I think they would love watching stupid movies (romcoms or unnecessarily sentimental and cheesy) together not bc they like them but so that they could make fun of the lines/scenes together like best friends do (bc ofc they are best friends first, lovers later). leo mimicking them in his stupid way, and piper giggling and rofling about like a buffalo the way she can't before others. they are the kinda couple who would enjoy everything they watch together.

but their ultimate fav, repeat to 10000x movie list till they have memorized every line is HTTYD, cuz yeah, leo-hiccup, toothless-festus, and ig piper is a lot like astrid? AND DRAgons!!! so yeah their go-to, top-of-head movie when they are lazy to try something new

(the only thing they never watch is tristan mclean movies lmao)

14. Who falls asleep during a movie?

Neither, but on hectic days when they are super tired, both of them catch the sleep bug and fall asleep.

if Leo is first to wake up to find the movie is over, he'd pick up piper and carry her to their bed, taking care she doesn't wake up (watching her sleep is secretly his fav thing, yk cuz of piper's cute way of sleeping: "inhaling through the nose, exhaling with a little puff through the mouth" and "her hair looked like it had become a nest for a friendly hamster")

on the other hand, if piper is first to wake, she'd prob simply arrange some pillows for their necks and go back to sleep, snuggling into him bc no chance she is getting cold lol

ggfhjk i love this question specifically for this ship cuz Piper is 100% the little spoon!

iirc (forgive me my knowledge of HoO is getting rusty! seriously, it's time for a full reread T_T) both piper and leo are the same height, right? maybe as adults, leo gets a late growth spurt of a couple of inches over her (which is annoying cuz leo is finally taller but secretly she likes it, cuz perfect for a side snuggle)

even otherwise, piper is always, subconsciously snuggling into his side cuz he is so hot warm. even if he hasn't used his fire, there is always some residual warmth in him all the time, which she has got used to searching out for. say, if leo gets up in the middle of the night to drink some water/got a brand new design idea in his head he just has to jot down NOW,,, by the time he returns to bed, piper is completely rolled up in his side of the bed, searching for him in her sleep (he loves this habit of hers! it also probs makes him feel better about his fire too)

iirc, his mom's warehouse caught fire in the middle of winter, right?? ig he'd slowly come to like winters better, bc of piper snuggling more into him during winters agfhjk

and iirc, he likes to sleep with a hug pillow, right? his old hug pillow has been replaced by piper!

39. Do they get along with the other's family? If not, how do they deal with the other's family?

on leo's side, hephaestus will be very suspicious of the daughter of aphrodite (cuz of his own experience with her) but talking to piper, he will be slightly mollified abt her… yet, his advice for Leo always will be to trust his machines more than the human specimen of his girlfriend (ofc leo won't take it seriously)

//toa spoilers/// now josephine and hemithea are his foster mothers i am sure piper would get along with them super well as well <3

on piper's side, leo has already met Tristan in Lost Hero and knows him as piper's friend, so he'd be pretty much chill with what pipes does and who she dates,, he might try to give Leo The Talk as his duty as her father, but Piper would kick her dad out before that ever happens (Leo just being the awkward bean like during the whole helicopter ride in TLH lol)

oth, leo would be mildly (understated) scared of Aphrodite. if they ever meet her (by chance) he'd keep fidgeting and tapping 'i love you' on his jeans till piper clasps his hand and taps back 'it's okay' but i think aphrodite won't be as scary as leo imagines in his head; she'd probs find him amusing and intrigued that her daughter actually prefers leo over jason.

40. Who is the skilled shopper for holidays? Who always waits 'til the last minute to get all of their gifts? (Which one gets stressed out easily)?

piper! she won't--but she would use her charmspeak to bargain for the best prices in those overly expensive, money grabbing malls, something that leo always finds terrifyingly awesome lmao,, piper gets excited for holiday shopping and stuff whereas leo tags along obediently (and use his magic toolbelt to stove away the shopping bags lol)

leo always forgets all of the important days because of his adhd (extreme even by demigod standards) and piper, having known him for long, understands this and never gets mad or anything but he'd always feel guilty about this and makes up for it in a completely random surprise gift he handdesigns for her. Of course, piper loves his stupid (affectionately) and most times, completely non-functional (cuz Leo himself doesn't know what they do loool but they are always weirdly complicated) gifts so much! like say a music box that goes moo! but bake out fresh cookies lmao

Fame Dr: like what sort of things do you do, like acting/training for roles (like stunt training and stuff), photo shoots, premieres? How do you deal with the paparazzi? Do you ever get overwhelmed? I’m afraid I’ll find it super scary and not fun, I know I could script that stuff out but idk if I should

when it comes to training for roles, it just depends on the movie! here's my roles and what i did to prepare:

tv shows:

The Witcher S3: i did some sword training, and learned to ride a horse again (i used to be a horseback rider but havent ridden in years so it was nice to brush up on it!). i had a dialect coach as well as i needed a british accent lmao

The Orville New Horizons: no real training required, just read a few books that Seth recommended to me so i could understand what i was saying and met with Neil Degrasse Tyson with Seth as well and he answered any questions i had

Criminal Minds: nothing really, although i did take a refresher psych course, and met with a forensic psychologist and a profiler to interview them and get a taste for the work they had to do on a daily basis

Murdoch Mysteries: nothing! just team bonding really, which i did with all of them!

