8 - dancing with the music

In the rehearsal room, music pulsed through the room as Sakura and Yeonjun moved with grace, demonstrating their modern dance skills. The attentive eyes of their colleagues followed every movement of the two talented dancers.

Meanwhile, Kazuha, the youngest of the group and the only one who specialized in ballet, was feeling insecure. She watched her colleagues with admiration, but also with a hint of nervousness, afraid that her ballet dancing might be mocked or misunderstood by others.

Sakura, noticing Kazuha's discomfort, stopped her dance and approached her.

"Are you okay?"

"So so, I’m just a little bit nervous."

"Don’t worry, we've all been there. The important thing is to do your best and have fun."

"I know unnie, but…" she sighed "It's just that you guys are so amazing, and I'm afraid I don't measure up."

"We each have our own skills and styles. What matters is to be authentic and dance with your heart. You're a talented dancer, Kazuha, and I'm sure your ballet will be as captivating as our style."

"She's right!" answered Yeonjun approaching them, while drinking his water. "Don't worry about what others will think. Dance is about passion and expression. You must trust yourself."

Encouraged by her friends' words, Kazuha took a deep breath and decided to move forward. She positioned herself in the center of the rehearsal room, preparing to dance. Kazuha decided to show off her ballet moves. She started dancing shyly, but as she gained confidence, her dancing became more fluid and engaging, revealing her true talent in ballet.

Every move was filled with emotion, and her dedication to the art of dance was visible in every step. When she finished, silence filled the room for a moment, followed by warm applause from her colleagues.

"That was AWESOME!"

"You really have an enviable talent."

"Thanks, guys!"

As they continued to rehearse, Kazuha plucked up courage and announced the exciting news to his classmates.

"Actually, the reason I'm so nervous. Tonight I'm starring in a show at the Magic Shop Theater!"

"That's wonderful, friend! I'm so proud of you!"

"Congratulations! We're excited to see your performance."

"Thank you! I can't wait to share this experience with everyone."

They offered to take her to the theater, but Kazuha politely declined, as she saw Yujin walking in the hallway near the practice room. Noticing their colleague's flushed cheeks and wide smile, they immediately understood what it was about and smiled understandingly.

“Actually, I'd like to go with someone else. If it's okay…”

"Sure! We hope you have a lot of fun!”

“We will all support and cheer you on, no matter how lucky you are.”

Kazuha thanked his classmates and, with a newfound sense of confidence, continued to rehearse with enthusiasm and determination. The friendship and support she found in her dance colleagues motivated her to pursue her dreams with even more passion and bravery.

The Magic Shop theater, despite its mysterious name, has always been a place of magic and enchantment for Yunjin and Kazuha since they were teenagers, aged 16 and 15 respectively. On those summer afternoons, when the sun casts its golden rays over the theater, the two friends find their refuge on the wings of imagination.

Kazuha loved to dance. She moved gracefully across the empty stage, her feet sliding like rose petals over the wooden floor. Her eyes glittered with the promise of future applause as she gracefully performed ballet steps. Each movement was an expression of her passion for ballet and her desire to become a renowned ballerina.

Yunjin, for her part, found joy in capturing those magical moments in his sketches. Sitting in the front row of the audience, she watched Kazuha dance with a smile on her face and pen in hand. His attentive eyes captured every detail of the movements, the fluid and graceful lines that Kazuha traced across the stage. In her notebook, she drew sketches of delicate tutus and dazzling costumes, imagining how they would complement her friend's dancing.

As Kazuha twirled and leapt across the stage, Yunjin imagined the audience cheering to their feet, eyes filled with wonder. She wanted Kazuha to see herself as not only a talented dancer, but also the shining star that everyone looked up to.

After one of the impromptu performances, she stopped panting and laughed, her expression was radiant and warm in her friend's eyes.

“One day, unnie, I will dance on the most famous stages in the world!”

Yunjin grinned, sharing her enthusiasm.

“And I will be in the front row cheering you on and sketching every amazing moment of your journey. I'm sure you'll become a spectacular dancer.”

They approached each other and hugged.

“Thank you, unnie. It relieves me to know that I have a friend as amazing as you who makes me believe that anything is possible.”

She returned the Japanese girl's warm hug in return, feeling grateful to have such a determined and inspiring friend.

