You’re Not Ready For Elijah Wood & Christina Ricci’s Team-Up In Yellowjacket
Showtime’s Yellowjackets s2 ep2 depicts Elijah Wood’s Walter and Christina Ricci’s Misty who may team up as detectives. Try to imagine a better duo.
Christina Ricci’s Misty is teaming up with Elijah Wood’s Walter in Yellowjackets season 2 and fans cannot be more excited. Yellowjackets season 2 premiered on Sunday, March 26th on Showtime to critical and fan acclaim.
Yellowjackets’ season 2 jumps between the past and the present, much like the first season. Set two months after the events of season 1, Yellowjackets shows Misty investigating the disappearance of Natalie (Juliette Lewis) with the help of a mysterious citizen detective who responds to Misty on a message board. In Yellowjackets episode 2, the audience learns that the mysterious man is Walter (Elijah Wood).
In Yellowjackets season 2, it is revealed that Walter knows where Misty works when he shows up with an elderly woman under the guise of care. He leaves her a note inviting her to help investigate Adam’s disappearance. The star power of both Christina Ricci and Elijah Wood in Yellowjackets makes the duo a formidable pair. Not only do both actors lose themselves in their roles, but both actors seem to already share a chemistry, despite not speaking to each other in person in the first two episodes.
Yellowjackets season 1 shows Misty to be an eccentric woman who was clearly traumatized by her experience in the woods, as well as some other childhood trauma that Yellowjackets season 2 could potentially explore. Giving Misty a buddy detective gives Yellowjackets the opportunity to further explore her character, as well as provide a moral dilemma for Misty later when Walter gets too close to the truth.
Based on the message board exchanges, it seems that Walter is like a male version of Misty, which likely means he will become a frenemy/rival for Misty. Misty is one of Yellowjackets’ most unique characters which is only heightened by Christina Ricci’s performance. Giving Misty a male counterpart could give her a mirror into her own behavior and make for compelling drama. Seeing that Walter shows up at Misty’s work randomly, it illustrates that he is one step ahead of her, which means he can be a foil to Misty.
Elijah Wood’s charm will only add to Walter’s character as Yellowjackets continues to follow his investigation. Based on some of the previews, it appears that Misty and Walter will be a deadly duo who may share many common traits. Yellowjackets season 2 will continue Misty’s attempt to cover up Shauna’s crime, but we will have to wait to see if Walter will be too clever for the group.

Misty Walter detective duo chemistry is very anticipated and I am sure they are both fantastic actors and they will deliver 👏

