DDLC characters when they're drunk headcanons

as someone who has never gotten drunk I am obviously the right person to make headcanons on this ;D (some of this headcanons are more set for when they're older)

Yuri

-I think would handle it the best out of all them. She has the most experience drinking out of all them so she knows her limits

-She has a pretty high tolerance though

-One of the big reasons she likes drinking is because it lessens her social anxiety 

-Gets increasingly more social and talkative the more she drinks, she’s gets more open and relaxed and is more willing to try talking to others even if she still comes off weird

-Along with that she also gets increasingly more impulsive

-She can already be a bit impulsive at times when she’s sober but this fact skyrockets when she’s drunk since there’s no voice of reason holding her back

-When she gets really drunk, without fail she will always do or say something in the spur of the moment that she horrifically regrets the next day which she’ll then proceed to agonise over it for the rest of the week

-If she’s in a good mood when this happens it’s usually just something really embarrassing that her friends tease her for

-If she’s in a bad mood when this happens something more dangerous could happen 

-She learnt from experience how much to drink as to not get to that point but also feel the weight of social anxiety lighten a bit

-If she’s drunk she needs someone to babysit her and keep a close eye on her, when she’s tipsy she babysits her drunk friends

-Also if she’s around someone she’s interested in romantically while she’s drinking she can turn real flirty

-She’s got some banger pick up lines up her sleeve, Yuri rizz is real

-When texting, still tries to spell good when she’s drunk but it doesn’t work out so well

-Imagine her infodumping while drunk, imagine a drunken Yuri rant, 10/10 must have experience

Natsuki

-She’s got a short tolerance and she’s not afraid to use it

-Was scared to drink at first because it reminded her of her dad but it ended up working out okay

-To sum up her drunken self, whatever emotion she’s feeling when she drinks will be exacerbated when she’s drunk

-if she’s in a good happy mood, she’s the life of the party, she’ll be energetic, much friendlier, she’s loud, excited, might stand on a table or two

-if she’s angry, she’s willing to throw hands over a slice of pizza. Copious amounts of swearing and angry half baked rants, again she’s loud, she’s a scary little feral gremlin. Tries not to angry drink since she usually ends up regretting those the most

-if she’s sad, she’s a hundred percent gonna end up crying. Will be more willing to spill her feelings, she’ll complain to the nearest friend, she’s pretty quiet and soft-spoken in this state.

-You might even see a rare clingy Natsuki if she’s in a certain mood

-overall she’s a wild card, a mixed bag of a drinking buddy

-Really likes going to karaoke and singing really badly and loudly between drinks

-hates the fact that she ends up throwing up 90% of the time

-a lot of burps and hiccups, she chuckles at it everytime

-still has a pretty good sense of danger when drunk off her ass

-a drunk Natsuki gets flustered cripplingly easily and can’t hide it, she falls apart, keep that in mind if you flirt with her

-cannot fucking hear you if you talk to her in a reasonable tone at a slight distance, goddamn deaf woman

Sayori

-the least coherent drunk out of these four

-also doesn’t have a very high tolerance, it doesn’t take many drink for it to get to her

-doesn’t like drinking too often but every now and again is okay

-is just super duper out of it when she’s drunk

-she’ll be half zoned out the whole time, her brain is %100 just vibing

-surprisingly won’t say much, she’ll have mild reactions to what’s happening around her or she’ll say or ask something really random out of nowhere every few minutes

-if you ask her a question she’ll reply like ten minutes later, very slow processing, windows 98 brain

-is extra clumsy when drunk. She’ll drop and knock over so many things and probably fall at some point. The next morning she’ll wake up with a bruise with no memory of how she got it

-if she’s in a good mood when drunk she’ll be really calm and lightly bubbly

-but drinking is bad for her when she’s not in a good mood. Can turn into a sad drunk, her feelings become even heavier than usual and she can spiral really bad, she sometimes fears drinking due to experiencing this before

-tends to get sleepy and drowsy. She’ll always end up passing out by the end of a session

-on rare occasion, if there’s alcohol in the house she’ll drink a bit when she’s having problems insomnia problems

-also most likely gets extra cuddly and affectionate when she’s drunk or tipsy

Monika

-usually drinks the least out of the four of them

-has a medium sized tolerance

-the only reason she drinks the least amount is because of  the lack of control she has when she’s under the influence

