ngl one of the most useful things i’ve internalized from doing art online is never tell people what to criticize. don’t preemptively apologize for things or point out where you think you fumbled, it’s just priming people to notice minor issues that might not actually matter and hit you where you’re sensitive and throw you off your game. don’t tell people your weak points. if it’s a genuine problem they’ll point it out

in the single, first, most impressionable episode that’s supposed to introduce buck, eddie and chris to the abc audience, you have them deliberately choosing buck instead of say, bobby (in terms of people eddie goes to for advice), who has two successful relationships under his belt and constantly gives eddie relationship advice specifically.

my secret confession is i think a lot of current art in comics is pretty but sometimes way too glossy and lifeless... it kinda feels like a sticker sheet where they just swap out generic stock poses that they have on hand for that character rather than the art being reflective of the actual story and moment the character is currently in

i get that the barbie movie didn’t show a lot of gender nonconformity or diversity with its characters outside of weird barbie and allan but the emphasis on barbies and kens not having gendered sex organs means that all of these very traditionally presenting men and women still don’t meet the terf criteria to be a man or woman because it’s an oversimplistic and reductionary way to define gender