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier: not my first marvel project but i sustained an injury during The Witcher shoot so i had to rebuild by core muscles a little. i also read the comics about my character.

Movies:

We're The Millers: no prep i literally showed up and did what my mom told me to do lmao

Knives Out 2: team bonding which was scary and i had just come off of The Witcher shoot (literally less than 18 hours after wrapping) and was exhausted but we all went out and partied. other than that, i met with Rian and rewatched the first one

Batman v Superman: oh dear lord. i put myself through literal hell for this role but i dont regret it. i was eating as healthy as i could and working out every day, plus fight training, and taking extra ballet classes to make sure my body was in the best shape it could be (shit was rough) so i could do my own stunts. met with Zack Snyder and read all the comics Kara is in. I only met with Henry once as despite being in the same film, we were only in 2 scenes together, and one of them i didn't talk so we barely connected (he literally forgot that we were in the same movie and thought they'd recasted the original actor for Justice League the big dummy)

Mama Mia Here We Go Again: i took some refresher vocal lessons since i've only ever sang praise songs in church.

Mockinbird: my first marvel project and it literally knocked me on my ass. i thought the training for Batman v Superman was rough, it was nothing compared to this and the sheer amount of time and choreography that goes into a single fight scene oh my gosh. when i wasnt training, i was reading every single marvel comic that had my characters parents in it, and was meeting with illustrators and writers because my character wasn't in the comics, but was actually an original character that took over the internet bc of a fanfiction in 2012, and they decided to add her in lol so that meant making new comics that fit into the mcu timeline and giving my character a back story before the movies. i also met with so many marvel executives, was constantly doing interviews and meeting new people and trying to adjust to script changes practically hourly. i literally couldnt move or speak when i got a break from filming. i loved every second of it though!

Spiderman No Way Home: had just finished filming Man of Steel 2 so no training needed physically, but rewatched my past marvel projects and reread some comics that Kevin told me to to remind myself of the character

Enola Holmes 2: read the Enola Holmes book series and a few Sherlock books. i also watched Sherlock Holmes (the one w rachel mcadams as she played my character before i did) but thats about it. Henry actually remembered who i was and recommended me for the role

Secrets of Dumbledore: wand training! i took a beginners latin course to help with pronunciation at the request of JKR

Multiverse of Madness: no retraining, finished filming NWH and went into preproduction for MoM immediately

Drawing With Light: re read the book, met with the author, and met with my dialect coach again

They Both Die At The End: met with the author and reread the book!

and ngl, i despise photo shoots. i hate them with a passion, but i power through because i know they're important, but other than for promo, i don't do photo shoots which can sound weird considering im working on a makeup line with Sephora but i chose to have my siblings model it instead (with their consent of course).

and premieres can be fun if you make them fun! the red carpet usually lasts for an hour or two before the movie actually starts, and (at least for me) i only ever do between 3 and 5 interviews on the carpet because anything else overwhelms me and i'll shut down. i spend the rest of the time talking to fans and taking photos, and i'll go into the theatre early to give myself a noise and speaking break before the movie starts, and then the movie starts, and its so much different from a regular movie screening. everyone stays until the end credits, every one claps for everyone, and not a single person gets up during the movie (u didn't hear this from me but my mom wears depends for premieres just in case). the director and executives and producers usually talk to the audience and thank them and things, and sometimes it happens before and sometimes i happens after. just depends on the timing and the studio really!

i fucking hate paparazzi. i don't hate the people bc i know they're just doing their job, but i find it a tad ridiculous they have to approach me while shopping for pads and ask me how i feel about Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian dating WHEN WE HAVENT BEEN TOGETHER FOR 3 FUCKIN YEARS. they can take photos of me all they want, i dont care. they can literally blast "ava aniston shops for period products at 3 am in dri fit shorts, puma socks, birkenstocks that are falling apart and a red henley that looks like it belongs to chris evans" all they want but to ask me about an ex's new relationship pisses me off and crosses a line. and dont get me started on the way they were when my grandma passed away because how dare i go get a coffee when i should be at home comforting my grieving mother 🙄

and i absolutely get overwhelmed. my dad has gone viral a few times because he doesnt hesitate to yell at the paparazzi when they cross a line or when he can tell i'm overstimulated. i'm very thankful that i have someone like my chrissy boy who can tell when i've had enough and am going to meltdown/shutdown and removes me from the situation (literally called his mom to come and get me in front of them because they all know not to mess w mama lisa and her babies)!

you can always script these things out, but i didnt, because it gives me a better appreciation for celebrities and the things they go through, and i personally think its a part of the experience. and messing with the press is kind of fun (in the middle of gaslighting them into thinking chris and i are married and we're having tons of fun with it) so just remember that its your dr and you can change whatever you want within reason!!

Lol, okay, so. Did it take me a long time (I could make a dad joke and say it "Took me a year to practically realize") to notice that rambling I sent about Care did not go through? Yes, indeed. In fact, I only thought about it because you reblogged someone's reblog of the fic! Anyway, I didn't find it fair that I'd be half-assing a rambling review. I whole-ass anything I do. So, I re-read the fic because why not. I would like to apologize, though.

