艾伦-狄恩ALLEN-DEAN

和额外两个故事And two extra stories.

这里有很长一段故事，一开始我画艾伦，他是一个负面的角色。有一天我看见一篇文章，写的是“艾伦永远只能做阿尔弗雷德的影子”，我伤心了，我觉得不应该这样，所以我努力想把艾伦塑造成一个完整真实的人，有好的一面和坏的一面，他最后变成了狄恩。(埃文也一样）

There's a long story here. In the beginning I drew Allen and he was a negative character. One day I saw an article that said "Allen will always be Alfred's shadow", and I was sad, I didn't think it was right, so I tried to make Allen a complete and real person, with a good side and a bad side, and he ended up being Dean. (Iver too)

Green eyes

作为一个正常人，他会有一双绿色的眼睛，爱美或者戴隐形眼镜，我认为他的转变就是从这里开始的。虽然我觉得他的眼睛不一定是绿色的，也可能是其他颜色，就像现实生活中的人一样，我在画的时候也会随机改变。

As a normal person he would have green eyes, love of beauty or otherwise maybe wearing contacts, which is where I think his transformation begins. Though I don't think he'd necessarily have green eyes, it could be other colors like real life people, and I change it randomly when I draw it.

That's still Allen in this picture, drawn the previous year. Here's a story. Oliver's family lived across the street from Arthur's house, and harboring a grudge against Arthur for sending cupcakes as a gesture of goodwill that Arthur rejected, Oliver gave Allen some drugs so that Alan could soak Alfred.

有时候我会觉得艾伦和阿尔弗雷德在同一个身体，看起来眼神刻薄，那一刻我我认为这是真的美国。Sometimes I would think Alan and Alfred were in the same body, looking mean-eyed, and at that moment I I thought it was really America.

He’s Alfred, I think it's hard to see the difference, only I can tell, his eyes are sunnier.

第二个故事The second story.

在接到第五起变态杀人案件后阿尔弗雷德警官最后确认了目标，他驾驶着警车来到一个荒凉的社区。突然，他看见一个人慌乱逃跑，于是跳下车准备抓捕。这里到处都是草，又密又高……风吹起草发出沙沙的声音，他准备去车头那检查一下，嘭的一声他被重重地压倒在车头，疼痛瞬间爬满他的身体。阿尔弗雷德回头想要看清楚犯人的脸却被小刀比划到脸上。他呵出来的暖气咬着阿尔弗雷德的耳朵……突然，阿尔弗雷德明白了一切，这个变态杀人犯的下一个目标就是他自己。

After receiving the fifth case of a psychopathic murder Officer Alfred finally identifies the target and drives his police car to a deserted neighborhood. Suddenly, he saw a man fleeing in panic and jumped out of the car, ready to make an arrest. Here is everywhere grass, dense and tall ...... wind blowing drafts make a rustling sound, he is ready to go to the front of the car that check, bang he was heavily pressed down on the front of the car, pain instantly crawled over his body. Alfred turned back to get a better look at the prisoner's face only to have the pocketknife compared to his face. The warm air he heated out bit Alfred's ear ...... Suddenly, Alfred realized everything, the next target of this psychopathic murderer was himself.

I'm getting so sick of major female characters in historical media being incredibly feisty, outspoken and public defenders of women's rights with little to no realistic repercussions. Yes it feels like pandering, yes it's unrealistic and takes me out of the story, yes the dialogue almost always rings false - but beyond all that I think it does such a disservice to the women who lived during those periods. I'm not embarrassed of the women in history who didn't use every chance they had to Stick It To The Man. I'm not ashamed of women who were resigned to or enjoyed their lot in life. They weren't letting the side down by not having and representing modern gender ideals. It says a lot about how you view average ordinary women if the idea of one of your main characters behaving like one makes them seem lame and uninteresting to you.

Rowling isn't denying holocaust. She just pointed out that burning of transgender health books is a lie as that form of cosmetic surgery didn't exist. But of course you knew that already, didn't you?

I was thinking I'd probably see one of you! You're wrong :) Let's review the history a bit, shall we?

