I do find it weird when I see people being like “but he/she’s a background character!! why are they getting involved!! they mean nothing!! what’s even the purpose!!”

You glance over at him as you nibble at a pastry you'd bought from the cafeteria earlier.

"you already said you did, no take backs." Toru says. "So, any plans for the lovey dovey day?" Iura asks Toru. "Uhm, Practice tying a tie? Yeah." Toru says. "Is that what Miyamura's teaching you now?" Iura questions as you both watched Miyamura attempt to tie Torus tie.

"he said he wanted to practice too." Toru replied. "Tada!" Miyamura said as he finished. Looking at it, it was a mess. Maybe the worst tie you'd ever seen. After a short pause Miyamura spoke up. "It's not appealing at all." "Uh, yeah you think?" Toru remarked. "Damn dude it's impressive how bad that is." You spoke in-between bites. "What is this monstrosity? Uh, it's freaking tight dude! I can't untie your stupid note!" Toru yelled.

Hearing the door crack open, You and Iura peaked around to see sawada peaking in. "Oh hey! Sawada just showed up guys!" Iura loudly announced. "I'm guessing you can for Miyamura." Iura continued as you finished your pastry. "No." Sawada said quietly. As soon as Miyamura greeted her she as usual ran behind him.

"I'm actually here for you Iura." Sawada said. "Me? Really? What's up dudette?" Iura questioned. "Uhm, do you like chocolate? Or no?"

Everyone in the room stood quietly in shock for a few seconds. You looked over at Iura as he looked shocked and shook lightly. "Y-Yes. I like chocolate." He said shyly. "Do you have a favorite?" Sawada asked as you stared in shock still. "No not at all! I love them all! I like bitter or sweet and I have no known allergies, kay!" Iura said with a big smile on his face. You stared at him as you could feel your face getting sweaty.

"So yup! Any kinda chocolate works!" Iura then said. "Got it. Thanks Iura." Sawada said. You could see Iura looking back and forth before reiterateing by yelling; "Any kind at all!"

"You wanna spend time and cash on chocolate for Shuu?" Toru asked. "Wait!" Sawada said surprised. "Shocked anyone besides Hori is on your list." Miyamura said. You nodded as well. "Kinda surprising.."

"Shut your mouths right now before you discourage her you killjoys!" Iura yelled. "Hey if you wanna make me sweets that's your prerogative okay?" Iura says with a hand behind his head. "Ugh- what kind of warped delusion are you living in to think I'd make sweets for you?" Sawada says with a grossed out look on her face. Iura stands there shell shocked. "I'm going back to class, where things make sense." She says as you four watch her leave. Iura stands there shocked still.

"Huh.. What!? She's the one who's not making sense, y'know?! Huh?!" Iura yells in a phrensy. You sigh a bit. Although you felt bad, it was revealing that Sawada wasn't going to give Iura any sweets.

After a while, Iura heads out for the day. You stand slightly awkwardly looking at your feet. "So, bet that was pretty awkward for ya?" Toru teases you as he slaps your shoulder. "Considering you were planning on giving Shu something?" "Toru!" You yelled as you punched his shoulder. "Ah you like Iura, Y/n?" Miyamura asked. "It's pretty obvious." Toru speaks up as you continue hitting him.

You sigh as you finally stop, looking towards the ground as you whip your bag over your shoulder. "I've liked Shuu for awhile now. He's my best friend though. So this I guess will be the test or whatever? Ugh. Why am I even talking to you two about this?" You turn twords the two with a frown. "I need someone like Hori or Yoshikawa." "Harsh." Toru and Miyamura sulk slightly.

"Well, whatever you get him I'm sure he'll go crazy. He's my friend, but he's pretty lonely." Toru says as Miyamura nods. "Thanks for nothing." You sigh as you open the class door. "I'm out, see you tomorrow." "Cya." Toru waves as you close the class door.

Valentine's day is so far away, yet so soon. You were pretty nervous, but still. This was something that had to happen. It is third year after all.

The day was here. You'd stayed up late into the night out of fear, but it was finally time. The entire walk to school you were a mess as you shook with nervousness and fear. You inhaled as you looked around the corner to see Iura laughing with a classmate. As you backed away a little, you felt a shove. You looked behind you to see Yoshikawa shoving you with a grin. You hid the gift behind your back before speaking up.

"U-Uhm Shuu?" You mumbled loud enough for him to hear as your blush grew. "Oh, hey what's up N/n?" Iura paused as he saw the blush painting for face. When he saw your hand behind your back his face suddenly also exploded in red.

You stuttered for a second as you took your hands out shakily, revealing a small box wrapped with a yellow and pink pattern and a cd that had a small yellow bow on it. "Happy.. Valentine's day." You said as you held them out towards him. He yelled as he shook his head causing you to jump lightly. He grabbed them from you quickly with stars in his eyes. "Wow really for me?!" He yelled. You nodded as you cracked a smile at him.

"The CD has some new songs I thought you'd like.. I'm not sure if you've listened to them though." You awkwardly laughed. Shuu nodded as he placed the CD under the box and opened it up. There were various different kinds of chocolates all placed neatly in a row. Shuu could feel his face get hotter.

