I love the way you write for the cod women! specifically, Farah (she's my wife) if you feel comfortable writing for chubby readers. Could you write Farah x Chubby Reader? 💕
Hello! I'm glad to hear that you enjoy my writing! Farah is pretty cool I agree! Here you go!
Farah with a Chubby!Reader
Farah doesn’t particularly care about your body type as long as you’re you. She fell in love with you because of your personality, not your body. But that isn’t to say she wouldn’t adore it all the same. It’s a part of you, and therefore it’s as perfect as it could get. She loves you in your entirety, regardless of what you look like, even on those days where you might feel like she deserves someone better than you. Someone who fits the image of traditionally handsome or pretty more so than you do. It’s during those days where Farah would actually become a bit more cuddly than she usually is. She doesn’t touch people very often aside from the occasional friendly pat on the shoulder or maybe patching someone up after a rough fight. She may be touch starved, but she doesn’t really touch people. Not that she detests it, it’s just not her style. So she’d be a bit more touchy with you, reassuring you that you’re lovely just as you are. You’re gorgeous, no one could ever take that away from you. It’s during those days that she’ll demand you lie down on the couch or the bed so she can rest her head either on your chest or your tummy. Both are the perfect napping spot, she’ll claim, even if she doesn’t really take naps during the day. She’ll snuggle into you, hold you close and tell you just how lovely and beautiful you are, beauty standards be damned because the prettiest, most jaw dropping person on the planet is with her right now anyway. Every other fool knows nothing in comparison.
Farah is also pretty good with her words. When she was younger she used to read quite a lot, quite a few things were above her reading level as well, so she knows a few fancy words here and there. She can compare you to just about anything beautiful on this planet, but she does like to tell you that there were some cultures out there where being chubby was a sign of wealth and beauty. And that’s another thing she likes about you: You’re chubby because you can afford food, because you can afford to eat well. She’ll remind you that there were princesses out there, chubby ones, who would be the pinnacle of wealth and beauty because of it. Farah is far from all knowing, but she knows a few things here and there.
Besides, as mentioned before, she’ll love you regardless of what you look like. If she feels particularly touch starved she’ll walk up to you from behind, wrap her arms around you and squeeze your tummy a bit. It’s warm, it’s soft, she gets to hold you in her arms. What’s not to love about the concept? If you’re someone who’s into cute clothing, then Farah fantasizes about seeing you in a cute dress. Something like a fancy lolita dress because she knows you’d look so cute in it. While she can’t buy an outfit like that for you as it is, she hopes that once the situation has calmed down a lot and she won’t have to fight for her life anymore, that Farah can buy you a cute dress.
While she won’t outright ask for it, sometimes she does like being held, so she definitely wouldn’t mind it if you pulled her down on top of you, held her down with your arms and then rambled on about your day. However, be warned, as she mindlessly listens to you, she might play around a bit and poke your tummy, or whichever it is that is closest to her. Hope you’re not ticklish because the chances are high she’ll do that. You’re soft, it’s fun and if you are ticklish then she has even more of an incentive to actually do it. Not at all sneaky about it either, will poke you and then look up at you with a smile. Farah, too, can be a bit of a meanie, but she loves you so it’s okay.

My incomplete list of circumstantial bits of evidence for werebear!Halsin
Note: I can see the case for both Halsin knowing AND not knowing that he's a werebear- I'm going to include both here.
The most glaring: Halsin can't control his wildshape. This is highly unusual for any Druid, let alone an Archdruid of his age and power. He not only can't control the transformation when experiencing strong emotions, but he can't entirely control his actions when scared or angry; he tells the player, after being rescued from the goblin pens, that he will be unable to not attack the goblins threatening them. This makes no sense for a wildshaped Druid, but makes plenty of sense for a terrified werebear. 1B. No other Druids in the entire game have the wildshape problems Halsin does. 1C. Halsin can control all his other wildshapes properly, and behaves much more like other Druids when using them.
Werebears who haven't learned to control themselves yet (such as if they don't know they are one, are recently turned, etc) often transform unexpectedly when threatened.
Halsin's bear wildshape is treated differently than any other; it's the only wildshape he can't control, and it has a separate mechanic to other wildshapes in-game, being activated not with other wildshapes, but on the screen for abilities that are an intrinsic part of the character's skills. Yes, this is probably because it's only Halsin who can do this, but circumstantially... it is interesting.
Werebears avoid biting to prevent spreading their lycanthrophy (unless they have negotiated with the person they are trying to turn). As far as I've seen (I DEFINITELY could be wrong, though, please let me know if I am), Halsin only ever uses his claws to attack- no biting attacks.
If you look at the sky during the romance scene with the player, the moon is shown very bright and prominent; it isn't 100% certain, but it looks like it could be full.
Halsin is VERY different from his normal personality in bear form, excluding the romance scene; if you use Speak With Animals when he's in the cage, he'll say things like "time for blood" as he prepares to attack the goblins. Werebears in bear form are noted for being irritable and quick to violence, though they attempt to mitigate the effects of these impulses through self-isolation so no one innocent is harmed. 6B. Halsin in normal form tries very hard to not get violent when possible, noting that "killing is never [his] first choice", yet when needs must, he won't hesitate to kill- the opposite of the bear.
If Halsin doesn't know he's a werebear (explaining him not telling you), it's worth noting that it IS possible for werebears who weren't born as such not to be aware, with any actions taken during the full moon tending to get written off as bad dreams. Halsin could just think he has a recurring nightmare about losing control of his bear form.
Halsin resonates wit bears a lot deeper than most other Druids do with their favorite animals. Kagha comes the closest with her love of snakes, but even she speaks more metaphorically, whereas Halsin will do it literally, such as a new, as-yet-unimplemented line where he says he hopes "an old bear" can help the player, making jokes about poking the bear, etc. in fact, he refers to himself as a bear more often than he refers to himself as an elf.
Halsin makes reference to honey mead being his favorite drink. Werebears have a special honey mead concoction they enjoy. This drink is highly intoxicating to non-were, which means it might be more intoxicating than other drinks to were too.
Halsin is shown having an alignment that leans far more towards good than neutral, whereas most of the Druids in this game have a neutral alignment. Werebears are one of two weres in DND lore that have a good alignment.
Werebears usually live solitary lives. Circle of the Moon Druids are noted as being very solitary as well, with it being possible to go weeks without seeing another Druid (though Archdruids of this Circle will of course be more involved). Halsin, before becoming Archdruid, is implied to have fit this, such as him making reference to having hibernated in bear wildshape.
However, werebears are still noted to have a strong sense of community, and they often act as guardian of a particular area. Like Halsin protecting his Grove, then protecting his commune in the end, even noting that his urge to roam has dwindled after finding the latter. In fact, werebears are noted to often be sedentary and prefer not to leave their homes; Halsin is restless and roaming until the epilogue, when all his traumas are resolved, at which point he settles and shows contentment at having gone from "a life of high adventure" to one of anything but. (He says this to the player if romanced, worrying that he took them from just that life, but he repeatedly says he is happy to have given up adventuring.)
It is noted that when werebears don't isolate, one of the more common choices for werebears is.... you guessed it. Becoming a Druid.
Werebears have the ability to call local bears to them. The Emerald Grove has three bears living there.
Werebears don't marry, but might have favorite mates they visit often. Depending on player choice, Halsin might end up a bit more committed than the latter, but still less than the former. Also, this ties in well with Halsin's stated philosophy on polyamory, with him specifically stating that a bear's coupling habits suit him more than another animal's, like, say, a wolf, would.
It is well-known by now that there used to be a Bard Origin named Helia, who would have been either a Halfling or a Gnome. Helia also would have been a werewolf. While it's not known for sure that she was cut specifically FOR Halsin to be made playable (it's doubtful, given how early Helia was cut), there are signs that parts of her story might have been given to Halsin. For example, if one looks in datamined dialogues, certain goblin camp scenes still say that it could be either Helia or Halsin's bear there. Such as this one for the goblin kids running off to warn the adults: "Panicked, the kids run to the room with the goblin warriors and call for help, because the bear / Helia has escaped. After that they disappear." (Not sure if they still run in the final game, but the PAD is still in the files.) Or for the goblin kids throwing rocks before the cutscene is triggered, "One of the goblin kids that is throwing rocks at Helia or the bear." I don't want to speculate too much about cut content, but this suggests that Halsin and Helia's stories may have intertwined somewhat, and that when Helia was cut, parts of her went to Halsin. This may be why Halsin's bear wildshape was written more like him being a were instead; in a meta sense, he "became" a lycanthrope when he inherited part of Helia's story.
Halsin is wide/tall, muscular, and has body hair (though not facial hair), to the point that people repeatedly comment on how unusual he is for an elf. Unusual for an elf, but not a werebear, who are noted for being, you guessed it, wide/tall, muscular, and hairy.
Werebears who are bitten instead of being born as such are almost always transformed by a more experienced werebear and then taken as a protege, to become a guardian of the forest, which would explain a LOT about Halsin if he chose this.
Halsin shows a lot of empathy and compassion for Astarion and the Dark Urge. While of course it could just be his genuinely kind nature, it could also be him relating it to his own experience as a werebear.
Lastly, there's this art from the collector's edition; my guess is that this art was made after they decided Halsin would be playable, but before Karlach had an official design (the IGN interview indicates that Karlach was only added earlier this year, leaving a wide window for this to happen). While this is, of course, subjective, the pose and juxtaposition of the bear to Halsin looks a lot like the sort of art used in werewolf movies. Sort of like how one of Halsin's point-and-click lines, "the power of the bear lies within me," sounds very were-like too. This one is more subjective than the others, but I still wanted to include it.

