Appearance: Regent is 5'11"/180 cm tall. He was born with red eyes, something he is very proud of. He is blonde with freckles. He has a collection of ear piercings. He wears fingerless gloves or "reasons". He doesn't wear much makeup since it would cover is "natural beauty" as he claims.

Personality: Regent is the oldest of four siblings (all girls). As such, he is a dotting older brother but also the one most used to their parents' behavior. He tends to be the one given the hardest tasks now that he's reached a certain age. He enjoys that fact because he is allowed to hunt on his own now. He has a huge ego due to the constant praise Rook gives. Regent is conceded because he believes his beauty is unmatched. This leads him to being cruel when he feels slighted. His obsessions with appearance, desire to be worshiped, and vengeful nature makes him the perfect leader of Pomefiore.

Regent isn't all bad. He can make friends with others when he puts his ego aside. When he feels safe he is similar to Yuu and shows his soft side. To the lucky few who achieve that level, he can be a bit clingy. It's almost embarrassing how affectionate he is and always greets them with a kiss. Composure isn't his strong suit.

Love rabbits. Has a pet rabbit named Pistol, a Broken Rex who is extremely friendly.

Regent's 3 sisters are named Contessa, Jubilee, and Reine.

Story: Regent was always raised to be a hunter. Both his parents expressed its importance. Naturally, he developed the idea that to live you must be able to prove your worth. Not that he felt unworthy but he enjoyed taking on challenges. They built obstacle courses and targets for him to train on. Occasionally he would go to his dad's gallery openings where he learned more about his father's devotion beauty. When he saw a painting of him he became obsessed with the praise he received for his beauty as patrons gazed at his likeness. He too began chasing after his own version of beauty.

Pistol has been Regent's best friend since birth. Rabbits were the perfect pets to him and he hates dogs after one attacked one of the family rabbits and making Jubilee cry.

Regent knew it was a matter of time before he would attend NRC and went eagerly. He also knew he would be attending with Vil Schoenheit's daughter Molly but he didn't know he would also be in the same class as Neinge LeBlanche's daughter as well. His father was going to say something but Yuu dragged him away by the ear.

Regent of course had to consider which girl suited his taste but was also dragged away like his father.

Sorry for the long wait, I was super distracted this week, what with the drama going on Tumblr and being getting sick with Covid.

Anyways, I don't know what I was thinking making this or any of the drabbles of written in the past month, but just before I became sick, I had the "brilliant" idea of making an AU where everything's the same, except DIO and Medea's unhealthy relationship finally ended with the latter getting pregnant with his 5th illegitimate child during the "High Priestess" arc.

Basically she's like Jouta Kujo, except her birth is less cursed and weird, she doesn't exist in the main timeline, but she does in another.... it's for fun. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hypothetically, Stefani King-Tachibana (ステファニー キング-橘 Sutefanī Kingu - Tachibana) is the daughter of Medea and DIO from alternate timeline where their unhealthy relationship resulted in her birth, making her DIO's fifth and final illegitimate child alongside her half-brothers.

She was born into Japan sometime after the events of "Stardust Crusaders" being raised by her mother with the help of the Kujos and Keiji, she grew up not knowing her birth father but has accepted Keiji as a real father figure. She appears in "Diamond Is Unbreakable" as a secondary ally, Stefani was first introduced as an oddball child, but that was just a shield as she gets picked on at school for being a foreigner, in reality she is shown to be quite reserved and respectful to her elders and loved ones, as she is shown to be very caring of Noriko's wellbeing against Yoshihiro's enemy Stand users and has disowned DIO as her father upon learning what he did to her mother in the past.

It's later revealed that Stefani is a natural born Stand user like her parents, welding a Jorogumo-like Stand named [Spiderwebs]. Stefani later appears in "Stone Ocean" as a secondary protagonist, having made a career in women's boxing in her adulthood, she heard about Noriko's false imprisonment and rushed to the Green Dolphin State Prison to rescue her, eventually getting caught up in the many incidents involving Pucci's conspiracy and later meeting her half-brothers, the sons of DIO. 