I genuinely adore Grays, and Care is such a worthy sequel/continuation of this world you created. For me, it was oozing (sorry if you hate that word) nostalgia with every snow description. It made me remember happier times in the snow when I was 7 and younger and could toddle around the backyard with my twin. We'd make snow angels and try to make snowballs (we sucked at it, lol), and our dog would watch us carefully bc our parents had to dig out their cars on the street. (No garage or driveway, lol. And I say 7 and younger, because once that winter after I turned 7 came along, I ended up helping them, and never got to play in the snow since.)

I remember the drenched gloves and puddles we'd leave by the door with our very flushed hands gripping our little bowls of soup because my mom didn't want us to get sick. Truly, that is the core memory that came out when I read this story. If anything, this proves that the story is worthy of its title. (And honestly, I've never met a story so worthy of its title.) Everything about this story is warm, like that fresh burst of heat you feel after you come in from the cold.

The first moments when the Reader comes home is what I see as the overall tone of the story, in how it illustrates the comfort and care given to Joel. (Lord knows the man deserves it!) Honestly, I felt warm while re-reading this fic, and that was a little nuts imo because I was in my room, with the very crappy heater that doesn't like to work all the time. (And of course, while I was reading it decided not to work.)

Anyway, here are two moments that were just lovely, and that became my favorites.

He catches at your wrist before you can turn away, thumb rubbing slowly over the inside of your wrist. “You really don’t gotta do anything for me.” 

“I know it, Joel. I want to.”

Now, I know I said I had read this before and everything, but I figured I'd add this fun fact: this moment was also my favorite during my first read-through. (I know this because I always take screenshots of my favorite moments in fics, so I can directly quote them later.) I knew it would stay as my steady favorite during my second go through. I adore the idea of the "You don't have to." "But I want to.", trope. I love that idea, and I always will. I think that's one of your best tropes that you've written.

I do have to say that I'm confused about the Sprite mention, lol. Maybe that's because I live in the North. (Tbf I was always given cranberry juice or orange juice. But when I was real little, I was given warm milk with honey in it because my throat would get really bad whenever I was sick.) ANYWAY. I love the details, especially about what the Reader would have done and what they're doing to take care of Joel now.

SPEAKING OF DETAILS, this is my second favorite bit:

This winter he’s come to realize that taking care of people is important to you too. You do it in a different way than he does. Feeding folks mostly but it’s also—wrapping a scarf around his neck, mending Ellie’s jacket with needle and thread, making sure he and Ellie have eaten and rested, cooking things from your memories of home for him and his and no one else, sharing that very secret part of home and of yourself—so he’d better learn how to get on with it or risk running you off.

I love how Joel sees that they both care for people and that he knows the Reader's care is different from his. I love the examples, too. Again, each word feels warm with comfort. (I don't know how you do it!) It just holds me like a caregiver does with a baby. It makes me feel fuzzy and relaxed.

(Another side note, but lmfaoooo did I laugh when Joel paused and went "What?", after the Reader said they want him to drink something gross. What a mood, oh my gosh. I feel like we've all had that moment, except we know what we're getting because the antibiotics/cough medicine/Whatever other medicine tastes disgusting.)

Overall, you literally made me feel as though I was warm and safe with this fic. I've never felt this way about a fic before, so honestly?? Congrats, here's a trophy (this is not sarcasm, btw. Everything I say is always what it is, I promise):

That's crazy! I though Sprite when sick was a universal thing (at least in the States lol) Everyone I know got Sprite and saltine crackers, because its supposed to settle your stomach if you were nauseous and couldn't hold anything else down. I also got honey and milk as a kid, but that was for sore throats.

1. I really like the name Alizeh! I think it’s of Persian origin and it means “wind”. But me and my sister are literally fighting rn over who gets to name their kid this name if it’s a girl! She might win tho bc I have no prospects in sight for dating, let alone starting a family hehe 😅

2. Hand holding! I hold everyone’s hands (not in a weird way). I’ll just go up to my co-residents and be like “give me your hand”, and then I’ll hold their hand for a minute and warm it up and they think it’s so cute 🥺

3. If I get one hand wet, I can’t dry it off, I need to wet the other hand and dry them both. I dislike the feeling of having only hand be damp 😑

4. Winter!!! I feel like my style is at its best during the winter bc I can add lots of layers and elements whereas in the summer I stick to workout clothes and t shirts bc the heat is no joke! Also winter is just fun with all the holiday activities and snow! I’m totally a cold weather person ❄️

5. I don’t really think I have a favorite group besides bts! I do listen to a lot of different k-artists though! Some of my favorites right now are Bibi and NewJeans!

6. For books, I recently read All My Rage by Sabaa Tahir and it made me full on sob with how heartbreaking it was 😭 for movies, I watched 20th Century Girl and cried at that one too bc I just couldn’t take the ending 💜 I’m in a heartbreak mood these days lol

Because I started and finished this show during my winter break in 4 days and was/am obsessed with it, here are some of my favorites, my dating headcanons for them, and what I think their love languages would be :))))

Tamaki:

-when he knows you’re completely asleep in his arms, like you’re snoring or breathing very deeply, he sings to you softly

-I just have this feeling he has an incredible voice🥲

-this man is a words of affirmation fiend, dude

-in the best way possible!!!!