This is all circumstantial, I know, but i thought it might be interesting to get out there nonetheless!

You know, when it really comes down to it, the main thing that tears me to pieces about Arthur & John is encapsulated so nicely in the trope of the Lonesome Cowboy.
RDR2's storytelling is particularly masterful as it shows us that everyone is the mythic Lonesome Cowboy... but at the same time, I believe it manages to quietly suggest there is one true Lonesome Cowboy of the series.
And it ain't Arthur Morgan.
DEEPLY overwritten explanation below!
On the surface, Arthur is clearly set up by RDR2 to be our Lonesome Cowboy. He even sings the song. But is he really? Really, truly? Or is Arthur's brand of lonesomeness a clever model to help us, through comparison and contrast, begin to notice and understand another, deeper type of loneliness?
Arthur thinks he's unlovable and alone because he lacks one specific type of love, romantic domesticity, which he has dreamed throughout his life and consistently been denied. But though his pain is genuine, the idea that Arthur is alone and unloved is almost laughable. R* shows us every single game day that Arthur is surrounded by people who love him, live with him, and depend upon him.
But that's the great irony of the RDR Lonesome Cowboy, right? Arthur feels lonely and believes he is alone because he is a "bad man" and nonbeliever whom "no one will have" (not even God, and he remains true to his atheism through the bitter end [and thank god for that honestly because the last thing I needed was a Come to Jesus cowboy game...]).
But the inverse is true, and his depression is lying to him; Arthur is almost never alone and pretty much everyone in his family unit actively enjoys his company and wants him around. And yes, many of these people are damaged and have trouble communicating that (though fewer than you'd think). And no, it isn't the same as getting married to one person and raising a family with them for the rest of your life. But lonesome? As in, emotionally and/or physically alone?
Nah! Come on, man! Not even close.
Arthur is more than just loved and needed: he's actually understood by those he chooses to let in, because Arthur is definitely capable of telling his closest confidants how he feels and what is lurking in his heart. We see him do this many times. Sometimes with surprising ease and honesty.
When Arthur is physically alone in RDR2, he's wandering at the player's command, and if he wanders for too long, he's eventually retrieved & lambasted by the people at camp who quite openly/forcefully tell him they missed him and worried about him. Even Low Honor Arthur is a popular man at camp, in his own way, the support beam of his strange family (though LH Arthur is more likely to selectively deny that support, or to provide that support with the caveat of verbal cruelty).
A messy run-down of some obvious examples to illustrate my point:
Despite Dutch's deterioration and manipulations, Dutch and Hosea openly dote on him and relish telling embarrassing family stories about their Big Man Old Guard son to each other. Hosea especially frets about and tries to care for Arthur, mostly physically but sometimes emotionally as well. Susan can be abrasive at best, but she also clearly favors Arthur, thinks often about his well-being, and is one of the primary worriers when he's away from camp for too long.
Abigail and Jack completely rely on Arthur for a significant period of their lives, and though Abigail struggles greatly with showing affection & vulnerability, I would argue her primary and most extraordinary mode of care and affection for Arthur is allowing him to help her raise her son. Sure, she needs the help... but Arthur needs the nuclear family experience of being heavily relied on, too, and Abigail makes it clear she understands that about him better than anybody else. (I'd go on to argue that being relied on in a family way is essential for Arthur's self-esteem and is how he can continue to function despite the massive clash between his true nature and his violent lifestyle, for which he constantly berates himself. But that's neither here nor there...)
The Girls (Tilly, Mary-Beth, Karen) actively worry about his mental health and invite him to share his burdens with them, comfort him (each in their own unique way), play games, dance, etc. They do this for Arthur we don't see them do for anyone else in camp (apart from each other, which leads me to believe Arthur is sort of an honorary member of The Girls, though I won't get too much into that here).
Sadie: "Aside from my [BELOVED HUSBAND AND SOUL MATE] Jake, you're the best man I've known."
Though Arthur seems more likely to trust & befriend women/non-masc men, he has masc men friends & confidants too, and most of the men at camp seem to rank Arthur as somehow more reliable than other members. Charles very obviously loves Arthur & vice versa to the point where I tried to pick one demonstrative example and couldn't figure out where to begin. Uncle is a pain in Arthur's ass, but when shit hits the fan, he knows (and tells him) that Arthur is the best man of them all. Lenny, while young, enjoys Arthur's company (though I would argue Arthur feels more strongly about Lenny than the inverse due to Arthur's tendency to protectively fuss over young people). Hell, Sean constantly tells Arthur, word for word, "I love ya, Arthur Morgan!!! I really do!!! I love ya!!!!" He's being goofy, but he's not joking! He said that!
And that's just a surface-level sampling of gang members. These threads run much, much deeper and we could spend essays analyzing each one, but my god this has gone on too long already.
One could argue that Arthur's story aloneness is at the moment of his death, but I can't quite agree. With Save John + High Honor Arthur path especially, I would argue Arthur has never been less emotionally (even spiritually) alone than when he chose to change the very nature of his death from a random consequence of his hard life to an act of love that gives his surviving core family (John, Abigail, Jack) a chance at happiness. In less peaceful endgame scenarios, Arthur might not actually die alone, or even have time to linger on his approaching departure from the world.
So I posit that Arthur is not, was never the Lonesome Cowboy. Arthur is loved as much as he loves others.
I posit that the true Lonesome Cowboy of RDR is John.
John Marston, who on the surface has everything Arthur ever wanted... but who, due to the nature of his heart and what he's seen, cannot bring himself to fully open up in a way that enables him to be truly understood and embraced by anyone, not even the person he comes to love most in the world (Abigail). There's a reason the epilogue feels so shocking and lonely, and while I do think Rockstar could have done a better job on the transitional cinematics from playing as Arthur to playing as John, that crushing loneliness and sense of discomfort and incompleteness is vital.
It feels awful. It feels like we just lost a limb and were thrown back into everyday life with no fanfare, no true honorable sendoff, no closure, no greater understanding of the world, no peace or contentment. And it feels that way because that discordant, jarring dis-allowance of grief is the ONLY mechanism that helps us feel how John must feel now. Because unlike Arthur, John cannot express or unfold or understand his own pain and loneliness. Not to us, the player, and not even to himself. He never grieves.
Of course, when Sadie and Micah drift back into his life, John snaps. He's never grieved! He's been emotionally alone through all of that, even when he has his family and friends, because he can't open up and let them in! He risks destroying his family in a way that would have undoubtedly caused Arthur extreme horror and anger because John's family is not and has never been a cure for John's loneliness, even though John truly loves them more than anything at the end.
John can't express it, so it's these lyrics themselves that serve as the fount of his grief: I ain't got no brother. No wonder Abigail has her own quiet epilogue rendition of this song (and she, too, is a profoundly Lonesome Cowboy in her way, just like Karen, Hosea, Javier, Jack, etc....). Once Arthur is gone from the world, so too is the only person who knew this deeply damaged kid well enough from his wild childhood to really even hope to see into John's heart.
tl;dr: Arthur thinks he's the legendary Lonesome Cowboy, but he's not. He's just lonely, not alone. In reality, the character who is fundamentally alone, truly lonesome, has always been John.

