I don't know if there's any Shisui-obsessed people like me out there, but if there are they should go check out Authorship on AO3 because there's some AMAZING shit on there, especially the "HOPE AU: I hope you'll reach those places" series which is about Shisui waking up back in time after dying and having to learn how to cope through everything that had happened the first time (killing yourself will fuck you up after all) while also trying to kick Danzō in the ass without exposing himself too much (and failing spectacularly lmao he exposes himself so fucking much it's hilarious)

Also with an unexpected but super cute representation of Shisui and Inoichi with a father-son kinda bond after Inoichi started keeping track of his trauma and shit as a child (and of course Shisui-Ino big bro/lil' sis which is also super duper cute I love them and I would die for them)

There are also a ton of other amazing stories and one shots alike and with not one but three Naruto/LotR crossover ongoing Shisui-centric fanfics

My current hyperfixation is The Untamed/Modao Zushi, but I write for whatever. I've got a lot of one shots for properties I think are neat like Welcome to Nightvale or Parks and Rec.

4. what are your top 5 fics by kudos?

A Passion for Mushrooms, Mountain Flowers, The Seedling, Family's Just Another Word for Something Left To Lose, and In Town for the Wedding. Four in Hobbit/LotR fandom and one Naruto.

5. do you respond to comments? why or why not?

I really try to. I appreciate feedback so much. When I'm in a funk it really brightens my mood, so I want to respond and build community with readers not just drop a story. And sometimes I go months without checking my inbox which makes me feel awkward about replying. It's a mix.

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Interestingly, Family's Just Another Word For Something Left To Lose, according to some readers. It's ambiguous at the end and *a lot* of people think Kakashi dies, which is not at all my intent. I was paralleling the same scene with Iruka in the anime, and Iruka survives. It did not occur to me that the ambiguity would be what so many people took away.

The one I wrote that's intentionally angsty at the end is all i hear is your gear, which has no happy intentions and is all just about Crowley being a demon in hell.

7. what’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

So much of my stuff is romance with a traditional HEA ending, but weirdly the ending I like most is A Spy in the Shire. It's a happy ending for this one oc dwarf, but in the broader context of the series I think it both emphasizes the Everyone Lives/Nobody Dies AU happiness as well as justifying the many sacrifices made in canon.

8. do you get hate on any fics?

yeah for sure. And I am sensitive about it. If it hits me when I'm already feeling low, I usually have to stay away from fandom spaces for a while and I often lose the motivation to write at all. It sucks. Some of it I can brush off more easily, like the Iruka/Kakashi shippers who come onto my fic to make fun of the way Mighty Guy looks and try to pick a fight. They are likely children and I just don't engage. But the people who criticize my writing or a specific story for reasons they are happy to detail can be harder to ignore.

This is of course a very different thing than the helpful folks who point out that I've once again mixed up desert and dessert. Y'all are lovely and I appreciate the help.

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

Yes, as the mood strikes. ...the kind I'm in the mood for? Almost always romantic stuff between a major pairing.

10. do you write crossovers? what’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Listen. Ron Swanson and Wolverine would be very good friends, actually. My Parks and Rec / X-men crossover is not crazy.

11. have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge.

12. have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes! One of my Naruto fics is available in Chinese and two of my Modao Zushi stories can be read in Russian. As I speak neither language, I can only assume the translators did an awesome job of making my writing smarter, funnier, and sexier than it is in English.

13. have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, but I find the idea of collaborating interesting.

14. what’s your all time favorite ship?

This is not how my brain works. I pretty much constantly have a Current Obsession and then pairings I still enjoy. Right now, Wangxian invented love, but I'll always enjoy revisiting a certain romance involving Mister Spock or the Leverage Pretzels and Beer OT3.

15. what’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I desperately want to finish my Zombie Criminal Minds series, particularly because being able to revisit it will mark the end of my pandemic / outbreak related brain gremlins.

16. what are your writing strengths?

I'd like to do more with humor. I feel like I frequently manage to provoke a sensible chuckle, but I've read fics that make me crack up. Someday, I'd like to write a really Terry Pratchett style laugh-a-minute story.

