It was SUPPOSED to be simple; go down to the Reaper’s Cave and save Beelzebub’s candle from going out (cause he broke a cursed record). But everyone finds themselves going through every level with some weird trial/rule/whatever and a certain group of troublemakers keep messing it up.

This whole situation is aggravating Jane with how they keep screwing things up and Lucifer’s already getting a headache from this, but for some reason he looks more tired than usual…

(Got creative with the type of curses these guys get after breaking the rules instead of just all of them becoming Little Ds)

Rule: Don’t look back. Curse on Levi: “Because you ran towards a voice leading to your doom, you shall become a creature that runs from any noise!” and it turns Levi into a rabbit

Rule: Do not touch. Curse on Mammon and Satan: “Because you touched something when told not to, you shall become what you touched!” and it turned Mammon into paper (which Jane had to fold most of his body just so she can carry him) and it turned Satan into a baby demon

Rule: No Talking. Curse on Asmo: “Because you spoke when told not to speak, your sight and speech shall be confined!” and it wraps a cursed cloth around Asmo’s eyes and mouth that cannot be removed

Obey Me! Nightbringer Lesson 35

It might be a very unpopular opinion, perhaps I will be entirely alone on this, but...

Is anyone else not into this?

I consider Lucifer extremely old fashioned, which certainly isn't a bad thing. So I feel like this gesture came from a very thoughtful, sweet, even innocent place.

But I'm the type of person who likes to wear what I wanna wear. I definitely wouldn't want someone else choosing my outfit for me.

Despite that... I chose the blue outfit xD

You're damn right there is.

Choosing my outfit and my meal?

Lucifer, my dear... you're crossing into unfriendly territory ( • ＿・)

Mainly because I'm a picky eater, but I also like to make my own decisions lol

Not gonna lie though, the power struggle is a turn on~

I wasn't sure which choice I wanted to go with, so I tried them all.

The first choice resulted in Lucifer basically dismissing us/brushing off our comment.

The second choice earned a pretty snarky/lowkey hostile comment from Lucifer.

In the end, I chose the third option.

That's a very bold claim you're making there, Lucifer. Try not to be too overconfident~

Ugh, there it is... "In fact, I know you far better than you know yourself."

Realistically speaking, if anyone ever said that to me, I would instinctively respond with an annoyed "fuck you."

But that's not an option here. And I can agree that staying in the Devildom would be the best choice, since I would be happiest in the Devildom.

Only problem is that we have to return to the "present", a detail that Lucifer is still unaware of.

Still.... Claiming to know us better than we know ourselves... for some reason, that statement makes my skin crawl.

It feels soooooooo manipulative to me. And declaring it as "fact" makes it even worse.

And yet... there's something about manipulative Lucifer that I really like~ (≖⌣≖)

I know, I'm fucked up and have equally fucked up kinks lol

Then we reach this part :

You supposedly know me better than anyone else, myself included, yet you laugh when I say that I feel depressed?!

He really is a sadist... (˶ •̀⤙•́ ˶ )

As someone who actually does have depression, this would have likely pissed me off while also making me feel super sad/gloomy lol

Though I know Lucifer probably didn't mean it in a bad or negative way. I think he's just enjoying the challenge that comes with our stubbornness. It may seem like I'm making excuses for him, which I absolutely am. And that's because I love this sadistic old man, so it's all good xD

Lesson 35 spoilers with all the pieces (hard lesson and locked lesson) you know how it is...

Okay I didn't forget about the new lesson, but I played it last night so my memory's already fading lol.

There are a couple main things that I remember, though, so here they are.

First, I love Simeon.

Not you, too. First Solomon, then Diavolo, now Simeon is laughing about Lucifer being his usual self. Honestly.

However, I really loved this whole part. Simeon telling you to close your eyes and listen to your inner voice... and giving you advice about Lucifer, a being he's known for years upon years.

What a guy. He's pretty, he's smart, he's sweet, he's emotionally intelligent... what's not to love? I swear this fandom sleeps on this man.

Meanwhile, Lucifer's brothers are busy calling him out.

LOL. I just thought this was so funny.

Okay, let's talk Luci real quick.

He's so annoying to me, I'm really remembering why I went through my hating Lucifer phase. BUT to be clear, I don't hate him, I love him, but he's also annoying.

It's like he's playing a game of chess with MC. He wants to win, but he wants to outmaneuver everybody so that it looks like MC is the one who is winning. I didn't need Simeon to tell me that Lucifer is essentially using our own feelings against us, in an attempt to get what he wants, which is for us to stay with him.

It's like what Belphie did, but instead of trying to lock us up, he's playing mind games. It's because he has way too much pride to straight up say out loud to anyone that he doesn't want us to leave. So he has to go about it in a way that doesn't hurt his pride.

Because in the end, that's what his sin is, isn't it?

I'm not concerned. This is what we just went through with the other six, but Lucifer-flavored this time. And really, there's no way to fully depict the sin of pride without making it all about mind games, being in control, trying to get what you want without seeming like you need or want anyone else. Seems pretty clear to me.

