Fine. I’ll admit it. I’m coming out as an I Robot, You Jane sympathizer. I like that episode. The first scene in the library alone like!! Giles’s snide little “of course 😒”. The iconic “if you’re not jacked in, you’re not alive,” line that I quote relentlessly. The interpretation of scanning a book as being the same as “reading” it, which is just (unintentionally) so, so fascinating to me. The way the whole episode as a Time Capsule of anxieties not just about the internet and technology and “stranger danger”, but more broadly about information and knowledge and privacy and human connection. The idea that the mystical and the divine is everywhere, even in digital spaces. Willow has a picture of her and Giles in her locker. She has a picture of herself and Rupert Giles. For the most part, Sal is honestly a very patient soul and is a wonderful listener not only when it comes to Kuja, but most anyone on the regular! Bragging or not. It even works out as she'd rather hear about others vs. talk about herself. However, she's not "perfect." She has her moments where, much like we all do, she's just...

Especially when it comes to inebriated, one-sided conversations she's likely heard at least once before... it's less about the brag part and more about the "I can't pretend I haven't heard this three times already and they won't even remember if I was listening" part. (I had to make the edit.)

In general, she tends to be that one guest at the party who's always more or less sober and usually ends up having wayyy less fun than everyone else. The 🌌 Sal vibe 🌌 becomes an inward vs. outward experience, at that point. "Not Here" Sal activates. 😆

I had the luckiest Mario Party turn ever

Used a gold mushroom, got three 10s, got 30 coins

Then, due to incredibly lucky star placement, proceeded to get 3 stars in one turn

This was after Mario (the CPU, who was killing all of us despite being Normal difficulty) had taken 3 stars from me in 3 separate duels

It was the world’s greatest comeback

You can see the massive jump near the end where I got the 3 stars in one turn 😆

thinking abt when we were on our 4th grade school trip and the plan for the night was for the whole class to go to a dance club for some reason and i didnt wanna go ofc (why were they taking us to a fucking club in the first place?? we were 4th graders??) but the teacher made me go with them bc she was all like "it would be irresponsible to leave you in the hotel all by yourself" so i went to the club with them and i fell asleep in the club
