needed to get used to that), poisonous snakes and spiders, falling from great heights, and your worst one.. Drowning.
You looked around the cold and dark cabin built for Poseiden's kids. The few he had, anyway..
You gulped, trying to calm yourself down a little bit. You pulled your knees to your chest and hugged them while hiding your chin in between then. Every sound heard your gaze would whip towards. You were so scared and paranoid.
You looked to the next to yours. To your older brother, Percy. You swallowed again, jumping at the sound of rustling outside the cabin.
You let out a breath, "it's alright, y/n.." You muttered to yourself, "it's fine.. There's nothing there. Nothing can get into camp." You tried to calm yourself down. But your heart dropped, "unless someone summons a monster from inside..."
"Y/n..." You heard a groan, looking towards Percy, startled again. "Be quiet." He rubbed his face before yawning. He looked over at you, squinting as he tried to adjust to the light.
His lips parted when he realized how scared you looked. He blinked at you. And you stared at him.
"C'mere," he moved his blanket and made room for you.
You eyes widened slightly, you were taken aback, "huh?" Surely you heard him wrong.
"Come, here," he said, his words more enunciated this time.
You looked at over at the door to the cabin, hearing something outside. You practically shot out of your own bed and jumped into his.
You hugged him tightly, your arms landing around his middle while you shut your eyes tightly. You knew it was silly.. But you couldn't help feeling like something was about to burst through the door any minute now.
Percy laid the blanket over both of you and hugged you back tightly. He rubbed your back gently and soothingly.
"It's alright, sis," he said, kissing the top of your head, "your big bro is gonna keep you safe."
You calmed down a bit with his words and his soothing back rubs. You felt safe. You knew he would keep you safe. You knew you could let your guard down with him. You didn't need any more sleepless nights with your knees tightly hugged to your chest while your gaze darted to any noise or move seen. You could peacefully fall asleep.
And that's what you did. You were able to get one of the first good nights rests you ever had on a long time.
And it was because of your big brother who kept his word and kept you safe.

reader comes to terms with feelings for her best friend while trying to deal with the disappearance of her brother
tw none
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Y/N found herself befriending the younger of the Stoll brothers after a prank he had pulled on her only a little after she had arrived at camp. On a morning where her brother had left the cabin early, so she was alone in cabin 3, she found her cabin surrounded by cups of water as she tried to leave. At first she thought she thought this was the dumbest prank to pull on her, after all, she could control water. However, when she tried to empty the cups, the water wouldn't budge. No matter how hard she tried, the cups stayed still, unaffected. She began to panic, wondering if she had somehow lost her powers overnight. So, she grabbed the cup closest to her, just to find that it wasnt water at all, just clear jello.
“Hey, L/N!” she heard called. She looked up to find Connor Stoll standing in front of her, holding a cup identical to the ones that surrounded her, “how’re the water works going?”
She huffed, “Did you two do this?!”
“Actually,” he smiled, “I did this one myself.”
“Good to know,” she watched him take a sip of his cup, “by the way,” she began.
“What?” He asked before his drink was entirely splashed onto his face.
“You're cleaning this up, Stoll.”
Despite her initial annoyance, she had to admit the cleverness of it. She only wished she could find a way to return the favor.
Which she did, as she was somehow able to get Travis on board. During a game of capture the flag, she snuck back to camp and hid in the Hermes cabin, where after the game, while everyone was still celebrating the winning team, Travis would tell Connor they needed to talk in private.
She watched Connor follow behind his brother as they walked in, “dude, is it something serious or like-” Before he could finish, a puddle of water that had been floating above him, poured down like a rainstorm.
“So,” Y/N laughed, walking over to him, “how’re the water works going for you?”
He wiped his eyes, “good one, L/N,” he sarcastically sighed.
She nodded, beginning to walk out of the cabin, “by the way, thanks for the help, Travis!”
“You helped her?!” She could hear Connor exclaim on the other side of the door as she giggled to herself.
The joy of her revenge was short lived though. The day after, she found her older brother to be missing.
She sat on the sandy beach, asking her father for help, but hearing nothing in response. She tried to calm her anxieties by drawing circles in the sand.
“Y/N?” She heard a familiar voice call from behind her.
She took a deep breath before forcing a smile and turning her head, “hey, Stoll.”
“I heard about your brother,” he sat down next to her.
She nodded, “yeah, I’m sure he’s fine, but still…”
He bit his cheek, “you know, if you weren't all upset and everything, I would have totally gotten you back for yesterday.”
She chuckled, “You’d really start a prank war with me?”
“You bet,” he smirked.
“Try me.”
So then on, the only thing that could cheer her up through the months that her brother was missing was the same person who annoyed her most. Or so she said.
“Seems like Annabeth’s pretty stressed about that one shoe boy, huh?” Connor mentioned as they walked through the forest.
