PRESENTING . . . the teahouse's secret menu !
here are some of the visitors of the teahouse that sneak in after closing time . . . these are miss ying's most esteemed visitors ! make sure to greet them nicely , because these three will act like her personal bodyguards should anything nasty come their way.

WRIOYING | wriothesley + ying !
sunshine x stormcloud trope !!!
ying and wrio met when he had finally gone up to the surface to get an errand done himself – until his sunshine spitfire (whom he had no idea who!) rammed into him at full speed. needless to say, there was a lot of apologising, and lots of promises to buy drinks as an apology gift! it didn't take much for him to take up the offer from the girl who caught his eye ( and got caught on his leg. and hence, tripped. )
it was history from then on ;–) he didn't realise that she was a social worker who would be working alongside some fortress inmates who actually wanted to leave after their time ended !!! she was to help them with reentering society :3c
stolen glances at his office, the curtains ever so slightly drawn back to let them take peeks at each other . . . asking for more one on one meetings and insisting that it was "vital to the progress of the inmates" and sneaky kisses before leaving his office hehee.
so maybe this was coworkers au after all
sea goddess au .. . . . official post coming out soon !

HAIYING | al haitham + ying !
calm black cat bf x excitable orange cat gf trope !!
hmm, where did ying and alhaitham meet? i'd love to think of it as a library meetcute – or best student x worst student. the library meetcute happened when both of them reached for the same book . . . cheesy but cute ! alhaitham got so woahed for a bit that he let go of the heavy book so suddenly, and because she was holding it ( and did not expect him to let go! ) she fell forward. onto him. and he caught her so effortlessly that she couldn't help but think that she quite literally fell for him.
and she started going to the library more often to sneak a glimpse of him ! she's not very good at being sneaky, so he caught her and asked if she wanted to join him ( of course she did. ) – she fumbled a little and said "only if you'd like me to." andddd to her surprise? it was responded to with a "of course i would."
girl who's in love with the world x boy who needs to see more of it

THE ISOYING COCKTAIL!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ISOYING | iso + ying !
sunshine x grumpycloud trope !
ying and iso met in valorant hq – ying had been recruited right before iso . . . she knew there was something special to him, but didn't know quite what! it was nice to see another agent of the same descent – maybe she, iso and sage could have dinner together.
honestly, she didn't quite like him at the start. he was too quiet, too stony, too aloof for her liking ; ying couldn't ever imagine being able to hang out with him one on one in fear of having to be the only one to fill the silence or sit through it.
until one day! she wanted to train with sage . . . but iso got there first. "oh! sorry... i'll come back later then." she apologised hastily, grabbing her things and preparing to head out.
"...it's fine. 如果你想留下来,就继续吧." [it's fine. if you want to stay, just continue.]
she sat right down and watched him finish his session before starting her own. it was just a regular session – him standing behind, ying making use of her radiant powers ... until:
“赶快做完。跟我去买珍珠奶茶,好吗?” [finish your training quickly. come with me to get boba, alright?] .. she'd never finished a training session so quickly in her life.
boba & hotpot dates !!!! night market dates once they went back to china !!!

It was the morning after your rendezvous with Santi. You were nervous to leave Maria’s room now, not sure what the vibe would be when you went down for breakfast. There was no discussion afterward about whether you would be going along pretending nothing happened, or if this was a thing now. Surely Santiago would want to put this behind him.
You weren’t stupid, you knew you couldn’t tell Maria, but you hadn’t figured out if there would be a repeat or if last night was a one time thing. Part of you hoped for it to happen again and again, another part of you, the part that cared for your friend, knew that it shouldn’t happen ever again. You wondered how Santi felt. Did he want to do it again? Or was it just something wild he needed to get out of his system and now it would all go back to normal?
You weren’t prepared for the most awkward breakfast of your life. One where you sat there in the same clothes Santi had fucked you in the night before while you sat across the table from his daughter, your best friend. He was clearly refusing to make eye contact with you. You never even saw him peek at you from your peripheral. You were tense, every nerve ending standing on high alert in your body. You tried not to tremble when you took a sip of your water.
Maria didn’t skip a beat though, continuing to talk nonstop, clearly unaware of the tension in the room. She was going on about the guy she was seeing from school, and how he wanted to take her to the movies that night, a fact that piqued both you and her father’s interest simultaneously. Normally you’d be upset that she was going to ditch you to spend time with some guy, but this could work in your favor…if Santi wasn’t done with you that is.
“Maria, that’s not nice to leave your friend when she’s only visiting for a couple days.” Santi scolded.
“I know, and look,” she looked at you, “you are more than welcome to come if you want. I just know that being a third wheel can be so awkward.” She said, biting into one of her pancakes.
“No, actually…” you looked over at Santi who averted his gaze the moment your eyes sat on him for more than a millisecond. “I have some stuff for school I gotta do and I wasn’t sure when I’d get a chance so that’s perfect.”
“See dad.” Maria said in a sassy tone that you knew pissed Santi off.
His jaw was clenched, “Maria, you don’t get to see her very often.”
“I’m literally grown dad, if she’s cool with it then I’m going.” Maria rolled her eyes.
Santi let out a frustrated huff, “Fine, you go straight to the movies and then you come right back. Thought I raised you not to be so rude.”
“That was mom.”
“Well she did a shit job.” He wiped his mouth with his towel and stood up.
Your eyes locked where you knew his cock was sitting behind the fabric of his sweats, right at eye level. You looked up at him, he had seen you looking. Maria was on her phone, totally oblivious to the sexual conversation you were having between her dad’s eyes and yours. Santi looked down at you, slack jawed and eyes dark.
I want to suck your cock, Mr. Garcia. You were saying.
You’re a bad girl, that isn’t happening again. You imagined he was thinking.
That is what he was thinking. Santi saw you looking up at him with those big twinkling eyes. You looked so damn innocent he could hardly stand it. He thought he could at least get through breakfast with you before he started feeling like he wanted a repeat of last night. Now he was imagining you on your knees in front of him with your lips stretched out around his girth.
“Maria, don’t make your friend do the dishes again alright?” He broke your gaze and started to walk away.
“Fine.” She groaned as Santi started up the stairs. “Hey dad?” She yelled to him.
“Yeah?”
“Can we use the hot tub?” She asked, getting up from the table.
You heard a long pause, and then you heard Santi come back downstairs. He looked at Maria, to you, and then back to Maria again. You watched his throat bob anxiously.
“Uh, I have to clean it, it's really dirty.” He protested, looking at you to see if you were buying his bullshit.
You weren’t, and neither was Maria.
“No it’s not.” She protested. “I just used it yesterday morning, it’s fine.”
He looked at you, eyes drenched in lust before looking back at Maria. You could see he was trying desperately to forget about last night, but unbeknownst to Maria, she was making that nearly impossible. Now he would be stuck trying not to watch you while you bathed under the sun in nothing but a skimpy bikini.
“Oh yeah…I thought…whatever, just go.” He sighed, finally making his way over the stairs.
“I mean, we don’t have to use it if he doesn’t want us to.” You figured if he really wanted to put it behind him so badly then you should probably try too, no matter how badly you still wanted him.
“No, he’s just being weird. I don’t know why he’s acting like that.” She said in an irritated tone.
You, of course, know exactly while he was acting like that. You and Maria went upstairs, after she finished loading the dishwasher, and you both put on your bathing suits. She was kind enough to let you wear her black one which, admittedly, left little to the imagination. As you were walking out you saw your phone light up on her desk and you grabbed it, your mom had texted asking you to call her.
“I gotta call my mom, I’ll be right down.” You explained to Maria who headed out of the bedroom and down the stairs.
She just wanted to remind you to pick up some milk from the grocery store on your way home the next day which you were sure could’ve been sent as a text, but your mom notoriously called for the simplest things.
You stepped out into the hall and nearly collapsed when you saw Santi come out of his room. You’d almost forgotten that you were wearing a bikini until he looked you up and down with his lips slightly parted. He stepped up to you, a gesture you weren’t expecting. You thought he would hide again, trying to avoid you. He hooked a finger under the strap around your shoulder and ran down the string. Your breath hitched in your throat.
“You enjoying yourself, huh sweetheart?” He asked, trailing his finger down under the thin fabric and brushing it against your nipple.
“M-Mr. Garcia.” You bit your bottom lip and closed your eyes. The slightest moan escaped you.
“You had to wear the skimpiest little bikini you could find didn’t you?” He pulled his finger back, letting the strap snap against your chest and then crossed his arms.
“It’s not mine.” You stepped back.
“You don’t seem like you’re trying very hard to stop this from continuing.” His brow furrowed.
Your eyes looked down and saw the shadow of an erection in his sweats. You thought once again about how big it felt inside of you while you were bent over the island counter. You felt your cunt flutter with need. You pressed your lips together tightly to keep another moan from escaping.
“Neither do you.” You said finally before gliding down the stairs quickly, trying to avoid making the situation even more awkward than it already was.
The hot tub was relaxing, and uneventful. You half expected Santi to make some excuse to get in there with you both, but that would’ve been too bold, not to mention incredibly awkward. Your body felt like it was vibrating with desire, you couldn’t stop thinking about him, no matter how hard you tried.
Maria was going on endlessly about things you wished you cared about, things you should care about, but instead you were thinking about all the ways you wanted her dad to make you come undone. You felt like a bad friend. In fact, you were a bad friend. The worst part of it though, was you were so wrapped up in thoughts about Santi, you weren’t sure you cared about what she had to say.
It wasn’t just the fact that you’d slept with her father either. You and Maria had started growing apart since you’d left for college. She stayed at a local school and you were going to a place out of state. You’d been more focused on your studies while she was worried about boys. You’d always heard that friends grew apart after highschool, but you didn’t think it would happen to you. Her self absorbed attitude certainly didn’t help your friendship either.
After thirty minutes of listening to her drone on about her date that evening, you said, “I have to go to the bathroom, be right back.”
You were feeling flustered, unable to shake the thoughts of Santi buzzing through your mind, and decided you’d better go take care of yourself in the bathroom quickly. You couldn’t stop thinking about him touching you since his finger had brushed against your nipple just a little while ago. You wanted him so bad you could hardly stand it anymore.
Santi was nearly beating his head against the wall, trying to figure out how to get over this little thing the two of you had going on. It was a mess, and he knew it couldn’t end well for either of you. He had to be the more mature one, he couldn’t let this continue. He felt confident in his decision to keep his hands off you until he stepped out of his room and saw you walking up the stairs with your body all wet and glistening.
You stared at him for a moment, like you were frozen, until you finally found the words to say.
“Sorry, just really had to use the bathroom.” You said, realizing now that you weren’t wearing a towel.
Santi shook his head slowly. You were breathtaking, and such a tease.
“So fucking stupid.” He rushed forward and pulled you in for a bruising kiss. You gasped, melting into his touch, “I know what you’re doing…I know exactly what you’re doing.”
Santi moved quickly, tugging your bathing suit bottom to the side and then pulling his own sweats to his thighs. You wrapped your arms around his strong shoulders as he lifted you and sheathed his cock deep inside your soaking wet cunt. You tossed your head back, trying desperately to keep yourself from crying so loudly that Maria, and the whole neighborhood, would hear you.
“So fucking wet, been thinking about me all morning? Huh?” He fucked you hard and fast, the muscles in his shoulders rippled under your hands.
“Yes…oh-fuck-yes.” You pressed your lips together tightly.
“Course you have hermosa, of fucking course you have. You’re such a little tease, can’t get enough can you?” He grunted with every powerful thrust.
You leaned forward, holding onto him tightly while he continued splitting your hole open right there in the hallway. His cock was stretching and resizing you still. It felt good despite the dull ache. His hips slapped against your rear, echoing down the stairwell. You sat back again, looking into his dark hooded eyes before you leaned in to kiss him.
“I don’t think you’ve been very good do you?” Santi adjusted himself so he was holding you with only one arm so he could reach his hand up to squeeze your jaw, keeping your lips from touching his. “Maybe when you act right I’ll give you what you want.”
“Mr. Garcia, please.” You begged, looking into his eyes.
He was hitting so deep, forcing sharp whimpers from your lips. You wanted to feel that closeness, that softness from him. He wasn’t going to give it to you, that much was clear. His lips pressed into a thin line while he looked at you.
“Oh cariño, wish you could see how desperate you look right now.”
“Hey…!” Maria yelled your name from downstairs.
There was a brief and panicked pause where you and Santi stared at each other wide-eyed. You pushed him back, feeling empty when his cock was out of you. You quickly tugged your bikini bottoms back over yourself and you watched him pull his sweats back up. He padded on bare feet back to his bedroom and silently closed the door, leaving you alone in the hallway.
“You up here?” Maria said, coming up over the stairs.
You must’ve looked stupid just standing there. You turned around and gave her a quick, and not very convincing, smirk. Your best friend chuckled when she saw you.
“What the hell are you doing? You look like you saw a ghost.”
“What?” You giggled nervously. “N-no I just…um…I realized I just started my period and I don’t have a tampon.”
You felt every hair on your body stand up.
Maria’s entire posture relaxed, “well why didn’t you just say so! Jeez!”
While the rest of the evening was uneventful, that didn’t stop it from being awkward, and it certainly didn’t stop you from feeling the unnerving tension over the dinner table while you sipped your water. Santi kept looking at you, you could see him out of your peripheral. You wondered if Maria ever stopped talking, though you were glad that she managed to break up the silence, saving it from getting even more awkward the closer it got to her leaving for her date.
Surely Santi had been upset about being unable to finish in you earlier, as upset as you had been without a doubt. You’d spent the day trying to ease the ache between your legs by ignoring him, but every glance he passed sparked your arousal once more. You wondered if, when you were finally alone, he was going to be as mean as he was in the hallway earlier.
You looked over at him. His brow was furrowed while he took a long gulp of his water. A droplet fell onto his chin. You watched as he swiped it away with a finger and then plopped it in his mouth. Your lips parted slightly, letting a soft and breathy exhale to escape you.
“Oh! Shit, sorry I have to go.” Maria said, forcing both you and her father to look in her direction.
You looked at the clock. She was supposed to leave five minutes ago. Maria stood up quickly and walked over to her dad, giving him a kiss on the forehead before waving to you both and heading out the door. An anxious air fell over the room now that she was gone. You didn’t dare look to your left where you could feel Santi’s piercing gaze. What if he’d changed his mind since your meeting in the hall?
“Gonna go work on my homework.” You said, standing and starting for the stairs.
Santi grabbed your wrist, stopping you in your tracks and pulling you back toward him. You heard him slide his chair out and he put you on his lap. His cock was so hard, prodding against you through his sweats and your shorts. His hands were immediately explorative, one hand grabbing your throat so he could leave wet kisses on the other side easier, and the other hand wasted no time tucking into the waistband of your shorts to search around for your clit.
You whined, arching your back into his chest when he found the spot that had been tormenting you all day. His thick and dexterous fingers started their work, swirling around your sensitive nub masterfully.
“Mr. Garcia…it feels so good.” You whined, churning your hips into his hand.
“Course it does, sweetheart.” He growled into your throat.
He slipped one of his fingers into your hole, dragging it over your walls in a delicious rhythm. You reached a hand up and grabbed a fistful of his curls, pushing his face into your throat even more.
“Think you can handle more? Hm?” He stuck another finger in your tight hole. You gasped, “there you go, how do you like that?”
He kissed your neck, slipping his tongue to wet your skin with every pass. You lay your head back over his shoulder, giving in to him completely, unable to physically support your own weight anymore. You bit your bottom lip, stifling a groan that rumbled up through your chest. Santi moaned over your throat. His kissing became more rough, nearly bruising your skin.
“Mr. Garcia I can’t…please…someone will see-”
“Shhh. Remember what I said before? Need you to be a good girl for me now.”
He started pumping his digits into you faster, so hard you started whimpering, mouth wide open into the dining room. His lips were working on you, suctioning the soft skin from your neck into his mouth before releasing it. It’s like he wanted to get caught. If Maria saw that, she’d know it could only come from one place.
“I can feel you fucking soaking through your shorts hermosa, you’re a messy little thing aren’t you? Hm?” He kissed softly on your shoulder.
“Yes, yes, messy…mhm.” You weren’t able to form a proper sentence to save your life. You were too focused on Santi’s fingers fucking you open.
“I can feel your tight little pussy squeezing around me, you gonna come for me? I know you want to, must’ve been a long day for you after we got interrupted.” He moaned, shifting his hips under you, “I know it was hard for me not to sneak you off to my room and fuck you into the mattress.”
“Wish you did…wish you fucked me Mr. Garcia.” You felt the heat pooling in your core, white hot as it seared through you.
“I bet you do cariño, bet you want me to fill you up again too.” He was breathing so heavy in you ear now, “fuck.”
“Yes, yes I do!” You felt it, you were right there. “Yes!”
Your cunt crushed his fingers while your body fell completely limp against his frame. Thankfully he was still holding you in place, otherwise you would’ve fallen to the floor. Your mind went white, while you came down and your breathing slowly turned to normal. When you opened your eyes and turned to Santi, he held an aroused gaze. He pulled his fingers out of you.
You turned around, straddling Santi on either side of his powerful thighs. You reached a hand down and grabbed hold of his cock on the outside of his sweatpants. A breathy moan escaped him, brushing over your face softly. You leaned in.
“Can you teach me?” You asked gently, “how to…how to…”
“Tell me sweetheart, use your words.” He reached up and cupped your cheek with one hand, and dropped the other onto your hip, squeezing tight against the meat of your rear.
“I want to take you in my mouth Mr. Garcia, please.” You asked as innocently as you could muster.
Santi gulped, looking up at you with adoration instead of his usual smug grin. He pulled you in for a gentle kiss, entangling his tongue with yours softly. He stayed like that, melting his mouth into yours passionately while you churned your hips over his erection idly. He moaned into you, squeezing your hip tightly.
“Think you can handle it cariño?” He asked, eyes darting between yours.
“I think so, I want to try.”
“Okay then, get down on your knees hermosa.” He ordered, tapping your side.
You did as you were told, sliding off his legs and getting down on your knees. Santi pulled his pants down, shucking them off his feet and tossing them aside. You were in awe. You’d felt his cock, but you’d never had the opportunity to really admire it until now. It looked even bigger than it had felt when you had it inside of you.
“Take it slow at first, figure out what you can handle.”
He spread his legs wide and pressed a gentle, though very large, hand against your cheek. You shuffled on your knees in between his thighs. You took him in your hand, unable to fully cage your fingers around his girth.
“It’s so big.” You said, gulping the excess saliva that had formed in your mouth at the sight of it.
“I know sweetheart, just take your time.”
You noticed a bead of precum forming at the head, so you started with that. You brought your soft tongue to the tip, dragging it over the slit and collecting the sweet fluid that had collected there. It tasted good. You’d never done anything like that before and weren’t sure what to expect when touching it to your tongue, but you were pleasantly surprised.
“Go ahead and get it all nice and wet. That will help.” He said in a gentle tone.
You looked up at him before looking back down at his cock. It throbbed in your hand. You dropped a glob of spit over the head, watching it trickle down the sides. You moved your hand just enough to let it coat the entire length. Santi groaned in response. You gripped over it again and slid your fingers around to make sure it was nice and slick.
“F-fuck, there you go, that’s really good.” Santi moaned, churning his hips upward to chase your closed fist. “Now put your lips around it.”
He brushed the pad of his thumb over your cheekbone, giving you a sense of comfort. You felt small suddenly, unsure how this was going to go. You weren’t even sure if you’d be able to get your lips all the way around it, but you tried anyway. Opening wide, you took him in. Your lips stretched out the further down you got. You felt your tongue splayed out across the underside. Santi let out a breathy whine in response.
“That’s it sweetheart…so good. Mm, what a pretty little mouth.” He looked down at you with that same look he had before. “See how far down you can go.”
He held the back of your head as he guided you forward. You moved slowly, enjoying the taste of his cock while you lowered yourself. You stopped when you reached the threshold of your throat. You were certain there was no way he could go further.
“You need to relax your throat, can you try to do that?”
You gagged but tried to stay on it. It was too much though, you shook your head and came back up for air, coughing in the process. You felt embarrassment wash over you. You wanted to impress him, showing him that you knew what you were doing, but that clearly wasn’t going to happen. The truth was that you had no idea what you were doing.
“Sorry, I suck I…I really don’t know what I’m doing and-”
“Sh sh sh! Cariño!” He looked at you with a furrowed brow, “you’re doing great, try again.”
You sniffled and nodded. You weren’t sure if the tear that trickled down your cheek was from your gag reflex being activated, or if it was from your shame. Santi swiped it away with his thumb and gently pulled your face back to his cock.
“You need to go back down, breathe through your nose, and relax your throat, okay?” He raised his eyebrows at you.
You nodded, “yes.”
“Okay, try again for me.”
You let out an exhale while you readied yourself to go back in. Opening slowly, you took his cock past your lips once more. His girth felt good filling your mouth, stretching you out again. He moaned deeply, muttering fuck, and pushing in just a little on his own. You remembered that he told you to breathe in through your nose, and it helped.
“That’s it, breathe sweetheart, you’re doing so…oh fuck…so fucking good.” He was gripping your head a little tighter now, “look at me. Wanna see those pretty eyes.”
You looked up at him. Your eyes were watering as you tested the limit of your throat once more. You gagged, but quickly regained control and stayed with your lips wrapped around him. You felt warm tears start trickling down your cheeks. Santi wasn’t even bothering to brush them away anymore, he just smirked at you, that same cocky grin he always had.
“Why don’t you touch yourself? Keep sucking my dick while you do.” He instructed, never letting his eyes leave yours.
You obeyed, tucking a hand into the waistband of your pants and swirling a finger around your clit. You moaned over his cock when you did. It got easier as you went down again and again, letting his thick member push down throat when you relaxed. You just had to remember to keep breathing through your nose.
“Oh cariño, you’re a fuckin’ natural, feels good. You sure you’ve never done this before?” His voice sounded wrecked.
Santi held onto your head now and started bucking his hips upward. You didn’t mind, you could handle it. You squeezed your eyes, feeling the burn of your mascara running down. You tried so hard to keep them open for him.
“So pretty sweetheart, such a good little girl for me…fuck…love when you choke like that.” He thrusted upward again, forcing a grunt from you. “Think you can take a little more?”
You nodded as best as you could.
“Course you can, go get on the couch for me. Hang your head off the front and put your legs up the back cushions.”
You gasped for air when he released you. Spit connected your lips to his cock in slick strands. You took your hand out of your shorts and stood up. Santi stood too and gave you a deep kiss, despite your mouth being completely covered in saliva. He gestured for the couch. You got yourself into the position he’d demanded of you, letting your head hang off the edge of the cushions.
“If this is too much, you need to just tap my leg, ok?” He asked, looking down at you.
“Yeah, ok.” You said, looking at him from upside down.
“Touch yourself, and lay your tongue out flat for me.” You did both, returning your fingers to your swollen and needy clit while also splaying your tongue out on your chin as wide as you could.
Santi ran the length of his cock against your tongue, reveling in the way it felt against him. He pushed himself into your mouth, and you were shocked when his entire length slid easily into your throat. You still gagged a little, and you had to breathe in between the moments that his balls brushed against your nose, but this was easier. Santi reached forward, pressing his palm to your throat gently.
“Feel that? I can see my cock in your little fucking throat cariño…shit.” Santi was a mess, rutting his hips into you faster.
He leaned forward, keeping his cock in your mouth, and tugged your shorts upward over your thighs. He swatted your hand away and started rubbing your clit with his thumb. You grabbed the couch cushions for dear life. Feeling your throat being resized by such a big cock in combination with Santi’s skilled fingers working on your clit made your body tremble.
“You gonna come for me one more time? Want to feel you screaming over my cock sweetheart, come on.”
You moaned in affirmation. Santi’s fingers kept working on your clit, swirling in circles over the burning nub. You arched your back into his touch, desperate to feel that sweet release once more.
“I want you to swallow everything I feed you…you got that? Every…last…drop.” He let out a sharp exhale, but never slowed his pace.
Tears were still running down your face. You churned your hips into his fingers, greedy for more friction, which he provided. You were there, so close, ready to feel yourself go limp once again in ecstasy. Santi could tell, just from the way you squirmed under him, that you were about to come undone.
“Be a good girl alright? You’ve been a little fucking tease all day, now you can make it up to me.”
His hips stuttered but his fingers didn’t stop working on you. You felt your cunt clamping down around nothing while Santi’s cock pumped into you and stretched out your throat. You were screaming, just like he’d asked, muscles vibrating around his length. His groans of pleasure were louder than they’d been last night when he fucked you against the counter.
Even if you didn’t want to swallow his load, which you did, you wouldn’t have a choice. He shot it directly into your esophagus, not leaving you with the option to spit or swallow. It didn’t matter though, you were happy to take whatever he gave you, all you wanted to hear were those words. You wanted Santi to tell you that you were a good girl.
“Fuck sweetheart…”
He pulled out of your throat when he was finished and helped you to sit up straight on the couch. Santi pinched your chin between his thumb and forefinger before he kissed you deeply. It felt so good, you didn’t want it to end, but you knew your time was running out. Your friend would be coming home soon.
“You were such a good girl for me, go get yourself cleaned up before Maria gets home. I’ll see you at breakfast.”
----
When you left Maria’s house the next day to return home, you’d completely forgotten the milk that your mother asked you to pick up. You were going back to your college dorms the next day, and you wondered how long it would take for you to stop thinking about how badly you wanted to get in bed with Mr. Garcia again.
You thought after a few days of classes you would be able to forget all about him, but your phone buzzed on your way in one morning almost a week after your last meeting with him. You opened it, and saw an unrecognized number had sent you a text.
Unknown: Can’t stop thinking about you sweetheart.