"We're going to make our dreams come true together, Kazuha. You, dancing on the world's stages, and me, designing the tutus that will make you shine even more."

The days at the Magic Shop theater continued to be moments of dreams and laughter for them. They created memories that would follow them through the years as they followed their individual paths towards their goals. But the theater would always be a place where their passions intertwined, and where their dreams took wings to fly high on the stage of life.

But everything changed when they grew older. Yunjin is now facing an emblematic process to unlink his image from that of his parents, who, since their first success in selling their brand, had their work and profits monopolized in their hands. Now, Huh Yunjin is the sole holder of Fearless. Kazuha, on the other hand, gained fame performing as the protagonist of major productions in Sector 17, at the age of 18, she was invited to perform at the great and renowned Bolshoi Ballet Academy and thus acquired her student scholarship at HYBE Uni.

When it comes to dancing, her heart explodes euphorically, but when it comes to love, hers misses every beat. The ballerina wasn't inexperienced, but she wasn't all that confident either. With luck, even before her big night, she had a piece of the solution in her hands - even if it resulted in the scorn of her friends.

When Kazuha found Yunjin sitting on a bench on campus, the sun was at its zenith, giving warmth and life to the clear blue sky. She had a shy smile on her lips as she approached her friend.

"Unnie?"

Yunjin looked up, surprised to see Kazuha there.

“Hey Zuha! Any particular reason why you're so excited?"

She looked nervous, this was evident from the sweat on her hands, the cracks in her voice and her rapid heartbeat, but when she remembered Love On Air's advice, she took a deep breath before speaking.

"Well, I wanted to invite you to join me at the Magic Shop Theater this weekend. I'm having a ballet performance and I'd like you to be there."

The American blinked a few times, surprised by the invitation. She knew how much ballet meant to her Japanese friend, and she was flattered to be invited.

"Wow, this is amazing! But are you sure you want me to go? I don't want to be in the way."

"Of course I want you to go, unnie. Your presence would mean a lot to me. And don't worry, this isn't a date or anything. It's just… I wish you were there as my friend."

She looked hesitant, her thoughts quickly going to Jisoo, her boyfriend. She pondered whether her presence would be appropriate, considering the commitment she had to him.

"I really appreciate the invitation, Zuha. But you know about my relationship with my love and…"

She raised her hand, interrupting her friend.

"Unnie, I understand you have your concerns, but I know how much you care about your friends. Jisoo is understanding and I know he will understand. Again, this isn't a romantic date, it's just about supporting each other as friends."

Yunjin looked into her eyes and saw the sincerity and anxiety behind them. She realized that her friend really wanted her to be there, not for any ulterior motive, but out of genuine friendship and support.

"You're right. My sweetheart will understand. And I would love to support you in your performance. I'll be there with a big smile on my face.

Kazuha let out a sigh of relief and smiled widely.

"This means a lot to me. Thank you for understanding and for always being such a great friend."

Yunjin smiled back, feeling happy to have such a special friend like her.

"You know I'll be there to cheer you on. I can't wait to see you shine on your toes!"

She again hugged her, thanking her for her understanding and support.

The sun was shining on the HYBE Uni’s campus, painting the buildings and gardens in warm tones. Yunjin was sitting on a bench next to the study area, the glow of her laptop reflecting in her eyes as she typed with concentration. Her fashion studio was about to start work on the next collection, and she was eager to get the ball rolling.

After a while, she closed the laptop with a satisfied sigh. Her mind, however, was occupied with other thoughts. She picked up her cell phone and dialed Jisoo's number, feeling a mixture of nervousness and anticipation. When he answered, her heart did a little flip.

"Hi, Jiji,how are you doing?"

"Jinnie, hello! I’m good, and you?"

"I’m great. You know, I was just thinking…how about you stop by my studio this afternoon? I need to get some measurements and some photos done for the next collection, and I thought you might give me a hand."

"Sure, I'd love to help. I'm free in the afternoon so that's perfect."

"Great! See you then. Oh, and don't forget to bring your best model smile!"

"You bet I won't forget, hun."

After hanging up, Jisoo felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness. He was looking forward to spending time with Yunjin, but something was bothering him. He had agreed with the idea of the Hongs from Eunchae's family dating Eunchae's friend, and now he started to question whether it was really a good idea. He didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but the idea of being in an arranged relationship made him a little uneasy.

