You had heard about Leon's fame for inviting people to dinner before you got to work with him. Have you heard the best defense is the attack? So, of course, you took the initiative and invited him first before Agent Kennedy could even pop out the famous question. His surprised face made it all worth it, and you had to bite your lips to not laugh at his face.

"You want to take me on a dinner?" Leon wonders, his voice half shocked or half scared. You had never seen Leon Kennedy that stunned, not even while facing the terrors of bioterrorism, and something inside of you seemed to light up.

"Yeah. I wouldn't call it a date just yet." You decide to tease him a little further just to see his reaction.

Leon brought his hand to rub his neck, his blue eyes looking anywhere but your face. Is it your impression, or is THE Leon Kennedy blushing? Oh no, he is, the faint rouge color spreading over his cheeks, for more he is trying to hide with his darker golden locks covering his face. You want to ask if the cat cut his tongue, and Leon finally answers an embarrassed "yes," and you think you saw a small smile on the corner of his mouth.

So fast forward to Saturday night, you two are sitting at the table of the famous Mario's Cuisine, one of your favorite spots for Italian food. You tell yourself that it is not a date as Leon passes his eyes over the menu. He doesn't look too overly dressed, although the smell of his cologne has never been this strong before.

After your orders are taken, there is just silence at the table. You observe all the other couples on their romantic dates night, talking, laughing, and staring at each other romantically. You decide any conversation would be good at this point.

"So what do you think? Nice place, huh?"

"Yeah, Italian food. One of my favorite foods. Never been here, though."

"Oh, you will love it!" You exclaim, overly exaggerating with your hands. Not that you are getting nervous now, but you probably are, observing the candles flickering before you. "So, mhm, I just want to clarify something, by the way."

"Yeah? What is it?"

Before you can explain this isn't exactly a date, or you never would want to make him uncomfortable, the waitress returns with the wine, smiling ear to ear. You sigh, thanking, and the conversation dies down again.

You can feel Leon scanning you, wanting to say something, but he just can't bring himself to articulate. He is nervous, rubbing his hands over the table, hoping you haven't noticed yet. Before you can think this was all a mistake Leon gathers his courage to ask, his voice unsure.

"So, do you like Italian food?"

You stare at him for a second before chuckling. He smirks back, relieved. Until the food arrives, you two are in a very heated debate over Italian food: red or white wine? Lasagna or spaghetti? Meatball pasta or fettuccine alfredo? It is interesting to learn how much Leon and you love food and how much he actually knows about cooking.

"Wow, you know a lot, Leon!" You exclaim, astonished, and he stares at you back, pretending to be offended.

"What, you think I am an idiot who can't cook? I could cook for you anything you want!"

Leon seems to realize too late what he said, grabbing his almost empty cup of wine and turning at once. Before you can answer, the food is finally there, and you see Leon's eyes glow toward his plate. You decide to ignore his proposal, not considering it seriously as well. He just said it because he was excited, you tell yourself.

You two eat, debating the flavors and how good it is. Leon praises you for your choice of plate, redeeming you now to be a food lover like him.

"Well, that is for sure an honor, thank you," You chuckle, bowing your head down in a sign of respect.

Leon doesn't answer, just staring at you. There is something different in his eyes, a particular emotional expression you had never seen before, and you think there is some sauce in your shirt.

"Something wrong?" You wonder, cleaning your face.

"Thank you. For bringing me here." He simply says, low enough for you to hear. You feel a chill down your spine because Leon has never been so emotional as right now. You gulp before you answer.

"Sure? Of course! I have other restaurants to take you if you want."

"I'd love—"

A beautiful tiramisu is placed in front of both of you, interrupting Leon. The waitress leaves, wishing you a good meal. You grab your spoon, wondering if Leon will continue his sentence, but he seems too focused on his own desert.

When dinner ends, and Leon pays over your protests ("I invited you, let me pay, Leon!"), you exclaim you will be paying for the next one, and he doesn't really answer, looking down. When you two are already out of the restaurant, Leon turns to you, a peculiar expression on his face.

"Thank you for this. For inviting me... it was perfect."

"You welcome, anytime."

You two stare at each other without saying anything for a moment before exchanging awkward goodbye. Leon watches you go to your car before he turns away, hands in his pocket. He walks a few steps to his motorcycle before hearing hushed footsteps. Leon turns to find you, breathless.