-doesn’t mind being a little tipsy so much, will just be more relaxed at that point

-an existential drunk 

-starts questioning the meaning of life, her purpose, why things are the way they are and other deep questions, half of them end up not making sense

-can spiral too deep and either get depressed or turn into a conspiracy theorist

-either that or she’s a clingy affectionate drunk

-if there is anyone she cares about there, especially if it’s in a romantic way, she will cling to them the whole time and use every type of love language she can think of on them

-she also talks a lot, she talks about random stories or things she finds interesting or about her feelings, anything, she wants to shut up but she can’t stop

-and of course she’s more impulsive too and will go along with whatever idea someone comes up with

-she perceives her drunk self to be annoying and embarrassing which is why she now avoids it as much as she can

sayori was never really into music, until she started to date you! 

sure, she had listened to music before or went to karaoke with friends, but that was different

when she started dating you, she got to see how music was made, not just what it sounded like in the end

she's genuinely amazed by how easy you make it look to play an instrument! 

sayori tried her luck at it as well, only to give in after a few minutes, as she realized it took you years of practice to reach that level of skill

though she does ask you to teach her how to play an instrument and you certainly won't turn down that offer!

I personally believe that Sayori is immune to people doing things to annoy her whether purposefully or accidental, as long as it's not cruel of course. She actually thinks it can be quite funny when aimed at her too!

Sayori is someone who tends to stay cheerful at all times and she definitely has moments of air-headedness. Because of that, she has most definitely accidentally gotten on plenty of people's nerves before without realizing it so she can understand your situation.

While she wouldn't really do anything if someone called her annoying or anything similar, you'd best believe Sayori would come to your defense if that happened to you. She wouldn't necessarily snap back but she'd tell them that they're being rude and immediately try to drag you away. It's sweet, she's very sweet and she tries to comfort you after with small praises and sharing one of her comfort items with you.

" the hanging girl mutters harshly, hoarse and raspy, natsuki shakes her head in disbelief, gripping the fabric of her uniform's skirt tightly. 🎀‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ ‏‏ " n, no… that can't be… it hurts too much, it has to be real! you're lying! ddlc hcs: are they a morning or night person?

Monika

-she's naturally a night person but she tries to be morning person for the sake of her schedule

-due to school and other responsibilities she puts importance in being punctual therefore often making herself wake up early, it unfortunately doesn't come naturally to her however

-as she mentioned in the side stories, she often gets distracted doing things late at night. She truly enjoys staying up late into the night when she's finally done with her day and she's granted some time to relax and engage in the things she enjoys or explore new curiosities 

-She tries, she truly does try to go to bed early, she sets herself a specific time, get herself ready and everything but more often than not she can't help herself from indulging a little. 

-That little turns into a lot leaving her to set numerous alarms, chug coffee and shower blast herself in the morning

-this was the start of her coffee addiction by the way

-she adores those weekends or any mornings where she doesn't have a specific responsibility for the day, allowing her to finally stay up like a 2am gremlin and get a nice peaceful sleep in in the morning

-the days she gets to sleep in are very precious to her. If you wake her up early on a day when she doesn't need to you'll earn yourself a piercing death glare (green eyed stare hehe). Her passive aggressive grumpiness will last until she gets her sleep or an unhealthy amount of coffee. 

-again that theme of her responsibility is more something she's had to teach herself over time rather than something natural

Sayori

-don't have as many hcs for her cuz we already the answer to this but I still got some

-we know she struggles with getting up in the morning and such so obviously not a morning person 

-honestly, Sayori doesn't feel like she's a morning or night person but she stays up late into the night regardless

-usually not really by choice. she tries to go to bed but usually her mind is still awake and keeps her busy with heavy thoughts leaving her to not wanna wake up in morning

-she has at least some mild insomnia, her thoughts keep her up for hours and it's worse depending on how bad her mood is

-she often just accepts it and tries to distract herself with simple activities or videos on her phone and other random stuff

-If she has the energy she'll write a poem, some of her best stuff comes out at this time.

-y'know when you're a kid and you have that fear of being the last one to fall asleep? Well Sayori had that except she never grew out of it. Despite that she's still the often the last one to fall asleep.

