1430 punti (882 senza handicap) e sono arrivata penultima (11°) a questo torneo primavera di bowling ma posso comunque farmi un pat pat sulla spalla e dirmi brava per vari motivi:

con il riporto di 428 birilli ho fatto i seguenti punteggi: 153, 136, 160, 132, 145, 156 per una media di 147

prima di tutto le condizioni di salute non buone un raffreddore terribile che mi ha costretta ieri a non partecipare al rientro con cui avrei potuto provare ad alzare il riporto dei birilli abbattuti durante le qualificazioni (sono riuscita comunque a qualificarmi su 24 partecipanti) e oggi per riuscire a giocare la finale sono stata tutto il giorno sotto le coperte e mi sono fatta due aerosol e ho ridotto l'uso dello spray per il naso con cui mi stavo quasi avvelenando ieri per le dosi esagerate.

ho chiuso uno split piuttosto complicato e mi hanno fatto i complimenti per quella chiusura quindi sono felice così

la differenza di birilli con gli altri finalisti non è nemmeno tanto alta (almeno con alcuni) perché ho fatto 22 birilli in più rispetto all'ultimo, mentre con il 10° ho solo un birillo di differenza, con il 9° solo 12 birilli, con l'8° 27 birilli, con il 7° 49 birilli e da qui in poi inizio ad allontanarmi dagli altri finalisti perché con il 6° 50 birilli, con il 5° 55 birilli, con il 4° 59 birilli, con il podio sono distantissima infatti dal 3° posto sono distante di 121, con il 2° di 157 e con il 1° classificato di addirittura 218 birilli.

Désolé du manque de contenu… depuis quelques temps déjà. 🌕 Storicamente, la libertà di parola è stata limitata attraverso la coercizione diretta. Ma oggi, ciò viene fatto in modi più subdoli: “fact-checker”, governi che esercitano pressioni sulle società di social media affinché censurino, campagne anti-disinformazione e leggi sull’”incitamento all’odio”.

🌕 Le insidiose restrizioni sono diventate così gravi che in alcuni paesi europei le persone hanno paura di esprimere le proprie opinioni.

🌕 Le attività dei censori sono diventate importanti durante la crisi del Covid, quando molti critici delle misure di potere autoritario hanno avvertito la stigmatizzazione dei verificatori dei fatti e la conseguente cancellazione. Nel frattempo, la disinformazione e la propaganda da parte delle autorità spesso non sono state seguite da verifica dei fatti, moderazione e responsabilità.

🍎 Le nuove forme di censura nelle democrazie odierne: pressioni sulle società di social media e leggi sull’incitamento all’odio

🌕 Mentre nei regimi totalitari la libertà di parola è limitata da una coercizione diretta e rigorosa, nelle democrazie odierne ciò avviene in modi più subdoli. L’ultima tendenza, sia nell’UE ma anche negli Stati Uniti, è quella di fare pressione sulle società di social media affinché attuino la censura su un’ampia gamma di questioni (migrazione, clima, minoranze, salute, ecc.) quando le opinioni critiche non corrispondono a quelle approvate dalle autorità. Inoltre, diversi paesi europei hanno leggi sull’incitamento all’odio per proteggere le “minoranze”, che limitano esplicitamente la libertà di espressione e minacciano i critici con sanzioni penali.

🌕 In Germania, il paese più grande d’Europa, negli ultimi dieci anni le autorità hanno adottato una linea particolarmente dura nei confronti della libertà di espressione, portandola a un livello senza precedenti: già il 44% dei tedeschi ammette di dover stare attento nell’esprimere le proprie opinioni e solo il 40% pensa possono ancora esprimere liberamente le proprie opinioni.

🍎 La libertà di parola viene ridotta nelle crisi

🌕 La libertà di parola è una delle prime vittime quando una società precipita in crisi o quando viene evocata una crisi, soprattutto una crisi duratura. Se a tale crisi viene data una dimensione globale, ci sono tutte le ragioni per aspettarsi che chi è al potere attaccherà duramente la libertà di parola e i suoi critici. Giustificazioni sociali e psicologiche vengono addotte per giustificare la censura, ma molte crisi hanno dimostrato quanto siano fuorvianti tali giustificazioni.

