yeah, qq has consistently wanted to die and its not without reason, after all the torture and shit he had been thrown around in, all the people that want to toy with his fragile heart thats already been beaten and broken down just because he's vulnerable that way, he's never been given reprive so the easiest thing to escape it is to die, thats how a lot of that ideation starts and begins to warp worse and worse

then here comes pepito, an egg whos also been through some shit from pepito's pa roier abandoning him after pushing him away, then only abuela foolish coming to pepito's brithday after sending out multiple invites just because of poor timing, pepito still smiles, still lives on, pepito is young still so still hopeful to live

qquackity had nothing to live for, all the reasons he had to live for taunting him in his coma hell dreams, beating him down more and more, he is tired to fight, all of it torn out of him and yet here is pepito still with light in pepito's eyes.

q will stay a while longer, just longer more because pepito is proof he can still fight for something, that he can still live for something, for someone, perhaps a pepito who needs an apa

Sephiroth is making my brain FIZZ this is so fun.

First of all, his voice actor in advent children???

The new remake one is excellent but just doesn't capture that same level of terrifying cultured menace. The smug evenness and it's DEEP wow yeah. So smooth. High key petrifying I don't know who he is but he did an outstanding job. That bit where he asks cloud to 'give him the pleasure of taking it away?' like the way his voice lilted up in casual question like good GRIEF that was hot.

Anyway I have another hc: sephiroth would have made an EXCELLENT scientist like his parents, he's certainly got the intellect and hunger for knowledge, not to mention his ability to do research for days on end XD. Supernova actually using astrophysics equations is absolutely fantastic and makes me think that's what he'd major in.

By that logic, he'd want to be in rocket town with the rocket, and he'd most definitely want to go to space himself if it was the last thing he did (ha).

Do you think he'd tie his hair back like his mum?

Anyway I imagine if he hadn't been a soldier and instead been free to choose his own path he'd have been right there the whole time being a child genius and getting into fights with cid about who gets to be the pilot (Co pilots. Co pilots is how it's supposed to work with normal planes never mind things that breach the atmosphere).

Like I understand the amount of redemption/fix it fics that have him be a merc with cloud or whatever but I feel we're ignoring the possibilities stemming from the fact this man canonically knows modern astrophysics and that is absolutely not something you can inherit via way of ancient inhuman semi deceased life form.

self-indulgent 3zun ABO AU because I like putting JGY into ~situations~

Alpha NMJ, beta LXC, and omega JGY who has been masquerading as a beta in typical ABO trope fashion, except the dramatic omega reveal happens way back when he murders the Nie captain and gets kicked out of Qinghe.

(I really do wonder what an ABO universe would do to them, psychosocially-speaking, considering that their major flaws can be pretty neatly sorted into “stereotypical” ABO roles that can be used to malign them: Nie Mingjue’s saber-induced anger issues and prior jumping to conclusions, Lan Xichen’s tendency to peacekeep with his loved ones and mold himself into a mediator to a fault, and Jin Guangyao’s....... entire existence as, basically, a tiny venomous snake.)

Present day is post-war Jinlintai before anyone I like (read: JYL, JZX) dies, where 3zun are forced to figure (just enough of) their shit out earlier—WAY earlier—and have been in not just a sworn brotherhood but a mate bond for a while now because in a world with synaesthesic scent markers and mating bites, you don’t get to take things like that back...

... At the very beginning of which bond, NMJ, still incensed and affected by Baxia's resentment, basically accepts the relationship on the bad-faith condition that JGY doesn't "pull any of that manipulative omega shit.” Would he say something like that about Nie Huaisang? No, but he’s just reaching for what hurts. When asked to elaborate on what that actually means, he doesn’t actually have anything in mind and thus rifles around in his mental sack of negative omega stereotypes for all of three seconds before clarifying that he’s talking about all that nonsense with baiting people with heats and baby trapping and whatnot.

JGY, the bitter little gremlin that he is, takes this the worst way possible and has since been taking heat suppressant ✨️indefinitely✨️. We all know how that goes. Maybe he runs out, maybe his body gives out, but most likely Jin Guangshan decides that getting JGY knocked up and too busy to politically machinate against him in addition to all the political machinating he’s doing for him is to his benefit, and arranges the botching of the preparation of whatever tea JGY takes to make this happen. Ideally right in time for NMJ and LXC to be at Jinlintai.

Except this isn’t a sexy, “Oh no, I’m a secret omega and I went into heat! My love must now ravish me!” story. Despite his best efforts, everyone already knows JGY is an omega. Despite his best accidental counterefforts, he technically has two mates already. And still, three hours into NMJ and LXC’s visit, when he realizes what is happening, he fucking panics.