Like her half-brothers, she shares some of DIO's traits, such as having a hatred for her birth father for mistreating her mother similar to how DIO despised Dario Brando for doing the same, as well as crying out "Wryyyy!" when angry and having a talent in boxing.

Genevieve FACTS:

She failed to take fully over Yuuna when she first came to TW and unlocked Genevieve during the fight against Overbolt! Riddle. Genevieve was outraged and sulked for awhile, realizing how powerful Yuuna is even now and she will need A LOT before she could overpower her.

Anger issues.

(Humiliated at first,) Genevieve can summon herself as a chibi (which is usually how she is because it is the best way to save her magic). Made her realized how weak she is as only "the second half of the jewel".

She can take over Yuuna's body when someone caresses the lamp (always Yuuna). The lamp is kept a charm on Yuuna's school bag after it was shrunk by Genevieve.

She is 181 cm tall in full Genevieve form and takes great confidence in her body and magic (god-complex).

Two-faced: as a chibi, she is cute and reckless, but as Genevieve she is very arrogant and almost narcissistic.

While Yuuna and Molly don't get along, Genevieve and Molly DO NOT get along. True Tom and Jerry.

When she is angry, Genevieve's skin turns red and eyes gold like the Jafar Genie from the movie.

She fell in love with Malleus at first sight and always tries to rizz him, but he ignores her.

Always confident and cocky, but she is a horrible student and now smart at all.

She can overbolt and that is the only time she takes full control (her overbolt happens during the Glorious Masquerade event. -> it was also when Malleus started "seeing" Genevieve as well, not just Yuuna as a person.)

In reality, under the very unpleasant and arrogant attitude, Genevieve is a very lonely person, who was abandoned and never been "seen" as a person, but as an object of power.

Deep down, she wants people to like her and make friends, but she is too scared to show her vulnerable sides. This is probably because she has the reputation and expectation to be so godly and superior over everybody and everything.

[CM] Religious Words

Third expansion, words related to religion! View this post for information on ClayClan’s mythology. Below there’s translations for god, folk hero, blessing, and bobcat, plus some extra content related to base Clanmew words and the names for the gods.

God - Paokeshaf Derived from base Clanmew paokepba* (powerful spirit) and shahaf* (holy). A paokeshaf is the most powerful being that ClayClan believes in - they recognize six, collectively making up the pantheon. Living cats cannot interact with paokeshaf. Rather, Silverpelt warriors ferry messages from the gods to the living, messages that manifest as omens and dreams.

Folk hero - Aroshaf Derived from base Clanmew waro* (less) and shahaf* (holy), in that they are less holy than the gods but more holy than regular spirits. Aroshaf is the term for any heroic character in a legend. ClayClan’s most famous aroshaf is a molly who made a deal with Yiaow to banish bobcats from Clan territory - this deal was taken, but on the stipulation that she become a bobcat and lead them away herself. She succeeded and was allowed into Silverpelt after death for her good deeds. I’m still working out a name for her!

Blessing - Shabai Derived from base Clanmew shaba* (prayer). Shabai is a gift from the gods to an especially pious or special cat - it can manifest in many ways.

Bobcat - Mwrruobeh Derived from base Clanmew maobeh* (damned soul). While most animal names in Claymew are based off the sounds they make, bobcats are special - their name communicates that they are dangerous and associated with lost souls. Also unlike other animals, the word mwrruobeh will never be part of a Clan cat’s name. 

Claymew also uses the words Ssoenborrl* (Silverpelt) and kogmwa* (curse) lifted from base Clanmew. These are important concepts in their mythos, but I like the base words, so I saw no need to change them. Also - Ssoenborrl/Silverpelt is the name ClayClan uses for their heaven, the plane that dead Clan cats go. They don’t call it StarClan! This was just a stylistic choice, I love the word “Silverpelt” and wish it was used more in canon haha.

