AH HELLO PRAX HAPPY THURSDAY!!! and THANK YOU -- I hope it's alright I combined 18 with @bbjkrss-blog request for 35 (and THANK YOU for the prompt, also!!!!!), they fit really well together!! Anyway -- lovvved writing this one it was so so soft:

Hawkeye lost his grip on the edge of the mattress. “Beej,” he complained, laughing, as BJ dragged him back under the duvet, holding Hawkeye to his chest. 

“I can’t have a hug?” BJ asked, kissing the back of his neck. He resettled the blankets so Hawkeye was tucked in up to his chin.

“Of course you can.” Hawkeye turned in his arms. BJ tossed a leg over his hip and drew him in tighter, nosing into the hollow of his throat. “But just for a second. I don’t want to jog to the bakery again.”

“Mm,” BJ said, breath warm against Hawkeye’s neck. He slid a hand up the back of Hawkeye’s thin sleeping shirt. It wasn’t a bid for anything more, unless a nap counted as an ulterior motive. 

“They’re going to run out of the good baguettes,” Hawkeye said. It was a reminder to himself, too; the blankets were still sleep-warmed and cozy. BJ’s arm was comfortably heavy over his waist. It was more tempting every second to stay in bed. 

“So get the less-good ones,” BJ murmured, rubbing his face against Hawkeye’s chest. “I don’t mind the sesame.”

“I mind the sesame,” Hawkeye tried to convince himself. It seemed a weak argument, comparatively, when BJ was rubbing circles into his lower back. The touch was warming him through, and he pushed himself more tightly against BJ, despite his determination to get out of bed soon. “One more minute,” he brokered, glancing at BJ’s watch on the nightstand. 

“One more minute,” BJ agreed. 

Hawkeye relaxed against him, curling into the blankets, closing his eyes against the midmorning light. He grasped BJ’s upper arm where it rested across his waist, and held it. BJ kissed his collarbone. Hawkeye realized it was almost impossible to open his eyes. It was far easier, and more comfortable, to melt against BJ. 

BJ’s breath slowed, and his hand stilled under Hawkeye’s shirt. 

“Don’t fall asleep,” Hawkeye warned them both, though he was certain he’d allowed the one-minute mark to come and go. He couldn’t bear to open his eyes to check. Sleep was holding onto him even more determinedly than BJ. “We’re getting up. Any minute now we’re getting up.”

BJ sighed, more than half asleep. He rolled over, pinning Hawkeye under his weight, a full-body press that threatened to snuff out the last, weak flicker of Hawkeye’s willpower. 

It felt phenomenal. Hawkeye sighed, basking in the totality of the contact, BJ’s warm presence soothing something deep within him. “Damn. I can’t let go of you,” he confessed, rubbing their faces together. 

“It's a mutual problem.” BJ inhaled deeply, pressing Hawkeye flatter against the mattress.

Hawkeye hummed happily and held on. Maybe he’d have to learn how to make baguettes at home. It couldn’t be too hard, really—no harder than leaving bed on a Saturday morning.

Frank, I work with children, and they often say inappropriate things that are extremely funny. If I laugh at these things, I will only reinforce their behavior, which their parents do not like. How can I avoid laughing when I hear little children say swear words, and what should I say to them instead of laughing? Thank you and much love.

The last time I heard a 2-year-old say a bad word I told him that I knew a lot of words, and he should ask me to teach him some!

He had a lot of trouble understanding this concept, but it worked for me.

in high school i got my anger out by hitting boys who were bullying my friends. i did this several times and it always made the bullying stop! eventually i did it in front of too many people (by which i mean the entire school in the quad during lunch. oops.) and got suspended, lol

a combination of executive dysfunction and being a homebody has made me adept at completely missing out on a lot of popular media. i've never seen a star war or played an elder scrolls game. so many references fly right over my head x_x the situation is so much more dire for music. dire enough i'm embarrassed to even admit some of the music i've never heard...

WIP Game!!

So "Have you ever kissed a boy, Peggy?" is my very first contribution to Remy's STAE verse! It's Beej/Peg flashbacks to worldbuild and set up a lot of stuff that Beej and Peg, the codependent traumatized high school sweethearts, keep under lock and key or just don't elaborate on.

There needs to be some serious edits because since starting it, Remy and I have done a lot of planning re: Beej and Peg growing up in the Depression and Peg's family migrating from Oklahoma to California during the dust bowl. But for everyone's sapphic Peg needs, please enjoy a snippet of her about to engage in the classic trope "Best friends practice kissing and uh oh, one of us realizes we're queer"

“I guess I’ve just been…in shock? I didn’t really expect to get asked out.”

“Now that’s just silly,” Peggy retorts, looking away only to tap her fingertips against the nails of her other hand. No smudging. “You’re the prettiest girl I know!” An exaggeration, but only slightly. There were girls who puberty had hit harder and faster than Peggy or Mary Ellen - girls with the figures of movie stars and the smiles straight from toothpaste commercials. But Peg maintained her best friend was beautiful. Hazel eyes that sparkled green and gold in the summer, with the slightest smattering of freckles across her nose and cheeks.

