Hey Olomaya. I really love your smoking mod, it's really great for my adult sims. Do you plan to do any more "adult mods"? Maybe alcohol mod? I know there is one by ani, but that mod isn't complete and creator do not plan to update it. I wish sims could become addicted to nectar if they consume it often and there would be more crazy outcomes from being drunk. Anyway it's just suggestion, I know you have a lot of projects going on, so do not mind this if you just simply not interested :)

Thanks Anon! 😊 I do actually have a half-finished alcoholic drinks mod that adds buyable alcohol (wine, beer, spirits), allows for cocktail recipes, and yes, alcohol addiction (that's the plan at least). I got bored (as I often do) during the testing phase and I haven't gotten back to it but it's on my list of WiPs to finish up next year.

In general, I would like to do more NSFW/grittier type mods. I have ideas but you know...

Moody Blackberry Sangria

If you’re looking for a spooky cocktail for Halloween, blackberry sangria is an excellent option.

It has a deep, rich purple hue that’s almost black, and the garnishes of blackberries and mint leaves make it look almost like a magical potion from the darkest moment of a fairytale.

It’s easy to make and will take you only a few minutes to whip up an entire pitcher.

Blackberry Sangria Recipe

This easy blackberry sangria is faster and easier than the traditional recipe. Make an individual glass for yourself, or a pitcher for friends!

*  Recipes below for pitcher size and individual glass sizes

*  Pitcher size recipe serves about 7 or 8 glasses

*  Calories -  Approximately 220 per serving

Ingredients

Blackberry Sangria

40 blackberries (about 2 cups)

1/2 cup sugar

1 cup orange brandy (such as grand marnier or gala gala)

3 cups red wine

soda water or sprite

Garnish

Blackberries

Mint or lemon balm

Instructions

In a pitcher, muddle together blackberries and sugar.

Add orange brandy and red wine, then stir.

Let sit about 15 minutes to let the sugar dissolve.

Serve over ice, topped with a little soda water or sprite.

Garnish with fresh blackberries and mint.

For a single glass of blackberry sangria 

Follow the instructions above using these measurements:

 5 large blackberries

1 tablespoon sugar

1 oz orange brandy

3 oz red wine

 splash of soda water

NOTES: 

No need to break the bank on the wine, a red blend will do. Lean towards a medium bodied wine with plum, pomegranate or berry notes.

Make sure to let the sugar dissolve before serving the sangria. A gritty sangria is unpleasant. It should only take 10 to 15 minutes for the sugar granules to dissolve in the alcohol.

For you whippersnappers without octogenarians in your family: Tom & Jerry is a drink in the eggnog category, created as part of a Pierce Egan book and stage play in the 1820s, which freshly mixes a batter of spiced egg reconstituted with hot water or hot milk with brandy and rum, served at Christmas. The batter is sold at the supermarket in flat tubs, same style as is used for clam dip, in the refrigerated endcap. The cat-and-mouse cartoon’s name also derives from the Egan story, though watching it while drinking this makes sense.

And yes, my family did have a set of glasses fairly similar to the first one, which were hauled out by my mother or grandmother every year, though I can’t say I ever tried the drink myself (or in its full form anyway, I think I was served it without the alcohol once). My girlfriend says her family had a set and drank the drink also, though apparently not with the same zeal and zest as my kin did; they also were into hot buttered rum, which I have discovered to a smaller degree also has personalized glasses available.