To clear his mind, he decided to steer clear of the busiest areas of campus. He found a quiet corner, where he sat on a bench under a tree. With his AirPods, he connected to Spotify and looked for something to distract him. When he came across the first episode of "Love On Air" among those recommended by the platform, his curiosity was piqued.

He started to listen, and soon his expression changed from concern to surprise and amusement. Y/N's lively voice and the comedic tone she brings to tell the funny stories attracted his attention. He laughed at some of the situations described and found himself completely immersed in the atmosphere of the podcast.

As the episode continued, he found himself feeling more relaxed. His mind was less clouded by worries and he was able to relax a bit. Her voice enveloped him in a way he hadn't expected, and he found himself smiling involuntarily.

At the end of the episode, he pulled out his AirPods, feeling lighter than before. He realized that he needed to deal with his own feelings and make decisions that were true to himself. He looked at the horizon for a moment, pondering what to do next. Anyway, he decided to repay the act with something she might like.

Walking through the cafeteria, he bought a cup of decaffeinated coffee, his favorite healthy flavor, but as he walked through the sprawling campus halls, one question pondered in his mind:

Where can I meet her?

Although they met twice, (one at the worst possible moment for her), they name have time to meet each other again, so he's left to make assumptions based on what he knows:

"She's Hansol's fellow in Linguistics, isn't she? Cool, so they're studying together." he thought

He imagined himself walking down the hall, peering closely at the classroom doors. Finally, he found her, sitting at a table, surrounded by books and notes, with Hansol at her side, also immersed in his studies.

He approached with a smile, but stopped when he heard their conversation. He was enthusiastically explaining some linguistic concepts, and Hansol nodded with a concentrated look.

Too obvious. I would bother them for sure.

Dismissing that possibility, he thought of another theory.

Soonyoung and her are roommies. I bet it shouldn't be hard to find them.

In his imagination, he would continue his search and soon spot her in another area of campus. However, something felt wrong. She was standing still, gesturing excitedly as she argued with Soonyoung. It looked like the argument was heating up, and he was surprised by the intensity of emotions involved.

Too invasive! Better not mess with them at their worst!

After considering these funny scenarios, Jisoo decided it was time to find her for real. He figured the best way to do that would be to ask someone who might know where she was. And so, he headed to a place where he often found answers: his group of friends.

He found Wonwoo sitting in a resting place, concentrating on his book.

"Hey, Jisoo hyung."

"Hey Wonwoo. Have you seen Y/N by any chance?"

"Maybe. But what about that coffee in your hand? Does it have to do with her?"

"Oh well, I was thinking of giving it to her, and…"

"And you intend to spend the whole afternoon alone with her after delivering the coffee, don't you?"

"Well, that's not exactly it... I mean, yes, but it's also a friendly gesture. You know." he stammered with his cheeks flushed

Just like his hyung, Wonwoo had no idea how to find Y/N until he remembered his conversation with Jake that morning about the whole Love On Air team.

"Got it, but how is Y/N in the team?”

“Oh, noona is a walking little sunshine, hyung! Pretty, funny, kind, smart, out-going… Shit Jake, focus! She’s just your friend! JUST YOUR FRIEND! he thought "But creativity is her strongest point."

“Is it?”

"Yeah. She likes to spend some time alone in the library, whether it's studying or writing."

"Write what?"

"It doesn't matter. But if you happen to see her there, don't interrupt her. She hates it when her creative moment is disturbed."

Given his vague memory of that morning, he gave his hyung this advice.

"That's it?"

"That's all I know, hyung. But if you want to see her so badly, the library is the best place to find her this late in the afternoon."

"Of course, the library! Thanks!"

Jisoo then headed to the library, laughing at himself for his funny ideas and imagined situations. He was looking forward to seeing her again, no matter where she was, and he gave her the coffee as a sincere gesture, to thank her for calming him down in his most conflicted moment.

Meanwhile, the wind was gently playing with the leaves of the tree, and the atmosphere of the campus seemed full of possibilities.

In the back corner of the library, where the shelves met in an intricate labyrinth of knowledge, Y/N, listening to SEVENTEEN’s Falling For U on her headphones, was immersed in her own fictional world. Her notebook rested in her lap as her pen danced deftly across the paper. Every word she wrote was like a piece of her own soul, mixed with the yearnings of her character, Aylin.

