CAOS
Both Prudence blackwood and Ambrose Spellman wanting you
You being a witch
Tumblr media
I would like to think Prudence and Ambrose would already be together
You had been at the school most of your life but they never noticed you
You had some class with Prudence but she never once looked your way
Maybe you were in a different group of friends or you was just shy
They both were the type to be outgoing and live in the moment
Which to you, was just trying to finish the academy in one piece
Never go out and party
Or do the same exact curricula in the magic school
Now this is how the 3 of you met
You had just got done with exams and your friend Elapeth wanted to celebrate. There was a party happening at the school and she wanted you to go with her
You didn’t want to go. Party’s are not your thing
But she convinced you to go, talking about how she was going to be lonely and it was going to be a one-time thing
So you agreed, not thinking you were going to be doing what you did
Elapeth got out an outfit that she knows you was going to look good it. And make you look hot as
At first, you were just watching your friend have fun. Dancing with everyone around her. You stayed at the bar and watch
Dorian saw you, asking if you wanted a drink. At first you said no but the more he was talking about a drink that he thinking you would like. The more you wanted it.
It started with one drink but it was so good that you had about 6 of them
You didn’t know what he up in them but it made you feel good. Made you wanna dance
So you did just that, first dancing with Elapeth and the others around you
Everyone was pretty much on top of each other but you were paying know mind.
Just dance your little heart out
You could feel eyes on you
But like who wouldn’t, you are FINE ASF)
There was someone behind you, holding on to your hips and moving to the music
You put your head back to whoever it was
Surprise, surprise
It was Prudences
She gave you a devil's smile
You never seen her so close before
But the music was moving your body too much to care
She started to whisper in your ear
“I never knew you could dance like this. You even got Ambrose mesmerized”
You looked straight across to see the famous Ambrose
He had a drink in his hand, arm spread out above the couch. Man spreading
The look in his eyes didn’t make you want to look away
You can tell he was looking at your body, prudence was placing her hands
On satan’s life, you never thought this would happen to you
The next song was slow and desirable
You close your eyes for a second and then he is there
Ambrose was in front of you
You were in the middle with them, doing things you never thought would happen to you
Prudence kissing your neck while Ambrose was sucking the soul out of you
( I mean kissing 😏)
And then they switch positions
The whole night it was just the 3
At one point in time, they shared a look
Pulling you away from it all
(Let me know, I will add more details for a different story )
*
You woke up at a house you had never been to before
You looked under the covers to see that all your clothes were missing
You didn’t know what Dorian did you those drinks - you didn’t know if it was a good things or a bad thing
But all of a sudden you could feel someone shifting onto your side, laying an arm across your stomach
You look to see it to be the one and only Ambrose in your right
Your eyes widen out
He was still sound asleep
You look the other way to see Prudence facing the wall to your left
Your first thought was that you had to get it out of there
Slowly, quickly, and quickly as you can, put your clothes on. Walked out to the hallway so you didn’t wake them
And teleported yourself back to the Academy
Taking a shower and looking into the mirror
Hickeys !!! All over
You had to put on a black fitted turtleneck shirt on
You thought that they weren’t going to remember you. That you was just a one night stand
You knew you could
So you walked down the hallways of the school hung out but walked like nothing happened
But heaven you were wrong
Remember the class you have with her now
You walked in and sat in your normal spot, next to Melvin
You were behind the two other weird sisters (Dorcas & Agatha)
Prudence counted a glimpse of you and walked over
Once again you didn’t think largely of it but not until you saw Melvin packing his things and walking to a different place
But you didn’t care, you led on the cold table
But didn’t say a word to you in the lesson
Waking out of the class, it was time for lunch
You sat in your regular seat, you sitting on the outside while Elapeth sat on the inside
Just talking about upcoming words for some classic
Out of nowhere, you had Ambrose on your right side and Prudence on your left
Just like the night before
Now you thought you didn’t get people's attention
YOU DO NOW!!
Prudence moved closer to you
“You thought you were going to get away that easy?” - prudence
“What are you talking about?” - you
“Last night, you made quite that show” - Ambrose
You got up from the table to get away from the eyes
“Where do you think you going little dancer?” - Ambrose
“Away from you both, I don’t know what happened last night but it was a mistake” - you
“Oh no it wasn’t, we had a taste of you. And won’t stop until we can have all of you “ - Ambrose
“You belong to us now. And everyone will know it!” Prudence
“For satan's sake, what are you talking about!”- you
“Look at your neck, arms, back and inner thigh. It says otherwise” - Prudence
You better pray to satan that you are dreaming this all

Warning(s): Unconventional Relationships
Tumblr media
For as long as you could remember, you dreamt of participating in the Lupercalia celebrations. The idea of running beneath the moon with someone and losing yourself in the pleasure that followed sent a shiver down your spine—or did, before you found three witches you couldn’t tear yourself away from, and realized the matching would tie you to a man for the night.
You look down on the preparations with thinly veiled upset. Father Blackwood had forced your hand, all of your hands; you would participate in the Lupercalia celebrations or face strict punishment. His eyes had settled on Prudence when he let those words spill from his lips and you gave in to assuage the fear rolling from her.
Forcing you to participate didn’t mean you would follow the rules, though.
It’s a perfect plan. You’ll play along, circling the young warlocks until you inevitably have to choose one, but that will be as far as it goes. The night would be yours to experience with your three favorite witches with the tricks up your sleeve in play.
Hands wrap around your waist and you lean back. A soft pair of lips kiss your neck.
“What are you thinking?” Dorcas asks curiously.
“Nothing,” You pat the hands around your waist, all too aware of listening ears, “Just taking in the scene.”
“Are you still upset that we can't celebrate together?”
You want to spill your whole plan because Dorcas sounds so sweet, worrying for you even though you know she’ll enjoy tonight no matter what. She has her eyes on a few of the more devious warlocks. Nick Scratch, if you’re being specific, though Sabrina Spellman will fight her every step of the way.
Turning in her arms, you kiss her sweetly. She deserves nothing less for how considerate she’s being of you—how considerate she always is.
“I’m not thrilled about it,” You say honestly, “but I want you to have fun.”
“I don’t think I’ll participate—past the Matching, I mean.”
You raise a brow, “Dorcas, you love warlocks.”
“It will upset you.”
“Sweetheart, I’ll be okay. Your heart will still be mine at the end of the night, won’t it?” You ask.
Dorcas nods so hard you fear for her neck. As if to send the point home, she kisses you, pulling away to press similar kisses on any swath of skin she can see. It makes you laugh, holding tight to her.
Her smile is relaxed and sweet and you know you’ve said the right thing. You haven’t lied—you don’t mind who any of your witches physically engage with, as long as their heart remains with you—but you don’t really intend on Dorcas enjoying whatever warlock she ends up with. It’ll just throw a wrench in your plans if she isn’t in the woods on Lupercalia.
“You’re so good to me.” Dorcas sighs dreamily.
You hum, “Don’t let anyone else know that. It’ll be our little secret.”
She giggles and steals another kiss, before rushing from your arms and back to her room in a whirlwind. You should be preparing too, but you’re more worried about getting everything in place than dolling yourself up.
A flash of color in the corner of your eye makes you turn. Leaning against the bannister, watching you with an inquisitive stare, is Sabrina Spellman. You’re really not in the mood for her dramatics but plaster on a pleasant enough look anyway.
“How are you okay with it?” Sabrina asks.
“Okay with what?” You ask, tilting your head.
Sabrina moves closer and stands at your side, the two of you looking down on the set-up with matching expressions of distaste. One of you does a better job masking it than the other.
“Dorcas spending the night with someone else.”
Ah, you think. You shrug and try to see it through Sabrina’s eyes; it must be odd to go from the image of married perfection to a world where monogamy is an old idea. You can understand the institution of marriage, as your parents were married, but they both engaged in their fair share of witches and warlocks. Being a witch is sin and that’s never been something you saw as an issue.
Looking at Sabrina, you try to take her in, wishing you could read her thoughts. Does the sin and lust bother her? Her aunts raised her, but how much did they really show her of her magical community? Maybe Sabrina’s idealism towards humanity isn’t entirely her own fault.
“It’s just sex,” You shrug, “It’s fun and pleasure, but it isn’t what we have.”
“But Dorcas is yours. They all are, aren’t they? You’re not bothered by someone else having them?” Sabrina prods.
You sigh, “I don’t own anyone, Spellman, that’s the point. We share things. Bodies aren’t sacred things to be hidden away for witches and warlocks, their vessels of lust and greed and pleasure. Why would I ask my girls to deny the very thing we were all made for?”
“You say witches and warlocks don’t consider bodies sacred, but my Father did.”
“Your Father was an anomaly. He had a few points about getting along with mortals, sure. But his views were… are odd for our society.”
Sabrina is the one examining you now. She looks at you like she’s missing something and the answer is in your face. When you give nothing away, she sighs and puts her head in her hand.
Teen angst radiates off of her. Whether it’s a Sabrina thing or humanity thing, it’s annoying, and you put some distance between the two of you. You don’t completely walk away though. Something feels unsaid and you’re in no rush, so you follow her line of sight to none other than Nick Scratch.
You bite back a laugh.
Nick Scratch is an entertaining guy, sure, but you’ve never understood why all the witches fawn over him. You remember a whole host of stories Prudence used to tell you about him when they were going out and he seemed like any other warlock. But Sabrina has latched herself onto him and you feel a kind of empathy for her.
It’s hard when you love someone more than they love you. You remember the feeling before you found your witches. Nobody deserves to feel it, not even Sabrina Spellman, magnet for chaos.
“You were upset when the rules of the Matching were explained to you and now you’re not. Why?” Sabrina says.
“I was upset I couldn’t spend the evening with my witches,” You shrug, “But my enjoyment and theirs doesn’t depend on if we’re together. I just wish we were.”
“Witches are weird.” Sabrina decides.
You laugh and pull back from the bannister, patting her on the shoulder, “Okay, half-witch.”
Sabrina rolls her eyes so hard you can practically feel it, but you continue past her and down the stairs back to your room. Dorcas is nowhere to be found and neither is Prudence, though her things are laid on her bed. Agatha sits at the mirror painting her lips a shade close to black.
You walk over and lay down on her bed, watching her work. Agatha tilts her head when she looks at you.
“You’re not getting ready.” She says.
“I will,” You shrug, “I’m not in any rush.”
“Are you still upset?”
“No, just… disappointed. Warlocks aren’t really my thing, so it cuts the enjoyment.”
Agatha sets down her lipstick and comes to sit next to you. She runs a hand through your hair, looking down with a smile, curious. You try to sit up and kiss her. A hand in the center of your chest stops you, her small smile now a wide grin.
You pout and lay back down, folding your arms over your chest.
“Don’t pout, I just applied this lipstick.”
“You can reapply it.”
She pauses as if thinking it over and weighing the time she has. A small spark of hope sits in your chest and you turn, propping your head up on your hands. Agatha looks gorgeous in white. It’s rare to see the gloomy coven in bright color and you can’t say you mind the change; black is good for any occasion, but white makes them look good enough you forget the occasion.
You’re most excited to catch a glimpse of Prudence. As long as you can remember, she’s wrapped herself in deep blacks and purples, even an occasional red. The only thing you recall being brighter is the cream-colored slip she wears to bed sometimes.
A pair of lips is pressed to your own and you startle before Agatha’s hands on your face soothe you. She takes her time and thoroughly explores your mouth with her own. It’s like being drunk and you feel like you could sway despite sitting down, clasping her arms to remain upright.
It’s different to Dorcas’ quick kisses and Prudence’s teasing ones, Agatha kisses like she’s putting you in a trance. And you almost hate to admit that it works every time.
When you pull back and stare up with glossed eyes, Agatha giggles, and wipes at your mouth. The dark color is spread all across her face and you can only imagine how it looks on you.
“Are you happy now?” Agatha asks.
“Extremely.” You smile.
She shakes her head, but looks just as happy, “You really should start getting ready.”
You open your mouth to offer an excuse.
“She’s right.” Another voice interrupts.
Prudence stands in the doorway, clad in a figure-hugging white dress. It’s longer than either Agatha’s or Dorcas’ with a split up the right side, exposing one of her legs. She looks practically ethereal. Something about the color brings out the glow in her cheeks and makes you swoon.
She walks down the steps and makes her way to your side. When she looks at you, there’s something in her eyes you can’t decipher. But you forget it just as easily when she leans down and kisses you, slowly, but not long enough. She laughs when she pulls away and you try to follow.
“You agreed to participate, darling. It’s time for you to get ready.”
“Why? I won’t get much from Lupercalia.” You challenge.
Prudence’s eyes are knowing and she smirks, “Oh darling, I don’t believe that at all.”
Somehow, she knows. You can’t ask how with Agatha in the room, but she knows, and you know it. You nod and get off of Agatha’s bed to get your things from your chest. Kneeling at the end of the bed, the lock is warm in your hands, a sign your spell is holding tight.
There’s an audible click! When you whisper the incantation under your breath and the lock opens. You sift through your valuables until you find the outfit you chose for the evening. It stands apart from that of your witches, but isn’t different enough that it’ll make you feel alienated. It’s a lovely silver garment that feels like silk in your fingers.
Agatha and Prudence eye it with interest, eyes curious and lustful, but say nothing as they leave the room to let you get ready.
Everything goes according to plan at the Matching; everyone is paired up, including yourself. You luck out with your friend Zander. He’s like a taller, wider Ambrose Spellman, with dark dreads he’s dyed white at the ends. Fortunately for you, he shares your lack of… interest.
