Are there any specific types of Akumas that are your most-preferred (like based around a certain mythical monster or based off a theme like hatred), or do you like any type of Akumas in Miraculous Ladybug?

Well to answer your question, I love akumas that have based of some creature like a animal or insect! I also love when their powers are based on their hobbies like Evilustrator or Reverser. But if I have to pick one it probably be creature one. I also themes akumas as well.

MLB Movie

Here's my unpopular take of the day.

I really liked the songs in the movie.

They brain scratched really well.

And like zero hate to English VA because she sings beautifully but I think French VA sounds more like she's a professional singer which is good for the movie.

I literally loved the songs and while yeah they didn't sound the same as the English VAs for some characters but it still sounded good.

Also a promise could also mean a legally binding contract.

Like we need to stop acting like the songs sounded bad because they didn't.

Like I was disappointed to when the VA was different for the songs but I still absolutely loved them!

In canon, do you think if zoé wasn't introduced in S4 that aurore would've been a good pick for the bee miraculous and if no who do you think would've been a good option?

Sorry, but even though I love Aurore's design and her character in theory, within the actual show she is just a background character who fulfilled her purpose in her debut episode. It's really weird for me to try to rank her among other characters when she only has one episode to really show off who she is (even her "sequel" episode made her a footnote at best).

As for who'd make a good back up bee, Zoe is fine, though with such an OP power you'd want it to go to a story important character so that it could be used pretty often while elevating that person's role, so I'd probably give it to Alya tbh. While the fox should've been a good role for Alya narratively, both as a hero and a civilian, they didn't really make use of it until some of Season 4 and then dropped it, so it's not much of a loss to switch her to the Bee instead.

I think writers/creators should keep in mind that not just because you dislike one of your characters means you should throw all of their development and potential out the window and give them unsatisfactory treatment in the narrative.

okay you know what actually I’m gonna say something concerning Adrien real quick

I’ve seen the take that Adrien’s devotion to Marinette robs him of total autonomy and that he only serves to boost up the main character, or that it makes him less than a fully developed character

and I see where that’s coming from, because he’s never been able to nail down what he wants from his future, meanwhile marinette has a ton of dreams. and thus, to some people, it makes him a bland character. “no depth”

but idk. the way I read it?

when I grew up in an abusive household, what I thought about concerning my future was safety. and that usually came in the form of love, support, and a slow life. I dreamed about being with someone and doing whatever we wanted - but this usually included mundane things like sleeping in without harm, or doing things around town, or sitting in silence together. little things where I didn’t have to be in flight/fright/freeze mode so much.

we can see from jubilation that he would deep down, really be okay with that! a stay at home dad! going on mundane little vacations where he could relax!

I get it if it’s not your cup of tea. but I think it’s a very real response to an unstable um, last 15 years of his life.

and his dreams can change once he feels stable, and at home, and that safety. he still has like literally 15 more years before he’d be considered not ‘young’ anymore.

but idk. personally, I just like the story of someone who receives emotional abuse and dreams of being safe. I think that’s valid.

Everyone always goes on about how Adrien and Mylene aren't assholes despite experiencing trauma

But

Surprise, surprise!! People react differently to trauma!

YOU may wanna be a better person, YOU may never wanna be mean.

But not everyone comes out of trauma all nice and kind.

Obviously, and I can't stress this enough cuz sometimes people CANT FUCKING READ. This doesn't mean be a bully, this isn't excusing Chloe. She's a fucking bully and an asshole. We KNOW that.

But holy shit. Not everyone wants to be a good person, sometimes when you feel shitty you wanna lash out and take it out on everyone. Is it right? FUCK NO. But it happens.

It doesn't make then evil, (especially when you're fucking 14 and you get compared to a literal grown terrorist, bffr)

Also. Marinette told Chloe in order for her shitty mom to love her she had to act like her..no ones gonna talk about that stupid ass evidence?? Just. God damn.

Also. Mylenes mom abandoning her shouldn't be compared to Chloes mom abandoning her to have a whole other child and leaving Chloe with a spineless, useless father who gave her EVERYTHING she wanted and never taught her how to act cuz he sucks.

Adrien was conditioned to act properly and do everything he's told or he'll get his freedom or anything he loves takin away, and despite that he still sees the good in people, that's great!!

Chloe was raised being handing everything with no consequences. They can't be comparable!

Chloe definitely deserves to be called out for bullying but she's not worst than all the shitty parents or terrorists in this show idc

This thought just suddenly came to me - “Big” Jack Horner from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is essentially the Chloe Bourgeois that Thomas Astruc intended to write in Miraculous Ladybug from the get-go and has since desperately been writing even when his prior failure contradicted it: a spoiled, privileged, entitled, petty, sadistic, and humorously self-aware and over-the-top sociopath who loves no-one but themselves and can never ever be redeemed.

This was the intended audience reaction to Chloe:

Unfortunately for Astruc, for some reason or other he bungled this completely in Seasons 1-3 of the show, portraying a Chloe that had significantly more nuance than that, which means now he’s stuck jamming a square peg into a round hole and insisting viewers go along with it.
