The Opening Salvo, Cheap Glass For NIKKORheads! headache-induced rambling.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step – Chinese proverb.

Nikon is probably one of the cheapest Camera brands to get into these days. That's mainly due to the fact that the F mount contains some of the most illogically cheap glass ever seen on a system to date! But there really hasn't been anyone trying to make a modern day, comprehensive list of all of the little buggers that exist. This is frankly due to the ever growing fact that there is too many lenses for one person to trouble themselves with because there can only be so many styles, focal lengths and F-stops one can touch on before they themselves become absolutely stone-mad and try to eat the canvas bag that holds your camera. There are people that review them as they come along and itemize them and props to those who can put up with that kind of cheap bullshit. But I’ll not bring Ken Rockwell into this whole charade if I don't have to.

Or it will make me want to travel back in time and throttle whoever designed the AF-D 80-200mm F2.8 one touch to have its’ focal length be changed by jerking off the main section of the barrel.

People I tell about this place later say they thought I was crazy - until they went and then they loved with it! So when I say you should go listen to organ music when you're in Phoenix, Arizona (Mesa actually), give it a chance if you like music in general. This isn't your church organ! How many organs have over 6000 pipes PLUS a Glockenspiel, pianos, sirens, multiple Xylophones, drum sets, not to mention the 32 foot pipes (pretty low notes!) and lets not forget the cowbell. Those and many, many more are all part of the coordinated instrument. Simply put, this is the largest theater organ in the world! It may not be for everyone, but I think most people like it. They take requests and favorites are Disney classics, The Phantom of the Opera, Chattanooga Choo-choo (REALLY impressive with the bellows they kick in), and for classical good measure Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor. Getting a good pic in here is not easy! Most of the time it's fairly low light so I had to crank the ISO. Even then it was pretty dark. Lots of noise in the pic and you have to watch your shutter speed to keep from motion blur. I will say, I'm loving using Topaz AI software to help with those issues! It can't fix everything, but it sure can help a picture like this! Honestly, the pizza is average but they also have salads, pastas, including some gluten free options. Soft drinks can come by the pitcher and beers and wines are also available. But the real reason to go is the music. So when you're in Phoenix, plan on a evening at Organ Stop Pizza! . Jan 2021 .