I’d like to see some yandere romantic concept for Sunset Shimmer from MLP please! I love her so much I need something for her! 😍
Can confirm as a fellow Sunset Shimmer fan I adore her too. Been awhile since I've seen Equestria Girls so I'm sorry if she's OOC. This concept takes place in the Human World since I don't do much of those.
Took a classic yandere take with this. Not fully proofread, expect mistakes!
Yandere! Sunset Shimmer Concept
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Fear of abandonment implied, Jealousy, Stalking, Clingy behavior, Violence, Threats/Threats of murder, Brief blood mention, Kidnapping, Isolation, Forced relationship.
Tumblr media
Obviously Sunset Shimmer's yandere type changes depending on if she's a villain or not.
I'll be looking at reformed Sunset Shimmer in this concept, so her after the first movie.
She is the leader of the group when Twilight isn't in the human world.
She's in charge of any magic spikes or magical problems in general.
She knows not a lot of people like her due to what she's done... but she's trying to get better!
She's trying to build her confidence and acts very kind to those around her.
She writes to Twilight often about her findings.
She's intelligent and compassionate... but can lose her composure and temper easily.
Sunset Shimmer tries her best to be a good person... she even manages to make a new friend.
You!
My idea was that Sunset Shimmer's obsession makes her relapse into her old behavior a bit.
She's better now but occasionally might find herself giving into a more selfish and manipulative side.
Her relapsing is unnoticeable to her at first... but soon she realizes it the more she's around you.
When she met you she realized you two get along well.
You often hang out at each other's homes and play games, talk, and just enjoy each other.
Soon Sunset Shimmer starts to develop feelings for you....
You have no clue about her true origins as a Unicorn but she doesn't really plan on telling you... right off.
She's still curious and stunned by her new feelings towards you.
She... she hasn't felt so warm towards anyone before... let alone like this.
She struggles on if she should let Twilight know about such a thing.
Speaking of which... Sunset Shimmer, as Twilight's student, may have a similar yandere type to the princess.
She wants to learn all about her new feelings, she notes everything down about you...
Perhaps even follows you around to an obsessive degree.
She plays it all off as just being clingy.
After all... she's been through a lot... so surely you'll forgive her, right?
Originally doesn't mind you around her group of friends... but soon she ends up jealous.
She may eventually try writing to Twilight... saying she feels overly obsessive and controlling towards you...
However... maybe midway through the letter... she stops.
Why should Twilight know?
What if Twilight sees her affection for you as a bad thing.
What if she takes you away?
As a result, Sunset Shimmer never tells Twilight.
Sun Shim's friends get concerned when they see her always ask about you.
She even glares at people around you... a fire igniting within her whenever she sees others speak to you.
Eventually Sunset Shimmer may give into her darker desires.
The demonic grasp on her heart appears again.
Soon she's threatening others around you and slowly controlling you to spend more time with her.
She tries to ignore the violent thoughts she has... but soon she may act upon those too.
Eventually she confesses to you... opening her heart to you in hopes you'll accept.
If you don't... she doesn't take it well.
In fact... her heart tells her to take you.
To tie you up... to lock you away...
To hide all the evidence of her obsession... no matter how much blood is on her hands.
She apologizes next time she comes to your home... knocking you out and catching you softly.
She doesn't tell a soul once she takes you home and sits you on a bed.
Twilight doesn't need to know... her friends don't need to know...
If anyone asks she'll get rid of them.
You two are meant to be together... she just knows it.
Her dark desires pour into her heart once again... she can't help but kiss you softly when she sees you wake up.
To your dismay... it doesn't seem like she changed at all from before... she's still a selfish demon who only cares for herself in the end.

Nesting urges
Summary: After a talk with Nel about nesting instincts, you decide you'll make one for Grimmjow.
Fluff/reader has powers/gender-neutral reader
Hollows nest. The fact blew your mind the second it registered. But thinking about it calmly, it was tremendously funny. You couldn't picture someone like Grimmjow gathering small branches and crystals around Hueco Mundo without cracking up.
"But he's a cat, isn't he? So, what if he gathers yarn-like materials?" you put in excitedly as you walked through the white desert beside her.
Nel chuckled. "It doesn't work that way. Besides, there's not much here that we can use."
She lowered her gaze, and you felt a pang of guilt. Nel was so easy to be around that you often forgot what she was.
"What do you er- use? I mean, usually."
"It's different for each of us. Some low-ranked hollows make their nest by spitting a mix of bones, branches, and gastric juices. They gather everything together to make colonies with multiple tunnels." She said, trying to ignore the memory of Nnoitra annihilating one of those.
"What about the Espadas?"
"The instinct remains, but we were lucky to evolve. I never heard of an Espada who nested."
"Because it would look weak, I presume?" you ventured.
Nel seemed to ponder, after which she explained that nesting in a place full of many potential threats wasn't exactly comfortable.
The Espadas were supposed to have a sense of companionship. Or so she heard Aizen say. However, given the times that Nnoitra tried to fight her, not to mention what he and Szayel did to her, Nel never thought about doing such a thing in Las Noches. And you guessed no other Espada either.
"It must be awful to crave something you can't have."
"We're used to it."
"You shouldn't be," you whispered, but Nel didn't hear you.  She was busy waving to Pesche and Dondochaca, who eagerly greeted her back in the distance.
***-
Making a nest for Grimmjow could be the best way to give another step in your relationship with him, yet, at the same time, giving him something so personal could end abysmally wrong. The idea roamed your skull for days before you decided to give in.
According to Nel, the first thing on the list was to find a small place. You had the perfect one: a wardrobe spacious enough to fit him. Step two was decorations: You placed multiple layers of sheets, blankets, and quilts aside from a couple of jackets you stole from him. It wound up comfy enough to nap there.
After all the hard work, you only needed to find the right way of presenting your gift to him.
***-
Grimmjow slammed the door open. His gaze darted across the room. Empty. He moved to check the next with a huff. Where the hell were you? The dead head outside Las Noches wouldn't last forever.
Grimmjow didn't know when bringing you trophies of his hunts started to be a habit, but it didn't matter. Now he enjoyed bragging about his strength before you too much to consider stopping.
It seemed like yesterday when Aizen told him he was to guard you: a human with an ability to create untraceable portals between dimensions, typically by using mirrors or other reflecting surfaces as windows to see or pass through. A truly magnificent power to spy on his enemies, Aizen said. A pain in the ass, Grimmjow thought.
The times he had to threaten you to refrain from escaping were too many to count. Despite that, you never matched his violent energy, nor did you return any of his insults. You were stupidly chill all the time; Obsessed with showing him cool things about the world of the living, and as it never failed to entertain him, Grimmjow wound up guiding you through the best parts of Hueco Mundo in return. Time flew when you were around, and Grimmjow felt something close to enjoyment in your company.
But fuck, even if now he didn't despise you, your power was still a pain in the ass.
***-
You gasped at the familiar spiritual pressure approaching. Grimmjow was supposed to be out, hunting far deep into the desert. You shut the small door just when he kicked the room door open.
" 'The hell are you doing here?" he shot with a beyond annoyed tone.
"I- um, I was about to-”
"Who told you you could come back to the human world?" he interrupted.
"Come on. Aizen's not around anymore. I’m- free to come and go as I please,” you said while shrugging, smiling light-heartedly.
Grimmjow gazed down at you for a split second before turning his head. He chuffed. "So what if you are? You still need to open your damn mouth to give me a heads up."
“Alright, I’ll keep it in mind,” you eased.
He grimaced. "Move, we're going back."
He didn’t wait for a response. Grimmjow grabbed your wrist as he began pulling you forward. He didn't like it when you spent time in the human world. It could give you stupid ideas, like never returning to Hueco Mundo.
“No, wait! I want to show you something!”
Grimmjow was not  in the best mood for human stuff. His battle prize must have vanished. He wanted nothing more than to go back and bury himself deep in the sand.
“I said we’re going back.”
It didn’t matter how much you twisted, his grip was too strong to resist. Your feet slipped on the floor as he dragged you.
“Please, I made something for you.”
Grimmjow didn’t falter.
“If you let me show you, I promise I’ll quit asking favors for a while!”
He stopped. Grimmjow glanced at you over his shoulder.
“I promise,” you reiterated.
"Fine," he said before letting go of you. Grimmjow stuffed his hands inside his pockets. He leaned his back over the wall. "Make it quick."
You nodded, turning to open the closet door. Grimmjow froze when the scent hit his nose. His gaze went crazy, darting from one spot to the other. What the hell did you do?
“I found out that this is important to hollows. I know I’m always giving you human stuff you don’t want, so I thought now I could try giving you a hollow thing. You don’t have to use it if you don’t want to.”
Damn, even when it was painfully evident that you were missing a fucking screw, you always managed to give him this revolting mix of unwanted feelings. It irked him.
You observed his reaction closely. A part of you expected wrath. At some point, you pictured a cruel scene where he destroyed it as the worst scenario. Yet, Grimmjow tensed. You resolved maybe it was too personal of a subject for you to be standing there watching.
“Anyway. I’ll pack some things so we can go back.”
You only left the room for half a minute. When you came back, your stunned gaze froze over the scene: Grimmjow's body spread across the small nest you made for him, tummy showing, arms crossed under his head as one of his legs rested over the other one's knee.
"What are you looking at?" Grimmjow asked, his eyes stuck on the wardrobe's top.
You grinned. "Nothing. Hmm, does this mean you like it?"
He scoffed.
"This means I'm not giving you a reason to ask for weird shit for a while. So you better keep your word." Grimmjow stated. His face, however, entirely betrayed his words: his eyes were hooded as he breathed slowly. There was no trace of frowns.
You held your smile with a softened gaze. "I will. Hey, I have to run a couple of errands. We can return to Hueco Mundo when I'm done-"
"No. It'll be a pain in the ass if I have to go looking for you again. Come," he pointed beside him.
It took you aback. "To lay with you? I thought it'd be better if you had some privacy."
"Fuck that. I don't need it. If you make me do ridiculous shit, you won't be spared from having to partake. That way we'll be even, so shut up and come here."
Your heart throbbed. You had shared space before but never like this. Perhaps it was that Grimmjow wasn't comfortable having his corner in a place where it smelled so much like you. Or maybe this was just the hollow way of asking for cuddles.
Be that as it may, the prospect of sharing the nest with him made you tingle.
“Alright, since you ordered it,” you muttered.
Grimmjow pressed his back against the wall to make room next to him. You settled there, leaning your head hesitantly over his shoulder. His Hierro was down. You nuzzled into him, and he let you. The more he did this with you, the easier it turned to let his guard down, as stupid as it sounded.
Grimmjow brushed his mouth on your hair before taking a deep breath. You moved to meet his gaze. Deep, intense, filled with something you couldn’t place. Your fingertips moved to grace the scar over his chest, gently tracing it down near his tummy hole. He hooked your hand harshly.
"Watch it," he warned.
"I know. I won't stick my hand in, don't worry."
"Good, cuz' it'll get swallowed away."
"What?! Really?"
The idea of your hand disappearing inside him startled you enough to try pushing him off you. Grimmjow let out a short, loud laugh. You gaped, frowning.
"Fuck you,"
Grimmjow settled his head comfortably over your head, nestling close to you, ignoring the part of him screaming he shouldn't be giving in to these weird pleasing sensations. To hell with that. This was what he wanted and what he wanted, he would take.
"Yeah, fuck you too."