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Sometimes you gotta do it, because it's in keeping with the canon, but it's always best to do sparingly. If it's longer than a greeting or an honorific, I like to translate directly within the narrative or use a footnote.

19. first fandom you wrote for?

Slayers. Yes, I was that anime kid in high school.

20. favorite fic you’ve written?

My favorite child? Well, I've never really cared for Pit Stop...

I suppose, back against a wall, I enjoy the world building in None So Blind. We just don't spend enough time in dwarven spaces that aren't complete ruins in the canon. Coupled with thoughts on fantasy accessibility and the classic trope of tripping a romantic lead into a pile of literal pig shit, I just like it. Good work, 2018!me.

I totally understand the confusion, I only have one proper multi-fic series but there's a lot of topical and thematic overlap, so let's see if I can't clear this up a bit~

I'll colour code what fics in my series are directly connected, what fics are crossovers, when a fic is a (collection of) one-shots, and note when my headcanons (like teammates, Mangekyou shenanigans etc) are particularly important.

In no particular order. Most of them I have been obsessed with ever since I was a kid. 

Nie Huaisang (CQL/MDZS) - The only reason it took me so long to do this was because I couldn’t decide between NMJ and NHS. Alas, I relate to NHS the most, he’s also an incredibly intricate character that lives in my head rent free. 

Hatake Kakashi (Naruto) - Contrary to most people, I actually watched this show/read the manga until 2020 and I've been obsessed with this tragic overpowered ninja ever since. I think he is the character I have written/drawn the most about. I relate way too much to him, which is...strange. I am in love with his story and character development through the show. 

Louis de Pointe du Lac (Interview With the Vampire) - I must confess I haven't yet read the book, but I watched the AMC show and I FELL IN LOVE. I have Ana to thank for introducing me to this amazing, complicated mess of a man. 

Thranduil (The hobbit) - When I watched all LOTR movies, I was a kid and my aunt was babysitting and obviously I started obsessing over him and the elves when I read every Tolkien book I could get my hands on. I haven't written much about him but I do have a whole AU-Canon divergence for Oropher, Thranduil and Legolas half written on AO3. My version of Thranduil, Oropher’s line and the Greenwood elves is VERY different from the hobbit movies, though.  

Ned the Pie Maker (Pushing daisies) - Tall, sensible, caring, harmless man who loves to bake and is also an accidental necromancer? YES, PLEASE.  

Yue (Sakura Card-captor) - Imagine you are this super powerful supernatural being whose world gets turned upside down when the person you considered your everything dies. Imagine you get sealed inside the back cover of a book for 100 years and then inside the body of a teenager without being asked for consent and without being able to get out to live a normal life. You are also left without much of your power for a long time, and then you are given a ridiculously short amount of time to get used to everything that is going on around you while your twin and your other brothers and sisters get months to understand and process what happened. AND THEN it turns out that the dude that you loved so much didn’t died, instead reincarnated into some annoying bitch (who is now a different person than he was in his past life so meh) because he had some cosmic realization when he turned like 800 years old because being the most powerful magician in the world makes your common sense disappear, apparently...and then this annoying brat creates a cheap copy of you and your sibling, yikes. Imagine you really want to slap everyone but you dont want to set a bad example to the nice, cute girl who you depend on now, BUT DAMMIT IF YOU COULD YOU WOULD. Yeah. He's That Bitch™ and he deserves it. I support you, Yue. 

Azula (Avatar: The Last Airbender) - She is definitively the character I relate to the most, like she was 14 and learned very soon what happens if you get on your father’s bad side. She's a prodigy and what she needed in the end was some psychological help and then the throne, bye. 

Captain James T. Kirk (Star Trek) -  I want to be a Starfleet captain so bad, ISTG. He’s so much, a drama queen, the voice of reason, a disaster waiting to happen, a feminist, queer, The Captain, a nuisance, the smartest person in the room, mister daddy issues, mister “bones get that hypospray off my face”, mister I am in love with this Vulcan, mister I am in love with this doctor, “Dammit Jim!”. Yeah, him.