You’re careful to go through the motions and not arouse suspicion. The Courting is actually fun for the two of you. You paint one another with the blood and milk but lay under the moon talking. It’s nice, a relief to be near a warlock who isn’t driven by his lust for the festivities of Lupercalia.
Then comes the Hunt.
Your witches look stunning. It takes everything in you to even let them out of your rooms, but you give in, if only because your real plans involve being in the forest together.
Ambrose blows the horn to signal the start and the chase is on. You do your best to keep your eyes on Dorcas and Agatha; you trust that Prudence will appear when the time is right, since she’s managed to catch onto your plans.
You catch Agatha and her match first. The place they’ve chosen isn’t hidden well and before he can lay another kiss on her, you’ve stuck an eldritch root under his nose. His eyes roll back in his head and he loses consciousness.
“Are you going to help me?” You ask Agatha, laying her match gently on the ground.
She’s pouting, “I was having a good time.”
“I had plans for the four of us… but I guess if you’d rather stay with him…”
“No, I’m coming.” Agatha sighs.
You kiss her sweetly, just long enough to assuage any lingering upset.
“I’ll let you have some extra fun with him at Dorian’s tomorrow.” You promise
Her beautiful face splits into a giddy smile and you laugh. Grabbing her hand, you pull her with you through the crowds of still-running matches, ignoring the screaming of a few girls, though it threatens to grate on your nerves.
There’s dozens of girls wrapped in red, but you can’t seem to find the one with red hair. Then you hear it. Somewhere ahead is Dorcas’ voice, declaring something in hushed tones.
You don’t look to see who she’s hanging on before shoving the root beneath his nose too. He drops and you catch Dorcas before she can fall too. She fights your hands and turns, freezing when she sees you and Agatha.
“I see what’s going on here,” Dorcas giggles, “This feels dirty.”
“That’s because it is.” Prudence says.
She’s appeared seemingly out of nowhere and leans against the tree behind you. Her smile is devious. You can’t help the excitement in your chest at everything falling into place.
“Shall we, darling?” Prudence asks you, making Agatha and Dorcas turn to you as well.
With a smile, you flee into the woods, laughing. You hear them laughing and calling behind you. It doesn’t take long before you’re captured and the four of you finally engage in the Lupercalia celebration, mad with desire, beneath a hungry moon.

The thought of Prudence as a meal left a very different image on your mind than what the future promised.
She lies on your bed, legs spread wide, sharp black nails scratching at the base of your neck, coaxing you towards her. Your face buries between her thighs, your lips humming and sucking in tandem to her moans and sighs. A salty syrup coats your tongue, convincing you that you had just tasted the nectar of the Gods.
The future gave you another image, as vivid as the previous, but truer.
You sit on the table surrounded by the Spellmans, the lovely witch family that took you in after the death of yours. You sit with a plate in front of you. It has a cup of rice, a few spoons of legumes, and a block of meat. You wearily touch the meat with your metal fork. It jiggles. This makes a thick, oily liquid spill from some crevices. An atrocious smell hits your nose, convincing you that you had just been served the water of the River Styx.
You have never been fond of the future, much less the truth it held. You’ve come to learn that its “truth” is more than anything but a whisper of a promise, so you never bothered to believe it.
It was hard to not believe it when everything and everyone around you was determined to it. Loyal of it. And you had been charged with the most loyal of positions.
You had stood amongst the other young women, all of you clad in beautiful gowns, elegant and graceful. Although, you had purposefully stood away from Prudence. You refused to look at her eagerness, to feel it pulse from her, around her, engulf you, threatening to infect you with an eagerness of your own. Who in their right mind would be eager to become the main course of the Feast of Feasts? To be crowned the Queen of the Feast?
Prudence, of course.
She will always be eager for whatever bore the title of Queen.
“And, what’s so horrible about that?” This was said with malice, but you saw through it. You saw the hurt that laced Prudence’s tone. You felt it. It’s the same hurt that brought forth your petty remark.
And it’s a week before the coronation. You had not even caught a whiff of her eagerness before you already snapped.
“It’s only horrible when the cost is your life, Prudence.” You coated your tone with the malice of hers. You were never one to back down from a fight. “What use is your rule if you’re dead for it? Did you think about that, Pru? The dead do not rule.”
There was a beat of silence.
“They never have. They never will.”
“That is a lie,” Prudence seethed, “you are well aware that the Dark Lord crowns the witch with hellish rule of the living by her death.”
She would have shouted the next words, should have, but she’s not like that. No, she collected herself. She drew her eyes into slits. She dipped her tongue in the venom that flooded her veins. She stepped forth, leaning towards you, making sure that her words will not be lost in the lowness of her voice. She bared her fangs.
“You are only saying such a thing because you know that my death will rule you most of all.”
It sunk in, slowly. You let the venom flood your own bloodstream, cooling your adrenaline, and, for a brief moment, you wondered if that is the only time you’ll ever feel as part of her, as hers, when her venom mixed with yours.
“Fuck you, Prudence.” This was said with a trembling voice. From the cold? From fear? Most likely a combination, but you didn’t care. You pushed passed her, not letting her catch sight of the tears welling in your eyes.
She scoffed.
You turned with a glare that cut through her. Your tears may have dwindled her into nothing but a smudge, but you knew better. Your glare cut her.
She said nothing while you stormed away.
And she said nothing when you joined her with the rest of the young witches for the ceremony. The silence between you had stretched throughout the whole week, thickening, expanding to the point that one breath would have popped the balloon, or triggered the fuse.
You figured that there would be an explosion, should be, but you forgot how the future holds nothing but a promise.
The young witches held out their candles. The voice of Father Blackwood richocheted across the wood of the walls and the pews. His words blended with the hums and harmonies of the occult choir, ominous, foreboding. The coven joined in the chant of the spell. The future, now present, gave you image after image of the Dark Lord approaching, distorted, warped, the half-man-half-goat creature eyeing his disciples, eyeing his prey, a red flame on one claw, a white one on the other, one flickering with the promise of death, the other of loss.
He lit one candle red.
Prudence’s.
He lit one candle white.
Yours.
And when she broke the silence, hours later at the Spellman’s doorstep, she left you speechless.
“My lovely Handmaiden,” she said, her plum lips curled in a smirk, “your servitude begins.”

Lupercalia // Nicholas Scratch x Male Trans! Witch Reader 1/4

Part 3
Part 4
————————————————————
Lupercalia, a ceremonial holiday that coincides with Valentine’s Day. A lusty pastoral festival started by the Roman witches under the reign of Caligula. Named after the Lupercal, the cave where the twin founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus, were suckled by the She-Wolf. Originally it was instituted as means to purify the city to increase health and fertility. Nowadays, it’s less about fertility and more about, well.....sex. Every year Lupercalia causes much fanfare at the Academy of Unseen Arts. The festival is separated into three parts, The Matching, The Courting, and The Hunt. Now, enough explaining. Let’s get the ceremony started.
You along with the other warlocks and witches are contained in the great hall at the academy. The men are sitting the the chars that are attached to red and white silk ribbons which are also attached to a giant black pole in the middle of the hall. How come you’re not sitting with the other warlocks you ask? Well that’s because you and Nick decided that he will be sitting while you dance with the ribbon sense this is your first year participating in the Lupercalia. Sabrina would have participated with you, but she wanted to spend ‘Valentines Day’ with her boyfriend, in a non-magical way.
While Father Blackwood gives Ambrose his signal to start, he grabs his violin and begins his speech. “Alright fellas, take your places for The Matching!” He shouts as he gets to his post patiently waiting as everyone gets into position. Getting ready you grab the white ribbon that’s places on Nick’s chair as the two of you lovingly gaze at each other’s eyes, soft smiles filled with love and happiness.
Before you could mouth an ‘I love you’ to him, Dorcas creeps behind you as her shoulder bumps into your arm. “Don’t even think about it (Y/N)-“ she says snobbishly “Two years ago Prudence was paired with Nick for Lupercalia. Last year, Agatha was. This year, it’s my turn.” She lifts her pointer finger and thumb and lightly grabs you chin and she finished her statement, she removes her fingers from you as she smirks and walks away to her spot. Ignoring her, you grab your ribbon as Nick looks at her, cringing at her attempts to get with him.
Ambrose continues his speech “Alright, ladies, and gentleman, you know how this goes-“ He pauses and turns to look at you while respectfully saying the word ‘gentleman’ , you send a toothy grin his way for always using correct pronouns to address you. “-When the music stops, take a seat on the warlock closest to you.” Once Ambrose finishes giving out instructions, Prudence ties a royal blue blindfold around his eyes to blindfold him as he lifts his violin. Placing the bow on the strings of the mahogany wooden instrument he starts playing, who would have known how beautifully he could play. He slowly sways his body with the flow of the folk music while the other witches and I begin to dance.
All of us slowly bow, we stand back up and take off. Your inner circle starts twirling clockwise, whilst the outer circle goes counter clockwise. You all gracefully twirl and spin like ballerinas. Your clothes sway behind you as you move alongside the others. The music stops and you see yourself in front of Nick, following the next step you walk over and get ready to sit in his lap. Before you could even wrap your arms around his neck, you get body slammed to the ground as Dorcas takes your spot on Nick’s lap. “Oh sorry, (Y/N).” She says as she runs her hand through Nicks hair.
You slowly get up from the dark tile floor, dust yourself aching body off, and slowly walk around to find an unclaimed warlock noticing Dorcas’ eyes following you as she basks in her victory. Walking over, you sit at in the closest warlock’s lap and tightly wrap your arms around his neck and roll your hips against his crotch whilst he put a possessive grip on your hips as he groans. You lean in as both of you kiss each other with nothing but love and passion. Once both of you part your lips you turn to look at Dorcas just to see her petrified face.
If Nick was with you, then who was she with?
“Wait, then who? What....Melvin?”
“Uh...Nick gave me 100 bucks to wear a glamour. He thought you might try something like this.” Melvin replies to Dorcas making her contort her face in disgust.
—————-Later That Night————
(Reader’s POV)
Nick and I are standing in the middle of the woods with the others from the academy, quietly listening as Ambrose gives more instructions on re-enacting The Courting. Basically each couple goes into the dark creepy woods, disrobe, and anoint themselves while lying underneath the moon. As instructions are being given, Prudence walks around and gives each of us baskets filled with jars.
“The milk and blood are for the purification. The oysters and figs are for fertility and virility. The cherries, on the other hand, are for popping” She lists off as she leans in close to me and seductively says ‘popping’.
Nick and I look at each other, he knows about me transitioning and how uncomfortable I can feel since I haven’t had my bottom surgery yet. He leans in closely and wraps his arm around my waist. “(Y/N), we don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to.” I smile and tell him that we’ll just have to see what happens. I send him a quick smile and turn back to look at Father Blackwood. After giving us the Dark Lord’s blessing, Ambrose blows the horn sending us all into the woods.
After running around for a while, Nick and I settle down underneath a dead weeping willow tree and unload our basket.
“Nervous?” Nick asks with a smug smirk on his face.
“Maybe a little bit” I respond as I continue unloading the blood and oils.
Humming response he questions further. “About what in particular?”
Leaning back on the ground with my arms holding me up I continue our conversation. “About everything. We’ve only been boyfriends for a couple months now, and yet tomorrow, we have to take part in some crazy bacchanal.” Nick chuckles and trying to lighten up the mood. “Well, if it makes you feel any better- “ he states“- I’m terrified”.
“Yeah right, as if Nick!” I say sarcastically “Before you and Sabrina were dating we caught you in the attic having an orgy with her cousin.” Nick let’s loose an exaggerated groan, rolling his eyes, embarrassed that I remembered that day. Every time I saw him at the academy after that, I would always picture him in his boxers making out with Prudence and Ambrose. It was an extremely disturbing image that took a while to get over. “Okay that was different. It’s just-“ He says slowly, trying to form the right words. “-I’ve never been with someone I’ve truly loved. I really love you (y/n), and I really don’t wanna mess things up with you”
Nicks word hit me hard causing me to tear up. I look into his eyes to see if I can see if he’s lying, but I can only see honesty. Hot tears roll down my face as he rests his hand on my cheek, leaning in he brings his lips close to mine making them meet. Suddenly things get pretty heated, our tongues begin fighting each other in a sloppy forceful battle for dominance, Nick easily dominates and his tongue explores my mouth as he pulls me closer to him. I wrap my arm around his neck. I run my hands down and stop at his chest, I gently push him back, breaking the kiss.
Both of us with heavy breaths from lack of air pull back, looking into each other’s eyes and let out a breathy laugh. “Nick, we have to finish the ritual before we get too carried away. Grab the blood, I’ll get the knife.” I hop off his lap and we fetch the items we need to help finish off the night.
So far it’s not as bad as I thought it would be.

Aligned, Chapter 1 (Zelda Spellman x Reader)
Tags + Prompt:
Zelda Spellman x Reader
(possibly Madam Spellman x Reader as well?? This would not be immediate, so we will see)
(there will be NSFW, but each chapter will be tagged separately)
Set Right after the end of Season 3 of CAOS, possible contextual spoilers ahead.
Reader is a young pagan, who covenless, has been practicing magic under the worship in Greendale. Through her times in mediation and contact with the Goddess, Y/N has been mastering the art of “the Sight” making her a seer, with powers of clairvoyance and others, as the Goddess wills it. After direct request of Lilith, she sends you to join the Academy of the Unseen arts, and join a coven where her will and plan may unfold for you.