-sometimes, especially on sleepovers, she gets a big burst of energy right before she crashes and passes out

-in the mornings she tries to get herself out of bed by thinking of things to look forward to that day

-loves sleeping when she can get it right

-sorry these r kinda depressing, anyway next character

Yuri

-okay hear me out, she's a morning person and a night person

-as you'd expect, Yuri stays up late reading or getting invested in another one of her interests

-as she mentioned in the side stories, she can get distracted with things at night, gets lost in it. 

-Sometimes she forgets that sleeping is a thing you're supposed to do and suddenly its 3am (devils hour lol anyone remember that?)

-she loves it though, she loves having that special time to herself where the world is quiet and dark, she feels like she can really be herself

-but as much as she loves that, she also feels just as refreshed waking up early

-she loves waking up early, before everyone else

-she gets a couple hours or so before her day starts just to wake up and get herself ready at her own pace 

-drink some tea, read, shower, that kinda stuff. It's like a calming ritual all to herself and it makes her feel more ready for the day.

-this often ends up in her not actually getting that much sleep, but she's used to it

-I can see Yuri being the kind of person who doesn't need that much sleep to function

-she can function perfectly fine on 2 hours of sleep without a drop of coffee or nothing

-she doesn't even get really tired that often she's a mad woman, she's just built different

Natsuki

-last but not least Natsuki, the only one I think wouldn't be a night person

-its not like she's an 8am freak or something, she thinks going to bed that early is loser behaviour

-but she prefers not to go to bed at like 1am or something, in a shining moment of responsiblity she usually tires to go to bed the earliest out of the four of them

-she prefers starting her day early and having sufficient time to chill and get herself and everything ready perfectly just the way she likes

-thought that's her preference, she doesn't always get the privilege of this

-at her house with her dad she gets anxious at night. She doesn't feel as comfortable in the same house as him

-she often waits until he falls asleep first before she's able to sleep and sometimes that can be much later than she likes

-and then she wakes up later than she wants. she doesn't sleep in so much that's she risks being late but it definitely doesn't give her enough time to relax

-so when she's sleeping somewhere else where she feels much safer she'll be the first to pass out and she can actually stick to her preferred routine

-she gets embarrassed about knocking out early but the others assure her it's fine

-sometimes when she's anxious about something her anxiety will wake her up (definitely not projecting no no no)

Quick extra Bonus (To push the Natsuri agenda real quick)

-I imagine if they all lived together, Natsuki & Yuri find out that they wake up around the same time, earlier than the other, so most mornings they get that time to themselves to chill and talk and be gay or whatever together :]

sayori isn't used to being the one people are affectionate towards

she's usually the one making the first move with the girls in the club, as they aren't big on public displays of affection

so sayori starts dating you and suddenly you're making the first move, she's a bit startled

at first, she isn't sure how to feel about it, as she was so used to being the affectionate one

though sayori quickly realizes she should be happy that you're as affectionate as her, if not more! 

but having her partner be affectionate with her in public is quite different than when it's with her friends

sayori often blushes and gets flustered when the two of you hold hands in school and when you try to go in for a kiss, she blushes and slips away

it'll take her a while to get used to it, not just because it's new and overwhelming, but also because sayori doesn't want to show off her partner

she's happy to cuddle with you in private, even if it'll fluster her, but she's a bit anxious about people knowing she's dating you, worrying they'll judge her

Natsuri hc’s?

this is going to be long so bear with me

natsuki fell first, yuri fell harder

natsuki realising she likes yuri : "ohhhhhh fuuuuck"

yuri realising she likes natsuki : "oh... oh."

their pining phase was actually catastrophic for everyone involved ( natsuki's whole tsundere "i say the opposite thing of what i actually mean" mixed with yuri's inability to understand social cues? chaos.)

sayori definitely tried to play cupid with those two (and failed miserably)

i actually have no idea how those two would end up confessing, natsuki probably slipped up somehow and run away before yuri could answer (enter a 2-day long miscommunication arc (dont worry they stop being idiots thanks to monika and sayori) )

anyway after that i think they would be a really functional sane couple lmao

they decide to swap reading material for a week at some point, but natsuki cant get through the dense text in yuri's book (dyslexic queen) so yuri ends up reading it to her out loud

yuri was really shy at the start of their relationship but slowly becomes more confident while natsuki slowly becomes more and more mushy

first kiss was initiated by yuri (she missed and ended up kissing natsuki's cheek)

yuri's love language is small acts of service that show she listens and natsuki's is gift giving, they both have trouble with words of affection but they eventually get more comfortable with it