"I am sorry, Leon, but would you like to go on other dinners with me? More like a date? Could it be a lunch date also?" Leon blinks his mouth, half open. His whole face goes red as he opens a big smile that illuminates his whole face.

"I'd love to."

So I slept on it, and I really think Tav is Halsins fated one.

So not going into super specifics but in dnd lore, elves typically do sleep around l, go through multiple relationships etc UNTIL they find their fated mate.

Man’s there’s so much evidence (either intentionally or unintentionally) that Tav is. You could literally do absolutely nothing besides saving him, (sometimes not even that) and his grove and man’s is head over heels for you.

In all his dialogue while he’s waiting in camp he’s flirting with you almost every chance he gets and makes it clear that he wants you.

But if it’s just a fling or casual sex, why wait?

Well I think it’s because Tav is is soulmate essentially so he’s actually so in love with them that they consume his thoughts constantly. BUT he has a lot of guilt and Trauma that he’s burdened with and he feels like he can’t even think of being happy with them until he’s righted what he feels is his biggest failure. And after it’s defeated he even has a line where he says something like “I’m yours” before trying to correct himself and saying he’s yours in battle etc. (I could literally picture him blushing at his slip up)

We don’t really get anything till act three because with the shadow curse lifted he feels free to try and follow his heart (which is now with Tav) but is a little nervous to do so. Like hes been with tons of people before Tav is the first one that hes actually in love and feels connected to (soulmates) and hes trying to pace himself. Unfortunately the world is literally at stake so he doesn’t have the luxury of time

So what does he do? Blurt out a really bad confession and then gets so giddy he wildshapes.

Like that whole scene has him so out of breath you can practically see his excitement and nervs. (He even says he feared that it was too soon)

And about the whole poly thing, for one I do think he’s mildly traumatized, a free love hippy Druid , and someone who genuinely is poly and maybe a swinger lol.

However I also think he has no intentions of seeing anyone else. Like Tav is it for him. There’s multiple lines of dialogue suggesting so, he says “you are all I want” but encourages you to share your heart with others even though you already have his (man’s even calls you “my heart” I-) I think this could be interpreted a couple different ways and proly has multiple meanings.

But if we’re running with the soulmate idea then it’s because he’s both scared and traumatized by losing almost everyone he’s loved in his life, and also afraid of being rejected outright. Like he would rather have a part of you than none at all.

Because elves that do lose their fated ones typically don’t last long without them.

The only issue is the devs did him dirty with his ending….which again can be added for angst in this HC cause why not.

-he’s secretly hoping tav chases after him (my fav so far) he doesn’t feel like he is enough and he’s so ill suited for city life that he feels he would make Tav miserable and he would be miserable and that’s the last thing he wants. Especially since the big bad is over now. He feels like he doesn’t have much use to them anymore and fears being truly discarded.

-and if they’re with someone else? Even more reason to leave. I feel like they treated him like a side piece when it came to his poly romance with Astarion or Shadowheart (especially since shadowheart and him didn’t really get along lol) and this coupled with his feelings of guilt and inadequacies? Yeah man’s said quit while ur ahead.

-the same way Astarion needs reassurance, I think Halsin does too. Reassurance that he IS enough for them, wether that’s in a poly relationship or in a solo one (I still think hes a swinger but I digress).

Nah, not really. I have friends who ship it, and I like listening to them chat about it, but I personally don't care about the ship at all. In my mind its more interesting for them to be siblings, or something akin to family if they're not related by blood. Also just...not a huge fan of shipping characters together where one has killed the other in the past and just doesn't seem all too fussed about it. My fav ships... I'm not sure, I don't really watch the show for shipping- but I'd say I like Pigsy x Tang and Mei x Redson x MK (as a poly couple) and to some degree any of the three shipped with each other (including Mei x MK but maybe as a queer-platonic relationship? A/N: thank you! I’m so glad you like them, the poly couples are some of my favorites to write! I tried my best with fluff!

The three of you finally got a day off together and the last week had been mentally draining and taxing. Things going on both professionally and personally had messed with your head, leaving you exhausted.

Manon stirred, already shifting to get out of bed. Just after dawn. Too damn early for a day off. You caught her around the waist, pulling her back down towards you. She huffed, but complied, and let you tuck your head into her chest, wrapping her arms around you. Manon wasn’t the most … cuddly person, but if you were insistent enough she’d give in.

