Okay, storytime. So in my save file, my Decidueye perfectly counters the whole Miss Fortune Sisters. Straight up air slash, leaf blade, psycho cut / shadow claw, triple arrows moveset. Everytime I see any of them in the open, I approach them intentionally and battle using only Decidueye. When the battle starts, I make sure to get up close and personal, eye to eye with them, before oneshoting each of their pokemon.
Imagine that but with the other Legends NPCs. Bonus points if it's the self aware AU and the player just straight up says "I want you to feel how I feel encountering Cynthia when you see me."
sajflsjfdj Oh this is even better when most the characters have no idea who this 'Cynthia' is.
Though the intimidation tactic definitely works. The only person who isn't intimidated seems to be Ingo. Ingo practically embraces the look you give him, feeling excited to have such a thrilling battle! It almost feels... familiar.
Ingo tells the others that this isn't you being malicious, but it's something else, something familiar. Something only someone who takes battling serious does.
A few people reluctantly relax. Other are still wary. It's... a little freaky why you do that.
At least your rival and Ingo will accept your battles with vigor.
...Even if you scare your rival a little bit.

Tumblr media
→ Pairing ; Warden Ingo x Reader
→ Quote ; ❛❛It was perhaps that moment that caused a shift in Ingo, something telling him to seek further, to seek much more than what meets the eye, and he was determined, even if it was a one way train towards victory.❜❜
→ Genre ; Romance , hurt/comfort if you squint
→ A/N ; Phew, one hefty fic out of the way, i admit i was initially gonna make it Ingo and not Warden Ingo but, it just seemed to fit better to have it done with the latter. Hope ya'll like it!

Reality, to most people, was nothing but a mere curse, something people werent fond of, something people escaped from on the daily, be it through games or through fantasy. It was something everyone, one way or another, wanted to run away from, at least to some extent.
Some wished to escape for the sake of finding a new world, some wanted to escape for the sake of leaving situations that werent favorable for them, be it physically, mentally, or both, and then there were some who simply chose to escape from reality as is, no exact meaning about it. Be whichever it be, it is the truth for most people, perhaps, including you.
But for Ingo, this couldnt be farther from the truth. For him, the world as he knew, the “reality” that he knew grew to be a cold spectacle for tired eyes. Everyone he knew, everyone he had met and had exchanged words with. It was all nothing but code and strings of binary. At first, it all felt like a sick twisted game, something not meant for him to find out, something that went against everything that he once knew, but he knew that it was true, especially when he put every single little thing into consideration.
The eyes of the trainer were hollow, empty, cold, a mere vessel for who was truly playing the cards of the reality he laid in—Not to mention, days and nights seemed to pass by rather quickly the more he focused on it, lasting only a few hours, it was intriguing in some sense, but in another, it was creepy. Trying to talk to other members about these findings would bring about one of two things: Either they were completely oblivious to these happenings, or they ignored him, as if he didnt exist.
But they never ignored you.
In fact, it was as if at times, their speech was mostly triggered by your presence alone, you being in the limelight caused them to be able to speak about certain topics, but Ingo knew better than to cause a disturbance on the reality he was set in. Was it a joke from Arceus? Was it a gift? A curse? To be aware of how hollow and empty things were once he realized something wasnt right? something wasnt adding up? He wanted to know so desperately, just as much as he wanted his memories to come back.
But they were just whispers, fleeting and ephemeral in the darkness of his mind.
At one point an idea would pop into his mind, simple enough for it to be a flame of curiosity sparking into his head, he’d try and focus on the moments he had experimented before, before looking ahead from his position to where you’d be. Usually, and another thing he had taken notice of, was the fact that everytime you seemed to “leave”, Akari would stop full on her tracks before disappearing, just like that, in thin air. It was an odd spectacle, sometimes it happened right beside him, other times it happened a few steps away from him, either way, it was… creepy, to say the least.
Thats why, when he saw you come in again, he didnt waste any time on trying to get to talk to you, even if it put at risk his own existence. He already had been at a standstill between doing what he had been doing up until now, and breaking free from those orders, in the end, he had nothing to lose.
“Excuse me” He’d begin, noticing as you turned around to face him, this was his chance. “Do you, know whats happening lately?”
“What… What’s happening…?”
And for the first time in what seemed to have felt days on end, perhaps months wondering what was happening around, he heard a voice, resonating across the plane he stood in like the wind, the sun, and the rain. He looked around for a moment, just to make sure he wasnt the only one who heard it, yet, it seemed like that was the case, the only one to be graced by such a miracle, he felt… eager to hear more.
“Excuse me, I know this might be very sudden” He continued, explaining carefully what was happening before saying. “Please, I just want to know whats happening lately”
“Whats… happening lately…?” Your voice resonated yet again, in clear confusion as you tried to also make sense of the situation “Are-Are you talking to me?”
“Yes, I am speaking to you Akari… Unless that is not your name… How shall I refer to you then?”
That was the beginning of an unlikely conversation, where you tried to make amends with the world in which you were called, and Ingo tried to make amends with the world he was in. Ingo then learned that you were (y/n), a player for a game about Pokemon, and one where you had been the main player all along. Ingo wondered for long moments about it all, then, after all, he really had been living a lie all this time, had he not? A place that only exists in the palm of the hand of another, that only exists and is only alive when said another is playing it, it all felt hollow, but Ingo did his best to stay grounded, lest he wish to falter and screw this one chance up.
He felt comfortable, though, hearing your voice, hearing you speak about all the things that conformed this world in the palm of your hand. You spoke to him about Pokemon not in Hisui, about pokemon he “used”, about chandeliers and moles, You also spoke to him about yourself, about what you did in your spare time, about what you did when you were bored, and how you managed to get through to this moment. You spoke to him about your history, and in return, he listened through the screen in a darkened room. He didnt know what you looked like, he didnt know what you were truly like, but time would bring afloat strings of love and of cherishment. It was slow, a slow burn candle that took days, weeks and perhaps even months before he started falling for someone he had met through unlikely means.
“Work was so boring… did I tell you about the problems my friends had?” You said once, standing right by Ingo in game as he listened intently, his silver eyes right over the figure of Akari. She didnt answer, she didnt look at him, but he could hear your voice nonetheless, and that was enough for him as is.