Hehe I love DDLC 💕

Anyway, I made some redesigns for the DDLC chracters. I get the point of why they look more basic - but like- give them some character, some life. Some- snazziness. Anyway art and little headcannon things included. Also yes, my HC's don't follow cannon- But... I like to give some extra story dazzle too ✨️ (Loved DDLC tho, 2nd favorite game)

Sayori Headcannons-

-Ends up with the Protagonist in the end (I'm going to give him a good chracter too. Not the basic ass Protagonist no one likes.)

-does NOT go yandere like Monika. Just genuinely wants a healthy, happy relationship. Monika did allow her to remember what happened, and Sayori does NOT want that to repeat!

-Is straight, very supportive of LGBT. Cis Female (She/her)

-Joined the club mainly to make friends. Sayori didn't hangout a lot, and Monika had invited her, so she joined. She ended up getting into some books. Sayori then invites him Later.

-Tried to hang out with a lot of people, wanting to be popular. Some days she felt lonely, and often wanted to be around people to avoid her thoughts.

-Helps Natsuki with cooking (Aka Natsuki comes to her place and they cook)

-Was first friends with Monika (other than the protagonist)

-Listens mostly to Hyperpop and typical 2000's pop music. Will occasionally pop out with the heaviest metal known to man.

-Is a severe people pleaser, and has bad anxiety/depression. Hides it well.

Yuri Headcannons-

-Ends up dating Natsuki. This is after Monika is erased, and Natsuki makes up their bond, and they end up together. Yuri is a lot more open/less socially awkward around her.

-Simply Queer. Dates for love, not gender. Cis Female (She/Her)

-Joined the club due to a very strong passion for reading and writing. Natsuki and her used to switch each meet with reading their books, and Yuri very much enjoyed parfait girls (and OFC Portrait of Markov)

-Wants to be a writer when she grows up. Mainly into phychological horror and poem writing.

-Natsuki and Yuri (before the literature club) used to write small poems for each other. They also used to be best friends, but had a falling out due to an argument, and then the events of DDLC. (Monika manipulating them)

-Wears a matching heart pin with Natsuki. Kept it even after their falling out, since Yuri often holds onto old memories.

-Has bad depression and social anxiety, but usually tries to hide it. Tries to hide in the past where times were better.

-listens to emo, goth and metal music.

-Dresses in Gothic fashion.

Natsuki Headcannons-

-Ends up with Yuri. Natsuki had always liked Yuri since their first meet, but during events of cannon DDLC, Natsuki tried to hide her feelings and tried to get with the Protagonist to ignore her feelings for Yuri.

-Sapphic/queer. Doesn't really put a label, but likes women. Trans female (She/Her). Is also Ace.

-Joined Literature club because she had a passion for writing, and because Yuri was going.

-Used to be an extremely popular student, but cut herself off when she was introduced to the toxic side of big groups. She wanted only a trust worthy friend who made her ignore her home life.

-Lives with abusive father, but often found ways to avoid going home. (Went to Sayori's a lot, hung-out with other club members, and sometimes stayed overnight at Yuri's)

-Even after Monika got erased, she still had some memory of the cannon events. This led to her making it up with Yuri and cherishing when she had a bit more. Aka she toned down her tsundereness.

-Has an extreme fear of venting to people/telling people anything about her. She often reads her Manga to escape reality and put herself in a happier world. Also part of the reason she dresses so cutsey, to put herself in a world of happiness.

-Has an extreme interest in dark themes too. She loves phychological horror, and wants to take a route in psychology.

-Was never that close to Monika. It was mainly Sayori and Yuri. Natsuki didn't trust Monika, and with her bad experience with popular kids it was awkward talking to her.

-Is a perfectionist

-A year before High-school she stole a lot. Because of her home life and the lack of money, she resorted to stealing a lot.

Monika headcannons-

-Doesn't end up with anyone, as she was deleted. She does learn to "accept" though.

