Me Talking About OC ships because I am feral (and live vicariously through them)

Hiiro/Bakugou Okay, yes, I'm basic for liking him. What started out solely because I liked him has blossomed into something I can solely liken to: they understand each other. Bakugo, while learning to think differently of those without quirks, meets Hiiro, desperately trying to prove he is worth it. Que mutual training, a dash of angst and miscommunication, with a pinch of mutual bullying. They are one of the couples on here that makes it seem like they hate each other.

Kaisei/Tetsutetsu Lowkey is a crack ship because of her quirk. He tries to explain his chivalry, but that doesn't mean he sees her as less than her, while she shows off repeatedly so that he doesn't view her as weak. Peak miscommunication occurs because emotions are hard for Tetsutetsu because he wants to seem as manly as Kirishima and for Kaisei because she wants to reject soft emotions, which, in turn, makes her stronger.

Kaisei/Mineta He ends up getting redemption. His crush on Kaisei scares him because he isn't attracted to her body, not when he's too afraid of the girls in his class killing him. He's afraid to admit he likes her because the girls might chop up his body and bury him, but eventually he gets over that hump. They teach him a million different things to keep him from being himself (because to them, he is a pervert on top of being a coward), Which hurts in the end because Kaisei doesn't like the fake "impressive" version of himself, but the coward who comes running and like engineering but had to become a pro hero to make people finally respect him.

Icarus/Dabi "DabIcrus" I was thinking of a post-HotWings breakup style, not like the rebound but the healthier version of someone else. When I first thought of them, that's who Icarus was to Dabi. Since then, it has transformed into giving each other the love and care they didn't receive. Icarus doesn't exactly kickstart Dabi's love for himself but nudges him there with reassurance and someone to talk to. Icarus, down the line, ends up finding an abandoned kid, and they both raise Daichi together in the League of Villains.

Jun/Mr. Compress Jun knows he's a villain but isn't afraid of him. Although she's aware he is her enemy, he doesn't feel like a threat. Compress, in turn, doesn't feel any malicious intent when it comes to her, regardless of if she is a Pro Hero. Jun gets what it is like hiding behind a mask of herself, and Compress understands performing a different version of oneself. They understand. Lovers on opposite sides, but not star-crossed lovers (unless that is the trope).

Lynde/Chisaki He softens because she cares for him—a nurse who doesn't kick or inject him with a surprise fluid. She teaches him ways to exist without his arms (spoiler alert: she could bring them back with her quirk over time). She treats him like a person, and he is whipped for the bare minimum. He has an unhealthy mindset of attention and affection, so when she talks sweetly to him, he knows he will kill anyone who dares to lay a finger on her. Technically, she is Shie Hassaikai's property now. (this is the villain being hella protective).

Chisaki Hideo/Byakuya Togami "ByakuSaki" (Height difference). They have a power imbalance, or Togami wants to see it that way. Chisaki matches the energy he gives her and talks down to him like he talks down to her. And he's finally met his match. For once, someone isn't buckling at the knees but devoted to carrying out his every whim. Chisaki knocks him off his high horse and prays that, for once, he isn't a pompous asshole. Then, they have that heartfelt moment. One that their parents don't govern. One where they can express their desires and their plans for their future. Byakuya, because he is the youngest, feels that even though he has won his rightful spot in the Togami clan, he still doesn't belong as head of the company; he wonders that by giving him a lawyer to help run the company, he is being mocked and seen as soft and helpless. Chisaki wishes to be more than her father's puppet, to one day live the way she pleases in a house she wants that is all her own. They both despise that they have to work with one another, but then they get through to one another, and suddenly, it clicks.

Rose Corvid/Ed Nygma She's the fucking enabler, she enables him. But it doesn't mean she isn't as twisted as he is. Rose enjoys killing people and enjoys the games with the GPD. She loves watching Batman crawl around looking for a clue that has been under his nose this entire time. Granted, she watches the CCTV in her room from the nursing home that Ed has put her in for safekeeping. Ed loves how she worships him and believes he is the most competent man on Earth. No one could compare to Ed Nygma in her eyes.

