Neta: awwww Don't worry, you're going to be great. if something happens you can come to me ok as you have your shift buddy Antho.

Antho:.............. Can I go home early

Neta: You can but you won't be paid for the full day

Antho: hmm

Naomi: so uhhh....... what... what do we do

Neta: well Right now this time it's not a busy time of the year. You guys are hired right after the brunt of spring break. Thankfully y'all didn't have to get involved with that. Right now you're just going to get regulars coming in coming out. Just greet them. Say hi. Answer questions.... you can be on your phone. Just you know..... if someone approaches you assist them.

Antho: how long is our break?

Neta: well this is a 5-hour shift so your break is going to be 30 minutes during an 8-hour shift. You know when you finally get the acclimated to everything it will be an hour. Any more questions?

Antho: I have one

Neta: any questions that pertain to the job and not my physical appearance?

Antho: no

Neta: All right then. So I'm going to be in the back to-

Antho: why are you dressed like that?

Neta:............ I have to go to a graduation after this

Antho: aren't you supposed to look nice during those occasions?

In other news........a shocking and viral video going around on the internet of a famous splat toker "Dead Tide" going on what appears to be a racially motivated rant in popular music store "Rock Shock". The video may be shocking and disturbing to some audiences

TV anchor: splat talk has since been removed her content and her account from the website. Making a statement that they are "shocked and upset by the video. They do not hold or promote the views of that splat toker has displayed in the video"

but the video is sparking a lot of conversation about the relations between people who were once below the surface and those who lived on the surface

(random jellyfish): I think the relationship between those who lived in the sewe- underground and those who lived on the surface it seems pretty good. I haven't seen any conflict. I haven't seen any....... Ill will from any group or party.

(Random sea urchin): I feel like we want to pretend that everything is okay and it's not. I will acknowledge that we have made a lot of progress but there is still tension that and still needs to be addressed.

Tv anchor: .......... We did ask the store owner to comment on the situation but was politely denied but he did put out a statement on Inkstagram addressing the situation

Hello everyone, this is Neta. Before I start I went to apologize to those who were affected or hurt by what happened in My store earlier today. As an octarian business owner I always thrive to make a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who walks in and today was not that day. The shocking and upsetting comments that were said by a customer was unacceptable and heartbreaking and just not the energy that I thrive to have. She will no longer be allowed in any of my locations starting today.

Starfall's Helpful Locations Guide 1 !

We thought It'd be helpful if we discussed some of the locations you can visit during your stay in Starfall, that way you can plan ahead for sites you wanna see! So have this 'lil guide with descriptions of each place and what they have to offer! (This post includes places from the City! Check our other post for Suburban Spots!)

City Sites !

Starview Cinema

If you're looking to watch movies in HD, Starview Cinema should be at the top of your places to visit. A few years back, it was redone to give it the aesthetic of a vintage Cinema; a giant movie board - updated daily -, a large, lit-up sign, ticket booths under the awning, it's got it all! Inside, despite the illusion of a flat roof outside, there's a domed ceiling with a starry sky painted on, giving the building a magical night feel. There are self-salting and buttering stations, concessions, and even a bar for you to get a little sum :) There are two wings on either side, each holding 10 regular theatres and 1 VIP theatre. People praise Starview on how quickly new releases make it to the screens, but recently, "movies" and "ads" containing strange, often graphic, material have been appearing where they aren't meant to. Not to fret, the staff are working on a fix for this! So If you see anything strange, do make sure to report it.

Celeste Aquarium

The Celeste Aquarium is quite a sight to see, and not just for the life within, but for just how grand it is; gorgeous detailing surrounds the entire building, along with marble pillars and steps, which are always kept pristine. There are 3 sections in total, split into two wings on either side of the main building, which sports a giant glass dome; it's ethereal at night! Each section houses a different type of aquatic lifeform: smaller fish, like seahorses or clownfish, are at the right wing, while the left wing holds larger fish and creatures, like whales and sharks. There is a large, cylinder tank at the center section, under the dome, that holds a mix of both wings, though majorly holds rare, magical creatures. Sometimes, there are mermaid shows held at the center tank; however, Celeste Aquarium does not use real mermaids for these shows; despite some people pointing out how real the fins look, we can say that its thanks to our special effects team that we're able to make the mermaids look convincing!