Sex & Violence in Writing
You might be surprised how similar writing a sex scene and a violent scene are. I'm not suggesting there is something inherently similar between the two, but rather that the craft of writing them can be remarkably alike
1.Subtlety. A strong sex scene and a war/battle/violent scene generally are more successful if they are subtle rather than over-the-top melodramatic. Why? Because both run the risk of sounding either absurd or funny if they're not carefully understated. A sex scene that goes into deep detail of all the anatomical processes can start to sound comedic or gross really fast. And a violent scene about "blood gushing everywhere, spraying like a fountain" or other hyperbolic descriptive language can quickly become gorey to the point of repulsion or humor. Better to leave out some details and focus on the physical only when necessary. Don't forget to utilize the power of the emotional for both kinds of scenes - characters' feelings & thought processes. Authors can get so caught up in the actions and movement of bodies, they forget the internal significance of scenes like this. And writing in a more subtle way usually helps with this problem.
2. Language: This goes off the last point. An author must be careful which words he/she chooses when writing a sex scene. Too formal and it'll sound to your readers like they are reading a surgery or anatomy book. Too in-depth and casual and it becomes prno/graphic or obscene. Also, some terms for genitalia can be offensive or read as hateful when that isn't the author's intention. I personally strongly dislike the c-word used to describe a woman’s vagina and will stop reading as soon as I confront it. (Let me interrupt myself here to say I am far more forgiving if a character uses a word like this in dialogue or thoughts. I expect characters to have different voices, some of them more grotesque. If you, the author, are using words like this, it can come off as very distatesful.) Regardless, make sure you know the different connotations of different words. Some are more vulgar than others. Same goes with fight/violent scenes. I've read too many scenes where the author dwells in the violence in an almost indulgent/romantic way. This feels sadistic and gratuitous. Also, please make sure you understand the correct anatomy for sex scenes AND fight scenes before you start. Many straight authors will portray gay sex incorrectly, for example. Or an author will write a battle scene where the weapons are not clear and/or the wounds don't align with the actual actions. You can get away with a lot by having an ignorant character, but if you're not informed as a writer, it is usually pretty apparent to more experienced readers. Do research if you need to, but choose your diction carefully.
3. Seriousness: This one is important to me personally. I've read so many stories where the authors go straight to the sex and violence without developing the plot/characters enough for me to understand the importance of either of those actions. Of course genre matters for your particular intentions, but I stand by the fact that for most fiction, authors want sex scenes and scenes of violent tragedy to mean something. And it can't mean much if you rush through the story to get to these points. These types of scenes require a certain kind of seriousness, an almost tender quality. (Yes, even for violence!) Because often these moments are life-altering for our characters, they need to be altering for readers as well.

I could share my works in progress and all the the things i'm working on related to those things or I can throw out cute headcannons and I think I have a preference so here are all the cute sleepy headcannons I've got
Heralds Sleepy Headcannons
John gets whiney when he's sleepy. Borderline nonsensical in speech as he gets more tired, his voice goes up a little bit and his old southern accent starts to slip out. Once actually convinced to go to bed, he isn't exactly a peaceful sleeper. He tosses and turns a little bit unless he's holding something (or someone) and he mumbles in his sleep. He can and will get mad at you about something you did in his dream.
How Jacob sleeps is entirely dependent on whether or not someone reads to him or helps soothe him to sleep. He refuses to admit he's tired if he's in the middle of doing something, but it takes a while to catch the little warning signs of his for when he's gone too long between siestas. He talks less, stares off into space, kind of agitated. Generally though, unlike John, he doesn't need to be convinced to go to bed. He's actually an adult about his sleep schedule, mainly because he's learned to value every second of sleep he gets. When soothed, he sleeps like a log, unmoving and peaceful. He snores, but its not very loud. Its more like a low rumbling you can't really hear unless you lay your head on his chest. Left to his own sleep care, he thrashes in his sleep. He mumbles borderline incoherent statements about whatever nightmare is plaguing him, and his prone to sleep walking. He's been a sleep walker since he was little, but it got better as he got older, only to return full force once his time in the service was over. Their mother use to say he was a "walker and a screamer," so at least he doesn't scream anymore. It is very rare that during a nightmare he ever gets physically violent or acts out the actions in his dreams, but it has happened before. As such, he's very hesitant to let people around him when he's tired or near him when he's sleeping.
Joseph sleeps flat on his back with his arms crossed over his chest. Always has. Everyone thinks its weird, but he doesn't get it. He also sleeps fully clothed, which he also doesn't understand why people say is weird. His visions often plague him in his sleep, so he does actively sleep talk. It is rather common for people who sleep in the same room as him to be able to have complete conversations with him while he's asleep, only for him to not remember them when he wakes up. When sleeping in a bed with someone else, he prefers to be the little spoon.
Faith is a very light sleeper, something she attributes to her "sinful past." Every small noise from the creak of a floorboard to someone she breathing differently than normal wakes her. Once woken up, she has a very difficult time going back to sleep. Fortunately for her, Bliss tends to make people very sleepy. She's a professional napper at this point. Sleeping through the night might not be easy but there's plenty of quiet, secluded places to get an hour or two throughout the day. Generally a rather fidgety person, the only time she's ever truly still is when she's asleep.
Assorted Guns For Hire and Side Character Sleepy Headcannons
Sharky snores like a freight train. Saws logs like nobody's business. Very avid cuddler, but if he's holding you when he falls asleep? Good luck getting out of that death grip, babe.
Pastor Jerome sleep preaches. He mumbles whatever sermon he was planning before bed in his sleep. He thinks people are joking when they tell him about it. They really aren't.
Kim swears up and down that Nick snores loud enough to send her to the couch most nights. He claims this is blasphemy. She laughs about it.
If you thought Adelaide was loud when she's awake, you should try sleeping in a house with her. While her snoring is sporadic, it is very loud. Xander will try to convince you it's cute.

