Empty blog? Blocked and reported as a bot. Do I care if you're really a person or not? At this point, actually no. Act like a bot, get painted with the bot brush. Because if you're not reblogging or posting, then you're part of the "an algorithm is coming" problem, and frankly I'd rather have the porn-bots.
Either participate on the Participation Hellsite or die by the swords of the tumblrinas, because we will not abandon our beloved mutuals in favor of your lazy, terrible algorithms. We will not go gentle into the social media cesspool. We will not surrender without a fight.

For those of you new to tumblr
If you want to send a message to me that could be posted publicly - use the envelope icon or the ask page on my profile. I do have the anon option enabled for asks too so you can use the power of anonymity to hide your thirst from your identity.
If you want to ensure the conversation is private (for some spicy times or talk to me alone) then use the smiley chat button.
Now, this is a side blog so I cannot send asks as "thirstycha" but will instead rely on reblogging posts or replying to them.

PSA for New Users/Blank Blogs/Ageless Blogs
If you keep getting blocked from content creator blogs there are three major reasons and ways to fix them.
🚩🚩🚩This is a Huge RED flag!🚩🚩🚩
Tumblr media
1. Update your avatar. Anything besides the default picture.
2. Update your blog title and description. "Untitled" is a red flag that you are a bot. Something as simple as "Here for the fanfic! 18+" will do it. If you want to follow an 18+ blog, add your age range or 18+ to the blog title/description to let them know you are an adult.
3. Reblog or post something to let us know you aren't just a bot. You can reblog some of your favorite content or make a post that just says "Human. Please don't block me!"
4. Please respect others' boundaries. If a blog says they are 18+, don't follow them if you are a minor. If a blog posts things you aren't interested in, unfollow or block them.
Most of all, be kind. Kindness costs nothing and means everything.

As an adhd person I just want to say that I love every autistic person on this website.
You guys are literally the best fandom archivers out there. I’m so serious.
If you are new in just about any fandom search for the one autistic person whose special interest your newfound fandom is and it’ll be like you just met god at a nightclub.
You guys are too powerful and I thank you for your service from the bottom of my heart.

The Unspoken Rules of Tumblr
As explained by someone who joined around 2019
Tumblr for all intents and purposes is not like other social media websites. Think the “I’m not like other girls” but they are not like other girls and it’s for the better. Having lurked around different social media platforms for years, I picked up on the spoken and unspoken rules that make this website more bearable than other ones. So here’s a list that will be important to new users.
Block but do not engage. Yes the rule that is understood by much of the user base and I think actually is one of the reasons why fandoms here are actually not that bad. If you remember any rule off this list, make it be this one. Why is this rule so important? Because flame wars often don’t change minds and it just creates a toxic environment. If you find someone that infuriates you, don’t attack them and just block. If they are really bad and pose a threat to people, collect evidence and do a warning post explaining why that person is dangerous but still block them.
Everyone here is a clown, even the famous ones. There is no superiority here. The number of followers you have often connects to how much of a clown you are. Now being a clown here isn’t always bad, many famous ones here make people’s days with their posts, but it’s not a contest here. In fact, fame is often considered a curse and once you have engrained yourself into the collective unconscious, you will mainly be remembered for why you became a famous tumblr clown.
Please hide your likes and follows. Don’t know how that started but it’s a thing here.
Likes do nothing, instead reblog. If it doesn’t fit the theme of your main blog, make a side blog for your reblogs.
Use tags. Tags are key here for both as a blog runner and blog reader. It allows you to quickly sort through things and see what you posted.
You don’t have to censor words like die or sex. We instead have trigger warnings tags that people can specifically block out if they don’t want to see content with stuff like that.
You want to been seen and see cool things, the algorithm is not going to do that for you. Instead you have to actively seek out what tags and blogs to follow to get the content you want. It’s more human and unlike most social media you gotta interact with people. If your feed is negative, it’s likely due to who you follow.
Don’t have a blank blog, the obvious bot usernames, or default profile pics. We are so used to fighting bots that we will auto block because of these. Some bots if you just try to click their username will get you viruses so we are careful.
Never forget the tumblr roots. Superwholock while often thought long dead still has a lasting memory here. It’s the websites heritage. Also add Hannibal and My Little Pony.
There is no cringe here for the most part. X Reader writers are just as valid as the artists here. We are all clowns because we are on this site.
Be kind and remember, people are just as human as you.
This has been you guide to Tumblr! I hope you enjoy this hellsite as much as I have.

Don’t worry, you’re safe here. What’s happening to your website is awful, and hey, maybe you’ll even learn to love this hellsite more (I recommend it)
Just remember one thing: reblog reblog reblog!!! You will be blocked if you don’t reblog or make some post, so make haste! Search a few things you like, reblog it, follow some people, then just sit and let tumblr take over! I’m sure most people won’t mind if you start talking across reblogs (use the tags to talk on the down low!), and maybe you can even become mutuals (best friends for life???)!!!