Chapter 1: So Mote it Be
It had been some time since the pagans had been defeated, and the details of Hell’s management had quieted. After Sabrina’s return, Zelda was happy enough to have some level of normalcy after the array of chaos that had ensued under her rule as Directrix. In all honesty, worshiping Lilith was becoming a whole other avenue of convenience, now that their powers had been re-imagined by the Great Goddess herself. Some believed it to be Hecate, where others enjoyed the inclusiveness of “The Goddess”, or namely, Lilith, which I am sure she didn’t mind. The Goddess had taken many faces, young witches were to learn of the embracing of their own inner Goddess, divine femininity, and what the Directrix and High Priestess referred to as “the Divine self”. This was something that any witch could learn to embody, in engaging the Divine self, it was said to be a source of intimate divine energy, a well of power and trueness to whom, if embraced, one had the capability of being written in history; like those witch ancestors that came before them. Lilith included. The story of her discovering her power, took the refusal to submit to Adam, and her acknowledgement of being his equal. Though this had her cast out of Eden, it resulted in the acknowledgement and the beginning of her harnessing the power of her divine self. There was a power in this new form of worship and study. Once Sabrina had come back, and their powers were restored with new vibrance, and... without the internal conflict and looming will of the Dark Lord over everyone's shoulder, the Academy was bustling with new inspiration from young witches and warlocks alike. Not only was the school blooming with new students, but new branches of study, and faculty as well. Members of the Church of Lilith, were solidifying the young, thriving coven. What had seemed so chaotic before, and what Zelda Spellman couldn’t help but take personally, had now become a beacon of growth, as poised and poignant as their Directrix. New possibilities were budding at what seemed like, every turn.
Today marked the beginning of the Academy’s newest endeavor. The High Priestess was interviewing an inquiring witch for a possible position at the academy. Something, typically arranged upon Ms. Spellman’s inquiry, not vice versa. But at the audacity, Zelda couldn’t help but agree on meeting this ‘Y/N’. Someone with that much gall, could be trouble to the coven, or conversely an extremely valuable asset. The Spellman family, and outside of that, Prudence Blackwood, had made up the boldest members to walk the grounds. Perhaps fresh blood could be what the academy needed to rise up to its full potential, something Miss Spellman found tantalizingly irresistible as a possibility. At that, a firm knock echoed through the doors of the academy. Most who entered had already been members, and the council certainly wouldn’t have knocked. At this resonating echo, the halls of the school were certain to embrace a surge of new energy; at the very least, a wave of fresh gossip regarding whomever was to enter. Ms. Spellman, of course, knew who would be arriving that day, and prepared Ambrose Spellman accordingly, to greet and guide you to her chambers, upon arrival.
As Ambrose opened the large hardwood door, he took a fleeting moment to cock his head and grin pleasantly.
“Ms. Y/N, do come in. The High Priestess has been expecting you.”
You nod simply, noting the young man's polite yet flirtatious quality as you step through the threshold of the large doorway. A sudden whir of images crashes through your mind as both feet have now entered, aligned smoothly on the tile mosaic. You breathe deeply through your nose, taking in the array of premonitions, steadying yourself to prevent any distraction from your newest endeavor.
“Welcome to the Academy of Unseen Arts.”
He hums, turning around to admire the towering statue which lay in the center of the Academy’s main hall. Four women are shown standing, clearly. The Maiden, Mother, and Crone of course, in their traditional positions as marked by many statues. However, this one being customarily different, showing Lilith as its fourth member, honoring who was known as the first and Mother of witches. It seemed to greet and draw the face of whomever enters, in this case being you. Facing you, she kneels below the Mother. Her arms are open, as if to embrace the wisdom of the first imparted knowledge; as the first witch and woman, of humankind. The three faces of the Goddess have a mysterious quality to them, at least by Y/N’s seeing, Lilith’s seems most personable, taking the shape of her young face before she had taken on the Wardwell body. It was as if “The Sight” as you called it, revealed this statue's abilities to show you who was Mother, Maiden, and or the death Crone during a time in which it may be needed, for you alone to see. A thought came to your mind, w wondering if this was the Goddess’s exact intention. You blink hard, before giving a soft smile to admire Lilith. You kneel down on one knee and touch one of Lilith’s hands kindly, before standing again to meet eyes with Ambrose. He felt as if he had just witnessed something quite intimate. He wasn’t sure what had gone through your mind just then, when admiring the statue and woman illicitly. He assumes you had fond ties to the Goddess, and perhaps Lilith herself.
“I presume you enjoy our new statue. The last one didn’t last very long and was incredibly tasteless, but I enjoy this one much better”
He jokes, commenting on the cringey nature of the statue Father Blackwood had posed there temporarily. He gave a shiver before smiling.
“This one definitely has a way of speaking, erm, intimately to some. At the very least it lightens up the room.”
You smile confidently now, more than ever drawn towards the force that had guided you to the Academy in the first place, almost overlooking the awkward comment that left the charming Ambrose’s lips. He touches the back of his neck before speaking again.
“Well, I have no doubt that the Directrix would like to see you immediately, but if you would like I would be more than happy… to give you a tour later”
He turns, before guiding you down the hall, and up the stairs to the High Priestess’s office.
After leading you to the door, Ambrose pauses before you hear the strong, deep voice of Zelda Spellman, who must have known you were standing out front.
“Do come in Ambrose I won’t have you doddling idly.”
At that the door swung open by incantation and he gestures for you to come inside.
“That’ll be all Ambrose.”
She dismisses him curtly before the gentleman quickly evaded, looking as if he was going to bid adieu, but at the Directrix’s look, decided it would be best to just leave. Giving you a boyish smile and quiet nod, he shuts the door behind him. You were greeted by the back of a handsome woman in a sophisticated leather armchair, whom ringlets of smoke encircled her head.
“You may sit down, if you were waiting for an invitation”
She said flatly, before turning her chair to face you. Her fiery red ringlets were framing her shoulders and face. One whom you hadn’t seen before but felt hauntingly familiar with.
 “If you insist, High Priestess”
You retort politely before sitting down with a naturally confident composure, on the black laced love seat across from her and her large dark-wooden desk.
“Thank you for having me, Directrix-”
“Spellman”
She finished the sentence for you, before slipping off a pair of thinly framed glasses. She carefully set down a stack of papers it looked like she had been reading before you entered.
“Tell me, Y/N, what bid you so bold as to inquire to me illicitly for a position at the Academy. Traditionally, one is invited to such a facility as a member of our Coven. To visit, let alone to be employed here to teach the minds of our young Witches, I’d have to say you are the first to inquire in such a bold manner. Indulge me, what talents do you feel are so urgent as to insist upon seeing me?”
You allow her words to hang in the air from her red lips, pulled taut as she awaits your reply. Once she pauses, you set down your purse behind the seat’s clawed foot, not wanting to give her anything less than your undivided attention.
 “Lilith herself, sent me.”
She stiffened. At that, Zelda’s attention was officially caught. Her eyes widened slightly, before she leaned over to relite her cigarette, which at that, had blown out.
“You see, High Priestess, I was a pagan witch long before that group of carnies made their way through Greendale. I had been privately practicing and worshiping the triple Goddess, and had felt a specific draw to Lilith as a young girl. It has always been a relationship to me strange, and intimate in the sense that she was unheard of, it felt like outside of Christianity let alone in a town as small as Greendale. In a repugnant, disgracing manner at that. It felt as though she had reached out towards me, not the contrast.I had learned of my abilities and practices, quietly, in the confidence of the Goddess herself”
Though Zelda didn’t overtly expose it, despite what you revealed, she was impressed with the way you formed your words, and maintained composure during her dogging of you.
“So what you are telling me is that you are a witch, with active magic, might I add, that never had her dark baptism?”
She leaned back in her chair.
“Correct, I never signed my name in the Book of the Beast. I never had any sort of baptism, dark or light, and have lived and learned about my powers through Meditation, and constant contact with Lilith, and the many faces of the Goddess alike.”
At that, you and Zelda Spellman were both covered in goosebumps, as if a chill from another plane had run over the both of you. You couldn’t help but feel Zelda’s eyes leer; but in curiosity, not out of disgust or disrespect, as one might have assumed by her hard exterior. It felt unexpected as an undertone to notice, and it was as if the Directrix was catching a whole other level of your attention.
“As far as my talents Miss Spellman,”
You continue,
“I wield whatever the Goddess wills me to. But once I came across the knowledge that your Coven did not psiphon their powers directly from Lilith, but in another manner, I became fully aware of just how intimate a relationship I had with her.”
At this moment, Zelda didn't know whether to be enraged or if her beffalment had sent waves of fear through her. How did she know anything about her Coven, let alone such intimate interactions? Zelda presumed Lilith would not divulge such things to a stranger, no matter how personally dedicated this young witch was. She was feeling not fear in the sense of needing to run, but in shock at the level of intimacy she seemed to infer having, through communion with Lilith herself. Had this been solely apart of the Order of Hecate, and how much was Lilith intertwined with it? Likely, Zelda had a feeling, more than she even knew, She was exasperated to learn the Goddess would or could bestow such a gift on a covenless witch, without any formal study. That which information so intimate of the Coven, outside of herself, only Sabrina might know. This was all information that was discussed under high caliber of protective magic, and confidence on Lilith’s part.
It was then, Zelda remembered the tension that her and Lilith had had in the Academy’s main Rotunda. Though rooted in sexual tension, she witnessed Lilith’s softness, a side she had never witnessed in the woman. She had been ready to bestow - something, in return for their prayer and dedication to her; but that was a flame quickly dampened by Zelda’s own pride. She had decided openly that the Coven would seek its power elsewhere, at least for that moment.
She had no idea that Lilith herself could activate or have the Goddess unearth the powers in a young witchling. Something now, she could see must have had time to season in the young, astute woman before her. You tucked a curl behind your ear before continuing.
“If I am being forward with you High Priestess, the Goddess has sent me here to bestow upon this Church and Academy, my gift of the Sight. I am a Seer by nature in a sense a bit more forward than Tarot or rune reading”
You let a small smile slip between your words.
“Though card magic is something typically a tool of Seers, the realm of capability, if bestowed, can be quite more expansive than that. The Goddess sent me here, though I am not one to try and assume Lilith’s intentions, to have me join your Coven. If you will it, and become a member of your faculty, so that I may teach your students about the powers of intuition, and the unearthing of powers that do not require spellcraft as you know it. If I am to be so bold, it could also act - possibly… as a reward for your returning dedication to Lilith, and newfound dedication towards the triple Goddess”.
At that Zelda was speechless. With such personal information of the Coven's decisions, and her own acclaimed interactions with Lilith, it could be that she was bluffing. However the likelihood of Lilith sending a gift, a clairvoyant… did seem unpredictable, and in that sense, quite her style. The High Priestess let a few moments pass in silence, taking a drag of her cigarette, and slowly releasing the smoke to curl from her nostrils. Though you didn’t show it, you couldn’t help but admire this woman's beauty. Something about the High Priestess's behavior, though a bit callous, felt endearing to you. Powerful like a mother dragon, and more of an embodiment of the Goddess herself than you believed even the Spellman could recognize.
“So what you are telling me is, is that Lilith herself sent you?”
“Yes”
“And that you experience visions, a sight unseen such as premonitions, and clairvoyance, whilst being a witch, not a mortal”
Zelda felt as though the clarification was imperative, a confidant of the Goddess or not.
“That's part of it, yes”
You stated again, with a bit more diction and gentle clarity, now locking eyes with Zelda.
The Directrix was aware of Sabrina’s mortal friend, Roz, and her gift of ‘the cunning’, but if this were as expansive as you were implying, especially in Zelda’s knowledge of ‘The Old Power’… her mind was racing. It was then in your eyes linking, your gaze transfixed hers, exploring the insides of Zelda’s mind. Though you didn’t invade her thoughts directly, it was then, Zelda became unable to speak. She felt almost like the woman across from her, though beautifully composed in this questioning, was looking beneath her soul with her jade blue eyes.
Zelda felt her breathe become quietly labored, as she pulled another drag from her cigarette, unable to break her gaze from you. It was then that you spoke up, releasing it.
“The darkness in a woman is such that, stripped of our sight, we must feel our way through it - we crawl, we enter our circles of Hell until we sympathize with her sorrow, until we learn for her rage." You spoke tepidly.
If Zelda hadn't been completely enthralled in the unexpectancy that was occurring throughout this conversation, this quote would have left her shaking. This was the last quote Zelda had read this morning, by Segovia Amil. It was often rumored in the old texts that a witch could prophesize and view the reflection of her own thoughts through the readings she happened upon. This was something Zelda had been experimenting with through the sifting of her books of poetry, flipping through and randomly selecting a poem each morning to ponder on for the day. It was something fairly easy to experiment with in poems; and this was the quote that the High Priestess had spent her day examining between her more formal tasks. Perhaps a reflection of her complicated ties with Lilith. Maybe a personal prophecy of her own dwellings in growth, but at the moment, it had been the final shock she had needed to hear from Y/N before making her decision. Rather than questioning what you clearly knew, likely with even more to reveal at a moment's notice, she found  herself finally able to speak, breaking the long drawl of silence.
"For someone with no formal training, our Academy would be honored to have you, as the will from our Goddess dictates. and the will of my own.”
She was not only impressed with the woman in front of her poise and clear skill beyond what she knew to expect, but also the mysterious aura you seem to embody. It felt to her, that the longer you had been sitting there, maintaining a cool, collected composure, the more Zelda herself felt as if her insides would come undone at any moment.
“We would be more than pleased to not only have you become a member of our Coven-"
She readjusted the papers in front of her, attempting to maintain if not regain her composure
"and teach you any formalities of spellcraft as I am sure you will be teaching us. I will go over the formalities of your time here at the Academy, and if you wish. Most professors live here on campus, within the chambers in accordance to your office. This is not a requirement, however highly recommended and a tradition of those who have taught at this school over the centuries it has stood."