"I made the fillings myself. There's only 3 of them though." You laughed. "Oh! And here," you said digging through your bag pulling out a pink paper bag. "For your sister and you to share.. I made too many for just you." You blushed more.

"Y/n.." Iura looked shell shocked as he just stared at you. He then laughed as he pulled you into a hug. "You're just the person I wanted to receive chocolates from y'know!!" He yelled. You gasped as you felt him slightly rock you back and forth. He backed up a bit, popping a chocolate in his mouth. "Mhm matcha.." he gapped as he spoke with his mouth full. You chuckled as you could feel yourself get nervous again. "so.. Do you.. Uhm." You stopped as you could feel more eyes on you. Suddenly you remembered you were in the hallways. You looked around in embarrassment as you stuck your face in your hands. "I should have chosen a calmer spot!" You yelled, startling Iura.

He then laughed as he closed the box and hugged you again. You slowly took your hands out of you face as you looked up at his face. His goofy grin was replaced with this serious smile, one you'd only really seen at his house.

"I like you too." He said softly. You gasped as you tensed a bit. You then relaxed into the hug as you hugged him back. "Good. Cause those chocolates were hard." You joked.

So I made it pretty clear that I don't ship Izuocha as I find it bland and that it's pretty much shipping 101 for a series.

But when you actually see the dynamic unfold, it really doesn't have the structure for a ship outside of them getting flustered around each other.

Uraraka called him plain looking at the beginning and even questioned if he was going to fight quirkless which, given his unspoken backstory, would've hit a nerve for him to hear someone he likes say such a thing.

And then there's the whole shoving her feelings aside to focus on hero work which, that I don't have much of a problem with since there are some people out there who would rather focus on their careers first before pursuing a relationship.

But this just ties back to Hori preventing Izuku from having anything nice because why is it only HIS love interest that's doing this? What about any of the other girls or even pro heroes? In fact it's been alluded that Kamui Woods and Mount Lady have something going on so heroes being in a relationship isn't something that's distracting or get in the way of their work.

But Izuku isn't entirely innocent in this either.

If this is supposed to be a couple that's obviously meant to be together in the end, why hasn't he had any scenes of admiring her or flustering over her? It's always been Uraraka.

Now if it was revealed that he doesn't view himself as someone worthy of being in a romantic relationship because of something that happened in his past, that would be fun to explore... but we don't get that!

But the cherry on top of this and maybe it's just me, but I don't like how this is a couple where the guy is only interested because she was the first girl that was nice to him. It just comes across as a bit unhealthy to me.

Now maybe if this was explored and have him fall for someone else, including that realizing that clinging onto the first person who was nice to him isn't okay, then we would have an interesting arc.

But I think that's just me I guess.

I totally get where you're coming from!

I'm not big on IzuOcha myself. If I'm being 100% honest, I actually really like their platonic relationship a lot more. They had decent chemistry in the beginning and she was his first real friend. I'm not saying they shouldn't be together, but Horikoshi should have spent more time on their friendship before even mentioning their romantic feelings.

The plain face thing annoys me, but Horikoshi shits on his own MC constantly for no reason so I don't hold this against Uraraka. I agree that the shoving her feelings aside thing is weird especially because we don't spend that much time seeing her develop as a hero. It's so focused on Izuku whole trying to not make things about Izuku. It's so weird. Like it's fine if it's mentioned or implied, but why it is more centered on her feelings for Izuku then it is on her growing and developing her skills? And you're right because Jirou doesn't do that with Kaminari even though she's way more likely than Uraraka to hide what she's really feeling. I like to chalk it up to Horikoshi not knowing how to write women as main characters.

I totally agree that it's weird that Izuku doesn't get flustered or embarrassed around her. Especially since he did in the beginning and it's implied that he had feelings for her first (or at least attraction). It's odd that Horikoshi dropped this (it might be part of him making Izuku less three dimensional and complex as the series goes on because if you pay attention, a lot of the qualities Izuku had in the beginning of the show really diminish).

Like most things, I like to think that IzuOcha is simply wasted potential (and maybe was ignored/disregarded im favor of you-know-who but I can't prove it). I definitely see why you don't like it

ehhh. probably not enough (for what i like to tackle, lmao) to be honest. but a bit! for shouto’s fic i kinda had to go on a glut of research about several different things (sdkfhsdkjfh) so that has it’s own doc with like, my notes and sources and stuff. screenshots of interesting things! it sounds impressive but i promise it’s really shallow, lmao, and i think the end result will be like, relatively light on all the stuff i’ve learnt but—eh. no knowledge is wasted lmao.