“Yeah,” Y/N answered. She didn't want to admit how hopeful she was about the prophecy. She was sure there were lots of demigods who could lose a shoe, gods know she has plenty of times.
“Pretty embarrassing for him though,” he joked, “you get back to camp after months and you're a mess.”
“Connor,” she spoke as she stopped walking.
He paused, “yeah?”
“I know it’s not gonna be my brother,” she added, “I just know. And I really just don't wanna think about it right now.”
He nodded, “oh, sorry,” he awkwardly responded, “but you gotta admit, it’d be embarrassi-”
She grabbed a stick off the ground and poked him in the side, “shut up.”
He raised an eyebrow and grabbed his own stick, “make me.”
“You!” She yelled, trying to stab him with the stick again, but he instead began running.
He ran backwards, looking back at her, “you have to admit, I’m pretty fast.”
“You're such an idiot!”
“What do you mean-” he asked right before slamming his back into a tree.
Y/N cackled as she reached him, “that’s what I mean,” she smirked, poking him with the stick.
“Kick me while I’m down, that’s real nice.”
She smiled and helped pull him up. She lingered her grip on his hand for a little too long before letting go, but she noticed his hand not even budge enclosed in her fingers. They both awkwardly stayed silent for a moment, feeling like there was something on the tip of their tongues that they both wanted to say.
“Y/N!” Annabeth’s voice rang through the forest. Annabeht stopped as she stared at the two of them, “Y/N, he’s here, come on.”
Y/N nodded, “right,” she began walking towards Annabeth, “see you later, Connor,” she waved.
He stood still for a moment, “bye.”
She walked alongside Annabeth, trying to shake the feeling in her chest.
“Let me get this straight,” Connor questioned. He was in the middle of training with Y/N when she told him about the plan, “you’re going to the Roman camp with Annabeth, Jason, Piper, and Leo?”
She nodded, resting her sword down, “yeah.”
He shook his head, “you can't just go like that, L/N.”
“What?” She breathily laughed, not believing what he had just said, “it’s my brother, I have to go with them.”
He ran his fingers through his hair, “but that’s- what am I supposed to do with that?”
“You have friends other than me,” she replied, “this isn't about you, Connor.”
He sat down on a nearby bench, “I know but…”
She sat next to him, “but?”
“Y/N,” he egan, “I’ve been really wanting to tell you something and I can’t yet.”
She nudged his shoulder, “you're my best friend, Connor. Come on, hit me.”
He sighed, “you're really going?”
“Yes,” she muttered, “now, will you just tell me?”
He stood up, “can we talk somewhere else?”
“Alright,” she obliged. He suddenly grabbed her hand and led her away. She might’ve said something if she didn't enjoy the feeling of his hand in hers so damn much. When he walked into her empty cabin she knew whatever he had to say was important.
He hesitantly let go of her hand, “Y/N, I- uhm- I really, really like you,” he whispered, “I get that you have a lot going on right now, but-”
She smirked, grabbing his face and kissing his lips. She couldn't tell how long this went on. All she knew was that he immediately relaxed into the kiss, his hands finding her waist to pull her closer to him. She knew that she could feel his lips curled into a smile that mirrored her own.
When they pulled away, their faces were still only centimeters apart and a trail of saliva reached between their lips, “I kinda like you too, Stoll.”
He just smiled even more, quickly pulling her into another kiss.

Posideon with mute son reader
When Amphitrite told her husband that she was pregnant with their first child, he was happier than he ever could have been; little did he know that there was going to be a complication with his future heir.
When the baby was born - he didn't cry, he did not whimper, he did not sob; not a single sound left his throat and Posideon knew that something was wrong. He presented the infant to the other gods upon Mount Olympus and Hera informed him that the child was born without vocal cords - thus, he was unable to speak. Upon his return to the seas, Posideon looked at the sleeping face of his son and thought about how he would never hear his son's voice but at the same time, he was happy to have a son - a child to call his own and there were things that he could do to aid his son in another way. He was going to protect his son, even if he was different.
"I shall protect you. I shall name you... [Reader] - Prince of the Seas." Poseidon said to the infant, who smiled a toothless grin and Poseidon could have sworn the heard a chuckle in his head - a young joyful laugh.
Amphitrite was overjoyed that Poseidon accepted their son for how he was but they later found out that their sound was able to communicate through mental links and connections and they were able to understand his needs faster than other parents could understand their children's needs.
Poseidon loved playing with his child and Amphitrite loved watching them as [Reader] grew up and learned beside his father, growing up, and using his powers and learning how to become prince of the seas.
When [Reader] was of teenage age, Poseidon took him to Mount Olympus to meet the other Gods and the lad was respectful and introduced him through mental links, which impressed the other gods; this made Poseidon smile and beam with pride.