The tip of Wonwoo’s cock was hitting just the right spot, he knew this because he felt you lakes shake as he thrusted back into you. The blanket you were gripping was not helping you gain control of yourself, especially not when he’s quite literally giving you the best sex you’ve ever had. Your moans fill up his room, his grunts are soft, but loud enough to make you dizzy the more he fucks you.
This quick “meet up” was supposed to be 10 minutes, you both had class at 10:00 a.m but it was now currently 10:39 a.m. Wonwoo asked you to ride him, in which you agreed but soon after Wonwoo flipped you onto your stomach and slid back into you as he stood on the edge of the bed and started fucking you the way you like it.
“Fuck, you’re so good to me” he moaned. The sudden praise made you clench around his cock, the sudden action made him hiss in pleasure. “My baby, you’re doing so well” he said, which made you moan into the pillow that was under your head. You wanted to respond, but you couldn’t, not when you were so close to releasing for the third time.
That’s when the you both heard the front door open. “Hey Won, I’m home” Jungkook yelled. The sound of Jungkook’s voice made Wonwoo come to a halt, you unintentionally clenched around him out of fear of being caught. Unfortunately for you, Wonwoo didn’t care about his brother being home and began to thrust which caused you to yelp out of shock. “W-won I’m clos—“ you tried to say but got cut off when you reached you’re limit and released onto him. Seconds later you felt Wonwoo’s release in you.
“If you’re going to have someone over, give me a heads up” Jungkook yelled. Hearing his voice again had you filled up with guilt, Wonwoo answered “yeah well this is my place, go home” and laid in bed with you, wrapping his arms around your waist. “I live with you” Jungkook yelled. Wonwoo muttered “oh, right” into your ear, and you giggled as you tried to release yourself from his grip.
“I need to go before he finds me” you whispered, Wonwoo sighed and said “just stay, he’s going to work soon”. You sat on the bed and turned to look at him, he was looking at you with a pout. You rolled your eyes and said “Well I don’t want to be naked right now, I’m going to shower” you said as you got up and went in his bathroom to shower. Wonwoo sat up to join you, he knew you didn’t want to be caught, and neither did he. Not by Jungkook of all people, if people were going to know the both of you have been dating for almost six months, it had to be done through a post, or showing up together to events or something, not because Jungkook, Wonwoo’s brother, and your best friend caught you doing lord knows what in Wonwoo’s bedreoom.
Jungkook was your best friend since middle school, he was somebody you grew up with, and somebody important to you. You knew Wonwoo and he knew you but there were never any romantic feelings until six months ago, at a college party.
You didn’t know anybody there except for Wonwoo, after a game of seven minutes in heaven and some alcohol, Wonwoo was fingering you in the bathroom. Not very classy (for both of you) but that’s how it all began. One led to another and he eventually asked you to be his girlfriend after a date at the movies.
What’s that trope, she fell hard and he fell harder? You said I love you first, he said it a month after. You’re friends always said “he should be the one to say it first” but you couldn’t help it, you did love him, you love him so much, and Wonwoo loves you too, perhaps even more than you do, he’s obsessed with you.
You were going to tell Jungkook, he should know of all people, he’s your best friend, he’s the reason you know Wonwoo and Wonwoo knows you, but the both of you were nervous to tell him.
It’s not like Jungkook would get upset but it was more about not knowing how he’ll feel, and not wanting your friendship to be ruined by it. So the two of you agreed to date in secret, until the time was right.
After the both of you finished showering and got ready, you heard the front door close, which promoted the both of you to head out to the living room.
“Well, there’s no use in going to class anymore… want to watch a movie?” Wonwoo asks as he sits on the couch.
You join him and rest your legs on his lap and say “yeah, but I want to watch something cute”
Wonwoo nods and says “hmm why don’t we watch a—“
“Why don’t you check the whole apartment first before you get all cozy” Jungkook said which made the two of you jump off the couch.
“Oh, you’re home? y/n actually just came over to—“ Wonwoo was cut off
“Save it, did you really think I wouldn’t notice? I’m not stupid.” Jungkook said bluntly.
“It’s not, I’m sorry” You said, Wonwoo held your hand and looked at you, Jungkook was quiet, he seemed upset, Wonwoo was about to speak when Jungkook started laughing.
“I’m sorry, I can’t do this, I wanted to act like I’m mad but.. you’re faces”
“I’m going to hurt you” you said as you playfully shove him, Wonwoo joins you as he starts tickling Jungkook by poking at his stomach. This sends Jungkook into a fit of laughter, after a minute or so Wonwoo asks “How did you even know?”, “yeah we hid it so well” you added.
“I saw you kissing at school, I’m not mad, I’m actually happy you’re dating each other, I love you both and I honestly knew you were going to tell me eventually but it’s been… wow you must have been nervous or something” Jungkook says as he heads into the kitchen to grab a snack.
Looking at each other with a surprised expression as Jungkook sits on the couch. “So you’re not mad?” You ask, “no. You want me to be? I know our parents would be happy, they always wanted you as their daughter in law, guess Won is the unluc—“ Jungkook joked but you smacked his back. Wonwoo laughed as you both sat down on the couch, you glared at him which made him give you a hug, and you trying to pull away. “He’s unlucky because I have you.” Wonwoo said as he kissed your cheek. Jungkook scoffed and rolled his eyes, “please do all of the kissy lovey dovey shit out of my sight”
You laughed and said “oh you mean this” and snuggled onto Wonwoo resting onto his shoulder, Wonwoo joined and sat you on his lap.
Jungkook got up and said “Yeah… no, I’ll watch a movie in my own room”, the both of you started laughing and Wonwoo soon said, “at least he’s not mad”
Jungkook yelled “Oh, and don’t do it when I’m here, I do not want to hear my best friend and brother getting down and dirty when I’m present!”
Your face turning a bright red and Wonwoo yelling “Yeah well get you’re own place then!”
“Okay let’s not—“ you said but Jungkook interrupted when he yelled “I pay rent too you know!”
Wonwoo ignored him and said “I kind of want to go out to eat now, let’s go out?”.
note: thanks for reading! hope you enjoyed this. Let me know what you think. I’ll post another fic soon.
Thank You <3