🌕 Nick Hudson, il creatore di PANDA, ha giustamente concluso che quando un fenomeno o un evento viene presentato come una crisi globale con solo soluzioni globali, accompagnata dalla censura del dissenso, è sicuramente ed esclusivamente una truffa.

🌕 Negli ultimi dieci anni, il mondo occidentale è passato da una crisi all’altra, e ogni volta che le autorità cominciano a limitare la libertà di parola, trova sempre una giustificazione addolcita — che si tratti della lotta contro la “disinformazione” o della difesa delle “minoranze”. Ma il nocciolo del danno rimane senza risposta, con poca attenzione al danno causato dalla restrizione della libertà di parola nella società.

🍎 I fact-checker e la diffusione della disinformazione

🌕 Gran parte dell’etichettatura di disinformazione si basa sul lavoro dei cosiddetti fact-checker, il cui numero è cresciuto in modo esponenziale negli ultimi 15 anni. Il giornalista investigativo Paul D. Thacker ha sottolineato i pregiudizi dei fact-checker, evidenziando come essi possano contribuire a diffondere piuttosto che a fermare la disinformazione. La loro funzione sembra essere quella di confutare opinioni e fatti inappropriati nelle aree più problematiche per l’élite al potere, etichettandoli come “falsi”, “errati” e “fuorvianti”.

🍎 Miti e fatti durante la crisi del Covid: L’ombra della disinformazione governativa

🌕 Le attività dei censori sono diventate cruciali durante la crisi del Covid, quando molti critici delle misure di potere autoritario hanno subito stigmatizzazione e cancellazione. Secondo esperti come Vinay Prasad, Martin Kulldorff, Marty Makary e Jayanta Bhattacharya, le autorità hanno mentito su vari aspetti del Covid-19, mentre le Big Tech hanno contribuito a diffondere disinformazione.

🌕 In Europa, la campagna di “anti-disinformazione” si è diffusa nei corridoi del potere a Bruxelles, estendendosi a temi quali clima, migrazione, minoranze e salute. Tuttavia, la disinformazione e la propaganda delle autorità spesso non sono seguite da verifica dei fatti, moderazione e responsabilità.

🌕 La disinformazione può essere contrastata solo con fatti, maggiori informazioni e capacità di tollerare il dissenso, non con la censura o la minaccia di procedimenti penali.

🍎 Il punto di ebollizione del pianeta: Una narrazione distorta

🌕 La narrazione del cambiamento climatico antropico è stata inquadrata come una crisi globale con soluzioni globali, ma le restrizioni alle libertà individuali stanno diventando sempre più gravi. Gli esperti evidenziano incertezze nella ricerca sul cambiamento climatico, ma la narrazione unilaterale viene imposta con forza, impedendo un dibattito scientifico più ampio.

🌕 Al Gore e altri leader affermano che il cambiamento climatico crea migranti climatici, ma la storia mostra che guerre, regimi autoritari e politiche di “frontiere aperte” hanno un impatto maggiore sulla migrazione. Inoltre, le affermazioni apocalittiche su “ebollizione globale” e catastrofi climatiche sono sottolineate senza essere sottoposte a verifica.

🌕 In conclusione, durante la crisi della Democrazia, la libertà di parola è minacciata da forme subdole di censura, campagne anti-disinformazione e narrazioni distorte sulla crisi climatica. La società deve difendere il diritto di esprimere liberamente le proprie opinioni per preservare la democrazia.

Tools

Before I start with the list, I want to talk a bit about the nature of tools and their energies.

🕯🌒🌕🌘🕯

Tools can either be active or passive. This refers in part to Elemental associations. Active tools (athame and wand, for example) are associated with the active Elements of Air and Fire. These Elements are active because they are changing and dynamic, charged up and forceful. The passive Elements are then Earth and Water, because they are more mutable and slow in their changes and how they change other things, so their tools (cup, cauldron, etc.) are also considered passive.

Another way to think of these energies and Elements is as receptive and directive/projective. The wand and athame are used to direct energy, while the cup is used to receive it.

But an important aspect of active vs. passive to consider, is that something is “active” if it has action. Something is “passive” if it has passion. Just as active and action have the same root, so do passive and passion. Something which is active will act, but the reason and purpose of the action must be informed by passion, or it is mere anarchy. Passion is the reason for the action. Passion drives action. Without passion, action has no purpose.