-please talk to him so he feels worth your time

-will try his hardest to keep eye contact with you, but only when no one else is around

-it’s because 1) he thinks you’re absolutely gorgeous

-rightfully so

-and 2) he thinks it’s important that you know he’s giving you all of his attention

-I think he gives love through quality time and maybe(🥰!!!!!!🥰) (when you’re alone of course) physical touch

-probably like 4-6 months into the relationship

Jennifer do kids care about details? Let me ‘plain: In the chronicles of Narnia one character loved Turkish Delights. I had no idea what the hell that was and still don’t. In HP there are foods I didn’t know but they didn’t make me stop reading, I was there for the story. If I use food from my culture do I need to explain it? I feel like I can trust my audience to look things up if they care. But there also seems to be a double standard here.

The thing about Turkish Delight, or Butter Beer, or whatever, is that the authors DO explain it.

They don't explain the RECIPE or whatever - but CS Lewis DOES tell us that Turkish Delight is, to this character, the best and most delicious food he can even imagine, something so good he's willing to sell out his family for it. And CS Lewis assumes that you'll either know what it is (in which case you would definitely side-eye Edmund, bc WTF, but then you remember this was during a war and the poor thing was probably just desperate for ANY sugar lol) -- or you won't know what it is, but you'll just imagine the best tasting fancy sweet you can think of. When I was a kid, I thought it would be like Almond Roca or Ferraro Rocher -- imagine my disappointment when I tasted the real thing, which is basically... a soft flower or pistachio flavored gummy with powdered sugar on. It's fine! But it's no Almond Roca. ;-)

We may not know precisely what is IN Butter Beer, but we know from the way it is described that it must be a very nice beverage that is warming on a winter's day, that it tastes something like butterscotch and that it has a slight alcoholic content. Obviously (well, until the theme parks opened up), none of us had TASTED this, but we can all imagine what sort of a drink that would be and how it would feel to drink it. (And, like Turkish delight -- IMO, Butter Beer is better in my imagination!) -- Just like we don't know exactly what Chocolate Frogs or Fizzing Whizbees or whatever taste like, because, you know, they are fictional - but we know the idea, that they are candy, they are fun, they are delicious, kids love them, etc.

So -- IMO, if you are using food from your culture, it's the same deal. You don't need to say every ingredient or whatever, unless you are writing a recipe book -- but it IS likely that you'd at least mention how the taste/smell/whatever makes the character feel, because what's the point of adding an awesome sensory detail like FOOD that we can all relate to if you aren't going to even explore that for an instant? If I know what the food is, I'll be like "YUM" -- if I don't, I'll still get the *vibe*.

For example: Your character is making ramen. Are they making ramen because they are a broke student, and literally a 30 cent packet of ramen is all they can afford and can make in their dorm room, and they are huddled on their twin bed sipping it out of a cup while watching Seinfeld reruns on a TV that only gets one channel? OR, are they a guy nursing his girlfriend's hangover by delicately poaching an egg and chopping scallions and grating ginger or whatever, making a deluxe upgrade to the 30 cent ramen that infuses the whole loft apartment with the scent of ginger and wakes her up, so she can stumble into the kitchen and smile at him? OR are they a person whose mom was always terribly busy running a restaurant that specialized in a 24-hour simmered tonkotsu broth, so even though they have been away from home for years, the scent of broth brings them instantly back to their childhood, a mixture of comforting and sad? All three of those scenarios are technically about RAMEN -- but all three have a different *vibe* -- and even if I don't know what exactly ramen or tonkotsu broth or whatever is, I get the picture.

The deadline is tomorrow at 12 and no one except me has posted theirs yet........ so i have anxiety again 🥰 cause idk if i‘m the only one who did it or if i even did it correctly

bokukuroakatsukki/ third gym musician au!

part 1 of ??

ok i was bored waiting in line at the bank so i drafted this. im not a musician and have little to none basic musical knowledge but hear me out

 • pianist tsukki, cellist bokuto, violinist kuroo, conductor akaashi

 • tsukki and akaashi are proper orchestral musicians, you know, the whole black suit and bow tie kinda stuff, play at concert halls

 • whereas kuroo and bokuto are aspiring rockstars who use classical music instruments for rock rendition of classical music and modern rock music using classical instruments

 • imagine: vivaldi winter but rock version

 • bokuroo play anywhere they can! outside a subway station, in the middle of touristy street, at a park, a club where indie band usually perform

 • they even have their own youtube channel! mostly its them messing around during practice and other times its amateur recordings of their performance on the street. they only got like, 100 views and 7 likes, but hey, they just want to spread the love for classical instruments, ya know? it's fun!

 •  also before y'all start going up my arse on how hinata and lev are a part of third gym too: lev is a drummer and hinata is an electric guitarist. they cameo in bokuroo videos sometimes and gawdddd their practice videos are so chaotic its entertaining

 • extra hc you didn't ask for but imma give anyway: kuroo's best friend kenma is dating hinata bc ya know how the guitarist always get the best girl/guy? yup

 • also: you know that phantom of the opera rock rendition in The Umbrella Academy season 1? they watched it once on their usual Neflix Fridays and bokuto was like "my dUDES wE ARe PlaYING THIS!"

 • best believe they nailed it and have it uploaded on youtube

 • it got like 570 hits and 19 likes but who cares! music is fun!!!