“I dont think so” Was his reply, with a warm smile. It was a rare occurrence, but lately he had been smiling more often, casually. “Do you wish to talk about it?”
“Hm…” You stopped in your tracks for a moment, focusing on his smile, his face, everything.
Feelings werent one sided, by no means were they one sided. Truth to be told, you had been pinning on Ingo for a while now, emotions washing over you as you gazed over the man with a close watch, he was… perfect. To you he was perfection, a mirage in the darkness of your room. a mirage in the sadness of your world, you’d sigh before looking away for a few moments.
“Nah, its not that interesting” You’d say, not noticing the head tilt Ingo gave you as you focused on the elements of your room.
It was quaint, simple, just enough for you as you enjoyed life on a small flat in your city, and while it wasnt much, you were proud of yourself for leaving your parents home rather early, rather quickly, spreading your wings and flying off into the horizon. If only things were easier once in flight.
The only thing illuminating your room was your tv, playing Pokemon Arceus non stop ever since you got to know Ingo was self aware, ever since he asked you what was happening. At first you were skeptical, but you grew to accept it. After all, did it hurt to believe in fairytales just for a moment?
“(y/n)?” He’d call out to you, your head turning quickly to the tv as you held you switch in your hands. “Is everything ok?”
“Y-Yes… Just, thinking”
“Oh?”
“...Just… You’re, real, right? Everything, all of this is, really happening, right?”
Silence covered the world for a long moment, only the sound of passing cars and crickets could be heard, the sound of the wind in game, of the pokemon. Ingo would think for a long moment before nodding, with a reassuring smile.
“Yes, I am really here.”
“... I just-”
“I’ll prove it to you, just you wait”
It was perhaps that moment that caused a shift in Ingo, something telling him to seek further, to seek much more than what meets the eye, and he was determined, even if it was a one way train towards victory. Albeit this time something was different, the sensation that filled him was far too different than what he did when he first talked to you, when he first explored the reality of his situation with you, things were simply different now, because he now had something to lose. Yet, he persisted. In the few moments you turned the switch off he’d spend the time exploring the world he was set in, with a completely different lense than when he wasnt aware of his reality as a person stuck in a videogame. At least that was a way to see it, wasnt it? You made him feel alive, young, everything a person should feel, then why, oh why wouldnt he try to get what he started to ache for?
It started with little things, crossing boundaries in the landscape, exploring past points where, naturally, there’d be nothing for him to see. He’d explore past the limits, and in between those limits would he find the complexities of the world he was in, the coding, the binary that he loathed previously was now at the palm of his hand, and, with ab objective at mind, the characteristic determination of the Subway Boss would kick in his mind, and thus, he’d play god within his own realm. What once was a comfortable routine, a comfortable space, had become claustrophobic, to be locked inside the confines of the place he was in, and he wanted out. He wanted to show you how much, that he was real, lest his morale falter, he didnt want to disappoint you after all.
So he’d work, day and night, anytime you werent home or you werent awake, he’d do his best to bring his dream to fruition with the very few knowledge of the mechanics of the world, but he was a fast learner, and he knew very well how to play the cards of any situation to his favor. It wouldnt be until one fateful night he’d find the answer to it all, exploring the code while you were at work, he’d stumble upon a void he hadnt seen before, like the strange outbreaks that sometimes occurred in the plains, he’d take a step forward, wanting to explore this new continent that could be what he had been waiting all these weeks.
Carefully and slowly would he step out, one foot, second foot, then the body and the arms, and he’d find himself in a place that was reminiscent of what he had always heard. ‘My room isnt that much’ You had told him once, ‘Just a bed, some shelves with a bit of old merch, a few posters and, uhm… furniture…’. Everything was just like how you told him, perfectly still, perfectly set, everything was just, perfect.
He’d explore around your room for a few moments, his fingers grazing over the bed, the shelves, stopping on the figures of what seemed to be him only that, much younger, and someone else, a man dressed in white with an everlasting smile. His fingers would hoover above your desk, the little trinkets you had in your room, before he’d step outside of that small world into the rest of the apartment.
You’d be dispatched early from work when it happened, though, when you realized you had left your switch on and only you knew how much you’d have to pay for the electricity bills in the upcoming weeks. Usually you allowed your switch to stay off the television when it didnt need to charge, but most of the time you left it charging, just to ensure you wouldnt lose Ingo, just to ensure you wouldnt lose him. Afraid of loss (and your electricity bill, which had been quite hefty these past months), you’d run to your apartment, backpack on your shoulder and keys in your hand once you’ve reached it. Your apartment wouldnt have changed exponentially, if anything, it’d be just the same, only that a certain scent of the wild would come around. Reaching the living room though, you’d drop your backpack and your keys, seeing a scene unfold within your small world.
“Ingo?” You’d ask, watching the man who, once facing his back to you, now turned with a surprised expression before calm washed over him. “Is, Is that you?”
A myriad of emotions would cover your body, you’d be filled with surprise, anxiety, fear, confusion, and an inexplicable sense of longing. One that had followed you for a long, long time now. Ingo on the other side would sigh, as if he had been holding his breath ever since he had gotten there, he’d sigh and focus on the moment currently happening, walking towards you with care, carefully, as if wanting to say.
“Yes, it is me, darling”
You’d break down instantly, then, you knew to recognize the shape of those eyes, the color of them that was unique to him. Falling into the floor he’d hurry to catch you, holding you into your arms with love and care, he’d hold you close and run his fingers through your hair. You were here, he was here, it was a perfect miracle in your eyes, a beautiful moment in his, and even if he couldnt go back, he didnt care, just being here by your side was enough for him.
You cried in his arms, you laughed, you sobbed and you giggled, a heavenly mixture of emotions as they all crashed down on your body as you tried to make sense of it, but he hushed you down with sweet nothings, his calloused hands wiping away your tears. You could feel him, feel his scent, feel all of him, and it was serendipitous.
“Im here” He’d say, clashing your foreheads together softly. “Im finally here, my love.”

