Hey, I’ve just seen this reddit post and thought you would be interested to see it! It’s quite the prediction of what the rest of the Marvel Studios projects will be leading up to Avengers 5 and beyond.

What do you think? I am probably also burnt out on Marvel projects, but I think I would be interested in most of this as long as it’s of a higher quality than Secret Invasion. 😅 I mean, I definitely would see this Young Avengers film for Kamala Khan… and I’m curious to see how Dr Strange is paired up with Clea. It’s just gotta be good, you know?

Also, I saw in a comment about the TV shows that save for Ironheart (which was filmed last year) all of those are going to be 9+ episodes long. Honestly, that just might be for the best — maybe they finally know what we want. 🤞

Doctor Strange 3 in 2027 😭 Looking at the list made me realize that I barely care about anything lol. I'm looking forward to some of them, but there's a lot in that list I'm not interested in.

Young Avengers...I don't know. I love them in the comics, but I'm not that interested in them in the MCU for some reason. I don't know if it's because of the lack of news about Hulkling, who should've been introduced in Secret Invasion or the Marvels, or a lack of faith in how they'll adapt the characters. I like MCU America, but that's not America Chavez. She's basically an entirely new character who's just America in name and powers, not personality. I have zero faith in their capability to accurately show Billy and Teddy's relationship if Teddy is even introduced. And it's wild if he isn't introduced; how can you have Wiccan without Hulkling? Plus, how are they going to deal with a Jewish boy (if the MCU doesn't erase that, too) having a mother who joined a Nazi terrorist group?

I'll be seated for Kamala (I'll always support South Asian characters), but the ages of the characters are so weird. Kate is 23, and she's supposedly a Young Avenger, but she’ll probably be like 25 by the time the movie comes out. Steve literally led the Avengers at 27. Plus, Peter was 16 when he became an Avenger.

Stephen and Clea have so much potential to be a great couple, but I'm scared that they'll mess it up because the MCU isn't great with romance. They already have family drama since Clea is Dormammu's niece, and the two entered the Dark Dimension at the end of DS: MOM. But I'm scared that they'll ignore that, like how they ignored the Mordo post-credit scene from DS 1. And they'd actually have to give a damn about Stephen instead of making Scarlet Witch ft Doctor Strange again.

I'm meh about Vision Quest right now, but I'll be the first one to watch it if they adapt Tom King's Vision comic for the show and introduce my funky robot daughter, Viv Vision. Vision (2015) is one of my favorite comics of all time.

Wonder Man...ugh. He's the worst, but Trevor Slattery is in it so at least it'll be funny. But he'll probably be very different in the MCU since he isn't connected to Wanda and Vision. He better stay away from Carol, too.

I honestly forgot Ironheart was coming out 😭 But yes, you're right. All of them have the potential to be great, but that's doubtful looking at their track record lately.

Hello! I'm happy to announce I'm running #comicscarletwitchweek again, like last year from August 1st to August 7th. Unlike last year, the themes for every day are more loose, with very simple words for people to put any meaning they wish to. I will leave suggestions for what each day could represent, but these are only suggestions for anyone who might need a little inspiration or guide.

As always, this week is centered on Wanda's comic book appearances. MCU & MCU adjacent content is not what we're looking for & won't be reblogged. There is no expectation to participate in every day, this is merely a week to share your love for Wanda's comic book appearances!

Day 1, 1st of August, Tuesday - Solo

definition; done by one person alone; unaccompanied. You can take solo to refer to one of her solo comics, wherever that be her 4 issue limited from 1994, James Robinson's 2015 series, or Steve Orlando's upcoming series. You could also take it to refer to Wanda by herself, to reflect on who she is divorced from her other connections. Maybe you want to write about her delivering a sick guitar solo in a band au!

Day 2, 2nd of August, Wednesday - Identity

definition; the fact of being who or what a person or thing is. Wanda has many idenities accumilated over the year; sister, wife, mother, teacher, and many more. This day offers an opportunity to explore one or more of her identities in whatever way you want to or to focus on one particular aspect of her. Wherever you want to focus on Wanda's identity with motherhood, the way her identity with herself has changed & evolved over the years, or a headcanon for her being queer, all are welcomed & accepted!

Day 3, 3rd of August, Thursday - Fairytale

definition; a short story that belongs to the folklore genre. This could entail Wanda reading a bedtime story to her children, Wanda reimagined in a fairy-tale based alternate universe, expanding on the Wanda's depicted in the Marvel: Fairy Tales series, Wanda dealing with some fictional creature from folklore or something else.