your tags on that fandom post got me thinking of how... defensive fandom is of the status quo kinda? like I'm white so this might come off like I'm absolving myself which I'm not, but so often I see "fandom is a queer run space that fixes canon! buuuut we're going to focus on the white men because they're the only ones with depth :) and we're going to make actually good female characters cookie cutter. and we're going to ignore black men and especially black women. but queer run safe space!!"
the minute i got this ask i knew i had to wait until i was at home with my laptop because my fingers cannot fly as fast on my phone as they can on the computer keys. this is literally so much of what is happening in the buffy fandom. the whole thing is built on intrinsic systemic racism n misogyny that's reinforced within the show and that many in the fandom do not critically engage with in the slightest. it is absolutely objectively insane to me that i can make a post going, for example, "hey, isn't it fucked up as hell that the show treats the romani people as evil for wanting angel to suffer?" and then people will come into my inbox or land in my reblogs and go "well, actually, the show treats the romani people as shortsighted and bad at long-term planning, and i choose to read them that way too :)" and fully not see that there is a hell of a problem with THAT statement as well (real thing that happened). OR that kennedy hate is still hugely in vogue because she's mean and bratty and terrible and doesn't know her place!!! OR kendra's death & how easily she is forgotten by the fandom!!!!! OR the entire trend of handing buffy to a person's favorite character like a little trophy they've earned for being tortured and sad, reducing her to a facet of a romantic relationship & implying that this is what she needs to feel and be complete!
OR OH MY GOD THE ENTIRETY OF EVERYTHING SURROUNDING SPIKE. where do i even start with spike. completely serious, i am honestly endlessly impressed by the people who can still handle being fans of spike, because being a fan of spike means having to wade through 20 million fics where That Bitch Buffy must be narratively punished for abusing poor baby spike who only ever wanted to love her and was totally out of character every time he hurt her (and also drusilla is a vapid whore who didn't love spike, ever.) like i am not at this point in time always strong enough to engage with spike content simply because there is so much spike content that is SOAKED in violent misogyny repackaged as Deep, Torrid Romance. it's exhausting to try and find the good stuff when sometimes even the good stuff will throw you a curveball in chapter five or shy uncomfortably away from the racist realities of spike's character. the fact that robin wood has been hated for so long because he had the Nerve and the Audacity to want retribution for his mom, and that he is framed as in the wrong for wanting that, is in and of itself so fucking upsetting to me.
AN Y WAY. i agree with you. and i get what you're saying. i think an awareness of the pattern and a willingness to feel uncomfortable within your own mistakes is always a good place to start. i try so hard never to dig my heels in if i can avoid it.

hello! i love your meta, and i think you routinely have the best takes on azula i've ever read - the way you are able to articulate the ability for a younger sibling to abuse their older sibling, how that's rooted in her father's abuse of both his children, how that doesn't change the fact that the character grows into one who becomes an abuser herself.
you have a quote from a while back where you say "I've been thinking about this a lot in terms of people saying they want to see Azula be "humanized," and what they usually mean is that they want to see her given redeeming qualities," and also pointed out the research on how abusers being given support from therapy often enables them into increased mistreatment.
as a person working through their own traumas re: abuse, do you have any insights on how to reconcile abusers in real life? you brought up Zuko asking Azula "why" - but the answer (i think) is simply that she wanted to. and i haven't figured out how to deal with that in my own history yet, much less how that would affect broader public policy issues around ~dealing with~ (for lack of a better term) abusers.
it's easy for me to be an abolitionist for non violent drug offenders. but i don't know how a better society would deal with my ex or my mom, for example. and i don't necessarily think locking them away is the answer... but i don't know what is
Hi, thank you for the compliment on my meta!
I'm afraid I cannot give you personal advice because I don't know you or your specific situation, and of course I am not saying that all abusers do not get better in therapy. But it is common for people who have learned that they can get what they want by manipulating others to learn how to manipulate better by learning what is expected of them and how to say the right things.
That's why it's generally not a good idea to try and fix an abusive person yourself or count on them to change first. A lot of abusers try and keep people dependent on them this way, because they know how to use your caring for them against you.
And yeah, one of the problems with the way people psychoanalyze Azula is that there is a hesitance to admit that she treated people badly because she wanted to, and she was rewarded for that behavior by her father and her mother's disapproval was not enough to combat that, until her friends and her brother started standing up to her and no longer allowing her to behave that way towards them, and she got to the point where her father was no longer rewarding her because she got too ambitious, as is inevitable when a child outgrows a parent who is enmeshed with them in that way.
I mean, of course Azula was abused, and of course there is the damage that happens when a child is raised the way Azula does. Even allowing that Azula did not bear the brunt of Ozai's abuse, just abusing Zuko in front of Azula is itself a form of abuse. It erodes Azula's sense of safety because she knows the same thing could happen to her if she's not good enough.
But a lot of people confuse that with the idea that Azula was forced to treat Zuko badly, which she absolutely was not forced to do. We don't ever see Ozai tell Azula that she's too good to play with Zuko or that she has to be mean to him. He teaches her how to treat Zuko through example, but the picture some people paint of an Azula who didn't really want to hurt her brother just isn't true. In fact, it's because of Ozai's example that Azula got such satisfaction out of hurting Zuko, because it made her feel good to be seen as better than Zuko in her father's eyes.
People don't like to engage with that aspect of Azula. They need to file off the edges to make her a sympathetic victim. Like you mentioned, there's this idea that she isn't "human" otherwise, even though her joy in Zuko's suffering is a very human emotion. And she does enjoy it.
People often talk about redemption arcs when they talk about this, but I'm gonna mention one of the most recent and well-loved corruption arcs in media, and pull a scene from Breaking Bad. One of the most famous scenes at the end of the show is when Skylar tells Walter that she doesn't want to hear any more excuses about how the things he did were because of the family. Walter's response is to interrupt her and say:
I did it for me. I did it because I liked it. And I was good at it.
It's one of the most evocative scenes primarily because it hurts to see Walter go down the path he goes down from the beginning to the end, but at no point is he anything other than tragically human. And finally, finally, we see him admit that nothing that he did was for the benefit of others.
Azula liked what she was doing. And she was very, very good at it. And she saw no reason to be unhappy about it until it wasn't working for her anymore. And even then, she blamed others for her unhappiness instead of acknowledging that they had a right to want to be treated better.
Note that I'm not saying Azula and Walter White are remotely similar as characters, and ATLA and Breaking Bad are very different stories in very different genres. But I bring up BB as an example because I see too many people claiming that the only interesting or human story worth telling is one where everyone gets redemption, and that idea can be harmful especially to people in real life who have been victimized who are struggling with the idea that they need to see the goodness in their abusers.
Anyway, I am sorry to hear about your personal experiences and although I cannot say what is best for you, I do hope you find peace and I want you to know that you have a right to that peace.