 • kuroo is the kind of person who can play by ear (hear it once and can immitate it) whereas bokuto is a fast learner and can catch up with kuroo easily

 • anyways. tsukki and akaashi. tsukki is a struggling child genius who is having a hard time to accept the fact that as he grows older, he's not as special as he was lead to believe. you know. the curse of being a gifted child. he's a very talented pianist, no doubt, but he used to being laid back on this whole practice thing and now younger people are catching up with him and it is bothering him

 • so tsukki started to let go and let himself fall off the bandwagon

 • akaashi is the new conductor for the orchestra and he is a talented musician too

 • akaashi can play violin, piano, cello, thrombone and flute

 • he is a nervous bean who is always worried he can't live up to the expectation, being a conductor at such a young age

 • he too, have forgotten about the joy of music because he's stressed all the time

 • tsukki and akaashi's talent were discovered around the same time when they were like, 10, 11?? so they literally grew up together

 • young akaashi was first chair violinist when he first started out but he has always been interested to conduct

 •  because of their close age gap, whenever they travel around for performances they always share the same room

 • young tsukki is the type who can't sleep well in a new environment and it always affect his performance during opening day

 • even though he tries to act tough like he have it under control, akaashi can see right through him

 • so after 2 or 3 bad opening performances akaashi suggested to tsukki they should sleep in the same bed bc akaashi's mom always did it whenever he had difficulty falling asleep. obviously tsukki protested at first, but it's not easy saying no to akaashi

 • young akaashi bows to tsukki "sorry for the intrusion" before gracefully lifting the heavy duvet and sneaking under it

 • it got awkward at first. they can feel each other's shoulder touching and warmth radiating from each other's body. between the two of them, akaashi eventually fell asleep first while fiddling with his fingers. his head shifted to lean on tsukki's shoulder in his sleep bc well you tend to gravitate towards warm things in your sleep

 • cue little tsukki's first gay panic

 • but damn it akaashi's hair smells so nice and tsukki soon drifted asleep too. the first good sleep during his entire travel and he owes it to akaashi

 • so they did it. they slept in the same bed together. and it continues on for the next 10 years, well into adulthood

 • platonically, mind you. nothing sexual.

 • tsukki loves waking up to akaashi all wrapped up around his midsection, smelling and playing with his soft hair

 • and akaashi loves watching tsukki when he's asleep bc he looks so innocent when he doesn't spout salty shit (to other people not to akaashi)

 • anyway, the theme is: mutual pining

 • whereas bokuto and kuroo are more like bros 4 lyfe who do stupid shit together like watch porn and jack each other off every now and then

 • but no homo, bro

 • they met when they were 18 at college and rented a small apartment together and bc they wanted a home studio, they turned the master bedroom into one and ended up sharing a small bedroom together

 • so waking up to morning woods is a pretty normal occasion

 • bokuto's "bro im so horny right now" and kuroo's "want me to blow you?" is also a normal occurance

 • neither can get a long term girlfriend bc they are broke musicians who always chase after the next new music to try. so they resort to each other when they needed a quick fix

 • anyway, so they're some broke ass musicians/college students trying to make a living in metropolitan tokyo playing gigs everywhere

 • and on a fateful cold autumn evening, the four of them crossed path.

most adventurous thing you’ve ever done in your life? okay so technically this wasn’t me who did it but i was part of the adventure. when me and my boyfriend were just “friends” ie. liked each other and knew we liked each other but were too scared to admit it. anyway, we had this elaborate plan to shave our youth group leader’s head if we were able to bring in a certain amount of food for the food drive during vbs week. so yeah we spent like three days planning the whole thing out and then decided to go price shopping at walmart with all of our younger siblings bc we needed supervision or something lol to see how many individual things of food we could buy with $20 each we ended up just getting like 20 huge boxes of ramen and then his sister ended up throwing up so we took her home and then went back to church where my car was parked but instead of turning to get to church my boyfriend decides to go straight through the stop light (it was green okay) and spontaneously drive up into the foothills. well we get to the top of the foothills and we’re at the lake and we all get out to look at the city and my boyfriend claims that we need to document this moment so he takes a selfie with all of us and we somehow ended up right next to each other in it and i only found this out like three months ago (this happened back in june) that he only took the picture because he wanted one of us together in case we didn’t start dating lol so sweet and yeah, that was a very long story but i needed context instead of just saying “yeah we drove up a mountain”

shazam: spoiler review

now’s where the real fun begins. i made notes during the film of things i liked/want to talk about in this review. mostly to be safe bc i wasn’t sure what i’d remember coming out of the film.

i don’t think i need to but MAJOR SPOILER WARNING 

stay away if you have not seen the film yet and don’t want spoilers. ‘cause i’m gonna go there. 

still here? alright, let’s do this.

billy’s first line in the movie is “holy moly” and i legit squealed. that’s what i referenced in the other review when i said he’s like a mix of the different versions of the character. ‘cause i know he really never said that in the new 52 run but they included it in the movie and it’s so cute!!!!! honestly, i expected this billy to say “holy shit” or something but he really doesn’t. i don’t think asher even got to swear at all in the film, besides “what the hell” when he visits the wizard. maybe disney forbid him or something, lol. (also, i tried keeping count of how many times billy said “holy moly” and unless i missed one or lost count, i got 3. twice from asher, once from zac - and i believe that one was in the bus scene and it has him looking up at the bus and the whole shot reminded me a lot of a panel from that superman/shazam: first thunder comic that i’ve posted about before.)

