Tbhk 112 theory:
What if the plant represents hanako?
Nene puts a lot of effort into caring for it and getting it to grow and bloom (open up)
And then yako shows up and tells her that no matter how hard she tries it won't grow because it's already rotted (already dead)
And then hands her a grown plant and tells her that it came from the variety of seeds and it's Never had any disease (Amane's illness) and it's managed to grow big and strong (amane in this new timeline being all grown up)
And then he takes away her plant which makes her panic and shout out that no!! It means a lot to me!! (Hanako)
The way she was trying to take a break and tend to her plant (be with hanako) after suffering all the things that happened (her lifespan, Severance etc) just for the clockkeepers to show up and take him away from her and give her a replacement and expect her to be okay with it

Promise?
His look, initially surprised by the invitation, but later melancholic, as if he already knew he couldn't go and see her sing, as if he already knew he couldn't see her eyes shining when she found him in the audience.
The melancholy of those eyes, which always reflect an anguish stored in the chest, always accompanied by the phrase "I won't be able to be where you want me to be"
I won't be able to be who you want me to be.
Hanako is everything that Nene didn't want, and when he became what she wanted, in the great dream arc, when he became Amane again, she realized that he still wasn't what she wanted, it was him, It was Hanako.
But… Hanako doesn't like being him, Hanako means not having freedom, having no choice but to suffer for the choices he made in the past, it's simply accepting that he will no longer have a future.
But that doesn't mean he's going to give up.
Because in the end…. Ah yes….. In the end he will still be there
Because he still dreams of being able to hear her sing, being able to hear her voice calling his name, being able to laugh about silly things with her, being able to have a future.
Yeah…. Hanako, the boy who chose not to have a future, even when he wanted one so much.
Is he happy now? I wonder.