Day 4, 4th of August, Friday - Teamwork

definition; the collaborative effort of a group to achieve a common goal or to complete a task. This could be interpreted as making something for Wanda & your preferred team with her, or Wanda teaming up with another character, etc.

Day 5, 5th of August, Saturday - Family

definition; a group of persons united by the ties of marriage, blood, or adoption. Wanda has grown an expansive family over the years, thanks in part to many retcons. Here, you can focus on her relationship with her brother, or the family she finds in the Avengers, or the family she & Vision build in Vision & the Scarlet Witch, or her various revolving door of parents.

Day 6, 6th of August, Sunday - Power

definition; ability to do or act; capability of doing or accomplishing something. This could apply to Wanda's physical powers & how those have changed over the years, her status as a Nexus Being, or the ways in which characters like Chthon have attempted to rob Wanda of her power & how she's grown for that, or an idea for an interesting application of her powers.

Day 7, 7th of August, Monday - Free Day

Do anything you want! Expand on a day, do something AU based, do a roleswap, just use it to do something general / nonthemed, anything goes!

I think we need to be more forgiving of people who are new to comics. Comics are a really inaccessible medium and especially if you're trying to get into one of the big two companies you're inevitably going to be confused and uninformed. I've been reading DC comics for about a year now (not including watchmen or wonder woman by Greg Rucka which I read years ago but didn't manage to get me into DC), and I've only really been a part of the fandom since July or August, and it's still really confusing and hard to tell what's fanon and what's canon. I have so many characters I haven't managed to read for at all despite wanting to, or only a handful of issues, or only minor appearances. I'd love to have read every single one of Roy Harper's pre-52 appearances but it's just not feasible, especially since DC particularly is inaccessible in another way - their app is only available to US residents. If you want to pay for comics then it's going to be expensive, even digitally - I managed to get Young Justice books 1-3 through comixology, which in itself is not a cheap subscription, but then the rest of the series is $20 a pop!! That's a lot of money!! And in print books go wayyyy higher, or even if they don't cost that much if you're buying a bunch then it's going to get expensive. But even if you're not paying it's confusing to just jump into something like this - don't get me wrong, this is what I've done both with marvel in 2015 and in DC last year, but it's not an easy thing to do and at first you're going to be fucking baffled. You're never going to know everything, it's not physically possible. Even for marvel, which, again, I've been reading since 2015, I haven't exactly come close to reading everything. I haven't even read every Deadpool comic, not even his main titles! I want to read gwenpool and moon knight and daredevil and non-spider-verse-related Spider-Man stories but it's just really fucking difficult to prioritize, not to mention keeping up with current runs.

And I'm doing my best, right? Like I recently finally managed to start reading superfam comics, and last year I started reading x men and scarlet witch, and as I said above I've been reading young justice, and I'm keeping up with like a dozen or more ongoings, and it's so fucking hard and I'm lucky to have enough disposable income and free time to do this. And people have been genuinely fucking mean to me. Like really super fucking dismissive bc how dare I ship the obvious most popular ship and not this more niche one when I haven't even read an appearance of that character!! How dare I not know everything about this run when I haven't gotten to that run yet bc I'm still trying to even track it down!! I can't prioritize comics I can't get my hands on when I have a shelf and a half of DC comics and I've only read about a third of it!!!

And it's worse for people who don't have the money and free time that I do . My parents pay my fucking rent and I only work part time, okay, I'm in a really privileged position. Some people are only reading the DC webtoons or only watching the young justice TV show and yeah it's frustrating to see so many people who don't know your favorite characters as much as you do, but I've been a Deadpool fan for close to eight years now and I've never gone onto anybody's page and told them that they're interpretation is bad and they should feel bad, I keep that shit to myself or AT WORST I complain to my friends in DMs or WhatsApp messages or whatever. The only stuff like this I complain about in public is stuff I consider genuinely harmful (the pit rage trope for Jason for example) or upon specific prompting, and even then I do it on MY blog, not somebody else's, and I don't tag it so people looking for content that they enjoy don't have to see it.

Like... Basically I feel like people are too harsh on casual, peripheral fans, or people who are new to the material, or even people who aren't new to comics but just don't know as much as you. A lot of people don't have any other options. You don't have to like the content they make. But actively going into their content or constantly making negative content about them is exhausting. I'm really tired of constantly seeing memes about how terrible batfam stans are. I don't even disagree, I just think you're annoying. But I don't reblog those posts just to shit on op. Maybe some of y'all should consider it.

My thoughts on the new Multiverse of Madness Trailer

Now that trailer was INSANE and there is so much to unpack so let me just start off by saying I am so excited for this movie. So let's get into some stuff I want to talk about theories!