Juliette Corvid/Harvey Dent It was a one-night stand; she wanted nothing to do with him. So what if they had a child? So, what does her cousin have to pretend to be her husband? So what does she dream about being a family with him because he was kind and caring towards her? It meant nothing! There are no feelings about that at all from her. Harvey, on the other hand, wants that family. He wants a semblance of normalcy. He wants to prove he isn't like his father. So, he fucking kidnaps her to prove his point.

Ethan Corvid/Jason Todd Jason, stop quoting Jane Austen! Ethan is internally screaming when he finds out someone likes him. It's inconceivable to him. He figured his cat would be his companion for his life. Jason never really understood romance until Ethan smiled at him. The dude was hooked by the black turtleneck and trousers paired with a white coat. The man was floored. Then, upon realizing that Ethan was related to not one but two of Batman's rogues, he had to rethink some things a little, which caused him to push Ethan away understandably. It was like a betrayal, and it took him some time to figure out all this hurt and pain, not to mention dive back into his trauma for answers.

Sebun/Uno Sebun thinks Uno is very pretty and is very confused about his feelings toward another guy. Uno is also confused about his feelings because he has liked women all his life, but all of a sudden, some guy comes in who looks like a pathetic, sad cat, and he's giggling like a teenager. Even after Uno discovers that Sebun is genetically modified, he still doesn't want to leave his side.

Vera/Rock Height difference. Jk, jk. Honestly, I can only sum them up as a guy meets a girl, a guy falls in love with a girl, and a girl likes him back. Like—idk, it's yearning, but not like, wtf do I do yearning? Vera makes it seem like she is blind because of what Shiki did to her, but Rock doesn't care if she is or isn't blind. She still had her smile, and it always made her day.

Kazue/Hajime The husband and wife ever. Like, please kill me. They are the cutest married couple I have created, holy shit. The bond, the trust, the love. It's all here and asdgsdfhsdhdsfg. They're both intimidating, but everyone knows Kazue has a soft side.

Roan/Regulus "RoanReg" "Finchseeker" Roan puts Regulus in his place. She bests him in transfiguration, arithmancy, and divination, but not potions. These two are always tied neck and neck in that class, and Slughorn knows. He made them sit together to stir the pot. She's a mudblood; he should hate her but can't because she challenges him. Then, they duel in the courtyard, and McGonagall detains them because students shouldn't be fighting. And then, when they're older, Regulu's disappearance crushes her; she's not the same. She hopes he returns home after so long and envisions her, Arcturus, and Regulus in a home in the countryside, but she knows it will never happen.

Linnea Cygnet/Severus Snap "PrinceFlower" Sunshine x Grumpy trope, except they flip-flop. In moments when Linnea can't be the sunshine, it's Severus' turn to cheer her up. At first, Snape doesn't want the marauders to get to Linnea and possibly hurt her because she is willing to be his friend, so he pushes her away and makes it seem like they aren't friends—until she keeps asking for potions' help. He couldn't deny her that. So, after a while, he allowed himself to become vulnerable with her because she wasn't James Potter, she wasn't Sirius Black, she wasn't a bully. But she couldn't be vulnerable with him because he liked Lily, although she didn't know he'd stopped after that day he called her a mudblood. And then Linnea dyed in the forbidden forest, killed by other Slytherins whose parents were Death Eaters.

Severinus Lyall/George Weasley "WolfWhistle" The best friends-to-lovers trope is all the way. I didn't think of this beyond that, but George is most certainly the most bashful one, while Severinus is more bold and upfront. TMI doesn't exist in Severinus' mind. It's outside his dictionary.

