I've been.. thinking, Ik aprilbfools has ended but i am reminded of the old time when we got an anime and we thought it was an april fools joke.

I was thinking about a very stupid mc who's very inlove with demon of choice but afraid of their reaction. they confess on april fools, demon of choice loves mc too, a lot, and before they could be happy they realize it's april fools and they try to ignore it and think mc doesn't love them

Oh noooo that is angsty...

I'm just imagining poor flustered MC confessing on April Fool's without realizing it. And then their demon just laughs it off because they think it's a joke. MC's heart breaks in that instant, but they quickly try to cover up and pretend it was supposed to be a joke. Meanwhile, the demon's heart is also broken and they try to act natural, but end up failing. Depending on the demon, they may isolate themselves or start doing destructive things, all to take their mind off the fact that MC doesn't love them.

MC is watching their demon go downhill fast, but they aren't sure why and they don't know what to do about it.

This could go a couple of ways. You could go happy ending and make it so they eventually figure out they're being dumb.

Or you could go sad ending where they never realize the truth. They stay pining forever, maybe even if force themselves to move on or try dating other people. No matter what they do, they're always thinking about the one they really love.

Nooo that's so sad, my poor heart! Miscommunication, the source of all agonies lol.