Warnings: angst, fake cheating, argument, self doubt.
In which you perform a prank on JJ with Calfreezy and it goes terribly wrong.
a/n: thank you for requesting!! I literally wrote this within an hour of your request because I love the idea so much (I’m only posting it now because I already posted something yesterday). Anyway hope you enjoy🫶🏼🤍
Tumblr media
I've known JJ since we were teenagers. We started off as friends, moved to London together, I lived in the sidemen house for a little while and during that time we began dating. He asked me to be his girlfriend and we've been together ever since. I've been doing YouTube for as long as I can remember, that's how me and JJ became friends since not many people did YouTube at that time. I'm also great friends with the rest of the sidemen, Callux and Freezy.
Recently I've been doing a series on my channel where I prank JJ and he started doing it back. It started with little ones like: drawing a beard on him while he slept (because he can't grow one), then he bought a confetti bomb and scared the shit out of me with it. It continued on like that for a few weeks, me and JJ thought it was absolutely hilarious. Recently my comments have been full of people asking me to do a "cheating prank" so I decided to deliver.
I asked Freezy to do it with me since we've always got along well, he thought it would be funny so said yes. I asked him to come round to our apartment just before JJ was due to return home from a sidemen shoot. To make it look "real" but not actually touch each other we decided when we heard JJ open the front door Cal would make it look like he was quickly putting his clothes back on. I set up the camera so it was hidden but faced the bedroom door so it would catch JJ's reaction. Then me and Cal explained what was going to happen for the viewers.
When we heard the door click I jumped under the covers so my head was just peaking out and Cal rushed to take his top off. "y/n?!" JJ shouted through the apartment. I didn't respond. "y/n?" JJ opened the door just as Cal pulled his shirt back over his head. His face went blank as his eyes flickered from me and then back to Cal. "What the fuck are you doing!" He said stepping forward and harshly pushing Cals shoulder so he stumbled back slightly. I actually wasn't expecting him to believe it. I leaped up from the bed. "Woah, JJ it's a prank!" I stammered. His brows furrowed angrily. "Stop lying, I caught you!" He shouted. "No seriously mate, it's a prank." Cal stated. "Look." I lept around the bed to grab the hidden camera and held it up for him to see. His face calmed.
JJ shot a quick apology at Cal then he left, leaving me and JJ alone. We sat on the bed. I gently cupped his face in my hands. "Do you seriously believe I'd ever cheat on you?" I asked calmly. His eyes dropped to his lap but I brought his head higher so he looked me in the eyes. "I just- you're so amazing and I-" he started. I nodded my head telling him to go on. "I still can't believe someone like you would want to be with someone like me." My heart sank. "I love you so much. I've never loved anyone as much as I love you, and I never will." I said quietly. He pulled me into a hug and held me tight. "I'm sorry for reacting like that." He said into the crook of my neck. "No, I shouldn't have done the prank. I didn't think about the fact you might believe it, that was stupid of me." He pulled away "I love you." I smiled "I love you too."

“Leave enough branches so that the kids don’t have to reach too high, okay?”
Vernon had offered to help you decorate the tree you’d brought into your classroom that year. He was festive enough with his own decorations (one little tree that sat on the table behind his desk), and you were far more excited about decorating when the two of you talked over dinner, so... why not? He’d helped you with the lights, and now he was sitting on the floor with you, hanging small, round ornaments on the bottom of the tree. You’d told him he only reason you committed to decorating so much here was for two reasons: your apartment didn’t have the space for a big tree like this (which was true: he’d gone over there enough times to know that the tiny tree you kept was all you could work with), and because the kids always loved seeing your decorations.
“I know,” he said, turning back to your box of plastic ornaments. “We’ve done this before.”
That the two of you had. You’d asked him for help two years ago and that was what sparked your relationship. One of the third grade teachers had taken maternity leave in the middle of November due to complications (that thankfully, from what Vernon heard, meant nothing once she was given the chance to rest instead of keeping up with the kids), and you’d been there to take her place. You’d admitted that this time of year was always your favorite because you liked spreading joy. He’d come into his classroom to see a candy cane on his desk with a little tag attached to it with a “happy holidays!” written in swirly writing purposefully done to be cute. All the third grade teachers received them, but it’d made him smile nonetheless.
And unfortunately for Vernon, kids were smarter than he thought. Your name had been brought up by one of his kids months later, and they’d proudly asked “are you two in looooove?!” with glee.
He’d changed the topic immediately to go back to the lesson. It didn’t help when you stopped by, dropping off the papers he’d left on the printer during lunch, and smiled at him.
(”That’s the look my dad gives my mom! Mr. Chwe, are you in love?!” Kids were truly too smart for their own good, even if he did continue to deny it.)
Then you started asking him for help more often with decorating. For Valentines day, because you always had a little hearts theme and candy to give out; for Halloween, too, because you loved your black cats and bats. It eventually turned into asking him to help out with... literally anything. Prepping your classroom for the new year (you’d always return the favor, too), after breaks...
“You know, I’m starting to think you’re in love with me,” he’d teased while helping you line one of your bulletin boards after the school year had come and went that first year. He honestly hated seeing everything come down.
You’d looked up. “You’re just now noticing?”
(The lunch you treated him to after he helped you take down Christmas decorations that year was pointedly not meant to be friendly, and neither was the kiss on his cheek you’d left him with after asking if you could. He didn’t think it was, but he’d fight Chan for talking him out of thinking so when he pointed out that you were affectionate with everyone.)
That had been a year and a half ago, and now Vernon was proudly your boyfriend (to other staff--the kids would never know unless and until the two of you ever got married). He liked doing things like this with you. Decorating your classroom, bringing coffee to you in the mornings, making copies of worksheets... It was a little sign that he cared about you without being obvious about it, even if it did net him a little bit of teasing from the older staff members.
“I wish my apartment was bigger,” you sighed.
He shrugged, not really thinking as he hung a blue ornament on a low branch. “Why don’t you just move in with me? I’ve got plenty of space and I’m closer to the school.”
You looked up. He continued decorating without a word. “Wait, what?”
And Vernon realized what he said. “Never mind, you don’t have to--”
“No, let’s talk about this,” you said. “Do you want me to move in with you?”
He didn’t meet your eyes as he pressed his lips together. “I’ve thought about it. I mean, it’d be nice... We’d save on rent, you wouldn’t have to get up so early to commute here, we’d get more time together--”
You leaned in, kissing him quickly. He smiled against your lips, thankful that the two of you were alone save for the rest of the school staff. “I’d love to.”
(And if that lead to the two of you making plans to decorate your apartment in the future... then Vernon was more than happy to do it, as long as he woke up and went to bed with you every day.)

Let me preface this by saying that I'm recounting all of this kind of mundane shit about BFR for myself because guaranteed I'm going to be trying to understand/recap this narrative while im lonely in colorado. And honestly I know it's gonna be easy for me to forget details and second-guess shit that feels so obvious to me in the moment. So if you don't want a blow by blow of this absolutely PG romantic relationship, just skip this one for now.
Today was really nice and the first day in a little while where I haven't had anything pressing to do. It was pouring at the clinic today--has been all week. Yesterday I sat in my front seat w BFR and we smoked a joint together and made fun of the one wet protester until the rain passed. Great morning.
We had lunch together at one of my favorite taco spots in my old neighborhood, and then we had to walk back to the thai place where we ate dinner the night before bc they'd left their sunglasses behind. We went to a coffee shop for a while where they patiently waited for me to be done with a working meeting on my laptop. Then we took a walk in the park in between rain. It was just seamless, idk. There's no question that we'll go do the next thing together. When the rain wouldn't let up at the park, I suggested we go to one of my fave places in the city, and I drove us to a giant used bookstore that was a few miles away.
I didn't realize until we got there that they'd never been before!! I try to take everyone I can there if they're from out of town, and it is ABSOLUTELY my favorite place to both take a new date and have a special date with an established partner. I don't feel guilty about taking basically everyone I've ever dated there--a good date is a good date. There's a lot of built-in conversation to be had and it's easier than a bar and free to wander around. We accidentally killed an enormous amount of time there, and we shot the shit about 20th century history which is my jam, so amazing to talk abt it w someone who can hang, READS, and doesn't have anything to prove in terms of static knowledge recall.
We hung out for a little while but they had yoga and I wanted to head home so we split up after that and it felt... weird? Like it always feels like there's this last step we are missing to our goodbyes. They forced a hug one time when we were saying goodbye from the clinic, but it was really early on and RIGHT when I was coming to terms with being attracted to them (like second time seeing them after having the realization) which means I was in ultra robot mode, and also assumed it was one-sided and they were just trying to be nice. Like I literally think I did a one arm side hug and they were so dejected they never tried again. Now we're weeks later and it feels weird that we're not kissing goodnight or something.
But I had the evening to myself and finally broke down and talked to someone from my real life about them. He was very affirming that I'm not insane, and just recapping the timeline to someone made it make more sense in my mind. I didn't even have to present half of my evidence for my friend to say yeah, that's going in A Direction. I just second guess it all for a variety of reasons, but for example when I screenshotted a text and sent it as evidence that I feel like they text me like a coworker sometimes, my friend pointed out that nobody in the history of neutral coworkers has ever crafted such a long and careful text. Which. Touche.
This morning we were back out at the clinic bright and early. My friend was supposed to join us but she couldn't at the last minute. Instead she dropped into the chat and asked if someone could fill in for her. If I didn't feel like we were already attracting attention (spoiler: we are), i would've REALLY preferred to jump in and say "noooo worries, no third wheel needed please." But we are getting a little visible. So I didn't. And BFR's friend jumped in to take my friend's place volunteering with us.
I ended up being really happy the friend was there though! The two of us are more like a couple when there IS a third person there, although the vibe can be a lot to navigate sometimes and I often have to shut down and take some time to myself. It wasn't unwelcome to have him there though. It makes the vibe between me & bfr more apparent, pronounced, whatever. We already have such a shorthand in common which 😍 wrow, communication fluency.
I invited his friend to lunch with us, and he accepted, and it was fun--I took them to my favorite Greek place which is legit like three blocks from the clinic.
Friend went on his way, the two of us moved to the next location: their favorite spot to work. I also love this location bc you can watch the afternoon rain and vape furiously on the porch without getting wet. Like I said, today was the first day in a while where neither of us had much to do in the way of work. They have been threatening to inflict their favorite board game on me for a while now, and it finally happened today. I am notoriously uninterested in board games (more like bored games amiright) but the combo of my biggest fan being excited to teach/compliment me on how AMAZING i am at it (rofl lying but ok) and the inherent fun of the game meant that I, uh, had a lot of fun, unfortunately.
We did two REALLY close rounds, and in the second game they almost fully missed a work call they had at 7:00 (I remembered bc i am insane but I also didn't mention it until 6:50 bc I thought maybe they were goofing on me and pretending like they'd lost track of time). Turns out they had been planning on muting and barely looking at the meeting anyway bc they didn't wanna stop playing--which is flattering but I'm also like "[Redacted], i already very much want the best for you, INCLUDING not becoming completely codependent and risking your living bc im so charming and fun" so there was a lot of me pausing the play and asking about the meeting.
By the time that was over, we were already butting up against the time we were supposed to meet their friends to lift tonight. We hadn't eaten dinner but they offered to feed me at their place which was perfect. We went straight back and holy shit their homemade leftovers were delicious.
Their friends came on time to lift and the first thing out of the mouth of the one who knows me better was "you and [redacted] have really been spending a lot of time together huh?" The two of us made eye contact and kinda laughed and BFR said "yep" and both made the 😬 face and the friend wouldn't let it go and repeated "you guys spend all day together now..." and my 😬 face couldn't get any more intense and he said "all day... today..." i said "yep we're pretty codependent." (I'd made the same not-joke yesterday when I was very truly pointing out that I don't remember what to do with my alone time anymore, and they not-jokingly replied "yeah we've ruined each other." Which like. At least we're aware.) Only later did I realize that BFR mustve been talking to the friend about it bc I definitely wasn't and there was no public talk about it in our shared discord so 👀 bitch i see u chatting in private abt me.
Lifting was incredible as always. Their friends who are a decade younger than us and sometimes join us, sometimes don't, really crack me up and I have such a good rapport with one of the guys that I think I lift better with him around (the one who was giving us a hard time tonight). He dishes out the abuse I give him while lifting, which I love. Between him and bfr, I feel like a fucking all-star lifter in that little garage gym. They talk positively about my form when they don't even realize I can hear them. Even so, BFR will not hesitate to call me out when a lift looks bad or I need a cue.
So yeah. It's nice. Hanging out at their place, being fed, getting let in on a LOT more inner details than I got in the first months of knowing them. That's all lovely. I always try to text them and let them know when I've had a lot of fun with them, and that's just basically turned into a nightly check-in. On Sunday, I got a very coworkery (imo) message from them about enjoying our time together, thanking me for my "wonderful company," thanking me for spending so much time together, thanking me for attending so many events with them, and saying that they are "definitely down to keep hanging out in the future." At the time I felt like "that's a weirdly formal way to put all this" but getting home to tonight's much more neurotic message made it make more sense (along w the feedback from a trusted friend who makes good points). Like it was a careful message because they are being exceedingly careful with me. They know some of my more obvious damage (all the psychic sucking chest wounds are hard to ignore after a few weeks of learning about me, and i've been going out of my way to be quite "warts and all" with them). They value our time together A LOT. And the more that I understand our similarities, the more I know that they're also likely really fucking scared to endanger the chemistry of this friendship by introducing ANY other dynamic.
Im finally getting to the end here. Tumblr will probably eat this entry. I'm posting it before a full edit--RIP anyone parsing this.
But the message that I came home to tonight was FINALLY a little more vulnerable, and essentially said that if I want to spend LESS time with them, I'm going to have to tell them that straight up, and that that'll be ok, but if so they need to lnow because this is the amount of time they want to spend with me (all of it), and they don't anticipate that changing.
So! Guess I'll puke and die now! Literally spent five minutes last night considering how I could smuggle them to Colorado with me. Also I haven't had anywhere to put this but since this is an all-bfr all the time blog now, we are going to go on a trip together to chicago in August! There's an actual reason to go other than lovefest vacation (pretty much a work trip for them that I've been asked to tag along for) but as we are actually finalizing the trip plans, it definitely feels more than a little bit like we are going on a lovefest vacation. Which is all the more reason why it would be great to not be hella conspicuous (even though it's a little fun being hella conspicuous).
Like I didn't need another human to come validate my existence, but I *did* need to meet someone who could threaten the idea that I'm ready to die alone. It's nice. It's all nice!! I'm definitely not crying and throwing up!!!