-Queer, same with Yuri, love is love. Cis Female (She/Her). She is ace.

-Never wanted to be popular. She was a transfer student and had unique looks and extreme intelligence so she became popular quick. (Her intelligence in science is how she figured out she was in a game)

-Grew up extremely lonely. She was a loner, and was often hidden in school. It's what she enjoyed, except a few friends. That's why she made the literature club, knowing not a lot would join.

-Has a passion for writing. Wrote a romance novel, and planned to write more. Her second choice was a professional piano teacher, having a passion for music and how it helps her escape and create melodies to ease her mood.

-Was not very loved as a child. Parents never paid attention to her, and she never dated. Not even a friend. When the Protagonist showed a new kind of kindness, she became obsessed with the love and kindness that wasn't because of her popularity in any way.

-Genuinely regretted what she did to Sayori, but continued as she already made too many moves. Monika missed the person who talked to her first in the club, and one of the only other person who showed her kindness that wasn't because of popularity.

-Almost did what she does in the game for Sayori (considering the act of kindness) but they had a small separation before it could get that far, and Sayori hung out with more and more popular people- drawing Monika away slightly.

-To Monika, MC and Sayori were her first two ever honest friends

-Was a perfectionist and love obsessed/Yandere due to PTSD

Dokis’ Love Languages

When I was thinking of the dokis’ love languages, I did a bit of research and realized that the 5 most popular love languages are all just perfect for what I hc the dokis, so:

Monika: Words of Affirmation. Not only is she the one who has the most ridiculous and over the top pet names for everyone, she deeply craves praise from her lovers and when she receives it she melts.

Sayori: Physical Touch. She is super buggy and loves just being in contact with her partners, it gives her a huge sense of comfort and love.

Natsuki: Receiving Gifts. Although she is pretty bad at receiving gifts, she really appreciates it as she kinda grew up not getting a lot of things, so every thing she gets or gives means the world to her.

Yuri: Quality Times. Just doing stuff with all the others makes her feel loved and comforted and she just likes hanging out with those she loves in general.

MC: Acts of Service. Time and time again he tries to help or support others and just tries to be kind and understanding for the rest of them, even if he’s kinda dumb. It also just warms his heart and makes him kinda emotional whenever someone does something kind for him.

Cat Doki! (Pt. 1?)

(Monika Sayori and Yuri!)

I'm gonna make two color designs for all of them! The more realistic colors are gonna be for the Warrior cats au, which isn't that thought out too cuz it was just a fun idea I had, so for those interested, don't expect much ^_^"

Anywho, I present Cat Natsuki! She's a Pixie bob × Singapura cross, so she's smoll but stronk! Her Warrior name is Berryhope! I did my best to make it as close as possible to the etymology of her name, but many weren't sounding too smooth, so I just kept a half of it and chose another warrior name that fits her character! ^_^

She's a herb gatherer/general helper of the healer/s from ShadowClan. Outside the clan, she gets looks, whispers, and teases for her small stature. Has Shadowclan's territory been declining that badly? Aren't they treating their new kits well? But the other cats and apprentices look rather healthy–as Shadowclan cats can go–so is it only her?

She definitely gets tired explaining that it's genetics making her small, and some clan mates would go on to say she's stronger than she appears, being able to carry so many herbs on herself no matter where she got them.

BerryHope had a long interest in mixing herbs, especially when mixed with fresh kill, but not enough that she wanted to be a Healer for the clan as she's seen how stressful and just draining it can be, and she thinks being a Healers helper and gatherer is just as great. A lot of times she'd experiment with mixing herbs and fresh kill, but not really for their healing properties, but taste. It intrigued and confused a lot of cats, but in the end all were amazed at the taste of her crafts. It's the thing she's most proud of!

But to stick to the canon ddlc lore, her father won't be too great her either. He doesn't lay claw on her as he would in canon act 2 (cuz I think that lore is only on act 2, like Monika changed it? Correct me pls–) Her small stature greatly unsatisfied him, believing she's a runt and won't even survive one Leafbare. Her mother was a rouge and was a former Singapura Kittypet before she joined the clan and they met. BerryHope's father just wished none of their sires got her size and just his build and her beautiful pelt, so he looked down at BerryKit and pretty much just doesn't really pay her that mind.