SPEAKING OF SUPERMAN, i should probably wait to talk about the end, but... there’s no henry cameo. superman does make an appearance at the end, as previously reported from test screenings - i won’t give away the context but there’s a scene that kind of foreshadows it earlier on in the film - but you never see his face. it’s shot from the chest down, enough that you recognize the dceu costume but you don’t see whether or not it’s actually henry. chances are it wasn’t, and i was kinda bummed that it wasn’t him. i hadn’t lost hope going in that he could still appear, so i feel let down that it really didn’t happen. maybe he showed up in a deleted scene???? ah, who knows? i do wanna know what, exactly, happened there, but we might never get that information.

okay, back to my list of notes..

this is random and not something i’ll discuss too much but one of the women billy goes to when trying to find his mom (like all women in the philly area with the “batson” last name) is named rachel so i’m officially his mother now.

i have a few jokes written in my notes but i think i’ll save those for when the film’s officially out, ‘cause probably other people will mention them too, and for anyone who is actually reading this before seeing the film, i don’t want them to be un-funny for you when you actually watch the movie

oh, i think i could tell what were reshoots and what weren’t???? not necessarily based on bad effects or whatever, like the awful green screen in justice league, but i noticed in videos and whatnot between when they filmed in february to when they went back for reshoots in november that asher had grown a few inches and his voice started to drop, and there’s a scene or two at school where i really noticed it. well, i don’t know about the height thing bc i’m not totally sure what the height difference was, if any, between jack and asher back when they started shooting the film, but it’s not hard to tell that asher’s voice is deeper in some scenes and not others. i mean, his voice is even deeper now on the shazam press tour, and obviously it’s not like they could really do anything about it bc using tech to somehow alter his voice would have sounded weird, but it’s still something i noticed. juuuuust saying.

the seven deadly sins appear quite a bit throughout the film and boy are they creepy. i thought their designs would be closer to how they appear in the new 52 comic, but they really surprised me. i also kinda thought the cgi was a little weak, at times, for them??? at least at that winter fair thing, but maybe that’s because there was, like, interaction between them and the foster kids. putting these computer constructs against live people probably made them look a little more fake. but they were still pretty creepy! again, don’t take your very little ones to see this film. they’ll probably be scared.

looking at my notes again, i should probably make a separate post about the billy/freddy stuff. bc i wrote several things down and i don’t wanna waste space here talking about it. i might do the same thing for the other pop culture/dc references in the movie bc there were a lot.

ohhhh the shazamily shows up and it’s GREAT. i saw it coming, obviously, bc of the new 52 comic, but i LOVED IT. adam brody as freddy???? PERFECT. meagan good as darla????? ADORABLE. i don’t know the rest of the shazamily actors by name but they were all good. the casting department deserves, like, all the awards.

and there’s two credit scenes for the film. the first, mid-credits one is the obvious sequel tease where sivana meets mr. mind (i can’t believe our villain for the second film is really gonna be a talking worm but here we are; at least it seems like he’ll team up with sivana, so mark should be back)

what i hoped would be an actual henry cameo or even possibly one from dwayne johnson was actually kind of a throwaway post-credit scene, and one i almost feel like could have been added in fairly recently. not due to quality, but bc it’s just, like, one big joke about how cool aquaman is. well, not a joke, but - basically the scene’s already appeared in tv spots. billy, as shazam, realizes he doesn’t have the power to talk to fish and questions how a power like that could even be cool/useful. freddy points to his aquaman shirt and says how it could be used to control an army of thousands in the ocean, and i forget exactly what billy says, but it’s something like “oh, yeah, i guess that is cool” and that’s how the movie ends. part of me wants to say it was added fairly later on bc aquaman just came out in december and though i think the shazam reshoots were done by then, they couldn’t have predicted that aquaman would be a success, so the scene might not have been as funny if the film flopped. but i won’t sit here and over-analyze or anything.

last thing i’ll say, though it may be an odd not to end on - the actual credit sequence is pretty cool. it’s all 2d animated and is made to look like a flip book in a notebook or post-it notes, and is kind of hinted to have been done by freddy since his “guide to superhero-ing” makes a brief appearance, as well as some of his justice league action figures. most of the league actually make appearances in this animation and it’s very cute. kinda pokes fun at them but not in a bad/mean way at all. one i’ll mention is when wonder woman appears and she kisses shazam!billy on the cheek. i would bet that zac is dying to recreate that in live-action bc we all know he loves gal, like, a lot. (and who can blame him?)

okay, this review is probably way too long now and i haven’t even talked about everything in my notes. but like i said, i’ll make separate posts for some things. go see this movie. i assure you, you will not be disappointed.

hi! it’s a brief episode during winter when they were both still in first year. i’m not sure where exactly it fits in the overall timeline though, bc my memory is kinda patchy now x_x

anyway, it starts out with kouhei being woken up by his mom on new year’s day. 

as they are eating, mrs. sugihara suggests that maybe next year, they should go celebrate at his dad’s place instead (i was like wait, his dad’s alive? lol). kouhei’s like eh, don’t wanna, taking a long flight is tiring. why don’t you go by yourself? and his mom’s like, but i wanna watch the fireworks with both of you! …which he thinks is just a total pain in the ass.

after that, his mom makes him tag along with her to the shrine (as her personal porter) where she meets up with some friends. she eventually leaves with them to go to a new year’s party. kouhei’s just about to head home when this lion mascot shows up right behind him and scares the shit outta him. 

it’s taichi! he’s working part-time for some lion dance thing. 