self aware p:la au except the player isnt a soft spoken or sweet person, but very competitive and very angry. akari gets dropped into the world terrified, but hearing behind her the familiar raging voice that brought her to championships screaming, “LETS FUCKING GO, KIDDO. NO CLUE WHATS HAPPENING BUT WE GOT THIS,” she is not as afraid as she normally would be.
everyone tries not acknowledging their existence, but its a little difficult when the strange floating being beside the outsider won’t stop growling at people who make annoying requests. “why do they keep asking you to do this shit, stop sending a child to run your errands.” the clans are all quick to realize this being is very protective of akari, though kamado did not realize quite the extent of the protectiveness. the feeling of impending death he felt from the being’s glare still sends chills down his spine thinking about it.
the only person who seems to be free of the being’s ire is warden ingo, who is not quite sure why the yelling is familiar or a comfort for him, but it reminds him of the man in white, who he assumes the strange specter knows, seeing as the first thing they said upon seeing him was, “INGOOOOOOOOOO! wait, where’s the rest of you?”
i just think it would be funny if volo thought you were just some weird ghost, but only realizes your importance during the final battle, when giratina shows up, and you just, “I BEAT YOUR ASS ONCE, PUNK, AND ILL DO IT AGAIN.”
the player curb stomps volo and he hears you scream, “IT’LL BE A COLD DAY IN HELL WHEN I LOSE TO THIS CHUCKLE-FUCK AND HIS BLOODLINE EVER AGAIN.” he’s terrified of this strange being, but also incredibly curious on how they seem to have fought his ancestors (or descendants) but from the waves of fury washing over him as the being glares, he has no choice but to walk away.

One thing I’ve noticed is the Battle Subway is unique among battle facilities in being accessible early in the game - the second you reach Nimbasa you can challenge it. Other facilities are all post game - so in-universe, I feel like there’s a higher standard for challenging them. So, here’s an idea:
Ingo and Emmet have one long-standing serious argument that has never been resolved, and it’s the one of the very few times Ingo has pulled the elder brother card to ‘win’ : the debate over minimum requirements for challenging the Battle Subway. Ingo believes (and used his older twin status to implement) that there should be no restrictions on who challenges the Subway: all trainers are welcome, no matter their skill level, to come test their mettle! Pursue ever greater heights no matter where you start!
Emmet would like there to be a minimum badge requirement. He doesn’t want to bore the Subway’s pokemon and depot agents with unfulfilling battles from trainers who aren’t serious - it means the front end agents get overwhelmed while the later teams don’t see as much work. Also, it can be pretty crushing for young trainers to be absolutely curbstomped by competitive teams. They may not wish to come back if they can’t even get past the first agent! So for that, Emmet would like trainers to have at least some experience with the gym circuit before taking on their Subway - that way he knows there’s at least some level of seriousness to their intentions.
It’s the whole Ideals vs Truth thing the twins have going on: Ideally, every trainer has the potential to reach great heights! But the truth is, not everyone is that strong - or wants to get that strong.
(This isn’t Emmet looking down on weak trainers, btw. He’s just as supportive as Ingo to people who are *serious* about getting stronger and reaching greater heights! He’s just not really interested in trainers who are only challenging them for the novelty or as a fun thing or so on. He’s way more enthusiastic about the kid with the Watchog ace who keeps coming back with new item combinations and team attempts than he is about the person who has beaten all eight gyms in Unova with their Hydreigon and has straight up shrugged off losing to the Bosses because ‘I got all the BP I needed for x item’.)

self aware reader x Emmet and ingo please part 9 please its been a year now🥲
Hm. It has been a while. I think I got some energy to write a chapter or two. Here's some food for you.
Submas x Self Aware Reader Part 9
Despite how utterly bizarre the situation was, you relished in the comfort that Ingo and Emmet gave to you. They were truly the only people that you could talk to, as every other villager that exists in the game you were a part of, simply don't have the self awareness that you possess. Not knowing how the dark magic of the tome could affect them or the consequences of what might happen, you resist the temptation to make them real...making you all alone in this digital world that was your prison.
Though you were reluctant to reveal this dark truth to the twins, they believed you. During your last meal, you had learned many great things about the twins.
Tumblr media
You didn't quite understand all of the details they told you about, but generally speaking the two were a pair of monster tamers. They had many monsters, that all had different names and appearances, and instead of fighting against other humans, they engage in combat with other monsters. You would consider them to be fools to cherish monsters so brazenly but these monsters weren't like the ones in your world of Moonspire Kingdom. The monsters in your realm exists to provide an enemy for the farmer characters to fight against; pixels on a screen to them but a monster in the flesh to you.
"I need your help," you say gently after the initial excitement of the twins discovering your existence died down. "Whatever it is, we'll assist you in any way possible," Ingo immediately comments, with a determined look in his eyes.
"Yup! Just tell us what to do!" Emmet immediately chimes in after.
You give the twins a soft smile, before closing your eyes and adjusting your seating posture. "In order for me to escape from this world there are two things we need to do." The twin's posture changes as you do, as the conversation shifts to be more serious. "The quest for the ingredients I need must continue. Among one of the things I urgently need is a specific fish. But it can only be caught in winter..." you give a soft sigh and then continue with your eyes open. "The potion I am making... is invulnerability potion." The twin's expression changes, curious of what you just said. "Invulnerability?" Emmet asks, tilting his head much like a cat.
"The passage from my world to yours is incredibly dangerous. What you consider to be a game is a complete dimension made for your...amusement. In order to break free from this dimension, I must temporarily be able to distort time, space, and reality." When you raise your hand, the room goes dark. When the twins see you again, they see the enchanted Dark Tome, in your hands and your eyes glowing a ghostly pale light. "This Tome has the spell I require to do it. But I risk permanently dying. The invulnerability potion allows me...two minutes of invulnerability. In that time frame, I must escape to your world or be trapped in limbo, between your dimension and mine." This makes both twins drop their jaw in shock. "Why only two minutes?!" Ingo then exclaims.