omg okay, but like, what counts as world building in this situation tho??? because omg, junie, can i just rant about this? im gonna rant about this LMAOO i have a LOT of opinions and ur here now so!!!!!! 🥹 soz!!!! but like, what does that mean tho? LOL. world building. what does that mean??? i see it thrown around all the time and like, to me in a fanfic it’s like… what world building??? we write fanfic LMAO. the world is built for us, that’s literally the point. i don’t consider the lightweight stuff of like, making up a guy and shoving him into a preexisting world to be world building. to me world building as a definition is strict: like, you’re literally building a world. you have to figure out a money system, what are coins worth? how is justice is carried out? how does that effect the rich vs. the poor? how do people clean their asses, what does the plumbing in their cities entail. what kind of crops do they grow and what does that mean for like, easy-to-make sweets? basically what i am saying is that i think to qualify for the term u need to build a world outside of the borrowed one ur writing in and quite frankly i don’t really consider the pro-hero AUs i write to fall under that category LOL. the hard stuff is already done!!! quirks have rules, quirk society has rules… it’s all neat and tidy. i just slip our reader-inserts in like barbie dolls into a dreamhouse and go from there. 😎🌴

Comte’s Drama CD: Track Two, An Extraordinarily Elegant Awakening

All right, I gotta preface this one with the content warning that it is so domestic fluff it may induce cardiac arrest. I haven’t recovered and it’s been like two months, so take that as you will. The title is pretty self explanatory on this one, in that it’s basically a morning between Comte and MC, and he brings her breakfast in bed.

I will say this one is less meta only because I spent most of it squealing and/or hiding my face in glee LMAO. I’m weak to the man of my dreams, sue me Additionally most of it is just Comte being so on brand of like: “share my time with MC with others????? In my me????? It’s less likely than you think--” That also includes being the most doting and affectionate husband ever, which is the only kind of energy I want in my life. (It keeps making me think of that post that goes something like “goth husbands who are hopelessly in love with their wives is the only vibe I enjoy in hetero couples.”)

Like how are these not romantic? Honestly, Hori could’ve easily made Ochako be part of all of these tropes, as the love interest she could’ve had at least been the one to know OFA secret, or even a moment where they stranded somewhere or in a mission to defeat a villain.

I guess that’s where mangaka don’t know how to write female protagonist, but if Midoriya and Ochako do become canon, they had a lot of space to have almost similar plot but instead of Bakugo it could’ve been Ochako.

She is a smart with a powerful quirk, and if she is endgame then I will have to agree with the statement that Hori doesn’t know how to write female characters. But that’s only if Midoriya and her become canon, cuz there was soo much potential to give her more character development, instead of giving it to Bakugo.

Bakugo is one of my favorite characters tho, and it’s fascinating to see the relationship he already has with other characters.

The position for best friend is already given to Kirishima. He was in the hospital when Midoriya wakes up after Bakugo got kidnapped, and states that this must be harder on Midoriya than it is to him, which is why he wants to go looking for him. Best friend is asking the closest person to join him to save Bakugo.

His true rival is Todoroki, they are always in equal footing, from the beginning with their developing ideas of what is hero, to them failing the exams, all the way to the war.

Bakugo is the only one with no love interest, which is okay honestly and technically doesn’t have to mean anything, but how are you gonna counter the idea that he is obsessed with Midoriya.

I know MHA is not gonna end with a bkdk kiss, or like them pronouncing their love for each other bc this disgusting world is still very homophobic. But I want them to at least be the first people to they see when they wake up from the hospital or something. Probably like a Mustang and Hawkeye relationship, not official but obviously something.

¯\ _(ツ)_/¯ but I don’t know, this is just me ranting. If anyone wants to talk about MHA with me pls message me. I have bkdk brain rot but I’m not close minded, I love all of the characters. And I know how people talk about Hiro rushing the manga, but he is doing it at the same pace as always. For example from the very start you have Midoriya getting OFA and it’s just like a montage of him working out, not much of a full arc of him training. And it’s a lot of character growth. The important ones have the scream time and other have crumbs but it’s enough for me to understand the dynamic.

Hiro doesn’t hold hands with his writing. So if he is just writing a very close friendship with these guys and not make it anything else then I been played. Bc they have examples of caring friends around them, like Todoroki, Iida, Kirishima and Ochako. Almost everyone at 1A are fighting for each others smiles, but none of them go to the extent of the wonder duo!

Even Aizawa states that when both of them are involve, they change the dynamic in the class. They inspire others to try harder and have this thing about them that even All Might admires about both of them.

For a school that’s supposed to be “the best hero school in the country if not the world” they sure don’t teach much heroing do they? By my count the hero lessons that these kids have received include:

Battle trials - which (raises hand) uh, yeah, All Might-sensei I know your all great and powerful and have a heck of a lot of field experience, but this is my second day at school. I don’t even know how to throw a punch. Shouldn’t foundational heroics be more… foundational?

We want to the USJ for rescue training!… and then we watched our teachers get beaten close to death and we never really touched on rescue training again. What even was that? Is rescue a course on its own or was it a one off seminar?

…choosing hero names… and, I don’t care what you say, this is a business marketing class. And why are first years marketing their forever hero names? Shouldn’t they have had an inter departmental collaboration with business students to do this? They had no prior instruction just, “hey, you might get stuck with this bs for the rest of your career.”

Oh, look, gladiatorial spectator sports where we watch a bunch of teenagers beat each-other unconscious for entertainment and profit. Blood for the blood gods!