“Someone’s needy this morning,” Dorian teased and you grumbled into the witch’s chest, reaching one arm behind you to try and tug him in. He rolled over, spooning you.

You convinced them to stay in bed for an extra hour, and they both seemed a bit surprised at your request, but didn’t question you.

You could tell Manon and Dorian had picked up on it - the way your voice was a bit less cheery, your movements slower - not in a tired way, but in a not-wanting-to way. Plus, the worried looks they exchanged when they thought you weren’t looking confirmed it. You were hesitant at first, but let both of them drag you out into the city.

They took you to all of your favorite places, and Manon had to stop Dorian from buying you everything you looked at for a few seconds too long.

“Just because she looks at it, doesn’t mean she wants it” Manon hissed, before turning to you. “Do you want that?” She pointed at the top you’d been eyeing.

“No,” you said honestly and lowered your voice, “I just thought it was a bit funny looking.”

Manon sent a satisfied smirk at Dorian, who rolled his eyes.

Manon would sneak off once in a while and Dorian ran interference, keeping you from following her or asking too many questions. She’d return with a bag - one she refused to let you look at, darting out of your way and snarling at you half-heartedly when you tried to snatch it from her.

“I don’t know what else you expected,” Dorian said to Manon, “you’ve seen her at solstice.” You pinched his side. He caught you shaking a box once and never let you forget it.

Finally, once you returned back to the castle, Manon showed you all of the things she’d been hoarding.

She bought everything you looked at a few seconds too long, that you’d actually liked. Your jaw dropped.

“You didn’t need to do this,” you murmured, and she rolled her eyes before shoving a box of your favorite chocolates at you.

Normally Prince Bubblegums castle was boring and going over there was only fun if you wanted to annoy the uptight monarch. However, Marshall Lee knew y/n was going to be over there for some council meeting for her kingdom so how could he skip out on that. He needed to spend as much time with her as possible, especially when Fionna would be there as well.

Fionna was his “rival” as of now. Only because it was obvious just how bad she had it for y/n. She was always so nice to everyone it’s obvious why Fiona would like her, but still. Marshall was dead set on charming the girl. Even though Gumball begged the vampire to not “corrupt the mind of his general”. Pfft. As if he, okay he did understand that point of view. However, the sweetest and most badass fighter in the kingdom with the coolest and most handsomest vampire in the Nightosphere would obviously be the best couple.

So Marshall got all ready for the meeting and when he arrived both the Prince and General were waiting for everyone. "Why hello y/n, may I say you look exceedingly dangerous and deadly for this council meeting." Her cheeks turn a soft pink while Bubblegum rolls his eyes, she was so easily smitten.

"Good evening Marshall, why thank you. You look exceptionally lethal as well. I wasn't expecting you to show up to this meeting however, what changed you mind?"

"Eh you know, how could I pass up seeing your pretty face." She giggles as more guests start to arrive. He was always one to flatter. It was like second nature to him by now. Marshall Lee was nothing if not charming.

Before he can speak he gets interrupted by a familiar blonde. "Hi y/n! You ready for this meeting?" Fionna smiles at y/n who returns the look.

"Of course. What kind of General would I be if I wasn't always up to date on the affairs of my armies and the people they protect." She was always so noble. So good. Maybe that's why they both showed interest in her. Fionna was the epitome of a good person, and that obviously drew her in.

However, Marshall was not a good person. No matter how you spun it he was selfish and did things for his own gain rather than the good of everyone else. Y/n was selfless. The opposite of him. So in some ways Gumball was right, but he wouldn't let that stop him. "Shall we all gather inside then." Gumball says to catch everyone's attention.

All of the attendees follow the two candy people into the royal meeting room where Gumball sits at the head of table with y/n on his right side and a banana guard on his left. Marshall quickly rushes to take the seat next to y/n before Fionna can take it. And when he does the girl blushes almost furiously.

With a triumphant smirk Marshall sits down and waits for Prince Gumball to start the meeting. "As you know there have been a series of attacks on the outer perimeter of the kingdom especially near the southeastern perimeter. Y/n has scoped out the area and we have reason to believe it's thieves that are attempting to steal royal artifacts. I called you here to assemble a team to take them out for good."