Crowley (Good Omens) - I read the book when I was in high school, it was the first book I read in one sitting without getting distracted. I loved those two. I love Crowley and the fact that he is always trying to cause havoc through elaborate schemes that inconvenience the human race. Ahaha, he’s the best. (Yes, I loved the TV show).

Dorian (Almost Human) - HE JUST WANTS TO BE SEEN AS SOMETHING MORE THAN JUST A MACHINE. He’s sometimes more human than all the humans he works with. I love Dorian and Kennex, you bet I have read every single fic centered on him or both of them on AO3. I’m forever sad they cancelled that show.

Naruto Founders Silmarillion/Rings of Power AU thought train

This will probably be relatively short since I've been mostly thinking of designs and how the major players would exist in this world. I'm trying (to my preference lol) to keep the dynamics relatively the same between characters even though I may or may not (definitely am) breaking a lot of canon from both series. This is most certainly a bit of a frankenstein of the two verses taking aspects from one and placing it in another. Im tending to use terms from the Silmarillion rather than Naruto, however there are still specific things from Naruto that I am inserting and keeping the terms of in this AU/verse I've been lightly braining. Take this little preamble as a warning that this is not necessarily one verse or the other. More beneath the line :D!

To start with, I think I'm going to detail the Senju and Uchiha and how they exist within this world, which is to say, they don't. Not really, they exist in a metaphysical sense, but not 'actually' as clans per se.

Senju in this verse is more akin to the political ideology of Internationalism. The Senju are of the High elves, typically of the younger crowd who didn't experience or only experienced the end of The War of Wrath (the war with Morgoth and post destruction of the Two Trees). Senju have arisen in the ~70 years after the end of the war and lack of Orcs being sighted. Senju are not necessarily all youths, but also others who wholly believe the evil to have been defeated and there is nothing to be concerned over. Continuing, the Senju as an ideal like to interact with Men and Dwarves, and the other persons of Middle-Earth. To the point, some Senju have chosen to walk the path of Men (most common in the case of halflings and those who have fallen for one of the Men, this also includes Dwarves (who doesn't love their short bearded kings and queens)).

The Uchiha, however, are isolationist elves. They are those who aim to leave Middle-Earth to return home. They wish to eventually return elvenkind to their ancestral home and return the Silmarils to where they rightfully belong. Some do believe that the evil is still out there and there are Orcs still to hunt, but not all. Uchiha tend to believe that they have no reason to be in Middle-Earth and honestly shouldn't be there. This isn't their land and it isn't theirs to lay claim too. Uchiha find it distasteful to choose a path you were not meant for, why would something so long lived choose a life so short. Why would one choose to debase themselves and leave all the good that comes to being a High Elf.

You'll notice I've completely left out the Sharingan. How the Sharingan comes into play is something I'm still honestly debating. At the current moment I've made a way for it to exist and how it works in this verse without super breaking it. However, you'll have to sit and wait while I explain Hashirama's and Madara's roles.

Both Hashirama and Madara are Maiar. For those unaware, Gandalf is a Maiar and the Wizards was another name for them during the time period in LotR! For the duration of this, I will continue to call them Maiar. Madara chose to incarnate roughly around the middle of the War of Wrath and live among the elves. He is commonly known as Madara the Red for his unique ocular powers formally known as the Mangekyou Sharingan (no power up yet you freak). As in the Naruto universe he is essentially a power style intended to represent the capabilities of the 'Mind'. His powers lie primarily in augmenting the world with his visual prowess and all the Sharingan entails. Madara likes the High elves and feels pity for them being forced out of their ancestral home and thus tends to ideologically side with the Uchiha. While not necessarily a hallmark of the Uchiha, he is a fairly prominent figure (the kind of political power you have among those lesser than a Maiar to have a Maiar on your side is insane). Unfortunately, the Senju also have a Maiar on their side by technicality alone. Hashirama has incarnated in the shape of Man near the end of the War of Wrath. He took a more simple route than Madara the Red had. Hashirama was known by many names throughout his wanderings, but became commonly known as the Man in the Woods with a more formal title given by Madara (in recognition that wow! another Maiar) as Hashirama the Brown. Hashirama when first incarnated lived with an elf and their wife who was a halfling. They had three children, of which were named Tobirama, Itama, and Kawarama. Out of the three, only Tobirama chose the life of an elf, but decided (upon reaching majority) to travel with Hashirama. Tobirama is a Senju, but doesn't particularly care for the details of either Senju or Uchiha ideologies.