Finally - a note on the names of the gods!  ClayClan’s pantheon was something I added very early into world-building, so I named them long before I decided to make Claymew. Thankfully I based their names off of real-world cat sounds, so they ended up fitting right in with the conlang! The only difference is that certain letters I picked are different in Claymew - for example, “rh” in the gods’ names would translate as “rr”. So, just for fun, I whipped up some Claymew-ified god names:

Rhurr -> Rrurr, or just Rr  Chikik -> Chikik, this one was basically Claymew already Fulgurr -> Fulgrr Hyaash -> Heeyash Mrrha -> Mrra Yiaow -> Yeeaow

The old names are still the canon ones, I just thought this would be a neat exercise in pronunciation :]

She liked him for his childish and sweet disposition, she was especially touched and amused by his attempts to help her, and she helped him do this. She was sometimes frightened when she saw scary next to other people, or just scary loners, she was surprised by Molly's courage, and how he laughs joyfully after those creepy ones on their way, because Brittany takes him with her when she goes for a walk or to the store, feeling safe with him, even if it is a small teddy bear.

Molly Nam was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 18, 1999. She is the youngest of two brothers. Her childhood was a rough one due to her family’s struggles with poverty. Her parents often couldn’t find stable work, leaving them to move around a bit before settling down in a mobile home in New Orleans, Louisiana where the family resided for the rest of Molly’s time in America.

Molly wasn’t registered for school until she was ten years old, being home schooled by her aunt until her parents learned she could barely read or write. Because to this set back, Molly always struggled with learning and making friends as the only people she talked to were her cousins or brothers.

Though academically not the strongest, Molly had a passion for singing and dancing. At fourteen, she made co-captian on her school’s cheer squad and often ranked high at their competitions. Her cheer coach was actually the one to tell her about the Angelico audition and offered to take her and a few other girls on the squad to the audition.

Molly and one other girl made the cut and were asked to join Angelico as trainees at just 15 years old.

Molly, now going by her Korean name Nakyung, then moved into the trainee dorm and began training. Nakyung was a highly anticipated member due to her wit and humor. 

She was the second member of VENUS to be revealed.

Her time in VENUS is often described as a “rollercoaster” by her fans. Many say she was mistreated and treated as “just a pretty face” by her company. It’s also heavily speculated there were tensions between Nakyung and the members, resulting in many bullying rumors. Nakyung left VENUS in 2020 for unspecified reasons.

Shortly after her departure, she was added to the Pushing Daises line up where many of her fans note she looks a lot happier.

I loved the description of the Potter children's height. It completely threw me off guard. 😅 I always imagined Teddy being the tallest (maybe 6'2", James about 6 ft, and Albus being short (around 5'8") and just 2 inches shorter than Harry. In your series though, I think Albus being taller works better. I'm kinda liking a short James. His height mirrors his personality. Albus just wants to enjoy his life without all the bs and watch the drama unfold from the shadows. Being tall sometimes can put you in the spotlight and make you feel exposed. James is shorter, talks a lot, and acts like he needs to compensate with his siblings. (Lily has a baby so James needs another one). He's like a feisty small dog that needs the attention while Albus is a cat (probably a big one like his penis) that just wants you to fuck off! 😂

So, I first saw the Albus taller than James headcanon from Blvnk and I absolutely loved it. It just seemed to fit so well.

So Teddy is the tallest at 6’2” (187 cm). I picture that Remus was quite tall and I picture the Blacks were a tall family as well. Teddy just got their tall genes so he fits right in looking like a Potter with Albus and Harry.

Albus is next at 6’1” (185 cm). You’re right. He can just see everything and sniggers at all the pandemonium and can insert his little sassy comments.

Harry is next at a nice 6’0” (182 cm). I know a lot of people like to make Harry taller, but I think his height suits him. He’s still tall but not insanely tall. I like Ron right around 6’3” (190 cm) so they fit together nicely. I always picture Harry and Ron looking like Sam and Dean from Supernatural. Plus, I like Harry having two kids who are taller than him.