In this case, what we're talking about is the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft, or in English, The Institute of Sexology. This Institute was founded and headed by a gay Jewish sexologist named Magnus Hirschfeld. It was founded in July of 1919 as the first sexology research clinic in the world, and was run as a private, non-profit clinic. Hirschfeld and the researchers who worked there would give out consultations, medical advice, and even treatments for free to their poorer clientele, as well as give thousands of lectures and build a unique library full of books on gender, sexuality, and eroticism. Of course, being a gay man, Hirschfeld focused a lot on the gay community and proving that homosexuality was natural and could not be "cured".

Hirschfeld was unique in his time because he believed that nobody's gender was either one or the other. Rather, he contended that everyone is a mixture of both male and female, with every individual having their own unique mix of traits.

This leads into the Institute's work with transgender patients. Hirschfeld was actually the one to coin the term "transsexual" in 1923, though this word didn't become popular phrasing until 30 years later when Harry Benjamin began expanding his research (I'll just be shortening it to trans for this brief overview.) For the Institute, their revolutionary work with gay men eventually began to attract other members of the LGBTA+, including of course trans people.

Contrary to what Anon says, sex reassignment surgery was first tested in 1912. It'd already being used on humans throughout Europe during the 1920's by the time a doctor at the Institute named Ludwig Levy-Lenz began performing it on patients in 1931. Hirschfeld was at first opposed, but he came around quickly because it lowered the rate of suicide among their trans patients. Not only was reassignment performed at the Institute, but both facial feminization and facial masculization surgery were also done.

The Institute employed some of these patients, gave them therapy to help with other issues, even gave some of the mentioned surgeries for free to this who could not afford it! They spoke out on their behalf to the public, even getting Berlin police to help them create "transvestite passes" to allow people to dress however they wanted without the threat of being arrested. They worked together to fight the law, including trying to strike down Paragraph 175, which made it illegal to be homosexual. The picture below is from their holiday party, Magnus Hirschfeld being the gentleman on the right with the fabulous mustache. Many of the other people in this photo are transgender.

There was always push back against the Institute, especially from conservatives who saw all of this as a bad thing. But conservatism can't stop progress without destroying it. They weren't willing to go that far for a good while. It all ended in March of 1933, when a new Chancellor was elected. The Nazis did not like homosexuals for several reasons. Chief among them, we break the boundaries of "normal" society. Shortly after the election, on May 6th, the book burnings began. The Jewish, gay, and obviously liberal Magnus Hirschfeld and his library of boundary-breaking literature was one of the very first targets. Thankfully, Hirschfeld was spared by virtue of being in Paris at the time (he would die in 1935, before the Nazis were able to invade France). His library wasn't so lucky.

This famous picture of the book burnings was taken after the Institute of Sexology had been raided. That's their books. Literature on so much about sexuality, eroticism, and gender, yes including their new work on trans people. This is the trans community's Alexandria. We're incredibly lucky that enough of it survived for Harry Benjamin and everyone who came after him was able to build on the Institute's work.

As the Holocaust went on, the homosexuals of Germany became a targeted group. This did include transgender people, no matter what you say. To deny this reality is Holocaust denial. JK Rowling and everyone else who tries to pretend like this isn't reality is participating in that evil. You're agreeing with the Nazis.

He takes them somewhere the GIW can never go. He doesn't want to leave Earth, and he won't, because there might be another option.

Liminal Abilities are meant to adapt with the user. They're meant to guarantee survival.

Danny's adapted so much he became only half human. His ghost form can very easily adapt to pretty much anything, so his insane plan isn't so far fetched for him.

He, Sam, and Tucker steal a boat. It's technically a yacht, and it's technically Sam's parents, but they got rid of the GPS tracker and drove it out to sea until it ran out of gas.

He has Sam and Tucker ingest straight ectoplasm, and then hang out in the water for a few hours.

He's trying to trigger their liminality to make them akin to Atlanteans; able to breathe and thrive underwater, but still able to go to land if the need arose.

They develop mer tails instead.

Whoops.