Arcturus Black/Neville Longbottom "Nevturus" Arcturus believes he isn't worthy of love because he is missing part of himself. Neville has all the love in the world to give and quickly gives it to him. They're quiet and reserved, but Arcturus gets flustered far more easily, making Neville flush. They're just nerds in love, dorks staring lovingly into each other's eyes. It's totally gay.

Sil Valdin/Obi-Wan Kenobi Friends, acquaintances, co-workers. The Jedi are not supposed to have attachments. Sil and Obi-Wan understand each other on a surface level because they both deal with the force and see each other at work, but that's all—surface level. There is no vulnerability or breaking of the Jedi Order for one another. They're very awkward lovers, unaware of how to approach one another, but can exchange a few words in passing.

Sil Valdin/Mitth'raw'nuroudo I was thinking of Rule #34 by Fish In A Birdcage, to be honest. They're different sides of the same coin. Cut to be the exact same as others in their ranks. Sil is a temple guard meant to blend in with the crowd, and Thrawn is among the Ascendancy meant to blend in with the crowd due to status. In a way, they see eye to eye, but after all the one-sided hate on Sil's part, they can share that part of them. There is uncertainty and fear within them about being like everyone else and not having an identity. It is comforting to have someone who knows how you're feeling. Thrawn tries to preserve Jedi culture by faking affection, which turns into legitimate affection, and he can't tell if he's faking it anymore. Sil opens up and lets down her walls when she finds someone willing to talk and doesn't shove down those negative emotions. But, of course, she was betrayed because he worked for the Empire. Girl, you know it would never work out. (but I want it to).

❀ building 13 movie theater headcanons !! ❀

YURRRR !! went to da movies earlier today so i kept imagining specific nanbaka characters in like cinema situations :P cinemations...cinetuations...?? YEAH-

rock is finding a way to smuggle in an outrageous amount of snacks. bro's got candy in his sleeves and chips in his pockets. originally only brought them for himself but ofc the rest of cell 13 beg him for a bite and he lets them cus thats just who he is. despite how much food he brought in he still finds himself missing the beginning of the movie bc he couldn't resist the heavenly scent of overpriced popcorn

nico is a slushy FANATIC. mixin' all the flavors, dumping candies in it n shit. totally the kid in the back of the movie theater slurping the last drop out of the cup hella loud when a quiet, tense moment is going down in a film. hajime's annoyed but stares daggers at anyone who tries to shush him. NICO'S FAV SLUSHY FLAVOR IS THE RED CHERRY ONE !!

uno, bless his heart, is absolutely the person who tries to predict the movie's plot before and during it. and the bad part is he's usually right. also the kinda guy to be scarily good at guessing what the characters are gonna say next lol

jyugo actually likes the movies more than you'd expect. always pockets the 3d glasses just cus he thinks they're cool and he likes that he can spend time with the rest of cell 13 without a heavy focus on talking or interacting. it's also a bonus that it's dark and he can sleep if he gets bored

it took FOREVERRRR to drag tsukumo out to the movies. hc that he's a much bigger fan of media without human actors in it because it reminds him less of his past, so the movie he went out to see with the rest of them was definitely animated. also likes the dark because it makes him feel stealthy, but he has a bad habit of stepping on each and every piece of popcorn or puddle of nacho cheese in the aisles...also insists on using the photo booth whenever he does hit up the cinema cus despite it all he still really likes getting his picture taken

yamato volunteers to wait on the snacks and carry them in while everyone goes ahead to take a seat in the theater. previews end and the movie is 15 minutes in but he still isn't there. everyone thought it was because the food was taking long to come out, but it's just because he forgot which theater to go to and kept circling until hajime and seitarou found him. prolly has trouble locating which seat to go to on his own cus he finds the letters and numbers confusing and hard to see in the dim light (totally not projecting)