Before I reach the meeting point for Tobirama and Izuna, I'm going to give a short intermission of where Izuna has been in this time and his relation to Madara. Izuna fought in the War of Wrath, he remembers being forced from his home and watching the Two Trees felled. At that time he hadn't reached majority, but reached majority in the first half of the War of Wrath. Izuna is very into Uchiha ideology and is an active pursuer of it. He has denied the reward to go to his ancestral home by the King specifically so he could continue advocacy of doing something to bring all elves home. Madara met Izuna's family fairly early on for their status in Court as well as Izuna being intimately involved with the war. Tajima is the one who taught Madara about his son Izuna leading the frontlines in the war against Morgoth and his Orcs and spoke of their old home. Madara felt grief for Izuna being so young and forced from his home. In this grief (insert funny magic moments) Madara granted a portion of his power to Izuna giving him the ability to manifest the Sharingan. Izuna thus became known as Izuna the lesser Red or Little Red as a sort of 'acolyte' for Madara the Red. Even if in actuality Izuna's and Madara's relationship became more of a brotherly thing.

Now comes, maybe 50 or so years post the end the war of wrath. Tobirama and Hashirama are finally returning to the elven kingdom in Middle-Earth. Tobirama and Hashirama at this point have made names for themselves out in the world, Tobirama was most often referred to by the Men of the world as White Knife for his coloration and his elvish lineage and on the occasion the Wood's Ghost for the fact that he will always be near when the Man in the Woods is around. Tobirama and Hashirama are first summoned to the elvish Kings court (mostly just Hashirama, but a King can't really summon a Maiar). Madara and Izuna are there, Madara eagrly awaiting his friend and fellow Maiar, while Izuna is curious to meet another Maiar and see if he could convince the elf by Hashirama's side to be Uchiha (or maybe they already were!). Insert ideological blows. Izuna is too insistent and pushy and Tobirama does not appreciate it at all. Funnily enough, Izuna is acting more 'mannish' where Tobirama the Senju is acting more 'elvish'. It doesn't result in blood, but it does result in Izuna flashing his Sharingan as a superiority thing and it becomes a huge issue in the Court. No elf should attack another especially in the presence of the King. Izuna is punished by being exiled from Court for a period of time. Hashirama and Madara come to sort of blows over this, but not much. Madara is curious about Tobirama and how he managed to get such a rise out of Izuna or why he got such a rise out of Izuna (could maybe tell Tobirama was intentionally getting a rise out of Izuna?). Maaah these are my thoughts so far, may add more later. I'm still trying to figure out how Tobirama's powers manifest. I don't think I want it to be a gift from a Maiar like Izuna's was.

Rules/Expectations/Boundaries

Hi everyone! Since I'm getting back into the RP community I want to lay out some ground rules, expectations, boundaries when writing with me. I want to start off by saying that I have been writing RPs for 17+ years, so I am quite experienced and well versed in what I do. This is strictly a hobby of mine that I'm trying to pick back up.

Rules 18+ ONLY

1. Please be literate. I understand that English isn't everyone's first language, that some may be dyslexic, etc., and mistakes are bound to happen. It's okay, but do try to be as literate as possible

2. Do NOT control the character(s) I write as. Don't get mad at me if I'm writing a character(s) true to their self and things aren't going your way.

3. No godmodding: that means no controlling the characters I'm writing for/as, no auto hitting in fights, etc

4. Do Mary-Sue characters. They're super annoying and take me out of the story.

5. Do not force any smut/sex scenes. It's super weird. There's more to story lines than just that.

6. I will NOT write incest, r*pe, SA, pedophilia, beastiality. Don't ask for it because I will not do it.

7. Understand that I do have a life behind this screen and am not online 24/7. I sometimes hit ruts with writers block and may take a while to respond sometimes.

8. Please try to avoid one liners. I write para, muliti-para, to novella type RPs. It's discouraging to me to write detailed responses and only get a few words back as a response