Novelty Nook

A popular, well-known bookshop within the city; a staple if you're an avid reader! The building is two stories tall, and its exterior is modern, with a solid black coat of paint on the bricks in front and large windows, making it stand out from the shops on either side. It has a cute black awning with a sign just above it. Although it seems small outside, it has a surprising amount of space once you step in. It exhibits a homey vibe inside, warm lighting and a relaxing feel, contrasting the cool, modern design of the outside. It has books from every genre, and nearly every author: Kids' books, romance, murder mystery, how-tos, you name it and the shop has it! In the back of the store, there's a spiral staircase leading to the second floor - though it barely counts as one, sporting a hollowed center to view the first floor and vice versa. There are sliding ladders on some bookshelves, for the books higher up. It's a great place to go if you're looking for a good book to get lost in, or to meet new friends with similar interests!

Hope y'all like to have some more mermaid AU stuff! ❤ I had this idea floating in my head for a few days now and I really just need some nice, fluffy stuff to occupy my thoughts for a bit.

While seadragons don't have the ability to latch on to things with their tails like seahorses do (even though they are in the same family), they're freaking mermaids and it's cute af so I'm just gonna ignore it lmao

However, I did fashion Zain's tail after baby leafy seadragons! My thoughts are that the older a mermaid gets, the more markings they acquire on the face and arms and obviously, grow into their true colors. Webbed hands and claws are also something that only becomes retractable when they mature.

The story here would be very Finding Nemo-esque. Zain is the only surviving child of Salim's and so Salim is very overprotective. Leafy seadragons aren't very fast swimmers either, so Salim has to rely on the seaweed to protect them.

My Ranking of their Demon forms

As someone who is a Monster lover, I want to do a ranking list for their form from my least to favorite form.

Satan (Sorry Han, Sya, and Shio.... Please don't be mad)

But his form is my least favorite out of all of them. The all button up shirt and the spotted pants. Its just so....not work well with each other for me at least. I like the idea of the feather boa as a reference to Lucifer's third pair of wings.

The horns and tail I like, especially the idea that Satan keeps his tail wrap around his leg is because it dangerous having it swing around like Levi's and Belphie. Due being more sharp and bone like.

And Demon marking (Where's the character sheet showing it!!!)

Asmodeus

For being the avatar of Lust, their doesn't seem to have a sex appeal. Maybe because how the sleeves cuts, Freaking Mammon and Diavolo are showing more skin then Asmo. The cups on his wrist I like (its the same with Raphael's arm warms? I don't what to call them.) And his pants with the right leg has small part that show skin.

I like his horns with the pink tips, but the wings.... I'm indifferent they look rubbery to me and I don't think that he can fly or stay airborne for too long.

And the demon markings... Their cute and fits with his sin.

Barbatos

His form looks great.... But I don't have strong feels about it. As a suits girl (aka I fall for men in suits and uniform) He's has a point with me. other then that he's okay.....

The tail is unique, and I notice something, all the 'pure' demons has tails that aren't animal like. (so maybe Mephisto's will be the same?) and the horns, their cool and creepy at the same time. But I feel like they can be break.

And just like Satan, where are the character sheet for his demon markings.

Diavolo

Now where getting to my favorites.

With Diavolo's form, this would be more believable in the past to have. Elephant in the room. Diavolo's form is the only one that can seen at anytime. When I say that, is when you imagine all these demon 13th BC and have these outfits? Diavolo's attire is timeless. You can see him during the fall of the roman empire and still have him in the modern era. The reason his lower is because of the gold broch? in his chest. Its too detailed for me.

The horns is *chef's kiss* perfect for him, and the wings.... Their at the complete opposite with Asmo and that he can fly with them. With his size 😏 the wings should be big and they are.

And the demon markings.... Are okay.

Leviathan

Levi's form.... is perfect for him, in relation with his name. The snake skin design on his pants, the rain/scales pattern on his jacket, and skin tight shirt that is covering his swimmer abs, all give the idea of water demon. My only problem is why purple is the color that stand out? Like with the Mammon, Satan, and Asmo you can see the color of their sins. But with Levi and the three other demons their sin's color is either doesn't stand out or there's nothing at all.

Now with the horns, like it coral or like the sea dragon seahorse scream underwater. And the tail perfect with his animal/familiar.

And his demon markings are beautiful.

Belphegor

This is my guilty pleasure demon form. So bias thoughts here.

