im reading about fiend patrons and

this is only a very cursory google search about fiend patrons but so far, it all points to fiend warlock powers being an avenue to corruption and using it to "serve the dark interests of their patron". dark one's blessing means a warlock gains life from eliminating enemies, a mechanic we see in-game.

wyll not only fights against becoming evil but he also uses his powers for good. to save lives. to help and protect people. for seven years he's struggled with that possibility of corruption, whilst also dealing with the grief of losing his family and the only life he's ever known. at seventeen.

despite it all, he resists and defies his fate.