She proceeded.
"Ms. Y/N, If I came off as severely questioning may you note it as respectful, as this Academy is my home, and a safe haven for the Witchdom of Greendale. My atonements for questioning the will of our Goddess, who in a moment of mercy and generosity has bestowed us with your gifts. I do hope that you will accept my apology and know you are... an honored addition to our Academy."
Zelda knew if Ambrose had been outside listening, he would have been shocked to hear Zelda apologizing. It was not in her nature to do so. She couldn’t help but wonder if she had done her best to deal with this situation professionally. She was at least confident that she had kept her composure, mostly. When your Jade blue eyes had locked locked hers, it felt as if you had sift through her memories. It was now that you found Zelda’s eyes drifting from yours to your mouth.
“I would be honored High Priestess”.
You seemed to interrupt her thought before she stood up and moved beyond the desk to take your hand. Outstretched, she took yours in both of hers to shake it. At that, there seemed to be a surge of electricity that shot through you at her immediate touch, as the smallest smile showed on Zelda’s lips. Her gorgeous green eyes were observing your fingers for just a moment as she shook our hand. You did not expect her to look so beautiful, but you were now seeing another side of her, and in closer proximity.
“Welcome to our circle Y/N. In the name of the Goddess, Praise Lilith”
“Praise Lilith” you repeated genuinely, as you had so many times before, in confidence.
You could have sworn your heart was racing with her so close to you, just an inch of kindness in her composure. After she released your hand she seemed to return to her neutrality, behind her desk. She lifted the stack of papers that was before her and placed them in a drawer to her right.
“Well, arrangements will be made to have your office and room prepared for you promptly, and you may convene to move in as soon as you’d like. Classes do not fall into session for a short while, and you should have plenty of time to make yourself comfortable”
As you turned to leave, making your way towards the door, you could’ve sworn you felt her eyes rake over you, a heat rising in yourself that you were not expecting. Was this your intuition, or perhaps the sight molding your perception? You turned to give her a soft smile before exiting, and sure enough her eyes moved upwards from your hips to meet yours in adieu before the door shut crisply behind you.
After you left Zelda felt herself pale, and tired. She poured herself a half inch of bourbon, to help her breathe for a moment at what had just happened.
 “Praise Lilith”
She sighed beneath her breath before taking a sip and leaning back in her chair. She felt a reassured faith in the unpredictable Goddess, but had not expected to have her memories probed this afternoon. Not to mention, she found you exquisitely beautiful; and she wasn’t sure what amused her more. Your wit and composure, or just how powerful an inkling of your magic felt to her. It was as if when she touched you, electricity had shot through her entire body, and though she wasn’t sure where it had come from, she was looking forward to having you in the Academy’s walls, and to get to know you further.

Principle Decisions [17/?]
Rating: Explicit
Pairing: Zelda Spellman/Lilith
Summary: “You’re my handmaiden,” Lilith reminded, “Now do your job before I need to properly punish you.”
N.B.: Also posted on AO3. This is pure fantasy, please suspend your disbelief.
It was coming up to Yule, and with the coming weekend, Zelda made a trip to the city with her family, as per tradition, and ended up shopping in stores that Greendale could only dream of having. Around midday, the family parted to do their Christmas shopping for each other, and Zelda found herself drifting towards a lingerie store.
She looked at the familiar lace and silks that she usually wore, and then to the more modern lingerie, she found Lilith was fond of wearing before she noticed the store’s, so-called, boutique section.
The store was a familiar favourite of Zelda, one she was well versed in enough to know her size for mail-delivery order to Greendale. But that didn’t stop her from curiously examining the leather and latex lingerie. She wasn’t sure how she would look in it, but with Yule coming, it seemed an opportunity for her to explore a new set of lingerie.
The saleswoman enquired once if she needed any assistance, and then left her alone. It left Zelda in peace to flick through the sheer material, the bodysuits and under bust corsets, looking for something that she felt inspired by.
Or rather, that she felt Lilith would feel inspired by when she saw it.
Her eyes roamed the store, before settling on a particular set she liked the looked of, and then, finally, happy with her choice, she took the items to the front desk, presented her credit card and purchased it with a smug feeling. A part of her wanted to take it home and dress in the lingerie to take a photo for Lilith––she could only imagine the woman’s expression––before she decided that, no, she didn’t want to imagine her face, she wanted to see it.
The choice was packed away discreetly in tissue paper, and then gently placed into a bag for her.
When she met up with the rest of the family for their long-standing tradition of junk food from the food court, she found their eyes curiously looking to her bags as she sat down at a table to discuss their purchases.
“Ooh,” Hilda commented, as she pointed to the lingerie bag, “That looks fancy, purchase anything for anyone in particular?”
“For myself,” Zelda assured.
“Well, you certainly seem happy. I’m just saying if Mary…or anyone else…has anything to do with it.”
“Ms Wardwell?” Sabrina said, her face scrunching up. “You’re not dating Ms Wardwell, are you?”
“I am not,” Zelda assured, though a pang hit her heart at her niece's expression. “Not that it would be any of your business.”
“Well, she’s just…” Sabrina made an expression. “She seems too…local for you,” Sabrina said. “And you can’t date my Principal, it’d be weird.”
Zelda refrained from commenting, masking her expression as she raised an eyebrow and sipped at her drink. It wasn’t a conversation she wanted to divulge further in, and there was no need. She wasn’t dating Lilith, therefore she didn’t need to be concerned with Sabrina’s opinion.
“Well, Auntie,” Ambrose said. “If you were dating anyone, I’m sure they would be either very fortunate or unfortunate to have you in their life, depending on who the person was. I did note that Mr Putnam Senior was quite smitten the last time we spoke.”
At that, Sabrina’s face brightened, “Are you seeing Theo’s dad?”
Zelda sighed, feeling the familiar arguments rise again. But before she could so much as set the story straight, her entire family had taken her silence to mean that she was, and began throwing a hundred questions at her, enquiring about when it’d occurred, how long it’d been going on and when she was likely to see him again.
“Please,” Zelda cut in, her annoyance rising. “Joe and I aren’t–-“ she tried to argue, but felt her voice, unfortunately, cut off midway through. Due to an ill-timed tickle in her throat, she managed to cover up before it became an issue, but the lapse was enough to cement the idea to her family.
She was now, it seemed, secretly dating Joe Putnam. A headache grew and she held back from saying anything further. There were things to do, gifts to finalise before the end of the day, not to mention that only the day prior, Faustus had begged her to help handle a guest speaker that was coming in for the week before Christmas. Apparently an artist named Marie was doing a guest lecturer for the town on Art and Culture for the local private art gallery.
Apparently, the person who was meant to be helping with the organisation had suddenly quit, and Constance was too deeply wound in stress with the twins to help (so she told him)––as such, it fell on her.
The event was to occur three days before Christmas, which was the day after the alleged orgy was to occur, which meant that Zelda felt the time creeping up faster than she liked, between Christmas preparations, university work and Yule, her week was lined up.
Not to mention that she was still playing catch-up with her own work. Lilith seemed to be just as busy, if not more so with the end of the school term. Teachers were calling in sick, children were acting up, and she seemed to be spending her time running between one crisis or another.
It left her little time for them to see each other, and what they did manage to fit it in, usually involved a quick tumble in the sheets, like she was some secret paramour, before one or both of them were rushing off. Or in some cases, it let them calling each other on the phone.
Though since she’d had that photo taken of herself, Zelda had been feeling bolder, and sending other teasing photos (though none with her face cropped in the image), to Lilith, who turn, had shared similar tantalising photos––though the woman seemed to be well versed in her photos. Zelda felt a competition was beginning to build between them and couldn't help but grow more ambitious.
It meant that Zelda kept her phone close to her at all time, and had the setting set that when it was locked, it was only advised that a new message had come through. The last thing she needed was her family seeing what her messages were.
That wasn’t to say her family hadn’t noticed her newfound interest in her phone, commenting that she was certainly texting more than usual.
And now she had her family harassing her about Joe. “No,” she said, “I have not and will not ever wish to discuss my love life. If I were dating someone, should it become serious, I will agree to divulge the circumstances. As it stands, nothing is happening that any of you should be privy towards.”
“So it’s just sex then,” Ambrose said boldly, and Zelda turned her face to him. “It’s not like we haven’t noticed your increasingly high neckline dresses––you seem to be rather fond of them of late.”
“Enough,” she said, without humour. He turned away, sharing a grin with Sabrina, but neither of the children nor Hilda said anything, leaving a well-deserved silence to fall between them.
And with that, her phone buzzed.
Zelda pulled it out, watching as Sabrina’s eyes tried to sneakily catch a look at the screen as well, before realising she couldn’t see anything.
It was a message from Lilith, but it would have to wait until she was in a more private setting.
She set the phone back into her bag and watched as Sabrina’s eyebrows rose, catching onto the fact that Zelda was trying to be discreet.“Are you all set for your trip tomorrow?” She asked Sabrina, hoping to divert her attention.
“I am. I’ve got everything on the list Roz sent, and anything else I’ll sort out when I’m there. No biggie.”
At that Zelda, refrained from making a comment. Her niece was going to snow and she doubted that it was, indeed, a ‘no biggie’, but Sabrina was old enough that she didn’t need her Aunt packing her bags for her. Should Sabrina forget anything, she was certain that Ms Walker or her parents would be more than willing to help fix the situation.
“Well, then perhaps we should head back?” Zelda said, checking her phone. She was meant to meet Faustus in a few hours to meet the guest speaker. “Was there anything else that anyone needed?”
Thankfully, there wasn’t and Zelda was able to have the family return to the car and drive home, giving her enough time to change into a fresh pair of stockings and heels, switching to her woollen coat, given that she was likely to be meeting Marie in one of the main lecture halls, notorious for never having heating.
At the university, she headed to Faustus’ office. Murmuring came from behind it, and for a moment she considered trying to listen in, before deciding that it wasn’t her business. Knocking on the door, she listened as a sudden silence fell before a shuffling occurred. And then the door was opened and Zelda was greeted to… ”Prudence?”
“Professor Spellman,” she greeted, her face tight as she gave a nod, her eyes looking down at the ground. “Faust––err, Professor Blackwood had asked me to help out with the guest lecturer,” she said before she stepped aside and allowed entrance into the room.
There was a strange tension as Zelda stepped in, and Zelda found the familiar concern rise in her as she thought of Constance Blackwood, at home with the twins, uncertain of what her husband was getting up to with his increasingly late nights.
Sweeping her eyes from Prudence to Faustus, she gave a disapproving look before masking it. “Marie’s meant to meet us in the central hall?” she asked.
“Mm, she’s running a bit late, however. Called to advise she’ll only be a few minutes or so, but there’s no reason to rush.”
Zelda nodded. “So what do you need from me?”
“Honestly,” Faustus sighed and settled back. “I need you to handle the event its self. I have a conflicting arrangement and will be otherwise unavailable. I need you and Prudence to speak to the artist and…find out what she needs to run the lecture. Advertising has been done, and as I understand the social media event is expecting a few dozen occupants.”
Zelda wasn’t surprised. She’d looked up the artist’s work and noted that it would definitely appeal to a wide audience range than some of the other artist guest lecturers they’d had in the past.
“Why is she doing it here and not at the gallery?”
“I don’t know,” Faustus admitted. “Numbers, I suspect. Or it’s tied into one of the function’s the university is doing,” he sighed and shook his head before looking up at Zelda. “I’m trusting you to handle this. If you need anything, let me know.”
Zelda’s eyes narrowed, curious as to the unusual sloppiness but nodded her head. “Is there anything else?”
“No, no. Oh, ah, catering. They’re organised but you’ll need to check with them tomorrow, and ensure they’ve got the correct date and time.”
“Send me an email with their details.”
Faustus nodded, and then she watched as he sat at his desk and made a gesture as if to dismiss them. Zelda’s eyebrow quirked, turning and looking at Prudence to see if she thought his behaviour was strange but noted that the young woman was still staring at the ground. Her eyes starring far away as if she was upset or…ashamed.
Anger built in Zelda and she gave a sharp look at Faustus before turning on her heel and exiting the room. If he’d done something, anything to hurt Prudence, she would ensure his career was over.
Heels clicking down the hall, she heard Prudence following her, and then once she was certain they were far enough away, she pulled to a stop, hands on her hips as she stared at Prudence’s crestfallen, distant expression.
“What did he do?”
“What?” Prudence lifted her eyes and stared at her, and a familiar, indignant expression rose on her face as the girl tried to very quickly hide her emotions behind a fragile mask. “He hasn’t done anything. It was a misunderstanding and––“
“Are you sleeping with him?”
Prudence’s face turned to disgust, paling, “No!” she yelped. “No, he’s…it’s not that. It’s a misunderstanding.”
Zelda’s eyes narrowed. She wasn’t sure if she trusted the entirety of the situation, but Prudence’s reaction seemed genuine at least. “Did he try anything?”
“No.” Prudence stood awkwardly, before she turned, “There’s nothing to worry about, and it’s none of your business anyway,” she said, her tone harsh.
“I beg your pardon?”
There, at least, Prudence looked embarrassed. “I just meant that it’s a private matter, Professor Spellman. I assure you that if anything went against the University’s code, i would not be afraid to go to the Dean in regards to it.”
Zelda drew in a breath and then nodded. It wasn’t her mess to deal with. Although she was curious about whatever it was, she at least believed from Prudence’s disgust that it wasn’t an affair, and therefore was not something she was morally obliged to inform Constance of. God forbid. The woman was going to drive herself crazy digging for the answers, but she could provide the comfort of ensuring that it wasn’t the worst thing possible.