Though that’s par for the course considering the school let’s shit like this happen.

Not going to heal you anymore. I’m sorry but that isn’t helping! How about some ideas on how he can stop turning his bones to paste instead of an ultimatum? No? Okay, great, I guess we’ll just not get medical attention then.

And then we have internships… yay? I feel like something should have happened before this? I don’t know something like a field work class. Mock patrols on campus… once again what do hero students learn? What is the curriculum here?! Because as far as I can see THERE IS NONE!!!!

And then we have first term exams…

ON WHAT!!!!!??? What have these kids been learning!? Hori, man, you can’t invent a magical school and not tell us about the magic going on in it! This is like if we followed harry to Hogwarts and he went to accounting class and generic magic class! What magic? Oh you know, the magical kind~

And we get to see All Might beat a kid with another kid to teach them about… cooperation?

Listen, this story has gotten under my skin in the worst ways and I just need to know how the MAIN GOD DAMN SETTING in this world functions!

Is there a reason why Bakugo is allowed to stay in the hero course after levying physical and verbal abuse against his classmates? I mean other than the fact that he’s a fan favourite and thus the plot has to bend over backwards to accommodate and validate his behaviour (and shove him into Izuku’s storyline so hard that they’re basically tangoing for relevant plot points, but that’s for another time).

Is counselling sessions too much to ask? Probably. I mean if mental health care was a thing in this universe there is no way Iida would have been cleared for an internship days after his brother almost died. Izuku breaking all his fingers into paste in the gladiator games probably would have gotten him benched too.

Thanks for the ask! Actually, I do plan to make some posts about my anime OTPs. As you can see how much I loved anime, most of the OTPs I loved are from anime series so here are some:

HAK x YONA (Akatsuki no Yona)

I really love the relationship between these two. They're childhood friends, Yona is a princess and Hak is one of the generals of their kingdom. Hak was already in love with Yona since they were young but decided not to confess to her because of their statuses. What I love the most about them is their antics. Hak is quite a bully and since he's already close to Yona since they were kids despite being the princess, he can pretty much tell her whatever he wanted to say, except for the fact that he loves her. Their relationship is already developing in the latest chapters of the manga but let's not talk about spoilers. (￣▽￣*)ゞ

MONKEY D. LUFFY x BOA HANCOCK (One Piece)

This is definitely not canon. But I really love their interactions and how Boa is head over heels for Luffy. Imagine these two having their own kids. Maybe they'll be able to use the emperor's haki at a very young age. LOL

If you're gonna ask me, I wanted an episode where Sanji will realize that Boa loves Luffy and will get jealous again just like how he reacted with Zoro and Hiyori. (Oh, and I do ship Zoro and Hiyori too)

HORI MASAYUKI x KASHIMA YUU (Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun)

GSNK is one of my favorite anime romcoms of all time. And my favorite couple is Hori and Kashima. They have this very funny senpai-kouhai relationship and they are both members of the same club. Hori really loves Kashima's face and finds her very handsome while Kashima thinks that Hori wants to be a princess and wanted to treat him as one. Unfortunately, there are very few moments in the anime so I had to read the manga.

NIFUJI HIROTAKA x MOMOSE NARUMI & KABAKURA TAROU x KOYANAGI HANAKO (Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii)

Otaku couples! Who wouldn't love them? If ever I get into a relationship, I'd like for my partner to at least like anime so we can watch anime together. Hahaha. Okay, enough about me. Going back to these couples, they really are fun to watch. They would bicker and fight just like any normal couple would do but their relationship also showcases their love for anime and games. I won't even get tired of watching these couples all day.

AOI ASHITO x ICHIJOU HANA (Ao Ashi)

I don't usually ship any couples in sports anime because duh, the highlight should be the sports. Hahaha. Who am I kidding?? At least, that's it for me. But the story of these two high school students really gets to me. Hana became the very first fan of Ashito because he reminds her of her first love and favorite player. Hana is very supportive of Ashito and they were already on a first-name basis at the beginning of the story. Whenever Ashito is feeling lost, even if Hana doesn't understand anything about soccer, she always manages to find the right words to say to him. For me, the author did a great job of developing the relationship between these two in the story. This couple is not yet canon but I do believe they will be as I am also updated in the manga. Oops. Spoilers. XD

AKABOSHI BISCO x NEKOYANAGI MILO (Sabikui Bisco)

I do ship these two but I guess not too much in a romantic sense but in a platonic sense? I watched the anime and read until the 2nd volume of the light novel. And with that, I can really tell how much these two care for each other. They're partners and even promised to be together until their last breaths. The way they are both willing to sacrifice themselves for one another, their banters, their interactions. everything. Everything is just so precious! This is not canon but, oh well. I can really see that they love each other even if not in a romantic sense.

And that's about it! I still have other OTPs but these are some I remembered almost instantly. Sorry, you had to read a very long post, Elaine. As you may have noticed, my favorite couples are not really some of the most shipped by fandoms. Maybe, I just do have a weird taste. ( ◡‿◡ *)

Hello again 👋 hope you're doing good? I wanted to ask you something else about bnha if that's cool? Do the heroes goals ever feel hollow in their course of action?

