If I have learned anything about witchcraft, everything has to do with intention and protection. You have to be clear in your intentions. You have to make sure you are protected and practicing safely.
Remember you are continuously learning and growing. You’re allowed to stop practicing regularly and then come back to it later. You’re allowed to change how to practice. You’re allowed to make mistakes but always make sure you still putting your safety first.
Your practice is valid and so are you🫶

It's ridiculous how many exceptions to "thou shall not kill" people can come up with.

Do you have any suggestions for offerings/ways to worship Brigid? Particularly Brigid as a pagan goddess, I know she was later included into Catholicism as a saint because pagans loved her so much! Also would love anything that focuses on low energy things as I’m chronically I’ll and disabled! This would mean a lot to me! I’ve done lots of research on my own but brain fog can be difficult to deal with! Thank you and no rush!
Hi my love! As a disabled babe also, I get what you mean and I'd love to help out!
Offerings and Worshipping Lady Brigid
Tumblr media
First thing I found is actually that Brigid is associated with water and springs so water would be a perfect offering
Stay hydrated!
Light a candle for her! Brigid is associated with fire!
Bonfires or food related gatherings with friends/families/partners
She is associate with the Hearth/Home. The hearth is often immediately assumed to be the kitchen as wood stoves historically provided warmth for the families but now your hearth can be wherever you feel most comfortable and at home 🧡
Eat good meals!
Celebrate imbolc! Simmer pots are a great smelling, low energy way to do that!
Florals! Flowers flowers flowers everywhere! Brigid is associated with Spring!
Wear floral scented perfumes and floral dresses or shirts
Straw/hay was actually commonly used to welcome Brigid and her gifts into the home and would make a great offering!
Brigid is a goddess of protection and fertility so if you're trying for a baby! Do it to honour her
Alternatively! Take your birth control as an offering
Practice safe sex!
Brigid is revered as a healer, so take your meds babe!
Brigid is also associated with poetry and wisdom which means reading or writing poetry in her honour is a great offering for her
Domesticated animals are also sacred to her so take care of your furry, scaly and slimy friends
Dyeing your clothes, knitting or crocheting
Brewed drinks such as coffee, tea, beer or mead
Cow imagery (especially white cows)
Practice divination

Someone should write a fantasy story wherein they combine all religions. An omnist bible, one might say. I'd try to do it, but I'm not good with anything besides ideas. My skills with dialogue are particularly atrocious. But I'd love a story like that. Finding a way to connect Greek mythology with Norse mythology, and Norse mythology with Christianity and so on. It'd certainly be interesting to see just how many you can connect to each other.
I'd also like it if someone translated the Bible into modern English and made it into a ya fantasy story like Percy Jackson. I don't want to offend people who like the bible (my mom was raised Catholic), but I also cannot understand old english. But if you were to make a version of the bible with 21st century language, written in the style of something like Percy Jackson or Harry Potter, then I'd probably be able to read it. This applies to other mythological and religious texts too. Give me a version of the illiad written like Percy Jackson and I'd be happy to try reading it. But don't expect me to ever try the old english. I simply can't do it.

Faith is so difficult for me. I’ve been in many religions even though I’m only 21. I keep feeling this belonging back to Islam, as well with Hinduism, or even Gnosticism.
Then I am like, no, being a Eclectic Pagan is my truth path. Mainly because I will always feel like an outcast regardless of my faith. I believe all religions have some sort of truth to them, ie Omnism.
It’s hard because I feel as though I’m the only one who can’t find the faith I truly belong too. The one I’m meant to belong too.

studying hinduism just a little bit has been such a beautiful relief because it’s like hey. there’s an ultimate reality (brahman). a god beneath and beyond it all, if you will. and that eternal spirit expresses itself in literally thousands of ways through so many paths. because different humans need different things. the deity/energy you’re drawn to is the one to follow. this is how i galaxy brained myself back to jesus lmao

