Hello Simmers, come and enjoy your stay at Villa Firostefani!  This build is another multi use lot.

Villa Firostefani is a family friendly restaurant and vacation spot that  is  tucked snugly along Tartosa's sunset coastline,. This location offers soft and sandy beaches to share with a lover, plus nighttime bioluminescent shores that are perfect for lighting up a romantic dip... and only a short stroll from Porto Luminoso.  This is a  family-run complex of villas with scenic views of the waters. Built in Cycladic style, each room is different from the other. This property has a private villa with it's own pool which caters to a family, a studio with a balcony for backpackers and last but not least, a perfect honeymoon suite, with a private outdoor shower and direct beach access.  This venue is also offers day passes for those who are not staying in the villas. Don't forget to try the delicious seafood the restaurant prepares daily and the refreshing cocktails during sunset happy hour. Villa Firostefani also offers spa services as well as movie night as an activity during the weekend.

1. Are you named after anyone? My first name is an old book character, and my second name is a derivative of my grandmother's name. My screen name is one I made up, and have started preferring to my legal name.

2. When was the last time I cried? Nearly cried when I had a freak out realizing I forgot to follow back friend. Before that a couple hours ago when deep topic hit deep.

3. Do I have kids? No. Don't want them either. I'm good at babysitting and watching kids for a few hours but get distracted and frustrated easily. I don't trust myself with them. Kids seem to like me though. I've been told I tell good stories and am patient when explaining things to them. I treat them like full humans?

4. What sports do you play/have you played? I played volleyball, did cross country running, softball, and skiing. Real jock here (not really there was nothing to do but sports where I used to live). Haven't played any since 2020 though. I use a bike though sometimes.

5. Do you use sarcasm? Never. I don't have a sarcastic bone in my body.

6. What's the first thing you notice about someone? How close they are in relation to me. I don't like anyone I don't know to be near me. Next thing is clothes.

7. Eye color? Blue and yellow (not two different eyes but mixed in both)

8. Scary movies or happy endings? Depends on mood, but a scary movie can have a happy ending. It's a chore to get to sit long enough to watch a movie though.

9. Any talents? I've been told I have some good writing skills. I can draw? I can analyze stuff? Idk.

10. Where were you born? In a hospital? Why, you need a recommendation? I live on the west coast.

11. Hobbies? Reading, writing, drawing, thinking, overthinking.

14. Favourite school subject? Writing followed by history.

15. Dream job? Getting hired by DC, writing 6 issue solo serieses for Helena Bertinelli, Mia Dearden, Cassandra Cain, Stephanie Brown, and than being assigned to a main Batbook where I can have my go at four part storyline. After my sucess I get put on a new project where I get all the creative freedom. I write a 20 issue maxi series on a preflash point alternate timeline where Bruce stayed dead. I then get to write a Tim Drake twelve issue maxi where I bring back Tim's civilian friends in a fun but serious story about starting to grow up, and by the end Tim has a new identity.

A job that makes enough that I can have enough money to eat three meals, have a warm shower, and live in a building that won't fall apart with a strong wind?

Today it was an hour and a half call with @aguyinthepubliceye and his best friend! We finished watching Dead Poets Society, they had started it about a week ago, I didn’t notice much this time cuz I was paying attention to the movie but here’s some stuff

Porto just says “penis” sometimes, at this point I’m thinking it’s either a vocal stim or just something he says when it’s too quiet for him

I feel a bit more like a third wheel during calls with him and his friend than I do when it’s just texting in the gc that we have, I’m not sure why

We all agreed the subplot with Knox and Chris is weird and unnecessary

And I realized as soon as we started where they had left off, that I’m gonna be watching the movie again tonight with a friend, so I get double the emotional damage today

I was watching Luca again and I noticed details that seem to regularly go unnoticed.

Luca’s shirt has 4 buttons, but the bottom one always stays unbuttoned, presumably for his personal comfort.

In the scene where Luca and Alberto are relaxing on top of the tower, you can see very slight rustling in the leaves, implying a mild breeze.

The harpoon the fishermen threw at Alberto at the start of the movie actually hit Alberto, and it gave him a scar. In his human form it looks like a normal scar on the back of his upper arm, and in his sea monster form it looks more like a fresh cut in the same location.

Machiavelli is directly designed after Massimo, down to his curled chest fur resembling Massimo’s chest hair.

Luca’s pupils contract after he looks at the sun.

Giulia’s exclamations are actually really subtle and clever puns. We all know they’re just “Saint [insert type of cheese here]!” But that would make them “holy cheeses” — sounding similar to “holy jesus” (intentional or not this one gets a chuckle from me).

The Porto Rosso Cup doesn’t have a pasta eating race for no reason, the race is sponsored by a pasta company.

The end credits imply Alberto became a lifeguard after the events of the movie, with him wearing an Italian lifeguard tank top and playing with kids in (presumably) the nearby ocean.

Prior to Luca, not many of Pixar’s movies that took place in countries other than America really utilized the language of whatever country the movie takes place in to the extent it was done in Luca. The words “Andiamo” (“let’s go”), “rigazzi” (“boys”), and Giulia’s aforementioned cheese exclamations are the most commonly used in the English version of Luca, although tons more Italian phrases are sprinkled throughout the movie.

After Luca and Alberto are announced the winners of the Porto Rosso Cup, a little girl glances at Massimo then goes to give Alberto a high five.

Alberto’s fins are jagged and sharp and were designed after tuna fins, which is meant to symbolize his speed. This is in contrast to Luca’s fins, which are more round and meant to imply a slower speed than Alberto.

It doesn’t actually snow much in Genova. I remember looking this up after watching Luca once which is why it’s being added here. This is in part due to temperature averages not being below freezing in Genova winters. It does sometimes snow in Genova but it’s not as common as in other parts of Italy.

Ana, hello! I saw you posted about tv shows/movies a while ago,and so my ask was regarding that. Are there any movies you (or your followers) know that heavily depict Portuguese Sephardic Jews? The only one I know is The Strange Case of Angelica, whose main character is a Sephardic Jew but afaik it doesn't delve much into it (Disclaimer: I never watched it,just read the summary).

Sefarad is about the Jewish community of Porto and set in the year 1496, when the order of expulsion happened

1618 is a movie about the Inquistion's persecution of crypto Jews in the city of Porto, focused specifically on one family.

They are both portuguese productions and look to have really good quality, from the costuming, to the set, to the actors (no major actors too, which is super refreshing)