I love that it's an emo like style (That's the first thought that pops into my head when I first saw this) The hoodie and bagging pants I'm really digging it. My only problem is the color blue. Like Levi, why the color different from his sin.

The horns... Maybe a little too big for him. But the tail I love it😍 Also I can't see this form being scary even though he kills us in this. (its just me, when I read others fic depicting the incident)

And his demon markings, are cute.

Mammon

Oh this I like! Mammon's form gives Rockstar vibes. The boots, shirtless jacket, and the belts/restrains(?) give that vibes. Like this subconscious idea that they choice for the Rockstar look is some parents in the early days associates heavy metal and Rock n' Roll music to being the devil music. Plus you can see his sin color.

The horns are cute, while his wings are one of my favorites! Since Mammon is slim and the fastest one out of the brothers his wings would fit his body type. And I like how you can tell bone like style.

And his demon markings.... well hear me out. I think why they are kinda fading is because it more on being a demon rather then his sin. Think about it, Mammon might be less demonic brother, due to him not having any demonic urge. And his sin makes him bad in the eyes of others.

And maybe that's why he is targeted by his brothers because he least demonic than them, as such their demonic nature subconsciously makes them pick on Mammon.

Beelzebub

And here's my second favorite demon form.

The jacket, cowboy boots, and his black top that show his figure just makes me faint. And the gray wind like design on the top and boots just stand out to me. The only complaint I have is the orange instead of his red sin color. Don't get me wrong I like it a lot.... but when the three brothers with their sin color works with their outfit then why not with the other brothers, Same goes to Levi and Belphie. The colors look great on them but is just a shame that they have sins color but they don't have them in their demon form.

The horns looks great on Beel, and the wings..... So, I have a confession..... I like insect theme designs. As such my original series has a race which is completely Insect/arachnid monsters. So I love Beel's wings. Its just I don't picture him as a bug/insect type of demon when I started playing the game.

And I love his Demon markings.

Lucifer

No surprise here!😂 And this is another bias pick.

The check list, Suit check, his animal/familiar in his design check, covered up check and with a cape like part check!! The only thing is.... the red! I love the red color he has! all the brothers with colors that doesn't match with their sin color I love. It just you can mistake Lucifer's color for red instead of his sin color being blue.

You know what! They should have given the sin colors to the brothers that has them in their design. Blue to Belphie, Purple to Levi, Orange for Beel, and Red for Lucifer. I'm just saying.

Now with his horns are okay to me, and the wings could be a little be bigger. But overall I love them, to the point I want to sooth them.

And his demon marking, I love it and just want to give it a little kiss 😚

Aquarium Date Fic !! Kagehina, but kag!asd. Kageyama pov. 2k words, oneshot. Tw : Sensory Overload! (it's present throughout the whole fic) Made partially for @spixi and partially so i could prove to myself that i can If there's a typo no there isnt <3 If you are an IRL this post doesn't exist <3

I typed out my message and pressed send, throwing my phone onto my bed.

Maybe I should go grab a snack or something... I think to myself, when I suddenly hear my phone buzzing against my pillow, and I dive to grab it. He replied to my message. That was fast.

Me : Hey we should go to the aquarium tomorrow.

Hinata : Okay :D sounds good 2 me!

Quickly, with my face quickly going beet red, I drop my phone and go to the kitchen to grab something to stuff my face with. I'm shaking, but as long as I walk quietly, I doubt my family will notice I'm even out of my room.

How should I reply? A thumbs up might be good, but it might be too cold. Any other reply is probably too much... Whatever. I'll go with the thumbs up.

I head back into my room and pick up my phone, typing a thumbs up emoji before covering my face again.

F/ck, I need to come up with something to wear, don't I..?

I arrive at the train station, feeling like I probably packed too much. I brought a backpack with an extra phone battery, 2 charging cables, (because Hinata has an apple phone,) and a bunch of snacks, as well as a water bottle.

Did I put on deodorant today??? I can't tell... If so, I'm probably already sweating through it. I start to feel sick to my stomach, but I don't have time to finish that thought when I spot Hinata walking in from a distance. He seems to be wearing basketball shorts and a t-shirt, and suddenly I feel overdressed in my jeans.

"Hey! Don't worry, I already bought my train ticket. You ready to go?" He asked while walking up to me. He didn't bring as much as a backpack, and I'm suddenly relieved that I brought so much.