How To Get Good At Art:
Figure out what you're scared to draw.
Draw it.
I'm 100% serious. Are you scared to draw hands? Fill pages of sketchbooks with hands. Scared to draw faces? Draw so, so many faces. Scared to draw animals? Draw animals. Scared to use colors. Use colors. Scared to shade? Start shading.
A lot of people think you need innate talent to be good at drawing, but the only talent it takes is the ability to draw what you're scared of. Art is a learned skill, and the more you practice at it, the more capable you'll become. If something is scary to draw, it's because you haven't practiced at it. You've never done it before, (or you've barely done it, or you've done it once and saw how your first steps faltered and were terrified to take the next one,) so of course it's scary. Draw it anyways. Keep drawing it. Don't stop until you're not scared, until you're so familiar with it you don't want to stop anymore anyways.
Figure out what you're scared to draw, and draw it until it doesn't scare you anymore.

guide to living tip i.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
how to have a sweet little treat
a simple pleasure for some, a difficult delight for others.
i dedicate this tip to all you darlings who battle with nutritional "noise."
<3 rack your brain. are you actually hungry? or are other emotions clouding your natural signals? if the latter, decide whether said emotions are negative (ie. stress) or neutral (ie. a small desire for something delicious).
<3 eating a sweet treat will not ease your stress, and perhaps only amplify your restless emotional state. if you are anxious, take a rest. listen to music, read a book, watch a video, take a walk. remove yourself from the kitchen. find a treat in the form of self-care.
<3 eating a sweet treat will satisfy a craving, if you are in the correct state of mind. before exploring the pantry, mentally evaluate your yearning -- what do you actually want to eat? avoid overstimulation through intentional preparation.
<3 have you decided on your desire? calmly select and plate your treat. enjoy your snack outside of the kitchen. sit down. relax. sip a large glass of water.
<3 stay in place for a few minutes after you have finished eating. breathe. return your plate to the kitchen. exit. continue about your day.
you deserve all that is good in this world. and good things are best enjoyed in small doses. you have the power.
xx

Buggering fuck children I am BEGGING you to get an icon or a blog heading banner or SOMETHING to distinguish yourself from the bots. I almost blocked two new Actual People Followers because I thought y’all were bots until I noticed you had actual reblogs that made sense on your accounts (fortunately they loaded faster than I could click the block-and-report button because I was actively moving to hit it when I saw your posts!) and I already have blocked at least two others before I noticed but you look like bots and if you look like bots then people are going to instinctively block you like bots because we are in the middle of the Great Bot War of 2023 and if you are walking around dressed like the enemy we will block-and-report your asses before we notice you are not bots because YOU ARE DRESSED LIKE BOTS please PLEASE put on some Actual People Garb like an icon or something for fuck’s sake.

NEW TWITTER REFUGEE’S!! HELLO!! HERE IS SOME INFORMATION!!!!!
this will (hopefully) help you find EVERYTHING you need to help you transition, or to use tumblr and twitter simultaneously.  how to use tumblr
how to post effectively
how to set up your main blog
how to set up side blogs
how to turn on asks
settings to turn off (highly recommended!)
tumblr etiquette/unspoken rules
how the algorithm works, and a few tips
how NOT to tag posts
how to properly tag on tumblr (it DOESNT work like tiktok or twitter! pls read!)
how to not be mistaken for a bot
“why do people talk in the tags/why aren’t people using tags properly?”
how to make tumblr function a tiny bit like twitter
how to add themes (advanced, not recommended for beginners!)  “what is xkit and why do people use it?”
“how do I install xkit and how do i personally use it?”
“what does it mean to ‘blaze’ a tumblr post?”
how to blaze other peoples posts
“how do people share updates on news and current events on tumblr?”
some of the inside jokes
watch this video that vaguely touches on some of the scandals of tumblr (doesn’t teach you anything other than the past scandals of tumblr 😋)
some advice: if you want to get into a fandom, start following people’s blogs and like and reblog their content! eventually you’ll get a couple people following you, and you’ll build your own little community and experience here on tumblr.
lastly: the website and mobile version are VERY different! they have completely different interfaces. your experience truly will be different depending on which you choose to use.
have fun, be safe, and remember to reblog things and decide on whether or not you want to turn your asks on!

It’s so sad to me how scared the Twitter and Reddit refugees are of making mistakes on this website.
Dear refugees, as someone who used to be on both Twitter and Reddit but who uses Tumblr the longest of all sites (besides Youtube):
This is the website without cringe culture. Don’t be ashamed. You won’t get downvoted or beat up for even your weirdest opinions because frankly, 90% of the users on this website are either neurodivergent or queer or a mix of both (me, I’m talking about me)
This website is like the table of bullied kids you always used to avoid in highschool.
We all know we’re different, strange, cringy, obsessive.
That’s why this place holds so little judgement.
We aren’t insecure incels. We embrace our differences.
So if you want to talk about your unhealthy life obsession dedicated to a sidecharacter from an unknown animated movie from 1978 that had approximately 2 minutes of screen time - do it.
Heck even dedicate a whole sideblog to them for fucks sake.
This platform is literally what the ancient prophecy has foretold:
We are cringe, but we are free

For new users who are confused by tag novels
It’s an ancient tumblr practice from back when reblogged posts looked like this:
Tumblr media
If you reblogged and added a new caption, it would indent all the previous text, and if someone reblogged from you and added a caption, it would indent again.
Which means sometimes popular posts would become completely unreadable, especially on tumblr’s mobile app.
Tumblr media
To avoid this, people would refrain from commenting directly in the post, and would instead take their two cents to the tags. Anything from small comments, to incredible jokes, to in depth commentary could be hidden away in the tags to extend the longevity of the original post.
Obviously they’ve since fixed the format, but we’ve never stopped using tags this way. For those struggling with when to caption and when to tag their responses, maybe consider “is this addition worth making the entire post harder to read”, as that’s where it all started.