Saw another "Keanu is a zionist" post with no supporting evidence or citing and this annoyed me so I'm making a post about it. To preface, this is all in good faith and to educate.
Zionism is, to be put simply, the belief that Israel has a right to make their own homeland, to create a "place for all jews" by clearing out the native population and culture. As Israel is committing a genocide, it is perfectly acceptable for those supporting Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people to be labeled a zionist.
Specifically we are going to be talking about Keanu Reeves and his involvement with the zionist company Paramount, who expressed their explicit support of Israel and has not issued another statement changing their stance as far as I am aware. I will also be adding film making information as needed.
To start off, we only know of two examples of Reeves interacting with people who have a connection to Israel. He has not stated his stance on any social or political movement, full stop. The first of two such instances is his weapons trainer for John Wick 2, who was hired by the producers specifically. And the second is his attending of a party in 2014 by producer Arnon Milchan, who you may know from movies like; Fight Club, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the Chipmunks sequels, and more. At this party Reeves was photographed speaking to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. [image description in alt]
Tumblr media
This photo is the only information we have on this party and their interactions. Here is an article gossip mag MalibuTimes released on it. This article also goes to say that Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife made sure to interact with multiple actors- in fact the photo they used for this article is them posing with James Caan.
Seeing as this appears to be their only known interaction and Reeves has been photographed candid and not posed, it is a fair assumption to say they aren't friends catching up. On the film/actor side of things, parties like this are a fantastic way to network within the industry. Arnon Milchan is a well known name in producing movies with a long history and it would not be a smart move to decline or spur his invitation.
Now back to Paramount and Sonic 3, as is our main discussion. Paramount this last October in response to the Oct. 7th bombing announced that they stand with and support Israel.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you should know by now, six months later, Israel has far gone past "defending itself" as some may claim it has a right to do, and firmly and undeniably into genocide. In this time Paramount has doubled down on their support, donating large sums of money to Israeli based charities and military. In their new Sonic spin off series, Knuckles, one of the human characters openly supports Israel and practices a form of martial arts invented by the Israeli armed forces.
When it comes to Sonic 3 and staff and cast involvement, a little more context is needed. Filmmaking takes a long time and a lot of hard work. The script needs to be written before the cast can audition and then rehearsals, prop design, set and location set up, rigging and prepping Sonic character stand ins for their CGI coverups, and more all need to be done before filming can ever start. According to Collider this last summer Sonic 3 was set to start filming in August of 2023; meaning that cast had been hired months before that. Contracts for movies from big studios like Paramount or Disney often include Non Disclosure Agreements so that staff members wont leak anything before its ready and/or a legally binding punishment should a leak happen. We only found out Reeves is playing Shadow the Hedgehog this last week, and filming has completed earlier this month according to ScreenRant who cited James Marsden for that confirmation. Meaning that Keanu has been done for a little while now, if he was only in booth voice acting rather than some combination of on set and in booth. Depending on the NDA the agreement can last for years, according to BrewerLog Attorney's Office the average amount of time a NDA lasts is 1-5 years and depends heavily on what is outlined and what information the business in question wants to be kept secret.
Reeves nor his PR team has yet (as of 4/28/24) to make any statement regarding his role of Shadow the Hedgehog in the upcoming film, but that's the norm for him. Keanu Reeves rather rarely does interviews or public outspeak; he doesn't even make a statement or announce when donating or setting up regular funding to charities in the past.
To wrap things up there simply isn't enough to say Keanu is a zionist. Circumstantial at best, and heavily assumptionist and bad faith at worst. If in the future there is confirmation that Keanu purposefully or willingly sides, supports, or is politically aligned with anything to do with Israel and their genocide of the Palestinian people and their destruction of Gaza Strip then I will absolutely change my tune here. But there's ACTUAL people who are vocal about their support of genocide who I see get no negative feedback. Jerry Seinfeld openly support and even donates to Israel- why say nothing about him? Or Gal Godou. I have literally seen zero posts about either of them.
TLDR; Keanu isn't a zionist, and explaining why

‘Batman: Mask of the Phantasm' 4K Blu-Ray
Celebrate the 30th anniversary of the most universally acclaimed film in the Dark Knight’s legendary cinematic history when the newly-remastered animated movie Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, comes to 4K Ultra HD for the very first time. From Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment, the film will be available to purchase on 4K Ultra HD on September 12, 2023.
Tumblr media
The release will also include an all-new featurette Kevin Conroy: I Am The Knight, which takes a look at the legacy of Kevin Conroy, who voiced Batman for 30 years in film, television, video games and more.
Rooted in DC’s acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series and released theatrically on Christmas Day 1993, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm has not only been ranked by Time magazine as one of the 10 best Super Hero movies ever, but is also arguably the core fans’ all-time favorite Batman film. The movie has been rated at the top of the Dark Knight film franchise by such popular entertainment media as Empire, Screenrant and Paste. And in the ultimate mainstream salute for its time, Gene Siskel & Robert Ebert didn’t initially review the film during its theatrical release, but later dedicated a portion of their At The Movies weekly TV series to pay compliment to the film – and voice their regret for not giving it the attention it deserved during its original run – when Batman: Mask of the Phantasm was distributed for home entertainment.
Tumblr media
The 4K HDR/SDR remaster of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm was sourced from the 1993 Original Cut Camera Negative and was scanned at 4K resolution. Digital restoration was applied to the 4K scans to remove dirt, scratches and additional anomalies, but special care was given to not touch the film grain or the animation cel dirt that was part of the original artwork. This is the first time since its theatrical release that it is presented in its 1.85 aspect ratio. The original 2.0 mix and the 5.1 tracks were remastered to remove or improve defects such as pops, ticks, dropouts and distortion.
The animated film features an all-star cast headed by the quintessential voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy, alongside Dana Delany (Desperate Housewives, China Beach) as Bruce Wayne’s love interest, Andrea Beaumont, Mark Hamill (Star Wars franchise) as the Joker, Stacy Keach (Nebraska, Prison Break, Mike Hammer) as Phantasm/Carl Beaumont, Abe Vigoda (Barney Miller, The Godfather) as Salvatore Valestra, Efrem Zimbalist Jr. (The F.B.I.) as Alfred, Hart Bochner (Die Hard) as Arthur Reeves, Bob Hastings (McHale’s Navy, The Poseidon Adventure) as Commissioner Gordon, Robert Costanzo (Forget Paris, City Slickers) as Detective Bullock, Dick Miller (Gremlins, The Terminator) as Chuckie Sol, and John P. Ryan (The Right Stuff) as Buzz Bronski. Additional voices included Pat Musick, Marilu Henner, Neil Ross, Ed Gilbert, Jeff Bennett, Jane Downs, Vernee Watson, Charles Howerton, Thom Pinto and Peter Renaday.
Tumblr media
The Batman: Mask of the Phantasm filmmaking team is composed of the award-winning core group behind Batman: The Animated Series. Eric Radomski and Bruce Timm directed the film from a screenplay by Alan Burnett, Paul Dini, Martin Pasko and Michael Reaves, based on a story by Burnett.
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm will be available on September 12, 2023 to purchase Digitally from Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Vudu and more. 4K Ultra HD Discs will be available to purchase online and in-store at major retailers. Pre-order your copy now.