Hwang Hyunjin messes with your head, unknowingly, for over a month. Until you can't take it anymore.
*✧・゚: *✧・゚:
Growing up with Chris Bang as your best friend had it's perks - a permanent bodyguard, a shoulder to cry on... and seven other boys who also became your best friends as you grew up together.
Week in, week out, your routine stayed the same. Study, go to class and patiently wait to attend your regular Friday evening home cooked meal with your friends. You just couldn't wait to graduate and start working, to rid yourself of exams and finally start earning some proper money like the boys.
Desperate to put some light back into your mundane, studious life, Chris forces you to start blind dating. Two miserable dates down and ready to murder the man, someone completely unexpected appears and makes a mess of your orderly life.
And a mess he does make.

chapter five
It was time . You were getting deja vu from looking at yourself in the mirror before your third date, picking apart your appearance. You were so nervous you didn't know what to do with yourself. After two disasters, you don't know what you'd do if your third date was somehow worse. You were wearing a plain black mini skirt, a black corset top and a sleek white button down shirt over the top. You loved this outfit, and your makeup had turned out surprisingly well. You wore your hair down straight as usual and you did your finishing touches before grabbing your keys and going to catch your taxi.
You called Chan in the taxi as the distance to the place you were going was around a fifteen minute drive. He answered after a couple rings.
"Sup kid! You on your way?" He greeted you with his usual cheery voice.
"Yep, in the taxi right now. I'm only going to tell you once, Christopher, but if this date flops I'm coming straight to yours to kill you dead."
"Might not want to do that, kiddo. I have company," he says, and you can almost see him raising his eyebrows from the tone of his voice.
"Okay, gross. At least one of us is getting lucky tonight, though," you said with a grimace.
"You never know! Okay, gotta head. Get head, either or. Anyway, love you, have fun!"
"Wrap it before you tap it dick face," you say fake gagging before hanging up the call.
You finally get to the restaurant and your jaw almost drops. You thank your driver and step out of the car, eyeing up the building as you enter. It's even more gorgeous than the other place you were at. It was filled with forest green and black glossy marble, with real trees and water features inside for decoration. The ceiling was literal glass, so you could see the night sky above you. It was probably the most beautiful, high class place you had ever been in.
"Hi there, it's table 34?" You said to the hostess. She smiled and led you to the table. As you reached the table, you couldn't help but feel that the head of hair sitting in the chair in front of you was all too familiar.
"Hyunjin?" You said confusedly, as the man you call one of your best friends stands up and greets you with a confused look.
"Princess? Funny seeing you here," he said. You couldn't help but eye him up, and god did he look amazing. His black hair was styled in a gorgeous way - it came up to just below his jawline since he'd cut it, with a couple front pieces hanging in front of his face. He was wearing a black shirt, blazer and trousers, with a silver chain round his neck and his signature silver rings adorned on his fingers. He pulled out the chair opposite his for you to sit on and you sat down slowly, more than confused.
"What the fuck? Oh my god, I'm going to kill Chris for this," you shook your head laughing. Hyunjin sat down opposite you and looked at you, waiting for you to continue. "Obviously he's just done this as a joke, to give me a break from all the horrible dates."
"Yeah, he must have. He set me up on a blind date too and I had no idea it would be you," he said with a small smile.
"Anyway, I'm just thankful I don't have to put up with another idiot. We can actually relax and have fun rather than be anxious for whatever blind date we were expecting," you said, instantly calming down and settling. You opened the menu and chose your meal, as did Hyunjin.
"And I'll have a mojito with that, please," you say to the waitress.
"Just a glass of water, thank you," Hyunjin said and she walked away with your menus.
"Are you driving?" You ask, taking into account the fact he didn't ask for alcohol.
"Yeah, so I can drop you home later if you'd like. I also don't really drink alcohol anymore, so," he replies. You can't help but think about how gorgeous he looks right now, those beautiful brown eyes with their adorable eye creases looking down at you.
"I noticed that. You're not the party animal you were at nineteen anymore, Jinnie," you say.
"I grew up, I guess. I can't say I miss those times. I'm surprised you're still my friend after some of the things I did back then."
"Do you remember that time we went on a trip and all played the pepero game and the loser had to swim in the ocean? And of course I lost, because I was the only girl, and you were the one who wouldn't let me back out of it?" You recalled a not so fond memory with a laugh. You had been furious at Hyunjin who was relentless in making you carry out your punishment.
"I felt bad about that the next morning - I was so drunk I didn't even realise how cold the ocean was at the time. I remember dipping my hand in and thinking it was fine but you came out with your teeth chittering. I felt awful," he said with a pout.
"I could tell, because you let me wear your favourite jumper over my soaking wet clothes to warm me up," you remembered. It was the least he could do.
"You still wear that jumper sometimes," he says warmly. You enjoyed this a lot, talking with Hyunjin about your memories together and not having to worry about forcing conversation as it just came naturally with your friend.
"Yeah I do, it's actually one of my favourites now. Maybe it's cause of the amazing memory attached to it," you said sarcastically. The waitress came back with your drinks and you couldn't help but notice how she gave Hyunjin a once over as she handed him his glass of water before she walked away with a swing in her step.
"She totally just looked you up and down, you know," you said to him. He raised one of his eyebrows at you after taking a sip of his drink.
"Did she? I didn't notice," he said, placing it back down on the table.
"Watch her when she brings out your food. She's pretty, too. You know, if you'd rather be spending your Saturday night elsewhere-"
"I wouldn't. I'm enjoying myself here, I wouldn't want to be elsewhere," he cut you off abruptly, frowning and shaking his head. That gave you a bit of reassurance. You'd felt bad for him that his night had been taken over with Chan's idiocy.
"So how's the CEO life been treating you recently?" You ask him, trying your drink. It was delicious, but you could really taste the alcohol. You were glad for Hyunjin giving you a ride home later.
"Same old. It's like working a 9-5 twice in one day, every day, all week. Everyone comes to either Chan and I for the final decision for things, and then whoever they went to, they go to the other person for a second opinion. Most of the time we have the same opinion, but every so often there's something we don't agree on and that causes problems," he explains, relieving his stresses of work into you. "Chan can be pretty stubborn sometimes, but most of the time I end up agreeing with him. Im glad I have him as my partner, cause I really couldn't do it alone."
"It sounds hectic. I don't know if I've ever told you, but you really inspire me. Like, you had an idea of what you wanted to do with your life and you didn't stop until you achieved it. Hell, you still don't stop even now," you laugh. "Ew, that got really deep and cringe. But you know what I mean. I could never do what you do - I'd be a mess."
"Hey hey hey, don't sell yourself short - you study harder than anyone I've met to be able to do well. But yeah, I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me," he laughs, shaking his head. It's weird, you and Hyunjin were close, but you weren't the type to ever get sappy with each other. Not like you and Chan who were always telling each other you loved each other. Or you and Felix, who showed your love for one another with physical affection. Even Jeongin showed you a fair amount of affection - and he hated affection.
You and Hyunjin were just never like that, really. You showed your friendship through subtle digs at each other, which were only ever surface level. You could only explain it with the fact that you both knew your friendship was good, so you could joke with each other in a mean way and never get mad at each other for it for too long.
"I know, I just still don't really know what I want to do with my life. Anyway, your new trainee group - you know, Kyung, Alexander and the rest of them - I was watching their dance practice the other day and they're really talented," you said, changing the topic to one more lighthearted. "They're a bunch of little shits though, they're so cheeky."
"Are they? I've only spoken to them a couple times and they're really respectful to me," he said with a surprised look.
"That's just cause they're scared of CEO Mr. Hwang," you laugh and he rolls his eyes.
"When were you watching their dance practice?" He asks.
"I was just chilling with Felix while he was teaching them the other day. Sometimes when I'm bored of being lonely studying in my room I'll sit with Seungmin or Lix and watch their lessons. Chan said it was alright as long as I didn't distract them," you explained.
"Oh," is all he said, as if he was deep in thought.
"I'm sorry if you didn't know about it! I can stop if you feel like it's too distracting, or -"
"No, it's not that. It's just that you've never visited me at work before," he said. You were taken aback, not only at his words but and the sincere look he had on his face.
"Oh. Sorry, I guess I just always assumed you had important stuff going on and you wouldn't want to be interrupted."
He gave you a smirk and you rolled your eyes, an instant reaction.
"I've always got important stuff, but that doesn't mean I don't want to be interrupted," he said, and for some reason his words made your stomach flip. You didn't have time to dwell on it though, as the waitress came back with your food. She placed yours down and you thanked her, but she didn't even acknowledge you. Instead, she gave Hyunjin his food and smiled at him sweetly.
"Anything else I can get for you?" She asked, directing the question to him only. Hyunjin looked at you with a strange expression before turning to the waitress.
"I'm okay, but my girlfriend would love another drink," he said with a fake smile. The waitress almost did a double take at Hyunjin's boldness, but only nodded and walked away. Your jaw was practically six feet under.
"What the hell was that?" You laughed, unable to contain the hilarity of what he'd just done.
"The way she ignored you pissed me off. Just wanted to see her reaction, is all," Hyunjin said lazily, as if he hadn't just called you his girlfriend in front of the waitress who was flirting with him. You both starting eating your food, smiling in satisfaction.
"Okay, but you didn't need to do that. You could have gone home with her later if you'd played your cards differently."
"Is that really what you think of me, princess?" He asked. You looked at him to see the expression on his face and you swear he almost looked hurt.
"I didn't mean to insinuate anything. I don't know, is that not how you are? I know you don't really talk about relationships and things half as much as the other boys anymore, but I just assumed since Chris -"
"I'm not Chris," is all he said for a couple seconds. "And my days of random hookups are way beyond me, trust. There's more to life than that."
You nodded in understand, but you were so unsure of why he felt the need to explain himself to you.
"Okay, sorry. I didn't mean to pry," you apologised with a small smile. "What has gotten into us today? This is the kindest we've been to each other since you took me to my senior dance when my date ditched me."
He laughed, remember the event. It was your last year of high school, and the same year you had met Hyunjin. You were eighteen and Hyunjin was nineteen at the time. Your senior year friends, Felix, Seungmin and Jisung, were all taking their crushes to the dance. You had been asked by another boy in your class, but last minute he decided to ditch it.
You'd asked Chris if he could take you, but he was busy that night so couldn't. So, last minute, Hwang Hyunjin who you had only met a couple of months prior, turned up at your doorstep in a suit with a corsage. Chan had practically forced him to take you, apparently, but the thought still counts.
"That was actually a really fun night. I probably enjoyed it better than my own senior dance."
"Really? Why," you asked.
"Mostly cause I was high and don't remember it," was his answer. You laugh, remembering how Hyunjin was as a teen. He acted first and thought second, always.
"You're so different now to what you used to be like," you said. "How long have we known eachother now, like, six years? You've changed so much."
"In what way?" He asks with a half smirk.
"You're just much more calm. You don't get drunk or high anymore, you work hard and you're actually nice to me these days. Well, sometimes," you say.
He nods his head to the side as if to say, 'yeah, true.' At this point you had both finished your food, and you'd realised that the waitress hadn't got you the drink that Hyunjin had asked for. When you told him this, he raised his eyebrows.
"Do you want me to ask for it?" He said seriously.
"No it's just a drink," you replied, waving your hand. "Don't worry about it. Why don't we just get the bill and head home?"
Hyunjin looked away from you for a split second before nodding his head and leaning back in his chair.
"Yeah, okay," he agreed.
"Okay, cool. I'm gonna go to the toilet quickly," you told him, taking your bag and heading towards the sign for the bathrooms. You couldn't help but be in awe of the bathrooms in the restaurant, and you wondered how expensive the meal would be. Chris had reimbursed you for the date you had to pay for yourself, and he'd given you some money for tonight's date, but you didn't think it would be enough for your half of the bill. You washed your hands and left the bathroom to find Hyunjin standing at the door of the restaurant on his phone. He looked up at you and smiled.
"Ready to go?" He asked. You gave him a confused look.
"But what about the bill?"
"Don't worry about it, I've already paid. And I know what you're like, but let me treat you just this once. You deserve it for putting up with those dates the last week," he explained and the two of you started to walk out of the restaurant. You noticed how he held the door for you, and all the other little things he'd done that made your heart warm. What the fuck, you thought to yourself. You had no idea why you were starting to feel this way - it was as if your ridiculous 18 year old crush on the handsome new boy in your friend group had revived itself.
"But it must have been really expensive for you to pay yourself," you countered.
"Please, princess, don't argue for once," he said as he used his keys to unlock his car. Your stomach flipped. Again. You genuinely wanted to kick yourself. You're friend had given you a nice meal out, and it wasn't as if you hadn't done this kind of thing with the other boys. You regularly went out for meals with the others, a lot of the time just you and one of the boys, and you had no idea why you were starting to feel the way you were feeling. What was the difference?
"Okay, fine, but next time I pay," you say, and you have never wanted the ground to swallow you more.
"Next time?" Hyunjin asks slyly, the biggest smirk on his lips. You push him before he can get into the drivers seat of his car and he stumbles, laughing.
"Shut up, you know what I meant. Don't twist it," you said, and you could feel your face going so red.
You fell into a comfortable silence as you got into his car and started towards your apartments.
"I've been thinking," Hyunjin said after a while. "You want Chan to stop making you go on dates, but he wants you to find someone to make you happy and give you something to take your mind of exams, right?"
"Mhm," you said lazily, staring out the window.
"Why don't you just say you've met someone you like so he gets off your back?"
You looked over to him with a raised eyebrow and he gave you a look before turning back to the road.
"Yeah, I guess. But I would feel bad for lying about it. And he will instantly know if I lie," you say.
"But you won't be lying really, just saying your going out with someone else," he tries to explain.
"I'm really not following," you don't understand what he's getting at and he rolls his eyes.
"You'll say you've met someone you like and you're going on dates, Chan gets off your ass, but really it will just be me and you going out and doing stuff," he explains again. Wait, what? Going out with him?
"You want to take me out?" You ask surprised.
"Don't say it like that, I meant just to help you get out of the whole dating thing."
"I just don't get why you'd want to do that," you ask.
"If Felix was offering this to you, would you have a problem saying yes?" Hyunjin asked all of a sudden, and it made you think. If it was Felix, or Jeongin, or really any of the other boys who had offered to take you out to avoid having to date random men to please Chris, would you hesitate before thanking them and agreeing? Realistically, you'd be over the moon to have a way out of your situation, so why was it any different with Hyunjin?
"Okay, yeah. Thankyou," you said to him. "I guess I won't be lying, I just won't tell him who I'm going out with."
You saw a smile play on Hyunjin's lips as he pulled up outside your apartment. You started to thank him for the lift home and opened your door to get out, but Hyunjin opened his door and walked out too.
"You planning on inviting yourself in?" You raise your eyebrows and ask.
"No, idiot, I'm just walking you to your door," he says as he follows behind you whilst you walk up to your apartment.
"I can walk up a flight of stairs myself, you know."
"Sure, but what if you get murdered between leaving my car and entering your apartment? I would be the first suspect and get taken to jail, and my company would be ruined," he says so seriously.
You roll your eyes as you put the keys in your lock and open the door to your apartment. Before you go in, you turn to Hyunjin with a smile.
"Thanks, Jinnie. That was my best date by miles. You're really saving my life right now," you smiled. He only shrugged his shoulders and smiled, saying his goodbyes and heading back downstairs.
You went to bed that night with a strange feeling. Your head was swimming with thoughts of Hyunjin, and you didn't know what to do about it.