Lastly is James at 5’9” (175 cm). He’s got some of the Prewett genes in him that shine through as I picture the short genes come from Molly’s side of the family. James is definitely the feistiest of the siblings and is always trying to catch up. James is often notified first out of a crowd because he’s so fucking loud even though his other brothers are so tall and really stand out.

Hello lovely 💕 Could I get harry potter match?

So I'm female, bisexual, 172 cm/5'8, honey/dirty blond hair with white highlights on the front. My eyes are my fav part of my body, they're light blue that sometimes fall into grey but they have dark blue rims and I think it's beautiful.

So you become friends whilst in your sixth or seventh year, but he’s been admiring(?) you since like second year, Tonks 100% calling him a stalker every chance possible and him defending himself with his life.

By chance you end up bumping into him again after Hogwarts since you work with his older brother in Egypt (smart architecture stuff). He’s visiting Bill with the rest of the Weasley’s and Molly’s pestering him to go and say hi to you because you’re ‘such a beautiful young lady’ or something along those lines and eventually, with the twins literally dragging him over, he manages to stutter out a hi.

Somehow you manage to start dating (I haven’t thought everything out but feel free to fill in the blanks if you want) and you move over to Romania to help work with the dragons, you’re in a different department to him since you’re working on the architecture side of something, but he appears every break possible and is always there before you leave unless he’s at home cooking dinner for you.

It defiantly took him by shock when you got comfortable enough to start muttering dark or dirty jokes under your breath whenever you thought of something and it took you by surprise when he responded to it casually with something worse. If Molly could hear she would probably have a heart attack.

98% sure Charlie would let you practise tattooing him, but you had to make sure they where covered up whenever his family visited so, once again, Molly wouldn’t have a heart attack.

On the topic, he would be the worst person around when you need someone to convince you out of getting a pericing or tattoo, like there is no way he would have any voice of reason moment being like “maybe you shouldn’t get that done with the healing time clashing with something else” he would just be encouraging it and considering joining you.

Comment on Reading "The Appearance of Black Lives Matter" - (Nicholas Mirzoeff)

The root issues that gave rise to Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement are institutional racism and police brutality in the US. Police is heavily biased against visible minorities in the US, particularly against African-Americans, but also Natives and Hispanics, which are much more likely to be shot by police. There are huge racial disparities in how US police use force.

In the 2016 song “Blue Lights" performed by Jorja Smith – young singer and songwriter – she touches the issues of discrimination, racial bias, and police brutality. The music video shows Black men and boys that because of racism, are targeted by police for doing normal activities. The song says “If you’ve done nothing wrong, blue lights should just pass you by", which is how it should be. However, then Smith proceeds to sing "level of a felon when I've done nothing wrong, blood on my hands but I don't know where it's from", followed by the bridge that suggests to run when you – referring to a Black person – hear the sirens coming because they will be coming for you.

These racial inequities and killings have sparked criticisms of law enforcement, as well as concerns that black lives are less important to police than lives of white people, which culminated in the Black Lives Matter movement. 

Noteworthy of mention in this regard, it is that one of the causes of the racial bias in US police can be identified in the theory of “broken windows” based on a research of the 1980s by social scientists James Q. Wilson & William Kelling. This theory claims that in order to maintain order and prevent chaos, the marginalized shall be controlled. The roots of the broken windows theory are well explained by artist Molly Crabapple in the presentation “How ‘broken windows’ policing harms people of color”. The name of the theory came from the argument social psychologists and police officers tended to agree on: that if a window in a building is broken and left unfixed, the unrepaired broken window is a signal that no one cares, thus it will lead more criminals to break more windows.