1. This Scene

So that scene we had in the first trailer.... That's a whole ass illusion Wanda had up around her and Strange? If that is the case I'm surprised they gave us THIS given misleading scenes have been hidden in trailers until we see the movie especially if they are money shots. Like for example Peter fighting Electro, Sandman, and Lizard we all knew it was gonna have Tobey and Andrew's Peters in that scene with them or at least speculated about it being them. So Marvel just straight up giving this to us in the SECOND TRAILER is sus. Also her quote, "You break the rules and become the hero. I do it and I become the enemy. That doesn’t seem fair." Gave me chills.

2. Marvel's Illuminati Confirmed?

That scene had me REELING! Patrick Stewart is back as CHARLES XAVIER! I didn't think he'd ever return to the role. Now some of those chairs are empty in the scene now that could be on purpose they may really be empty or they may not and Marvel is hiding something. But then again why give us someone in a chair who may actually be REED RICHARDS. Also is Mordo in Strange's position in the Illuminati group or could Defender Strange be there? If they throw in Namor or Black Bolt I'd be shocked. Now the thing about Iron Man, I do now believe it could quite possibly be a variant of Tony and it being played by Tom Cruise and his depiction of Tony Stark/Iron Man is the Superior Iron Man. Also seeing those Ultron bots messed with me I can't stand Ultron and there's only one person I think that would make those and it's Tony, even though in the comics it was originally Hank Pym. Hopefully these ones don't go all psycho murder bot. With Patrick back in as Charles Xavier we will finally have Mutants and a glimpse of the X-Men coming into the MCU and also the Fantastic Four with Reed Richards coming in. Now whether that's Ioan Gruffudd or Miles Teller is hard to say. I would hope it's Ioan because personally I like his portrayal of Mr. Fantastic better seeing as the 2015 remake film was absolutely trash.

3. Christine Palmer/Clea Variant Theory

What we've seen of Christine out of both trailers I'd like to say this now. The one we see in the Wedding Dress that is the Christine we're used to seeing. But this Christine here I'm calling it now that she is a Variant and her Variant is none other than Clea, who in the comics marries Doctor Strange. I get her white hair is an iconic look and that one has red but the possibility is still there.

4. Rintrah and Wundagore Mountain

This...I believe the location that we see in this new trailer is in fact Wundagore Mountain. If you know Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver comic history well enough you know that is where Magda gave birth to Wanda and Pietro. Also there is a chamber among the caverns inside the mountain, Where Chthon wrote the Darkhold. So Wanda is coming here or attacking it? Guess we won't know until the movie obviously and what they will do with the lore of the place.

4. Scarlet Witch

WE ARE SIMPLY NOT READY FOR THIS WOMAN'S VILLAIN ERA.

Spider-Man: No Way Home was amazing but Multiverse of Madness is gonna change the Marvel Universe as we know it forever. We simply won't truly be ready for what we see in the theaters May 6th.

“Drink?”

You’re not surprised to see how sad she looks – Wanda. You’re still trying to feel her out, but you know how much pain she’s in. Even if Vision hadn’t been updating you on the status of the newest Avenger, you could see it written all over her face.

She looks at you, offering as much of a smile that you imagine she can muster. “What is it?”

“My special secret that I…” You let out a small laugh as you walk in with the two mugs, holding one out. “I only bring it out on special occasions.”

Wanda takes the mug and looks into it. “What is the occasion?”

You realize the real reason you came in here seems a little harsh now to say out loud, and you’re not quite sure you want to say it. The face you make must suggest it because Wanda’s eyes shut for a long moment.

“It is okay.” Her eyes open. There’s a tear trailing down her cheek. “I am okay.”

“Hey.” There are more tears now and you’re all too quick in finding a place for your mug and kneeling down in front of Wanda. “Hey. I’m sorry. Vision has been telling me how you were doing and I just…” You pause, trying to find the right words. “I just wanted to make you feel better. Losing someone is hard and I can only imagine what losing a brother must feel like, but I wanted to try and do something to make you feel better and—”

“Stop, stop, stop.”

You freeze, only to hear Wanda’s laughter break out through her tears. “Are you okay?”

“I am good. These are happy tears.” Wanda takes a small sip from her mug. “And much better now that you have brought me this. What is it?”

Your mouth falls open trying to evaluate the situation and what just occurred. “You’re not sad?”

Wanda looks down at you still kneeling in front of her. “I am always sad, but you and Vis have made me much happier since I came here.”

You feel the smile appear on your face slowly as Wanda reaches down for your hand, taking it in her own and squeezing it. “I just wanted to help. So does Vis.”