"Yeah. It's coming in 2 minutes. I half expected you to be late." I stated, before realizing what I said. Sh/t! That was rude, wasn't it? I have to be nicer. Ugh. Hinata punctures my worries with a laugh.

"I'm not late that often, am I?" He states. This makes me feel a little worse about my comment.

"Hm. Just often enough." I state, carefully picking my words. I can't backtrack now, but I can try to redirect my speech to seem less biting.

"You only say I'm late because of last time!" He keeps laughing, keeping the mood light. I wish I could speak as easily as him.

"And possibly the time before that?" I reply. This is probably what he wants me to say.

"Shhhhh. What matters is I got here on time AND I have my ticket ready. Don't worry, I also brought enough for the aquarium ticket too!" He states, smiling. His smile is adorable, almost cute enough to distract me from what he just said.

"Oh, I was planning on paying for that." I reply without thinking.

"Ehh? Do you owe me or something? Should I be asking you for money?"

"No, no. I just thought...?" I'm really confused now. I was the one who asked HIM out, right? He knows how these things usually go, right? Maybe he just doesn't know...

"By the way, where are the others? I thought they would have arrived by now."

The... others? What others? The team??? This is a date, right? Wait...

I DIDN'T TELL HIM. I DIDN'T TELL HIM THAT THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A DATE. F/CK.

"I didn't invite them." I respond, my subconscious taking care of what my brain is trying to catch up to.

"You really find them that annoying? I know Tsukki and Yamaguchi can be a bit much sometimes but...?" Confusion flashes across Hinata's face.

"I just wanted to hang out with you. Is that a crime?" I answered before my brain could filter out that last comment. It would be useful in getting him to stop pushing, but it's far too rude for a date. Not that Hinata knows that last part anyway. I wish I could take my words back.

"You should be honored that I said yes in the first place." Hinata teases, my face turning red.

If only he knew what he said yes to.

Hinata and I managed to keep from fighting on the 30 minute train ride, which was a feat in and of itself.

I can't ruin this date.

"Hey, Kageyama? It looks like there is a student discount, and it also seems like there is a discount for groups. What do you think would be cheaper?" Hinata elbowed me, bringing me back into focus. I look up. He and I are both equally sh/t at math.

"Uh... Let's do the group discount? I'll pay for it. You can pay me back later." As if I'd let him do that. Hinata bought my excuse though.

"Okay! I can buy you lunch or something." He quickly walked up to the desk, and I followed him. "Can we have 2 tickets?"

Wait. Wasn't I supposed to buy them? If I was the one paying, aren't I supposed to ask? Is Hinata planning on paying???

"Oh, sorry, He'll be paying!" Hinata stated, gesturing towards me.

"Yes. Here's the cash." I quickly press down the bills that were almost getting damp from stress. I had already looked online at ticket prices, and made sure to set aside the perfect amount of money for two tickets in my pockets.

"Great! Let's head inside!" Hinata grabs the tickets, holding mine for me. We go up to the metal detector and I get my bag checked. Hinata, possibly because he has my ticket, or possibly out of kindness, waits for me.

"Can you hand me my ticket real quick?" I ask, throwing my bag back onto my shoulder.

"Sure, let's go in." We walk into the main lobby area, waiting to get our tickets checked. The aquarium is beautiful, and oh so huge. The high ceilings, and smell of saltwater, the giant whale sculpture that I can only assume is life size, and the concrete flooring, these things that on a glance are grand, start to give me a pit in my stomach.

"Kageyama! Come on!"

I look at the horizon line, and recenter myself. A quick yet deep breath and I'm ready to go. I walk up, and turn in my ticket in order to get a wristband.

"Kageyama?" Hinata states, causing me to look over at him. "Can you help me put this on? I can never do it by myself." He holds up the paper slip.

"Yeah, sure." I say without thinking. I wrap it around his wrist.

"Hey, make sure not to make it too tight. They are a pain to get off if you don't give them enough breathing room." I nod my head, and make sure to give him a gap.

"There you go." I let go of his arm, realizing just then how warm my hand is. I can feel my face getting warm too.

"Okay, let me do you now." He quickly fits the bracelet to my arm. "It's perfect! Let's go inside. I wanna see this penguin exhibit that I've been hearing so much about. I keep seeing ads for it and I've wanted to see it forever-"

Hinata kept talking. I don't think he ever stopped talking. It's nice though. It makes it easier to not focus on the huge building, or the shifting lighting, or the crowds, or the ambient music that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. Yup. I'm not focusing on any of that. Not. At. All.

