part of me is sad that armand doesn’t have his beautiful brown doe eyes of the books in the amc show which is especially a shame since Assad zaman has literally the most perfect armand eyes of all time just inherently, but also the other part of me is very very excited by the all the color symbolism opportunities that come with Armand’s eyes literally being red (color that he uses heavily in TVA to represent agony and also to represent marius and sometimes to represent lust/love in the way agony and love cross for him) so like Armand’s vampiric eyes being red is almost like he is always seeing red, which is rlly grim and interesting in a lot of different ways. I’m intrigued as hell I love armand color symbolism more then everything

Based in my headcanon that since armand is described as hella androgynous and gets mistaken for a girl in canon I think that in the yr of our lord 2024 he’d probably be mistaken/perceived as transmasc often enough, which would lend itself to some confusing situations for Mr 500 yrs old. I’m sure I’ve talked about this b4 but it makes me crazy so, friendly reminder that Armand and Andrei overlap in meaning. Armand translates to a soldier or a warrior, or just a man who is armed, and Andrei translates to strong, brave, warrior, and masculine. I have thoughts about him being given the name armand by the cult as a marking of his status as an executioner for God and how even when he leaves the cult (for a good chunk of his immortal life) he goes on to view violence as a necessary duty he needs to perform to upkeep his safety in the perceived never ending battle (despite not particularly enjoying violence or wanting to be a violent person), all very sad. And yet also there is smth sentimental about armand keeping the name armand during his eventual self improvement healing era by the end of the series and giving the label of warrior a new meaning— thereby in a sense returning to Andrei (the person he has possibly always been deep down). Armand is a warrior now as in someone who is strong and brave and has managed to persevere and survive this long despite it all. I love that, as he deserves. he made it <3

(Not even to mention that since Amadeo is beloved of god armand is, if u take all of his names into account, gods strongest soldier. Lmaoo)
