So, does anyone remember the theory that Mr. Poe wasn’t incompetent but secretly helping Count Olaf the whole time?
It does make sense, but at the same time it doesn’t.
Reasons the theory makes sense:
Mr. Poe was always aware of the Baudelaire’s whereabouts, so it would make sense for him to keep on relaying the information to Count Olaf, explaining why he manages to find them so quickly.
He ignores the Baudelaire’s insistence that Count Olaf is right there he’s standing right there that’s the worse disguise I’ve ever seen in my life come on dude do you need glasses UNTIL there is unquestionable proof and he can’t deny the fact any longer.
Poe literally sees Jacques, a man who just so happens to be opposing Count Olaf’s schemes, says that Jacques is Count Olaf when he clearly isn’t, and lands him in jail where he gets murdered shortly after.
Now, why doesn’t it make sense?
Mr. Poe is portrayed not as a sinister adult, but as an unhelpful, well-meaning one. It would severely alter a main part of the narrative, that sometimes you can’t get help from people who mean well, into a message of sometimes people who you think mean well actually do not.
Mr. Poe is not a confirmed member of VFD, and even if he was, the Baudelaire parents might not have trusted him to discuss money, wills, estate, banking stuff, etc. And if he was in VFD, they certainly wouldn’t have let Poe near their own children, who they’ve been trying to hide from VFD.
Why would Mr. Poe go through such a difficult scheme for getting the Baudelaire fortune? He’s literally in charge of orphan affairs, and I don’t really understand banking or wills or whatever, but couldn’t he have just altered a couple documents and stolen some of the money? I don’t know if embezzlement is easier than any of Count Olaf’s other plots, but it is certainly not as complex.

I love watching Moon Knight all over again and noticing things that your first time watching you may have not looked at.
Look at this
Do you know what that is?
Here
Just less than a month after I finished the show the first time I was in Vienna I went to the Museum of Natural History and I read this. The original is in Germany however there was a copy of it there. I went to that Museum two more times and this still fascinated me.
Here is what I took.
I just absolutely love when the writers of a show put things like this. Little references that you don't usually catch normally. The cosmos and Moon Knight, it's amazing.
This brought me so much genuine joy. I got so excited when I was seeing it for the 9th time or something, put it on my IG story and everything.
Might make this a tiny series thing of things I've noticed in Moon Knight.