seitarou has perfect movie etiquette and tries to get everyone else to follow his example, usually to no avail. his only problem is that he's too considerate of others and thinks he's being impolite when he's really not. the type to take the smallest bite of his food and tiniest sip of his drink so he doesn't disturb anyone. the kind to walk all the way around to the other side of an aisle because he doesn't wanna ask someone to pull back their seat for him to pass. poor guy, he even double-checked to see if his phone was on do not disturb and got shushed because his brightness was all the way up </3

andddd hajime. he's usually the sponsor for these outings since yamato literally can never find his wallet and seitarou doesn't have the heart to tell the others not to drain his bank account by buying ever concession there is. he doesn't let the inmates go wild with snacks and makes sure they behave properly while in there. uno tries to get the inmates to sneak over to another theater and catch the next showing but hajime catches them and makes them pick up the teensy bits of food they left on the ground. he's also the one who has the final say on what movie they actually go to, and even though he says he checks the ratings and plot beforehand because he "doesn't want to watch a shitty movie", it's actually because he wants it to be worth everyone's time and appeal to all of them at least a little bit. dadjime for the win <3

Okay, but Nanbaka is so, so much fun to write for and I laughed so much doing these! For the men of Building 13, I hope you enjoy these reaction prompts from this prompt here! They were originally supposed to be gif reactions, along with other reactions I wrote but honestly, Tumblr's gif system hates me and is crap. It took five minutes to load the first little pane of gifs despite my internet not lagging on anything else so these, and probably most of the other reaction posts I wrote, will be gifless and more like reaction headcanons, which is still something, but I do apologize for!

Jyugo

The character’s reaction to walking in on you naked

So, he walks in on you naked, and he definitely does mentally react because you’re naked. That is what you look like naked…that is your completely naked body he’s seeing. You’re very, very naked…it’s just really a lot for his mind to handle, in a way, but you’d never know it by looking at him because he just doesn’t seem to be reacting at all. He’s still acting cool as a cucumber and he wouldn’t think to even close the door again or to leave, he’d just kind of awkwardly stand there and might even ask you ‘what’s up? What’s going on?’ like it’s no big deal that you’re not wearing any clothes.

The character’s reaction to walking in on you on the toilet

Jyugo’s grown up in prisons, where there is a lack of privacy. Certain prisons he’s been in just had a single shared toilet in the cell he shared with others. He’s not really too bothered by people using the toilet then and it really doesn’t seem abnormal to him. Everyone does it and he really won’t react at all to you needing to use the toilet. He’d probably just grab whatever he’d entered the bathroom for and walk back out without saying much of anything because it is such a non-thing to him.

The character’s reaction to walking in on you having a tea party with stuffed animals

Now this one might faze Jyugo just a bit. He’d be just a little confused as to what was going on but he wouldn’t react too much, honestly. Jyugo is the king of nonreactions, honestly. He’d probably just ask you what you were doing, and he wouldn’t really understand why you’d be so embarrassed about the whole situation. If you had good snacks, he’d even ask to join in, especially since he’s never been to a tea party before.

Uno

The character’s reaction to walking in on you in the shower

I can’t even fully explain why but I am so, so certain that this asshole (said lovingly) would definitely stare and grin and wolf-whistle at you. He’d make a lewd joke or comment as you yelled at him to get out and he’s definitely not going to be quick as he leaves. He’s just casually going to saunter his ass out of the bathroom like its completely normal behaviour.

The character’s reaction to walking in on you waking from a nightmare

Straight up, Uno’s probably the best person to have walk in on you waking up if you’re waking up because you’ve just had a really bad nightmare. He’s really observant and notices really quickly that you don’t seem quite okay, so he’d be talking to you and getting pretty close to you quickly. He’s casual about it, just asking seemingly harmless questions like ‘can’t sleep’ at first, but when you confess that you had a bad dream, he’ll ask if you want to talk about it. He’ll pretty patiently listen to your bad dream if you do want to tell him about it, will help reassure you that everything is okay and it was just a dream and that you’re safe, before he shares some of his weird nightmares to lighten the mood and make you smile or laugh. He’ll also probably stay up, even if he pretends to be asleep, until he’s sure you got back to sleep.