So MC is just gonna set that guy straight and then he'll make a pact with us and then we'll see what happens after that.

HOWEVER I did find this part extremely interesting:

YES. I WANNA BE A PROFESSOR LEMME TEACH ALL THE DEMONS ABOUT THE HUMAN WORLD.

Oh uh sorry for the caps lock lol. But seriously, like I actually want this to happen. I don't care about the salary (like these guys aren't keeping MC in style already), but I think I would lose my mind if I had to be a student again.

I also liked the explanation about Mammon's luck. I love that he isn't lucky at all, but the humans he's in a pact with are. I'm a superstitious motherfucker, so I'm constantly doing things in the name of luck. I just looove the idea that being in a pact with Mams would make me lucky lol.

Poor buddy. Just let me do the things that need luck and then I'll give you the profits. I'd do it just to make him happy lol.

Okay, that's it! The rest of these are just moments that had me cackling.

C'mon, Satan! Where's your sense of adventure??

Levi, my baby. We really gotta work on this. I can think of several reasons you'd be good to travel with~

I love him so much it hurts. Don't even bother, Luke.

Didn't this exact thing happen last hard lesson? Barb calls Dia out and he gets that little frown and says something like oh uh...

Also is Diavolo more concerned about Lucifer or MC, do you think?

All I know is I love Barbatos's expression lol.

The Cupid (or Eros, depending on your flavor) and Psyche myth has always been one of my favorite ones. So, when I saw one of the prompts was for mythology, I knew that was what I was going to create for.

Honestly, I had a harder time on who the suitor would be who was holding onto Miri. Currently, she doesn't have a set suitor, so I debated as to who I wanted to draw with her. First thought was Belphie, but then Lucifer's bday stuff started happening and that got me thinking about him instead. Plus, the symbolism of him cradling MC gently, happy to see her alive isn't lost on me (the almost parallels to Lilith would be a nice touch, I thought). So, that's the reason I went with Lucifer instead.

Pose inspiration was the Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss statue by Antonio Canova. I'll just link to the website but be forewarned that the site depicts other nekkid statues, so go at your own risk as you might see some marbly bits and bobs.

Just wondering if your still into obey me? And if you are have you heard about them not adding any new chapters to the game? How do you feel about that?

I very much am still into Obey me! And also, I have very severe depression, so I don't have the energy to actually play any of my games. I'm a fraud, I know 😂 but for like two months, every game on my fandom list, I log in, get my bonus, and log out. That's it. Writing wise, I just take a while to finish those pieces, because my ideas for obey me are always long form (side eyes my three obey me wips)

I have heard about that, this is gonna be a bit of a rant so it will go below the cut. Also if you don't agree with my thoughts that's okay we are allowed to have differences of opinions.

So, overall, while I'm sad that they won't be continuing the original game, all things have to come to an end eventually, and I'm only on like 35 so I have a lot to play through.

I think it's fucked up how they handled it, though. At first I wasn't interested in the new app, because I didn't think our character would be included, and I feel like I've built up such a bond with the boys that it would be hard on me to not participate.

Then they were like, you'll be there, just like time travel, and I was intrigued. So I preregistered for it, even though I'm exhausted about being back on square one with them. Idk if you remember, but it takes a long time for the boys to love you in the og game, and it would be hard on my heart to have to do it again.

Then they said, on Reddit, not in app not on Twitter that they will not be updating the app, and that night ringer acts as lesson 81.

This annoys me for several reasons! First, because their VIPs have been giving them money on the implications that the story would continue, and that their money and things would be worth it. Second, this app as a continuation alienates all the people who aren't finished with lesson 80! I was all for implying it's the same mc, but making it as an actual continuation of the story means that there will be spoilers for the stuff you haven't read yet. Also, why can't this be in the same app if it's truly a continuation? It just feels like a trick to double the income. A new app, at least to me, should be separate content. You shouldn't need to have played the first game to get something out of the new one.And thirdly, while I'm fascinated by their early story, I'm not fascinated enough to want to put up with how they treat us in the beginning again.

As I said, I preregistered, and I will probably log in the first couple days to snoop around, but I'm not super excited anymore. It just feels sketchy.

Y’all know how Devildom air is bad for angels? Well I’m only on lesson 35 or something in og obey me so I don’t know if it’s ever stated if it’s bad for humans and I forgor or if it hasn’t come up yet but if yes just ignore that for this

Imagine instead of Devildom air harming humans physically it corrupts them. Like the longer they stay in the Devildom the more unhinged they become. They start to enjoy harmful things like the death and suffering of others just because it’s funny to them.

This stems for my recent obsession of corrupt MC. They become more twisted the longer they stay in the Devildom but of course they’re not gonna leave. I mean how could they leave the brothers behind? But the brothers start to become worried because MC is acting weirder and weirder.

Like MC gets kidnapped and then when they summon the brothers and the brothers kill their captors they just have a look of glee and excitement on their face as the brothers rip them to shreds? I should write this if I ever become less depressed🫠