This mostly applies to deku but also to most of the heroes too. What I mean for example is, deku knows what hero society's flaws are (by being quirkless, knowing endeavor and lady nagant, and hearing shigaraki) but he still doesn't want to really change anything. I know that's already been said and there's a lot of disagreement on weather bnha will go anywhere with actually changing society but speaking specifically about deku, his goal as a hero is to save people (with a smile) and every time it's stated in the story or by fans I can't help but think: 'He kind of isn't though? Not really...'

Because while deku does help people in the present, if the people are just put in danger again tomorrow or not much later because of Hero Society's flaws, is deku actually saving anyone at all? It's just kind of odd in that way because deku isn't really portrayed as an oblivious/unintelligent protagonist but he can't seem to put cause and effect together? Which okay if that's not the kind of story hori is trying to tell, but if that really is true then until the moment deku does wind up saving his villain, what's the point of most of what deku does?

Is everything that's happened in bnha just brought to this one point of saving the villains? Don't get me wrong I love the lov villains but how would they be saved if their heroes don't yet understand how they got where they are? And in deku's case specifically, knows shigaraki (because it was straight up told to him) but won't fix what made him?

Shigaraki doesn't seem like he would accept a halfbaked answer, for him to bet his life or his friend's lives on.

Because it wasn't just AFO that made shigaraki, it the civilians too right? And deku has to realize that by now after everything he's been through right?

Do these plot points and directions confuse you too or do you think/see all this differently?

Yeah I definitely get what you mean, and I share your concerns. I mean I’ve been saying forever now that Deku’s still not in the right place to save Shigaraki and still needs a lot of character development first. It’s a big reason I keep saying we should have a My Hero part 2 where this “final war arc” just closes out the first part.

Like, I've seen the idea floating around that saving the villains now is more important than that society stuff, it can be dealt with later. Off-screen, implicitly, because this is the final arc. But that’s really based under the assumption that Deku & co will just do that out of nowhere despite all reason why they wouldn’t. I can only guess people think he will anyway because that’s what his character archetype does; but they only do that half the time and preserve the status quo the other half, villain-generating flaws and all. Guess which half Deku leans towards. (And don’t go thinking this would change off-screen either.)

That’s largely why I personally get so concerned for the fate of this country under Deku. An ending where he just beats AFO and saves Tomura without ever self-reflecting or realizing Tomura’s right (and a lot of reads I’ve seen of how he’ll save Tomura lately involve reducing him to a five-years old and teaching him he was wrong about everything, not the kind of person you go to for career advise) is one where he & his class just become the next All Mights…complete with letting people fall through the cracks, become villains, probably start working together, and loop us right back to here. Just one big example of Deku solving nothing in the long term as you described.

And I think the source of the problem is: the kids’ stories and character arcs have never been about change and injustice like the villains arcs; they’re all about becoming heroes who protect society. Maybe become the next All Might(s) if they’re ambitions. Any of their own hurdles like discrimination or abusive parents are just things that inform the kinds of heroes they’ll become; And on the off-chance they know other people go through those same things and that’s bad, well maybe being a good enough hero will solve that indirectly...somehow. But directly changing things isn’t on their radar.

Of course they want to help people, but they don’t want to do thing differently from how they’ve been done. The status quo is great on the whole (for them), and it’s not like every member of the League’s start of darkness happened under All Might’s nose, right? ...Oh yeah.

Anyway, that’s why until & unless both sides start seeing the other side’s points and get the idea they could work together for a best-of-both-worlds solution, I’m rooting for the villains. Deku’s goals provably don’t work, and the only way anyone can act like they would is by assuming Deku’s already realized Tomura was right by himself.

And, hey, if the kids aren’t gonna fix anything themselves, then maybe the villains can fix things and then the heroes can save them and stop the violence. That would be another solution, and it even fits what each groups arcs and roles are. Better than Deku winning now and hoping he does a million times better than All Might.

"you think i don't fucking know?" bakugou shoots back, his thunderous voice echoing in your ears and you are so, so glad that the two of you are in the middle of ass fuck no where and the only person within earshot is out like a light. "fuckin' nerd needs so much goddamn help that it ain't even funny." "and that's why you turned to the freak who can see dead people?" bakugou stares at you, frowning and you can tell from the look on his face that he wants to say something. but he doesn't and instead just looks away. "at this point, it's gonna take some cosmic, otherworldly bullshit to knock some sense into this idiot." you could almost call bakugou's tone affectionate. almost. 

I guess I would call this banter. And like the other lines I think it's so witty LMAO. I don't think it's necessary to say who they're talking about, but I do want to say is that the thing that Bakugou withholds is telling you that you're not a freak.

I could probably pursue writing this fic, but it would be too sad for my tastes lmao.

