What happens AFTER you get shredded??? - Here is a great example thanks to my client Cameron @pnw.trans.dad - Cameron wanted to get shredded for an event this summer, and as you can see, he put in the work and reached his goal. - Staying shredded year around isn’t sustainable, and his next goal is to put on more mass to compete at the @iatbp.official in 2023 😁 - So how do you move from a diet phase to a gaining phase without gaining all the weight back and then some? - You may have heard the term “reverse diet”. - I feel like the term reverse diet has become a bit of a buzzword much like “starvation mode” has. Both of these terms seem like magic mythical creatures of the diet world when in fact they are decently simple concepts that are not magical at all 😅 - So what is a reverse diet and how does it work? - Reverse diet is slowly increasing calories after a diet phase ends to eventually get you back up to maintenance calories and then eventually into a surplus. - In theory, this should help minimize fat gain while focusing on gaining muscle. - As you can see, Cameron’s reverse diet is going well! Losing fat successfully isn’t just about weighing less on the sad step
it also goes way beyond improving health as-well
When most boring PT’s talk about the benefits of fat loss they mention improvements in health (yawn)
less likely to get heart disease, type 2 diabetes, a better BMi, lower cholesterol levels blah blah blah !
We all know that... and tbh this is important
BUT….
fat loss to me goes way beyond that
It’s about…
✅ Not worrying about what I order when i'm eating out
✅ Training with my top off because I’m proud of what I look like and all the hard work I’ve put in has paid off
✅ Wearing something I wouldn’t usually wear amd fweling fucking good about myself
✅Starting a new sport or hobby
✅ Waking up being Proud of my reflection and NOT feeling like shit
✅ Spending more time in my pants
✅ Lying in bed in the evening knowing I gave my everything to every task I set myself for the day
✅ Having sex with ethe light on WALLOP!!!
So my question to you is do you want to have less fat?...
But it’s not just being less fat is it?
It’s the fact that you wear dull boring, baggy clothes everyday
The fact that when you stand up in work you have to pull your top down to cover your belly
It’s how not only is your confidence at an all time low but it’s also having a knock on effect on other areas of your life as well
whether it’s standing up in a meeting to express your opinion
going on holiday and the seat you sit in on the plane
Feeling like shot everyday
Procrastinating daily
Jealous of those who are smashing it on social media
Even what you order at dinner In Front of your friends and having that constant fear of being judged
It’s about worrying about your health and the chances of bad things happening to our health or that of our loved ones
This goes a lot deeper than just weighing less
Fat loss is about liberation, freedom, eradication of guilt, being more confident and not looking better but feeling better in every f##king way.
But you knew this already
right?

I HAVE A LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP... with my body. The little things... The tiny little details... I've gained some extra fluff ( #thicc ) But on the flip side.. Check out the extra muscle development in my shoulders in this past year. I have spent a good chunk of this last year building muscle and fixing my metabolism as opposed to losing fat and THE STRUGGLE 👏IS 👏 REAL. BUT. the struggle is necessary for those tiny little details that will make all the difference when it's time for my physique to change. I need to keep telling myself #patience #longtermgoals #theresplentyoftime Because that shit is hard to believe!! I want to lose fat! I want to have a banging bikini bod just like everybody else does, but the reality is, if I have a shit metabolism, I'm either starving or not losing weight. It's not always about dieting. The ONLY exception to the wine rule is for post-work networking drinks. You certainly don’t want to make the other person feel bad about drinking wine! You don’t want them to feel like an alcoholic just because you’ve decided to take care of yourself. If they order another glass, so will you! You may even order a third so that they don’t suspect you’re more healthy and mindful than they are. . The occasional glass of wine won’t make a dent if you’re working out more often than not. With your work schedule, you’ll need to wake up at 5:55 AM to make it to a 6:30 AM spin class. As long as you enjoy the spin class and don’t leave in a huff after not being able to figure out how to clip your shoe onto the pedal and realize you were supposed to rent special shoes beforehand for $10 (??), you’ll be back every morning. That won’t happen to you in 2020 because you’re go-with-the-flow mindful. . There is only ONE reason to skip an early morning class and that is if it is so frigid inside your apartment and your duvet is really warm and your cat is curled up in a cute tiny ball right next to you. If you lift the blanket you will surely wake her and you can’t possibly do that so early in the morning, so you sacrifice your morning workout to stay warm and take care of young Poppy.