"Because this potion is meant for you," you tell them. This immediately gets their attention. "You as the farmer and monster slayer, would drink a potion as rare as this, to defeat the impossible monsters you dreamed of killing. Potions never last long for you two, don't they?" You said with a sad smile, as you watch both their expressions churn with disbelief. You were right. Potions that buff a player's abilities would only last for 3 minutes at most, aside from a potion that remedies health or poisons... You close your eyes, the screen goes black, and then you reappear back as you did before, but the tome is nowhere to be seen.
"Secondly, I require you two to go to the countryside."
"The country?" Both twins ask. "We need lots of space to build a wall, at least 8 by 8 feet. You will need to draw a rune on a blank wall." With the gesture of the hand, a scroll flies over to you and you show the twins the rune. "I've seen that before!" Emmet immediately says. "That's the graffiti on the train station. In your world." "Before the train was made to deliver heroes and cargo, we used the rune as a method of transportation," you explain. "The rune would still work but we need an exit point. That will be your problem to do."
You stop and pause to let this information sink in. "Can you two do this? Will you help me escape?" You sit there, thinking the twins would reject your plan. But only for a brief moment when you hear them both exclaim. "We can do this!" said Emmet, overlapping Ingo as he said, "We won't let you down."
"My, my. I am so lucky to have such good boys be my savior," you laugh out loud as you slap your knee. "I'd wager it's late for you two both. It is best you go get some sleep. I'll be investigating ways for me to catch the fish we seek."
"Wait, wait-" Emmet yells out. "Yes, my dear Emmet?"
"What...what is your name, Golden Eye?" Your eyes grow wide at his question. You give him another sad smile. "I can't remember," you tell him honestly. "I am much too old to bother with my name by this point." "Oh.." he says softly, like a child discovering something sad for the first time. "Emmet, Ingo. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow, if you two have the time." "We'll be back," Ingo says with a caring tone. "We will!" Emmet chimes in after. You give them one last smile before cutting the connection.

This is inspired by @onestepbackwards PLA Self-aware au! Please go check it out there really cool! Also please be mindful of my writing, it's not the best and I haven't written in a long time so please be nice..
This takes place after Beni tried to assassinate Akari, Akari ran to Alabaster Icelands to Pearl Clan slightly injured from the attack, where she was immediately taken in which cause a massive argument against Irida and Kamado. "She is a demon! She needs to be dealt with!" Kamado yelled at Irida, "she is no demon Kamado! All she has ever done was help all of us and this is how you repay her?!" Irida yelled back, they kept going back and forth, as Ingo held Akari close,
"b-but what did i do? WHAT DID I DO?!" Akari sobbed while shaking in fear, "you did nothing wrong Miss Akari, We'll protect you..." Ingo try to comfort Akari the best as he can, while hiding his ever growing rage, 'if this keeps up, a war was surely break out' Akari thought, 'how much do I have to give in order for these people to be satisfied?' Akari sobbed at the thought. Then suddenly without thinking Kamado aggressively grabbed Irida's wrist,
and just then and without warning.
.
.
.
𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐌
.
.
.
Kamado and Irida went flying in separate directions as a massive cloud of snow went up into the air, as Irida was caught by Gaeric and Kamado fell onto the ground.
Then a 50 ft Dragon like Pokemon appeared from the cloud of snow and circled around in the air with a loud, booming, deafening roar, came out from the Pokemon, everyone can only look up in the sky and shock, in awe and most of all in horror.
"KAMADO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Irida yelled out in fear, 'have we invoked the wrath of the Almighty Sinnoh?' Pearl Clan thought. As the massive Dragon like Pokemon flew around the sky it dived head first into the ground, into the cloud of snow that was slowly falling down, then the snow cleared with a large gust of wind. Revealing a tall person in a altered kimono outfit with cloud designs
"𝐈𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐲 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐈 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟𝐟.." the you said, "𝑰 𝒕𝒓𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒔, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝑫𝑨𝑴𝑵 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆..." then suddenly before anyone can blink, you fastly moved in front of Kamado and grab him by the base of the shirt lifting him up and making them look at each other face to face. "𝑰'𝑽𝑬 𝑩𝑬𝑬𝑵 𝑺𝑶 𝑮𝑹𝑨𝑪𝑰𝑶𝑼𝑺!! 𝑨𝑵𝑫 𝒀𝑬𝑻 𝒀𝑶𝑼 𝑯𝑼𝑹𝑻 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑫𝑨𝑼𝑮𝑯𝑻𝑬𝑹 𝑶𝑭 𝑴𝑰𝑵𝑬!" Kamado looked at them in shocked confusion before slowly realizing...
"𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕'𝒔 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕... 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒓𝒍 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒃𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒅..." The you then pointed at Akari was being held by Ingo as he held Akari protectively, "𝐈𝐬 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐄..." "No..." Kamado whispered in disbelief. Everyone was completely in shock, 'Akari? A child of a god? How could they not notice this?!' there's so many questions that everyone including Akari wanted answers to but there's no time to answer. As they all watch what the God was going to do next.
"𝐈'𝐦 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞... 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐀 𝐃𝐎𝐔𝐁𝐓!" You throw Kamado a good few feet away from them as a slowly morph into your dragon form, "𝑰 𝒈𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒘!" As they turn back into there dragon form and circle Kamado and his army, "𝐈 𝐠𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐝!" Everyone's blood ran colder than I already was, "𝐈 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧!" You crushed a few of Kamado troops with your clawed dragon hand "𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐆𝐎 𝐈 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐰, 𝐑𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐈𝐒 𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐂𝐘 𝐔𝐏𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐒!!" All everyone could hear a course of voices repeating the last sentence, as you continue to circle around Kamado army, making them close in on each other. Then suddenly you transformed back into your human form and grabbed Beni's arm who was with the Kamado's army, "𝐘𝐨𝐮! 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝, 𝐜𝐮𝐳 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭.." then you threw him across the field, "𝑨 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓, 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝑹𝑬𝑬𝑲𝑺 𝒂 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒔𝒆 𝑹𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻𝑬𝑶𝑼𝑺𝑵𝑬𝑺𝑺 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕'𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆!" Then you walked up to Beni and pick them up by his throat, with Kamado watching still recovering from being thrown.