( my last work || my last work for riodanverse || go to main masterlist )
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You and Percy crossed paths during one of your training sessions. Luke was giving Percy a tour of the camp, and when Percy laid eyes on you, he halted abruptly, as if struck by lightning. For some inexplicable reason, he felt an urgent need to know who you were, as if the gods themselves demanded it.
Percy's eyes widened as he observed you from across the training grounds. "Who's that?" he asked, pointing a finger in your direction. Luke suppressed a chuckle, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Her? Oh, that's Y/N, daughter of Zeus." Percy squinted, trying to decipher your actions, as you accidentally summoned a small lightning bolt that fizzled out near your feet. His eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Does that happen often?" Luke grinned. "Only when she's particularly excited, which, by the way, is most of the time. You should see her during thunderstorms!" Percy blinked, watching as you waved sheepishly, causing another faint spark to crackle in the air.
You and Percy found common ground in venting about the gods upon his arrival.
"Hey, little thunder, how's it going?" Percy grinned. "Don't call me that," you replied, trying to keep a straight face. "I'm good too, thanks for asking, Lightning Rod," Percy joked, emphasizing his newfound nickname for you.
Attempts at using your powers together proved futile, as water and electricity didn't exactly make for a harmonious combination.
According to Percy, Cabin 3 was way too big for just him, and assuming you felt the same way about Cabin 1, he started a tradition. At 12:00, he'd show up at your cabin, asking to share it, turning into a routine of hosting pajama parties in each other's cabins.
After you discovered that your half-sister, Thalia, had been turned into a pine tree to save her, Percy couldn't resist teasing you about it.
"Do you think your dad would turn you into, what, a fountain? Or maybe a cherry blossom tree would suit you?" Percy grinned, enjoying the opportunity to rib you. "Jackson, shut up," you retorted, rolling your eyes at his antics. Later, when Grover and Annabeth intervened, trying to keep you two from frying each other, Percy couldn't resist a parting shot. He had soaked you with water from a nearby forest stream during the mission, leaving you drenched and fueling your desire to electrocute him. "Next time you want to electrocute Percy, make sure I'm not around," Annabeth teased as they separated you, noticing your soaked state. Grover, being the peacekeeper, started singing the song of friendship, encouraging both of you to hug it out and apologize. Percy, however, observed that you were shivering from the cold as you walked. Realizing this, he handed you his jacket, concerned. "You'll catch a cold if you stay wet like this," he said, offering you warmth amidst the chilly aftermath of your water-based altercation.
Since neither you nor Percy admit to having feelings for each other, you find yourselves in constant teasing and banter.
During a mission, you two start a squabble because you want to lead everything, and he just wants to do his thing or isn't paying attention to what you're saying. Grover and Annabeth exchange glances, seeking a way to mediate.
It takes a long time before you muster the courage to admit you have feelings for the son of Poseidon. You decide to confess first because, knowing Percy, it would take ages if you waited for him.
"Percy, I need to talk in case we don't get out of here." "Spark Plug, we're getting out of here; trust me." "I like you, Seaweed Brain." He stands there in shock, mouth hanging open, unable to believe that you like him back.
After Percy managed to confess that he also liked you, you enjoyed teasing him about his stunned reaction. But deep down, you were terrified that he might have said he didn't like you back.
Percy becomes incredibly protective of you.
"Touch her, and you'll be dead."
You love stormy days and spend hours on the beach with Percy because he can control the water, ensuring you both stay dry.
"Isn't it beautiful?" "What, little storm?" You pause, gazing out at the tumultuous sea, the waves crashing against the shore. "It's like the ocean is in harmony with this storm. It's as if they understand each other, finding peace in the chaos." "Maybe," Percy finally responds, a soft smile playing on his lips. "Maybe storms and the sea have a way of finding peace in chaos because they understand that even in the wildest moments, there's a certain kind of order."
You appreciate the profound simplicity of his words, and in that moment, he wraps his arms around you from behind, resting his head on your shoulder. For the first time in a long while, you feel at home

𐑺 ˖ ࣪ ࿐ྂ I WANNA BE YOURS | percy jackson x gn!reader
Tumblr media
percy jackson looks at you like you were the one who put the stars in the sky.
the son of poseidon gazes at you with so much awe and admiration in his eyes that most people would think you had just defeated a minotaur with your bare hands, or cured cancer or saved the world from total destruction, something that would be remembered for centuries to come. but in reality, all you did was toss a few nuts to the squirrels that scurried around camp. percy jackson looks at you in such a way that even aphrodite herself would point and squeal.
though, he'd never admit to that. the only telltale sign of his infatuation is the rosy tint that creeps up the tips of his ears every time you you pass by, and his lips that struggle to stay in a straight line whenever you flash him that smile—the one that makes his heart leap up and into his throat. even after four years of friendship, percy still hasn't figured out how to sit next to you and not be totally in love with everything you do.
it's as though you have some sort of magic power over him—a power that he's powerless to resist. and as much as he'd like to deny it, he secretly revels in the feeling.