My feet keep walking, despite my worrying. Hinata eventually slows, stopping before the largest piece of glass I've ever seen in my entire life. A giant tank filled with fish. The glass is taller than my house, longer than 3 busses, and blue and endless enough to make my heart stop in my chest.

F/ck.

Hinata turns around, and finds a bench to sit on, patting the seat next to him, while staring into the blue void. You feel like you have to bow down to its majesty. It is terrifyingly blue, terrifyingly enormous. I have never feared the ocean before, but I fear it in this very moment. A spotted whale shark swims past, paying no attention to the many people standing right against the glass.

"I could sit here forever." Hinata practically whispers. The giant tank orders your complete and utter silence. Even amongst a giant crowd, even with the littlest of children, everyone is quiet. The large speakers playing calming bass tones over the crowd of people, barely vibrating the floor.

"Hm. Me too." I reply. I could sit here forever, I feel like I already have sat here for infinity. Like its presence is something I could never escape. The pit in my stomach grows further. I break eye contact with the tank, reaching in my backpack. The zipper can barely be heard over the ambient noise of people shuffling. Was there always that sound? I bend down to look in my backpack. What was I going to get?

"Do you want a snack? I brought some granola bars." I state as I feel Hinata's eyes looking down at me.

"Actually, that sounds really good right now. I was just thinking about food." He states, bringing his head down to meet mine. I rustle around in my bag, and grab out a bar. It is barely bent. Passing it to him over my shoulder, he grabs it and unwraps it, sitting on the bench with his legs crossed.

"Sooo, what exhibit did you want to see?" He asks, taking a bite after.

"What do you mean?" I reply, choking down the pit in my stomach.

"Like... you invited me out here. So, what was it that you wanted to see?" He takes another bite.

"Uh. I just like fish, I guess." I look over at the tank, trying to avoid his gaze. I doubt he'll buy it, but it doesn't really matter.

"Me too! Let's go into the jellyfish room next? I can see the entrance to the penguins here and it looks packed. Explains why it's so much emptier here." He set his feet back on the ground and stood up, waiting for me to join him.

I leaned back down to zip up my bag, and we walked through a doorway into a smaller, darker room. Blacklights lit up the moon jellies as they calmly glided across the tank. Hinata seemed to drift off, but I didn't mind. It would probably be a good idea to be apart for a bit. I could calm down and collect myself quickly.

I walk up to the tiny seahorse exhibit, and look into the tank. I can't see them at all... I thought, when suddenly, I felt my forehead bump up against the glass.

How did I get close enough to bump up against it?

I go to look for a wall to lean up against. Leaning against something should help keep the pit down. I do a quick glance around the room. There are no walls. Only glass, and only fish. I hate fish.

Taking yet another deep and quick breath, I go back to meet up with Hinata. He was looking at a different kind of seahorse.

"Okay, I think I'm ready to go to the next section now." Hinata said, glancing away from the fish and over to the exit door. I nodded, and lightened up the scowl that was forming on my face. I didn't even notice it was happening until I felt my eyebrows aching from the effort. I just hope he didn’t notice.

The exit of the jellyfish room led to a balcony overlooking a lower floor. This must be the back of the aquarium. Below us there seemed to be a small cafe overlooking the sea.

"Here, let's go get some food! I can pay you back for the ticket that way." Hinata pulled my arm over to the down escalator. I step on right after him, and look down at the cafe.

It was very large, and honestly reminded me more of a cafeteria than a cafe, with lots of seating. After we reach the end of the escalator, he walked over to stand in line and stare at the menu. Looking for a good seat, I grab one right by the large window facing the water and set down my bag. I pull out the small amounts of snacks I've already brought to claim the seat and go over to Hinata.

"Hey, so I'm thinking about getting a sandwich. What do you want?" He stood, facing the menu.

"Honestly, just get me whatever you think I'd like." I state. I can't focus on the menu right now; I just don't have the energy to.

"Hmmm... Okay!" Hinata walks up to the register, while I go back to our seats. I'll probably regret that choice very soon, but I have backup food anyways, and I'm sure he'll eat whatever I don't, so it's not like the food will be wasted.