30 Day Song(fic) Challenge: Day 10
Good evening! I'm officially a third of the way through this challenge, and I have to say, I am learning a lot. I'm also writing more varied ships than I ever have before, which is super fun!
Today's prompt for my Song(fic) Challenge was "A song you never get tired of", for which there could only ever be one true contender. You see, back in the summer of 2018, I had a phase where I listened to the song "As the World Falls Down" by David Bowie (from the movie Labyrinth) on repeat for literally hours every day for months straight. It was ridiculous, and it proved that I truly could never get tired of that song.
A note on this one! In this fic, Sheik is genderfluid. I am not genderfluid myself, so if my characterization is off or in some way disrespectful, please feel free to give concrit in the comments!
A Love that Lasts a Lifetime
Game: Ocarina of Time, post-canon, adult timeline
Pairing: Sheik/Malon
Word Count: 1525
Keywords: romance, yearning while dancing, angst
Jagged breaths puffed into Malon’s face, blowing back the flyaways that had come free of her crown of braids. Tears tracked down Sheik’s own cheeks. Malon wanted more than anything to wipe them away, but the terror that breaking from their dance would shatter the moment kept her frozen in their slow spiral.  “You can give me a love that lasts a lifetime,” Sheik whispered.
Read the fic on Ao3, or under the cut!
It was the fourth ball in as many moons. Malon would’ve thought the expense extravagant, overly-indulgent, but Sheik had been putting twice as much of the royal coffers—what remained of them, anyway—into helping the people with evacuations, building a new fleet of ships so each town could have at least one, and providing provisions for any citizen, regardless of whether or not they planned to flee Hyrule. She’d asked Sheik, during a break between breathless reels during the third ball, why he was putting so much effort towards such frivolous things.
“Because the people have so little to hope for, and so little time remaining before their lives change forever. I want to give them something frivolous and dazzling to look forward to and enjoy.”
His sentiment was beautiful, the words altruistic. But Malon knew they were at least partially fueled by guilt. Because on another evening, when Malon and Sheik had sat beside one another on a castle balcony in their nightgowns, on a rare night between rainstorms, she had told Malon that it was her fault. That the goddesses were flooding the world because there was no hero. And that there was no hero because she had sent him back in time.
The words had poured out through helpless sobs. All Sheik had wanted at the time was to let her lover escape the trauma he’d been put through in this broken Hyrule, to free him from the yoke of rebuilding after everything else he’d done. She’d thought that evil surely wouldn’t rise again in her lifetime; after everything, it ought to have been sealed away for a generation or more, and the worst she’d have to deal with would be the desperate poverty of the citizenry and her own lack of political training.
And yet, here they were, with darkness, and the water sent to quench it, already rising.
And here Malon was, holding Sheik in her arms as they danced.
Hyrule’s leader was stunning that night. Malon had always thought so, even when Sheik was nothing more to her than a skinny sixteen-year-old boy, knocking on the barn door with an offer to trade news of the world outside the farm’s fences for milk and company. Now, as the de facto leader of their broken kingdom—although not the Queen, never the Queen, or King for that matter—spun out from Malon and back, the sea foam green of her last remaining dress contrasting beautifully against her strawberry blonde hair.
Malon just had to pretend not to notice the irony of the watery dress swirling around Sheik’s ankles like the incoming tide, and the moment would be perfect.
The band was little more than a wind quintet, with the addition of a single frazzled percussionist trying to cover every part at once. The size of each ensemble had dwindled alongside the elegance of the decor and the number of attendees. That evening’s ball had only the ballroom’s intrinsic architectural opulence and majesty to dazzle its few dozen guests—a far cry from the first, which had been packed to the brim with hundreds of attendees from every possible background.
As if reading her thoughts—or perhaps simply following Malon’s gaze around the room—Sheik murmured, “My father would be so ashamed, if he could see where we are now.”
Malon’s hand clenched on Sheik’s waist for a nearly imperceptible moment. “Your father could do no better than you have, put in the same situation. And if he tried to judge you for your kindness and persistence, I would be the first to throw him out.”
Sheik laughed lowly, and then sighed. “Perhaps you’re right. It does no good to dwell on it, regardless.”
Mirrored by dancing couples all around, she dipped Malon back, and gently pulled her back upright. Through it all, Malon couldn’t look away from Sheik’s eyes. One blue, one red. Two priceless jewels, gleaming with melancholy.
Malon couldn’t remember a time Sheik’s eyes hadn’t held that reserved sadness. At their first meeting, she had imagined it to be loneliness; after learning of Sheik’s true identity, she’d thought it loss; when Sheik had crumpled into her arms with the weeping words that Link was gone, never to return, she’d known it heartbreak; as he received the first dream from the goddesses of what was to come, she’d seen it to be despair. And through all the shades of Sheik’s sadness, Malon stayed by their side: first as an uncommon companion, then as a loyal confidante, and later, as the years passed, as an unspoken beau.
To love Sheik was to hold their sadness in the palm of your hand, and offer them a warm place to store their smiles.
The dancers paused, upright, to applaud as the sextet finished the piece. They truly were talented. Malon wasn’t sure why they had decided to go down with the ship of their kingdom—or at least remain with it even this far into the flooding—rather than boarding one that could keep them safe, but she found herself grateful for their choice.
The string bass thrummed them into a waltz. Or perhaps merely an odd slow dance—the tempo was slow and measured, the sound dreamy, but Malon counted four beats to a measure rather than the standard three.
Whatever it was, she liked it. If she were a song, she’d be an odd one, too.
She felt Sheik draw closer. “You’re humming. Did you know?”
Malon had not.
“It’s charming. I love your musicality.” Sheik paused, and added, wistfully, “It’s been a very long time since I heard you sing.”
“Has it?” Malon was shocked. Was she really so departed from the girl who would sing in the horse pastures every night until the moon was high overhead? “I like singing for you. You would only need to ask.”
“That’s precisely why I haven’t. How could I ask for more than you’ve already given me?”
The melancholy in Sheik’s gaze was stronger now, mixed with something Malon feared to name, and ached for in equal measure. It was a knife twisting below her ribs, the caress of a feather on her cheek.
They’d been dancing around far more than a ballroom for so long.
Malon took a breath, and felt it catch in the tightness of her throat. “You know, they say the moon controls the tides.”
Sheik’s brows furrowed in amused puzzlement at the non sequitur. “I have heard that, yes.” She paused, and her mouth twisted wry and razor-sharp. “Do you think the moon is the one doing the goddess’s bidding, hailing the Flood?”
Dammit, that was not what Malon was trying to lead to. “If it is, it’s a traitor.”
Sheik’s responding hum was light and noncommittal. Malon could have screamed. Instead, she smiled, and effortlessly switched the flow of their movements so she was the one leading their dance. Sheik’s lips curved in surprise, and then affection.
With Malon in the lead, she widened their circle until they were at the very edge of the room, beside the glass doors that would lead to the balcony, if they hadn’t been closed against yet another torrential downpour. The sound of the rain was louder here, blending into the slow sweetness of the band. It offered cover for any lovers who wished to whisper amongst themselves.
“I would give you the moon, if I could,” Malon murmured.
Sheik’s eyes widened. “Malon…”
“Please, Sheik, don’t you think we’ve kept it to ourselves long enough?”
“I…” Her expression was conflicted, but Sheik didn’t argue. Malon forged ahead.
“I know you feel responsible for all of this, and that you believe you deserve nothing good or beautiful yourself, even as you do your best to ensure it for everyone else. I won’t take your guilt from you—that’s yours to do what you will with. But I would give you everything, if I could. Golden mornings, if I could chase away the rain. The stars themselves, if I had the strength to pull them down.” She took a steadying breath. “More than anything, I want to give you a love that will last. It breaks my heart that we…that we won’t…”
She couldn’t eke out any further words beyond the boulder weighing heavily in her throat.
The length of Sheik’s body brushed hers, and clung close. She felt her arms wrap more securely around her waist and back. The sensations lit up her nerves like kindling, and yet she could spare them hardly a moment of attention, because Sheik had just leaned her forehead against Malon’s own.
Joy, joy that strummed her heartstrings until they twinged and broke. She knew what Sheik was offering. She knew what they would never be allowed to give.
She broke the dance.
“Until the world falls down.”
Lips locked in the rain-streaked night.

Let's (re)Read The Eye of the World! Chapter 2: Strangers
Tumblr media
Hello and welcome back to the madness that is me. As usual (three times in a row totally counts), I am rereading The Eye of the World and I am spoiling the crap out of everything so you should run away if you're not into that. Thanks and have a good one!
To the rest of you, thanks for staying, let's get started. This chapter begins with the raven icon, which is often used to symbolize those allied with the Shadow or the Seanchan, which is really such a glowing review of them, isn't it? Here it's being used to refer to the evildoers Moiraine and-- Wait no that's Whitecloak talk. It's being used to refer to the dear, sweet, innocent raven whose only crime was watching Rand and refusing to be killed for it.
At that time of the busy day before Festival, Rand expected to find the common room empty except for Bran and his father and the cat, but four more members of the Village Council, including Cenn, sat in high-backed chairs in front of the fire, mugs in hand and blue-gray pipesmoke wreathing their heads.
I wonder now about how the Village Council gets chosen and how Cenn Buie keeps his seat if it's anything other than "life positions for certain families".
though who knew what Taren Ferry folk really thought about anything?
I'm glad Jordan put in so much effort to make Rand so incredibly provincial when in about ten chapters we'll be past Taren Ferry and he'll never get a chance to look back.
“It’s old Luhhan,” Mat said, peering past Rand’s shoulder into the common room. “I think he suspects I was the one who—”
Dammit Mat just confess to your crimes so I can laugh at you for them!
She was one of the few married women in the area who never tried to play matchmaker with Tam.
Yeah, if she gets him married, then when Tam dies of old age Rand and Egwene have to take care of the new widow al'Thor!
If she occasionally looked at him as if she wanted to do more, at least she took it no further than looks, for which he was deeply grateful.
Rand, you and Egwene are basically already promised to each other according to the retcons, of course she's not putting in effort. She thinks she's already won.
"Nothing, really. I told Adan al’Caar and some of his snot-nosed friends—Ewin Finngar and Dag Coplin—that some farmers had seen ghost hounds, breathing fire and running through the woods."
I guess this is the local name for Darkhounds, or Jordan was gonna straight up go with ghosts at the time. Were they supposed to be literal ghosts, or just the third age interpretation of whatever modifications Aginor made?
“I hear she chased old Luhhan and the dogs, all three, out of the house with a broom.”
Poor Luhhan, getting blamed for shit he had nothing to do with. I wonder if Perrin tries to model his marriage after this, where he assumes Faile is acting like Alsbet and gets to be hot-tempered and low-key violent but he is supposed to go with it. Really both of these couples should try and model their relationships off of some healthier couple, preferably in an entirely different story.
The years separating Rand and Mat from Ewin, only fourteen, were usually more than enough for them to give short shrift to anything he had to say.
Ah okay so the boys are definitely MEANT to be 16, probably more, but they really don't feel like they could be older than 16 so *shrug*.
Maybe southern boys are hella immature for their age or were in Jordan's childhood. *insert completely unfounded rant about the toxicity of 'boys will be boys' based entirely on this supposition without the slightest bit of research done because I'm an expert on everything by default*
“Of course I could see his face. And his cloak is green. Or maybe gray. It changes. It seems to fade into wherever he’s standing. Sometimes you don’t see him even when you look right at him, not unless he moves. And hers is blue, like the sky, and ten times fancier than any feastday clothes I ever saw. She’s ten times prettier than anybody I ever saw, too. She’s a high-born lady, like in the stories. She must be.”
Oh thank fuck, the grown-ups are here! Lan and Moiraine are not the perfect mentors that they sometimes get mistaken as, but they try twice as hard as most and that goes a long way. Shame about the whole "beauty equals nobility" thing going on, but since Ewin said it and not the narration I'll assume he's rightfully crushing on her.
“They arrived last evening,”
So they got here before Thom and were traveling at decent hours. Was he trying to follow them? Doesn't seem quite right, does it? Was he trying to AVOID them?
It was a good five years since the last time a real stranger appeared in Emond’s Field, and he had been trying to hide from some sort of trouble up in Baerlon that nobody in the village understood.
I wonder what the guy did. Or was he a channeler trying to hide from himself?
“She asked the Wisdom for directions this morning,” Ewin said, “and called her ‘child.’ ”
Poor Moiraine, sticking her foot right into it. Didn't even mean to, of course, but that's the problem with having a standard mode of address for unimportant young'ins: when they become important, there's no good way to tell, is there? Almost like you should treat everyone respectfully regardless of perceived differences, but what do I know?
When Cenn Buie called her a child last year, she thumped him on the head with her stick, and he’s on the Village Council, and old enough to be her grandfather, besides.
Yes but even hyper-violent Nynaeve knows you can't just beat the shit out of guests Rand. She's not axe-crazy; that's Perrin.
Then something led him to turn around, to raise his eyes. On the edge of the inn’s tile roof perched a large raven, swaying a little in the gusting wind from the mountains. Its head was cocked to one side, and one beady, black eye was focused . . . on him, he thought.
I don't think we see ravens pulling much crap after this book, do we? It's hard to view them as a serious threat when the protagonists are capable of doing more than missing with thrown stones and when even Trollocs rapidly become cannon fodder.
Fancier than any feastday clothes, Ewin had said, and he was right. No one ever dressed like that in the Two Rivers. Not ever.
Frankly I doubt the whole Two Rivers could combine their net worth for the clothes, let alone the jewelry.
Ewin leaped forward before either of the others could speak.
If it weren't for the fact that it isn't how it works, I'd assume she was trying to compel the boys and Ewin somehow got caught in the cross-fire. But again, the weave doesn't really work like that.
Then again, it's the first book, and the boys seem to "wake up" later like they're all being compelled... Guess she hit Ewin on purpose not to leave him out, and he was hit hardest.
Rand had been wondering if he should do something of the sort, the way men did in stories, but with Mat’s example, he merely spoke his name. At least he did not stumble over his own tongue this time.
The Wheel makes sure that the king of the world doesn't bow, I suppose.
“You cannot be expected to work for nothing. Consider this a token, and keep it with you, so you will remember that you have agreed to come to me when I ask it. There is a bond between us now.”
I feel like this is another early bookism, though an easily dismissed one - I think Jordan intended this wording and the boys' acceptance to be part of making the bond spell work, though going forward such things are much less necessary.
Her smile did fade then, slowly, as if something had been recalled to her. For a moment she merely looked at him. “I am a student of history,” she said at last, “a collector of old stories. This place you call the Two Rivers has always interested me. Sometimes I study the stories of what happened here long ago, here and at other places.”
This isn't Moiraine's first half-truth to dodge the lie restriction (telling Ewin "We'll see" after his invite is a half-truth so common even non-Aes Sedai use it), but it is a big one and an interesting one. She likely did have to study history both in Cairhien and the Tower, so that explains her student claim. Studying the DR means she's probably looked over the Karatheon Cycle and many similar documents, hence collector.
But has she always been interested in the Two Rivers? Obviously this can't be LITERALLY true (or can it? Did a very young Moiraine wonder about the place that all the grown-up men in her life said had the best tobacco?), so when did her eyes turn to it? When she learned about Manetheren? It's exactly the kind of story the Jedi would teach her.
Men wear many names, many faces. Different faces, but always the same man.
And here she almost outright tells them what's up! She's getting hit hard by Rand and Mat's combined ta'verening.
It was as if he were weighing them in his mind, and there was no sign on his face of what the scales told him.
Two minutes later:
Lan: So it's the Aiel kid.
Moiraine: Maybe.
Lan: It's obviously the Aiel kid. Explains why your list didn't find him twenty years ago: no one wrote down that some Aiel gal had a baby.
Moiraine: What if he's a decoy?
Lan: Why would there even be a decoy?
Moiraine: The Wheel weaves, Lan.
Lan: If you say that to me one more time I'm just gonna go kidnap the Aiel kid myself and take him to the Amyrlin.
Moiraine: The spring on the green is probably quite chilly in this unnatural winter. It would sure be awful if someone magically relocated it on top of you.
Lan: ...
Lan: It's still the Aiel kid. Think I'll teach him how to use swords. That would be funny to see.
Anyway, Warders have swords and armor covered in gold and jewels, and spend all their time up north, in the Great Blight, fighting evil and Trollocs and such.
Statistically, most Warders spend all their time down south, fighting lady bits and pubic hair and such. With their tongues.
If it weren't for the Yellows I'd call Greens the greatest failure of an Ajah since Mat very accurately describes what they SHOULD be doing. In fact, while with the text as written it's obviously one of those "truth becomes fiction in the retelling" things that pops up a lot, I suspect that it was intended to be an accurate description that fell by the wayside as Aes Sedai politics were defined.
He did not recognize the fat silver coin with the raised image of a woman balancing a single flame on her upturned hand
Y'all really are provincial hicks if you get coins that so obviously scream "The Official Currency of the Witch-Papal Queendom" and don't even speculate it might be from the region, if nothing else.
Strangers and a gleeman, fireworks and a peddler. It was going to be the best Bel Tine ever.
Spoiler alert: It was going to be the worst Bel Tine ever.
And that's another chapter! I would like to rewatch more of episode 1 and comment on the differences in the introductions of Lan and Moiraine, but my Fire Cube is having some hilarious technical difficulties where it's playing the episode at a rate of one frame a second right now, even though it plays the episode PREVIEW (and Futurama on Hulu) properly, so I can't go too in-depth, which means I only have one thought to give and it's sadly negative:
Nynaeve, you massive idiot (shhhh not you Zoë Robins, it's the script writers' fault and probably the Amazon execs for forcing so much cut time, you're doing great though, keep it up), inns are exactly where reputable strangers are supposed to show up! Be more like your book incarnation and have a tiny inclination against threatening out of towners!
Episode 1 is going to be rough to get through even if I do get it working at the proper frame rate.