they proceed to have Cute Moments, such as 1) taichi sneezing and kouhei giving him his scarf, 2) taichi’s tummy growling as usual so he grabs kouhei’s hand and drags him off to go get some amazake. at this point, kouhei’s thinking, bless you mom. lol

kouhei then asks taichi if he has done his prayers yet. he’s like yeah! and starts listing out every single wish he made before kouhei has to stop him like “i heard if you say it out loud it won’t come true.” taichi then goes all CRAP, so kouhei tries to backtrack by saying, “uh well i couldn’t hear you very well so maybe it’s still okay” lmao

relieved, taichi decides to go get more amazake. kouhei’s watching him from afar and doing his “i’m so fucking in love” face, before he gets approached by the Sparkly Group of Girls™ from college who ask if he’s interested in hanging out with them. 

taichi catches sight of the scene from far, and asks about it when he gets back. kouhei explains the whole situation. taichi asks, “you’re not going?” kouhei’s like nope. and taichi’s like why? do u have something else to do? and kouhei’s like WHAT DO U MEAN WHY………… and taichi being the doofus that he is, does not catch on at all so kouhei gives up.

then SOMEHOW, taichi slips and falls AGAIN. i honestly worry for this boy, bc at the rate he’s going he’s seriously gonna get brain damage at some point. 

luckily, kouhei catches him and sorta like, ends up holding him. 

and then some old guy shows up being a total cockblock all, TAICHI THE NEXT LION DANCE IS COMING UP SOON and ofc, taichi freaks out and pushes kouhei off, returns his scarf and is like SORRY, SEE U IN SCHOOL! 

as he’s running off, he’s thinking “did i just imagine it or did he HUG ME………”

meanwhile, kouhei is spiraling into one of those “what am i doing. i hope he didn’t notice it. why am i like this. am i pervert or something” train of thoughts. he decides to go do his prayers too. he thinks, i don’t want taichi to hate me. he doesn’t have to like me but i just want to stay by his side. i would do anything for that. 

it ends with the pic that i posted where he’s praying:

“so please, somehow, let me be with him always.”

okay im finally getting around to posting this, tbh i had to take a few days to (rest) before i thought more about this lol. also sorry it’s so long, ill put it under a read more. ANYWAYS my vav experience, as follows:

so for the fan sign there was a Lot going on so i forgot most of it but.. barons teeth sparkled when he smiled lmao anyways st van was first and I told him he was my moms favorite and he went rly?? in a really cute voice and he just seemed so surprised, it was endearing

and then jacob... i don’t mess with him anymore. jk lol he was so freaking attractive but like in a Hot way? his smile was so nice that im pretty sure i garbled my words but i tried to tell him i really like love night.. and I was going to ayno and like idk if i was joking to myself or what but just loud enough i actually said, oh that’s lots of bling! and both ayno and jacob heard me, ayno laughed genuinely and jacob was like omg i can’t believe this idiot.. i don’t think i said anything to ayno, he seemed really uncomfortable so i didn’t want to bother him anymore. but his laugh was genuine i could tell, and for a split second i don’t think he was wearing his Idol Mask(TM) when he smiled. but that’s probably just wishful thinking lol

ACE I CANT BELIEVE HIM he looked so fucking good oh my god i got to him and i called him a Casanova and he went ayyyy with a thumbs up and finger guns and i wanted to die lmfao

when i got to baron he said my name but kinda pronounced it wrong but i corrected him, and he said it again. and then i told him my name rhymes with his and he said mine like four times in different ways trying it out and rhyming it with his stage name😭 HE DIDNT have to say my name that many times, god. his English was so fucking good holy shit and his pronounciation??? Amazing and he’s so handsome up close, like literal Disney prince handsome

ziu talks sooo much!!! I love it and he’s so good looking and kind and he shook my hand and ??? he said to enjoy the show and i told him to enjoy doing the show and he did like a shy smile kind of thing !! you could tell he was trying hard with the English i was rly proud of him

lou had a flower crown on and i complimented on it and he said my name so well and there was more with him but i forgot 😢

but that was just the fan sign lol so much other stuff happened... later during the show i nearly died bc of ayno.. they were picking people to go up on stage, right? and there was a girl in front of me also with her hand raised, like freaking out (maybe a bit too much?) and i was like okay she probably wants it so i kinda like.. stopped raising my hand and gestures to her? If that makes sense... he almost picked her but when he saw me be nice and let her have it, he literally stares at me and picks me, dead on...but someone random that he wasn’t pointing at like ROWS back walked on stage before we could realize it was me but that fucking eye contact i had with him made him SHOOT up my bias list lol now I have to rethink my entire order. im like 75% sure that he picked me because i wasn’t a crazy fan, like the girl in front of me was a bit much.. and obviously if i was willing to give it up im not that insane... ladies, it pays off to be a nice person!