This is important because it led to strict policies in the US, especially in New York, trying to eliminate signs of degradation, by using “over policing” in hotspot places, meaning in neighborhoods considered more criminal than others. These hotspots places were where often poor minorities lived, which instead of feeling safer, they just felt overly watched. The argument made is that these preventions exacerbated racism and surveillance, as well as reinforcing social hierarchies, assuming that white people with money abide to rules, while poor Black people did not, and those are the people America did not want to see. This situational prevention strategy does not get at the root of the causes resolving the phenomenon of crime, but it just tries to hide some people.  For this reason, it was and it still is so important to claim back the right to be seen. 

Mirzoeff looks at BLM movement as a process of de-colonizing, for Black people to reconquer a position of visibility, reclaiming their position in history. An important concept in the reading is the “space of appearance”, which is a mean to catch sight – albeit temporarily – of a future society that has not happened yet, but potentially can come. For Mirxoeff, the space of appearance is not universal, and we have to think of it as something that can be fixed, in the sense that we can change the situation. His invitation is to keep actively looking, as it is the only way in which visuality can be changed. The author talks from a non-Black perspective, as he is a Jewish man, thus he states “I see you and you see me”, referring to Black people. He deals with a collectivity that sees others, and finally is seen, or at least is pushing and demanding to be seen. The freedom of appearance is a practice through which people make themselves visible to each other. An example of how this works is the relationship between Black Lives Matter and Palestine, seen when an active resistance began in Ferguson, following protests after the shooting of black teenager Michael Brown Jr. by an officer. Palestinians sent messages of support, as well as practical advice on how to deal with tools of counterinsurgency. The Black-Palestinian solidarity in their struggle is shown in the 2015 Youtube video entitled “When I See Them, I See Us”, with around 60 African Palestinian and American activists and artists participating. There was, and there still need to be, a powerful awakening of the gaze of people. BLM protests shed light on the ability to look in the eye of power – in this context the police – and claim not only the right to look, but also the right to be seen.

In the above-mentioned video, the sentences used "We are not statistics. We have name and faces." make reflect on how often it is talked about victims in terms of numbers, as if we were not talking about human lives, each with their own identity. I wish we could remember all the names and faces of the victims, because it would mean that they were a few, albeit it would still be grave. However, sadly, it is hard to know by heart all of the victims, even just Black victims of killings by the police, for how many cases there were, and currently are. Unfortunately, these killings are not isolated incidents, but they are part of the systemic violence and racism in the US. For instance, in Italy, where the problem of police brutality is not systemic, but sporadic, the case of a white man's death by the hands of police officers is widely known by everyone. In Italy, everyone knows the name and the face of Stefano Cucchi, in the pictures below. He was a 31-year-old man from Rome, who in 2009 was arrested because he was found in possession of drugs. He was given pretrial detention (custodia cautelare) in prison. Seven days later he died in a hospital, where his body was full of signs of beating. This was the beginning of a complex and long search for the truth carried out mainly by his sister, Ilaria Cucchi. In 2019, the Court of Assisi of Rome sentenced two carabinieri to 12 years for manslaughter. I wish we could remember the victims of police brutality in the US as if it was the exception, rather than the practice. But, how many lives will it take for police brutality in the US to stop?

Space of appearance enters in action when the society of control – the system and the surveillance – start to show fractures. BLM, even if it started online with the #BlackLivesMatter, it allowed to gather people initially as a virtual circle, and then create a group in real life in squares. In other words, space of appearance is an account of different modes of appearance, both in the media and in public spaces. Space of appearance manifests through two shapes intertwined: the “kinetic”, that is the live space in which real people are physically present, and interact with each other; and the “mediated” form, the mediated documentation given by the importance of social medias and the hashtags. 

Mirzoeff goes back to the history of slavery in America and the “oversight” of the master surveilling enslaved individuals. He reflects upon how slaves looking at their masters could be dangerous, and be punished with their lives. Similarly, in the Jim Crow period (1877-1954), the so-called “reckless eyeballing” was the looking at white people, leading to legitimized violence and killing as a response. Black people were lynched for this alleged look. This was the case of the 14-year-old Black teenager Emmett Till who paid with his life merely for a rumor of having looked, or made advances on a white woman.