The character’s reaction to walking in on you kissing a stranger

Nosy as fuck. Who is that person? Why are they kissing you? It doesn’t matter if he’s interested in you or not, he will be all up in your business about it and he won’t even wait until later, he’s doing it right then and there. He will grill the person you’re kissing about their intentions and what right did they have to be kissing you and so on. The only exception would be if the two of you were in a relationship and he caught you kissing someone else. Uno’s usually really animated, and his face is so full of emotion…except in that moment. It’s like his face and his body language just shut off and he looks completely devoid of any emotion at all. He’d simply turn and walk away and if you tried to run after him, he’d just keep walking, saying in a really forced, casual tone that the two of you would talk about it later.

Rock

The character’s reaction walking in on you making a shady transaction

Rock isn’t very subtle in a lot of ways, and he’d plain out ask what was going on. He’s not so dumb as to not know that something obviously wasn’t kosher in the situation he stumbled in on and he’s suspicious and protective enough of you to need to check it out. He won’t take ‘nothing’ as an answer either and will get the truth.

He’s a pretty hot-blooded male and if he finds you at all attractive, he’s going to gawk at you in that costume until you say something. God, he appreciates that view and his mind just sort of short circuited for a moment and he might have forgotten how to breathe, especially if that sexy costume had anything that looked like an apron…he’ll apologize if you seem angry and he’ll definitely leave quickly, with a very red face, if you draw attention to the fact that he’s been staring. You will catch him looking at you a lot more often for the next couple of days.

The character’s reaction to walking in on you in bed with someone

Again, this really depends. Rock would go absolutely berserk and completely lose his temper if you were in a relationship and he caught you cheating. Like, I hope your bed companion is fast because otherwise, there will be blood. He takes loyalty very damn seriously. If the two of you weren’t together, but Rock really was interested in you, he’d feel so sick walking in on that. He’d quickly close the door and would be stuttering apologies, but it would eat him up inside in the moment and for quite a bit afterwards. His heart would break, and it would hurt so much more than any physical injury he’d ever gotten and he might avoid you altogether after that. If the two of you were just friends though, he’d still quickly close the door and yell apologies and walk away as quickly as he could because he really doesn’t want to be around to hear any noises or anything. He’d be grilling you afterwards on who you were with, when that happened, what were they like to you, did they treat you good, did you love them…he just really does worry about you and wants the best for you and he’ll want to make sure that whoever you are sleeping with is not going to hurt you or break your heart.

Nico

Every anime and video-game and manga he’s ever consumed and tried to learn the moves out of, every training session he’s ever had with Upa…they have all led him to this moment and he’ll be pulling out every move he knows of to get the masked assailant away from you long enough for the two of you to run away from the situation together and get to somewhere safe.

He honestly wouldn’t get it. Like, he’s okay with you being in his bed but he’s just going to plop down beside you and grin and assume you’re in the mood for a fun sleepover. He’d be the type to smile so big and pull out a comic or suggest building a blanket fort with him since the two of you are in bed already so you guys can be comfy and watch some anime together. If you’re looking for anything sexual, you need to be so much blunter and more direct about your intentions than that. The only thing that might phase him is if you were naked in bed waiting for him and even then he’d probably just think he’d walked in on you before you finished changing into your pajamas.

If Nico knew the song you were singing, he’d start singing along with you at the top of his lungs. You look like you’re having fun and he wants to join in on the fun. If he doesn’t know the song but there’s anything nearby that could make an impromptu instrument, he’s grabbing it and clumsily jamming along with you for the exact same reason.