In a recent post you said James probably kept his bullying of snape away from lily (pre SWM) (hence why lily probably isn’t taking snape’s complaints seriously) but during swm James seems to be actively trying to get Lilys attention through the violence/bullying, why do you think this situation was different for him? Presumably he kept it away from her because it doesn’t make him look great so then why would he switch up and be so blatant about his assholery in front of her? I never quite understood this tactic lmao
Tbh I think this is more about Rowling's flaw as a writer than anything that makes sense in canon. Especially given how much she romanticizes James without giving him any kind of real redemption, and how she talks about him and Sirius in interviews ie. that they're bad boys and "women will understand" what she means by this. James is also very blatantly based on Rowling's abusive first husband, as many people have pointed out.
I think people who don't understand the experience of abuse for a victim have a difficult time with seeing the ways Rowling's own experiences inform her writing, sometimes consciously and sometimes unconsciously (which isn't to make any assumptions about your own experiences by any means!). The reason someone becomes a victim of persistent abuse is because they have an emotional attachment to their abuser, otherwise they would have left after the first incident (strictly speaking of romantic relationships here, family abuse obviously has somewhat different dynamics). An abuser isn't all vicious all the time - there are also moments of affection and vulnerability, sometimes sincere, sometimes deliberately manipulative, sometimes both at the same time. A victim often sees their abuser as someone complex who needs empathy and who they just need to placate. Victims also often feel responsible for their own abuse, because abusers tend toa gaslight them. Each person's experience is different, but if you look at the clinical descriptions of abusive relationships, ie. the cycles of physical/emotional abuse followed by apologies and/or gifts/love bombing, gaslighting, and victim blaming, and look at them from the perspective of the person receiving the abuse, you can start to see how victims might make excuses for their abusers and minimize their ugly parts, focusing more on their attractive attributes. This is also often a necessarily coping mechanism for survival in this kind of relationship.
While Rowling unwittingly draws a parallel between school bullies and violent abusers with James' character (and after all, bullying is on the abuse spectrum), SWM memory would be an unlikely scenario even in a real life British boarding school bullying scenario. Although bullying victims at these schools get abused horribly, and although other students witness it and can even cheer it on, and teachers are sometimes even aware of it happening, the unusual thing about SWM is that it happens out in the open. Teachers at these schools may look the other way despite knowing there's bullying, but students know not to do it in front of staff, because the latter are still obliged to dole out punishment (and part of this culture is to not only separate the bullies from the victims but to teach bullies how to get away with it *gestures at the Houses of Parliament*).
So it seems very uncharacteristic for James, both as someone who displays abusive behavior (and is based on an abuser) and knows how to hide his abusive behavior, to attack another student so openly. We also know that on the occasions he was caught hexing other students in the halls (and presumably there were plenty of incidents he got away with too), he was disciplined. The fact that a detention is a slap on the wrist to a student who's had dozens of similar infractions already is a whole other post, but the point is that when this behavior is caught, it's punished. If hexing a student by enlarging their head in the halls is worthy of a detention, then what might waterboarding, hoisting, and pantsing another student warrant? Would a bully like James really risk getting caught by attacking another student so egregiously, and given the length of the incident, is it really possible that not one teacher saw the crowd from a window and went to investigate?
I think the point of James' actions in SWM was that Rowling needed a narrative tool. She needed to make Harry question his father, to drop a bit of exposition about Snape without revealing too much, and to set up the eventual reveal at the end of the series. I don't think Rowling did as much character development with James and Lily as we'd like to think (and they barely show up as it is), so I don't think she thought through whether James' assault of Snape and how it's done is in line with his character all that much. It served her needs as a writer and that was enough for her. It wasn't the first time she treated a character like this.
I also think that James is in some ways a struggle between Rowling's conscious and subconscious when it comes to her processed and unprocessed abuse experiences. At the risk of psychoanalzying someone who's a complete stranger (and also because I'm not a trained therapist), I think it's worth noting that abuse victims who have processed their trauma in healthy ways generally don't become avid spokespeople for bigotry, despite how vulnerably everyone is, as a rule, to being radicalized. People with unprocessed, active trauma do tend to be more vulnerable to it. James Potter, a character who's described as looking like Jorge Arantes (Rowling's abusive first husband), whose personality is described as entitled and who enacts casual violence on other students, sure seems like a projection of Rowling's abuser. She also began to write Harry Potter as both a personal form of escapism from that relationship, and a very real one in how she hid her manuscript from him and essentially leveraged its success into getting out of that marriage. At the same time she puts James on a pedestal, shows him as loving and heroic throughout the series, and has written a prequel story romanticizing him and Sirius.
Although Harry leaves SWM feeling rattled at what he witnesses his dad doing, and even acknowledges that he seemed to be as arrogant and awful as Snape had always said, he doesn't do much further thinking about it. He asks Sirius and Lupin about it, who don't deny any of it and excuse it as youthful foolishness, and Harry, who has experienced both abuse and bullying firsthand (and has connected this immediately with Snape's experience at his father's hand), accepts this easily and moves on, keeping his father on his pedestal. I can't help but think that this is a manifestation of Rowling's own issues, ie. the ability to identify abuse but also excuse it at her own expense long enough to end up in a bad and violent situation.
It's hard not to see the way she writes James as a projection of her own feelings as an abuse victim of "yeah I know he's awful and he doesn't treat me right but also I really want to fuck him." Especially given that she describes James as a "bad boy" and talks in interviews not only about finding his bad traits attractive, but assumes this is a universal perspective among women. Aside from SWM, the reader generally walks away from the HP books with a perception of James as a paternal, heroic figure, because that's what Rowling wants them to take away from his character; it's how she sees him. His abusive behaviors are a footnote specific to Snape's experience of him. Rowling literally creates an abuse victim and then gaslights him. Again, at the risk of psychoanalyzing a stranger, I have a hard time not seeing this as a blatant projection of her own experiences and the muddled, unprocessed trauma she has.
All in all I think James' behavior in SWM is out of character because Rowling's approach to his character was too complicated. He's not a three dimensional character but a storytelling vehicle who says and does things for sake of plot development, and sometimes that means his actions make no sense if you start to think about it.

jb for the ship asks?
jaime and brienne are truly a breaking of fourth wall. it is george turning to his audience and going "you DO get what is going on in this world, don't you? tell me you get it." he does that with tyrion in ADWD, too, and i just love it when george goes meta.
i think they are the most romantic thing to ever happen in asoiaf because of the way they are the embodiment of the true problem of love and courtly romance in westeros which is patriarchy and misogyny and the absolutely insane cages of gender these characters are in. it's very hard for me to get jaime and brienne without jaime and cersei as contrast. this is a jaime/brienne/cersei situation.
what if you grew up as a man, believing you were born to reclaim the fate of a true man - knighthood and glory - and it turns out in real life this just means violence and bloodshed. what if you cope with the horrors of feudalism and patriarchy by blending into one single golden unit with your twin sister who is you who are your sister and that goes on forever. what if you fed each other's cruelty, and bred monsters into the world, and death, and it's all perfect and golden because you're each other's reflection.
what if you often thought if you were a woman you'd be your sister because who else could you possibly be - but of course you'd never be a woman hahahaha this is crazy. of course you are not a woman. (but your sister is, and your sister is you. so what does that even mean? you never think about it, you just disappear inside.) what if your sister is trapped in a house of violence you can only bear witness to, but do nothing about, even with the sword in hand and a white cloak around your shoulders, because this is the fate of all women - marriage and motherhood at whatever cost. what if this isn't even the first time you bear witness to a king being violent to a queen in this same castle in this same bedroom. and your sister thinks if she were a man she'd be you but hahahahah this is crazy, obviously, of course your sister is not a man. (but you are a man and you are your sister. and she is being sacrificed in the altar of gender conformity that is monarchy and you are standing by the door because you are a man and you are a knight - you are thinking, what does that even mean? you disappear inside again.)
what if you believe this is really all there is to being a knight, to being a man, to being a person?
and then what if you meet a woman who is, as far as you can understand it, a better man than you: by being a better knight, by simply being a better human being?
pairing of all time. they don't even need to fuck for it to be real. i think there's a undertone of tragedy in them - i can't imagine jaime ending this series as a happily married man to brienne, i don't even know if both of them will survive, but like. i'm not expecting the next books for them to be canon because in my head jaime and brienne are already a canon relationship of true courtly romance.
(Post edit: might be the reason why I usually don't read fluffy fanfiction of them because it often goes the way of... they will get married and have babies and rule casterly rock together! and while I think it's okay to forge happy endings for beloved characters - i'm a sansa/tyrion shipper, i do this all the time lol - i think there is something apocalyptic about this ship. Like they have the power to ruin this system. Spiritually. I mean, i still read braime fic because the writers are just too good but. I like endings when one of them die. Or jaime goes to the Wall! I like this one too. Or at least they escape Westeros together lol anyway. It is also why i'm also EXTREMELY wary of some jaime ships who just play harder into the gender conformity that i think jaime and brienne are, canonically, breaking and ruining.)
so. basically there is no one else for jaime and brienne but jaime and brienne themselves. perfect pairing. i'd say maybe the only canon pairing ever