"𝐂𝐮𝐳 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞...𝑰 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒕𝒐𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕, 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒂𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒓..." You tighten your grip around Beni's throat as he soon realized what was about to happen as he struggled to get out of your grip. "𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐨𝐨𝐨𝐨𝐨𝐨𝐨𝐨𝐨𝐨~" you said in a mocking tone, then crushed Beni's throat with your bare hand, "NOOOOOO!!" Kamado yelled out in pain, as Beni's blood splattered everywhere and he gurgled on his own blood, then you just tossed him aside like nothing, "𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐝! 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐈𝐀 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐄!" You the. Grabbed Kamado by the hair, and proceed to drag him around fastly and hastily like a rag doll, has he tried to get out of your grip but you no avail. "𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐭! 𝐖𝐞'𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰!" You then throw Kamado to the ground as he looked up at you with your pure hatred in his eyes.
"𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐭! 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐫! 𝑼𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒏𝒐 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒊𝒂 𝒍𝒆𝒇𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆! 𝑪𝑼𝒁 𝑹𝑼𝑻𝑯𝑳𝑬𝑺𝑺𝑵𝑬𝑺𝑺 𝑰𝑺 𝑴𝑬𝑹𝑪𝒀 𝑼𝑷𝑶𝑵 𝑶𝑼𝑹𝑺𝑬𝑳𝑽𝑬𝑺!" Then you immediately turn back into your dragon form, has you Tower over him in your dragon form and begin to circle around him and his army once more. "𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒊𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒂𝒚 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅𝒃𝒚𝒆! 𝑻𝑶𝑫𝑨𝒀 𝒀𝑶𝑼 𝑫𝑰𝑬! 𝑼𝒏𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒑𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒊𝒛𝒆~ 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒂𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒓'𝒔 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒄𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔..." As you say this everyone begins to bow down to you it felt powerful, addicting even, well everyone except Kamado... "Oh almighty God! We met no harm we only banished her to protect us, we take no pleasure in her pain, I only wanted to protect the village-" you raise your hand up to silence him as you transformed back into your human form,
"𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒏𝒂𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒕𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒊𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆..." You say with closed eyes as you slowly raise your arm, "𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐤. 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒚.." As you fully extend your arm towards Kamado and his army,
"𝘿𝙄𝙀..."
Then the snow became mist again blocking Pearl Clan from seeing the inside of the battlefield. But inside the snow became alive, taking forms of monsters, and they begin absolutely tearing into Kamado army, ripping and tearing they're limbs off an devouring them, 'I guess all those horror games I played really paid off' you thought as you watch the massacre, the only thing Pearl Clan can hear where there's blood currently screams of pain and agony, as they scream for their Commander to do something, anything to save them, but all Kamado can do is stand there, and for some reason the monsters are leaving him alone. He couldn't move, he couldn't breathe, everything was happening too fast for him to process. Until all the screams die down in his entire army was wiped from the face of the Earth, the only thing that remained where the blood stains of his people. As is mist clears and pearl Clan look in horror, from all the blood on the ground.
Through hitched breaths Kamado can only mutter a single sentence has he held Beni's dead body, "what...have you done...?" He can hear the voices of his fallen people 'when does a rebel become a tidal wave?' "𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭, 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝..." You say 'when does a man become a monster...?' the voices of his fallen comrades taunt him again, "𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭..." You summon a blade thanks to your coding abilities, and point it his throat making him look at you. His eyes are filled with disbelief and pain, "𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫..." You press the blade against his throat, "𝑨𝒏𝒚 𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔?" You ask pressing the blade closer. Just when Kamado was about to accept his fate as a single tier went freely down his face, you were stopped, "WAIT STOP!" Akari yelled out as she got go of Ingo's grip "Miss Akari wait!" Ingo yelled out to Akari as she ran over to you "mom! Wait don't do this!" Akari said as she put herself between you and Kamado.
You look at Akari confused, "𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒏'𝒕 𝑰? 𝑯𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒂 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒍..." You ask confused. "I know mom! But please killing people is not the right way!" Akari try to reason with you, "𝑼𝒎𝒎𝒎𝒎... 𝑰 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝑰 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒍𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆...𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒏𝒐𝒘 " you say, you turn to Kamado, "𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 10 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒔 " just as you said that he got up and immediately ran away, Looking back leaving Beni's body.
"So Akari! Aren't you going to introduce me to your friends?" You ask in your normal voice, "oh um..yes of course ma.." 'this is going to be a long day...' Akari thought.

You wake up in the Self aware au of Legends as their 'god' but I'm fucking stupid and they all heard me saying things like 'Ingo is a sexy, feral mountain man' and 'Volos the kinda guy to eat pasta with his hands'. Pre banishment 'Kamado likes to get pegged' post banishment 'Kamado is no longer allowed to be pegged'
Uh, first ask. I hope I live up to expectations but I admit that I've never been a person who as soon as they see an attractive person I want to jump on them or have similar thoughts. And then if I find myself in a situation where I'm isekai'd in a self aware au, my first question would probably be how the heck did I get there.
However, for such people who find themselves in such a situation I guess all NPCs would wonder if you, the true deity of this world, are a sex god/goddess and they should worship you in such a way to satisfy your sexual desire.
Or just take them as compliments, even if they're a little weirded out by you and your particular way of speaking
I guess though that they sure want to keep you happy since you are their god and all that entails

If you'd like, do you wanna start out with some general ideas about your self aware ingo? I'd love to hear them! Any and everything you'd like to share!! But only if you want to, okay? It's your blog, so you get to decide what to post!!
I'm excited to have you here with us!!
<3<3<3
Ren you are so sweet aaah I feel like an anime school girl blushing because senpai noticed them!!!!
I think what draws me in about self aware Ingo is that he's already so soft inside. In PLA he literally opens up to you the first chance he gets. I hated that I couldn't comfort him or offer any sort of help with his memories. Him being self aware is very self-indulgent so I'm happy to share some hcs!
PLA
Even if he couldn't see or hear you directly, it wouldn't be hard for him to get attached to the entity controlling the hero. However, without hearing it from you directly, it takes a bit longer for him to realize how much you like him. And he honestly isn't sure what to do with himself.
He doesn't want to break anything, but it warms his heart and brings the smallest smile to his face when sees the hero run in circles around him before throwing out whatever pokemon they are most proud of at the moment (for me that's my alpha Eevee).