“If this is your way of helping,” Wanda holds up the mug, “then please continue helping.”

You let out a laugh. “It’s, uh, hot chocolate with some cinnamon and whipped cream and, you know, the works.”

“It is very good. Thank you.”

You try not to let the feeling in your stomach overwhelm you. “You’re welcome.”

2016

“Wanda?”

You knock on the door again, softly. “Wanda?”

There’s a sniffle. “Come in.”

You open the door slowly. “Vis went to the store. He should be back in a few minutes.”

Wanda wipes at her eyes, giving a nod. “Okay.”

You walk over, sitting on the bed next to her, reaching your arm out. Wanda moves to rest against you, laying her head on your chest.

“I’m trying,” you hear her say before she buries her face in your shirt.

“I know.”

When you, Wanda, and Vision had moved out to Edinburgh, you had expected things to be a little easier. You should’ve known the nightmares would never go away, no matter how far you tried to run.

“We’re going to be okay.” You rub at Wanda’s shoulders, leaning your head down to press a kiss to the top of her head. “We’ve got each other – the three of us. And we can make it through anything.”

Wanda nods. “It’s just, so hard sometimes. I feel like I’ve lost everything.”

“Hey,” you bring your hand up to push her chin up so your eyes meet yours, “you’ve still got me and Vision, and for as long as you’ll have us, we’ll have you too.”

2023

“Where is she?”

You’re not quite sure who you’re calling out to – probably anybody at this point. The battleground seems to go on for miles and while you remember the flash of red earlier in the fight, you haven’t caught sight of her yet.

“Wanda! Has anyone seen Wanda?”

Everything has gone eerily quiet and you find yourself rushing forward. You see it, then – Tony and the Avengers surrounding him.

You realize what must’ve happened when Thanos disappeared.

You see her, in the group, and your feet have a mind of their own as you run forward to her.

There’s no words spoken between the two of you when you reach her, but she’s falling into your outstretched arms once you get close enough. Your hands find purchase in her tangled hair as hers grasp onto you, holding on so tight you’re not sure if she’ll ever let go.

“I’ve got you,” you hear yourself say, still unsure of everything that’s happened. You haven’t quite come to your senses since you returned from wherever you were and the battle begun. All you know now is that you have Wanda back, and you aren’t going to let her go anytime soon. “I’ve got you.”

2023: 5 weeks later

You look on at her – The Scarlet Witch. She’s beautiful, and dangerous.

But after all you’ve been through these past few weeks, all you want is for her to hold you.

“So, this is what happens when I leave you alone, huh?”

She lets out a small laugh, and you can’t help but think about how cute she is when she scrunches up her nose like that. “It’s new, but I think we can make it work.”

You feel it come on so quickly, the sudden wave of sadness. The past few weeks have been nonstop, with one thing after another that just didn’t seem to stop. You hadn’t been given a moment to breathe, and now that you had one all you wanted to do was cry and let it all out.

So you did.

And she was there to catch you.

You both fell to your knees, with Wanda wrapping her arms around you quickly. You cry into her suit, letting all those feelings you hadn’t realized you had been holding in out.

“I miss him. I miss him and this family that I didn’t even get to know, but I miss it. I missed you, and I just…” You swallow back a sob. “I miss it all so, so much.”

“I know, but you still have me.”

“But I didn’t have you.” You pull back, wiping at your nose. “I thought I had lost you.”

Wanda grabs your shoulders, gripping them tight. “You didn’t lose me. I just,” she closes her head and shakes her head, “lost my way a little, but I’m here. You have me and I am not going anywhere.”

The heavy feeling on your chest doesn’t go away when she pulls you back into her arms, but you whisper ‘I love you’ nonetheless.

1. Why did you choose your url? I can never fully explain how much of an impact Padme had on me growing up, and she is my queen, forever and always.

2. Any side-blogs? If you have them, name them and why you have them. Nope!

3. How long have you been on tumblr? Oh man, I think since 2015? Maybe?

4. Do you have a queue tag? Yes! I change it every couple months, and currently it’s “keep queuing forward” a la “keep moving forward” from meet the robinsons!

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place? Blame Katie ( @ohmy-leia ), she made me

6. Why did you choose you icon/pfp? I actually made my icon, I’ve just been on a Dair kick recently and how they deserved the world, and it was fun making some (there’s more here).

7. Why did you choose you header? I wanted something vibrant to go with my icon, and @natasharomanovf made the most GORGEOUS headers of Wanda and that scene where she turns to the Scarlet Witch is *chef’s kiss*. (Cece’s Wanda gif headers are here).
