Archipelagos of affection at the end of phone calls crumbling as they graze against my tongue in muted defeat. Recollection of fragmented grief. Heart strained, not broken Caught in your storm I became the eye And you saw me whole I witnessed your broken And the shattered glass Got caught in my throat. Crumbled into my heart And left dissolving kisses. We lie awakened in a field Of novel landscapes, liminal in their rooted mycelia, expanding into a portrait of our sacred. Our limbs intertwined as branches. Intersmiling warmth into our cores. Differently, this time. In an alternate timeline where the sun could meet the moon without either of them healing from their history of crater-wounds because there were no comets to scar us with widening arteries, blood searching for a heartbeat. Every expectation dying inside my heart. Rewinding their flesh, newborn, still. born. Memories flashing in my cinema-cranium: ["i need to keep you fed." ears carressed. body memory. soft faces hugging at their zeniths. breathing into each other. diaphragms oscillating into one another. vased crimson carnation bent at the neck. ghost of a black cat observing my bathroom mirror-stares. bawling at your hand on my blackhole gut. "my b..." is TV static becoming an ocean of cicadas.] returning to new hollowness, unfilling into a corpse forgiving its stagnance. I've so much left to grieve. the night rory died, he moved the chair, his blonde locks fell

& we will never be the same

i moved to the beach, thrusted my hands into the mud

broke the jaw of every clam, hoping to find him

his pearly smile, like a broken necklace, thudded to the ground

scattered across mahogany floor

he kissed open the stitches of my gums & draped my teeth

on a necklace over the shy of his breasts

new lovers plagiarize, say awkward things, and yearn

they ask to see my pretty smile

but who smiles when the sky swallows its stars

Body is archival cradles each document with softening hands. pleads forlorn forgiveness in serpent tongues. licks the salt of your sweat and stares intently in the tunnels of your corneas, silten with saline. RETURN. mantra of lightness of being. I was young the first time i dissociated. visual proces sing: a broken elegy. the strings from my eyes snapped as twigs would when strained by the weight of their absent breath. I held mine still under my tongue, inhale-less into the present. split my psyche in half, learning to face my reflective portraiture. wallhung up intently by the palms of a praying goddess. earthskin tones of intersimulated spellwork simulacrum prickling my Ego. bending its tendons to toughen. for trauma wounds itself to stay alive. cuts in order to stay breathing. severs nervous system signals. prepares for impact. if i am then i am Nothing. I return to my neglected wounds with a broken smile. Nostalgia seeping through my pores as rivulets beckon me homeward. Remember the bloodclots left here by your fear. they miss you. dearly. Note on the direction of this site:

I have been letting this blog rest, after a single post- unsure of whose work to feature next… Initially I was thinking of adding queer poets chronologically prioritizing poets who had less access to privileges during their life time and eventually working my way to contemporary poets. The interweb search for “queer poc poets in history” then “queer black poets in history” “queer brown poets in history” and came up disappointingly sparse, vague, cluttered with irrelevant answers. A quick inter web search for queer black, brown, other non-white poets in history makes the erasure of non-white histories under a white supremacist society abundantly obvious. So- I will continue my search and feature black and other non-white queer poets from history; but, I wanted to feature this super rad journal as soon as possible, as well as a poem by its gender queer, ‘latinpunk’ editor, Loma.

These poems are incredible, perhaps I’ll post this again when this blog transitions from being seen by myself and a few friends.