Sometimes it's tempting to break the script, to say something about how often you come to challenge him or how during the battle you move to stand near him (why does the game let you do that?)
After realizing how you feel, this man blushes when you show up wearing the Lady Sneasler kimono. The game limits how you can express your feelings towards him so he's a bit flustered when you come up with ways to try.
If he can see and hear you, it's even harder to keep his composure as you try to express your feelings through your character. He's so flustered, but it's kind of fun to hear you talk to yourself about how much you love him while also just having your character run in circles around him. It's like he's getting to learn more about how your brain works outside of how you battle.
When the pokedex is close to being finished, he would fear for what will happen next. When you close the game for good, will the world he's in stand still forever? The idea of being stuck like that, knowing the world around him isn't real and that you won't be back to see him, it's enough for him to decide to mess with the code and talk to you directly.
I was going to do some for Black/White Ingo but I haven't really played that game. I mean I did when it first came out but I was a kid and I never finished it.

Imagine with the self aware au in Hisui but the goddess in question is an abused victim who seeks solace in playing video games to forget their pain. Imagine Volo’s reaction to his new object of affection is crying and sees her in pain. The “goddess” also vents while playing the game, which leaves many in shock at the amount of pain their “true god” goes through! How could someone so empathetic and kind be treated so horrendously?! Volo and Ingo are willing to put aside their differences (they were the first to figure the whole “god” thing first though they both have different takes on it) to reach their object of obsession if only to rid her of her constant pain and suffering….
Ohh boy, if anyone finds out the 'God' they have been watching/possibly worshiping was being treated horribly? Or was treated horribly in the past and was still dealing with issues?
Depending on how far gone or deep belief their goes, it will affect how deeply they wish to intervene.
They all want to help, of course! But what can they do?
Ingo at least seems to have an idea. Along with the hero, who is desperate to help protect whoever has been protecting them. They keep mentioning some sort of code. They speak in harsh whispers about this code, until Volo ends up demanding to know what they are talking about.
It's clear it's about you, as he's heard your name mentioned. Ingo's eyes meet the Hero's, and he relents.
It's a bit hard to understand, though Volo catches on quickly. The 'code' they had been referring to are the number's Volo sees when he closes his eyes, or spaces out.
Ingo theorizes perhaps... Messing with those numbers could result in them being able to make contact with you. It would take time, but an attempt was better than letting you sit and suffer all alone.
Volo is immediately on board, though his reasons are a bit... more malicious.
He desires to protect you. To help you feel better, keep you safe.
And he'll take care of those that hurt you. He isn't afraid to cross that line, so long as it can help the 'True God.'
Ingo side eyes him. Volo isn't as subtle as he thinks he is, but he keeps his mouth shut. If it truly comes down to it, saving you might involve more... rough procedures.
As much as Ingo finds it unsavory, he's willing to look the other way so long as it ensures your safety.
Anything to make sure you were safe.

I was seeing the comic of Emmets self destructing behavior even after he and Ingo reunited and wow… that implication it’s not the first time…
How many times must have this happened? How many times until Ingo knew snapping him out by a gentle hand on his shoulder? What bad habits did Emmet develop while being on his own? With "Ingo" encouraging him to be more healthy? Just so deliciously dark! I love it?
On the other hand how much strain Ingo's body going through when he has his moments he sees "the man in white" his body switches to "life-or-death-mode" receiving a little bruise could cause him to fall into full panic mode and try to treat it like a lethal wound if not for Emmet snapping him out of it and calming him down again.
While both have their moments of seeing their subconscious guardian angel both react differently.
Emmet is apathetic towards "Ingo" dismissing him since he’s not even there. He reacts mentally.
Ingo’s whole body could react to small bruises and injuries like they could kill him and depending on his support to get through it. He reacts with his whole body.
Also when Ingo’s aware he’s probably insecure about all the scars he’s got on him now. How many times he almost died… he doesn’t want the real Emmet to know. It’s bad enough that "the man in white knows"…
YES YES!!! This analysis is so perfect!!! If you'd allow me to ramble a bit...
Emmet's self destructive tendencies have been going on for a while since Ingo's disappearance. He has his Elesa and his depot agents to support him/remind him to not truly forget about himself (Elesa trying to take more time off from her job to check on Emmet/invite him out to lunch to make sure he eats, the veteran depot agents frequently checking up on him during the day/encouraging him take more breaks/interrupting his smoke breaks "accidentally", ect) but it's been hard to say the least. It will take some time for these habits to truly go away even with Ingo back, especially on his bad days.
BUT ALSO YEAH! Ingo! If Emmet appears at the corner of his eye suddenly or he sees him from a distance (any sort of blurred visage - as the man in white always appeared as) he might have a knee jerk response - a sudden urge to run or seek safety - but ultimately it won't be too serious.
His body reacts the most drastically when he is already in a state of injury and Emmet is within eyesight. Elevated heart rate, shortness of breathe, blurred vision, body tremors: his adrenaline levels will spike to an unnatural level causing a ton of stress on the body, since his mind is basically telling his body that he's on the brink of death. The quickest way to calm him down if it were to get this bad would be to have Emmet out of his sight until he can calm down...Not very ideal when the source of one's panic works the same job as you, in a work environment where slight injuries aren't too uncommon

For the ask game: common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about?
[ask meme]
8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about
I...actually get frustrated with the infantilization and/or demonization of characters that could be read as autistic, because it happens so often and there's such a lack of self-awareness when people do it. If one person headcanons it, a bunch of other people pile on, and before you know it, your character is being treated like someone else entirely - and unfairly so.
Let's take the most obvious example and the reason I don't engage with fandom much:
Tumblr media
I am so tired of what fandom at large has done to Emmet since 2010. He's been infantilized since day one, often being portrayed as needing Ingo to take care of him or otherwise be his brother's keeper. He's also been turned into a violent, 'unhinged' stereotype since day one. Neither of these things are new. They've been happening since the release of the games. Neither of them have any basis in his canon characterization - a competent railroad employee who's a goofball but simultaneously responsible and always puts safety first.