WOWIE WELL YOU SEE that would probably be the above. a fic that takes place years after bnha is over in a world where bakugou actually died. deku after years of harrowing hero work, is on the verge of losing himself and bakugou whose spirit has followed him all this time, finds you, a spirit medium who can see him and the both of you work together to try and help save deku from himself.

it's sad because like, when i thought of this idea it would have been a deku x reader fic, but i think that, there would be enough emotional chemistry between bakugou and reader and, well, he's already dead so we know how that story would end. plus i would hate deku to be like.. runner up lmao.

but i would like to remain as true to canon as i can and hori said 'nah we're gonna fix this boy right up.' so probably not going to write it.

for angst that i have written there's this very experimental nier fic that. was pretty angsty for me LMAO.

I mean shine on the sea it was really 'merman in a bathtub' which isn't... a plot I guess? But there are questions that could be asked like 'how did he get there? does he like it there? will he want to go home?' sort of things. It's about building around the concept.

Generally, when it comes to plot lines I try to not stick to hard to a very specific sequence of events like for & here i am alive, the main 'plot' is Reader's journey to achieving their dream of becoming a pro-hero. tho, i do have a kind of... outline of how I want that to go, it's not really set in stone LMAO. because sometimes.... things get outta hand when i write LMAO.

So, I’ve been seeing people say that Bakagou is worse than the League of Villains.

Really. A kid that was a bully is worse than an organization of kidnappers, murderers, and TERRORISTS?

Guy. Guy, please. Don’t do this. Don’t stir my moral pot and make me defend Bakagou—sigh.

Bakugou Critical and Bakugou defenses below. Both parties have been warned.

Okay, look; I will be the first to admit that Bakagou pulled shit in the past,t and the writing lets him get off with a lot. (Those will get their own posts.) However, all the damage he’s done can be repented for. And in his own way, he is trying to grow. However, he’s taking the long way (the VERY long way) because Bakagou very rarely, if ever called out on his shit. Name one time Bakagou was called out for his actions before UA. And even at UA when does he get more than a slap on the wrist? Not to mention the VERY few times people call him out they always cover it up by saying, that’s just Bakagou, or admiring his determination. It’s like a dog pissing on the couch, and you raise your voice for a minute, then give them a treat a second later. If you don’t teach them, they’re just gonna keep pissing all over the place.

“Well, he should just naturally know this” not really. While there’s no canonical evidence that Bakagou was abused, it is shown they have a very volatile way of expressing their feelings. So it’s only natural that Bakagou may have a bit of confusion about how to deal with others and how to express himself.

Because of all of these factors, Bakagou has to learn what he’s doing wrong on his own.

While I feel Bakagou has a long way to go, he does show remorse and, in his Bakagou way, is making a minimum effort. He is SLOWLY understanding what he is doing wrong. More than that, while the damage to Izuku can’t be fixed it can be healed over time. The damage the villains did can’t. Do you know why? You can’t fix dead people.

Now, the League of assholes I’ll admit are more sympathetic than Bakagou, but they do NOT hold the moral high ground.

Whatever sad story they have they caused damage that can’t be forgiven. Why? Because the dead can’t forgive. Tago killed 13 teenage boys (unless Hori changed that as well). Dabi killed 30 people—delinquents or not, he still hunted them down with the intent to kill just to get at Endeavor. And then there’s everyone who died during the hospital raid.

Death is still a big thing in this world, everyone knows that and understands the pain it brings, which is why even heroes only kill as a LAST resort.

Nearly everyone in the league KNEW what they were doing was wrong, they just used the pain of their own past to justify it. Tago knew killing people was bad, but didn’t want to suppress the part of her that craved blood. Dabe knew the same thing, but he only cared about making his father pay. Even Twice knew that committing his crimes of vandalism, theft, and assault was wrong, but did it anyway because he was angry that he was fired and tossed out on the streets.

(That being said Twice was one of the villains that could have been redeemed, which is what makes his death tragic. Tago—as much as I loathe her, I’m willing to give a SMALL pass to her as she basically never got help for the BNHA equivalent of her mental illness.)

Now, Shiggy is the ONLY member with a get-out-of-jail-free card as he has the excuse of being brainwashed his whole life. (And Kurogiri, I guess as he’s a reprogrammed animated corpse, but I digress.) But the others? They knew the consequences of their actions and did it anyway. Everyone who died or were hurt in the hospital raid? The destruction of Japan? All the pain afterward? That’s all on them.

Again, Bakagou did bad, and his writing frustrates me. I’m upset that he never had to face the consequences of his bullying, and no. The sludge villain incident and his latest wound from the villains don’t count. Neither was karma. It was the wrong place, wrong time for the first, and the second one is just a severe injury from a brainwashed villain. Now, if the villain was, oh say, the kid from the first chapter that Bakagou was beating on before Izuku intervened, then that would be karma. As is, it’s just a consequence of Bakagou being reckless. (Which he should have learned his lesson about, but I digress.) But I digress.

Bakagou is annoying (to some), but he—and the majority of the heroes—still have the moral high ground over the villains. 

And if we’re going to but the two on a scale, I’ll side with Bakagou over the terrorists who don’t care about the people they hurt.