Many people look around the room to try and guess who will volunteer or be volunteered. "I have drafted a select group, and I hope there is no protest with the fighters I have picked. Y/n will lead one troop of banana soldiers and accompanying her will be Fionna, Cake, Marshall Lee, and I will allow y/n to bring Lord Monochromicorn. Sound good?"

Of course y/n nods her head dutifully while the rest of them accept the job. "You should go at once. Y/n has packed all the necessary supplies and Lord is waiting for her and Fionna outside. Please let me know if there is anything else you need." Marshall may think of Pg as snobby, but he still was a pretty good leader.

The assigned group follows their pseudo leader to the garden where Lord Monochromicorn was waiting with an unreadable face. He stomps his foot on the ground noticing y/n approach. "Yep. We're all set Lord. You ready?" The stallion stomps his hoof in agreement.

"Great! Come on Fiona and put Cake on too." Fionna looks back at Marshall with a smirk. She was so winning the general over. Marshall huffs under his breath. Stupid show off. Y/n simply starts to have Lord Monochromicorn take flight, not noticing their silly antics.

Fionna looks back towards Marshall before starting to talk to y/n, she just knew how much this bothered him. "So uh y/n what exactly are we facing here."

"Hmm? I think it's just some bandits, but we don't know what magical artifacts they have already stolen so we must remain vigilant. Wouldn't want anyone getting hurt after all." She smiles as Monochromicorn starts to lower and get closer to the ground.

Immediately arrows start to shoot at the group when they start to land. “Those jerks. They won’t even give us a chance to land. Lord just avoid as best as you can.” He nods at the generals orders and dodges the projectiles. “Marshall Lee can you take out the shooting squad?” The vampire nods and makes quick work of the losers carrying bows and arrows.

“Yo y/n those guys are barely a threat! This is kinda fun!” The girl nods before unsheathing her sword and grabbing her shield. She stands up making Fionna and Cake confused, before either of them can say anything the girl just lets herself fall backwards towards the oncoming battle.

“Y/N!” Fionna shouts out watching the general flip through the air. When she lands on the ground her normally sweet face is dead serious.

She points her sword out towards the army waiting to fight. “You have threatened my kingdom and home, for that I must beat you to a pulp.” The bandits look at one another confused until the one woman army bounds forward clutching her sword with insane determination.

Fionna and Cake hurry after her when the banana guards start to arrive. Y/n fights off the attackers almost three at a time. Each one failing against her skill with her blade. Fionna watches in awe at how fluid her movements were until Cake had to save her from a sneak attack. “I think you’d be better off watching your own back instead of hers.”

Marshall leaves a trail of knocked out bandits behind him as he makes his way towards y/n, he’d be damned if she didn’t see how well he fought. “Marshall! Air support?” She calls out when she notices his presence. The immortal smirks before flying over to her and lifting her by her hand.

“Beautiful time to fly huh gorgeous?” Her face burns red before she promptly lets go and drops herself onto a handful of fighters using her shield to cushion the landing. “Damn she’s hot.” Marshall mumbles under his breath before helping her take out the rest of the bandits.

“Hey general! I think this is what they stole!” Fi shouts out from the other side of the field holding up a bag filled with gems and other objects. Y/n walks over while putting her weapons back to where they normally sit. She nods at Fionna and takes the bag.

“Perfect. This is exactly what we had lost in our outposts. Why Pg had artifacts in the outposts beyond me.”

“So what now?” Fionna asks aloud as Lord Monochromicorn soon joins them.

“We go home? I mean I can whip us up some food or something when we get back to celebrate if you want.” She smiles at the three before the incoming argument.

“Y/n I love you!” Marshall slowly turns towards Fionna who covers her mouth from her outburst.

“You sneaky little witch! I was gonna ask her out and here you go ruining stuff!”

The two continue to bicker while Cake, Lord Monochromicorn, and y/n all watch in stunned silence. “Uh Cake did you have any clue about this?” Cake nods. “So why didn’t you tell me?”

“I didn’t think the two dummy’s would fight right in front of you.” Cake’s insult finally catches their attention.

Marshall pushes Fionna to the side and rushes towards y/n. “What do you say y/n? You, me, dinner? Maybe even a concert?”

Fionna bumps him out of the way in return. “Nuh uh! Y/n! We can sharpen our swords and then go on an adventure together!”