I was hoping people had moved past that the way they moved past Blankshipping (though some people still do this, too, EW), but it seems like they haven't. Emmet is still either a helpless child or a serial killer waiting to happen to so many of these people, and as someone who actually felt so validated and seen the first time she discovered Ingo and Emmet, it hurts so deeply.
In real life, I'm also infantilized. I turn 35 this year and have a Master’s degree and work a big grown-up adult archivist job and live outside my parents' house, but because I'm neurodivergent and short, I'm frequently assumed to be and am treated like a teenager way more often than you'd reasonably expect. It's incredibly frustrating to constantly be treated like an innocent child because you don't meet neurotypical benchmarks of adulthood the way they want you to or because of the way you carry yourself or enjoy things. But at the same time, people shy away from me because I'm "too intense" about the things I care about.
Sound familiar?
Fandom was, when I was a younger girl, a place where neurodivergent people (especially autistic and ADHD people) were safe from the real world not understanding, accommodating, and accepting us. We generally kept things on the down-low, since it was another thing we'd be bullied for if people knew, but for us, it was a safe space. Then people realized fandom could be commodified, and once capitalism got a hold on fandom and made it mainstream, all our bullies were suddenly in our little space again, and...well, you probably know the rest. (Yeah, they brought their ableism with them.)
I'm not saying old fandom didn't have its problems. It had a LOT of problems. But it was, altogether, a safer space for neurodivergent people to find community and themselves than it is now. Now it feels more about producing things and moving on to the next big thing to produce more "content" to keep engagement instead of an actual community of nerdy, passionate people getting excited about each other's fanworks and chatting about their favorite things together.
And that reflects in how people treat autistic and autistic-coded characters now. Emmet is one example of many - look at Papyrus, or Entrapta, or numerous others.
This trend really, really fucking hurts, and I cannot stand how willingly fandom spaces just go along with it without thinking critically about it.

Hello! I hope ur well. I’m abit new to Tumblr and stumbled across ur blog because the Submas content :3.
If you still do requests rn, and something ur comfy with, could I ask for Self Aware AU Ingo discovering his newfound consciousness interacting with reader who play Pokémon Masters? Maybe the reader struggles with self-esteem/depression and Ingo comforts them completely by surprise after a rough day? (Sorry it’s a mouthful to read lol, I appreciate ya!)
-🪴 anon
😭 ingo just wanting to comfort you.
Self aware Ingo x depressed!reader
Hi, just a little reminder before we get started here: if you're ever feeling thoughts of self-esteem or issues with depression, please know that you are loved, and you are beautiful on the inside and out! Make sure you eat a snack and drink some water while reading this.
If this ever made your day even a little bit better, then I did my job, and thank you for reading!
Tumblr media
He didn't know when or how he gained consciousness. All he remembered was the first thing he saw when he "woke up" familiar faces in a usual place, the calm music that the Pokemon Center plays every night. Pokemon was standing right next to him, but as his eyes looked forward into what he perceived was a giant portal created by Palkia and Dialga themselves. And a smiling face looking down upon the world he inhabited.
He had thought you were one of Arceus's angels, and this was about a dream, but soon, he had realized that only half was the case.
It all seemed to click who you were. You are not some dead fish-eyed child with a robotic Pikachu like what this world had portrayed you as no far from; instead of that kid with the permanent smile, you always seem to have a tired look on your face with either a small half-smile or a Blank Stare. But to Ingo, he always preferred to you behind the screen. Even when you were no longer watching the world, he could still hear your faint voice going about your day. You seemed more lively and more human than the blank slated avatar they gave you. How could he not be drawn to you even though you seem so sad? Your eyes and your being just seem so full of life that he felt an urge to protect and care for you.
Even though the fake Island had tons of people and, he felt more alone than he ever did, especially when he realized he was the only one different from the rest. He can't help but respond to every little question or reaction in his head, afraid of what you might do if he ever breaks away from the game's script.
But on a particular day that was a rough one for you mentally and physically, when Ingo saw you opening up the app instead of that same expression, your eyes were red from crying. No, you were still crying. His heart sank. If he could, if he could touch you, he would hold you close and Whisper nothing but good things in your ear until you calm down, but he can't do that. He couldn't do anything!! He felt sick with worry as he watched you cry, your lip quivering as you vent to yourself, saying the most horrible things about yourself !! And for a moment, he threw away his worries of the consequences.
" Are you okay?"
A simple three-letter sentence that made you freeze; your heart's practically stopped as you didn't know that you were being watched. It took you a while for your brain to process who the voice was coming from, looking down at your phone to see your favorite character stare back. Huh... Odd you didn't know he had that line before.... and not only that, you didn't remember clicking on him. Usually, characters say their lines after you click on them, yet you don't even touch them. As you were Gathering your thoughts, Ingo spoke again.
" I truly wish I could wipe away those tears, I regretfully can't do much but if it helps tell me about your day and I'll listen."
Ingo speaks again... no text box appears; nothing; he just talked to you, mentioning your crying. In that first moment, you didn't know how you felt. Your favorite character coming to life and talking to you was almost a dream come true, but the thought just seemed so impossible and unrealistic that you doubted the fact that you were awake. And your feelings are already all over the place, having no one to turn to, no one to comfort you, craving that comfort, your heart exploded. You can't stop the tears rolling down your face, even if is just a dream; what a beautiful dream it is.
"I-i don't know." You stuttered you were far too gone to even articulate what you are feeling all your emotions swelling for the past month or two bubbling up into a mess of emotion. You want us to tell him tell him that your day was crap tell him how crappy you looked right now tell him that he can't believe he saw you like this that your first meeting with your favorite character your favorite person in the world was like this red in the face tears falling from your red and puffy eyes.
But Ingo did not seem fazed; he was not disgusted, he was not angry at you. He understood if he was there if he wasn't trapped behind the screen, he would have wished you in his arms and laid his lips on your forehead. He knew how you felt; he listened to your angry ramblings about yourself; he listened to the times people had treated you like you were less than human or misused your kindness, manipulated and used you for their own gain. He wanted to hold you close, make you something you like, and tell you that the word you know about yourself is not true; he wanted to tell you how much you mean to him and how nice and loving you are, how kind and thoughtful and how gorgeous you were. Those people who mistreated you are not good people, and you deserve to be respected, you deserve happiness, and you deserve to be loved.
