I don’t know why, but I can’t quite draw Newt correctly? For some reason, whenever I try, he doesn’t look quite right, and I can’t figure out why.

Also, not sure if I wrote Newt correctly either? Is he OOC? I can’t tell, I spent hours on this and I’m so tired that I feel like I’m going to pass out.

But, uh, anyway- Newt is trans, because I said so, TERFs have no power here.

He’d caught his reflection in the corner of his eye again.

Newt desperately didn’t want to turn to the mirror, especially not today. But he caught it in his peripheral, and now he couldn’t stop thinking about it. He reasoned with himself that it wasn’t as bad as he remembered. Surely, if he turned around, it’d be fine, right?

Of course, though, when he looked in the mirror, he felt his stomach flip.

It was wrong, all of it. He wasn’t right, and the longer he looked, the more meaningless details he nitpicked about his appearance. Half of the things he saw, people most likely wouldn’t even notice, but that didn’t make them any less painful to acknowledge.

"Don’t do this to yourself, darling.” Blake’s voice cut through the silence. His dark and eerie appearance made him like an ink stain on the colourful but tacky wallpaper of the bathroom. He strode up to Newt and placed his hands on his lover’s shoulders, “It’s won’t do anything but make you feel worse.”

Newt’s body tensed a bit when he felt Blake’s hands; making Blake pull them away for a moment. There was a long, deafening pause before Newt broke the silence. “Do you think I made a mistake?”

“This is about what that red-head said, isn’t it?” The sigh Newt gave was answer enough. Blake slowly held out his hands, but hovered this time, waiting for Newt’s okay. Newt hesitated, but leaned back, quickly leaning against Blake. Blake’s hands rested on Newt’s hips, while Newt placed his hands on Blake’s. “Put all those thoughts away, okay?” Blake murmured, rubbing the side of Newt’s hand with his thumb. “You’re just as much a man as they are.”

The sentiment was nice, but Newt murmured back, “It’s not really that simple-”

“I know.” Blake muttered as he kissed Newt’s shoulder. “I know it isn’t. God, I wish it was. I just worry about you, you know?” There was another pause, as the two just settled into the embrace. “Is there anything I can do to help you, love?”

“…Keep holding me, if you wouldn’t mind.”

“Of course; anything for you, my handsome boy.”

juliette/célia: célia? 100% okay with marriage, and although she’ll need some convincing on the children part, she’ll eventually come around. juliette is tricky because of the whole situation with viscount phillipe. but in the end, she’ll wholeheartedly agree to both as she does want to get married and have a family to her one true love.

A/S: S had a wedding outfit and names of your possible future children ready after your first date. as for A, it’ll be harder for you to convince them about both marriage and children as they strongly fear that it’ll cause their career to decline. unexpectedly angsty, i know, but give them time to come around to the idea and they will.

He hated seeing Angel like this, he really did, but he also understood that there wasn't much he could do other than give him an ear to listen to him, a shoulder he could cry on without being judged, and a place where he could leave that facade, stop being Angel Dust and letting himself be Anthony even if it is just for a few hours. Not that he could fight for a soul with an overlord much more powerful than him -After all, he had done it before and look where he left him, one of the many slaves of Mr. Smiles.-

Here you go, Thony. - Husk said as he slid the drink across the bar. a small smile formed on Angel's lips upon hearing the nickname..

Noticing Angel's small gesture, Husk smiled back, almost involuntarily.

i'm halfway through s1 of strange new worlds and i've been thinking because i've seen the sentiment thrown around "i just don't like this version of chapel because she's going to eventually become TOS chapel" which... is a thought that kind of bugs me.

i love TOS but at the end of the day it was written in the 60s by misogynistic men. i don't watch SNW spock expecting him to eventually become the spock who says in tos that "women are more prone to terror than men." i don't expect pike to eventually become the type of man that says "i can't get used to having a woman on the bridge."

anyways i think it's fine for SNW to retcon parts of TOS, even if that means overhauling a big chunk of some characters' personalities. i don't think either the shows or the fans need to be beholden to a canon that was sexist, contradictory, and came out almost 60 years ago.
