i really like how canonically yuu is genuinely supportive of grim wanting to be a great mage. if i recall correctly, even character voice lines point this out. and it seems like yuu dotes on grim a lot and defends him too??? yuu even encourages grim's ambitions whenever he declares wanting to be a great mage. and also when he does that boss-henchhuman dynamic. i mean yeah you can interpret it as yuu saying that being condescending and sarcastic as if they're talking to a child saying "when i grow up i want to be famous!" but like. i really think they're genuine when mc loves grim in their own way.
even if grim is usually a menace, he's become like family to yuu.
and i'm pretty sure grim feels the same way.
think about it this way. despite all the mess, all the unpredictability, the danger, and all the drama being in nrc. what's always the constant? yuu goes home at the end of the day to the ramshackle dorm (basically their home at this point considering they slowly but surely fix it up over time) and with who? “the great mage” grim. as the sole outcasts in that academy, they both sleep soundly knowing they will always have each other at the end of the day.

Look. I know I am overthinking everything ever. I know. But there’s such a big fucking difference between howdys business and how it intertwines with his character and Eddie’s, because like LOOK BRO
The SMALL ASS TEXT THAT HAS EDDIES NAME???? COMPARED TO THE LARGE EMPHASIS THAT HOWDY HAS FOR HIS BUSINESS AND HIMSLEF???
Like Eddie’s name is so small and insignificant to the post office compared to howdys sign, like Eddie can barely find a place for himself and who he actually is outside of his function as a mailman- where as howdys name is the first thing for his sign! It’s huge! Like it’s a part of who he is, it’s a part of his love for jokes and laughter- compared to Eddie where it seems more of an all consuming way for him to lose himself in what he can function as, and not who he actually is. Which, ya know, kinda explains the whole breakdown before the party for home warming, because taking away his function leaves him with the little part of himself that he always seems too busy to express.
Chat this is devastating I need to be put down

i wouldn't like- stake my life on this like i would my "pentious watches the other hotel goers sleep because he's working up the nerve to ask to cuddle them" theory but-
what if Zestiel is the one that owns Alastor's soul?
i started thinking about it when Alastor's magic was like- lime green? which on it's own wouldn't of meant anything to me, but it's also the color of the stitches keeping his smile in place
and coincidentally the same color as the stitching on Zestiel's hat
he went headlights the second Zestiel showed up, which only happened one other time when Adam broke his microphone
also, why would Alastor agree to stay out of a fight? He loves drama, he loves picking fights, he thinks angels taste good, and clearly he doesn't mind taunting people stronger than him {Lucifer, Adam, Charlie}
-> Zestiel can move by shadow, Alastor can command shadow
"I'm sure you've all been wondering~"
"Not really. But welcome back in any case."
Zestiel and Carmilla obviously trust each other more than they trust anyone else, why wonder about their probably most dangerous overlord's disappearance when he can easily be recalled?
now, i don't think it's incredibly plausible or that this has any actual standing; but a lot of it aligns a little too well. after all, what do we really know about Zestiel?
on the other hand, Alastor and Lillith's disappearance align suspiciously too
-> for all we know, Eve is the one that owns Alastor

the unrequited dilemma between Vox and alastor isn’t that alastor is aroace and doesn’t reciprocate romantic or sexual feelings (tho that’s also a factor lol) it’s more so that Alastor hates Tv and modern technology and Vox has a literal tv head 😭 imagine admiring and dare I say loving someone only for them to refuse to associate with you because they fundamentally oppose the foundation of who u r. That shit runs deeper then ur sexual identities not being compatible