So. I've got bad news and bad news. How do I even start? Let's go with my current situation: Please help me. I have been captured by Team Cipher. They've turned Comet the Suicune back into a shadow pokemon. I saw her three days ago, and she broke my right arm. Cipher is letting me have some time to recover, but they're going to want results soon, and they don't exactly like me, for obvious reasons if you've been seeing my posts. I'm not actually supposed to be able to post this, buuut their network isn't actually all that secure from the inside.

I guess it's not completely bad, though, I managed to get the cipher admin that originally got me into this whole mess kicked out of the team. He intercepted me while I was travelling between cities, and I finally had to do what I'd been dreading and running away from all this time: battle him. And boy did he kick my ass. Took down five members of my team, and only lost two himself.

But!

I didn't name my slowbro Event Horizon for nothing. I managed to get him stuck in an endless battle against me. Apparently, this, along with my "evil laugh" and "villain monologue" managed to impress him enough to offer me a job as a Cipher Admin. The pay was pretty damn good too, but I told him to get bent. I have no idea what he was talking about anyway, I was just laughing because I was stressed out of my mind and needed an outlet, and ranting angrily for much the same reason. Plus, you try getting chased all around a region for a month and not holding a grudge against the person responsible for it.

And guess what? None of that ended up mattering, because once he got bored of watching his vaporeon struggle against the brick wall that was Hori, my slowbro, he just got the cipher peons who'd been there all along to knock me and Hori out.

Well, maybe it wasn't all for nothing. Said peons had been recording the whole thing, and while he didn't seem to care about what I said, he was pissed when the video spread around team Cipher. Like, had a huge argument with the other admins over wanting me dead pissed. It probably didn't help that, after kidnapping me, he had a pretty public confrontation with me, where I told him that all he'd done was get himself humiliated while his peons did all the work of actually taking me down. Which somehow got said peons to side with me against him.

This whole debacle, was, from what I gather, the last straw that led to him getting kicked out and one of the grunts under his command being promoted to replace him.

I'm... really not okay. I mean, yeah, my right arm's broken, and I don't think I can escape like that. But Comet is very clearly hurting, and I just... have no idea what I can do to help her. I keep coming up with escape plans. But I have no idea how to get her out with me. And I'm not leaving without her.

So I just wanted to make something clear about Horimiya and to answer people who think Hori and Miyamura's relationship is toxic. First you should make a difference between funny moments and serious moments. If you'd do that you'd realise Hori never be violent with Miyamura in serious moment and neither is Miyamura with Hori. They both respect each other as much as possible wich is remarkable with their personnality. Then you should understand better they are in the mid of adolescence and imo it's normal they make mistakes and feel insecure abt some things. they learn to know their own body, their preferences, their ways to love and how they want to be loved. I find those particularities beautiful and it makes the characters more human (all the characters not just Hori and Miyamura). For example when Hori wants miyamura to get mad at her she is just discovering new fantasms and I don't think it's that weird to like the gap between the cute Miyamura and the cold one. Plus she knows well Miyamura wouldn't go too far. It makes the manga funny and when you don't understand this type of humour it's okay but you should just stop reading/watching bc it'll just make you uncomfortable all along. Notice again these moments aren't mixed with their serious fight, otherwise it'd be a problematic manga.

Then I'll add sth to people who invalidate Hori's feelings and insecurity. It is also part of the adolescence they are experimenting. Of course we all know it's okay to not wear make up at home but Hori just doesn't want her classmates to discover it and to see her weaknesses. She just show them to Miyamura and this is also beautiful. I think Miyamura overcame most of his insecurities when he cut his hair meanwhile Hori had a lot of trouble dealing with them. For example when she tries to act cute while watching a horror movie or when she tries to lose weight to be lighter than her bf. It is so painful to see that you can't say Miyamura's issues are more serious than hori's and invalidate hers. They all have issues and none of them is to put apart. At the end of the day they deal with those insecurities all over the manga (that's why I think you should read it bc the anime is good but it seems rushed so u can't understand Hori's feelings well) and they found a way to overcome those. Just bc we don't see Hori's thoughts that much doesn't mean she feels okay.

And to end this long post I'd say Hori isn't against Miyamura's bisexuality (yes he is bi I mean... yes). She is jealous of girls who come close to Miyamura as much as boys and I think it's a way to be inclusive?? She wouldn't be okay with Sawada liking her if she was homophobic I guess...

Hi I am so devastated by Bakugou's death. I got so attached to his character and his death was just... not handled well. I usually accept a character's death when it's handled better by the author. Horikoshi just loves to put him through so much suffering that his death feels so horrible. If he never gets revive, then all the character development that Bakugou had was for nothing. He's 17 and he deserves so much more than being failed by the adults. He got humbled so much in the series already. Give him a fucking break. I might actually take a break from watching BNHA and just read it once it's done.