but percy jackson would never confess his desires for you—not when kronos is still actively seeking to wipe out the demigod population. he can't afford to display any signs of weakness.
but it's worth it, he thinks, to risk everything just to wrap his arms around you and plant a kiss on your lips that would set the world on fire. yet he knows he can't—not without endangering you. not without putting you in harm's way. so why is it so unbearable to imagine life without you, when you were never really his to begin with?
and in those moments, when his mind is consumed with thoughts of you, memories of your touch and your gaze playing on repeat in his mind, he's left thinking, 'did i imagine it?' did he dream up the way your touch lingered on his arm as you adjusted his armor? the way you looked at him across the dining pavilion before turning away, as if you'd been caught in the act of something secret and sweet? he must have, right? because you would never look at someone like him with such tenderness. not at someone hot-headed and impulsive, someone with so many rough edges. no, you couldn't have looked at him like that. it must all be in his head.
you couldn't have looked at him the same way he looks at you.
despite his best efforts to conceal it, percy's convinced that everyone can see right through him. he knows that everyone can see right through him. the teasing from his fellow campers has been relentless—nicknames hurled his way, each one more unflattering than the last. romeo, hopeless romantic, loverboy..
loverboy.
he's no loverboy. not some kind of lovesick puppy at the mercy of some unattainable crush. no, that nickname is only reserved for the truly whipped, those who are wrapped around someone's finger, glued to their side at all times. he's no..
and then his head snaps up at the sound of your voice, suddenly alert. and there you are, all dazzling and gorgeous, a beacon in a sea of identical orange t-shirts and jeans. you stand out as though a spotlight has been trained on you alone. which is weird because to most people you're just another camper. albeit, an incredibly beautiful camper, but still, just a camper. so why is he so infatuated with you, specifically?
maybe he is a loverboy.
the realization hits him like a ton of bricks, and he almost groans out loud. can't he just carve his heart out and be done with it at this point? isn't that what the poets do?
but since he never really cared for those dead old men taught in school, like edward allan poe or whatever his name was, he'll settle for just daydreaming now. he'll settle for stolen glances across the room and the brush of your hands as you reach for a book. he'll settle for relishing in your little touches and how your lips shine in blueberry chapstick until he's ready. he'll admire the curve of your nose and the triumphant hugs you give him after your team wins capture the flag. he'll settle for it until it's not enough anymore. he'll settle for it until he needs more.

Percy Jackson imagine the reader is a son of Poseidon but you can draw really well and this just one of your talents that Percy doesn't possess.
i can absolutely do that, thank you for being so patient!
-----------------------------
I grinned as Percy waved up to me from the arena. He'd been training for hours, occasionally pausing his actions for me to quickly sketch his pose before he continued.
I was fine with swords, I could handle a bow, just about, but it didn't keep my attention the way the pencil did. Percy sometimes joked that I should have gotten Riptide, being the Poseidon brother that would be able to wield both sides of it effectively. I would just roll my eyes, perfectly content with my flask of sea water that I kept by my side to use as a weapon instead.
What I always appreciated was Percy's unbridled enthusiasm for my art. He would bring me to the arena almost every time he trained and encouraged me to practice my form, my shading if it were a particularly sunny day, challenging me to speed draw the people fighting who never stood still for more than a few seconds. He would clamber over the seats to come sit next to me after a couple hours and I'd take him through my drawings of the day while he steadied his breathing.
He got me to do a drawing of him and Annabeth for her birthday- I was promised that he'd get someone from the Hermes cabin to get me some new art stuff from the mortal world. It was a fair trade, I spent days on perfecting the sketch of the pair on the beach and was rewarded both with art supplies and Annabeth absolutely gushing over the picture. Percy grinned when she hugged me and pretended to be jealous over the compliments I was getting.
At the current time, I was perched on my usual seat for watching the arena, using some of my new equipment- the smudge stick needed breaking in or it would just end up scratching the paper. While my brother was a perfectly fine subject, he wasn't currently in a particularly dynamic fight- just going through the motions. I scanned the arena for more interesting people.
My gaze landed on a pair fighting near the edge. From what I could tell, they were a Hermes kid and... a gorgeous, stunning guy who my instincts told me was a child of Aphrodite. The clashing of their weapons made it feel like a fight to the death, faces contorted in concentration. I sketched a few lines, happy when I caught a particularly lovely pose from the two.
It took a few tries but eventually I was happy with the simple drawing I could use later. I glanced back up and was thrilled at the sight of the Aphrodite kid with his sword resting on the Hermes kid's throat, having knocked him to the ground. It was an image I had to sketch, I needed to draw it the same way I needed air. They stayed there for at least ten seconds, plenty of time for me to get an accurate base sketch. I looked at them once more time and nearly jumped out of my skin to meet eyes with the Aphrodite kid. His head was tilted slightly, warm brown eyes settling into my bones and I felt myself flush.