SYNOPSIS:
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm opens with the city's most feared gangsters being systematically eliminated, and assumed blame falling on the Caped Crusader. But prowling the Gotham night is a shadowy new villain, the Phantasm, a sinister figure with some link to Batman's past. Can the Dark Knight elude the police, capture the Phantasm and clear his own name? Unmasking the Phantasm is just one of the twists in this dazzling animated feature, which provides new revelations about Batman's past, his archrival the Joker, and Batman's most grueling battle ever - the choice between his love for a beautiful woman and his vow to be the defender of right.
SPECIAL FEATURES INCLUDE*:
Kevin Conroy: I Am The Knight (New Featurette) – For 30 years, Kevin Conroy defined Batman for multiple generations using only his voice, best exemplified in the landmark film Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. Conroy passed away in November 2022, but his legacy lives on in 15 films, nearly 400 episodes of animated television series, a dozen video games, and as a live-action Bruce Wayne in the Arrowverse’s 2019-2020 “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event. Several of Conroy’s contemporaries – including animation legend Bruce Timm, Batman producer Michael Uslan and revered voice actress Tara Strong – pay tribute to the star who remains the Dark Knight for millions of Batfans.
Bonus episode of Justice League: Unlimited featuring a cameo from Phantasm.
*Special features are not available in 4K Ultra HD.
The Batman legend continues in this story that tells of Batman's most difficult battle, as well as his confrontation with a mysterious killer, who holds the key to Batman's secret past.

Holy shit, this Screenrant article is hilarious. And it wasn't even intended to be!
And by hilarious, I mean hilariously terrible.
I was somewhat curious about what they had to say, maybe with some intel regarding the creators aging Jay down in season 2 or something like that. But it's just this...seriously...
"That '90s Show season 1 was released on January 19, 2023, even though it was set during the summertime. Season 1's winter release did not align with the summer setting and subsequent vibes of the show. Since That '90s Show season 2 is expected to take place during the following summer, a summer release is much more fitting for the show's seasonal setting."
That's not fixing any timeline issues, dumbass. And then their dumb ass proceeds to argue we could get a "Christmas in July" ep.