What the hell did he order??

I look at my plate, not quite understanding what the dish is even supposed to be.

"You said to get you whatever." He said with a smile, taking a bite of his sandwich right after.

"Whatever I might LIKE. What even is this?" I poked my dish with a spork, and it seemed to swallow it whole.

"No idea. I just pointed at the dish in the buffet." He shrugged. "I thought it might be funny, but it's less funny than I hoped. I expected more of a reaction." He looked up with the last sentence, making eye contact with me, which I broke a moment after.

"Sorry."

"Sorry? What are you saying sorry for? Since when did you say sorry anyways?" There was slight worry behind his voice, though it was hard to tell through his wide grin. To avoid answering, I quickly shove the food in my face. It's not great, but it's not really all that bad either. It's a little cold from sitting out.

"It's.... good." I say with a stuffed face. This causes him to start laughing again.

"You look super angry! That's the sort of reaction I was expecting." When did I even start scowling again? When I took a bite of the food, probably.

"You try it." I say, stealing a chip from his bag.

"I was the one who bought it anyway. I was half expecting you to make me eat it." Am I really that predictable? He took a bite, and made a variety of expressions, before settling on confusion.

"I wouldn't call it good. Maybe okay? It's definitely at least okay." He nodded to himself, taking a sip of water after.

"So, where to after this?" I ask.

We ended up on the train home while the sun was setting. It's almost to our stop. It felt so short, but we ended up hanging out for 5 hours. I almost forgot that I wanted it to be a date. I had to give up on that a while ago.

"Hey, we have to get off soon, get ready." I say, tapping his knee.

"Hm? Oh." He wakes up, blinking a few times and leaning forwards in his seat. He glances out the window.

The train stops, and we walk off onto the station platform.

"See you at practice tomorrow!" He says with a large smile, walking backwards towards the exit.

"See you." I reply, gripping the shoulder straps of my bag. I looked down

"I had a nice time on our date!" and with the last word, he turned around, running out of the station.

My head immediately turned upwards to where he was, as I feel my blood starting to rush to my face.

He... HE KNEW?!?

hi!! first of all, i have a quick question! what's your opinion on valentine's day as aroace? also thoughts on platonically asking your friends to be your valentines?

and to keep the valentine's theme, i brought some cool pink marine creatures for you <3

first one is yet another sea slug (who decided we need to have so many completely different looking sea slugs,,,). its name is okenia rosacea or hopkins’ rose nudibranch. they're pink in order to warn the predators and they get the colour from feeding on tiny pink bryozoans.

second one is hippocampus bargibanti or bargibant’s pygmy seahorse. their way of dealing with predators is to look like the corals. their colour usually depends on the place they live in during their youth! they look unreal to me, like oceanic plush toys.

Unfortunately, I don't have a very high opinion of valentine's day. Back before I realized I was aro and was still dating people, my romance repulsion would always get really bad on valentines day. Of course, I didn't know what romance repulsion was or that it was okay to experience it, which understandably made the situation even worse. And nowadays, I don't know any other people irl who don't experience romantic attraction, all my irl friends are dating people, and I don't have the kind of friendships where we do anything special with each other on valentines day.

I think the sentiment of asking a friend to platonically be your valentines is very sweet, and a great way for some to show their friends how much they care. however it's really not the kind of thing I'd do or be into, and I understand the sentiment of people who rebuke the holiday as a whole instead of feeling pressured to "substitute" their lack of romantic attraction/ lack of a significant other with a platonic substitute. Obviously, anyone who does/enjoys the idea of platonic valentines is completely valid, but if I were to do it, I'd probably feel like I was faking somehow. So really, the only thing valentines day means to me is that aromantic awareness week is right around the corner (since aro week is always the week right after valentines day).

Also!! those marine creatures are so cute!! Sea slugs my beloved <3

In return, here's some info on a plant I found out about yesterday!

Its scientific name is Boquila trifoliolata, and this vine has the ability to mimic the leaf structures of multiple types of plants. The leading theories on how this vine managed to mimic other plants was that either there was genetic or chemical transfer happening in between the vine and the host plant, but scientists have recently discovered that Boquila trifoliolata is capable of mimicking not just living host plants, but artificial host plants made of plastics, and now scientists aren't sure how Boquila trifoliolata mimicks other plants.