Quickly, I looked back down to my sketchpad. A good few minutes passed before I dared look up again.
He wasn't there.
"Hey, that looks like me."
I jumped out my skin at the voice that came from beside me. I met brown eyes again as I turned to my left. He was close, small smile and brown hair flopping in his eyes.
I swallowed. "Um, yeah, that's... because it is? I'm sorry, is that weird?"
He shook his head, smile not moving. "Nah, it's flattering- I thought you usually drew your brother, Percy?"
Ignoring the thrill that shot through me at the knowledge that this attractive guy knew me, I nodded. "Yeah, but he was in a boring fight." I grinned at the laugh I got. "I wanted to draw something more exciting, and your fight was way better than his."
The guy's smile grew wider. "Well, thank you very much, it's always nice to be complimented by a cute guy." He winked. "I'm Mikey, do you sell your drawings or are they just for you?"
"Uh, generally just for me but..."
Mikey cocked his head to the side. "When you're done with this one-" He pointed to the sketch of him pinned his opponent to the floor. "-I'd really love it. I can pay you in... I don't know, what do you want?" His eyes were honest and open and I opened my mouth before I realised it.
"I'll finish it, and then you can pay me in a date?"
I was incredibly relieved to see the soft flush of pink on Mikey's cheeks. "I-I think I can do that." He stood up from where he'd sat next to me. "Come find me when it's done, yeah?"
I nodded, he winked, and made his way to leave the arena.
"Well, young man, what was that?"
For the second time, I jumped out my skin. "Percy! Christ, don't do that!"
He flopped down next to me. "Nu-uh, tell me what you were doing with Mikey, you're all red and blushy, what happened?"
I shoved the sketchbook at him. "He liked my drawing, he wants it and he's going to pay me in... a date." I punched Percy's arm as his entire face lit up. "Shut up, shut up, shut up, I don't need your reaction."
He surrendered, and looked at the sketch. "Listen, all I'm saying is this- " He pointed to my drawing. "-is now your priority, okay?"
I hated it, but I absolutely agreed.

hope you enjoyed, thank you for requesting!

Underwater
Percy Jackson x daughter of Dionysus
!Aged up characters!
Warnings: drinking, kissing, use of Y/n, fem reader, being underwater, fluff,
(I have only read the first book + bit of the second)
Summary: Beach day with Percy.
Masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The wine in her hands cooled down by the time the sun went down. She couldn’t drink too much of it before, because from the sun it was stood in for too long the liquid was warm and not nice to taste in her opinion.
The waves crashed at the shore of the beach. Camp Half-Blood felt like it was almost as empty as it can get. Sure, there were still a few souls left behind, but most of the kids were on summer break. Annabeth left the two of them a day or two prior to this with a look that screamed, ‘Don’t do anything that I wouldn’t do.’ Which was a lot, in Y/n’s opinion.
The difference between the two girls was big. One who liked to drink and feel pleasure, while the other liked to be out in the world, fighting, planning, winning.
The wine got caught up in her throat as she laughed how Percy played in the water like a little kid, making her cough.
Percy’s eyes snapped to her, when he heard the coughing sounds coming from the shore. He knew that nothing bad could really happen (beside her choking on the liquid) but he was still concerned.
Y/n put her hand up in assurance, telling him that everything was fine, even as she was still fighting for her life.
The waves hit her skin as she wandered further into his direction. She was knee deep in the water, and soon enough Percy Jackson, Son of Poseidon, stood in front of her, taking the glass from her hands and taking a bit of the wine himself. The stone that was in the water beside them was a flat surface, perfect to place a drink on top of it.
Percy put the glass down and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to his chest. Y/n sucked in a breath at the contact of his cold arms and her warm skin.
“You wanna go for a swim?” He asked her, smiling as the sun hit her face perfectly. Making her shine just as bright as she was seen by him. Her face glowing from the heat, her hair moving around her face in the wind.
The girl closed one eye, before putting her hand up against the side of her face, to shield them from the sun. The water on his face wandered over to her skin as their foreheads touched. Seeing the split between her hand and his face, she moved it over to shield his eyes from the sun rather than her own.
“I would like to.” she smiled at him, crunching up her nose and touching his. Percy’s head was higher then hers - his whole body was taller than hers - which resolved in her having to go up to her tiptoes to press a kiss against his lips. “But the water is cold,” she whispered against his lips.
This was the only downside of the heat and the need to cool down. The water was too cold for her liking.
Percy looked at her in a are-you-serious way, tilting his head to the side. The sun quickly dried the water drops, that his arms left on her waist, after he removed them. Taking her hands in his, he slowly guided the girl further into the water. When it brushed mid her chest, she stopped walking, forcing him to stop as well.
“What is it?” The boy asked, looking at her confused.
“I think that’s enough,” she answered.
