Usually, whenever I am in South Beach, I’ll make at least one pilgrimage to Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply to see what their creative minds are up to, but on this trip it was so close to us (I had honestly forgotten how close it is to The Gates) that we were there nearly every day of our stay.
They have an excellent happy hour from 4-8PM, and so between my husband and I we tried a few of those drinks like the sangria and the spicy coconut margarita, as well as some of the other concoctions on the menu. The tropical negroni, complete with mango vinegar, was a particular favorite, and I love that their take on the classic martini, The Spaniard, not only comes with bleu cheese-stuffed olives, but also a little side of Marcona almonds.
Their drinks are legendary, but I’m also a huge fan of their snacks and small plates: I’ve loved the Caviar Dip so much I made my own version at home, and this time the pickled eggs and shishito peppers were welcome new additions to the menu since our last visit in 2022.