Maid-Master
Navier and/or Medea (one of them is fine)
The reader is her maid, and she's had a love for them since she was a child, but due to problems caused by Sovieshu/Eros, the reader is forced to serve Rashta/Psyche instead, which Navier/Medea will not let happen peacefully.
(I hope I'm not being rude or anything like that, but would you put female characters in your "Trash Of The Count Family" in the future?)
| | Trying to get your servitude back | |
Tumblr media
Character(s): Medea Solon and Navier Ellie Trovi
TW: Blindly trusting someone, themes of manipulation, threats of violence, yelling, allusions to abuse, mild yandere themes
Notes: Gender neutral MC but you're referred to as a maid || Maid!MC || AORBKAD OH YEAH! I was gonna add them before but I forgot to. I've added them now though <3
Tumblr media
[ Medea ]
Medea doesn't like anything happening to those she cares about. That she makes that very clear and yet despite this Eros insisted that you start serving Psyche. You, the one person that Medea had told him not to touch or even look at because you were her personal maid and she refused to have another other than you
So it's no surprise that she wants to get violent over it. She's already wanting to ruin Psyche for taking her place and now for taking you
She isn't subtle about it either, throwing herself right in front of you to shield you away from their eyes when the order is ruled in as if it would stop it from being true if they couldn't see you
She argues and it's clear that she's close to blowing up at all of them which many wish to avoid due to her reputation including Psyche who asks that you stay with Medea since you are closest to her but Eros insists and Medea is left to simmer in her rage
Her punishment from her father only accentuates her anger, his mention of the fact that it would be good for her not to have any distractions since she was starting to get too close to you despite having things like her loss to Psyche to have to make up for
She knows that it would be foolish to go against Eros directly and perhaps conferring with Psyche would be an easier alternative but her hatred for her overshadowed her better judgement
She's angry and unfocused for a time, lashing out more often and doing everything she can to keep you close to her, going as far as feeling betrayed when you have to leave because your putting Psyche over her but you can't deny Eros' orders
So she does what she's best at and plans, trying to keep from more irrational plans like kidnapping you and putting you under house arrest, her anger at having you taken from her muddling her mind before she comes up with the plan of having you be seen as unfit to server Psyche and someone that Medea didn't care about. She knew that it was partially because of how close you were to her that he chose you specifically
Not so far that Eros would feel the need to punish you or course but far enough that he would feel the need to have you removed but she has to tell you everything before hand. Her plan and her intentions so you don't misunderstand
Spilled wine and broken tea sets follow as you try to do your work and you know it's Medea's doing when she spills the wine on you herself but you bear with it. Her intelligence isn't so well spoken about for no reason and you already knew her plan
It isn't long until you're removed from your position as Psyche's maid. There are whispers about how much Medea despises you and your incapability as a maid but Medea doesn't care. She can make them go away in seconds. What she does care about it that you're with her now and completely out of Psyche and Eros' reach
[ Navier ]
While she doesn't get violently angry, everyone can see the change in her mood. She's even somewhat distant to her own maids, people that she could consider friends, but they weren't you
Shovietsu knew that you were her favourite maid. He was fully aware from this and she had made this clear. She invited you to her outings, met her brother with you, even took you to visit her parents many a time
Everyone, Shovietsu especially, could see that she cared for you and a lot for that matter so, when he sends you to work for Rashta, she's rather surprised
When she thinks about it, it may have been irrational to be so obviously close with you so of course Shovietsu would want to separate the two of you if he was already trying to disrupt Navier's position but she's still surprised at the fact that he could even think to do that
She goes as far as to believe that you weren't his maid to be able to cast a change to your schedule because you've always been her maid. You grew up together and, beyond being emperor, Shovietsu had no authority over you but the fact that he was the emperor was the problem
She knows she doesn't have as much power as the emperor and causing a ruckus over someone, even if they were a childhood friend, would be deemed as suspicious while she was married
So she makes it as difficult as possible for you to do your job. She certainly isn't going to allow Rashta to take her closest friend and certainly not the person that she would say is the only one that she loved
She doesn't want to see you struggle but it's the easiest way to have Shovietsu fire you and have Navier reinstate you as her maid and she discusses this with you before hand and, having known her for do long, you trust her of course
She has more power than Rashta so when she tells you to stay with her, you stay, when she tells you to do something for her, you do it, all without question, leaving Rashta largely unattended without her personal maid
She stands up for you when he yells and refutes any punishments that he tries to give you for your neglect of his mistress. You know that it's probably wrong to leave the mistress unattended but you trust Navier. She's usually right so why would you question her?
Especially when it works in your favour and you get privately reinstated as Navier's maid again. Now she can have you close to her and as far away from Rashta as she can get you

Not me thinking about how perfectly matched Athena and Simon are and why it is they got along so well in the before times.
Both of them are pretty closed-off in their own right - Simon being Simon and Athena being allergic to people - but their respective traits allow them both to see past the surface-level stone wall they've built around themselves.
Athena can literally hear how Simon is feeling when he speaks. Even when he's actively hiding his emotions in his effort to take the fall for UR-1 she can tell off the bat that something isn't right, even if she doesn't remember what happened in the robotics lab that day. In the present she'd be able to see (hear?) past his cold and violent front. The old kindhearted Simon is still very much there (and demonstrated in his attitude to characters like Jinxie, Juniper, and Owen) beneath the surface and she'd know better than anyone else.
Simon meanwhile was best suited to get along with Athena. He's not a fan of unnecessary talk and often incidentally trains people like the Judge and Fulbright into following his non-verbal cues. Fulbright especially - having spent the most time with Simon - clocks what he wants out of him faster than anyone. It's not shown often, though viscious act aside he does show some gentleness towards younger characters like the three I already mentioned; dropping his act towards Jinxie, urging Juniper to serve her teacher's name well, course-correcting when Athena's being too harsh questioning Owen, etc. More importantly, he has a well-developed sense of others, their needs and wants. While he usually leverages that for the sake of psychological warfare these days, it could also serve as a key reason for why he got along so well with Athena and her mother. I've said it a few times already but he knows them beyond their stoic or otherwise awkward exteriors. He knows Athena in particular so well that he still demonstrates an in-depth understanding of her motives and foibles despite being separated for 7 straight years. In a mere 3 encounters (which are a few months apart!) he manages to pick up on the person she's become and acts accordingly. Jury's out on whether she ever visited him in prison in the time between, if he would even allow it.
Both characters have traits that would let them see past the other's walls and understand their needs better than most others. It's a powerful bond forged by a mutual understanding and respect for the other that few people could innately have. Even if Athena was a pain to handle in childhood and Simon is an ass today, they could tell there's a kind and powerfully compassionate person beyond those things who is worth saving - even if it meant dying or facing an unspeakable truth.
They were hand-made to understand each other.

Drawing characters (my favourites) as cats: Pt. 1
Nosfer-cat-u???? Real??
Note: All of these are my personal headcanons... Gonna write some kitty headcanons under too because I am silly like that and cringe culture is dead :3
1. Kitty (Herr) Knock!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here is kitty Knock headcanons!
I'd imagine him to be an orange ragdoll cat!! Orange cats are generally known from what I've seen for being peculiar little guys, so I thought that would fit Knock very nicely for being out of the ordinary and silly. I honestly chose the ragdoll because of the fluffy appearance of their fur but reading into it, they can be affectionate and friendly too. And they love belly rubs. Perhaps he is a friendly cat who originally wanted attention and love for people but after being shunned for being abnormal, he gave up.
Ragdolls are intelligent too, whilst orange cats are known for the opposite. I reckon that Knock seems unintelligent with some of the things he does (getting stuck in high places, running into things etc.) But he is actually quite a smart cat in reality.
He's definitely a stray cat who was abandoned at some point on the streets and had to survive on his own until finding Orlok </3 Poor guy
He likes smaller animals, especially rats. The ones cats are meant to kill, Knock does not. He refuses to.
He is quite an old kitty (hence the gray fur parts), but he's still full of life!
He's also extra mischievous. I reckon >:3
Hes very dirty, his furr is matted and he also has fleas because he hasnt been groomed :(
What did this poor cat do to have the whole town after him </3 /j
Kitty (Count) Orlok
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: For kitty Orlok, I wanted him to have light gray skin but it was too late when I realised the gray was way darker than I wanted it to be :( I have new pens coming in a few days so I can redo Orlok
But anyways, kitty Orlok headcanons;
But yeah, I think Orlok to be a Sphynx cat. Ive heard others talk about how unappealing and somewhat creepy Sphynx cats look (honestly, how dare they >:[) and I think it's sorta the way a supernatural vampire like a creature would be viewed. Despite all this, Sphynx cats for their loyal and intelligent, which I imagine could be overlooked when seeing kitty Orlok. (You can probably guess who he's loyal to)
I also intentionally made him extra spooky looking too. He has lifeless white eyes and sharp claws, with lots of wrinkles and a tall, lanky stature to catch the creepy aura. I also imagine he can make himself look taller willingly in order to look extra terrifying when he needs or wants to be feared.
Kinda messed it up a little too but dark purple collar. I didnt know what to put for the little tag so diamond shape because hes extra fancy like that.
Hes always been a stray cat, getting used to being alone since he was a mere kitten. He doesn't really get visitors often so imagine his surprise when a peculiar occurance is present and a specific orange cat finds and befriends him.
Despite Sphynx cats having an affectionate nature, Orlok isn't really the most affectionate cat at all. He can be quite violent, which pulls most people away in itself.
Kitty Ellen (Hutter)!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Last but not least, Kitty Ellen headcanons!
I honestly dont know why I chose the Scottish fold. Just saw some photos and for some reason went "Fuck yeah, Ellen!!"
Unlike the other two, Id imagine Ellen to actually have a pet owner who possibly has both Thomas and Ellen living in the house.
No doubt she'd be spoiled to death, with a fancy pretty collar and a fancy little tag to go with it.
She likes watching birds outside the window because I said so >:]
Even though she has the chance to go outside like Id imagine Thomas to do, Ellen actually feels more comfortable just lounging around in the house and just doing cat things. Sure she will explore outside sometimes but she doesn't bother with it too much.
Shes a friendly affectionate cat who likes attention sometimes.
Yeah I dont have as many headcanons for Ellen as I do the other two surprising
And that's all I have for my Nosferatu cat AU. This is so dumb but I love it and it gave me the excuse to practice drawing different types of kitties! Im not sure for this how accurate everything is but Aaahhh

