I like to leave the past behind, so every new semester, I use a brand new pen. I have gone through a lot of pens in my life, and my favorite pen would be Pilot Juice 0.38 black and violet. I write a lot of notes, and these pens have never skipped on me. I know that Muji and Pilot Juice pens are a fan favorite in the study community, but if I had to choose one, I would go for Pilot Juice. In my experience, Muji pens are a bit too inky and sometimes leave globs at the end of words (0.38). I am sure nobody would notice, but it does bother my writing experience. When I rewrite my notes, I tend to go slower for a neater appearance, and with Pilot Juice, I don't have any globs or too much ink in one spot; every word is consistent.

So if you are starting a new semester or even for the New Year, i would highly recommend using a brand new pen for a fresh start.

(I use the old semester pens as whatever pens) 

whatever pens: Pens you let people borrow when they ask, pens used for doodling, pens used to write quick notes, pens you care about but stay calm if you lose it.

- a tiny pencil sharpener

- 2 of the 3 colour ballpoint pens

- a mini calculator

- a smooth gel ink ballpoint pen knock type in 0.5 mm grey

- another smooth gel ink ballpoint pen knock type in 0.5 mm blue black

- 2 smooth gel ink ballpoint pens knock type in 0.5 mm black

- a glue stick

- a mini stapler

- a large hard type black eraser

- and some whiteout

I spent about $20 in total, which is way past my stationery budget, but I'm on spring break. It's fine. 😆
