Some of the gauntlet’s internals. I learned a trick or two when I did some work for a rather large corporation who like super heros in making costume armour. It’s important that the insides of the gauntlet be as flush and as sturdy as possible because there’s only an opera glove between nuts and bolts and a person’s skin but this has to last for an entire shoot and still actuate correctly.

the graphic pretty much says it all but here's a quick summary: the main purpose of this is trial and error. at some point in the future, i wanna start art vending and selling physical goods of my art so that it can become my main form of income (commissions are very difficult to keep up with on a monthly basis), and the sticker club was conceived as a way to have fun with it and give patrons a little something more for supporting me.

Because I am literally never not thinking about weird meta, blurring lines between reality and narrative, and the whole concept of actors becoming their characters, I am now entertaining thoughts of a Shadow of the Vampire-style story wherein a late-2010s-style all-female The Lost Boys remake gets derailed when the lead actress suddenly starts not showing up to shooting because she's sleeping all day...

#the plot still revolves around trying to figure out who the very real head vampire is (but now including everyone in the cast and crew)#but also trying to figure out what bits of vampire lore (from various sources) are actually applicable #('no that doesn't count!' 'it was in the sequel!' 'exactly why I said it doesn't count!')#and of course there's a little sister. there's got to be a little sister.#i don't know enough about moviemaking to do a story like this justice and yet. i always so badly want to #it's an all-girl remake because i'm queer and driver picks the music. hope that helps #(ngl any kind of remake/reboot made in the late 2010s/2020s would be aesthetically toothless. see the Flatliners reboot/sequel/whatever)#(so part of the happy ending on this one is the movie getting scrapped)#(the world's not ready. hollywood's not ready.)#(wait until the costume designers and makers strike and get better conditions. then we'll talk.)#the lost boys

When I think of pride, when I think of my queer friends, my family, myself— I think of joy, resiliency, and community. And how those three intermingle. It’s difficult to be resilient without community and joy. It’s hard to make joy for the future without a resilient past/present. While you can have joy by yourself, there’s a special joy in your found family community.

This years pride charity collection is really zooming in on those three ideas for me. I want to make joyful things to support my community and help us all be a little more fortified and resilient. 💙

This memory wire bracelet can be read either way tbh. I’ll have a video of this one as well, to really show you the memory wire in action!

My first zine is officially complete! It’s about being trans, fighting for yourself, and becoming something new. It’s my first zine and I made it using collage techniques, then scanned it and cleaned it up digitally.
