Homeschooling with little ones
Homeschooling with little ones
During this last lockdown from January to March, I had a brand new experience for the first time ever I was having to home school, although I’ve trained as a Teaching Assistant, one of the major things I realised was how different it is when it’s your own child sitting in front of you doing the work. At school when I have my focus groups, I have all the patience in the world but when it’s my own…

Today, Theia is officially 5 months old! Time is flying by, I can’t believe it! Here is a few fun facts: *Theia is trying to roll, but fails miserably. At least tummy time is a big hit now! *I think she is full on teething and we may see a little white bud anytime soon! *She can grab whatever she wants, HARD! She’s a strong little baby! *She loves the camera! *She’s starting to show intetest when her name is being used! *Sometimes she prefers Daddy to Mummy and that’s ok! We love you Theia, you wonderful little Madame! 💛 . . . . . . . . . #mum #mumlife #mumblogger #mummyblogger #pbloggers #babiesofinstagram #motherhoodofinstagram #clickinmoms #joyfulmamas #ig_motherhood #dailyparenting #uniteinmotherhood #blogger #bloggingbabes #instamum #instababy #instamatki #matkapolka #lifestyleblogger #babylove #parenting #parenthood #momswithcameras #normalizebreastfeeding #polishmum #bloggeruk #5monthsold #augustbaby (at Portsmouth)

Me laughing at the fact a Bank Holiday as parent is absolutely no different than any other day . Sorry I lie , every single place I try to take my little ray of sunshine is choker , walk to wall children and no where to park . . I’m so lucky my child is happy to do nothing but relax at home with his Mamma , order pizza and watch crappy movies 👌🏻 . . My dogs make me happy, like really happy.
If I’ve had a bad day, or I’m not feeling well they are there, in fact their always there, like always. It’s like I have 2 dog shaped shadows all the time. If i’m at home the dogs are where I am to the point where they will sit outside the bathroom when I go to the loo or break into the bathroom when I have a bath.
Sam is a big mummy’s boy, he will follow…

I’m not even sure if anyone is even bothered but this is my little outlet to let me allow get out what I’m feeling.
A week ago our whole little world changed even more, before we had just been told to use social distancing and be careful when going out but then because some people couldn’t do it properly and decide to go running off to Snowdonia and their local beaches because we had a weekend of nice weather, the whole of the UK at 8:30pm on Monday 23rd March entered lockdown.
We were told that we couldn’t go out unless it’s absolutely necessary ie to get food, go to work if you don’t work from home or to get medicine and we were allowed out once a day to get some exercise but couldn’t go to the park.
I work at a school and if you work at a school, we are classed as keyworkers however since the schools had been closed the previous week, we were told we would be working on a rota system, as we would still be looking after the children of other keyworkers but due to the fact that we were now on lockdown, I could no longer drop Haribo off at his grandparents when I went to work so now it would mean my husband as he was working from home, looking after Haribo whilst I went to work.
For the first 3 days of lockdown, the UK had the most beautiful weather which meant a lot of outdoor time for Haribo which I think distracted him for a little bit that his whole routine had changed, we were playing out in the garden and I think he thought that it was just like a school holiday but then by the Friday, he had started to ask when we were going to playgroup or his ‘dance’ class which is a toddler music and movement class we usually go to on a Wednesday.
His best friend is our next door neighbours little girl and he is desperate to go over and play with her, however they are talking over the fence and through face-time but it’s not the same.
We are also in daily contact over our Amazon Alexa and face-time with members of our family but it’s not the same as having a hug from them.
On Saturday, I had a really bad day,  my anxiety went into overload I felt very down and scared as the death toll just keeps rising in the UK and we are constantly told to stay indoors but at some point we are going to run out of food in the cupboards and trying to get an online delivery is just impossible and one of us is going to have to go out to the supermarkets and that’s putting us at risk of catching it and as stupid as it sounds, I’m missing other human contact, I was used to chatting to my mum, co-workers and friends on a daily basis or just being able to go out to the shops and have a look around.
It’s something that I’ve always been able to do, there was a big joke with my friends when I was at university that when we passed our driving tests,  our first independent trip seemed to be to go to our local Tesco and have a look around, we are just so used to having that freedom and to have it suddenly taken away is extremely difficult.
It’s also trying to limit Haribo’s screen time and find activities for him to do, he loves to bake but we are struggling to get hold of ingredients so I’m having to limit that and it’s hard not to be able to go to the park or go and feed the ducks, just little things that we took for granted before.
I’m thankful that we have a garden to get out in when the weather is nice so it’s just looking for those little moments to be thankful for at the moment as we all try to adjust to this new way of living.
Coronavirus week 1 of lockdown in the UK. I'm not even sure if anyone is even bothered but this is my little outlet to let me allow get out what I'm feeling.

The good and bad sides of Parent and Baby groups
The good and bad sides of Parent and Baby groups
I’ve thought about writing this for a while as it’s something that is a tricky subject and  can often be a stumbling blocks for many parents, actually getting out of house and going to meet with others.
In the early days with Haribo I struggled a lot with going out, the fear of not being able to cope by myself with Haribo whilst I was out or what if something happened to him and I didn’t know…

Labels annoy me so much and I’ve got one photobombing here. Grrr. My day has been so stressful, I genuinely have about 1% energy and I’m close to switching off like an old iPhone. I had 4 conversations with a lovely chap from a place that offered me an interview on Monday - success! Hopefully, if I prepare for it correctly, I will land it. I tried selling the baby swing to around 4 different people, and guess what? It’s still sat in the front room. Time wasters! I dealt with Theia’s grizzling and she grizzled LOADS. I walked to the shops, made dinner. I’m just out of it, mainly mentally. I want to switch off and I’m praying Theia settles at night and let’s mummy sleep. Who knows how I’m gonna cope with working & being a mum, I have a feeling it seems easier in my head, than done. Now, I’m out of here. Loving you all ❤️🤦🏻‍♀️ . . . . . . . . #mum #mumlife #mumblogger #mummyblogger #pbloggers #babiesofinstagram #motherhoodofinstagram #clickinmoms #joyfulmamas #ig_motherhood #dailyparenting #uniteinmotherhood #blogger #bloggingbabes #instamum #instababy #instamatki #matkapolka #lifestyleblogger #babylove #parenting #parenthood #momswithcameras #normalizebreastfeeding #polishmum #bloggeruk