Aylin, the protagonist of her words, was an audacious and courageous soul, whose heart surrendered to a man beyond her social class, Helio. He was rich, it is true, but his virtues surpassed material wealth. However, the plot of Aylin's life mirrored her own predicament in an almost harrowing way.

Her heart ached for the same reasons as hers. Helio was tied to a relationship arranged by his parents with a woman of high influence, reflecting the very bond imposed on Jisoo with Yunjin. He smiled gently. "Hi, I thought you might need a little encouragement while you work your ass off here," he said, offering her the cup.

Her heart leapt in surprise. She had never mentioned her aversion to coffee to anyone other than her friends, so that men's innocent act to her was understandable.

She looked at the glass hesitantly. Accepting such a kind gesture from someone she secretly harbored feelings for was a mixture of gratitude and nervousness.

"Thanks", She murmured, with her voice soft. She took it, feeling the soft heat through the wall of paper that separated it from her fingers. Even if she didn't like coffee, his gesture touched her deeply.

As he walked away to continue his journey, she watched him for a moment before returning her attention to her notebook. A new wave of determination washed over her. Her words flowed faster, inspired by the unexpected act of kindness.

At that moment, she realized that the fictional universe she was creating was intertwining with reality in mysterious ways. Love couldn't be rushed, but it could be painted in small gestures and moments, showing all the colors in genuine emotions.

And as the aroma of coffee permeated the air and his words filled the paper, Y/N felt she was beginning to write her own story, one that could have an ending as incredible as the characters she loved to create.

"But what if I forget a step? What if I stumble and fail?"

"You know, both fashion and ballet are genuine expressions of art, their beauty is in the hearts of artists. Of course anxiety is part of it, but you're not alone in this. Remember all the successful rehearsals you've had and of the times we overcome challenges together." she responded by gently touching her friend's shoulder

"You're right. I'm not alone."

"And don't worry if the audience expects perfection, cause you're here to deliver the artistry and beauty of ballet, with the passion you put into every movement."

"Thank you. Your words always have a way of calming me down." the ballerina sighed in relief

"That's what we're here for, as colleagues and friends. Now, how about we put our nerves aside and focus on making this moment amazing? In my eyes, you're already a star."

"Okay, I'll try. And I really want to do justice to the dance that me and the other dancers worked so hard to present."

"Here, I'll help you finish your makeup." she said getting up and getting a small mirror to touch up. “Remember to look inside yourself to find the amazing artist that you are.”

As she carefully adjusted her friend's makeup, the dressing room filled with a lighter, more encouraging atmosphere. Yunjin's smile was infectious, and his inspiring words seemed to melt away the nervousness that had gripped Kazuha before.

Onstage, the curtain was about to rise, but inside the dressing room, they had created a moment of connection and trust that glowed as brightly as the stage lights. And as Kazuha got to her feet, ready to face the audience, she knew she had a friend beside her who believed in her unconditionally.

In about 10 minutes, the curtains opened on the majestic stage of the Magic Shop Theater, filling the room with an aura of anticipation. Kazuha was at the center of the stage, the focus of all attention, prepared to deliver her ballet performance with all the grace and elegance she had trained so hard to achieve. Her costume gleamed under the lights, a reflection of her determination.

"Nakamura Kazuha is here as a talented and dedicated dancer! She deserves respect and admiration, not your ignorance. You can applaud the effort and beauty of her art, or you can leave to find something suitable to your taste, however, you won’t ever find a gem like her anywhere!”

The ballerina, in the midst of her performance, looked at her with eyes moist with gratitude. The friend's words not only challenged the audience's preconceptions, but also gave her the courage to move forward despite adversity.

Her performance continued, now surrounded by awed silence. Her dancing power, combined with Yunjin's passionate defense, created a unique atmosphere of beauty and endurance.

After the performance, when the curtains closed and true applause resounded, Kazuha approached Yunjin with shining eyes.

"Unnie, thank you so much. Your words... They meant everything to me." she thanked him with a trembling voice and her face wet with tears

"We're a team, Zuha. And I couldn't remain silent in the face of prejudice. Let's go, we're in this together."

