These are some of my high school textbooks. This isn't all, there are actually a lot more of my high school text books that I've ever owned. I have almost no science-themed books because back when I was in high school I majored in social sciences. These books are published in different years from many different publishers and also with different educational curricula. These books are placed in my mother's house. Hello everyone and happy World Book Day! I’ve taken a quick snap of my little reading room to celebrate books and all the joy they’ve brought me. I became a reader at a very early age and one of my favourite things about it is that I share the obsession with my little sister @chrissireads She is one of the very few people who I can be myself with when in her company - all the weird bits included and she goes out of her way to help me, check on me or cheer me up when I’m struggling either physically or mentally. We are going on a little trip to Bath at the beginning of April and I can’t wait. We’ll be visiting our favourite bookshop @mrbsemporium OF COURSE and I also can’t wait to explore @toppingsbath As if one bookish holiday wasn’t enough 😂 we’re also going away for a week to our favourite place to visit together, Malta 🇲🇹 We always have a relaxing time, stay in the same hotel and get loads of books read! I’m so lucky that Chrissi is my sister and she loves books just as much as I do. We can spend a whole day/evening together just reading with breaks to update each other on how our books are going. We also set each other funny little challenges in the form of voice notes for how many pages we should read in that day. Do you have a bookish soulmate? I’d love to know! Read of the week - Atomic Habits by James Clear This book focuses on easy, atomic habits to adopt each day to develop yourself, to master a skill over a period of time. Because as they say, "Rome was not built in a day". Author James Clear tells us his own life story and experiences how as a kid who was injured badly to the point he was in a coma and had to sit out a year of his high school baseball team to recover but he was not just sitting out he was developing and adopting his plan of atomic habits to come back even stronger. During his college days he not only played baseball again but he went on to become a star player of his team. Later as he grew up how he built a successful business and how became the author of several bestseller books! Guys, as new year starts we all become so pumped to follow good habits and make several resolutions to build a better us but hardly few people keep up till the end of the year as the initial enthusiasm wanes and we fall back to our old lazy patterns.