She knew Eddie Carlisle. Peggy sat two rows in front and one seat over from him in her history class. He wasn’t bad looking, by any stretch of the imagination. He had a crooked, boyish smile and messy brown curls that he constantly had to sweep from his eyes. But there were days when the only way she could differentiate some of the boys at her school were by height or hair color alone. Eddie was a perfectly fine boy in a school full of perfectly fine boys.

“He’s just lucky you said yes,” Peggy retorts after a pause, giggling when Mary Ellen launches a tube of lipstick at her.

As for the black eagles ot4, I'm unsure how familiar with Fire Emblem Three Houses you are but Protag/Girl Who Wants To Kill Jesus/Her Right Hand Man/Token Bisexual Actress is my default quad. And I was just feeling my wheatiess with them one day and scribbled out a little modern au for them! Something something intimacy through existing around each other in fluid harmony

The sizzle of battered bread frying acts as an alarm for Byleth, as the sounds of cooking often do. The way to that woman’s heart was most assuredly through her stomach. Unlike Dorothea, Byleth cared little for the luxuries of more feminine sleep clothing. She emerges from her room, rubbing at cobalt eyes with the heel of her palm. Her sports bra and a pair of boxers - whether her own or an old pair of Hubert’s, no one remembers - show off fresh bruises that cause the attorney to narrow his eyes. An eventful night at the Golden Deer, it would seem. 

He opens his mouth to inquire about the blemishes but Byleth cuts him off with a sharp, prolonged yawn. “Morning, Hue. Morning Thea,” she greets, the sleep still clinging to her voice.

“Do neither of you wear a watch?” Hubert remarks instead. Byleth muffles another yawn with her hand but her eyes sparkle with mirth.

hi, this might be a weird question but what do you mean in your dni by people who self-ship with your kintypes in a misgendering way? i don't know much about self-shipping so i'm not familiar with the concept :0 just curious!

the specific bullet points being referred to, quoted from my carrd:

i do not interact with people who misgender my kins

so by that i mean, shipping themselves (their real-life selves, as self-inserts, or as "basically still you"/self-projection ocs) with my kintypes, in a way that misgenders my kintypes and/or portrays my kintypes to be straight.

let's use frieza as an example, for the sake of clarity, because he covers all my bases...

i, as frieza, was a genderless* sapient being who went by he/him, and i liked men and an assortment of nonbinary and genderless people (the specific details are not relevant so i'm speaking broadly here).

so i, in this life, would block anyone who is:

a woman that self-ships with frieza

anyone who self-ships with frieza and calls him a man (or a woman, i guess, but they pretty much always call him a man)

the combined "anyone who is a woman and self-ships with frieza while calling him a man"

and finally, anyone who self-ships with frieza and calls him by pronouns that are not he/him

i also avoid people don't self-ship, but do use the wrong pronouns for my kintypes. if they interact with me first, and especially if they start misgendering my kintype on a reblog, i block them.

i also also block people for portraying my kintypes as straight regardless of whether or not they're self-shipping. this goes double for kintypes which have to be misgendered to be fit into a straight portrayal (again, frieza as an example).

and furthermore i ALSO block anyone who self-ships with my kintypes in a rape/abuse-fetishy way because. ew what the fuck. disgusting. stop it. get some help.

*note: frieza being a man is not canon, so this detail is not actually canon-divergent or really that noteworthy, but i'm including it for context because the dragon ball fandom is shockingly cisnormative.

Probably Aspirin or Sorrow, depending on your definition of angst. I think that one’s a happy ending, kind of, but I can also see how it’s not.

7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Sailed Calmly On, I think. It’s more explicitly bright than Somewhere to Get To’s end, and (I hope) sort of affirming.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

A few vagueposts. Only maybe twice to my (digital) face! People are usually on the whole pretty nice :)

9. Do you write smut? If so, which kind?

Which kind… not quite sure how to Categorize Them? Anyway the answer is: Yes, absolutely! I guess I’d say the throughline of “kind” is a focus on mutuality, decadence of experience (indulging in a fantasy, in sensation, warmth / luxury / soft treatment), and togetherness heightening relaxation and comfort. Or maybe I have a brand of smut I’m not aware of. I’ll take genre feedback, pls chime in.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest crossover you’ve ever written?

Nope!

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Also no.

Maybe drawing out thematic or symbolic resonances? Otherwise I’d say I’m pretty comfortable with thoughts/internal narration (navel gazing?).

Concision.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Not good enough yet at another language to feel confident in it myself unless a character’s quoting a text or a few simple phrases I know well, but think it’s great when others do!

RWBY kind of. Middle school friends would trade notebooks in the lunchroom and write fic of each other’s show OCs.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

Hard to pick. The S2G2 ‘verse is very special to me, and seems the obvious choice, but for one-and-done fav fic? I might go with End of All Octobers, which I’m still pretty happy with over five months later, and find occasionally comforting.