On their first anniversary, Ethan and Arundhati decided to take Alan and the girls to the aquarium for a day of fun and relaxation.

'Who wants to go to the aquarium?', Arundhati burst into the living room, clearly excited, forming a plan in her head.

'Me! Me!', the girls shouted.

'Then let's start packing up! We're going to leave once grandpa is here.'

'Is grandpa coming with us?'

'Yeah, he is.'

'Then the trip is going to be even more fun, isn't it, Uma?'

'Yup!'

A few hours later, they were on their way to the aquarium, when Alan realised why they were going on a trip in the middle of the week.

'Happy Anniversary, my children. Forgive me, for I just remembered it right now.'

'That's fine, dad, all that matters is you wishing us', Ethan mentioned.

'Yeah, dad, don't worry much about it.'

'Are we there yet?', the girls asked, eager to reach the aquarium.

'No, kiddos, but we will reach there in half an hour.'

As soon as they reached, the girls started pulling their parents towards the entrance.

'Wait, girls, don't run, the aquarium isn't going anywhere!', Aru said, scared that they would slip and fall.

'Aru, don't worry, I'm right behind them.'

The girls were mesmerised by the vastness of the aquarium.

'This aquarium is huge!'

'I know. It has many floors. How cool is that!'

'Wow', Uma said, looking around, deciding where to go first.

'Where do you want to go first, girls?'

'To see the penguins and the octopus!'

'Okay, let's go.'

'Look, they are giving him toys.'

'He's coming out to get them!'

'Go buddy go, you can do it!', the girls cheered along.

'Good job, bud!'

'What are these spiky ball-shaped things here?'

'They are called sea anemones.'

'They are so small and cute! I love them!'

'I know, they are so colourful and pretty!'

'What are those cup-like things, dad?'

'Oh, they are the suction cups, sugar. Octopuses use them to feel and smell things.'

'That's so cool!'

'This was amazing! Let's go to the penguins next, mom!'

'Okay, chipmunk, let's go. Slow down, girls, there is no need to run. You might hurt yourself!'

'Look how cute they are, Uma!'

'I know, they look so cute flipping their arms around.'

'Look at that penguin hop!'

'It's so funny to look at.'

'There are so many of them... How many do you think they have, Uma?'

'I think around 90-100. What about you?'

'I think around 200..'

'But why are they shouting? They are hurting my ears..'

'Looks like they are talking to their friends!'

'Come on, let's go to that fish tank over there', Ruby pointed out.

'Wait, grandpa, why are the bottles present in that fish tank?', Uma observed.

'Oh......'

'Hello, I'm Stephen. How may I help you today?'

'Could you please answer some questions that the girls might have?'

'Sure! Ask away!'

Why are there bottles here?'

'They aren't your regular bottles, they are treasures!'

'Treasures, that's so fantastic! Are they pirates?'

'Who?'

'The people who run this aquarium..'

'Oh, sadly, that's not the case. But, the people who bring them, called divers, are similar to pirates.'

'How?'

'Sometimes, when searching for fishes, they find various beautiful objects, which they keep as a collection in this tank to make the fish comfortable and to let them feel as if they are still living in the sea.'

'That's amazing! They look so lovely.'

'Where do they come from?'

'They come from Eastport Maine. It is one of the old fishing ports of the USA.'

'Wow!!', marvelled Ruby.

'We only include natural materials and keep away materials like plastic as they can cause harm to the fishes.'

'Ohhhh'

'How do the fishes use these treasures?'

'Some of them use it for laying eggs, while some use it for hiding.'

'That's so awesome.'

'Do you have any more questions, girls?'

'Nope.'

'Okay, thanks Stephen, you helped us a lot.'

'No worries, it's my job.'

'Okay, who wants to have lunch?', Ethan asked as Stephen walked away from them.

'What are we going to have?'

'Let's go check the canteen!'

'Yes please, my stomach is rumbling', commented Aru.

After getting the kids what they wanted, Ethan and Aru were going to sit down, when Alan approached them.

'Don't you want to spend some time alone?'

'What do you mean, dad?'

'Isn't it your anniversary today?'

'Yeah'

'Then go, celebrate it privately.'

'How can we do it now?'

'I meant, after taking the kids home.'

'Don't worry, Dad, I already have something planned.'

'Care to tell me what it is?'

'Sure, but not in front of Aru.'

'So, are you ready to explore more?'