In contemporary times in the US, the figure of the master has been substituted by the police as an institution, for which even a defiant look by a Black person meeting the police gaze can be paid with life. Speaking about Black people reclaiming the space of appearance, an example is represented by the iconic picture of a Black woman alone standing proudly and firmly in the roadway to protest in front of police officers. She is intentionally looking directly at them, to show that she is not afraid.

A further visual example showing this defiant gaze towards the police is the 2015 remarkable picture presented below, in which a Black teenager protesting was confronting a Black cop in Chicago, while staring him directly in the eyes. The fact that the police officer is African American too, and the fact that even Black police officers in some cases were responsible for the death or beating of Black people – as the death of Freddie Gray, and the recent beating of Tyre Nichols –  show that systemic racism in the US operates even beyond the race of each individual. Systemic racism is so inherent to this order, that is has to do with the position from which it is possible to look; in other words, power. This recalls the example of the US woman soldier at Abu Ghraib – who was lesbian –but still torturing Arab detainees in the name of their “deviance”, depicting them as homosexuals performing sodomy. The girl, being in a position of power, despite her sexual orientation, was representing heteronormativity in that context.

Another way of performing vulnerability in public spaces is appropriating a space that has another functionality, and powerfully reversing the function of a space that is not supposed to be political, but it is made such, outside from the normality. This is the example of the Oakland Bridge in San Francisco, which is a space used for circulation and commerce, and in 2016 was taken over by BLM protesters blocking traffic. Unlike the mediatic form of “space of appearance” and #BLM movement, where people can ignore the issue more easily, this form of live protest breaks people’s routine, forcing them to actually stop, and think about the cause of the protest. This bridge is mainly understood as a “white place” because it does not hint in any way at Black Americans’ history and colonialism. Mirzoeff considers it representing mainstream America and the US system, which is inherently white and racist. 

In addition, a tactic that was employed by BLM protesters is the “die-in”, meaning protesters laying on the ground still, as if they were dead, causing disruption in public places. One of the first mass die-ins was in 2014 in New York, in the Grand Central Station during the rush hour, which continued every week for a year. This performing is very powerful even visibly, as the protesters are in an horizontal defenseless position on the ground, symbolizing the death “sentence” given by police officers to Black Americans. The formal repetition and similarity of the actions in protests for Black lives stands as a means to deliver the urgency of the situation, and it can be also seen as a comparison: just as the repetition of the same violations with same patterns and elements – a Black person (victim) killed by police officers (the perpetrators) –, protesters reflect this repetition and similarity in their protests.

Here in the picture above, we can see that not only the protesters' position expresses their vulnerability, but some protesters even have their hands up. The hands up is the signature gesture of the post-Ferguson movement, which is a powerful action of mimicking what Black victims are usually doing when they are shot or beaten by police. This gave rise to the slogan “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot”, which was even printed on protesters’ shirts. This slogan brings attention to the exact moment in which the Black person is showing that they do not have a gun, declaring their status of being harmless, when every person with reason would stop, but the US police do not cease, and still kills them. From a verbal and visual level, the gesture and the slogan show the cruelty and arrogance of the police that even in front of a weak defenseless person, do not have mercy and humanity. The sentence “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” alone manages to explain and make visible in people’s minds the scene that occurred, even when it was not documented in videos or pictures. This allows people to engage and empathize with the victim. The Hands up, far from being a passive form of protest, its strength relies in the second part “don’t shoot”, that is a command to the police, calling for the prohibition of any future killings. 

A further act of civil disobedience not involving aggression, but "passive resistance", which is very smart from a visual point of view is the chain protest, as performed at Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 21, 2017. As shown in the picture below, BLM activists chained themselves together at one of the entrances to the inauguration of Trump. Protesters chaining themselves clearly evokes slavery; thus, the police to remove Black people from the streets have to cut the chain, making the symbolic action of freeing them.