Just Another Day: All You Need to Know
WAZUP GUYZ!? I realized I never shared anything about the characters in most of my content publicly, so I decided to make a short guide on the basics of JAD for those who are interested!
______________________
"He who never rests, who loves being with his friends, explore the world until the end. Needless to say, they've seen things none can explain, but hey... it's just another day!"
Tumblr media
DESCRIPTION
Just Another Day is a PG indie series, following a dude who loves to explore what the world has to offer while he still can, alongside his friends! Even if it means all that exploring often leads them to face danger, the thrill cures their boredom anyway.
WHO ARE THEY?
Tumblr media
Oh, them? Those are the main three: Kyle, Mike, and Ash.
"We aren't all that perfect, but we're alwayz up for sum fun!"
They share a strong bond built on years of friendship. They are often loyal to each other, and if things ever go wrong, they'll always have each others backs... sort of. Their friendship is filled with adventures and shared interests, such as exploring and playing games together. They also like to vlog random stuff they do, just because they think it's funny or content worthy.
However, they can sometimes be too competitive or arrogant, leading to arguments and conflicts, especially when it comes to games or other activities where they want to outdo each other. But despite these flaws, their friendship endures, and they always find a way to reconcile and continue their adventures together.
Tumblr media
Kyle
He embodies the curiosity and energy typically associated with pre-adolescence. He likes to spend time with his friends Mike and Ash, he's mostly curious or bored and likes to explore surroundings he isn't familiar with. He can also come off as competitive when it comes to fun games he wants to take part in.
Tumblr media
Mike
Kyle's bestest friend; his partner in crime. He has a funny and loud yet caring and gentle personality. He's a coward and a sweetie, he would never hurt a fly. but if you mess with his loved ones, he will end your life. He has a habit of eating. He's also pretty good at math, but he doesn't bring it up much.
Tumblr media
Ash
She's trendy, short-tempered, and a bit sassy. She finds humor in situations and can be honest and genuine. Ash is into fiction books, K-dramas, and has expertise in romantic relationship advice. While she can be violent and aggressive when provoked, she is generally a nice person.
But wait! there's another fella...
Tumblr media
it's Frank, the robot!
"They're so annoying, they never let me do cool trickz! but they do all the chorez for me, so whateva. It's cool, I guezz."
They share a unique bond, with Frank serving as both a friend and a caretaker to Kyle. Frank's overprotective nature can sometimes smother Kyle, making him feel restricted or controlled. So he often takes their assistance for granted, failing to appreciate the extent of their care and support.
Although Kyle mostly seems pretty annoyed by their presence, he doesn't realize how much he needs them around. Not even just because he could potentially be in danger in person, but also for the sake of his sanity whenever no one else is with him at home.
Tumblr media
Frank
They're a robot designed by Kyle's parents to watch over and serve Kyle while they're not present. They're a very nice and kind robot, only ever showing pure kindness and sympathy. They will do anything to make sure he's healthy and safe. They also try to be funny sometimes, but Kyle and his friends just think it's lame.
Tumblr media
Despite being the literal shield of the group, Kyle and the others often find Frank's attempts at humor annoying, and they occasionally tease Frank for being a robot, which can hurt their feelings despite their lack of emotions. Additionally, their literal-mindedness and occasional misunderstandings of human emotions can lead to friction with the group.
However, despite these challenges, Frank doesn't really mind the treatment. It's kinda their job to watch over them. As long as Kyle and the others are still alive and kickin', Frank's happy!
______________________
Anyways, that's all you need to know about Just Another Day (JAD) for now!
Though you might have noticed I didn't mention other characters that were also present in some of my content. that's because I only added the more important aspects of JAD; Those fellas were more so just background characters. I don't mind sharing about them though! I just didn't wanna bother adding them in this post is all.
Thx 4 Reading! Hope this helped. ^^ If you have any questions, just ask in the Q&A!

Got any Julie headcanons to spare? From general stuff (like appearance) to more... Specific stuff (like gender identity and voice). I would love to read them mun. Plus your art is wonderful and very cute to look at (I truly mean that)
(I have quite a few Julie headcanons! As the universe of DBD is functionally a multiverse where characters can have small differences between iterations of themselves it's fun to play with those kinds of alternatives and differences.
For my Julie's appearance I draw heavily on greasy 90s aesthetics and in particular Billy Loomis - the Legion is at its core a Scream reference and I personally thought making Frank "the Billy" is a little too obvious, too easy. That's why you'll see I often draw her with short greasy brown hair lol.
Gender-wise the version of her seen on this blog is a trans woman (and Frank in parallel as a trans man). I think a lot of the "horror" in suburban horror comes from feelings of isolation or even persecution in your community and as a trans person who was once an edgy and angry teenager I think it's fun to explore the Legion from that angle.
I'd never really thought about her voice! I think the female Legion voice in the game sounds a lot more like Susie to me than Julie, though. For me I'd really look to female vocalists from the 90s like Courtney Love or Donita Sparks.
I do imagine Julie's parents would be relatively supportive if ignorant (since it Was the 90s) and that acceptance would be a bright spot in an otherwise very distant relationship. Julie hides a lot of herself from her parents, as seen in the comics, trying hard to make them think she's just a normal girl. But smothering those parts of herself is obviously very painful and isolating for her too.
I think Julie projects a strong air of confidence but actually has a lot of negative views of herself. Not in being traditionally self-hating but I think in a truly teenage way she thinks there's something wrong with her, that she's evil by nature. Obviously she's just a troubled kid who needed her emotional needs acknowledged instead of being ignored, but that's something she was never mature enough to realize (and never will be, now! It's very sad).
At the time of being in the Entity I think she strongly believes that without her push and her influence, the other members of Legion probably never would've killed anybody, but that she was always going to end up here. It's kind of a moot point because she also realizes they were all too enmeshed and were never going to split up and she was always going to corrupt them (and I think this is an anxiety she shares with Frank, who probably sees himself as a violent rot that tainted all his friends).
Other smaller headcanons: I like to imagine that Julie has an older brother, but there's a large gap between them so he was already out of the house by the time she was in elementary school. He's a successful and well-adjusted man which just makes her feel more fucked by comparison.
Her family isn't rich or anything but is relatively well-off. She has a car (in some canons?) and unlike Joey didn't need to work to buy it for herself. She gets a reasonable allowance and is kinda the "friend who rents movies" and "the friend who buys dinner" when other people don't have the money to do it.
She likes gothic metal, favoring bands like Tiamat, Type O Negative, Lacuna Coil, etc.
Thank you for the compliment!! I appreciate that you like the blog. I should probably post more haha but I've been burnt out of late. Asks like this are very encouraging!)