“Do you know much about Marie?” Zelda asked, moving the topic as they continued down the halls, towards the central hall.
“I did some research. I know she original in Haiti and has been living in New Orleans for the last few years. Her art is…outstanding,” Prudence advised.
Zelda nodded, agreeing. Marie had won a few awards, been provided with a few artist residencies across the country and was overall, living quite comfortable as a full-time artist. Her last work was raw and powerful, depicting immigration in a turmoil climate, and controversy had arisen as a result against the art museum hosting it, though Zelda suspected that ended up working in their favour.
Her most recent works, however, seemed to be on the study of the human body. Mixed media capturing the body in different dynamic actions––athletes naked as they ran, ballet dancers in the middle of a pirouette, even bodybuilders lifting weights. It was stunning, with great detail spent in the muscles and expressions, making them look as if they may leap out of their frame.
Prudence spoke briefly about the history she learned and advised on the most recent TEDx talk the woman had done about the importance of art in culture.
There was an infatuation in the way Prudence spoke that softened at Zelda. She hadn’t expected the girl to be a patron of the arts, but she supposed people didn’t necessarily expect the same thing of herself, either.
As they stepped into the Hall, Prudence’s previous mood had almost entirely evaporated into her excitement at meeting Marie, and then it softened as she noticed a figure.
At the hall doors, a woman stood, dressed in a vibrant shade of yellow and orange. As she turned on heel to their coming approach, a warm smile was brought to her lips. “Ms Spellman?” she enquired and Zelda noted the accent. “Faustus mentioned that you and a…Prudence, I believe, would be greeting me?” her eyes flicked between them.
“Good evening. Yes, Faustus asked me to take over for him and ensure that you had everything you needed. But you can call me Zelda.”
“Marie,” the woman said, reaching out her hand. When Zelda took it, Marie stepped closer and kissed her on both cheeks before stepping back before Zelda had a chance to respond.
The woman was…quite beautiful, and under different circumstances, she may have even considered attempting to seduce the woman. But they were in a professional setting and Zelda was…still holding her hand.
She let go.
Lilith had enquired if they were open and she still hadn’t come back to respond to that. In fact, she wasn’t sure where she stood with it.
Clearing her throat, Zelda pushed the blush rising to her cheeks and directed Marie into the central hall. She pointed out where key things were––such as the switchboard, where the lights were kept, where the emergency exits were in case of an incident, as well as the projector on the board.
Thankfully, Marie was familiar with the type of system and confirmed she was well aware of setting her computer up to it, but she still took the time to walk around the hall, getting a feel of the seats and the stairs between the rows.
She stood at the very top, in the back corner and then turned. “Can you hear me from here?” Marie asked.
“Quite clearly,” Zelda responded.
Marie nodded and walked down the stairs, smoothing out her dress before she came to stand before them. “Well, the space is lovely,” Marie mentioned. “The only thing I’ll need is time before it starts to set up.”
“Shouldn’t be an issue,” Zelda agreed. “Catering has been organised, and the post-event mixer will be occurring adjacent to this hall so people aren’t thinking about food,” Zelda said, as she pointed through the doors to where the opposing classroom was. “Outside of that, were there any questions?”
“Will you be attending the event?”
“I will,” she confirmed.
Marie smiled, and it was unmistakably flirtatious. Zelda heard her murmur something underneath her breath, but didn’t quite catch what was said. Given that there were little else to do, Zelda provided herself and Prudence’s contact details, should she think of anything, and then politely lead Marie to where her car was parked.
When Marie left, kissing Prudence’s cheek before twice kissing hers again, Zelda found herself thinking over again Lilith’s enquiry to their status. “She was into you,” Prudence advised. “Overtly.”
“I noticed,” Zelda commented.
“She seems your type. You should…go out for coffee.”
Zelda's eyes turned to the girl before she shook her head. “I don’t have time to date.”
“Who said anything about dating? You have her number now. Just give her a text and invite her out for a drink.”
Zelda ignored the comment. For one, her day tomorrow was booked for herself to get ready for the so-called orgy, as well as drop Sabrina off as the Walkers, and for another, she wasn’t sure how she felt about dating anyone at the moment.
Currently, her needs were being met. Marie was fascinating and stunningly beautiful, and if circumstances were different, she may have considered inviting the woman to a have a drink near the accommodation she was staying at. But at this moment, there was nothing else she required, aside from the desire to see the woman naked.
But she wasn’t going to be upset if she didn’t.
The next day, she dropped Sabrina off at the Walkers and then spent the day grooming herself in preparation of the following evening. She enjoyed a nice meal with Ambrose and Hilda, informing them that she would be busy tomorrow and not to expect her home (their shared look did not go unnoticed) and then went to bed humming, thinking of the evening.
Zelda had attended two, so-called orgies in her early years of sexual exploration. One had been an impromptu organisation filled with wine, marijuana and had left her feeling like she’d experienced the height of a bacchanal evening. Whilst the other had been an organised event during her Europe travels.
Neither of them had been bad experiences, and she certainly had enjoyed indulging them, but both had involved copious amounts of alcohol and one drug or another.
Although wine was meant to be present, Lilith had advised her that intoxication was not permitted.
The following day, she dressed in the new, purchased lingerie, and did her hair and make-up before dressing in an outfit she’d chosen the day before––she looked over half a dozen different clothes, moving from dresses to pants to skirt, before finally settling on an outfit she deemed classy, but easy enough to take off.
And then she was pulling on her coat and taking her handbag with her.
“Night, Auntie,” Ambrose called from the front porch with a snicker, “Don’t do anything I wouldn’t.”
Zelda threw him a half-hearted glare before climbing into her car. The plan was to drive to Lilith’s, and help her with any last minute prep, before Lilith was to take her to her other apartment in the warehouse district, with where it was being hosted.
Given that Lilith was the hostess, they would need to be there early, allowing Zelda to settle any nerves she may have before it began. She wasn’t entirely sure was an organised orgy looked like when it was done by someone whose experience was as evident as Lilith’s, but Zelda was intrigued, nonetheless.
No, that was underplaying it, she was entirely aroused by it and had been fantasying about it over the last week, whilst also trying to push her feelings down and not have her hope raise too high.
However, when she arrived at Lilith’s house, the woman greeted her fresh out of the shower, in her dressing robe. She wasn’t ready.
“Are you planning on arriving naked?” she asked––because it wasn’t so out of the realm of possibilities.
“Oh no, you’re my handmaiden for the evening. You’re going to dress me.”
Zelda’s brow rose and watched as Lilith’s in turn did the same thing before she laughed, taking her hand and leading her upstairs. Thrill ran through Zelda as she was lead to the bedroom and felt the anticipation of the evening wash over her.
Lilith’s outfit was placed on the bed and Zelda’s eyes drew over it curiously before Lilith smirked at her. “Have to look the part,” she explained, before taking a deep breath and smiling fondly at the clothes. Lilith then removed her towel and stood in the bedroom naked as she picked up her riding crop.
Zelda didn’t need to ask what that was for. She knew very well.
“Here,” Lilith said, handing her a bottle. “This needs to lubricate me with where all of the clothes are going.”
Zelda took the bottle in grip and then looked it over. Setting it aside, she removed her jacket and then took a butterfly clip from Lilith’s dresser, before winding the woman’s hair up, off her neck, before she placed the clip in. “Good girl,” Lilith noted, “Some people remember that step too late.”
“Well, some people aren’t as smart as me.” The riding crop struck, low against her ass and she hissed into it, grinning. She’d expected it and still, the arousal flushed through her. “Doesn’t mean I’m not wrong,” she teased, before uncapping the bottle and pouring the liquid into her hand. She walked around Lilith, watching the woman stand proudly before her.
Zelda glanced to the items of clothes, noting where each one should go.
The question was, where to begin. She went for the arm first, draw from the high bicep and rolling her hands over the skin and down the forearm to the fingers. She massaged the area, rubbing it in and watched as Lilith’s face turned to admiration. “Are you enjoying yourself?” Zelda asked.
“Watching you get me well and truly lubricated for this evening? Oh yes, I enjoy it immensely.”
She went to the other arm next, doing the same. She could feel the muscles in Lilith’s arm, down her forearm, and was painfully reminded how easy those arms could hoist her up onto a surface.
“Are you excited about this evening?” Lilith asked. Her voice was careful, masked the way she often spoke when she was playing as her Queen.
“I am,” she confirmed. “Very excited. Did you want to see for yourself?”
Lilith drew in a breath and then seemed to remember that her hands were lubricated.
Zelda worked down the body, drawing it over Lilith’s neck, down her back, and then over her chest. There, she took time to ensure the breasts were well lubricated, rolling Lilith’s nipples in her fingers and watching as the woman gasped pressing onto her toes. There, Zelda couldn’t help self. She played, rolling the nipples between her fingers before splaying her hands over the breasts and then back.
“Is this right?” Zelda asked, teasing as she focused her attention on pinching them harder.
“Quite,” Lilith agreed and then her eyes fluttered closed before Zelda’s hands moved down, underneath her breast to her ribs and felt as Lilith’s breath drew in and out, her eyes opening to look at Zelda. “Careful,” she said, “We’re running low on time.”
“Can’t have that,” she said, before dropping to her knees and began working her way up. Over the foot, carefully drawing up her ankle, her calves. She was so close to Lilith that she could lean in if she wanted to, draw her mouth too where the sex was and press the flat of her tongue to her––
Smack. She hissed, feeling the crop strike her back. Looking up, she stared at Lilith’s unimpressed look. “Time,” Lilith reminded, though there was a heavy exhale to her breath, “Or I’ll have you carrying my wall clock with you while we’re at the orgy. And then I can fuck you while you have to hold onto the great, big round thing, ensuring you didn’t let it go. Would you like that?”
Zelda scoffed, “No.” Smack. She winced. “No, my Queen.”
“Good girl, back to work then.”
Zelda drew up the other leg and then paused, uncertain. She looked up at Lilith and watched as the woman quirked an eyebrow at her. “Yes?”
“Do I…lubricate all of the areas the items are touching?”
She watched Lilith’s face colour. It was well known to both of them that Zelda had not so much as touched Lilith’s sex––if her first experience was to be placing lubricate there, it was something Zelda found herself entirely teased by.
Lilith’s chest rose and fell, and there was a certain desire there, considering. Whether it was because Zelda was on her knees, looking up as she asked, or if it was because the very idea of Zelda drawing her fingers between her folds was enough to cause a heated desire was debatable. Zelda knew what she hoped for––but whether that was true was another thing entirely.
If it were permitted, it would be gentle, Zelda assured herself. But it wouldn’t be sex. If she was going to have sex with Lilith, she wanted to take her time to ensure they both enjoyed it.
“No,” Lilith said, before smirking, “But you should do my ass at the very least.”
Zelda rose, moving to stand behind her. She was tempted to be entirely naughty and spank Lilith’s bare ass, but knew that would likely end up with her undressed and spread out with Lilith fucking her mercilessly––not a bad thing, but as Lilith kept reminding her, they were time-pressed.
She instead placed the lubricant on, over the ass and trying not to think about how much she wanted to fuck Lilith. Lubricating her, and then dressing her was starting to make her feel like she was punished for something she wasn’t aware of.
She stepped back and admired her work, “Is there an order I should be placing these on in?”
“You’re a clever girl. I’m sure you can work out what needs to go over the top of what.”
Zelda gave her a look before she picked through the items. An underbust corset with a half-dozen buckles on the front. Underwear, stockings, garter belt, gloves––all latex, all stunning.
Zelda touched over the gloves, feeling a reaction awake in her. She couldn't wait to feel those gloves on her.
She yelped as the riding crop smacked over her ass before she turned around and looked to Lilith. Her queen stood tall, face in a familiar unimpressed looked. “Time,” she reminded.
Zelda hummed and chose the underwear first. She went to hand them to Lilith and then felt the crop strike over the back of the hand, hard enough to sting and leave a red mark.
“You’re my handmaiden,” Lilith reminded, “Now do your job before I need to properly punish you.”
Zelda closed her eyes, drinking in that thought as she felt it slip right through her. “Of course, my queen,” she said, and then she was getting on her knees and watching as Lilith slid one leg in, and then the other. Zelda pulled the underwear up, onto the woman’s hips and ensure it sat flush, her eyes looking up at Lilith.
The woman smirked down, fingering the riding crop and Zelda swallowed and looked away. They’d barely done anything and already she was shivering with excitement.
Next was the garter belt. Much easier as it slid around the waist, the ties hanging loosely to connect to the latex stockings. The brassier, which did up at the front, allowing Zelda to carefully ensure the breasts sat correctly. Lilith grinned at her and Zelda stepped back, feeling her body warm.
And then the corset.
“How tight?” she asked.
“Pull until I tell you to stop.”
She sat it in place, doing up the buckles at the front, and then moved to behind Lilith where she tugged at the ties. Lilith didn’t say anything, so she tugged tighter, and then tighter again. “There,” she said, and Zelda tied it off (familiar with how to create a knot that would hold firm but easily be able to be tugged undone later).
And then Lilith was sitting down at her dresser and Zelda was taking the stockings in hand. She slid them slowly up Lilith’s leg, rolling them all the way up her thigh before she connected them to the garter belt, doing the same with the other leg. And then her fingers were running up the leg, smoothing the stocking until they sat neatly.
She looked up at Lilith there, feeling the excitement burn through her. She wanted to touch her, to draw her fingers against the seam of her underwear, but as her hands slid up Lilith’s thigh, to where her skin was void of stockings, she felt Lilith’s hands grab hers. “Not yet, you still have work to do.”