This is another misleading antis tactic. They take a snip of something out of context and try to portray it as fact and fit their narrative.
This SS is from an OPINION piece from Screenrant. The writer, Michelle Boyar, does not work for Netflix, nor for anyone close to the situation.
Boyar has no actual idea of what the writers or producers have planned for Season 2. The headline includes the word "tease" to indicate they don't have anything definitive.
She is SPECULATING based on nothing but her own interpretation of an interview done by Variety. She’s not a real reporter, she’s just a freelance blogger for an entertainment gossip mill. She has a clear bias as she unfairly describes the character as toxic and blames Bianca’s jealousy and competitiveness with Wednesday on him.
She also references the rumours without the context of Somebody’s suspicious behaviour and actions. This is clearly a biased and not well researched opinion piece.
She also presents Xavier as nothing but a romantic interest.
“However, Ortega's comments seem to suggest that Xavier's part in Wednesday season 2 will be reduced.” (Bolding added) (Boyar, supra)
She totally disregards any possibility that he could be written as Wednesday’s friend if they do indeed eschew literally all romantic plots. Please also note Boyar uses purposefully vague language to allude that the character “may” be cut, not decisive language that says he will be cut.
She can’t because she has no actual idea.
“We’re ditching any romantic love interest for Wednesday, which is really great.” https://variety.com/2023/tv/news/jenna-ortega-wednesday-season-2-drop-love-interest-horror-1235635497/ (last visited 17 June 2023)
Also, Ortega had specified they were ditching romance for Wednesday. That leaves it open for Xavier to have romantic interests with others. Maybe he gets back with Bianca or perhaps there will be new characters.
Literally nothing about what Oretega has said indicates Xavier’s character will be cut or diminished. There is no “evidence” of Xavier’s departure, it’s pure wishful thinking of a toxic fan.
Here is the article in full: https://screenrant.com/wednesday-season-2-story-tease-xavier-exit-evidence/ (last visited 17 June 2023)

Nina and Maggie interview with Caitlin Tyrrell for Screenrant :)❤
Screen Rant: I love this show so much! Season two is amazing and you both are phenomenal in it!
Maggie Service: Oh, thank you so much. Nina Sosanya: Thank you.
Can you talk to me a little bit about playing the human story in this largely Celestial series?
Maggie Service: Yeah, I think they're quite good grounding I think for the audience. It's almost like they're a connector between the Celestial world and the audience. I think that's been set up really well in season two. Nina Sosanya: Yeah, they kind of magnify the themes in a kind of human way that we find sort of quite relatable. The themes of good and bad. The themes of when and if to trust another person with your vulnerabilities, which is what's going on with Heaven, Hell, Crowley, Aziraphale, and, you know, everyone. Maggie Service: Everyone.
I love your characters' dynamics with Crowley and Aziraphale. Can you talk to me a little bit about working with David and Michael to create those relationships?
Maggie Service: Yeah, well by this point, their portrayals of Aziraphale and Crowley are just iconic. But my character didn't get to have anything to do with them really in season one. So it was lovely to actually meet Aziraphale and Crowley in season two and go, "Ah, yeah. This is, okay, that's who you guys are." Nina Sosanya: You know what's actually quite nice is also because they're so iconic that you read the book, you know the characters, then you see season one, and then as human characters, we get to treat them [as] they're just these normal blokes. So these characters don't know about their iconic status at all and don't care, really. They're just taking them at face value. Two quite kooky odd guys to be either suspicious or to be in awe of. Maggie Service: Just they're the loveliest men in the world. Yeah.
What was it like collaborating with Neil Gaiman this season on an original story versus season one where it was an adaptation?
Maggie Service: Well, his focus was very, very clear for what the story was going to be. [He] and Terry Pratchett had spoken about what the sequel would be. Season Two might be a bridge to a possible thing that may or may not happen. Who knows. We have to see how much people love Season Two first, but he was very clear on what it was. So actually, the scripts hardly changed at all. Quite often, you'll get so many different versions of a shooting script, but really, when they landed that's what we shot and that's the story we told. Nina Sosanya: But he was lovely. He was very happy being on set and watching his work comes to life. He likes actors and he likes that process. He likes watching the process of his words being owned by other people. He's very generous in that way. He sort of gives his work away to the actor. Maggie Service: Yeah, he likes writing for specific people, I think because he feels safe in that he can probably hear how it's gonna sound. So when it does I think he quite likes that too. Makes him feel quite clever and makes us feel like we've done a good job. It's good for everyone.

“Later, it was decided that movies must be released theatrically on the same day that they debut on streaming and must play on the big screen for at least seven days in order to be nominated” as of 2023.
I guess that answers that. Googled it and an article from screenrant came up.

GO2: “Every Day” [S02E06].
Serie: Good Omens. Skapare: Neil Gaiman. Författare: Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman (boken). Författare: Neil Gaiman & John Finnemore (avsnittet). Regissör: Douglas Mackinnon (avsnittet). Publicerad: 2023. Medium: Amazon Prime Video.
¡Oi!