For someone who usually could talk for hours on end and always had to prove herself, Y/n was extremly shy when it came to cold temperatures. She didn’t like the way her skin would feel like it was clinging to her body when touching it.
Percy moved his arms from her hands to her waist again. Y/n could see a smirk forming on his face and she was sure she knew what was about to come from his mouth.
“I’m very sorry for this,” he apologized beforehand for what he was about to do.
Tightening his grip on her waist he let gravity win and make his body fall backwards into the water behind him. Y/n shrieked when her body fell together with his, splashing water as their force hit the surface. Underwater, Percy pulled her body closer to his, letting his lips melt together with her, in order to make her stay there for a little while longer.
Y/n was the first one to resurface from the water. When she saw curls come up beside her, she began to splash Percy full with water. She wanted him to regret what he’d done. But there was nothing that could make him regret it.
It was a perfect summer day in the sea and he was with her. In some sense, that moment felt like it was all that would ever matter to him. He would never be ashamed of telling the story of how they were human. How they acted too immature for a few hours every day, so that their fun wouldn’t disappear. Life was too short to pretend that nobody was immature. Everyone was in some way.

"Listen, Leo. I'm not saying that I'd let Percy and Jason spit roast me, but I wouldn't be against letting them spit roast me if they asked." Y/N said as they sat at the docks and watched the son of Poseidon, and the son of Jupiter wrestling in the lake.
Leo looks at him, eyebrow raised and his elf ears held a pinkish tint. "Do you have something you want to tell me, amigo?"

Hi, I wanted to request something platonic with Percy, with him meeting his older half-sister after he finds out he's the son of Poseidon.
Sorry for my English, I'm using the translator to write, and sorry if you don't understand my request
Pictures On The Wall
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Percy jackson x older!sister (platonic)
-£ this was the first thing that came to mind and it’s such a cute idea! thank you.
-£ words: 700
-£ warnings: short, nervous percy, cool reader, sassy and kinda grunge reader, siblings bonding, fluff.
the wall across from his bed was covered with many things. pictures of people he didn’t know along with a bed half made and clothes piled up. “that’s y/n’s” a name he never heard but yet was family. his half sister was somewhere on a quest and didn’t know that he was snooping round her things.
he looked at the pictures all the time, liking the smile you had. he knew that smile, a distinct memory in his mind but you wore it with pride. you looked so cool and by all the stories he heard you were one of the most awesome person at camp.
every cabin knew you, it was like he needed to fill some sort of shoe now that you walked in but he didn’t know the first thing.
“percy,” grover peaked into the cabin and looked around for his best friend, when he found him he looked nervous. “I think you should come.” percy jumped up at the sound of his voice that sounded like something horrible had happened.
percy walked along his friend while his heart raced, “what happened?” had another monster attacked the camp, what could have happened that he had to come.
“she’s back.” Grover muttered while sighing, “And we thought you should meet her.” oh,- oh gods. you were back so soon? he didn’t have a clue on what he would say or do. would you like him, would you hate him and somehow kick him out of the cabin? he’s never had a sibling before.
“she’s getting patched up and I’ll warn you,” Grover patted his shoulder with a kind smile, “she’s unpredictable at times.” Yeah, that makes me feel much better Percy thought.
as soon as the walked into the infirmary all they could hear was yelling and arguing making the young boys look at each other. they walked to the door and saw the girl on the bed glare at the other around her age.
he knew you. the picture he looked at every day you seemed to be exactly like that, but you didn’t look happy like all of them. the shirt you wore had rips in it and a bloody bandage wrapped around your arm. the redhead girl in front of you held a spoon up to your mouth but you kept fighter her off.
“I’m fine! It’s just a few scratches, I’m not a child!” it was ironic that you looked like a bratty child that wanted to stomp their feet. your lips pouted slightly. percy didn’t know what to think at the scene.
“take it. you’re just keeping yourself from leaving, so do it so I can leave!” the other girl seemed to knock some sense into you as you huffed and took the spoon in your mouth. if looks could kill then she would be on the ground by now, you looked so angry.
humming the redhead walked out of the door and looked at the boys before rolling her eyes and kept going down the hallway. you didn’t seemed to notice them as you started to take off the dirty bandages.
Grover was the first to speak, “excuse me,” you looked at him quickly but your eyes were now soft and no longer sharp. “Grover, come in!” you invited him over but your eyes soon fell on the boy next to him. and immediately the connection between the two of you went off in your head.
“you must be percy?”
he shifted closer and awkwardly not knowing want to do, “yeah. how do you know?”
“I received letters telling me of the idiot brother I seemed to have,” you chuckle and throw the dirty cloths in your hands on the bed. The cut was gone but dry blood still stayed on your skin, “you have dads eyes.” You pointed to your own.
“really?” he asked quietly as you hopped on the floor and stretched. “Oh yeah, less disappointment in them but I’ll give it time.”
you yawned and picked up the black jacket and your backpack, “I’m starving,” you stood between the two of them and then swung your arms around the two of them.