The two friends left the theater hand in hand, the strength of ballet and their friendship overcoming adversity. The way back to the dorm was lit by the mutual understanding and resilience they had shared. 11- TBT (Tiger-Bee Truce)

Y/N and Wonwoo were sitting side by side, focused on Y/N's laptop screen. They were editing the latest episode of "Love On Air", ready to be posted on the YouTube channel. Jungwon and Jay's laughter and lively conversations with her echoed through the hallway as they worked.

"This part was funny, don't you think, oppa?"

"Yes, definitely. I think our listeners will love it."

While editing, they started talking about other topics.

"So, Wonwoo, what do you like to do in your free time?"

"Well," he said thoughtfully. "I enjoy everything, reading, going out drinking with my hyungs, but my favorite hobby as you heard, is gaming and streaming with my followers."

"I confess that games aren't really my thing" she scratched the back of her head, embarrassed "The only one I usually play sometimes is Legends of Runeterra, as it is one of the few Riot Games games that explores the game's universe and lore beyond of what was presented in stories, cinematics and other media."

"I've never heard of him. What is it?"

"It's a card game with some of the champions that League players know, with a few more special things! If you have time, I'll show you this game!"

"Of course, I would love to."

The conversation flowed naturally, and they discovered that they had a lot in common on other subjects, despite studying in practically opposite areas at HYBE Uni. Wonwoo had big aspirations in the gaming industry, while Y/N had other plans for her future.

"You know, oppa. My dream is to publish a book one day, maybe one of my stories will be adapted into a film script, or even I'll be called by Riot to write a new champion's lore in League!"

"Anything can happen, but I see that you are very talented, Y/N! You have a lot of potential to achieve great things in your life!"

She blushed slightly at the compliment.

"Thanks. But what about you? How are you doing with your livestreams?"

"Very well! In the last broadcast I broke my last record in Super Mario Kart and my goal of 10M subscriptions on my Twitch channel!"

"Really? Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!"

As they continued to talk, they discovered more about each other's interests, sharing stories about their hobbies and their ambitions for the future. Slowly, a friendship began to blossom between them, fueled by their passion for their studies and their excitement at working together on Love On Air.

As she finished editing the episode, she looked at him with a warm smile.

"Thank you. You really were a gem in this episode."

"It was my pleasure. I can't wait to see how our listeners react!"

As the sun set on campus, their friendship was beginning to form, fueled by their love of creation and shared dreams. It was the beginning of something special that they both knew could last a long time.

Y/N returned to her dorm, feeling a heavy weight in her heart due to the recent conflict. She knew she needed to sort things out and start a heart-to-heart with him. When she opened the door, she saw Sooyoung, who seemed to be reading something on her phone.

"You came back."

"I'm a woman of word, oppa. I would never postpone something so important to us for nothing."

The silence in the room was suffocating. Guilt weighed heavily on Soonyoung's shoulders, but the broken heart shook Y/N's feelings, so as she sat down on her rolling chair, dragged her closer to Hoshi and took a deep breath, she decided it was on her to take the first step.

"I want to apologize. I was immature with you, and it wasn't fair. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that."

He nodded, showing gratitude for her sincerity.

"I also apologize, Y/N. I didn't make an effort to really get to know you. I was influenced by rumors, both those posted by Beomgyu and those told by Yunjin and her friends. I feel so bad for judging you like that."

She smiled, relieved that they were finally starting to work things out.

"I understand. We both made mistakes by subjugating each other, but I believe we can do better from now on."

He nodded in agreement.

"Of course, that's why we need to establish some rules for healthy coexistence in the dorm, to avoid worse fights for no reason."

"I agree. Here are my suggestions: I would like to have more privacy and quiet in the room to study and plan the "Love On Air" episodes. She agreed, saying the rules were fair and balanced.

"Agreed. I promise not to touch your things and respect your tastes. Let's create a healthier coexistence from now on."

"No silly arguments and resentments?" he reached out to her

"I promise. Those were waters under the bridge, what matters is our future in the dorm." She returned a friendly smile.

"Good to know! I think we can be good roommates from now on, maybe even friends?"

"Don't force it." she grinned "It's going to take a while before I even consider you a friend, okay?"

"I'll take that risk." he shrugged

They knew it would be a winding path of learning, but they were determined to make living in the dormitory more harmonious and respectful. For them, this was a new beginning.