Zelda drew in a deep breath, biting back a comment and rose to her feet, taking the gloves.
It was more difficult than the stockings, but she worked them slowly, rolling them and then the other. Lilith stretched her fingers in them, fixing them before she did the same with her brassier, the corset, the stockings, smoothing creases, and then she pointed to the dresser, where all of the hair and make-up was laid out.
Ah, Zelda realised. She was to do that next.
She took the tools of the trade, doing half of Lilith’s hair first, before clipping it away, as she then moved to doing her make-up, taking time to do the basics before she enquired as to what Lilith actually wanted. Lilith’s mouth parted as Zelda straddled her lap, holding her chin as she drew the lipstick on. And then she was fixing a line with her nail, remembering intimately when the situation had been reversed in the back of Lilith’s car.
Lilith’s eyes looked at her, and then mouth tugged into a smile. “You’re thinking about me fucking you in the back of my car.”
“I am.”
“It’ll ruin my make-up so you’ll have to wait.”
Zelda capped the lipstick, rocking her hips. She felt the seam of her underwer drag as she did it and then Lilith’s eyes were on hers, pupils dilated. “Careful,” Lilith husked. “You’ll give me all sorts of ideas.”
“And just what ideas are you have?” Zelda asked.
“Ones that will make us late.”
Zelda laughed before she reached the dresser and picked up at the make-up spray and held it up. Lilith shut her eyes obediently and with two sprays, Zelda was setting it back, and grabbing the hairspray.
She could feel Lilith’s hand holding her hips steady as if it would stop her from rocking against her lap. But Zelda pretended not to notice, as she sprayed her hair and then pulled out the clips one-by-one, combing her fingers through the hair so it fell in soft, heavy curls around her face.
And then, she rocked over the thigh, purposefully grinding down on it before she was climbing off Lilith lap and standing in appreciation of her work.
Lilith looked good. Really good.
So good that Zelda wanted to get fucked hard by her in front of a mirror.
She watched as Lilith rose to her feet, and then walked over to her wardrobe, pulling out a knee-length trench coat that she did up and then cinched the waist, all the while as Zelda watched, feeling her heartbeat.
All she could think about now was Lilith turning up to her office in nothing but the trench coat. It'd be late at night, and Zelda would be helpless against her seduction attempts once the jacket was undone and removed.
“I have a present for you,” Lilith said. “For tonight.”
“Was I meant to bring something as well?” she asked.
“Oh, don’t worry, this is as much for me as it is for you.”
She watched as Lilith stepped to the dresser, and then opened a drawer, pulling out a wrapped box. It was reasonably sized, but there was a distinct jewellery look about it.
Zelda’s eyes went to it, her fascination increasing. “I was joking about the gold necklace.”
“It’s not a gold necklace,” Lilith assured. “Or a pearl one for that matter.”
Zelda undid the ribbon, pulling open the wrapping paper carefully before she pulled out the velvet box. It was certainly jewellery of some kind, and her interest was only further piqued as she opened up the box.
There, sitting on the cushion, was a collar. It had a gold embellished loop on the front, around a thick, leather choker, though Zelda noticed that it had a soft cushioning on the other side, presumably to prevent it from cutting the skin.
Lilith stepped behind her, pressing against her back. She drew a hand down Zelda’s arm to where her fingers were touching over the collar. “We can place all sorts of attachments here,” she said, her index finger tracing over the loop. “Nipple clamps, a leash, or even attach you to some lovely furniture.”
Zelda hummed in agreement, she was already imaging the clamps attaching to them, and how’d they’d pull if Lilith tugged her by the collar.
“Or I could just tug on the loop so I can remind you of who you belong to.”
“Yours, I presume?”
“Entirely,” Lilith breathed and Zelda felt the shiver run down her spine. Her eyes closed as she felt that thought drift over her wonderfully.
“Do you like it?” Lilith asked, and her breath was warm against her neck. Zelda could feel her wanting to kiss her, ruin her lipstick and leave her mark.
The collar was beautiful. But more importantly, Zelda knew it was a symbol of the connection Lilith was trying to share with her. Of their relationship status––and going by the detail of it, the thought placed into it––Zelda suspected that she was downplaying her intentions in case Zelda rejected it, and by proxy, her.
She turned her face to look at Lilith, “I love it,” she said with genuine adoration, feeling her heart flutter as she drew back down and touched at the material, tracing her fingers over where Lilith had touched. “Will you place it on me?”
Lilith’s shoulders seemed to ease as she took the collar from its box. And then, Zelda watched as in the mirror, Lilith drew her hair back, before placing the collar around her throat, buckling it up at the back.
It was…terrible erotic and Zelda felt her thighs press together, as she looked over the collar.
She touched it, turning her head to admire how it looked in the mirror––there was no mistaking its intent as a kink collar, but it wasn’t so gaudy it was impractical, nor did it resemble a dog collar as she’d seen on the internet.
It was beautiful.
Lilith’s hand ran through her hair, combing the back so it fell over the collar and Zelda swallowed, looking into her eyes as she did it. What she wanted was to ask was for Lilith to fuck her, right there, but she knew she wouldn’t allow either of them to mess up their hair or make-up.
But god, she wanted to fuck her.
Lilith smirked at her. “Just a quickie,” she whispered. “Since you look so magnificent.”
Zelda stood up and then, Lilith was stepping behind her, head on her shoulder as she snaked one hand up Zelda’s body, over her clavicle, the collar and then over her jaw as she took it in grip and tugged Zelda’s chin up high, the latex fingers wrapping around her throat, just above the collar.
Both of them watched in the dresser’s mirror as Lilith then slid her other hand down, under the band of her trousers, down to the lingerie underneath, touching over the material.
“These feel new,” Lilith whispered.
“You’ll have to wait,” Zelda response.
“Will I, now?” and then her fingers were drawing over her sex. “My, my Zelda Spellman, they don’t have a crotch in them,” she noted as her smiled turned wicked. “I can’t wait to see how you look, bent over the first surface I can find.”
Lilith’s fingers were stroking over her firmly and Zelda’s legs were already shaking, but she was held firm in her gloved hands and there was nowhere else Zelda wanted to be.
“I mean it,” Lilith said, “You look magnificent Zelda.”
“As do you,” she responded. “A terrifying goddess.”
“Mm, and what does that make you? My dear little priestess?”
“High Priestess,” she corrected, “I’ll be leading the worship at your altar.”
“Yes, you will. Now, let's see what devotion I can summon from you,” she said before her fingers scissored inside of her, stretching her.
Zelda whimpered at the touch and caught Lilith smirking in the mirror. Her eyes were entirely focused on her face, watching her slowly come undone by her hands.
If Lilith was a terrifying goddess, then Zelda was as her mercy, caught in her grasp. There was nowhere else she wanted to be as she allowed herself to be fucked, watching herself with a fascination as Lilith coaxed her without mercy until her eyes were squeezing shut, and her whimpers had turned to gasps.
“Lilith,” she gasped.
“Try again.”
Zelda whined, and then drew in a breath, meeting the woman’s piercing stare. “My Queen, please––“
“Please…what?”
“Please, may I?”
Lilith laughed, low and soft in her ear, “You may.”
And her speed increased deliciously and Zelda’s body tensed, pressing against Lilith on shaking legs as she came. She opened her eyes, gasping to watch herself jerk in Lilith’s hands, and then her queen was smirking as she drew her hands out of her pants and lifted them to Zelda’s lips.
“Clean-up your mess,” she ordered.
Zelda’s mouth parted, and then three fingers were sliding across her tongue as Zelda sucked on them obscenely, her tongue rolling over them, sucking down on the digits. Lilith’s mouth parted, her brow pressing in a reaction that looked as though she were close to climax herself before her fingers were sliding out.
“Good girl,” she said, though her throat was heavy with arousal as she stepped away.
Zelda drew in a breath, feeling the hit of endorphins wash over her as she looked to the mirror and fixed her make-up.
Behind her, she watched as Lilith cleaned her hand before placing smirking at her, a soft expression on her face that made Zelda chest warm. She was still nervous about tonight, but the anxiety of it eased.
“Do you know what you want to engage in?” Lilith asked.
“I don’t even know what to expect.”
Lilith nodded. “There’ll be group sex, but you don’t have to participate. There’s usually a few impact play sessions running, as well as some spectator events and bondage.”
“Spectator events?”
“Mm, the night usually kicks off with a show. If you like…it can be us. We’ll do a scene together and then, if you’re interested, I can fuck you in front of the spectators. Or, you can have someone else take the place of the submissive if you’d prefer to spectate.”
Zelda’s expression tugged before she understood what Lilith meant, “You need to kick off the event because you’re hosting.”
“I don’t have to, but it is expected. But it doesn’t have to be sex. It can just be a scene that gets everyone interested. Even a good bondage suspension would do it.” She looked at Zelda and then tilted her head. “If you don’t wish to go, you don’t have to. And if you don't wish to be a part of the ceremony, I won't ask it of you. I want you to enjoy yourself, Zelda. That takes precedence over everything else.”
Zelda shook her head. “No,” she said, “Don’t do it with someone else. If you’re going fuck anyone in front of spectators it’s going to me.”
Lilith smiled, looking away as she seemed to hold back a statement.
“What?” Zelda snapped.
“Usually I don’t like jealousy, but green’s a nice colour on you,” Lilith said, and then she smirked at her. “I’ll fuck you if that’s what you want, Zelda. But it’s going to a proper fucking.”
“I expect nothing less.”
“No, I suppose you don’t.”

You broken me
Angst
Summary: PB and AS had keep you a secret from the world. You had enough and broke up with them. Now they wish they can turn back time
prudence blackwood x ex lover x ambrose spellman
PSA- didn’t proofread it was too sad
Tumblr media
There were days at the academy where you felt alone. It’s been 6 months now that you have been dating the witch and warlock and they still didn’t want to make it public. They would always hands on each other and or kiss and you would sit right there acting as if you had nothing to do with it.
At first, when they told you that they wanted to keep quiet, you didn’t think much about it. But the the longer it went on, you just felt like their dirty little secret. It was not fair to you. They would be all over each other in front of you in FRONT of other people. But if someone was to come up to you asking you, you would end up with the slice treatment from Prudence and Ambrose would just look disappointed. It wasn’t far.
The two nights before the Lupercalia you were all in the Ambrose bed you in the middle. After getting done devils tango. You got up grabbed the first shift to put on and used the bathroom. Washing your hands and waking back out. The two were whispering to each other.
“What are you two talking about over there” You walked back in and sat at the end of the bed. They both have a look on their face, and you could make out the look.
Ambrose was the first to break the moment of silence. “Uh was we just talking about the Lupercalia” he started with. “So what about it?” You asked “Well I know we talked about all 3 of us doing it together” he kept talking about it but it made you feel uneasy. “And we were hoping you can sit this one out” Ambrose finished out. “What do you mean? A month ago you promised we would”
You can feel the tears slowly falling out. This isn’t the first time they broke a promise. Prudence had crowded into your side, putting her hand on your shoulder. “ I know we did but” “But what Prudence? You guys always do this to me” You kept your voice low and steady. Since being with them, you have practiced talking while crying. Somehow it would always be you doing the crying because of them.
“Babe if you can just listen to our reasoning, you will understand” Ambrose came closer to you two but that’s not what you want. You started to get up slowly and put on your clothes. “Hey, hey now. Where do you think you’re doing” Prudence didn’t look like it but the sound of her voice panicked. “I thought we were having a sleepover?”
“You two can, am going home” one hand on the door handle. You feel someone's hand on yours. “No, you’re not. You are going to stay here and -“ “No I am not. I want to go home and sleep” “You can sleep here with us!” Prudence was now starting to show the panic. “Why would I?” “Why would you not?” For the first time in a while, you can hear Ambrose in the back.
You couldn’t take it anymore, and you didn’t understand why you told it to go on for so long. You had enough, you were tired of it all. You just wanted to go home. “Am done for the night, so let me hand go, now” Yet again, your voice was low and steady. “Not until you listen to us. So sit down”
You didn’t look at them. You just said a little spell under your breath and her hand was off of yours. You fast-walked down the stairs and put your shoes on by the door. You could hear the two coming. But then you saw Sabrina out of the corner of your eye. “Hey, I didn’t know you would be here” “Don’t worry, you won’t see me here again. Goodnight Sabrina” They gave you a ring a while ago. You knew they used it to locate you. You slipped it off your hand and gave it to Sabrina. You didn’t want them trying to find you.
“Here, I want to give this to you.” You grabbed her hand and put it on her right hand. You saw her put it on. “Wow, you want me to have this. It looks meaning” Sabrina had been a very good friend to you since she got to the Academy, so you hoped she didn’t think much about it. She didn’t even know about the 3 of you. You saw Prudence and Ambrose on top of the stairs. You hugged Sabrina and said goodnight. You just wanted to get out of the house and away from them.
That night you went home, not the Academy. You lived in the next town over. Riverdale. You took a shower and went straight to sleep after. The morning your parents didn’t even know you went home. You knew you needed an excuse to “stay home and play sick” you just needed your space. And your mom did just that. She called Father Blackwood and told him you came down with a stomach bug.
~
You didn’t go to school for two days and you knew they were trying to contact you. Back at the school, they wanted to talk more and get you to understand them. But what was there to understand?
They found out that you gave Sabrina the right and wasn’t happy, mostly Prudence. But more upset that they couldn’t find you.