Have fun!
-
Sanemi with a giggly S/O
-
First day
-
He never really talked to you before you were in the relationship, so he most likely didnt know about your "giggles", though he likely overheard it a few times until the first day of your relationship, and if you were in the relationship. He was already setting off for a mission by the time you had your "Giggles".
At that time he was likely looking for his swordsmaker to sharpen it for him.
"𝚈/𝙽, 𝙸'𝚖 𝚋𝚊𝚌𝚔. 𝚄𝚐𝚑, 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚝𝚘𝚘𝚔 𝚕𝚘𝚗𝚐𝚎𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚒𝚝 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚜𝚞𝚙𝚙𝚘𝚜𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚘."
"𝚂𝚊𝚗𝚎𝚖𝚒!" 𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚎𝚍 𝚙𝚞𝚕𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚑𝚒𝚖 𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚘 𝚊 𝚑𝚞𝚐
He really liked your hugs, he found a lot of comfort in them.. But oh boy, what happens next is totally gonna confuse the poor boy.
"𝙸𝚝'𝚜 𝚗𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚕𝚢 𝚗𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝, 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚜𝚞𝚗𝚜 𝚊𝚕𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚢 𝚜𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐! 𝙹𝚎𝚎𝚣 𝚌𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍𝚗𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚋𝚎𝚎𝚗 𝚏𝚊𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚛!!?" 𝚂𝚊𝚗𝚎𝚖𝚒 𝚜𝚊𝚒𝚍, 𝚋𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚠𝚊𝚢 𝚏𝚛𝚘𝚖 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚑𝚞𝚐
𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚔𝚗𝚎𝚠 𝚒𝚝 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝙳𝙴𝙵𝙸𝙽𝙸𝚃𝙴𝙻𝚈 𝚠𝚊𝚜𝚗𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎 𝚋𝚞𝚝 𝚒𝚝 𝚠𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚢 𝚖𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝚑𝚒𝚖 𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚒𝚎𝚛! "𝙷𝚎𝚑𝚎.. 𝙾𝚑 𝚂𝚊𝚗𝚎𝚖𝚒.." 𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚗 𝚋𝚎𝚐𝚊𝚗 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚘𝚞𝚜 𝚐𝚒𝚐𝚐𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐!
He was honestly confused why you were laughing.. I would be too..
The first time this happened he just.. Thought there was something on him so he kept asking you and you couldn't stop giggling!
A few minutes go by and he thinks you'd be done by now, but nope! Still laughing!
"𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚍𝚘𝚗𝚎? 𝚆𝚑𝚢 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚗 𝚕𝚊𝚞𝚐𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐!? 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝𝚜 𝚜𝚘 𝚏𝚞𝚌𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚏𝚞𝚗𝚗𝚢!?"
Even him getting mad at you for it made you laugh even more! He just groaned and walked away, checking on you every few minutes being like.. "You done?"
-
Second day
-
He came back from a very long training session, this was the first time he really was tired from it since he pushed past his limits, Though he wouldn't admit it.
He laid down somewhere with you just holding you in his arms, Ever so quietly.. Until you started laughing again!
"𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝'𝚜 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚕𝚊𝚞𝚐𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢 𝚗𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝? 𝙸𝚝𝚜 𝚜𝚘 𝚊𝚗𝚗𝚘𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐!"
He knew he was lying to himself and you, It wasnt annoying it was farely cute. Just even seeing your smile before the laugh made him know it was coming.
Then he would pull you back in his arms after that, even though you were still laughing he didnt want it to be ruined with your laughter that would probably go on for hours.
"𝚄𝚐𝚑, 𝙸𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚔𝚎𝚎𝚙 𝚍𝚘𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝙸'𝚕𝚕 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚕𝚎𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝙺𝚘𝚌𝚑𝚘 𝚞𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚕 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚒𝚜 𝚍𝚘𝚗𝚎!"
You knew he really wasnt going to do that, So you still continued.
-
Third day
-
This time he was slightly prepared, He had a day without missions or training, So he was just gonna completely ignore your constant giggling every night!
He sat beside you with a grin on his face, He was planning something after all
So obviously like every other day you giggled.
"𝙶𝚘𝚝𝚌𝚑𝚊!" 𝚂𝚊𝚗𝚎𝚖𝚒 𝚜𝚊𝚒𝚍, 𝚋𝚎𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚎 𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚌𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚖𝚘𝚞𝚝𝚑
Obviously it wouldnt shut you up for good, Or silence it that often.
You found out too he liked your laughter.
So you did it.
"𝙷𝚊𝚑! 𝙻𝚘𝚘𝚔 𝚠𝚑𝚘𝚜 𝚕𝚊𝚞𝚐𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚗— 𝙴𝚑? 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚏𝚞𝚌𝚔!!? 𝙰𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚕𝚒𝚌𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚖𝚢 𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚍!?" 𝙷𝚎 𝚜𝚊𝚒𝚍 𝚊𝚏𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚙𝚞𝚕𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚊𝚠𝚊𝚢 "𝚃𝚑𝚊𝚝'𝚜 𝚍𝚒𝚜𝚐𝚞𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐!"
But after that, It ended off with a night of you both giggling.

christmassy — lee j.y.
synopsis | prom season only means one thing - promposals. One thing that y/n hates the most. What happens if the hottest guy in school asks her out for prom? Will she say yes?
theme | fluff

note | It’s a slow but steady journey. Thank you for all the love!
Hugs and Kisses, always.
Tumblr media
———
y/n’s POV
“ you would not believe who Younghoon asked to be his prom date!” a cheerful Minhee said rushing towards my desk.
“uh… should I care?” I asked her.
“come on y/n, it’s prom season! Don’t you feel bubbly and giggly inside?”
“ prom isn’t my thing… and to add, this year’s theme is bleh.” I said sticking my tongue out
the most popular clique in school, dubbed as The Boyz somehow managed to persuade the academic committee to make this year’s prom theme, ‘Christmassy.’ I don’t exactly know what to expect but just hearing the word doesn’t excite me at all.
Ever since the last week, all sorts of gimmicks and promposals were done by everyone.
Of course, the boyz stepped it up a notch by creating the cringiest promposals in the history of promposals. From Haknyeon’s ‘It would be lit with U.’ sign that was actually on fire to Jacob’s ‘I’m dying to go christmassy with you’ stint on the school parking lot where he pretended to be a dead person.
“hey, it’s made by The Boyz. Everything they do is hot.” she said suddenly twirling her hair and looked at the opposite direction from mine.
‘Lee Juyeon.’
The person entering the room was probably one of the most popular out of the group and one third of the so-called Bermuda Line; it was a term the fangirls use to describe how handsome they are.
Juyeon sat on the desk in front of me. Despite his good looks, the boy was practically blind. It was a miracle that he was team captain of the football team.
“Juyeon-ssi, have you ever thought of the person you’ll ask out yet?” Minhee asked Juyeon shamelessly.
“hmmm… I have one person in mind actually.” he said looking at me.
It was a normal thing for Juyeon to make those remarks at me because he knew that I was unfazed of his and his friends status in school.
“I hope she’ll say yes.” he commented before our homeroom teacher, Ms. Han entered the room.
Classes went on as usual. The bell signaling the time for lunch rang. Once we were on our way to the cafeteria, Minhee and I couldn’t help but notice the growing crowd.
“what is happening?” I asked confused as I got my food
“It looks like Sangyeon is making his promposal to Da jeong.” Minhee whispered.
When I was near the crowd, I saw Sangyeon holding a box of pizza that had the words ‘ I know this is cheesy but…’
“this is too cheesy.” I said before making my way towards a table farthest from where the crowd was. Minhee on the other hand joined the crowd to cheer on whatever was happening.
I was eating casually when someone sat in front of me. Lee Juyeon
“uh… can I help you with something?” I asked confused
“are you going to watch the game later?”
“yeah? I’m the school photographer so I should be there I guess?” I said looking at him weirdly.
“ okay then. See you later.” he said before leaving.
Moments later, Minhee sat on where Juyeon previously sat and looked at me dubiously.
“what?”
“so… what was that all about?” she asked in a teasing tone
“nothing. He just asked if I’ll be watching the game later.” I said focusing on my meal.
“ maybe he’ll ask you out.” Minhee blurted which almost made me choke
“ me? that’s impossible.”
“you never know y/n. You know Juyeon. He’s unpredictable.”
———
Juyeon’s POV
Everyone in the group kept teasing Sangyeon hyung for his literal cheesy promposal.
“at least I was man enough to ask a girl I like out.” he protested looking at me
I just smiled at him and smacked my lips.
“you never know. Juyeon hyung is the master of grand surprises.” Eric commented in defense
“you do have a plan in mind don’t you?” Hyunjae hyung suddenly said looking at me. All eyes and ears were on me.
“uh..” I started but honestly I had no clue how to ask her.
“he doesn’t. He’s doomed.” Chanhee said facepalming himself.
“you better think of one fast before someone else asks y/n noona out.” Sunwoo commented swinging his arm on my shoulder.
‘how can I ask y/n out?’
———
y/n’s POV
“ y/n! I’m so glad you’re here! I’m sorry but Kang Tae is sick and I have no one else covering the next half of the game. Do you think you can cover until the end?” Eun Byul, my Senior asked rushing over the sidelines.
Tonight was the biggest football game of the year. It was the very first time that our school got into the finals and is inches away from being champions.
“of course unnie. No worries.” I said taking some pictures from the game.
I was running all over the field trying to get the best shots of the team as possible.
“ and… touchdown! This years champion goes to TBZ Academy!” The announcer cheered
Even I was cheering because I was happy for the team.
“We won!” Eun Byeol unnie shouted from where she was. I gave her a thumbs up and continued taking pics.
The team led by Juyeon threw him on the air and cheered.
Moments later, Juyeon was put on the ground and was given a mic by Minsoo.
The next thing I knew, there was a promposal set up.
‘Do I have to cover this.’ I asked myself mentally taking photos of the goal that had “YES.” written on it and back at Juyeon who was now holding a sign that read, “Will you be my sunshine?”
He sure knew how to draw the attention of the crowd. The crowd cheered at squealed.
“who is that for Juyeon?”
“ I hope he asks me out.”
“please let it be me.”
Those words kept echoing in my head as I tried my best to take more photos.
The crowd went silent after Juyeon shushed them and said,
“y/n.”
I look at him wide eyed. It was a good think I had a camera strap because if I didn’t thousands of dollars worth of equipment will be destroyed
Unable to move I just looked at him. He knelt on the ground and asked,
“ Will you be my sunshine?”
Everyone squealed and said yes. He kept pointing at the yes sign that was on the goal post.
Everyone wanted me to say yes but all I could blurt out was,
“ I’m sorry.”
———
y/n’s POV
The next few days in school was torture. I was being blamed for rejecting one of the hottest guys in school and apparently humiliating him.
Minhee wasn’t much of a help either because she kept on pestering why I said those words.
“ gee y/n. Thanks to you, Juyeon won’t be attending prom.” Dal Mi one of his fangirls said to me catching me off guard
I was pissed of what was happening. I can’t believe people were getting mad at me for nothing. I was humiliated too but of course, Juyeon had the upperhand at everything.
As soon as classes were dismissed, l went over to where The Boyz usually hang out. Their clubroom.
“where’s Juyeon.” I said barging in not minding who was inside the room.
“ Hey, y/n. Juyeon’s in there.” Kevin said pointing over to a door which had the sign ‘meeting room.’
“Can I… please go in?” I asked finally realizing I had to calm my nerves down.
“sure, be our guest.” Changmin commented
I smiled at him and gently twisted the knob which slowly revealed Juyeon who was sitting in front of a computer. Once he saw me he removed his earphone and looked at me soullessly
“Juyeon, what is this about you not going to prom?” I said standing in front of him
“ I just don’t feel like it.”
“ Juyeon if this is about the promposal the other day then I’m sorry…I got nervous. You know you can ask anyone out. Everyone would die just to be your date so why on all people, choose someone like me?” I said almost shouting
“ am I not allowed to choose who I want to go out with?! You’re the one who humiliated me in front of all those people.” he said standing up
we were inches away from each other. His soulless eyes were replaced by an intense gaze
“ I’m sorry if you felt humiliated but it was all your fault! You held me at gunpoint. What was I suppose to do? Didn’t I make myself clear with grand surprises and gestures?!” I said making him remember the last time he saw me rejecting a guy who gave me 143 roses for white day.
He was quiet for a while but then he said
“I don’t know why you would reject me.” he said which made me fume into anger. I turned around and held the door knob.
“For the last time. I did not reject you. I just said sorry, I don’t see how that translates to a yes or no. You weren’t asking me, you were impressing the crowd…You know what Ju, if you just asked me personally without the ‘Mighty Juyeon’ gesture, I would’ve said yes.” I said looking at him for the last time and went outside.
There I saw The Boyz who were trying their best not to look as if they eavesdrop in our onversation.
I bowed at them and went outside.
———
Juyeon’s POV
After hearing the door slam shut, I went outside and saw 10 pairs of eyes intently looking at me.
“ Hyung, y/n has a point.” Haknyeon said patting my shoulder making the others nod in agreement
“more than anyone else, you should know y/n by heart. You’ve known and loved her since middle school.” Sangyeon hyung commented
“ but… what can I do, it’s too late.” I said sitting beside Sunwoo who handed me a drink.
“it’s never too late to fix things.” Jacob hyung added.
———
y/n’s POV
Tonight was the day of the prom. We had no classes in order for the students to prepare for the said event.
I didn’t have any motivation to go but since Kang Tae was MIA for a few weeks now, nobody else was available to cover the event.
“ this is the only other dress I could find.” Minhee said handing me over a black satin dress that had buttons on it.
“Thank you for this.” I said before rushing into the bathroom to change.
“Does…it look okay?” I said eventually coming out from the bathroom
“you look hot. I’m sure Juyeon would be amazed.” She said which made me look at her weirdly
“Juyeon’s not attending remember.”
she just shrugged before doing my make up. She was supposed to do my hair but because Eun Byeol unnie kept on calling me, I hurried and made my way to school.
“sorry I’m late.” I said stepping inside the gymnasium.
It was pretty. The lights and sounds complemented everything.
“ y/n! Finally you’re here! I’m sorry for calling you so early but we need help with the preparations. You are the only person I could think of.” Eun Byeol unnie said rushing over to where I was.
“ no worries unnie. So, what do you need me to do?” I asked her
“The Boyz are making some final touchups. I just need you to help set up the photobooth outside. The camera isn’t working.” she said frantically before rushjng to where Kevin was.
I nodded my head and went to the photobooth. There, I saw the person who I least expected to see.
Lee Juyeon.
He was wearing a black suit and had his hair up which I found strangely attractive.
He was too absorbed trying to figure out something on his laptop.
I went over to him and cleared my throat.
“do you mind if I check?” I said standing beside him. I configured his laptop and connected it to the camera for the photobooth.
His gaze on me made me self conscious. I didn’t know why but it was the first time I felt this way around him. To mention, my heartbeat was quicker by the minute I stood next to him.
Finally taking a deep breath, I looked him and waited for him to speak.
“y/n, you… look amazing.”
I tried my best not to blush at his comment but I knew that even my makeup cannot hide the fact that his words made my cheeks red.
“thanks, you look handsome as well.” I said smiling at him
it was an awkward silence between us.
“y/n-”
“Ju,-”
we both laughed at our situation and smiled at each other.
“ladies first.”
“okay then. So… Ju, I’m sorry for last time. I’m sorry for shouting at you and making you feel bad. I’m so glad you’re here.
“it’s okay y/n. I’m sorry too for putting you in that situation. It’s a little weird but thank you for shaking up some senses in me. I hope you enjoy tonight.” he said turning around.
but before he could walk away, I held his hand which made him turn around again.
“I… haven’t given you a proper answer yet.”
my hands were getting clammy and my breath hitched as I looked at Juyeon.
“ it’s fine y/n, I get it. You don’t have to reject me-”
“ will you please listen to me?” I sighed in frustration.
He closed his mouth and looked at me.
The next words that came outside my mouth were probably the cringiest words I would ever say in real life.
“ Yes, Ju… I will be your sunshine.”