AND JACOB WITH THE BABY please end me i fell for him so much like he’s almost overtaking baron that’s how much i liked him last night and how nice is vav that they tried to pick new people?? like they picked the fan boy, the little baby, the elderly lady.. and they even helped her to and from the stage 💗😍 AND SPEAKING of gentlemanly stuff there was a guy with a wheelchair during the snapshots in line for jacob and when they were done he personally pushed the guy in the wheelchair all the way to where the man needed to go. he breaks my heart and heals it simultaneously, he’s so underrated but still a genuinely and QUIET nice person.. he doesn’t do good stuff to be noticed. like when winter breeze was over, they had the rappers sing it too... but not jacob. i was so upset and he also didn’t do his solo song that i specifically told him i liked, but ayno did two of his. im not bitter at all what do u mean ??? 🤷‍♀️

i feel like more happened at the concert but i can’t think of much more, im sure other fan accounts will have it all. the only thing i can think about is the snapshots anyways lol

the group picture was ... interesting. the hi touch wasnt much except it reinforced my idea that ayno recognized me, bc instead of a high five he held my hand for as long as possible, probably an apology for earlier. i nearly died. the pic ended up looking awful but thats okay lol. then we tried to leave but i ended up going the wrong way, and a staff handed me roughly like actually grabbing my shoulders and pushing me in the right direction (which i did not appreciate, please chill, u just didnt tell us the right way to go...) and a few members saw that and didnt like either. ayno looked irritated but im sure  hes just irritated at everything at that point lol, lou and ace looked at me sympathetically, and i gave ace the happy bday present someone asked me to give to him. he was so surprised it was adorable.

OKAY, NOW FOR THE SNAPSHOTS: so i actually had 7 snapshots but ended up getting 2 with jacob and 2 with ayno instead of one with everyone (which.. if u look above is not a surprise lmfao) so the first snapshot i do is with baron, obviously.. and this ASSHOLE wants to kill me like... for everyone i tried to pick poses that werent too touchy bc a) im not comfortable w that and b) im sure they were all tired of being touched lol so i picked the one where you make fingerhearts while standing next to each other, but NOOOOO

baron decides he doesnt like that pose enough so he literally puts his hands on my shoulders, guides me to a position thats not only in FRONT of him but CLOSER TO HIM than i was originally!!! what the fuck!! thats not all after that he had to lean around me and basically like... he was so fucking close to me oh my god. he smelled so good i need to know where he gets his cologne. also lol when he moved me in front of him i was like... omg are u sure??? im kinda tall.. and he just laughs and smiles and leans into/around me. that picture of me looks so stupid bc i was so.. happy and Not Ready lmao

anyways i go to jacob next and do the e-t touch pose lol since like i said... didnt want touchy ones and he seemed amused that i picked that one. i wonder if it was one of the least popular ones? probably.. and GOD hes rly such a gentleman hottie like i rarely say h*t but.... jacob was hot. since we did the e.t touch pose we had to touch fingertips and (eyes emoji) not to have a hand kink or anything but hes got. really nice hands. long fingers. also lmfao he had long ass fingernails and i kinda joked with him like “youve got longer fingernails than i do!!” and he laughed and smiled at me. and okay i turn to leave like gotta have the next person go but APPARENTLY he wasnt ready for the next person yet...  i literally had to have the staff be like wait! jacob is saying bye to you!!! and i was like WHAT and turned around and ran back to him basically to say bye he was grinning the entire time and he waved his hand and held it up for (i thought) a high five but he grabbed it and i swear i fell for him right there. JACOB WHEN WILL U BE MINE godfjkdgd and i watched him for a little bit but he didnt say bye that enthusiatically to anyone else (that i saw, at least)

then i did the prom pose with st. van, it was adorable. you could tell he was rly trying to interact with everyone and idk what it is about him but i felt comfortable enough to actually do a Touchy pose (the holding arm pose, like prom yknow). we love an amazing leader~

oH i did one with ziu too!! i did the byung byung pose with the hands together and we both looked ridiculous lol. i dont remember much about him except he was so tall wtf taller than i expected.

at this time i keep looking at my pics and THE E.T PIC WITH JACOB??? makes me crack the hell up.... it had to have been fate, obviously. in the pic (from the camera flash, i guess) where our fingers were touching, it just SO HAPPENED THAT THERE WAS A FLASH OF LIGHT......... iconic. jacob n i are meant to be. so i get in line for him again bc i want to show him the pic, but by the time i got up there again i had forgotten. i was also like... ready for a touchy pose with him bc why not. i cant remember what pose i did with him or if anything happened, im sure i was in a trance then lmao. pretty sure he recognized me but i cant be sure. 

then i get in line for ayno and i have two snapshot tickets left, and the staff announces theres only a few mins left so i was like SHIT and figured id just do two with ayno bc i didnt wanna waste any. his line was so long and staff had to keep reminding ppl not to hug/touch him and i felt soooo bad. i picked poses that werent too close to him, and even those in the pic he looked like he was trying to not be close to me lol. i feel so bad for him, im sure he got a lot of weird fans that night. i think he recognized me (again) because he smiled genuinely like he was happy i was there. i think he appreciated that i picked poses that didnt require touching -- he probably had a Lott of that. when the second pic was being printed the staff member laughed at something someone said, but i thought she was laughing at my picture bc i take shit pics and i got offended for a second and so did ayno LMAO but then she explained and i said bye to him and he went back into Idol Mask(TM) and i think that was it. 

i also ate at ihop that night, it was great, we didnt get back to our hotel till after 2am, it felt so... young adult-ish to be out so late lmao. i was very proud at how everything turned out, i dont think i wouldve changed a thing

anyway, long story short: im in love with jacob, baron is a disney prince, ayno shot up my bias list (he was like... last lmao) and i appreciate him as a person. those three were the Big Three, but i still loved meeting the other members. 10/10 would recommend vav
