You probably don't remember BC you get thousands of comments, but I was the anon who identified with Sirius and made a very dramastic request to a update a few months ago ... You revealed that you wouldn't post that week, but shared a sneek peak of the letters between Sirius and Marlene...

So I am channeling my dramatic Sirius veins and telling you:

Don't feel pressured because of some requests ... Do your Own f*cling thing! Don’t post it if you don’t like it Sam. Take some time off to think about it. It’s your fic… you do you. People will criticize no matter what. All that’s important is that you’re happy with it and everyone else can just shove it.

It’s not a major plot point. But I just like it. It highlights a character in a light I think is fitting. I’ve told it’s fitting to said character. But it’s dark and the reception might not be all that great. I think if I just sit on it, I’ll just post the rewrite anyway.

So, yeah, the rewrite is done. I’m not really happy with it, but I don’t think I’ll be happy with anything except for the original idea. I was really married to the original idea. While I’ve adopted an attitude where I’m going to write what I’m going to write and that’s that, I also know I thrive off engagement and reviews. When three separate people tell me I would not like the response I’d get if I posted as is, I got to listen.

Anyway, yeah, so, it’s done. It’ll be up Sunday. I’m just… I dunno. Not as excited about it I guess.

Rough.

I feel like he got a lot of shit from the Slytherins. People who had grown up with, fellow purebloods that he at one point probably had considered his friends.

I feel like he probably got a lot of shit from Gryffindors as well. I always picture him unknowingly saying some offensive shit like Mudblood and not understanding it was even a bad word at first. I feel like James educated him a lot.

I bet he got a lot of shit from his relatives. Narcissa would have been in school at that point. It was probably on the coattails of Andromeda leaving so they were probably rough on him to avoid another embarrassment like with what happened with her.

I see him sticking close to James, Remus, and Peter and basically trying to ignore everyone else that year.

AU, where Sirius kidnaps Harry from the Dursleys and shows up at Andromeda Tonks home.

Sirius escaped Azkaban after finding out Petunia had custody of Harry. He had expected to find Harry mistreated, but nothing could prepare him for the sight that awaited him. Sirius found his godson outside his small frame, trembling from the cold, shivering, and crying silently outside while the Dursley’s were having dinner inside their comfy home. Sirius had never felt so much rage in his life. The laughter that used to dance in Harry’s eyes had vanished, replaced by a haunting emptiness. He approached Harry cautiously, afraid to startle the little boy. As soon as Harry spotted Sirius, he lunged toward him, desperate arms wrapping around his godfather. Sirius held on to him tightly and rubbed his back and hands, trying to warm him up. Tears soaked through Sirius shirt as Harry clung to him and pointed towards the window, babbling nonconstructive words almost as if he were trying to tell him how the Dursleys had been treating him. “Mama?” Harry asked, looking behind him. Sirius swallowed the lump in his throat. “Dada?” He asked this time, looking into Sirius eyes. Sirius bit his lip, trying to keep the sob from escaping, and shook his head. The child looked at him for a few seconds before he put his head on his shoulder and cried. At that moment, Vernon opened the back door immediately, looking like he was ready to yell or hit the child for crying out loud. Harry’s body automatically tensed up at the sight of him as he held on to Sirius tighter. Sirius shielded Harry as he towered over the porky man. His voice cut through the icy air, “Touch him, and you’ll die.”