Maddie and Lila sat side by side in Maddie’s room, back against the headboard, something mindless on TV as they shared a bag of salt and vinegar chips, talking about just two nights ago in Busan.
“I didn’t expect Changbin to be so…” Lila trailed off, her cheeks dusting pink.
“Sexually appealing?” Maddie suggested with a grin. “Yeah. Neither did I when we hooked up.”
They giggled, taking turns grabbing more chips as Lila sighed.
“I guess he’s an incubus so we shouldn’t be surprised. And, I mean, when you look at him-”
“Right; he’s obviously hot,” Maddie nodded quickly in agreement. “But it’s just… he’s Changbin, you know?”
She knew her best friend’s struggle all too well; she remembered how surprised she’d been, having to help Changbin in that closet all those months ago.
His hands pulling hard on her hair, the way his body felt so nice beneath her fingers, the hotness as he whispered her name-
“Oh- gross-”
Maddie shook her head violently, Lila turning to her in slight surprise.
“We’ve gotta talk about something else,” she smacked a hand to her forehead. “Basically, Changbin was hot and it’s surprising, and be prepared for it to haunt you for the rest of your life-”
“I’ll never look at him the same,” Lila giggled.
“You really won’t,” she agreed before throwing a chip into her mouth.
“Well it seemed to help, because they all killed it on stage that night,” the younger continued. “Literally everyone. That was one of my favorite stages they’ve done so far.”
“Mine, too!”
“And I think whatever you did for Felix really has been helping,” Lila added, grinning a little. “He did so well.”
“Yeah,” Maddie was giggling, eyes darting from hers. “He really did.”
She thought of Felix for a moment, and how much happier he’d seemed since their night of baking together.
Maddie smiled to herself; that’s all she'd really wanted to do…
Help Felix.
When she glanced at her best friend again, the girl was checking her phone, eating another chip as she texted someone back.
Maddie felt slightly guilty, not telling Lila the entire truth about what went down with Felix that night in the kitchen, but she’d decided the information wasn’t really necessary.
Not only had Felix so clearly not wanted Lila to know he had feelings for her, but Maddie also didn’t see how Lila knowing this information would be helpful.
Her best friend’s heart was clearly set on Chan, and telling her would do nothing but make Lila feel guilty, something Maddie knew she and Felix both didn’t want.
Felix looked like he was trying to move forward- seemed happier in more ways than one- and Maddie thought for now, what Lila didn’t know wouldn’t kill her.
If the girl ever specifically asked, then she would of course, tell the truth.
“Anyway-”
She broke the temporary silence just as Lila was locking her phone.
“-they really did kill it the other night. I’m so proud of them.”
Lila nodded in agreement, but this time, the smile faded from her face a little as she fidgeted with her fingers, Maddie’s eyebrows furrowing.
“What?” she asked, turning towards her.
“I don’t know if Chan was too happy,” she admitted quietly.
“Oh…” Maddie trailed off as she thought back to that night. “I definitely noticed he was a little… irritated. But I thought it was just stress.”
“Was he stressed before we got there?” Lila asked.
“I mean… kind of…”
She remembered how Chan had been before Lila and Changbin had arrived; worried but keeping it together, insisting he stay behind and help Maddie no matter how many times she told him she’d be fine, knowing he had so much to do behind the scenes…
She remembered seeing how often he checked his phone, checked the clock on the wall, glanced at the door, clearly worried about Lila and Changbin; not only that they’d make it there on time, but also safely-
And then when they’d finally arrived and Maddie had joined them, she’d seen the slight relief on Chan’s face, the way he smiled lovingly at Lila- so very different than the way he smiled at everyone else- and she’d thought the man was okay…
So it’d surprised her when Chan had met them on stage just ten minutes later, looking stressed, biting his lip, rubbing his eyes as if tired, a little quieter than usual.
“Did something happen?” Maddie asked, watching Lila fiddle with the ends of her hair, green eyes meeting Maddie’s.
“I saw it again,” she said quietly. “The red in his eyes.”
Maddie stared at her for a moment, somewhat surprised.
“Maybe he’s going rogue,” she joked.
And Lila smiled, rolling her eyes and shaking her head.
“Shut up,” she said with a laugh. “I think… I don’t know, I think Chan was angry when he found out I was the one who helped Changbin before the show.”
Oh.
Well, Maddie couldn’t say she was too surprised.
“I mean, it makes sense,” she admitted gently. “He’s obviously head over heels for you, bestie. And it’s no man’s dream to hear his girl is hooking up with other dudes-”
“We’re not,” Lila argued indignantly. “I wasn’t hooking up with Changbin, I was helping him. It’s my job…”
“Believe me, I get it,” Maddie backtracked a little, realizing her wording wasn’t the best. “This whole situation is just…”
She trailed off, sighing a little as they looked at one another.
“Maybe you guys should talk about it,” she suggested lightly. “He doesn’t really have a right to get upset with you if he’s not telling you what’s going on. But also, if you’re noticing all this eye color stuff, it might be best for you to… you know. Tell him.”
Lila nodded, and Maddie watched her mull over the words for a moment, quietly pressing her lips together.
“You’re right,” she finally said. “I’ll talk to him soon.”
Maddie smiled, reaching into the bag of chips again as Lila turned a bit, raising an eyebrow.
“So, enough about me…” she began slowly.
This was never good; it almost always meant Lila was about to say something serious.
“What’s going on with you?”
“What do you mean?”
But Maddie already knew where this was going-
“With Jeongin… and Hyunjin.”
Her stomach flipped automatically, and she shifted the chips in her hand for something to do, avoiding Lila’s eyes.
“You mean like… us spending time together?”
“Yes.”
And while Lila didn’t say anything else, she didn’t have to, Maddie knowing exactly what she was asking.
Why are we spending time together?
“Well, I… I like hanging out with Jeongin a lot,” Maddie said softly.
“As… more than friends?”
Lila was asking all the tough questions, but her voice was quiet and understanding, Maddie turning to her, not all the way knowing the answer...
“I mean…” she trailed off. “He’s super fun to be with and when he smiles at me, it makes me kind of… giddy? I guess-”
“Yeah, I don’t know how you survive that, bestie,” Lila teased, giggling. “His smile is killer.”
“It is, and…”
Maddie was biting her bottom lip, thinking of all the times they’d spent together lately.
“We talk a lot- mainly me, honestly- and he’s super sweet… much nicer than I am, and he’s always so patient and calm…”
She smiled.
“We have fun together.”
“You have to keep it on your head-”
“What?”
Maddie was giggling and a little drunk, sitting side by side with Jeongin on the living room floor, the two of them playing a board game she’d never heard of.
“The name-” Jeongin pointed to the card in her hand, speaking between laughs. “It has to be stuck on your head so you can’t see it-”
“How?”
Before Jeongin could answer, she was attempting to press the card into the skin of her forehead, letting go and watching as the paper fluttered to the floor.
He pulled a red plastic circle from the box, laughing too hard to speak for a moment, Maddie realizing what he was holding-
“You have to wear the headband-”
Maddie remembered that night so clearly, happening just weeks after the guys had come back from Christmas break.
How much they’d laughed, in such goofy moods they’d hardly made it through two rounds of any of the games they’d picked out.
And they’d only continued to hang out from there…
“Basically, they’re best friends, but they kiss because they want to practice.”
Maddie was pacing back and forth in the kitchen, Jeongin sitting at the table, drinking iced tea and listening as she talked about the newest novel she’d started working on.
It was a warm summer day; the windows were open and the fan was on, the smell of outside refreshing despite the heat.
She’d been talking for a while, almost an hour now, but Jeongin was still there without complaint, smiling softly.
He’d asked to hang out with her hours ago, and she wasn’t sure what he’d wanted, but she was sure it wasn’t this.
Nevertheless, there he was, handsome and moving some dark hair out of his eyes, letting her go on and on.
“That’s not weird, right?”
Maddie was rambling, she knew, but she wanted to make sure it all made sense-
“I mean, it sounds stupid when I say it out loud, but there’s a whole trail of events that lead up to it, and they also have feelings for each other and just don’t know it…”
“I don’t think it sounds stupid,” Jeongin told her quietly. “It sounds interesting.”
“Thank you,” she smiled warmly at him, pacing once more as she started swinging her arms. “So, anyway, so they kiss each other, right? And nothing has ever been the same since-”
Maddie remembered that day, too.
How she’d been in the middle of writing a little novel; an idea she’d had for a while and had just recently started to work on.
She wasn’t sure how, but she’d ended up telling Jeongin the entire story- from the very beginning to the very end- and he’d listened to every bit of it, never complaining or trying to veer her attention away…
Knowing how much she needed to talk it out.
“Does this look okay?”
Maddie was hurrying toward Jeongin, pointing at her latest sad attempt at a messy bun, watching his face.
But Jeongin just laughed, reaching out to fix some pieces of her bangs, his touch against her face leaving a light, tingling sensation upon her skin.
“It looks fine,” he said, smiling gently at her.
“Thanks,” Maddie laughed a little, a small stutter in her chest. “You’re the best.”
It was only a week ago that he’d done that, and remembering the way his eyes had moved up and down her face had her stomach flipping even now, Maddie shaking her head a bit.
“Jeongin’s just…” she didn’t know how else to say it. “Like, perfect.”
She laughed to herself.
“I would be concerned about age, but I guess that ship has sailed.”
Honestly; Maddie missed when that was her biggest issue.
Lila giggled loudly, taking a bite of her chip before raising an eyebrow at her.
“So what about Hyunjin?”
And Maddie knew this question was coming, but it didn’t make it any easier to answer, her eyes darting from Lila’s again as she swallowed hard.
“Well, for one, he annoys the crap out of me-”
“Yes, we all know this,” Lila quipped, making Maddie giggle.
“But you know. Hyunjin’s funny. And I…”
She shrugged.
“I like spending time with him, too.”
Maddie was laying on her bed, waiting for Hyunjin to meet her in her bedroom, knowing the man was coming back from recording his solo dance video- Play With Fire- and had asked if they could hang out.
When he opened the door, she was right in the middle of a chapter of her book, only looking at him for a moment before her eyes were back on the page, knowing if she looked too long, Hyunjin would distract her.
“I’ve gotta finish this chapter,” she said, seeing him walk to the other side of her bed in her peripheral vision. “Sorry-”
“It’s fine-”
He flopped down so dramatically, the entire mattress shook, Maddie giggling before he was rolling onto his side, chin resting on her arm.
“Is the book good?”
But when she glanced over at him, there was something black in his hair, and Maddie was jumping back with a quick yelp, losing her balance and toppling over the edge of the bed.
She could hear Hyunjin’s hysterical laughter from above, Maddie rubbing her arms as she sat up quickly, the man scooting to the edge of the mattress-
“There’s a bug!”
It was the first thing she’d thought, but when her eyes darted to his head again, she realized it was a black ribbon, Hyunjin’s face buried into the pillow as he continued laughing-
And then she started giggling too, realizing how funny she must’ve looked, flying off the bed, laying on the floor now, the sheets caught on her ankles.
He finally lifted up, holding his hand out to help her off the floor before pointing to his head.
“It’s a hair ribbon.”
She couldn’t help but laugh under her breath, remembering how Hyunjin had pulled her back onto the bed, the two of them laughing all over again, so hard they couldn’t breathe, Maddie begging him to take the ribbon out and throw it away so they could stop giggling.
She remembered him dangling it over her face, Maddie swatting it out of his hand and throwing it away herself, Hyunjin still laughing when she came back across the room.
They were always teasing each other like that.
Maddie sat close to Hyunjin in his bed, both still shirtless from the sex they’d had earlier, her bare arm pressed against his own as his laptop sat on his legs, their drama playing quietly.
She’d come by for some late night fun- something to ease her mind after such a stressful week- and Maddie should’ve left hours ago.
But Hyunjin had convinced her to stay again, reminding her there were only three episodes left of the drama he’d roped her into watching, and now they were on the last one, Maddie completely engrossed in the story, comfortable against him.
The finale was sad- heart-wrenching, really- not at all the ending she’d been expecting, and Maddie was surprised by the tears welling in her eyes, blinking fiercely.
She used the blanket around both of them to dab at her cheeks, and when Hyunjin turned to her- hair still sticking up in all directions- his eyes were a little glassy as well.
“Are you crying?” she teased, voice thick with her own tears.
“No-”
He sniffled, both of them laughing.
“I’m gonna tell everyone.”
Hyunjin sniffled again, smirking as he pushed his arm against her own.
“Go ahead,” he said with a shrug, turning back to the screen. “You were crying, too.”
Maddie grinned again, remembering how long they’d stayed up, discussing how much the ending sucked. She’d fallen asleep right in the middle of him talking, something he didn’t stop teasing her about the next morning, or even the next few days after…
“You look pretty smiley,” Lila remarked with a smirk.
“Shut up,” Maddie was laughing before she could help it, shaking her head with a heavy sigh.
“So, if Hyunjin is funny and you like spending time with him,” Lila began slowly. “Then why does he annoy the crap out of you?”
She looked away from Lila again, exhaling with a huff.
“He just-”
But how did she explain?
Hyunjin held the remote above his head just as Maddie was about to swipe it from him, smiling smugly at her.
“My hotel room, my choice of TV show-”
They were on a three day trip with the group in Thailand, and he’d asked her to come to his room for the night, the two of them having hooked up just a few hours ago.
Maddie was tired of whatever RomCom movie he had on, wanting to watch something else, but when she’d tried to change the channel, he’d gotten the remote before she could.
“How come that rule doesn’t apply when it’s my hotel room?” Maddie complained, making a swipe for the remote again and failing.
“Because we never stay in your hotel room.”
Hyunjin was taking great pleasure in teasing her, and Maddie was annoyed with him, sitting up more completely and grabbing for the remote for the third time.
He laughed, dodging away and losing his balance, falling to the mattress. Maddie fell with him, giggling despite herself, catching the fall with her palms, and landing on top of him.
Then she was frozen, her face so close to his, eyes wandering down every feature, stomach in knots.
And Hyunjin was looking at her as well- for a moment, seeming almost as captivated as she’d been- before he was smirking a little, a small flicker of purple in his eyes.
“This would be a lot easier if you’d just let me have the remote, Maddie.”
She rolled her eyes, remembering how he’d won.
How that stupid movie had been on all night and- even worse- Maddie had gotten into it, staying in his room to watch until the end…
Hyunjin just had a knack for always getting his way.
“We’re all set.”
Maddie looked up from her phone at the sound of Hyunjin’s voice, her eyes wide.
She’d been sitting on the cold stone bench at the subway station, desperately looking for a way to get all eight of them to Busan before 7:00 pm-
But she watched as he took a stack of tickets from behind him, fanning them out with a smug grin on his perfect face.
“What?” Changbin was shocked, getting closer to take a look. “But how did you get them?”
“I convinced her to let me buy them,” Hyunjin said with a shrug. “They were the last ones left for this subway.”
“Oh my god-”
Maddie was just so relieved, the words slipping from her lips before she could help it.
She really thought she’d just ruined everything when she’d messed up those tickets…
Standing from the bench, their eyes locked for a moment, and then-
“Thank you!”
She wrapped her arms around him in a spontaneous embrace.
Hyunjin chuckled close to her ear, hugging her back as Maddie’s cheek dropped to his shoulder on instinct.
“It wasn’t that hard,” he muttered. “I just asked if we could buy them so they wouldn’t lose money on unsold tickets-”
Maddie remembered when he’d said that so casually- like it was the easiest thing in the world to just charm the pants off of everyone- and how he’d made it sound like she should’ve done it, too…
How he’d told her he just knew how to talk to people and it wasn’t because he was so incredibly good-looking, no matter how many times throughout that subway ride she'd told him otherwise…
As usual, Hyunjin always thought he was right.
“I’m telling you, the guy from Reply 1997 was in Infinite.”
Maddie was indignant, making grilled cheese in the kitchen as Hyunjin leaned against the counter, shaking his head.
“No,” Hyunjin was already taking his phone out of the pocket of his jeans. “It was Block B.”
“Block B?” Maddie’s eyebrows furrowed, and she quickly checked the bread of her sandwich, making sure it wasn’t burning. “No- it’s definitely infinite. Woohyun!”
Hyunjin was concentrated, still typing on his phone as she turned around to look at him.
His face fell a little when he stopped scrolling.
“Okay, you’re right,” he said with a sigh. “It is Infinite…”
“Ha! See? You don’t know everything like you think you do!”
She was teasing of course, but Hyunjin had been arguing pretty fiercely with her about it-
“Yeah?”
He was suddenly smirking, turning his phone around so she could see, shaking it a little.
“Well, you don’t know as much as you think you do either, Maddie. His name is Hoya. Not Woohyun.”
She shook her head, remembering how annoyingly smug he’d been about that.
How she’d told him messing up the name wasn’t as bad as messing up the group, and they’d gotten so into that debate, she’d ended up burning her grilled cheese after all-
“He’s just so full of himself.”
Maddie finally found the words she was looking for, stuffing three chips in her mouth and chewing them fiercely, Lila laughing beside her.
“Bestie, I hate to break it to you, but he’s always been full of himself.”
Maddie swallowed quickly.
“And now you see my dilemma.”
“So you do have a dilemma.”
“Wha-”
“I thought there was no dilemma with Hyunjin. That you guys were just hanging out for stress relief.”
Maddie had walked right into this one, her mouth snapping closed.
They were just hanging out for stress relief.
Or…
Well.
She couldn’t help but think about it; how many times they’d been in one another’s bedrooms, hidden in closets, locked themselves up in bathrooms…
Kissing, yes; Touching, yes; Having sex, yes.
But also talking about their days, getting into shows, sometimes just reading webtoons together after a hookup, barely speaking, but so very comfortable together…
Was Maddie always stressed out every time she came to see him?
Was Hyunjin always worn out and in need of a feed every time he saw her?
Everyone was getting out of the car, Maddie lingering behind to finish an email to BamBam, telling the rest that she’d meet them inside.
Hyunjin had lingered behind too, saying something about needing to call his parents, and yet he hadn’t made any calls, Maddie glancing up when she was done with her email, raising her eyebrows at him.
“I thought you were calling your mom.”
But he just smiled- the softer, one-sided one she got sometimes from him, her heart skipping a beat in her chest- and then he was leaning forward, pressing his lips against hers.
An immediate heat was spreading across her cheeks, Maddie’s eyes slipping closed automatically, heart pounding against the walls of her chest, Hyunjin’s hand sliding casually up her side.
When they broke for air she was pulling back to look at him, feeling surprised.
“What was that for?”
But he just grinned playfully, leaning close again, lips centimeters from her own.
“I just wanted to.”
Maddie didn’t have time to ask what that meant, Hyunjin already kissing her again, hand running further up her shirt.
And when their lips moved together, there was a certain feeling to it Maddie couldn’t explain; her head going fuzzy, throat tight, air caught in her lungs.
Her fingers threaded through his hair and Hyunjin’s breath hitched, sending a spark through her system-
“Maybe we should just stay out here for a minute.”
His words were breathy and whispered in the little space between them, Maddie wrapping her arms around his neck as she smiled.
“So basically you just want me to yourself.”
She was mostly joking, and he laughed softly, his hot breath against her mouth almost more than she could take-
“Yeah sure,” he muttered, already coming to kiss her again, fingers now curling a bit, holding her waist in the best of ways. “Think whatever you want.”
Maddie hadn’t known what was to come.
That they’d be making out in the back of the SUV, his leg lodged between her own, moving against her, their breathing a little too loud for the complete quiet of the car.
Maddie holding him, never feeling like he was close enough when they were like this, Hyunjin’s heavy exhales against her parted lips, the two of them getting so lost in each other…
And while that had always been the point- while it’d always been so easy to forget about the real world when they were together…
Neither of them had been stressed or in need of anything when that’d happened.
Maddie swallowed hard, realizing the lines were starting to blur…
There was a lot less “This is to take the edge off” and a lot more “I just like the way this feels”.
She shook her head quickly, a strange twist in her chest as she bit her lip, feeling anxious as she looked at Lila.
“Honestly…” Maddie said, sighing heavily. “I really don’t know anymore.”