Hajime

It would depend on what you are to him. If you and him are in a relationship and have been sexual with each other, he’s going to be turned on by it and will take it as a sign that you’re in the mood and will happily show you that he’s much better than any video. If you and him aren’t already in a relationship and he does feel that way towards you, he’s probably going to linger for a second or two longer than he needs to, enough time for the image of you to be firmly set in his mind and for him to take note of what kind of porn you’re watching before turning around quickly and apologizing as he leaves, his face and ears going so damn red. If he doesn’t feel that way towards you, he’s just turning around and walking away as quickly as he can without saying anything. He’s going to pretend it never happened; he’ll block it from his mind because he doesn’t need to deal with that shit, no siree.

The character’s reaction to walking in on you in the middle of a mental breakdown

It really goes either one of two ways, and it really depends on if you’re a calmer sort of mental breakdown person or a more scream and cry and react loudly sort of mental breakdown person. If you’re over-reacting, in his opinion, or crying and being really loud, he’ll be annoyed with it all and order you to get yourself together before he leaves you alone to your ‘temper tantrum’ as he’ll put it…really, he just needs you to calm down enough to be even somewhat reasonable because he’s really bad at dealing with unreasonable people. If you’re more the quiet breakdown person or if you’ve calmed down enough to think even semi-clearly, even if you’re still crying or having the breakdown, he’ll probably just stand, smoking and staring at you until you inevitably start talking. He needs you to tell him what’s wrong, what’s going on, what you’re feeling or thinking because he can’t do jack shit unless he knows those things. He’ll tell you his thoughts on it all, using as few words as he can, and his words will be rough and blunt and they’ll seem really harsh but at the same time, he gives really good advice actually and what he’s saying is completely accurate and reasonable, even if he sounds like a dick in the moment.

Okay, Hajime is just fucking done in this situation. He’s annoyed because you’re piss ass drunk and that’s going to cause problems and you’re acting like an idiot but at the same time, he’s also really pissed because you’re kind of cute like that too and he just is not okay with that fact. He’s definitely going to call you an idiot and lecture you, probably because, while you’re already drunker than a skunk, you’re still trying to drink more while he’s trying to get the liquor away from you. He’ll make you drink so much water and will order you to sleep it off because you’re definitely getting some kind of punishment for your actions the next day and he needs you to be sober by then.

Seitarou

The character’s reaction to walking in on you having a heart attack

Holy fuck but does this boy panic in this situation. He’s a guard and he’s even got basic medical training, but he just cannot keep his head. He’s yelling for help, radioing for medical assistance, telling you everything will be okay, and begging you not to die and leave him alone with all the bullying people, all somehow at the same time.

The character’s reaction to walking in on you having an embarrassing fall

He hates that it’s his first reaction but like, Seitarou is strangely overjoyed to have walked in on you just at this moment. It’s not joy that you fell or anything but more like…it wasn’t him this time being caught in an embarrassing moment and it’s just such a relief to him to see that those kinds of things happen to other people too. He’ll recover from that initial happiness really quickly though and it will turn into concern as he checks to make sure that you’re all right, but the joy was definitely there for a moment.

Yamato

The character’s reaction to walking in on you throwing up

Yamato’s actually pretty good with sick people. He doesn’t get disgusted by vomit like some other character’s would and he does genuinely care and get concerned about other people so I feel his first reaction would be to check to see if you’re sick. If you are sick, he’s getting you medical attention and will stay with you until he’s sure you’re feeling better or that you’re as well as you’re going to get.

The character’s reaction to walking in on you masturbating

Okay, but assuming he’s still canonically married, he’s noping right out of there. I mean, it takes him a second to understand what’s happening and he finds it oddly really hot, and it definitely turns him on but once it clicks in his head, the danger bells start going off because, like, too much temptation and he has a wife and he is faithful to his wife, thank you very much. He disappears really damn quick, while shouting apologies both as he leaves and probably for a good minute afterwards. Like, he just keeps apologizing to thin air as his mind wraps his head around all the awkwardness that just happened.