“Now, tell me what you did to Clarisse!” You smirk at the brother you just met, “my favorite sibling already.”

i beg you (and you don’t understand)
Tumblr media
pairing luke castellan x fem! child of athena! reader
synopsis luke knew you loved him enough to fight a war for him, but you should have known that history would eventually write you two against each other
warnings MAJOR spoilers for the lightning thief
author’s notes turns out i can’t go too long without writing angst!! so after listening to history of man by maisie peters, i had an idea and completely ran with it. writing this literally had me kicking my feet!! happy first fic of the year!! woohoo!! apologies in advance though lol
Luke had once asked you, “Do you ever think about what our lives would look like if we weren’t here?”
“Like at camp? Maybe a little too much. It’s not like we can do anything about it, but if I get the chance to be with you in every lifetime, it can’t be too bad. Right?” You smiled.
“To Tartarus and back?” He placed a hand on your cheek.
You leaned into him, “To Tartarus and back, baby.”
“Luke. Luke is the traitor.”
Percy’s words swam in your ears. You should have known it when he barely came back alive from his quest and looked for someone to blame. Heck, just last week, Luke had admitted he imagined a future with you, away from the burdens of being demigods. For the first time in forever, he had felt at peace. The signs had been right in front of you…yet you still didn’t see them coming.
Some daughter of Athena you were.
The campers occupying the infirmary came to a stop at Percy’s declaration. As the boy went on to explain how he’d been poisoned by a scorpion and exposed Luke’s vendetta, they hung onto every word. The question as to how the golden boy at camp came to be so angry at the world lingered in the air.
And you hated it.
You stood from beside Percy’s bedside, “Chris…go get Peter, Maisie, and Delilah. If anyone else wants to help, they can. But we have to look for him.”
“On it.” Chris nodded.
“You guys, stay here.” You told Percy, Annabeth, and Grover.
Percy failed to follow your orders. Instead, he staggered outside the infirmary while his friend’s pleas for him to stay were ignored. The son of Poseidon fell into step with you and screamed, “Didn’t you hear what I just said?! Why would you wanna find Luke after what he’s done?”
You turned around, “Because he would have done it for me!” Percy’s body bumped into yours. You reached over at his sides to stabilize him. An ounce of doubt in your own words sparked a slight burn building in the back of your throat. You tried to bite it back, only for it to be replaced with a heavy weight falling onto your shoulders.
“Then if anyone gets to look for him, it should be me.” Percy demanded.
You patted his hair, “And if anyone can get to his head, it’s me, Percy.”
“Where do you want us?” Chris cut your conversation short. Delilah came from behind him, handing over your daggers.
“You guys head towards the North Woods. I’ll be near the border. We’ll circle back at the Big House.” You placed one in your holster, nodding in the direction they were supposed to take. Your friends wished you luck and ran straight through the trees while you pointed a dagger at Percy, “I mean it. Stay here, you’re safer that way.”
You left without another word.
Tumblr media
Amidst your search, you bumped into your siblings, who shared sympathetic looks, and other Hermes kids, who offered to accompany you. You insisted on treading this alone, a sense of obligation clouding over you to do so. Luke had been it for you since the beginning, and a twisted part of you didn’t want that to change. If you could just get a moment alone with him, maybe you could convince him the impending war wasn’t worth it. Maybe eventually, the Gods would get their punishments…
You didn’t realize how long you’d been wandering the forest. You dreaded coming back to camp without Luke, taking your time while the sky settled into a warm orange to guide you through your last round of the forest outside the border. You twisted a dagger around your wrist to keep you occupied, coming to a halt when a pile of leaves crunched from behind you. Slowly, you turned around to seemingly nothing, but the tracks in the dirt told you a different story.
You scolded your sister, “It’s not safe out here.”
“Then come back to camp with me.” Annabeth removed her cap.
You shook your head, “I- Look, I can’t.”
Annabeth tried to convince you, “Luke probably left as soon as Percy was poisoned. But the Gods will find a way to deal with him-”
“The Gods shouldn’t have to deal with him! If they didn’t just abandon us, we wouldn’t even be here right now!” Your sister’s face fell as you couldn’t help but raise your voice. When she failed to look at you, you shut your eyes and took a deep breath.
Gods, you just wanted Luke to come home to you. Was that too much to ask?
You waved her over, “Annabeth…come here.”
She listened and you wrapped your arms around her, “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that.”
“I just want to help. Luke was my family too.” Annabeth gave you a squeeze.
“I know, but you have to listen to me. Okay?” You pulled away to place your hands on her cheeks. For a second, you saw the shadow of your sister at seven years old, the age she was when she first came to camp. You looked her in the eyes to clearly instruct her, “Go back to the cabin. I just need a second.”
“I’m not leaving you here-” Annabeth frowned.
