Kaz leaned back. "What's the easiest way to steal a man's wallet?"
"Knife to the throat?" asked Inej.
"Gun to the back?" said Jesper.
"Poison in his cup?" suggested Nina.
"You're all horrible," said Matthias.

nothing fucks with my baby
pairing: boba fett/fennec shand
fandom: star wars (the book of boba fett)
rating: general
word count: 1218
summary: Fennec Shand owes her life to Boba Fett, but their relation goes much deeper than a debt - she likes him.
(another fluff without plot situation, domestic feelings about this pairing after their dinner scene in the third episode! hope you’ll enjoy <333)
Fennec Shand owes a debt to Boba Fett - in fact, this debt is her life, and she has no intention of breaking any debts of hers.
This is somewhat of a rare occurrence, however. See, a debt is quite like a burden, one that she seeks to lift off her shoulders as soon as possible. Boba, however, is different. He is no burden. She actually likes Boba.
Well, like is a word that doesn’t exactly cover the respect she has for him, and the shallowness of liking doesn’t appeal to her, either. Anyone can like anyone or anything. Liking is reserved for meeting a new person and not knowing much more than the idea of them, liking a town from your childhood is different than any feelings she has towards the man under her protection.
See, feelings. Fennec owes him her life. You’d think this would feel more as hard work, but it doesn’t. Instead, she just wants the man on the other side of the table to eat.
“Have some food,” she tells him for the second time, to which Boba sighs, insisting that waiting is out of the question. She wishes he would listen, but she’s learned he’s the most stubborn person she knows. Well, after herself, perhaps.
If their dinner hadn’t been interrupted, maybe she’d get him to eat a little bit, anything. She truly doesn’t understand why that in particular is this important to her, but she gets plenty of time to analyze it.
Boba Fett is under her protection, she has a responsibility, for his life, for his health. But who is she fooling? It goes much, much deeper than that.
Traveling with the man and growing as close as he’d allowed her to know about his past, his present, Fennec realizes she might have to pull up that silly word like for the first time in a long time.