You wanted to end the “relationship”. And you were going to do just that. You had two days to yourself and then back to school. Not even being about to walk in your first class, someone grabbed your arm and pulled you into the empty room right across. You almost fell but Ambrose had got you before the floor did. He held you into him. You saw Prudence shut the door.
“Where the hell have you been, you went MIA on us.” Prudence was not having it. She went straight to the question. You could feel Ambrose's hands holding on you for dear life but you stepped out from it and fixing your outfit you had picked out. “We have been worried sick about you. And the little trick with the right, it wasn’t funny” You can feel her anger in every word
“You have nothing to say?” You looked down. “Am done” Your had thought everything through. You were going to break up with them at The Spellman home. And tell them you can all still be friends. But that all went out the window at the moment.
“What do you mean you done” Ambrose spoke out. “Am done, I can’t do this anymore. The hiding, the sneaking. Acting like am always the third wheel in front of everyone. Am done being y’all secret” You kept it all together. The days you were gone were spent crying your heart out. You had no more tears to give.
“You can’t surely mean that love, am sure we can talk about this” Ambrose spoke out but you weren’t having it. “But I do mean it. This, as isn’t working anymore. Am breaking up with you. This is me deciding for myself. And I know my worth, and this isn’t how I should be treated. You broke me!” But by the time you were done talking. They both had tears in their eyes
“Please say you don’t mean that? Please Tell me you're not going through with this!” Prudence y’allied out at you. You never in your years of knowing her seen her this mad. “Are you sure you wanna be yelling, don’t want people to know about me, right?” You wish it wasn’t this hard for them to let you go. It was clear, everything was clear for you now.
“We can give you some space and talk about this again, okay?” Ambrose stepped closer to you with every word. You could tell he was trying, trying to make you rethink everything. But you couldn’t, you were ready to go out and dance with whoever you wanted. Talk to whoever you want. Go on dates with someone(s) and hold has with that person(s) out in public without them feeling like they had to hide you. You wanted to be loved, not just in the dark.
“Respect my decision, mine.” They knew you weren’t gonna back down. You were never the type too. “We will respect your decision,” Ambrose said at last “You can’t be letting her do this!” “I am and we will. She just told us she isn’t happy. We need to let her be happy Pru”
There was nothing for you to say. You walked to Ambrose, gave him, and kissed him. You could feel him pulling you in more, knowing this would be the last time. When the moment was over you walked up to her, the woman you thought you were gonna be with till the day you die. She didn’t wait for you to say anything. She walked into your arms and kissed you. The kiss had so much love and passion. You didn’t want to let go but at the end of the day. This is for you.
No one said a word when you opened the door and walked out.

can you write a sequel one shot to the one shot you had posted about hilda talking to zelda about her ptsd and it’s hilda confronting blackwood about what he did
Read on ao3. Sequel to chapter 34 ‘Recovery’. Thanks for the prompt.
It’d taken them a bit longer than expected. To capture Faustus Blackwood. But Ambrose and Prudence had proven to be quite the team; saving the twins and bringing the former high priest back alive.
Zelda was taking the high road. Bringing Faustus before the reformed high council for his crimes against the coven. She wasn’t seeking anything for herself, for the atrocities she suffered at the wretch’s hands. No, Zelda preferred to act as if those days never happened, as though she’d never been subjected to the Caligari spell and Blackwood’s cruelty. Just because Zelda was working through it in the way she needed, didn’t mean Hilda couldn’t step in and handle things though.
She’d done it before; with Shirley Jackson. Though the witch had hardly been her first murder. Blackwood… he would be her first torture victim.
Hilda wished she could kill him. Strip him of life in the vilest way she could imagine. But she understood what her sister was trying to do, what she was trying to achieve. So, Hilda would respect that. Would respect Zelda’s choice to spare the man until the high council came to a decision. But she couldn’t let the matter rest entirely, not after what he’d done to her big sister.
Which was how Hilda found herself opening Blackwood’s cell, walking inside and closing the door behind her with a resounding boom.
Almost unrecognizable, he looked up at her. Face thin from being on the run, his normally immaculate hair now long, greasy and disheveled, Faustus Blackwood was a far cry from the refined warlock who’d been their high priest for decades. And even in this state, this magicless, defeated state, he had the audacity to smirk. “The coven must have fallen on even harder times than I thought, if they’re sending you in here to do their bidding.”
She held back. Though she’d come in here with the sole purpose of hurting him, Hilda wasn’t going to let Blackwood provoke her. She wasn’t going to let this happen on his terms.
“We’re under new leadership, Zelda’s high priestess, Lilith the queen of Hell and half the high council is made up of witches. The coven has been reborn in a better, brighter image. No thanks to you.” Hilda sneered at him, flexing her fingers. “Hard times are a thing of the past, a thing of your and Lucifer’s reign.”
Blackwood scoffed before spitting onto the ground. “Reborn? You defiled the very basis of what we pledged to do when we signed our names in the Book of the Beast. To obey our Dark Lord, do as He commanded. That is all I ever did.”
“So, He commanded you to put Zelda under the Caligari spell?” Hilda interrupted his tirade, uninterested in whatever zealot excuse the man might try and provide for most of his actions.
Realization dawned on him, why she was really there. And he huffed in disbelief. “Oh, no. That was for my convenience. We’d have made an incredible partnership, bolstered one another and the church.” He moved into his knees and brushed his hair out of his face. “Can you imagine, what we could have accomplished? How amazing we could have been? But your nephew and niece,” he spat the words, “they got in the way. Ambrose tried to kill me and Sabrina, well, we know what she’s been doing. If they hadn’t interfered… it’d have been glorious. But I knew Zelda would never side with me over them, over her family. So, I did what I had to.” He shrugged, as if to say anyone else would’ve done the same.
Though she intended to be methodical, to take her time, his nonchalance over the whole ordeal pushed Hilda over the edge. She hit him with a spell that burned him from the inside, the pain must have been excruciating—if the way he writhed on the ground and screamed was any indication.
When she lifted the spell, Blackwood looked at her in astonishment, chest heaving and eyes watering. He hadn’t expected this from her, hadn’t thought her capable. It was useful, being underestimated by so many. And Hilda intended to take full advantage of his misjudgment.
“You can’t do this…” He managed raggedly, trying to back away from her the best he could in chains. “Zelda decreed I be left alive for my trial with the high council.”
A dark chuckle escaped Hilda then. “Indeed, she did. And I have no intention of breaking my sister’s ruling. But being alive and being whole are not the same. And you only need to be one of those to be brought before the council.”
Blackwood blanched as Hilda approached him once more, magic cracking through the air.

Part 3 Episode 7
Sabrina crying over Zelda’s body but Mambo Marie is here to save the day! Apparently Zelda is so near death she’s stuck in limbo until she comes back when she has had strength
A banshee has turned up yelling her death yell, meaning a member of the Spellman family is going to die soon apparently
Why is Lucifer always walking around naked. Would it kill you to put some pants on dude? And Lilith is tense as fuck while waiting in the chair
‘you’d kill me for the part I played in overthrowing you, yes, except a lot has changed since your little nap in the tub’ I like Lilith’s way of summing up things.
She gave Blackwood the mark of Cain which means no one can hurt him, not even Satan (I feel this will backfire, making him invincible essentially, but...Lilith always puts self-preservation first)
‘and in exchange he gave me your seed’ you could have said that differently lilith. I don’t know how but...not like that.
‘the satanic miracle of miracles. I am with child’
Lucifer is not happy about this and immediately goes to, presumably, choke her to death, and she looks scared, as she often does with him and understandably so, but she reminds him she’s carrying HIS child. He argues he already has an heir (never heard of a spare, Lucifer?)
‘you wouldn’t kill your own SON’ she is playing so much to the fact she KNOWS he prizes boys above girls. And she’s right on the money because the moment she says son he gets all soft and hopeful. Bloody men.
he says it’s just a stay of execution and he plans to kill her after but come on, witches carry children for 13 months, that’s over a year for Lilith to make plans. Wait, is Michelle going to be baby-bumped up for Part 4????
‘perhaps in the mean time you can sort out the mess your daughter’s made in hell’ because let’s be honest...she has. I mean good intentions literally pave the road to hell and Sabrina walks that path often
‘if only for our child’s sake’ yep keep pulling that string, Lilith, loving it. They’re so close now that in any other couple it would look intimate and close, but with Lucifer it just looks menacing, like get out of her face and stop pinning her against the wall
But Lucifer has to accept she’s won this hand and tells her to go summon the court. Lilith has yet again survived, as she says she always does. She is a survivor above all else and I just admire the fuck out of that and I like that despite any direction the season has taken, they have stayed true to that part of Lilith’s character. Mary however they’ve just sent to Christian Nut Job Town
The Pagans have Blackwood and he’s smug AF because he has the Mark of Cain. He wants to take down the Church of Night so he wants to partner up with the Pagans. Bloody Faustus. He wants his kids back I think, which fair does, but you planned to marry them together. You’re not a Targaryen
Theo and Robin having some cherry popping. Look away! Private moment!
And Lucifer is back and Lilith is at his side and if I was Lilith I would be sticking my finger up at the aristocracy because who has been in a place of power constantly no matter who rules hell? Why Lilith of course. Suck it, fellas! And one of the Kings challenges him and he snaps his neck, but this doesn’t stop Caliban still coming forward.
Lilith is perfection with her Caliban specific eyeroll with the added comment of ‘oh this should be good’. She looks so irritated in the background. But she’s safe now because of her pregnancy so she’s standing strong again which I like to see. I mean I ABHOR she’s back with her abuser, but I like that she’s managed to avoid being killed by him and I presume this isn’t the way the balance will stay for long.
‘She’ll turn  up. She usually does’ Lilith again summing up Sabrina nicely
Ooh we’re seeing Zelda’s limbo dreams- And Hilda is in limbo too. AND EDWARD IS THERE TO MEET THEM
Also witch limbo much nicer than mortal limbo
Sabrina has brought cheerleaders to the academy to chant.  HEY MICKY??? WE’RE SINGING HEY MICKEY???? BRING IT ON FLASHBACKS. And I do adore that film so am I singing along? Yes. Yes I am. But it seems to be working with the cheerleaders.
Oh fuck Blackwood turned up
This is such a Practical Magic vibe with non-witches joining alongside the coven, and the cheerleaders at back at high school and sabrina has taken the coven to hell. Like you do. At least she didn’t mix it up
Agatha has turned magic psycho, Dorcas is dead, and Blackwood is using all this to his advantage
OMG LUCIFER AND LILITH WALKING IN TOGETHER IS QUITE THE IMAGE I WON’T LIE. They look like Sabrina’s disappointed parents. Actually they have the energy of the King and Queen from the Cinderella with Bernadette Peters. So Lilith is Whoopi Goldbery in this scenario
Sabrina immediately jumps to conclusions ‘the dream team back together again’
‘don’t mistake survival and co-dependency for love. We are very much NOT together’ Lilith could not put more emphasis on that ‘not’ if she tried
OMFG LILITH SAID TO SABRINA ‘take your place as Queen of Hell. Keeping throne warm for your’ dramatic touch to belly ‘little brother’. Lucifer looks really happy about this.
You know if Lilith keeps Sabrina on side and helps her with stuff, Sabrina as Queen, and then being able to share the throne with a brother so she can do mortal stuff might be the key to Lilith keeping herself alive and away from the Dark Lord’s wrath. His abuse is another matter
Edward knew that Lucifer was Sabrina’s Father and apparently Edward is like Zelda’s spirit guide.
FLASHBACKS TO YOUNG ZELDA AND YOUNG FAUSTUS AT THE ACADEMY.
The Dark Lord is making foolish decisions and Lilith is speaking to him like she speaks to Sabrina when she’s about to make a hasty bad decision. OMG she’s got to deal with two of them. Let’s pray Lilith’s child takes after Lilith. Also I’d love for it to turn out to be a girl, just because women are ruling this throne. And a girl would play on the whole ‘spellman twins’ thing
When Lucifer telepathically tells Sabrina to go to the place where Judas, Cassius and Brutus are, all I can see in my head is Michelle Fairley as Cassius because I went to see her playing that role twice
Mary coming back to class stressed as fuck, because obviously she killed someone and she’s learned about witches and shit. But I feel her shooting Zelda was while the devil was in her ear the way it was with the witches earlier in the season.
The pagans need a virgin and poor Harvey still is so he’s being hunted down in a library. Bad day. Ah Robin saved them.
And now we’re seeing the flash back when baby Sabrina suddenly appeared in the Spellman home after Edward and Diana died
Sabrina doing a nice bit of graverobbing but she’s getting all thrally with the vampire. But apparently she doesn’t taste good, her blood burns him? Because she’s celestial. And Sabrina adds also there was no consent so she smashes him in the face
I suspected Dorcas would be killed off since she was the lead in the other netflix show, but the tragedy of Agatha doing and Prudence having to kill Agatha fucking hurts man. She’s lost her fucking SISTERS
AND NOW BLACKWOOD HAS STABBED PRUDENCE IN THE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!! PRUDENCE IS DYING IN AMBROSE’S ARMS NOOOOOOOOOOO
But then we’re getting a glimpse of the future where zelda is very very very old and dying and sabrina calls her her Mother and zelda is realising maiden mother crone is so important to defeating the pagans and saving the coven
Zelda has woke up to shit fest and Blackwood stood over her with a bloody knife
HE STABBED ZELDA IN THE HEART. PEOPLE STOP KILLING ZELDA.