Additionally, the God’s energy is said to be active, so Air and Fire are considered His Elements. Likewise, Goddess energy is passive, so Earth and Water are Hers. This is because the God is seen as being more headstrong and vivacious, while the Goddess has more patience and steadfastness. It does NOT mean that the Goddess (or women in general) is a doormat or utterly unconfrontational. It is simply describing the general nature of Her/their energies as understood and utilized in Wiccan context. The God is the action, while the Goddess is His passion.

┳┳ Altar and altar cloth – the altar is generally a low table or other flat surface on which other tools are placed during ritual. There is usually a prescribed setting, “a place for everything, and everything in its place,” but these placements vary according to the nature of the practitioner (Traditional vs. Eclectic, group work vs. personal, etc.) and, occasionally, of the rite itself. The altar cloth then is simply a cloth draped over the altar to protect the surface from ash, water, and candle drippings. The color is often determined by the rite and/or season, and it is often preferable that the cloth be of natural materials like cotton or silk.

🗡 Athame (“ah-THAM-ee/ay”) – personal knife, Traditionally with a double-edged blade (usually stainless steel or iron) and a black wooden handle. In some Traditional settings, Initiates’ athames have specific symbols inscribed on their handles, the meanings of which are Oathbound. General appearance otherwise is very much left up to the individual. The athame is used for saluting and directing energy (such as calling the Quarters) and leaving the circle if necessary, never for physically cutting. It is consided a projective tool, but varies between persons/groups/Traditions as to whether it represents Fire or Air. The two sides of the blade represent the union of duality between God and Goddess, light and dark, hexing and healing, etc., and that a Witch walks in neither extreme, but in balance.

🔔 Bell – rung to indicate intervals between parts of the rite.

📖 Book of Shadows – in Traditional paths, this is the collection of ritual scripts, instructions, lore, and spells that are considered to make up the Tradition’s core practice. Added to it can be poetry, commentary, and other materials, but nothing is ever supposed to be subtracted. This volume (or volumes, depending on the number of additions) is not revealed until after Initiation, and some Traditions hold that it must be copied at least in part by hand. For someone not in a Tradition, it is also such a collection of rituals, spells, and other information, that may or may not be shared with others at the individual’s discretion. This book is more prone to changes as the individual’s learnings, preferences, and needs of their path progress. Sometimes this more personal version is instead called a grimiore (“grim-waar”). Sometimes this version of a BoS is also used for spiritual journaling, or the journal may be a separate book sometimes called a Book of Mirrors.

🕯 Candles – lit to honor, represent, and invoke the Elements and the God and Goddess, and simply for illumination. Also a symbol of the Fire Element and therefore projective.

🥘 Cauldron – a representation of the Water Element, and thus receptive in nature. It is used to hold either liquid or fire, depending on the rite’s purpose. In less ritualized matters, in can be used to cook herbal brews for Magickal purposes, but in some cases the “cooking cauldron” is a different one than the “ritual cauldron,” depending on the practitioner’s path and preference.

🍷 Cup – each participant has their own cup (often a goblet or chalice) for sharing in Cakes and Wine, and the Priestess’ is usually placed on the altar during ritual and is the specific vessel used in the Cakes and Wine rite. Like the cauldron, this tool is receptive, and represents the Element of Water.

💨 Incense – used not only to “set the mood” for a ritual, but also to represent the active Elements of Air and Fire, and to cleanse and consecrate the circle and its participants. What specific herbs, oils, resins and scents are used can depend on the ritual’s purpose, or simple personal preference.

🗣️ Names – many ritual participants choose a special name to go by within sacred space. These names can come from a variety of inspirations, and while not always permanent choices, are meant to be personally meaningful and to facilitate the change of mindset necessary for ritual/Magickal workings.

📿 Necklace – in some Traditional settings, women are asked to wear an unbroken (meaning no charms, and if possible, no clasps) necklace of stones or beads (preferably of natural materials, i.e. not plastic) in ritual. This symbolizes the eternal cycle of life that the Goddess is seen as ruling. If men so choose, they may wear such a necklace as well. Other jewelry is allowed or not at the discretion of the group/ritual leaders. Usually, though, wearing jewelry or not is a matter of personal preference.

⭐ Pentacle – a flat tile of usually stone or wood inscribed with a pentacle (a single-point-up, five-pointed star in a circle). This is used in various ways, one of which being a kind of blessing platter for the Cakes and Wine rite. It is generally seen as representing Earth, and is therefore receptive.