“I’ll be right behind you. I promise.” You reassured her.
Annabeth refused to take no for an answer, “Then I’ll wait for you by the border.”
You pat her head and gently pushed her towards camp, “Go.”
Tumblr media
You had barely reached the border when you felt someone staring at you.
“When you said you’d wait for me by the border, I thought you meant you’d be behind it.” You joked around, thinking it was Annabeth.
Instead, a voice replied in the distance, “You know how Annabeth can be with loopholes.” You tightened a grip on your dagger, circling around to pinpoint where the echo came from. When you felt a rustle in the wind, you turned around sharply. The tip of the blade hovered just centimeters away from Luke’s throat.
Your stare hardened, “What’s stopping me from turning you in right now?”
“Easy. You’d never do that to me.” Luke cracked a smile.
You couldn’t even argue with him.
You feared to ask, “So it’s true…what you did to Percy?”
His silence was enough of an answer.
Luke tapped the edge of the blade and moved closer to you. His mere presence rendered you defenseless as you let him take the dagger from you and drop it into the dirt. You faltered when he tried to hold you close, one hand holding his wrist while the other punched at his chest.
“Hey, it’s okay. We’re okay.” He took the blows with ease.
You looked up at him, “Luke.”
He couldn’t stop himself from kissing you. His hand cupped at your jaw while you placed your hands on his neck. Like it was muscle memory, he took two steps forward to gently pin you up against the nearest tree. You deepened the kiss, feeling his pulse quicken against your fingers, savoring the moment. Luke was the first to pull away, but he only leaned further into your touch.
“Come with me.” He begged.
“Luke…” You whispered.
He tried to explain himself, “You have to understand…I wanted to give us a chance in this new world that’s waiting for us. I did this for us. So come with me.”
You forced yourself to face reality. You may have stood in front of your past and present, but you had to think about the future. This wasn’t Camp Half Blood. You weren’t playfully sparring for bragging rights or working on strategies in the Hermes cabin to win capture the flag. You lived in a world where a war between the Gods was imminent because of the boy you loved. This is what you had been training for, but you couldn’t do anything to convince him it was wrong.
So you pushed him away.
You yelled, “Annabeth! Chiron! Anyone?!” He spared you a glance before narrowly escaping between the trees. When he was nothing but a shadow, you will yourself to run off as fast as your legs could carry you. You didn’t care that your body felt like it was burning in the pits of Tartarus. You didn’t want to stop until you found a familiar face.
You turned around in case he followed you, even though a feeling in your gut told you that was it. You yelled again, “Annabeth- umph!” You collided straight into the girl, falling just behind Thalia’s tree. You groaned, rolling off of her and wiping your face. Annabeth sat up to check on you, making sure you came back unharmed.
“Annabeth?! Y/N?!” Percy ran in with Riptide in his hand and Grover at his side. You couldn’t help but laugh at the look on their faces.
“Are you okay?” Grover sat himself next to you. His gentle touch on your back turned your laughter into tears. They slowly fell down your face, burying yourself into your hands as you sobbed. Your sister and the satyr were patient while you worked through your emotions, both of them sharing a look before glaring at Percy. Silent expressions were thrown between the trio until a pointed look from Annabeth made Percy sit down in defeat. He used Riptide to draw shapes into the dirt while they comforted you.
You finally lifted your head up, confessing, “Luke asked me…he asked me to join him.”
Grover only asked what everyone hesitated to, “What did you say?”
“I didn’t say anything. I couldn’t- I can’t believe he would even ask that in the first place. I didn’t know what to do, so I just…I ran. I shouldn’t have run.” Your voice faltered when Annabeth gently wiped under your eyes. Afraid to go deeper into the subject if it meant accepting Luke’s fate, you nodded over at Percy instead, silent “You didn’t have to come in full force, you know. Thank you.”
Percy only shrugged, “Hey, you’d do it for me.”
“I’m sorry, Percy.” You apologized for snapping at him before you left. You apologized for Luke poisoning him. You apologized for the universe that brought him, a child, into this path he didn’t choose to take.
“Yeah, me too.” Percy was sorry it turned out like this. He was sorry for Luke hurting you, the one he loved the most. He was sorry about the Gods, who could have prevented this if they just loved their children a little more.
You broke his thoughts to beckon him over, “Come over here.”
Hesitantly, Percy obliged. When his feet touched yours, you yanked him down and brought the kids under your arms. They couldn’t help but lean deeper into you, hoping the love you had for each other would get you through the idea of a war you’d have no choice but to inevitably partake in. You pressed a kiss to Annabeth’s head, unaware of Luke, who silently watched you take the kids back to their cabins and turned to leave you behind.
One day, you’d find it in yourself to heal from the betrayal that blindsided you all. But you were his weakness, and it would only be a matter of time before someone took advantage of that. It wouldn’t be long until you met again.
After all, history had its eyes on you two.
