I'm still thinking about Qyn and Ezra raaah !!

So my whole lore thing is Ezra is from another distant kingdom that fell. The kingdom fell more from the power struggle between monarchs rather than a plague.

Ezra is from that kingdoms hive, and is like a prince/heir of the throne. The hives queen joined the larger kingdom unlike the hollow nest hive, due in part to help her subjects and receive more allies and aid. Instead of the bees working as regular bees, i.e there's only one queen who gets killed once a new queen is reared, I hc that the hk bees have heirs and such.

Once the hive joins the wider kingdom, Ezra is given the task of aiding their head researcher, Qyn, due to Ezra's knowledge of the soul/magic system of their land, as well as his research on other kingdoms and their ruling systems.

I'm still figuring out their relationship, but they fall into that grey area of like, best friends but also romantic partners but also Qyn sucks and isn't as invested as Ezra but he does care for him. Also Qyn takes steps to make Ezra assimilate into the main kingdoms culture so Toxic Work Situationship™ is their vibe basically.

I've drawn them dancing before but I just love thinking of the poses alot and of Grimm teaching Ezra since Ez needs dancing as enrichment being a bee and all lol

I headcannon that Hollow Knight bees still communicate via dancing/wiggles even though they can speak. It's like a secondary way to get emotions/intent across !

Uhm uh uh...I have no excuse for this 😔 PPG self insert who is secretly an alien! I imagine her intro episode would have her having a little romance with the professor when he comes into a bookstore she works at/owns and the girls being (rightfully, given the prof's dating history) suspicious of her. Wacky capers ensue where they try to prove that she's up to no good, only to find that she genuinely is just chilling and wants to live a normal life on earth!

Well, normal as she can, now that she knows this family! I think she'd fit right in 😉