The 2023 writing Advent calendar: Day 22
22. Candy Cane
Straight continuation from yesterday
“Okay, time for the next game!!” Luna did a piruette on her knees.
They had spent literally hours singing, laughing and goofing off. After Jingle Bells, Luhna had had literally ten other songs that they modified lyrics to.
Arguably, Simon had had the best versions with the most sillies lyrics ever. Ambar was round of her guy.
“You have more games?” Pedro had falled down on the couch in a hot chocolate induced coma. Ambar wasn’t fully sure ifhe had åarenst he could have gone to during Christmas—honestly she wasn’t sure about half of her… now friends’ family situation.
The Valentes were different, and she had met Nina’s mom and Ambar was pretty sure they were divorced, since Ana had dated Gary after all. Obviously she knew both Delfi an Jazmin’s parents and was some what familiar with Gastón’s given that they had been in the same class since the third grade. She didn’t exactly remember how she had come to the conclusion, but she really liked them, and had even kidn of been jealous when younger. And who didn’t know who Isla and Marco Perida were at this point?
But with anyone else, she had no idea who they parents were, what they did, anything. Simon had told her about his own family, who sounded super fun, but she obviously hadn’t met them. Maybe they could face time soo or something.
It would be the first she would meet her boyfriends parents, which she had never done before. he never actually had met Matteo’s while they had been dating—felt like a lifetime ago now. Hence the discussio over the whole Balsano family mystery… but that was Luna’s problem now.
Delfi might have mentioned that Pedro would be coming over on the boxing day, so he probably had some in-law activity coming. Did he and Aaron get along…?
Wow, Ambar really had turned a new leaf if she cared about how PEDRO did with Delfi’s little brother. Maybe caring about others was somthing she could do more often…
“Yes, so next… I’ll be right back!” Luna jumped up and ran back into the kitchen.
“How is she not out of energy yet?” Ambar leaned against Simon after Luna had gone.
“Are you kidding,” He looked at her, “Luna never rund out of energy on Christmas… She was the most enthusiastic Mary in her elementary school’s Christmas play.”
“She played Mary?” Ambar raised an eyebrow. She didn’t consider herself that religious, but everyone knew the Christmas story.
“Yes… and forgot the babydoll halfway through the play,” Simon explained, “I was like 10, maybe nine, so I don’t really remember it either, but it was hilarious, trust me.”
“I can imagine,” Ambar nodded.
“Here we are!!” Luna ran back into the living room, holding a bunch of candycanes.
“Why do you have candycanes?” Ambar asked as Luna sat back down.
“So, were gonna play this game with them,” Luna started explaining extremely fast. “...and winner is whose cane doesn’t break. Questions?”
“Many questions.” Ambar stared. “So, were supposed to stack those how?”
“Like criss and then cross,” Luna demonstrated with her hands… and then tripped herself completely with tying her hand basically together in the process. “Then we try to make each other’ buildings fall.”
“So, were just trying to sabotage each other?” 7
“Pretty much,” Lun nodded, “Let’s build! Who has the highest can go first!!” Then she threw few of the candycane in the air and they landed straight onto her face.
Ambar was almost afraid to ask if that had been intentional or not. So, she didn’t ask and started staking her own candycanes into a pile.
She tried to use the log house technique that they had been taught in some art class in middleschool. At leats it held. Both Simon and Luna looked more like they were building a bonfire than a stack, but everyone had their own style…
…it would just make it so much more easier to break it later.
“Everyone done?” Luna asked.
“Yes,” Ambar nodded, “But what are we doing now?”
“Now we lay on our stomach and try to pull the candycanes out!” Luna announced.
“You’re being serious?” Ambar stared at her. Why did it feel like the rules for this game changed all the time?
“Yes,” Luna had already crawled to her stomack, sounding completely serious. “Come on.”
“Okay…” Amabr also crawled onto her stomach. Before she was able to realize they really were pulling candy caned from a pile with their mouth on the floor of the Mansion’s living room. Ambar had to laugh when she though of the hearth attack Sharon would defintely have if she saw it-
Good for them, she never would see this.
“What is going on?” Everyone turned around and saw Matteo standing at the living room’s entrance. “I—I didn’t drink at Dad’s.”
“Matteo!” Luna jumped up. She still had a candycane in her mouth. “You’re back?”
“Yeah,” Matteo kept staring, “Do I want to know?”
“How did you get here so fast?”
“Dad gave a me a car a as Christmast present… That’s why he was so insistent that I needed to come. I clearly missed some stuff.”
“Just a lot of fun,” Ambar smirked. This clearly was a Christmas to remember.
Well, that was a hectic Christmas day evening at the mansion right after S3...

Guys. I adopted a kitten last night and will be bringing her home in Tuesday after her spay! I am excited. Her name is currently Gabby, formerly Goatee Girl (because she has a sweet soul patch situation and her former owner knew what was important), but I will probably be changing it. Unless she just turns out to be a Gabby. Or even a Goatee Girl. We'll have to see. A sick part of me really wants to name her Gal Fieri, but I don't even know if she's ever even been to Flavor Town. I don't want to assume.
No, but on a less silly note, this girl is so sweet (she chirped and purred almost the whole time I sat with her while demanding scritches), but she is also a little skittish/unsure of herself at the same time. While she caught my eye by literally reaching out and grabbing my pants before I even noticed her, she lost all of her confidence the moment the kennel door opened up. I had to wait a few minutes before she could be sure I wasn't going to do anything to her, but then she came right to me and was like "it's snuggle time, ho".
Her story is a heartbreaking one, tbh. Her former owner had to surrender her 3 kittens because she (the owner) was leaving an abusive partner and couldn't find housing that would allow her to keep the kittens. She took good care of them when she had them (they all had a clean bill of health on intake) and did the best she could for them in what had to be an absolutely awful situation. If by some chance that poor woman sees this post, please know that you are brave as fuck for doing what you're doing, that you did the right/best thing for yourself and your fur babies, and that all of your babies have now been adopted. I will love your Goatee Girl with everything I have, enough for you and I both, and she'll never want for anything because I am the type of person whose entire life revolves around their pets. Spoiled doesn't even begin to express the way my pets have been treated in their lifetimes. This little girl will be the first cat I have had in over a decade (third in my lifetime), and I am so very excited to embark on a (hopefully) long life journey with her.
Okay, I'm done being emotional about my cat online now (a lie, I am sure). Gotta get our room and house prepped and kitten ready!

EVIL OR NOT PT FOUR . the song to listen to for this is link up on Spotify 😁😁😁
The next thing you knew your sisters were snapping a pic giggling like children and they were well over children’s age. You immediately got up and snuck into your sisters room taking their phone and deleting the picture. We’re not a thing you said sassily. Yes you are you and him are so cuuute! You rolled your eyes and left out her room tossing the phone. So who was that you heard from a corner. Good morning sleepy head. You teased laughing at hobies messy hair. It was ….. cute you would admit to your self but never to him. Like ever…… you thought. As soon as he got his stuff you got your suit for the morning it was a cropped shirt and pants/shoes. You grabbed his arm and jumped out the window into an alley where there. We’re 7 other motorcycles they were your sisters they were also in the stealing business you gave him a spare helmet and he grabbed your waist he prefers swinging but you were insistent. You drove him to his new home and dropped him off. Hey uh “Kara” why weren’t you fighting me last night you took a moment to answer but it got clear after a second. I’m not interested in fighting just stealing the faster I steal the more I can get. You drove off tossing him the keys. Bye spidey you yelled chuckling. When you got back to your house your sisters were waiting. So what happened Ariyah asked she was one of your seven sisters. Ariyah,Adria,Leloni , Kaylen , Genesis, Tori and Chloe. Nothing literally nothing cause we’re not a thing chloe knew what happened she followed you. She dropped him off at a house and then left. But he was holding her waist the whole ride like they’re totally a thing. They made a big deal of everything. I literally hate you you didn’t really hate them but it was annoying. Shut up and get ready for our concert later, you had a female band called the figure eights and you guys were probably the most famous band in the whole world.  You were putting on your make up and watching tv when it started to ran very hard. Leloni came in asking if we should still have the show. Of course just have water proof make up. Now let’s go. You were the youngest but the most on time too. When you got there it was raining but pouring with fans they were all screaming and cheering. You guys gave out hugs and said hi to some kids recorded with some people before the show.when you started singing there were fans making crowns symboling you were the queens of music. Next thing you knew there he was hobie in the crowd cheering. You were is favorite ba- group of musicians that came together to make music. You immediately started smiling while dancing. After your third song you all had a radio interview but since you couldn’t be there you told the fans to quiet down so you could hear the face time. They could see and hear your every word. When you were done you walked off the stage and greeted more fans than smiled and waved at hobie. He didn’t know you were y/n or cat woman. As you were walking kaylen pulled your high pony. Ouch what the heck Kayla. She stared at you and hobie. You rolled your eyes and scoffed. All your sisters stared. You flipped them off and the whole crowd went ooOOoOoOhhhh. You laughed and went to the Uber that was going to pick you all up. You took off your makeup and took down your hair then you heard a thump on top of your car, you took adrias police taser ,opened the sunroof turned it on and BZZZZBZZZ. You stuck your head out the roof and it was………. Spider punk ya..hoo. Hey driver make a u turn you right away. It threw hobie off the roof and put him in the grass. It was honestly kinda creepy how he was followed you. Or he was on a mission and just jumped on your car. Oh well you thought to your self. You sat back in the car and looked like you saw a ghost.
You finally sat down and just thought.

Ol’ Unreliable
My mom just called me unreliable because i didn’t want to split two orders at the McDonald's drive-thru. The entitlement on this hick is absurd. I give her my time on Saturdays in order to get the stuff done she can’t during the week. After i work a full forty hours. An then have to come home and make sure she literally eats food. Like, i missed a whole f*cking week of work because she fell over, hit her head, and was too scared to be alone. I sat in the emergency room for sixteen f*cking hours with her, just to make sure she got the care she needed after her sill. From sleeping sitting up on the end of the bed. Something i told her repeatedly not to do. Because she fell off the bed several ties before the head wound. I’m not hurt she thinks this way, I'm f*cking offended. It costs me actual money to look after my sixty-five year old mother, because she refuses to look after herself, and she has the audacity to call me unreliable because i control the timetable for her chores? Really? The only time i don’t take her out on Saturday to do the sh*t she wants is when either I'm too sick to do it, i already made plans to do something else, or she’s too sick to go. I’ve told her, repeatedly, i don’t want to to help her. I don’t want to help anyone, ever. I am a very selfish person that way. It stems from the fact i was parentified, in part by her, when i was a kid. My brothers were born when i was seven years old. I have been a third parent (the primary caregiver) until i was probably twenty and she basically forced me out over some bullsh*t. Fast forward to present day and i have been parentified again, only she’s my kid now not my brothers. Can’t get down the stairs to collect the delivery food you shouldn’t be ordering? Guess who has to o that? Can climb up the stairs to the laundry room on-site in our apartment complex? Guess who gets to stand around watching the dog for three hours at the laundromat. She even had the audacity to tell me, after she gets her glasses (She can’t get her license because she needed eye surgery and a new prescription) she’d still like for me to drive her around because she’s gotten used to be chauffeured. The audacity.
Once, she asked my older-younger brother to take her to the store and he said sure. Then she had him out for four hours, doing a bunch of other sh*t. The next time she called for a ride to the store, h said no. She asked why and he explained that it’s never just to the store. It’s an entire afternoon with her. She relied, “Well if you know that, then you should just be prepared for that.” Who f*cking does that? You ask for one thing and then just pile on after the fact? Is that not rude? IS that not dishonest? And her excuse for this? We’re her kids and should WANT to help out our mom. No. F*ck no. I don’t want to help you, them, he, she, or whoever else. My time is my own. If i decide to share it with you, in whatever increment i choose, be f*cking grateful because i don’t have to give you any of it, ever. I spent half my life giving it to other people against my will. I had to sacrifice so much because of my parents inequities. It’s wild that, some twenty years later, one of them still thinks they can dictate how i use my time. If the strong f*cking boundaries i put up makes me undependable, then so be it. Find someone else to help you up off the floor the next time you fall over.