You deserve to be told that you're beautiful every day, to be made breakfast in bed and kissed at every waking moment. Because that's what he would do for you; that's what his heart ached for him to do.
But he did what he could do which was listen to your broken sobs as you pour your heart out.
" It sounds like you had quite a day... I wish I could do more than just listen and speak to you, but what I can do is tell you what the things you say about yourself is not true... and I wish you could see yourself the way I see you. Could you stay with me for a while? I wish to talk to you, and we start from the beginning, shall we? Now, my dear, please tell me what's bothering you and wipe away those tears. Pretend that it's my fingers swiping across your eyes."
His voice, usually loud and booming, was surprisingly soft, warm, and welcoming. From his calming voice to your Outburst earlier, you felt your heart slow down and your tears dry as you wipe them from your face; those steel gray eyes light up for a moment when he sees just a piece of a smile flicker on your lips.
" there's that smile~"

Okay pause wait I just smacked in the face with another Submas Au concept-
(cw for kinda horror and death I suppose)
It's literally midnight and I have no visual representation of this but just HEAR ME OUT- SBSNBDBD.
"MissIngo"
Aka instead of being sent to the past Ingo gets glitched out of existence and becomes a glitched out MissingNo husk 😭.
This literally only originated from the fact Ingo can be spelled with the letters in MissingNo
MissingNo y'know?.
Now bro just kinda, exists as a glitched out, sad, amnesiac ghost almost always in some level of pain and only lives on in Unovan ghost stories. Essentially, dudes an Irl pokemon creepypasta. Dude is literally the submas version of Lost Silver NSNDNNDD.
Eh who knows maybe MissIngo and Lost Silver are friends lmao/j
Poor dude is literally such husk of his former self the universe itself can't remember who he is 😭. The only people fully aware of Ingo's disappearance is Emmet and Elesa cause suddenly their family, their fans, and their coworkers have never heard of an "Ingo" and Emmet has been an only child for years.
Emmet better buy an action replay or some shit cause if he wants to summon his brother he's gonna have to break the fuck out of reality BSBDJNDJD.

Hello! Could you do a self aware!Submas au
But its like swapped?
Where the reader becomes the self aware fictional character that falls in love with the player aka Ingo and Emmet. (It can be seperate or the twins liking the same person).
While the twins are big fans of reader for their memorable moments in the game. They even develop a crush on said reader, so much so, they have merch of reader.
Bonus: they also read x reader fanfics of reader
Ohhh this is so cute!!! Ok ok ok lemme try my best. Reader insert character uses He/they pronouns.
Self aware Reader x Submas
You were an ordinary npc in a cute farming gaming that the twins enjoyed playing together: Moondrop Hollow. This game featured not only farming, but fishing, monster hunting, friendships and romance. The twins liked the game and focused on certain tasks specific to them, Ingo particularly loved to fish and Emmet liked to farm, but they both enjoyed monster hunting because you were there. What made you stand out to the twins was that you were the train conductor of the region and a famous hero as well. Your title given to you by the Monster Hunter Guild was: Golden Eye; on account of your incredible archery skills, precision, and accuracy. You are the only train conductor brave enough to venture out into the farthest lands away from the safe borders of Moondrop Hollow, who is undoubtedly safe from harm due to your talents.
But unfortunately, you were never made to be a romantic interest. It's simply not written into the script of the game for you to be able to develop a relationship with the main characters who play as the farmer character. Emmet and Ingo have scoured the internet online in the hopes of finding a mod that would allow you to be a romantic character, but then the two would go into debates over who gets to marry you first.
Naturally, you don't have a lot of dialogue because you aren't meant to even accumulate friendship points. The only times you typically talk are when the twins purchase a train ticket and you lead them to where their destination takes them. They know about your lore after hearing dialogue from the other monster hunters talk about your heroic deeds and the game's initial development online, which went into more detail about your history. Aside from your current talents of keeping Moondrop Hollow safe from monster invaders, you have the most interesting backstory. You weren't always an archer, but a long time ago you were actually an magic botanist, making herbal potions that had the power to heal people. You were called to a divine duty in order to protect the world in sealing away a great evil and became part of a legendary group of heroes. But in the last moments of the fight against the great evil, you and your companions were outmatched. That is when your great leader ordered you to use the dark tome you found sometime during your quest. This ancient book of evil carried the worst of all curses in a language only you could read due to your knowledge in the kingdom's ancient history. Seeing there was no other option, you began to talk in an ancient tongue and sealed away the evil, but in doing so you also cursed your friends and everyone turned into stone. It wasn't until many years later you realized the effects of the curse: you stole the lives of everyone who was within the vicinity, which meant their lifespan was now yours, including the evil you sealed away. Moondrop Hollow takes place in a whole generation after your quest, which meant you were the oldest npc. The few times you did speak, you would simply warn the twins of the danger they were about to face, depending on which area of the world you were dropping them off at. And congratulating them when they made it back alive. One day, the twins were playing on their day off, enjoying their time as usual. Though they had each other, they had no romantic partner of their own but bonded over their adoration of you. They had merchandise from the official store along with some fan-made items sold online. While the twins were playing, you were simply waiting in your train office, mindlessly staring at your dark tome when it whispered to you. A dark swelling force of energy surges from the book and attacks your mannequin body; you suddenly lurch and gasp as you become sentient.
Naturally, you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? You came to the stark realization you weren't alive or real and never were. You were simply the fabrication someone made to appeal to others. You ran from your train office and tried to interact with the villagers down in the valley but they don't talk to you, their expressions all stay the same no matter how hard you try to make them talk. Then Emmet notices you, away from your train office and in town square? You turn your head to see that the farmer character, one of the twins who eagerly rides your trains is standing across from you. They start to move and you freeze in a slight shock before you see them running in a circle around you? Then you hear it, the voice of a man who eagerly yells at another to come down to the village square. You do not know where this voice comes from, it doesn't sound familiar. Then the other farmer, the twin brother, comes running from the beach to see you. He too runs in circles around you but you stand there in a slight shock. Who were these voices? Why were they happy to see you? What did this mean?