👘 Robe – while some Traditions do practice skyclad (that is, in the nude, “clad only by the sky”), non-Initiate and many non-Traditional workings are generally done robed. This change of clothing is meant to facilitate the change of mindset necessary for ritual and Magick, much like the aforementioned name change. Some groups have guidelines on the color and style of robes, others do not.

🧂 Salt/Water – representatives of the receptive Elements of Earth and Water, and when combined are also used in consecrations and cleansing.

🚻 Statue – often times, a statue (or statues) is placed on the altar as a representation of Deity.

⚕️ Wand – a length of (usually) wood and another tool for directing energy. Often used in invoking/channeling rites, and sometimes used to draw the circle. Another directive tool and the other side of the Air/Fire dispute with the athame. Variations exist on standards for length, materials, and adornments.

Introduction:

The Sorcerer is a humanoid of medium hight. He wears a blue cloak and a tall red conical hat with no rim. His most striking feature are his eyes, which seem hyper-realistic compared to the rest of him.

The Sorcerer currently makes his home in the Chateau Magique, a giant levitating castle which can also teleport wherever the Sorcerer likes (so long as it can fit)

The Sorcerer is also now a demigod, courtesy of @merchant-wizard-and-jerry via magic card draw. He has the power to grant sorcery to anyone he wishes, and he is looking to increase our numbers.

Backstory

The Sorcerer was born Orion, a normal child with little aptitude for magic. Still, Orion studied hard to train as a wizard in the academy, but sadly failed for his inability to cast but the simplest of spells.

After failing to become a wizard like he dreamed, Orion spent many years traveling around the different realms in search of magical powers. He could not find a god or spirit he trusted enough to swear fealty, so cleric and warlock were off the table. One day he comes across a mysterious merchant and purchases a Bag of Magic Marbles. He could tell it was powerful, and the merchant tells him it can grant him the magic he seeks, but warns him to be careful.

With his new purchase, excited for its potential, Orion opened the bag to examine its contents, to see a near endless sea of different colored marbles. Before he could catch himself, he was pulled by a strange force, and he fell into the Bag.

By the time he emerged, he found himself in a place called Wizard Island Island, and Orion was no more. Only the Sorcerer remained.

Cassian joins Nesta for a midnight yoga session. 🌒⭐🌕⭐🌘

a/n: Finally getting around to an ask! Cause I wanted to procrastinate all the stuff I actually have to do. I do hope to slowly make my way through the prompts/requests that are in my ask box - they are not forgotten! This was the earliest one. But the dialogue idea link doesn't work anymore, so I just did my own, but I'm cool with that, I like where I went with it.

The concept was based on this image I found of a Moon Salutation yoga routine. Thought it'd work well for October. 👀🍁🍂🌕🧡

"This makes no sense," Cassian grumbled as he followed Nesta's lead, his legs spread out as he stood with his hands on his hips. "How is this stance any form of exercise?"

"Exercise isn't all cardio, weights, and fight training," Nesta sighed, taking a deep breath to center herself. "Yoga is more about awareness and harmony of the mind and body. Focus on your breathing as you do each stance, and let yourself feel every facet of your being."

Nesta couldn't judge Cassian for the small snort that came out of him. She knew she sounded ridiculous, but she wasn't wrong. She just needed to find her own way of explaining it, instead of spitting out Gwyn's words.

She straightened her body and then stretched her arms above her head, placing one hand over the other as she curved her waist slightly. Cassian huffed out a breath and mimicked her pose.

"Which one's this?" he asked, not really sounding interested.

"The half moon," she explained.

"Is that why we're doing this in the middle of the night?"

"In a sense, yes," she answered with a smile, letting herself meet those hazel eyes, the color difficult to see, but they still sparkled in the moon light.

They were out on their deck, each standing on a yoga mat, with all the lights in their house turned off. They lived outside the city, other houses far enough away they couldn't see their lights, and the night sky above was a pit of glorious darkness, stars sparkling within it. Directly above them, the full moon was out, glowing magnificently.

Nesta moved into a stance with her legs spread again and bent a bit, her arms parallel to the ground and bent upward at a 90 degree angle so that her hands were near level with the top of her head. "I found this yoga combination online, it's called a Moon Salutation. Thought it was fitting for October's full moon."

