Milady: leopard shark (the ground shark one, not the carpet shark)

Spacepunk: whale shark. Friend shaped.

Ack ack: shortfin mako. They look like they would have the same attitude.

S'up s'up: blue shark. He's blue.

Diggety: coral catshark. Just vibes.

Diva: great white. Great white have diva vibes and vice versa.

Bizarbara: angular roughshark. It looks scared.

All banshees: horn sharks or carpet sharks. I know this is really broad but shhhh. Shotzi specifically is a zebra shark.

Trinkulus: gulper shark. They're kinda ugly, but in a endearing way. (I can't think any shark is ugly they're all perfect okay)

Shak graa: giant guitarfish. OKAY this one is actually part of the rays and skates BUT it's a guitar. The cruelty!

Oragala: megalodon. I don't actually remember why this is it. Probably because it's extinct and oragala is a god? Kinda the same idk.

Mother/father: porbeagal shark. It looks like the guy who was father in the show I was in. @daweirdo-applhead. You but a shark.

The shortfin mako shark also know as the blue pointer or bonito shark is a large mackerel shark of the genus isurus. The word "Mako" comes from the Māori language, meaning sharp tooth. The shortfin mako inhabits offshore temperate and tropical seas worldwide typically far from mainland coasts, it is a pelagic species which regularly dives to depths of 500ft. They are warm blooded endothermic predators and the fastest sharks alive today capable of reaching up to 45 mph in there pursuit of prey such as cephalopods, mackerels, tunas, bonitos, swordfish, other sharks, porpoises, sea turtles, sea birds, and dolphins. The shortfin mako is a sexually dimorphic species with males averaging around 8.5-10.5ft (2.5- 3.2m) in length and 130- 310lbs (60 -140kg) in weight while mature females reach upwards of 12ft (3.8m) and 1,200lbs (550kg).  They sport a cylindrical shaped body with a vertically elongated tail. They exhibit countershading, with brilliant metallic blue coloration dorsally and white ventrally. The line of demarcation between blue and white on the body is distinct. The underside of the snout and the area around the mouth are white. The juvenile mako differs in that it has a clear blackish stain on the tip of the snout. They are a polyandrous, ovoviviparous species with mothers giving birth to 4 to 18 live pups after a 15-18 month gestation. Males reach sexual maturity sooner at around 7-9 years compared to females at 19-21. Under ideal conditions a shortfin mako shark may live upwards of 30 years.

Spectember D14: The Future

Has been 200 million years since life on earth changed, a destructive astronomical event wiped out most of the surface life, leaving only the deep-water fauna almost untouched, and they have tried to recolonize the surface little by little, many squids, arthropods, bony fishes and also a very ancient group of vertebrates that passed this cataclysm, sharks.

Sharks have had a constant story of survival over the last 200 million years since they evolved, passing the KPg with ease, and counting back their oldest relatives that had similar body forms, that gives another 200 million years. Although people often want to remark they are sort of “living fossils” that’s just relative superficial as many groups that came before always had peculiar and unique anatomies for being of different groups, and now with the extinction of the surface-dwelling species like lamniform, there would be another wave of new differently forms, preserving some features of their predecessors but changed for the anatomical differences of other groups.

These are the Damselsharks, descendant of lantern sharks (Squaliformes, Etmopteridae) that took over the surface and diversified, sort of adopted a shape similar to the extinct  Lamniformes and so had to adjust some of their anatomy to make it fit to the pelagic predatory role in the ocean, with a drop shaped body and a tall head, very big eyes result of their still prevailing deep water behavior, as well prominent pectoral fins that resemble the ones of a mako shark, short dorsal, pelvic and anal fins and a well developed C shaped heterocercal tail. Their jaws remain similar to their ancestors in articulation and position, but adjusted to tear and cut meat with new types of dentitions depending of their prey.

Many species have lost their bioluminescence but others preserved it, even further developing certain communication behavior that can help them to coordinate whole groups while hunting, which one of the most impressive examples as well the largest species of this family, the Shakopath, a 4 meter long species with characteristic bioluminescent arrangement around the belly and different sized long spots around the pelvic region, they swim in large groups of 20 individuals, patrolling the surface for any potential prey, either large squids that camouflage with their environment and often compete for food or can hunt one of these sharks in an ambush; although also they can preffer fishes that swim or fly over the water, many of the pelagic species crustaceans and even other species of sharks which are also long distant relatives of the Damnselsharks.

I love the way you write misfire so much!!!! I think short fin mako! Misfire is literally perfect for him. Like I'm imaging him accidentally getting stuck on the deck of your boat out at sea.

Also my brain is empty only thinking about giving merformer! Misfire an energy drink for the first time. You let him have ONE sip of your monster and he chugs half the can in one gulp and makes it EVERYONES problem.

