“To all who did receive Jesus, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” —John 1:12-13 (NIV)
“But some people did accept him. They believed in him, and he gave them the right to become children of God. They became God’s children, but not in the way babies are usually born. It was not because of any human desire or plan. They were born from God himself.” —John 1:12‭-‬13 (ERV)
The only thing you need to be given the right to become a Child of God is faith. The Gods Word Translation of John 1:12 says that Jesus “gave the right to become God’s children to EVERYONE who believed in Him.”
When you believe in Jesus and receive Him, you are spiritually born again and receive eternal life. (John 3:3-16).
Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross means that what you've done or said in the past doesn't matter. Your past sins don't matter. Your sins are forgiven and you have been made acceptable in God's sight by the blood of Christ.
Jesus says in John 6:37 that He will never turn away anyone who comes to Him. And Friend, you are an anyone (see John 6:35-40).
By faith in Jesus, you can say, “God, I'm so blessed to be Your Child.” It's that simple. Amen! 🙌

Zecharia 3:10 Invite Everyone
“In that day,” says the Lord of hosts, “Everyone will invite his neighbor under His vine and under His fig tree.” Zecharia 3:10 When a person has something great happening, that person will often invite many others to be a part of it. Often the invitations are for parties, celebrations, weddings and other great events. People want others to be a part of celebrations so that they can rejoice…

David's Glimpse of God Aligns with Scripture
Psalm 18 has a wonderful middle section for us today verses 30-36. As you read picture the blessings David attributes to knowing the Lord. God is amazing!! God’s way is perfect.    All the Lord’s promises prove true. God only makes true promises.    He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. God protects those are his.31 For who is God except the Lord?    Who but our God is a solid…

"Can anything separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (-) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loves us.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our fears about tomorrow- not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below- indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 8:35,37-39

When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified Him there . . .
—  Luke 23:33
Crucifixion was one of the most brutal, degrading, and humiliating ways to be put to death. The sinless Son of God was crucified. It's far beyond our human understanding. But this was God's way of saying to each of us, "The curse you deserve is placed on My Son." He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Do you often wonder if God really cares! "They crucified Him there." Be assured that God cares more than we will ever know. He cared enough to let His Son be crucified, taking our place.
Thank You Jesus, You died in my place. It's too marvelous to comprehend, but I am eternally grateful to You for Your selfless sacrifice.

The Last Days of Judas Iscariot saying that heaven and hell are a state of mind and nothing can obstruct you from salvation and the love of God except your own guilt. And despair being such a dooming force that even if Jesus were to appear in front of you himself and repeatedly remind you how much he loves you, hell, he'll try to hug you and wash your feet even, you can't be let free from the prison of suffering that you've confined yourself in. All because you're so disappointed in yourself that you're gripping the bars refusing to let go. How you cannot love God without first forgiving yourself. How the ultimate tragedy in this poignant dark comedy of a play is that Judas' damnation comes not from the fact that he betrayed Jesus, but from his self-disdain and perceived unworthiness that he basically condemned himself into an eternity of solitary anguish. I can go on about this play forever and ever. Do you get it.

Isaiah 45:22 Look To God For Salvation
Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. Isaiah 45:22 All over the world there is a lot of chaos occurring, wars and violence, sickness and death. Fear of death is common, and people are seeking answers to overcome that fear and to stop the death and chaos. Politicians and scientists are claiming to have the answers to the problems, only to bring…

Ancient Problems are Here and Now, Too!
Ancient Problems are Here and Now, Too!
November 17, 2022 Psalm 107:16-22 Some became fools through their rebellious ways    and suffered affliction because of their iniquities.18 They loathed all food    and drew near the gates of death.19 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,    and he saved them from their distress.20 He sent out his word and healed them;    he rescued them from the grave.21 Let them give thanks to…

i've been inspired by this song "Knight on the Moon- John Lordwood" recently. there's just something very melancholy about it, but in a mysterious way that builds into these intense moments of battle or rescue or something (the beginning leading up to 2:50 and also 6:27 onward).
this is the story of the Gospel, but i hope it's in a way that makes you see it with fresh eyes. the God of the universe, the vast cosmos, saw our sin and our suffering, and loved us enough to come down Himself. He was born as a human and experienced the joys and sorrows that we experienced. the devil is the temporary ruler on Earth and everyone is born under his rule, whether they know it or not. but Jesus paid the ransom for us, to move us into His own Kingdom. He gave His life so that we could be freed from those chains forever.
every pain you've experienced, every sadness that feels like it will finally swallow you whole; Jesus experienced that personally. He doesn't watch sympathetically from afar, He stands and cries with you, knowing just what you're feeling. He loved you enough to give His very life to give you hope. strength can be found in Him, and freedom, and joy. He is the ONLY way to be saved, not only from the consequences of your sins, but from the doom of living in a fallen world. the fallen world won't last forever though, He will soon remake it new. decide for yourself what kingdom you want to be part of.
"Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: 'Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?' For sin is the thing that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Corinthians 15:54-57)