Caliban trapping Sabrina and planning to kill her, and Sabrina says ‘My Father and Lilith’ erm did you just use Lilith in the same sentence as your Dad as if she’s your stepmother? Like......I love that
Virgin Harvey is being sacrificed in the green man thing much like the Wicker Man. The vines are taking him and absorbing him like we saw happening to Mary in the trailer? But it hasn’t happened to Mary....yet

I think Sabrina is a little... questionable. I found the race depictions to be so problematic, in a way that tells me the showrunners thought that by casting a diverse cast they were done, when really they played into so many nasty race stereotypes and tropes that it ended up reading so offensive to me. (1/x)
For example, this show did not issue a trigger warning for an image of a lynched Black woman in 2018; it comes on suddenly and in close-up view. To do so without warning was so tone-deaf: It feels rare to go a day without seeing some news story about brutality against Black people. Showing it on a fictional TV show as one storyline of many felt like needless insult to injury, and it’s a telling marker of whose trauma is considered legitimate, and under what circumstances. (2/x)
It also seemed as if the show’s primary positioning of Prudence as an antagonist plays into a centuries-old myth developed by colonizers to dehumanize Black people for their traditional African spiritual beliefs and practices. The show positions Prudence as the angry Black woman who attacks the misunderstood, small, blonde, white girl. It’s a harmful conflict viewers simply did not need to see, especially when the cards are so clearly stacked in Sabrina’s favor. Prudence never stood a chance (3)
Representation is nice and all, but it should encourage writers to address characters of color like Prudence with dimension — including acknowledgements of how race affects the way they move through the world. Instead they totally ignored her race in some kind of colorblind haze, without acknowledging that even among women, power takes on a completely different meaning when blackness is a part of their identity. That to me is why CAOS is a bit of a failure. What do you think?—–
so, i’m definitely not going to dispute this. i mentioned in a few of my write ups for the show thus far that the treatment of race is never given any consideration the way sexuality and gender are cared for.
i get this especially in the arc for roz, who essentially functions as a plot device rather than get the same kind of character development that harvey, susie, and sabrina get, for instance.
as for prudence specifically, yes, the lynching scene has horrible optics and definitely perpetuates traumatic threats that were so unnecessary, in any case. it clearly wasn’t considered and i find it shocking (read: not too shocking) that no one, along the line, said hey, let’s not. you’d think that’d be obvious, but—it is RAS. he’s never been good at positive or equal racial representation, whatsoever, so let’s not beat around that bush.
beyond that, there are certain things that i feel i can’t speak to, but there’s a very good write up here, which i’ll post.
Prudence is never depicted as an outright villain. The writers behind the series clearly want audiences to like her: She has bombastic entrances, great comebacks, and a stylistic fierceness that honors Gabrielle’s inspiration from the iconic Eartha Kitt. For every scene where she is cruel to Sabrina, there are others meant to highlight her depth beyond that mean-girl archetype, like their thoughtful argument about faith in the “Feast of Feasts” episode. Even as they have wildly different perspectives, they learn to respect each other. For Sabrina, she is willing to disregard the rules in order to get freedom and power; for Prudence, power is enough. In many ways, Prudence reminds me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Cordelia Chase (portrayed with vigor and venom by Charisma Carpenter) — a mean girl who becomes a hero with dimension in her own right.
I will admit whenever Prudence referred to Sabrina as “half-breed” to nod to her half-witch, half-mortal lineage, I winced. Those words coming out of the mouth of a black woman — especially a character who is revealed to be the mixed-race daughter of Father Blackwood (Richard Coyle) — is like stepping into a home with fun house mirrors. It’s a jarring occurence repeated at different points in the series, and it seems born from the same well of ignorance that led to the most prickly moment in the series’ fourth episode, “Witch Academy.”
The most controversial scene in Chilling Adventures, at least in regards to Prudence, comes at the end of that episode, which charts Sabrina’s early days in the Academy of the Unseen Arts as she suffers through a cruel hazing experience known as the Harrowing. The Weird Sisters, with Prudence guiding the way, relish torturing Sabrina — imprisoning her in a narrow chamber, forcing her into the cold night where a demon taunts her by imitating her loved ones being grotesquely tortured — and save their cruelest punishment for last. They take Sabrina to a clearing in the dead of night. A noose festoons her neck, rope binds her wrists. But instead of being strung up and perhaps even killed, Sabrina flips the script: With the help of the ghosts of Academy students killed during their own Harrowings, she flings up the Weird Sisters on invisible nooses, strangling them as she declares there will be no more hazing at the school. In a recent io9 piece, Beth Elderkin and Charles Pulliam-Moore critiqued this scene succinctly: “This should not have to be explained, but it is in extremely bad taste to depict black people being hanged on television without an extraordinary amount of context and care that make it clear that (a) the creators of the television show understand the significance of that imagery, and (b) said hanging serves a narrative point.”
Lynching is not a horror transcribed to history, but a present and vicious act. The goal of those that perform these monstrosities throughout the sickening history of this country is more than just pain or violence, it is to consign black people to utter oblivion. As the marvelous journalist Ida B. Wells said to a Chicago crowd in 1900, “Our country’s national crime is lynching. It is not the creature of an hour, the sudden outburst of uncontrolled fury, or the unspeakable brutality of an insane mob. It represents the cool, calculating deliberation of intelligent people who openly avow that there is an ‘unwritten law’ that justifies them in putting human beings to death without complaint under oath, without trial by jury, without opportunity to make defense, and without right of appeal.”
I wasn’t riled by what happens in Chilling Adventures, but I can see how it betrays an ignorance to the optics of the matter, even as the hangings are meant to evoke the history of witch trials leading up to the emergence of the Greendale 13 in the closing episode. Yet to call what happens a lynching is to strip actual lynchings of their tangled complexities and to willfully ignore the context of the scene in the series. Sabrina doesn’t kill Prudence or the other Weird Sisters; she was defending herself in the only way she saw fit to avoid her own demise. (This act also foreshadows the darkness Sabrina is willing to enact by season’s end.) Most importantly, Chilling Adventures from the very beginning treats Prudence as an alluring mean girl, not a villain meant to be punished. If anything, Gabrielle brings her to life with such fierce grace, she becomes more than just a charming supporting character, but an accomplished scene-stealer who at times could be a more engaging anchor for the series than Shipka’s Sabrina.

Meanwhile, the history of black witches in pop culture is a tangled one defined by exoticization and marginalization. Black witches may be granted style and grace, but rarely are the written with any interiority. In The Craft, Rachel True’s Rochelle is mired in the racist attacks of a peer, but she is hastily drawn in comparison to the other, white members of her coven. In American Horror Story: Coven, Angela Bassett brings a fierce grace to Madame Marie Laveau, one of the most important figures of witchcraft in New Orleans and American history, but that series framed race in a way that betrays a queasy ignorance (and her power often paled to that of the white witches, who seemingly cribbed their skills from black women in the first place). Although Tituba is one of the most iconic black witches, thanks to portrayals in a variety of books, films, and series about the Salem witch trials, historical documents prove she wasn’t black at all but a South American Native. The most successful black witches in all of pop culture, to me, remain Mozelle Batiste Delacroix (Debbi Morgan) and the women of Eve’s Bayou, a gorgeous coming-of-age tale that respects and celebrates the rich culture of rural Louisiana.
Where does Prudence fit within this lineage? Does she mark a fascinating step forward in granting black women (and black audiences by proxy) the delight that comes with being a witch, or is she another example of the ways black witches in pop culture garner little respect and even less interiority by the writers that conjure them? Prudence is a tremendous character — beguiling, sharp-witted, fierce. She’s also something I wish I got to see as a kid: a black witch having fun with her powers and reveling in the world she lives in. If anything, she’s dynamic enough thanks to Gabrielle’s slinky performance that she trumps the show’s nagging issues of colorblind perspective. The creators behind Chilling Adventures would be smart to give her even more focus going forward and define the dynamics of race within their world of witchcraft. The conversation swirling around Chilling Adventures reflects the fascinating, wildly shifting intersections between politics and art that often simplify the former and flatten the latter.
Representation need not be a mirror for individual members of the audience, but should encourage writers to address characters of color like Prudence with dimension — including acknowledgements of how race affects the way they move through the world. Chilling Adventures seeks to interrogate the ways women yearn for, experience, and at times, are prohibited from power through its clever, rich story about witches. But to give this story justice, the show must acknowledge that even among women, power takes on a completely different meaning when blackness is a part of their identity.
[x] (i think the whole article is really great and worth reading too)
so for me, yes, caos absolutely fails in many regards. it’s very whitefeminism!now! and that’s clear.
but i do really agree with the last part of this article as well, which highlights that prudence is a very strong character in her own right and her relationship with sabrina very much shifts; before the show aired, i mentioned i was nervous that they made sabrina’s foil a black girl, but as it progressed, i didn’t really feel prudence was an antagonist. at the start, sure, but she feels very much a victim to the same world (for different reasons, obviously) and seemed to realize that towards the end. how she addresses her place in the witch world as a woman of color is something i hope the writers are paying attention to. i hope.
witches are always going to be fairly fraught in terms of subject matter; caos invokes so much catholic vs satanism that it absolutely stomps all over any other religion, particularly iconography or stereotypes. i have plenty of criticisms in this regard, especially from my own place as a jewish woman. so many western witch stereotypes come from anti-semitism. the pointed hat was a medieval jewish hat and the physical depiction of witches also comes from very aggressive anti-semitic stereotypes, as well as the stories of blood libel (ie, child snatching and eating). it goes on.
still to this day, most witches in films are portrayed by or described as jewish women. (elphaba, the witches in any oz incarnation, the coding of mother gothel in tangled etc) in caos specifically, they utilize lilith, who was a jewish figure, as the original demon and i could see that upsetting some in the context. it doesn’t for me, as a jewish woman, but i get it.
and yet, i still enjoy the exploration of the witch, because i think it has the capacity to move or wade more deeply into these historical contexts, and also can be steeped with so much other meaning as well. witches have often been a gendered issue, the vilification of the woman, and how that spills onto the woman’s individual non-christian or non whiteness is a case by case basis. caos definitely, definitely fails in this.
tl;dr, i do agree. i really do. and these are critiques that make the show worth not watching for some, worth openly pointing out. race is just as wrapped up in witch tales as much as religion or gender is, so to only address two out of those three things felt deliberately “colorblind” in a way that is not effective (and straight out offensive) for where we’re at in society.

sxekhaos replied to your post: @sxekhaos replied to your post: let’s talk about...
Focus of the show. I hope we see more of Prudence and the Sisters. They are interesting characters. We know there will be changes coming to season 2. Images released show Susie’s name changing to Theo. So hopefully the show runners listen to who are the fan favourites and give us more of them and their backstories (hahahahahahaha when does that ever happen?) That’s what’s great about fan fiction. People writing the stories we which they would tell. If hanging the murdered children is part of the harrowing and is how they died then that image was going to be bad no matter what happened. It seems like CAoS exists in a vacuum where being a witch is more important to ones identity than race. I hope we see Prudence and Sabrina bond in season 2. Both over growing dislike for Blackwood and over Prudence’s sister who is being raised by Zelda (looking forward to that explanation). Sabrina is the title character. She is always going to be
i really don’t give two fucks about Susie. i’m happy for the representation, but as a character i didn’t think susie ever had anything to do that wasn’t related to their dead relative or feeling as though because their uncle crossdressed at some point maybe their family wasn’t as backwards.
the thing is caos doesn’t exist in a vacuum, 95% of stories that deal with witches or vampires or mutants deal with this idea that being a witch or vampire or mutant is more important in ones oppression. so not only does this show further that harmful trope, it then adds the idea of sabrina being a #wokewitch and i’m sorry but you can’t have a scene where sabrina listens to jaz talk about being black impacts her oppression as a woman and then look at prudence and say she’s racist for calling sabrina a half mortal half breed what have you. ESPECIALLY WHEN THIS COVEN IS LOCATED IN THE WHITEST PART OF AMERICA, IN THE WHITEST TOWN AND THE ENTIRE POWER STRUCTURE CONTINUES TO BE WHTE and to top it off 95% of the witches they called on for power during the exorcism were white. [ to be fair to the show here i didn’t recognize every name, but they seemed like your standard cast of characters you say are witches when making a modern day witch narrative and want to reference real people that lived. ]but also just going back to the power structure of the coven, ambrose’s punishment for simply being part of a plan to do something is house arrest and yet sabrina is continuously allowed to break rules and literally suffer no consequences. being the main character doesn’t stop you from suffering consequences.
it doesn’t help either when you have jaz having been cursed by [ a presumably white ] witch in the past either and jaz was white in the source material and wasn’t cursed [ at least not in the first volume ]
it’s not like all this bad shit was just happening to prudence, no character of color in the show escaped getting fucked over. even agatha was the one that had to suffer when they were sacrificing people. like they literally killed an asian woman to bring back a white dude.
i enjoyed the ride, but it was fucked up and just because ras isn’t capable of talking about the intersection of race and witchcraft doesn’t mean that i can’t???

Something Spooky is Happening in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
Tumblr media
Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa shared some images from the upcoming adaptation of his and Robert Hack’s The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, coming to Netflix on October 26, 2018.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina re-imagines Sabrina’s occult origins as she wrestles with her dual nature as a half-witch half-human while fighting the evil forces that threaten her, her family, and the human world. The woods seems to be a spooky place...I like it.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina stars Kiernan Shipka (Sabrina Spellman), Lucy Davis (Hilda Spellman), Miranda Otto (Zelda Spellman), Jaz Sinclair (Rosalind Walker), Michelle Gomez (Mary Wardell), Chance Perdomo (Ambrose Spellman), Richard Cole (Father Blackwood), Ross Lynch (Harvey Kinkle), Tati Gabrielle (Prudence), and Bronson Pinchot (Principal George Hawthorne).