I like that you gave Grimlock the prehistoric shark! I think Megalodon fits his dino ass well.

Scavengers being scavengers and in the process cleaning up the ocean, what a way to get along well with the reader!! This also may mean they have a little mermaid type of misconception about the land world, thinking forks are combs and stuff like that. Instead of the W.A.P. Being a ship of some sort, it could be like a home cave for them. Also nickel is a shrimp. They are sassy and clean creatures that deserve the world.

Happy Earth Day. Xiphias gladius, better known as the swordfish or the broadbill, is a species of large predatory fish, and the sole living member of there family Xiphiidae. These fish can be found throughout the atlantic, pacific, and Indian oceans from the surface to depths up to 9,442ft (2,878m). This highly migratory species typically moves towards colder regions during the summer and warmer regions during the winter, feeding upon a wide range of pelagic fish, cephalopods, and crustaceans. Swordfish are not a schooling fish and often travel alone or in loose congregations, they may cruise at some 22mph (36km/h) and rely on there speed to catch prey, reaching up to 60mph (100km/h) in short bursts. Contrary to popular legend they do not stab there prey but rather slash at it with there sword. Swordfish are themselves occasionally preyed upon by killer whales, pilot whales, shortfin mako sharks, and possibly giant squid. Reaching around 10 to 15ft (3 to 4.55m) in length and 500 to 1,500lbs (230 to 680kgs) in weight, with female swordfish are slightly larger than males, they sport elongated and rounded bodies with tall fins and a distinctive sword like bill. Swordfish first hatch with scales and teeth but end up loosing both by adulthood. The breeding season varies according to the location, typically occurring in spring and summer in temperate zones and year round in tropical climates. During spawning a single female swordfish may lay 1 to 29 million eggs. Under ideal conditions a sword fish may reach sexual maturity at 4 to 5 years of age and live up to 16.

Return of the prince

The sea was super cold, and unforgiving. The waters roared with fury and slammed against the rocks that surrounded his small unconscious form. Tanjiro Kamado, a very well respected young lad, had crashed his ship into rocks, managing to cause a wreckage of his beloved ship. The waves rolled in, but his small unconscious form was on one of the rocks, legs unfortunate to get soaked by the salty water. A massive shark fin emerged from the water, yellow and light yellow with some white on the tip of the fin was almost impossible to miss.

A Short Fin Mako shark.

The fin swam around where Tanjiro's body was, slow. It wasn't long until the shark fin stopped swimming, disappearing under the water before a head emerged, scales scattered everywhere on the head. It was a Leviathan, not an overgrown or giant shark. Its hair was long and somewhat curly, a dark shade of grey that was nearly pitch black, yellow-golden eyes and weirdly coloured veins that were near the surface of its forehead and under its eyes, a smile plastered on its face.

It looked down at the unconscious sailor, eyes zeroed on the poor kid like a predator waiting to pounce on its prey. Its smile widened before placing both hands on each side from the rock the boy laid on unconsciously. Its clawed hands, from the tip of its fingers to its elbows, were eagle like. Its talons dug into the hard surface.

" My! What a pleasant surprise!"

It spoke, voice sounding like something from a fantasy world, it was definitely male. He brought his large head closer to the unconscious Kamado boy, inspecting him for any injuries. He was laying on his stomach, and his back seemed fine. That was, until he spotted the Hanafuda earrings. His eyes widened, smile faltering but it returned again but with more joy behind it.

" Oh... it seems that I have found you, Tanjiro. Master will be so happy to finally have you in his hand."

He gently turned the boy, which caused him to stir. His face scrunched up as he was gaining consciousness, fingers twitching. When Tanjiro woke up, the first thing he did was groan in pain and quickly put a hand on his shoulder, back turned to face Urogi. This was something that made him frown.

" U-gh... w-what... what happened?"

He heard the boy grunt, using his hand to hold his head in pain, to which Urogi found very worrisome. He said nothing, letting out a breathe that caused the small lad to turn around quickly, using one hand to feel for- what he assumed- to be his nichirin blade. The fear in his eyes grew when he didn't seem to find his weapon. Urogi leaned closer, lips inches away from the boy.

" Don't fear me, Young guppy. I bring no harm."

He spoke, four canine fangs clicking when he closed his mouth. He gave the poor boy the friendliest smile he could muster, trying to ease Tanjiro's nerves as much as possible. It didn't seem to work.

" D-don't c-c-come ne-nea-r me!"

The young boy said, scooting away with his body fully turned to face him, which gave Urogi a clear view of the boy's shoulder. It was not a pretty sight. His shoulder was, quite literally, busted open to the point that you could see the bone that attached his arm to the skeleton. How he didn't bleed out from the wounds was a miracle, or he crashed into the rocks recently. The possibility was huge.