So I started writing my reply to this before the developments in chapter 364, LOL, but I think a lot of it still stands because the whump treatment that Bakugou tends to get in canon is… it’s just ???? ?? ? Like?????? I mean, you say it in your ask Anon—“Horikoshi just loves to put him through so much suffering that his death feels so horrible”. To ragebait Izuku into unlocking the second quirk? To bench Bakugou for a little while? I dunno. I dunno. As soon as Hori decided to make Bakugou a proper character in the series, and not just a one time bully to overcome, I think it was, in a lot of ways, the beginning of the end for Katsuki. He’s always going to be apart of Izuku. And I mean—sure, that’s kind the nature of a story, lmao, with Deku being the Main Character but like—Bakugou has always, and will always, exist to serve and futher Deku’s plot. Bakugou’s suffering does, anyway. I dunno. How do you feel about 364, Anon? Was it a relief to see some kind of movement towards bringing him back? I don’t think it’ll go smoothly (why kill Bakugou if Hori’s not going to use him to idk, power up Deku somehow?), but I just feel sad about it LMAO. I’m sure the canon Bakugou we’re getting will internalise this sacrifice differently to how he did All Might’s, but that’s still… that’s still so much to put on the shoulders of a child. 🥺 I’ve been spending my time on twitter because I like it more, so I see a lot of reactions and one that stood out to me was a tweet from a Japanese fan who was like (paraphrasing a google translate here LOL), Bakugou is seventeen, he’s too young to die but he also has too long a life ahead of him to carry these lives on his shoulders, and like—!!!!! It’s so true. And I do think Hori has been like, building towards a Bakugou who will be able to carry forward with that legacy, and maybe not think of it as a burden, but on a meta level it’s just—it’s horrifying LOL. It hurts my feelings. IT HURTS MY FEELINGS!!! Just more trauma to shove into that bad boy, i suppose. 🥹 Good fuel for us on the reader-insert side tho, i guess, or any Baku-centric shipping. 🥹🥹 gotta look at them silver linings!!!

So I've been thinking who the last fight will be. Originally I though AFO, and like it's been said, Shigaraki could help take him out. But. What if....hear me out. AFO is defeated first and he tries to fully take Shigaraki, I know he already is kinda, mostly to almost complete but with his real body gone now he takes to his new home. Then that's where Deku will try to reach Shigaraki and pull him out of the slimy goo that is AFO, thus freeing Shigaraki. That way it's a combined effort to finally get rid of every last trace of that monster. It would be satisfying on so many levels. Shigaraki saved. Deku and him work together. AFO gone. And Shigaraki gets to have revenge on the bastard. I think everyone wants him to have a hand (no pun intended) in that monsters demise. Just a thought.

Um I’m not sure how that would work? (Again if I’m not understand what you’re saying pls lmk). I’m assuming in this scenario AFO’s physical body is defeated and then all that’s left is ShigAFO, and the rest of the fight is done in the vestige?

So yes I could see that happening. (The goo threw me off lolol). It’s kind of the opposite order of what I’m personally expecting and wanting, but also it’s not like, bad. The ending could work with this as well.

I’ll just say that my personal preference and guess for how it’s gonna go is (obviously details are missing) :

Deku and Shigaraki’s business is handled separately from AFO’s physical body. Both in the vestige realm where it’s just the two of them for their emotional aspect of it, but also on the outside where I’m assuming Bakugo and the other two main kids, and the LOV and Kurogiri and Aizawa will somehow be contributing to this saving mission. Maybe helping keep Shigaraki’s physical body safe too, and trying to snap him out of it on the outside while he is either rampaging or trying to seriously kill Deku alsjsksk lol

AFO prepared for this at some point (chapter 334 makes me think that AFO now has some knowledge of Shigaraki waiting for Midoriya to save him)

Endeavor doesn’t beat AFO. Imo it’s not his battle to do so. So I saw a theory that AFO could actually be fully healed under his mask and that if they were to break it soon, they’d see that. I personally would love this.

AFO somehow (don’t know how yet but you know how it is with bnha) regenerates his body and his body goes back to full strength. In this scenario he has his face reveal.

AFO is way stronger, more powerful, and by this time the battle in other areas has gotten worse and worse and falling into favor of AFO’s army and the heroes are losing bad

Shigaraki, Bakugo, and Midoriya all three make it to his physical body and Shigaraki is supported by the two of them to go in for the final showdown with AFO’s physical body. By this point AFO isn’t taking over Shigaraki anymore, because the stuff with Midoriya already happened. So it’s just them two, and Shigaraki puts an end to AFO—that being his final revenge but also being his redemption and saving everyone (this is really mostly why I think it’ll be Shig to kill him off, he needs a redemptive moment).

That’s the way I can see things going down give or take. That’s also just my own personal preference because I want Shigaraki to fight AFO and everyone to see it, so you know, in the heroes’ eyes Shigaraki is fighting for them, to save everyone. I’d rather it not Endeavor as that would be entirely underwhelming imo. Endeavor fought Shigaraki and I mean, it didn’t end well. Endeavor vs AFO is just so lame.

Buttttt I can’t write off the possibility that ShigAFO is still left after AFO is defeated. I’m wholeheartedly against Shigaraki himself as the final boss, but this scenario still has AFO as the final boss to beat so I’d be more or less okay with it.

Regardless of how it goes Hori has surprised me in good ways for months and months now so I’m not worried. I’m sure whatever it is will be good!