Heat brain isn’t fun brain. Heat brain on top of the writhing bag of neurotic rats that runs JGY’s brain is worse. He’s fucking dead, he thinks. NMJ definitely hates omegas other than his brother (has he met any others? JGY can’t remember, which is terrifying, because JGY remembers everything), and only tolerates JGY’s omega-ness because he’s on suppressants. Da-ge is going to be so mad. And er-ge is going to have to mediate again. Unacceptable! Mortifying! Possibly not an issue because he thinks he might be having a heart attack and dying!

He spends two hours wedged into an emergency bolt-hole he built into his quarters while LXC sits outside going ���pspspsps” and NMJ guiltily retrieves increasingly unfeasible amounts of food from the kitchens. It does not end up a sexy heat. It ends up a “hold the hyperventilating omega while he repeatedly forgets how to breathe” heat, because the body is not going to do sexy times while experiencing the most dramatic fight or flight instinct JGY has ever felt. Thanks, chemically-induced hormone imbalance.

(Da-ge turns out to be a good weighted blanket. Compression is good for the anxiety. And guilt turns out good for forcing people to talk things over.)

(And nobody gets pregnant.)

i think one of the reasons i dislike qtntduo as a ship is that wilbur hasn’t been on since literally before the brazilians arrived and everything about qq and elq was always made to be about him. and listen, i know qq’s obsession played a role in that but also qq’s thing about wilbur is so much more complicated that it usually gets portrayed. also having them be romantic and actually involved with each other would be boring sorry

#like the most interesting thing about their dynamic is the tension #also the unbalanced nature of the interest and the unhealthy route of qq’s interest are compelling as character aspects #but not as interesting within a romantic relationship #qq’s whole thing about wilbur is genuinely incredibly interesting. it also has very little actually to do with wilbur as a person #that’s why it’s able to continue so long without his presence #also every time i see a post about how wilbur will meet elq and immediately know he’s not qq im like ok and??? #didn’t literally every other player immediately see that he was acting off as well??? #i think their dynamic is interesting and that wilbur genuinely does give qq something he needs (open acceptance in a way he doesn’t receive #from any of the other players) #but that doesn’t mean i want to see that dynamic turned romantic #and i certainly don’t think it would healthy for qq if it did (if he was still here which he isn’t rn so yk kind of moot) #i hope elq doesn’t view him as anything special at all #i hope wilbur was just a means to an end for him and nothing else #but yeah a large part of my frustration comes from seeing qq moulded and filed and chipped away at to fit into the dynamic #rather than being allowed to be a complicated messy interesting character #idk #quackity #qsmp

i don't understand why i keep seeing posts that are like "oh elquackity didn't remember *x information that someone told qquackity months ago in passing* but qquackity knew so he would've remembered and this is why they're not the same person and elquackity keeps fucking up" because ??? are we forgetting qquackity used to forget things he witnessed/did/said from one stream to the other? how he used to change his mind on things all the time and then acting like he didn't the next time saw him?

i used to constantly see posts joking about how the federation was wiping his memory regularly because it was that bad!! and now suddenly it's all "oh he doesn't know because he's not the same person" and. of course he's not the same person we have established that but what I'm trying to say is. qquackity wouldn't have known either so that's not a good way to prove it, especially if things are presented to him in very vague ways that could mean anything depending on how you want to see it.

it's also why i think he told qmaxo "don't put words into my mouth" when maxo took what elq said during their fight and read it in a way that made it look like he confirmed he worked for the federation, even though that was not what he said. but since the wording was vague enough, it could've been possible for maxo to think that. it's all personal bias lmao

and actually i think it's fine for some more perceptive characters, like baghera cellbit and bad and maxo himself, to be suspicious of elq for acting off, but especially bad knew damn well qq lost track of what he was doing easily and things said to him entered his brain from one ear and left from the other, so imo it's mostly for meta reasons that they think elq is another person and not a brainwashed qq but i could be wrong and that's also why they suspect everything he says even more than they did with qq (because let's not forget. they used to accuse him of working for the federation all the time. but it's only a problem now that he's dangerous and not just someone they can laugh off)

#this is purely a me thing #like. to me qq is so good that what I want is 'more qq' and not so much fanfic of qq #hence my struggles #I need more Yan Wushi and Shen Qiao adventures and shenanigans interspersed with the political shit and one-off side characters lmao.. #I can see why this style of writing isn't for everyone bc it's not very 'constructed' but it does work very well for the real-world #historical setting and like. making it feel like these characters exist in the story vs the story being about / For the characters #like they exist in the setting the setting isn't 'for' them #(this is lowkey directed at some post I saw saying they thought the donghua fixed a 'plot hole' in the novel lmao #and I'm like... where ?? lol) #I think it was about the ring but like... no not really lol like. the ring existed but it didn't have to be a macguffin #in fact it gave Madame Qin a deeper sense of history for it to NOT be so central to the story