" Look, Young guppy. If you aren't treated immediately, your wound could cause you to die of bloodloss or get infected and also lead you to your death."

He spoke gently, looking at the small human that Muzan had searched for, the one being he has been looking for, for more than 1000 years.

He saw the boy shift uncomfortably, knowing that he was speaking the awful truth. He needed Tanjiro's trust, before he could safely carry him to Muzan. If he didn't get the poor lad to M-

" Look, Young guppy, I am only trying to help you. Please, just trust me."

He said, voice desperate and reassuring. He didn't want to fail his Master and soon to be Master. Hopefully his kindness would be enough for the boy to trust him.

" I promise to not hurt you."

" O-oka-y..."

His eyes widened slightly, tail wagging underneath the dark waters in excitement. His eyes softened and he gently smiled a small kind smile.

" I am glad to hear that, Young guppy."

He said, before adjusting his position to be more comfortable than his previous position.

" Please don't be frightened for what I am about to do. I promise that it is safe."

The boy was confused, before he was frightened when he opened his maw, saliva dripping from the roof of his mouth. He started to panic, the cavernous maw of the Leviathan enveloping his smaller and more fragile body with ease. He felt the tongue lick his injury, causing it to burn and make him yell in pain.

" P-please d-do-n't-"

He choked, starting to sob and shake in fear. He heard and felt the Leviathan hum, almost as if it was purring in delight. Was this a trick? Was it going to finish him off after all?

He felt himself being maneuvered by the pink appendage near the back of its throat, causing him to start to panic even more and start to try to crawl away. It was fruitless, as he was pulled into the dark tube. The walls were gentle as it pulled him down, as if the creature knew how fragile his body was. He had tried to speak, but the saliva in the tube kept getting into his mouth.

A single swallow pulled him deeper, and it was all it took to send him down, into the inevitable organ that would bre-

He was gently deposited into the organ when his legs touched the sphincter to which the muscle allowed him to enter said organ. He slipped into a pool of something, and it didn't smell acidic.

" W-whe-where... is t-th-this? H-how am I not being eaten by this?"

He muttered, still fearful and shivering. It was a traumatizing experience. He heard a low rumble come from all around him, sending vibrations around the organ.

" How are you doing, Young guppy? Is everything alright in there?"

He flinched at the loud, yet, muffled voice that surrounded him. Why was it worried about him? Why did it ask if he was alright? Was it pla-

" ..."

" *Sigh* You must be so scared... such a traumatizing experience for you- but I promise that you are safe!"

" I-it's a-alri-alright..."

" I am glad. Rest now, you need it. Let me take care of you."

He felt his shoulder tingle, and the pain was gone. He turned to look at his shoulder, only to see that there was no deep wound anymore. He felt his eyes grow heavy and, without realizing it, he had fallen unconscious.

He gently and slowly lifted himself from where the boy was previously. He didn't want to wake up the poor child, he would have gone all the way to Sekido so that his head could be ripped off. As gently and as slowly as he could, he submerged himself under the dark and mysterious waters. He waited until he could swim without waking up the very tired child.

He began to swim to a deeper area of the ocean, making the ride not too bumpy for his little passenger inside his crop. He swam towards where he picked up Aizetsu's scent, and saw his brother.

" Aizetsu? What are you doing?"

He asked joyfully, smile plastered on his face.

" Found a poor victim of the storm..."

His brother said, webbed hand equipped with sharp nails- which were actually claws- placed on his chest. He decided to spill the news.

" I found him. The one Master has been looking for."

He saw his brother's eyes widen slightly, a small smile etched its way onto his face- despite it looking like a sad smile.

" Master will be proud."

" I agree."

He looked down at his chest, placing a taloned hand gently onto his chest where the kid was.

" Our little prince has returned."

mako’s are like the athletes of the shark world. they’re SPEEDY. short fin mako sharks can swim up to like 74kph (45mph) they’re very powerful swimmers and can go for long distances. they have the largest brain to body ratio of all sharks and have incredibly impressive critical reasoning and social skills. they’re so intelligent they don’t even rely on electroreception to navigate or hunt they just uses their regular senses. they’re even able to identify if a human is a threat to them or not and have been known to allow researchers they trust to hand feed and touch them. they love warm waters and prefer to live in tropical climates. they are aggressive hunters but almost never attack humans (there’s only been 8 unprovoked attacks recorded and all were non-fatal)

AND there is a video that i’ll link from last year in australia where a group of men were out on their boat fishing and the caught a mako so it jumped out of the water and flipped to dislodge the hook and then just kept zooming around and flipping out the water to show off and THAT is so james