"Terracotta plaque dating to the Amorite Period (c. 2000-1600 BC) showing a dead god (probably Dumuzid) resting in his coffin [...] A collection of lamentations for Dumuzid entitled In the Desert by the Early Grass describes Damu, the 'dead anointed one,' being dragged down to the Underworld by demons, who blindfold him, tie him up, and forbid him from sleeping. Damu's mother tries to follow him into the Underworld, but Damu is now a disembodied spirit, "lying in" the winds, "in the lightnings and in tornadoes". Damu's mother is also unable to eat the food or drink the water in the Underworld, because it is 'bad.' Damu travels along the road of the Underworld and encounters various spirits. He meets the ghost of a small child, who tells him that it is lost; the ghost of a singer agrees to accompany the child. Damu asks the spirits to send a message to his mother, but they cannot because they are dead and the living cannot hear the dead's voices. Damu, however, manages to tell his mother to dig up his blood and chop it into pieces. Damu's mother gives the congealed blood to Damu's sister Amashilama, who is a leech. Amashilama mixes the congealed blood into a brew of beer, which Damu must drink in order to be restored to life. Damu, however, realizes that he is dead and declares that he is not in the 'grass which shall grow for his mother again,' nor in the 'waters which will rise.' Damu's mother blesses him and Amashilama dies to join him in the Underworld. She tells him that 'the day that dawns for you will also dawn for me; the day you see, I shall also see,' referring to the fact that day in the world above is night in the Underworld.'"

Hi there!
There's no easy way for me to do this because this isn't something I'm good at, but I'm hoping to make some new friends in the pagan/spiritual/witchy/etc. community. I don't know many like-minded people, and I'm also pretty new to all of this, so friends and guidance are what I'm hoping to find through this. And if that doesn't happen, well, at least I tried. 😅
You can call me Exos, I go by they/them pronouns, I'm in my upper 20s, and I'm a neurodivergent baby witch.
I've been spiritual for a while but never got super into the practice, despite how much I've been wanting to. Apollo sort of encouraged me to get more involved when I finally realized he was sending me signs and it wasn't all coincidences. Jumping into deity work probably isn't "ideal" for baby witches, but challenge accepted. That being said, I'm always looking for guidance from those who have been doing deity work (I know my practice and relationship with the gods are my own, but advice is nice) and looking for friends in general.
I feel like I'm pretty friendly, so if you wanna shoot me a message to say hi, feel free! (I say this knowing that I'm absolutely the type to overthink it and end up not sending a message even if I want to.)

It’s funny how I went from not really practicing to actively getting back into witchcraft and relearning the ropes literally because I rejoined tumblr and bestie started sending low energy practices posts

Hi! I’m not sure if you are still doing your ways to worship certain deities posts but if you are do you think you could do one about Lady Hera?
Ways of Honouring and Worshipping Queen Hera
Tumblr media
To note Hera is the Wife of Zeus and the Queen of the Gods. She is also the Goddess of marriage and childbirth and the protectress of women. She also bore the epithet Eileithyia at Árgos and Athens and was the Patron of those cities, giving her correspondence with Athena.
Learn her Epithets: Eileithyia, Gamêlia, Zugia and Teleia
Imagery of Cows, Cuckoo's, Peacocks, Panthers, Lions, Eagles and shelled animals
Peacock feathers, ethically sourced or faux cow leather, cow horns, snail shells etc
Research the celebrated "The Shield" that was held in her honour at Sámos
Research the Heraia
Self care days - baths with Epsom salts, bath bombs, face maks
Glamour magic
Colour magic! (Pinks/rose, purples, white and royal colours such as rich blues and greens)
Celebrate the solstices and the changing of the seasons
Any royal imagery such as thrones, crowns, scepter etc
Plants and Scents: lily, lotus, poppy, waterlily, maple, coconut, iris, rose, cyprus

Learn the Homeric hymns written for her
Set boundaries for yourself, especially in romance