'Yeah!!'

'Do you want to see the seahorses next?'

'Yeah, let's go, grandpa.'

The girls were in awe of the seahorses.

'Look at the different colours of the seahorses! Some of them are pink, the others are purple. It looks so splendid!'

'Look at those baby seahorses, Ruby!'

'They look so cute!'

'Will they eat the small fish here?'

'No, sugar, they might eat the same food, but they won't harm each other.'

'Grandpa, what are they eating?'

'Wait a moment, chipmunk' he peered as close he could get, 'I can't say if it's exactly that, but it looks like shrimp to me.'

'Is this seahorse changing its colour, Ruby?'

'There might be a little bit of change. I wonder why...', the kids discussed amongst themselves.

'Wait, why are those big seahorses dancing?', Ruby asked, pointing to a pair of seahorses near the end of the tank.

'Chipmunk, you can look it up after we go home, okay? I'm sorry that there is no one here to answer your queries.'

'No problem, dad, I know it's not your fault.'

'Mom, I'm tired, can we go home now?'

'Are you sure, chipmunk? Don't you want to explore?'

'No, dad. I just want to go home and sleep.'

'What about you, Ruby?'

'I agree with Uma.'

'Okay, then, let's go home. But first, who wants to get some souvenirs?'

'Me! Me!', the kids shouted.

'Let's go then.'

Ethan waited outside while Alan and the girls went in to get what they wanted.

'So, what did you get, girls?'

'We did not want to get anything, dad.'

'Why may I ask?'

'It was too boring, and the same stuff, everything was printed with their logo. Nothing felt interesting.'

'Oh.. and what about you, dad?'

'I did not find anything that I liked.'

'I hope that's not a problem.'

'Not at all.'

'Good, let's get going, shall we?'

The girls were so tired that they crashed on their beds as soon as they reached.

Ethan and Aru used this golden opportunity to celebrate their anniversary.

'Happy Anniversary, darling.'

'Happy Anniversary, love. You are the best gift I have ever received in my life and every day I thank God that we met again after all.'

'Aru, my love, my life has changed for the best since I met you. You have made me a human capable of emotions simply by existing. I will truly never be able to thank you enough. You have made me the man I am today.'

'Ethan, you always know how to make me feel all warm and fuzzy.'

'I have a surprise for you.'

'What is it?'

'Let's go to the kitchen to find out.'

When they entered the kitchen, Ethan started playing a romantic track.

'Wow.. this looks magnificent, Ethan. The candles smell so lovely. When did you get the time to set all this up?'

'I have my ways.'

'Candlelight dinner with such beautiful roses and amazing tender music... who knew that the great Ethan Ramsey is such a romantic?'

'I think everyone started to know that after we started dating, Aru.'

'What do we have for dinner, sir?'

'Oh, we have chicken alfredo, vegetarian lasagna, chocolate cake and red wine.'

'That's a lot of food. How did you manage?'

'As I said, I have my ways.'

'Okay, Dr Terminator, keep your secrets, but I must say, it looks very tempting.'

'Thanks. You will never stop using that nickname, will you?', he asked.

'Never.'

'Good, I'm quite fond of it.'

'Mmmm... this is indeed heavenly. I've never had anything this good. You are an amazing chef, Ramsey.'

'Why, thank you.'

'The wine goes so well with both the chicken and the lasagna, great choices, Ethan.'

'I know, that's why I chose them.'

'I don't think I will be able to eat anymore, darling. I'm too full.'

'At least have a bit of the cake...'

'Okay, honey. But only a teeny weeny bit.'

'Sure.'

The girls walked in just as Ethan and Aru finished cleaning up.

'Hi girls, how was your sleep?'

'It was good. What's for dinner? I'm really hungry.'

'Chicken Alfredo, Veg Lasagna and Chocolate cake.'

'That sounds really delicious.'

'Thank dad for it, he is the one who made everything.'

'Wow, thanks, dad! When did you get the time to make all of this?'

'That's a secret, kids. But I can tell you tomorrow when mom is not around, okay?'

After cleaning up and tucking the kids into their beds, Aru and Ethan collapsed into their bed.

'Today was an amazing day, darling. Thanks a lot for everything. I love you.'

'Oh honey, thanks for everything, too. You are my everything. I wouldn't be here without you. I love you', he cuddled with her before dozing off to sleep due to exhaustion.