Cassian's lips spread into a playful smirk as he adjusted himself into the same stance. "Nesta Archeron…are you tricking me into doing some witch-y ritual?"

She rolled her eyes but couldn't stop the small chuckle that escaped her lips. "And what if I was?" She straightened her knees and arms, moving into the five pointed star. "You have a problem appreciating the moon?"

"Not at all. Though, based on my current thoughts, pretty sure I'm appreciating you in the moonlight, more than the moon itself," he teased, trailing his eyes down and back up her body in an obvious manner.

Nesta shook her head, giving him a soft look as her only response. He wasn't so bad himself in the moonlight, his onyx hair shining in its glow, the darkness and softer light creating shadows that gave him a look of mystery that had Nesta wishing the combination included some doubles poses.

But she kept going, moving into the triangle, her legs still spread, but now pointing to the front of the mat, arms extended as she curved her body so that the left would be on the ground. She then turned her face to look toward her lifted right hand.

"You're supposed to be looking at your hand, and the moon beyond it," she sighed, feeling Cassian's gaze on her after she heard his body move.

"I'm sure the moon is okay so long as I've generally got the pose right."

"These are actual yoga poses, you know," she groaned, trying very hard not to look at him. She did want to finish the combination, and she doubted spending too much time eyeing Cassian would help. Especially considering he'd opted to go shirtless for this, despite the chill in the air.

So she quickly flipped her face to looking down at the mat as she brought her other hand down to the ground, her legs generally in the same place as the previous pose, leaving just her butt up in the air. She always enjoyed the pyramid poses, they allowed her a stretch in her back she could get in other ways.

She heard another shift to her right and took a peek to make sure Cassian was doing the pose correctly.

Once again, his head was the only issue. Instead of being kept down, it was completely up, eyes focused on her.

Well, her ass.

He'd followed her movement, but decided to position himself in the opposite direction, apparently for a better view.

"Really, Cassian?" she laughed, standing up to face him.

"What? You bend down like that in those tight leggings and expect me to not seize the opportunity? Do you know me at all?" He stood straight and flashed her his stupid half-smile, the one he knows she can't get enough of, and Nesta felt her heart skip a beat.

It was always doing that with him. Ever since they first met four years before.

"If you wanted me to wear them for you, you could have just asked," she purred, her voice low and sultry. She saw Cassian's eyes widen for a moment, and she knew exactly what he thought was about to happen. Silly boy. "Instead of disrupting my yoga routine," she added, her voice shifting to something with more bite. It was still light, but held enough sharpness to make him reevaluate. "Now you've offended the moon."

"I have not offended the moon," he grunted, taking a step closer to her and placing a hand on her waist, clearly not dissuaded.

"Really? Because I am suddenly incredibly tired. Think I might just go straight to bed and pass out," she yawned, her voice strained and movements exaggerated.

Cassian's eyes darkened as his face fell into one of determination. "And how do we fix that?" he asked in barely a whisper.

"We have to get through the full salutation. Properly." she commanded.

"And then I can…appreciate you in the moonlight?" he requested, his voice still low and guttural.

"It should be the witching hour by then, a most apt time for that form of appreciation," she agreed with a wink, causing Cassian to groan.

He pulled his hand away and stepped back onto his own mat. "Then let's salute this…moon."

Nesta laughed, knowing exactly what Cassian was about to say. It was adorable, regardless that she knew he didn't believe a word of what she'd been saying. Still, he did take this second round far more seriously, and they completed the set within twenty minutes, Cassian panting slightly.

"Harder than you thought?" she teased as he took a particularly deep breath.

"The movements, no. The breathing, maybe a bit," he admitted sheepishly. It had Nesta giggling as she stepped toward him and wrapped her arms around his waist. "Is the moon happy now?"

She lifted her face to meet his gaze, smiling gently up at him. "Oh, yes, the moon is very pleased. In fact, it's gifted me a large burst of energy."

"Well, we wouldn't want that gift to go to waste," he muttered, leaning in and kissing her softly for a moment.

Their faces remained close, but not touching as Nesta brought one hand up, caressing his cheek before brushing it into his hair. "No, we definitely wouldn't. Nor should these leggings." She grinned widely as Cassian laughed and then guided his lips back to hers, kissing him passionately beneath the moon.
