Thinkin’ about my Reverse!Robins meeting their heroic counterparts from a more conventional verse. Not “the other me” style, but the other person following their same heroic path. (Cass & Duke are left out of this one, because they’re both doing their own thing, so would just be a “the other me” encounter.)

Nightwing!Damian & Dick: “Look at you, all grown up! I’m very proud. But, I have to ask… what have you done to your suit/hair?!”

Red Hood!Steph & Jason: “Damn, you too huh?” very quickly turns into, “No, your costume’s stupid! Mine’s symbolic & meaningful, you just don’t get it!”

Oracle!Tim & Barbara: You’d think they’d sleep in shifts to maximize productivity, but noooo, they get all competitive about it…

Red Robin!Jason & Tim: Oh no, there’s two of them.

Robin!Dick & Damian: [Do NOT put these gremlin children together, the multiverse will not survive!]

nightwing being hurt in the field, and over comms he can’t get out what was wrong, nearly in shock, and jason puts on his best batman™️ voice and says “robin, report.”

and it snaps dick out of it enough to say concussion, possible broken ribs, and a gash in his side.

no one talks about it, and then a year later, damian does the same thing to tim

I think it’d be funny if Dick and Jason, due to wearing bright yellow capes on the job for years, are capable of stealth to a frankly unhinged degree. They barely have to try anymore it’s so second nature. Dick can just completely disappear while in the loudest neon clothes imaginable. Jason is constantly startling people who don’t understand how they missed a guy the size of a fridge standing right there. Bruce is extremely grateful for his unbreakable poker face because they have both startled him by accident and would never ever let him live it down if they knew.

Red Hood!Steph after rescuing Jason from the Joker (stripped to her undersuit, glowing eyes casting eerie shadows across her face, silhouetted by the burning remains of Joker’s lair behind her,) princess-carrying Jason (partially stripped out of his costume, more injury than boy, face hidden against her chest because it’s all just too much now that he’s safe,) out into the open. The other Bats, come to investigate the news of the carnage, staring in awe & horror at the sight.

Duke (first to get over the shock, because he has a few extra seconds to process it,) dashing to Steph’s side. Duke slumping in relief when Jason turns to look at him and Duke realizes he’s alive. Duke clasping Steph’s shoulder with a heartfelt, “Thank you,” before smiling down at Jason (a little too wobbly not to give away how wet Duke’s eye are behind his visor,) and promising to get him home.

Damian (the most overprotective of Jason by far,) following hot on Duke’s heels, gruffly telling Steph they owe her, and reaching out to take Jason away. Steph hesitating for half a second before forcing herself to release her grip and depositing Jason into Damian’s arms.

Jason grabbing the front of Steph’s suit with his less-broken hand before she can step away, eyes wide with panic. Jason refusing to let go.

(Steph glancing at Bruce & Cass, knowing full well how upset they’d be to have a killer in their home, before setting her shoulders, reminding herself she doesn’t care what they think, and quietly promising Jason that Steph’s not going anywhere; she’s just handing Jason off so Damian doesn’t gut her for monopolizing his little brother.)
